I saw someone talking about how with the scenes added in the ebook and with the scenes in the ongoing side story, with emphasis on that one scene where LHH talks about the heroine of ORV, DokSoo might become canon. And while they did mention that they read the side story, I thought that that particular scene pretty much sunk many ships?

oh boy ngl i was a bit reluctant answering this ask but imo this is just fans' wishful thinking rather than singshong walking through a doksoo route.

the doksoo scenes added to the ebook arent really so fundamental to the point that theyre the closest ship to become canon. in fact I'd say that the main reason to make them canon would be that it's a (well-developed) straight ship tbh. in the 1863rd turn, theres an added smoking-on-the-roof scene. kdj tries smoking and immediately has a coughing fit. hsy asks him if she did well in this round. this added scene is a direct parallel to kdj telling her that she did well during the enemy of the story arc

another scene is during kaizenix. yjh and kdj decide to try the romance route and bcs yuri was in love with ricardo, it's kdj who writes the letter "write a story that's for me and me alone" this is also a foreshadowing to what we learn in the epilogue lol. to expand more on kaizenix, we also have yjh telling kdj that his writing skills are terrible despite him reading so much, kdj tells him that with his face he certainly didnt have any problems with courting. yjh then goes on a thinking tangent about how he could not care less about the looks of someone he likes (and we know who is called ugly throughout the book)

as for the lhh part where he talks about orv's heroine (kdj's love interest in this context) he is 100% not referring to han sooyoung. he says that the character he had in mind didnt have as much screentime as the other leads. the main women in orv when it comes to screentime are hsy jhw uriel and ysa. going by lhh's logic and IF his words represent singshong's stance, then hsy is immediately ruled out. i also wouldn't consider jhw for the role either, not only bcs i didnt really see their scenes with a romantic undertone but also why would singshong write kdj's romantic interest love someone else (lhs) romantically?

with uriel, unless you consider kdj/uriel to be a direct parallel to 999yjh/999uriel then i dont think shes The candidate either. now for ysa, im a bit iffy when it comes to her bcs sure she doesnt have as much as screentime as lets say yoohankim but shes also not someone you would consider neglected (like lsh for example) also i genuinely think that romance would undermine doksang's bonds. i think theyre so good BECAUSE theyre platonic

singshong have told us in multiple ways that orv is not a story about a canon romance so you can interpret the ending however you want just dont mis-label the novel's genre (this includes both het and gay romance). plus i just dont think they would shoot themselves on the foot and risk "angering" the largest active part of the fandom (general statement). i dont want to sound arrogant but you cant deny that joongdok shippers are the backbone of orv fandom and joongdok artists have been the only ones to be recruited to promote orv. alter (the official artist before blackbox) is a danmei artist, blackbox is a joongdok shipper, haban (taiwanese release cover artist) has a danmei history, the artist of the simplified cn version release has jd porn on their twitter and so on. certainly singshong are aware that orv didn't get this big bcs some guy recommended it in solo leveling's comment sections

speaking of guys, not every dudebro out there ships doksoo anw, some like doksang, some dont ship anything. the same can be said about the female audience too. not everyone ships joongdok. some ship doksoo, some yoohankim, some nothing thats not canon. im not part of the latest group since i could not care less about a ship's canon status lol

i mean how sam always seems to have the final say, sam and his new gf got colby with someone they picked, sam dominates opinions during interviews even if colby speaks sam always has the final say, he says things like people shouldn’t live life via a book (talking on christianity whilst sitting next to his christian best friend) but then lives his own life via self help books and preaches them at every chance (whats the difference?). the structure of their videos now are basically everything sam wants to do (rituals and such), it was him and his family who made the financial decisions for the both of them and they share a bank account (this was probably smart when they were 16 and im sure they have personal accounts too)

i also saw people on twitter saying colby looks like hes starting to figure it out. how also sam would not have made it half as far in his career without eye candy colby standing beside him. how sam treated kat and how many colby is seeing similarities with his own relationship with him.

colbys codependent on sam so he would never walk away but i hope sam isnt taking advantage of him or manipulating him in anyway to make colby stay around.

a lot of this isn't really manipulation. at least i don't believe it to be.

sam is a control freak who thinks he's always right/is too stubborn to listen to others. and colby goes along with a lot of what sam says bc one, that is his best friend and business partner, and two, colby doesn't see himself as intelligent like sam so sam's able to get his way a lot bc colby won't rock the boat/trust his own opinions.

it would be manipulative if sam fed into those insecurities colby has and told him "yeah we should go with what i want bc your choices are poor" but colby actively deciding to go with what sam says just bc he thinks his idea is good is not sam being manipulative.

for everything else, i'll break it down how i think it is.

colby was going out with ms singer, k's other friend, before all going out with m. and that didn't work out so that's why k introduced m to colby and they hit it off. that's not really sam playing a part or manipulating colby to date someone just bc. i think that was just happenstance tbh.

sam just talks a lot more than colby. i personally think also as of recently colby seems disinterested in a lot of the outside content they have been doing, and i think that's from burnout and the fandom et large just constantly berating him and it tiring him out.

the christianity/self help thing is just sam being hyprocritical. it's also why i find his argument of not like astrologers to be stupid. just bc it don't make sense to you doesn't mean it's lesser than. i think it's dumb to read a book written by (basically) a get rich quick scheme artist who hasn't had any hardships but knows therapy speak relatively well, and for some reason that makes them qualified to tell me how to live my best life. but hey, to each their own lol

the structure of vids… eh, i think they both agree to that layout. and i think part of that also comes from the comments and what some ppl want as well.

sam's family being involved has less to do with sam and more to do with colby's family just not taking his dreams and career seriously. not to mention, sam's dad was already retired by the time snc were getting started so it makes sense that that man knows a thing or two more about business. and also he tried to be in their lives and it seems as if colby's parents (minus his mother) didn't so again, not really sam.

and the boys, i would assume, have both the business account and their own personal ones. they just talk about and use the same business account more (probably for tax write offs lol).

i do think colby wants time away from the brand and business, but i don't think it's sam's doing that makes him want to leave, at least not fully. i think the over working and the constant long hours/having little to no time off has definitely put a damper on things for colby. and some of that is also tied to sam wanting them both to constantly work and needing to do something "productive" at all times. but i think that's also why they have reduced their work load a lot.

i think in the long run colby will not be in this business as long as sam might want him to be/will be. colby seems about ready to dip out to me sometimes, but i think that also comes from the pressure of the fans and how mean they can be. how invasive they can be. how careless they continue to be towards someone they claim to love. colby keeps a lot inward, and this tied with his own personal struggles (along with his cancer and such), i think colby wants time away that he feels like he can't take. and whether that's bc of sam or other facts is not something we really know 100% about.

i believe they are both very codependent on each other, mostly bc, as they have mentioned, they are the only ppl in their lives they feel they can be 100% themselves around. not to mention every bad and good moment in the last 10+ years has had each other in it, so of course they are gonna rely heavily on one another. i do hope they eventually take some time to be by themselves, away from one another. just to get some space. i don't think that's happening any time soon, unless something major transpires.

but short answer, no. i don't think sam is being manipulative towards colby. i think colby can make his own decisions, regardless of sam. he actively chooses to be with sam daily. i'm sure if he didn't like it he would have left by now lol

i'm a moderator for the ribbon master discord, which is a community dedicated to getting as many ribbons as possible on individual pokemon (i have many ribbon masters myself!) technically i'm also a mod on the community reddit but uh i just let the other mods handle the reddit lol. i've been in the rm community for 4 years now

not me specifically but ayano who i share a brain with runs the pokemon fansite blue moon falls which has a lot of comprehensive articles and custom coded tools pertaining to RBY/GSC and the rest of gens 1 and 2 (she's the reason that the internet has all those nice gifs of stadium 2's idle animations now btw)

in speaking of ayano, she's also a full odds shiny hunter and is a decently well known name in that community due to her resources and general friendliness lmao

i'm not as active /w it atm because my art focus has been more on human characters but for the majority of my life i was what people would call a "pokefurry" and i have a metric fuckton of pokemon artwork under my belt

on that note i've written pokemon fanfiction on occasion too though nothing major

i'm a casual VGC competitor - i ladder in-game relatively often, keep up to date with the meta, and i attended my first regionals this year and met up with a lot of pokemon folk in the process! i hope to attend more events in the future

i know a tiny bit about romhacking and made a romhack of firered that lets me play the entire game as kafu once, with kaf as my rival. i also have a bunch of personal lost media of "story" videos i made as a young child by stitching together recordings of fake cutscenes i romhacked into pokemon ruby

i made all these really shitty pokemon fangames when i was around 10 years old and i'm kind of obsessed with them

apparently i'm a pokemon horizons fan now and people keep acting like im the second coming of christ in terms of likodot on twitter so maybe that means something (LIGHTHEARTED I AM JUST SHOCKED BY THE POSITIVE ATTENTION)

i own more pokemon plushies than what's healthy and i wish i could show them here but a lot of them are in a storage bag rn

my pokemon game collection is also fucking ridiculous but i'm too lazy to put all that together for a photo. for what it's worth i own at least one copy of every single mainline pokemon game before the 3ds era including all alternate versions (diamond pearl AND platinum instead of just one for example) and almost all spinoffs aside from like, 3 of them

hiiii my break is over :3 i got what i needed out of it even if it didnt end up being a full week. also, ive Learned Some Things that i will now share

so basically i realized i REALLY needed this break, and i didnt know how badly i needed it until i took it. i was addicted to socmed so bad i was dependent on it. but w the break i realized i rly dont Need to be on socmed 24/7 to be happy (which should be obvious but...ya. things like that arent rly obvious until ur faced w them i guess)

i didnt draw as much as i thought i would--in fact i hardly drew at all? which surprised me. but what surprised me even more is that i DIDNT FEEL BAD about it.

usually when i dont draw a lot every day i get super depressed. but i realized that was bc i felt an expectation and a pressure to draw stuff to post to socmed, and if i wasnt "producing" then i was wasting time. but this week i just drew when i felt like it, when i wanted to, and i didnt feel bad at all when i didnt feel like drawing. it was..a big relief LOL

i also got to spend more time w my wife and that felt amazing in itself. we talked way more, had great conversations, and just generally bonded. i loved it

i realized i didnt need huge servers + socmed for all my socialization all the time. tbh? eden is enough 99% of the time. which is. how it should be i think LOL

but ya. going forward im going to be a little less active on socmed still. its great for my mental health and i hate the idea of relying on socmed for everything anymore. of course i'll still be somewhat active and post stuff, but not nearly to the degree i felt i needed to be! im going to feel free to just, close twitter and tumblr tabs when i feel like it. before, i NEVER closed those tabs. ever. and that was a bad sign lol

i don't know who's running the boycott the chosen account, but i know they have a twitter also & i thought it would be really helpful to make an instagram as well. that's where the official accounts for it and most of the actors are mainly active, and where they're most likely to gain traction. i was actually originally planning on making one before i saw that account haha, sending this to you because you've been posting a lot about boycotting too and hopefully they see this as well

also, id like to point out that shaan sharma (actor of shmuel) is on the sag-aftra board of directors. we could get more traction if it's known about him that he's in the show that supports zionism, he's the most famous (besides nick avari as nicodemus, but he was only season 1). i know sag-aftra itself has shown support for israel too, it could tie in with protesting against them.

and luke dimyan (judas) & alaa safi (simon zee) are arab and muslim, respectively. absolutely not placing more blame or responsibility on those two but they are part of those groups. i don't personally think a season 4 boycott at this stage would make a big difference but the main thing is about gaining bigger traction where the fanbase is mainly active. i guess if enough traction is gained we could pressure them, luke's been especially vocal about being arab

i'm basically asking/telling you because i would absolutely like to help out right now but it feels hopeless, besides boycotting s4 (and there are so few of us) and donating to the fundraiser. is there anything else that can be done? i really suggest going on instagram to properly gain attention tbh, that's my main method, but i personally am too busy and don't know enough to get involved directly (like run the account myself). sorry if this is very out of left field

I understand and also agree that boycotting at this stage may seem hopeless. The best thing we could do is just try and reach out to more people to drop the show and to not give those people more money for the future last 3 seasons they have planned.

Also reach out to some of the cast with a well written explanation + evidence should it be needed, about our concerns of them staying in the production. Instagram would be a good platform to reach out more people as you say, but I'm not very active there and i have little knowledge as to how the algorithm works there. TikTok would work too, since they have attention there thanks to the silly BTS videos they make sometimes. I already made a video on it and i plan to do more, but since i returned to college this week, im a bit limited on time...

the charleslebatman account is a top tier alex hater. alex like two tweets on twitter about the french retirement law, both articles, one being satire and the account is now saying she approves a dictatorial system and is a horrible person. she liked tweets containing articles, not tweets supporting it. obviously news agencies can lean left or right politically but one of the things about news is it is generally supposed to be impartial. saying she supports the law bc she likes the tweets is like saying everyone who likes a tweet from the news about russia bombing ukraine is supporting russia. it makes no sense. it’s news, not a racist or sexist joke. she and her anons also claim that alex deleting her twitter is an admission of guilt. alex was barely active on twitter, she probably deleted it because people were being so invasive, and also with the types of psychos on twitter, they could have been sending anything into her dms. she also deleted her linked in around the same time, does that mean she’s never going to get a job or drop out of college ? her account was good at first but she’s sounding more and more like my secret gossip for alex, im sorry but it’s literally giving me flashbacks to last year.

I read some of the things that were said there and tbh, I don’t want to keep reading that none sense lol. I don’t know why it’s so hard for anons to understand that defending doesn’t mean idolizing. Alexandra has been dragged, harassed, and stalked since the moment they linked her to Charles; to the point she had to make her Instagram account private. Apparently she deleted her TikTok or made it private and deleted her Twitter account as well.

I don’t understand how they think this is normal, and really I don’t understand how defending someone is idolizing them.

So, what's up with the hate against the Queen? I respect that's your view and will fight for your right to say it, I just have a genuine curiosity about the why, though. I want to understand your perspective better.

tbh im not a good person to ask purely because i am a white british person, so like a lot of things, do not let this be the final word you hear about this; plenty of people out there are ACTUAL victims of the royal family and the british empire's atrocities, and their resources will be much better. but i will summarise:

-the queen (and in turn, the royal family) have overlooked/approved/indulged in plenty of colonialism of MANY countries. i cannot possibly list them all, but i will link a video discussing a particular instance in Kenya and their battle for independence (massive content warning, its very upsetting and is from the pov of a victim of torture by the british empire). here's also a twitter thread on her rule over Yemen.

-to add onto the colonialism, her crown and scepter contains the largest cut diamond STOLEN from Africa.

-defended a bunch of nonces

-generally racist ass family (as discussed by meghan markle and prince harry - i'll choose to not apply this list to them due to them having distanced themselves from the family)

-the amount of money spent on the royal family is RIDICULOUS. if you don't live in the uk you may not be aware that we are going through a major cost of living crisis right now. my mother and i will not even be turning the heating on all winter because we simply cannot afford it, and we likely won't be using the oven either. meanwhile they're allowed to spend all of our taxes on a ridiculous event to parade her lifeless corpse around london, all for someone who has done literally nothing for this country and atrocities on many others.

-her and the rest of the royal family's treatment of princess diana was abismal

-^i recall hearing that the queen discouraged princess diana's activism involving the AIDS crisis because it 'wasn't pleasant enough' but i did not fact check this so take it with a grain of salt. but i wouldn't be surprised.

-there's more that i cannot think of from the top of my head, but it's not hard to find people talking about it.

basically, i have zero sympathy for her or the royal family. she's an imperialist monster who i wish didn't live a life of luxury built from both the resources she stole from other countries and the taxes of the struggling working class in the uk itself. whenever i ask a royalist what she has done for this country they do not have a clear answer, because there truly is nothing to respect about her. they're a sham that we've been indoctrinated into thinking that just because they're descendants of an incredibly inbred line of aristocrats that they for some reason deserve more respect than everyone.
