JOAQUIN SLEEPING IN SERGIO'S BED IS SO CUTE STOP ITTTT
also pls show give us another apartment tour I KNOW you've been messing around with it againn 🙏
answering this like 2 weeks late so the first part of ur message is so funny out of context LOL sighhh you simply had to be there <3 I don't think I've done enough to warrant a full-on updated tour, but I'll give u the 411 on the bigger changes
Tumblr media
here's the previous tour if you need a refresher for the layout, which has mostly remained the same (at least the birds eye view for which/where each room is)
Tumblr media
IMO the biggest/most noticeable change (as seen in recent b roll/ask pics) is the addition of these brick columns(?) sorta framing the front door. there was a lot of empty space that was such a lost void to the eyes in screenshots and while the darker wallpaper helped neutralize it, that front area still looked so bare and flat to me. now there's some dimension and #texture and if anything I'm questioning if it looks too busy now LMAO but far better than before
THE DOOR! one of my biggest pet peeves about this apartment was the fkn sad hunk of brown wood ugh like I know it's meant to add to the ~dingy city apartment~ atmosphere, but it just looked so out of place to me like that shit didn't even have a lock tf!! I used TOOL to update all the apartment doors in this building to the dorm ones that came with DU & it makes a lot more sense with the lil peephole, lock, and emergency exit map on the inside. I may recolor it to make it a little more weathered, but I'm defo happier with how it looks now
general furniture changes, as you can probably pick out. I'm switching swatches and swapping things in/out practically every time I open their save so take the specifics with a grain of salt, but I like how things are generally evolving (mainly just filling up dead space). I was torn about getting rid of their projector screen but I stumbled upon the r/TVtoohigh subreddit recently which has made me rethink every TV placement ever in sims And real life LMAO so I wanted something more leveled with their couch. speaking of, upgraded them to a sectional finally. adulthood!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I made their kitchen 1 square shorter length-wise so I could flatten out that weird bit between the kitchen and bathroom (if you look at the previous apartment tour, the archway area kinda just juts out and makes this awkward corner by the bathroom door). the extra kitchen space wasn't necessary anyway bc it pretty much looks and functions exactly the same. I moved the fridge to the left because it was partially blocking the window and I always got weird routing issues whenever someone needed an empty counter to cook on, so now there's a designated empty counter for that 🧑‍🍳
I'm phasing out some of the more Loud (for lack of better term) English/real language decor (for example, that silly marihuana poster I recolored) -- definitely not planning on going the full-simlish route, but I feel like some of the wordier pieces can get distracting & I'm trying to be more mindful about what's taking up visual space/attention in screenshots ykwim?? mise en scène or whatever that fuck 🤌 and while I'm trying to piece together a more cohesive/complementary flow decor wise, I also want to be realistic about their ages/tastes -- for example the bella goth pop art piece represents their vaguely trend-forward millennial artistic sensibilities but also their juvenile hornball tendencies don't you think

there’re obviously ways of adding humans in tf/writing tf stories based on earth that work but if we could take a long long break before seeing humans on tf media again id be really grateful

i hit 500 followers!! thank you all so much for the support <3 !!!
as i promised, i made a little thing with some general advice for writing yandere. please don’t think these are guidelines by any means, my writing is not perfect whatsoever! i just think these are things that might be helpful, and you can expand upon yourself. its fine if you dont do any of these things since writing is very fluid! experiment and have fun
-
Hello, Lock here, finally using proper capitalization for once. As a thank you for hitting 500 followers, I wanted to give my advice on writing yandere. This isn’t a make or break list of things, but it’s what I believe is important as someone who has spent a lot of time reading/writing yandere works.
For introduction’s sake, what is yandere? It’s considered as a character who is “love sick” to an unhealthy degree for another. But that is the basis for yandere, and it can be expanded upon depending on the character from that point.
I would like to compare yandere stories to the typical story format. Instead of exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution; I propose this.
I will be breaking down what these parts are, and how they are important to yandere story writing. Let’s get into it!
Meeting
Initial/later attraction
Confrontation
Pursuit
Final solution
Tumblr media
Meeting:
This sounds pretty self explanatory, right? Every yandere story has to start with it. That stars aligned moment for the yandere, as they see their darling for the first time. I think a lot of people might find this segment boring, but if done right, it can be one of the most interesting (imo).
These are the questions to ask: Is there an inciting moment that causes the obsession? What are the circumstances? What point of view will you be writing from? And finally, thinking of nuances for the yandere’s descent into madness.
Having a set circumstance where a character becomes yandere for their darling is vital. It could be simple things, or could be the complete core of your story. Consider the yandere first, what do you think would complete them? Are they cold, lonely? Their darling being kind to them in their darkest hour could be the “circumstance” that sparks their obsession. Or, it could extend far back into their childhood, as an inciting moment that stays with them forever. There’s a lot of playing around you can do here! Let your imagination run wild for the meeting.
Point of view plays into this as well. Will you be writing from the darling’s point of view, where they can pick up on what the yandere is doing? Or will it be from the yandere’s point of view, detailing their dark thoughts and feelings towards their darling? I think that either can be good for a story. If you want to do both there are ways to incorporate that as well. Having the story start from darling’s POV, then later having the yandere’s POV... and such.
If you’re putting a lot of effort into your “meeting”, then you’ll be able to play off of it a lot for the rest of the story. It’ll pay off as you can branch out from the character you establish early on. A yandere’s reasoning for loving their darling is important, after all!
Examples of “Meeting” from my work: (1)
Initial/later attraction:
This is where it starts getting fun. Lots of yandere stories will start here, especially one-shots. Point of view is important to take into account here, as stated earlier. Creepiness is best slow burn, as you can write a character’s descent into madness. A lot of this will depend on the character you’re making yandere.
If they’re already morally upstanding, how would they justify their dark attraction? If they’re a good person already by our standards, this can be tricky. But you can use the meeting as a means to an end here. If their darling helped them when they needed it most, that would explain why the character will make immoral decisions. Some characters might want to protect a darling, might be more self aware of their selfishness, etc. Thinking about this can add a lot of nuances to your yandere!
If they’re not morally upstanding, it’s a bit simpler. Characters like this have already shown their selfishness/ability to bypass what’s socially acceptable. You can have them justify it to themselves, if you want, but it’s really a personal preference. Here you can go a bit more wild since the character has less limits, as they’ve already made a dark descent before.
Some of the things you normally see in this phase are as follows: stalking, finding out more information on darling, strange behavior towards darling, and plenty more. But lots of stories build off that foundation.
Examples of initial/later attraction from my work: (1)
Confrontation:
A yandere can only take their darling being away from them for so long. This could be closely compared to the climax of a story. You have written their stalking, their dark feelings, the meeting that made them this way. Now it can all pay off as something sets the yandere off (either their own thoughts or something that happens to the darling) and they go to take what’s theirs.
There is so much you can do here, but I feel like people don’t explore it enough. A lot of stories I’ve read, it goes “you’re mine!” and they just scoop them up. That’s fine and all, but there’s so much you can expand upon and have fun with!
Have your yandere show nuance. Impatience, cold distance, even from their darling. Let there be a build up. Some ideas could be (but not limited to): darling find out the yandere’s behavior, the yandere finally deciding to take away their darling (the classic), the darling trying to leave the yandere, and many more. Once you establish your confrontation, there needs to be an emphasis on two things: fear and love.
The fear that the darling will experience, explain it and don’t skip over this. If it’s from the yandere’s POV, go crazy describing the yandere’s thoughts and love. Depending on your confrontation’s situation, it can go a lot of ways. But it’ll typically end with the darling being taken away/threatened into compliance.
I’ll admit that writing fear in yandere stories can feel almost repetitive in a way, so I read over my work over and over again to try and spice it up. One of the best inspirations I have is my favorite yandere story, DatWeirdWriter’s ability to create a palpable sense of horror is... I can’t compliment it enough. If you’re ever feeling stuck come check this out. Heavy TW though.
Examples of “Confrontation” in my work: (1), (2), (3), (4)
Pursuit:
Pursuit is also a fun one. You had your yandere show their true colors, and now you can detail what immoral plans they have in place for their darling. This is typically where the darling is held against their will in a yandere story.
Will the yandere try to be affectionate and comfort their upset darling? Will the yandere get upset that their darling doesn’t return their feelings? Will the yandere punish their darling with various things in order to prove a point? This section should be about the yandere’s “pursuit” of their darling, as they can finally be themselves.
The darling’s feelings are important here as well. You can have them plan escapes, have them be chipped away at and slowly accept the yandere, or have them break down and much more. There are plenty of things to expand upon here.
In cases of escape, there’s also if the yandere gets them back. What dialogue happens there? What does the yandere feel? So many possibilities...
Try and put an emphasis on unique situations here. When I first started yandere, I used the same situations over and over again. One of your best tools is to daydream about situations you’d like, don’t be afraid to indulge yourself. If I even feel stuck, or like the situation I’m writing is boring, I go and read some of my favorite writers work. It’s inspiring and helps me brainstorm further.
Examples of “Pursuit” from my work: (1), (2)
Solution:
This would be what the yandere and darling have as an ending. Personally I rarely write one-shots for stuff like this as it’s my least favorite lmao. But it’s important if you’re writing a series. I’d say that this one is the least flexible, as it typically ends in one of two ways.
Darling escapes/yandere is stopped,
Or darling is held captive forever and yandere gets what they want.
The further details of these two endings can be at your discretion. Ranging from the darling attempting an escape, and getting snatched back up by the yandere and complying, an outward party coming to help the darling, and whatever suits your preference. There is also some endings I’ve seen where a yandere becomes “reformed”, and changes their ways.
Buuut that’s pretty tricky to do, but it can be done.
For the darling finally giving into the yandere, this can be a unique dynamic. Have they completely given up? Do they become a shell of their former self (and if they do does the yandere like that/dislike it)? My favorite thing to do with this is to have the darling love the yandere back, but have their own reservations.
A yandere will still have their possessive tendencies even if their darling does love them back.
Examples of “Solution” from my work: (1), (2), (3)
Once again, I wish to reiterate that these are not rules. I’ve seen plenty of works that probably wouldn’t fall into these categories (although it’s a small amount), and they’re amazing as well.
I’m hoping that all of the stuff I typed here amounts to something. If you ever have any questions or want advice feel free to message me! I’ll try and do my best to help you out. Thank you for reading if you got this far. If there’s anything you want to add please feel free to do so! I’m curious to see if anyone has thoughts to expand off it.

After your binge-watching session, which would say is better: Kim Possible or Danny Phantom, and why?
Someone actually interested in my opinion for once?
Tumblr media
Well it depends, both have their pros and cons in regards to episode plots/arcs, characters and chara development, character designs etc. So I’ll suppose I’ll break them down into different categories. Under a cut as to not make scrolling a hassle.
Also I apologize in advance for my page theme, I know it’s kinda shitty and hard to read sometimes but I’m too busy to change it right now.
Designs/Art: I know Stephen Silver was the main designer for both shows (and his designs for a lot of the teenage girls has a uh, Obvious Pattern.) Ignoring my bias towards Vlad and Drakken, I think a lot of the ghosts have fun designs, but KP gets points for actually letting characters (esp Kim and Ron) wear other clothes in S2 and beyond, and between Phantom, S1 Kim and S4 Kim I think S4 Kim has the best “action” outfit. BUT the art style for DP is pretty stiff at times and KP style has a lot more range for animation, body types and faces.  Overall though, I say they’re pretty tied imo. Both have a lot of ups and downs that truly comes down to a personal pref, even though the Fartman’s style is the more iconic one. I think KP wins animation/art and DP wins for designs.
Characters: Again, the villains shine here more than the protags. KP as such a wide range of villains that I have have to give them the point for creativity and FUN in antagonists, (Duff Killigan is prob my favorite in absurdity followed by Monkey Fist, the Seniors and DNAmy all tied for second. I really like Motor Ed too, seriously.) but that’s not to say that DP doesn’t have them either. Vlad’s true motivations are really...unique compared to other DP villains and even KP ones, (seriously? How many bad guys you know who’s goal in life is “fuck the MC’s mom and also make MC your son”) who like KP are just “take over the world and/or cause tons of destruction” but with only half the fun. Sadly Dark Danny’s entire thing hinges on him being Danny But Evil who only wants...destruction??? Whereas Evil Ron actually does something interesting with the character, showing Ron’s true potential (see Evil Ron vs Electronique in “Stop Team Go” for example) and being in-character for him still. (Faux Take Over The World plot to cover his true goal of owning all the world’s Nacos? Of fucking course Ron would. Brilliant.) Evil Ron still has hints of Ron’s personality (”Boo-yahaHAHAHA!”) whereas Dark Danny is just... evil for evil’s sake, which can be good when actually done right, but in this case isn’t because the only thing that resembles Danny is his outfit. Shego’s backstory is great. DP’s new S3 enemies are very boring despite interesting powers. KP S4’s Camille Leon is great but Warmonga is just eh. Moving on to protags, KP’s protags are far, far more interesting than DP’s. Which brings us to the next point. (Also Mr. Barkin > Mr. Lancer, and Kim’s parents > Danny’s parents.) KP gets this one.
Chara Development: Gonna say it, DP almost has none, and straight up regresses in very end of S2 and most of S3. I swear the only real characters who have any are Vlad (for better or for worse, the latter imo), Jazz (when they remember her, and is good) and Valerie (whose is good too). Tucker gets 3 (three!!) fking episodes about him and they ALL carry the same theme of him not being able to responsibly handle having any kind of power, which is why him becoming the town mayor at the end is so BAD. There’s NO WAY Tucker of all people would make a good mayor. VALERIE got more episodes than him, JAZZ got more episodes than him, both with development that STUCK while he’s a MAIN CHARACTER. Sam never changes, def for worse. Sam is a Base-Breaking Character for a dang reason. She’s extremely pushy, acts like she’s lowkey better than everyone else, and never seems to consider how her actions affect other people, and the like 1 or 2 times she does it doesn’t fucking stick like she’s Hank Hill or something. Danny has no real development for his character. All that develops for him are his powers and nothing else. On the other hand, KP characters DO have development and it shows! Not just for the protags but for villains too! Kim is bossy and a lil controlling early on and stops during S2, whereas Ron was extremely cowardly and gets, not exactly braver but just less phased by it all, plus early he never quite liked going on missions but later on gets sad if he has to miss them, before he doesn’t like being distractions but later on very much takes pride in being one, and etc. Drakken and Shego get development too, esp their relationship with each other AND with Ron and Kim. Bonnie actually got an episode of development (but sadly regressed in time for the finale) whereas Pauline just...never changes whatsoever. Bonnie actually makes for a good rival and mean girl for Kim for the entire show whereas Paulina and her relationship with Danny and Sam are just....bland and doesn’t go anywhere. There’s nothing for Dash, though Ron doesn’t really have an equivalent. So, KP gets this one.
Episodes/Plots/Arcs: DP wins in the Lore department by far, KP wins in character arcs. A Sitch In Time answers the great questions of What Would Happen if the Villains Teamed Up AND Shego is a Better Villain than Drakken so Why isn’t She in Charge? ft Time Travel. The Ultimate Enemy answers What If Danny Went Evil and Is Vlad Completely Irredeemable? ft Time Travel. KP definitely does the “balancing Hero duties with School life” better than DP. You can definitely see her struggles with it whereas DP is just kinda there. I also very much like that Kim is girly but is never shamed for it both in-universe and out, whereas DP is known for the shitty “I’m not like other girls” fake feminist bullshit. A problem I have with DP is that time pretty much never changes, as if the show takes place within a year, and it seriously hampers the growth of the show could have. Time is also just out of whack, they take their big end-of-the-year test then it’s Christmas THEN it’s Summer Vacation but even in S3 they’re all still in the first year of high school like ??? What?? Whereas KP starts in Freshman year and ends with Senior Graduation. The arcs of Danny/Sam vs Kim/Ron are just...D/S was definitely teased a ton more but by S3 you just get tired of it, not to mention the hypocrisy regarding the character relationships. Personal opinion warning, but Danny/Valerie had a lot more development in such a short time and was super interesting. Kim/Ron didn’t have as many teasing esp in S1 and S2 (it’s there though) but it def picks up in S3 and I love how their new relationship was handled in S4. Back to episodes, my favorite episodes for both are Reign Storm and So The Drama, but while I might be biased toward Reign Storm I’m gonna have to ultimately give better episodes overall to KP. So The Drama has Drakken going back to his Actually Dangerous roots from early on and becoming the closest to anyone to actually winning on his own merit (Shego stole the Tempus Simia from Drakken/Duff/MF and relied on weird time shit of Kim being “lost in the time stream” ((actual canon explanation)) to travel to the future specifically to stop her, to actually win) and is SO good when Dr. D finally gets defeated, plus (personal bias here) Kim and Ron’s teased hook-up finally happens. I will say though, I’m not a fan of S4′s Hana Stoppable/The Han story. As both shows are action-oriented, they definitely have their fair share of good fights but I think KP also has better action and fight scenes. Humor is extremely subjective but I think KP made me laugh more. Finally, DP is infamous for S3 just being bad whereas KP just got better and better with each season, though I’d put S4 below S3 and above S2. So: Lore = DP. Arcs, Action and Eps = KP.
Fandom: Ignoring the super gross shipping aspects of some parts of the fandom (If ur a P*mpousP*p or K*go shipper pls go away from my stuff i’m fucking serious), I think DP wins for this one. Many great OCs, (I really haven’t seen any for KP aside from next gen?) the already interesting lore is def expanded so much by fans, I legitimately don’t care for “Wes Weston” but my god did the fandom do some serious work for this boy. I don’t know too much about KP since the fandom seems kinda dead aside from some shipping stuff and a very slight revival from the movie, whereas DP ended before KP and is still very very active. DP wins fandom.
(Bonus) Reboots/Redesigns: I’m gonna be honest, I’m not sure what could be done better for KP aside from the mess of Disney’s out-of-order airings, a more serious reboot wouldn’t work for the show at all, but DP could definitely use a reboot and fixes the disaster of S3. And reboots & character redesigns are def a hot topic for the DP fandom. So DP gets this one, though I’m not sure if this is a good thing.
Final: So over all, 4 for KP and 4 for DP, or if you add the little groups, 7 for KP and 4 for DP. Overall, I’ll say KP is the better show, but DP shines with the fandom. I also have a personal bias in favor of DP but it makes them even out for me. If you want interesting lore and good fandom content, go for DP. If you want fun and interesting characters, actual character development and more action and drama, KP is the way to go.
But instead of picking one, just watch both!

Awesome Tag Game
tagged by @tcstu. Sorry this took so long! Sounds like we’ve both been having a crazy time of this absolutely mental summer.
Rules: Always post the rules, answer the questions given to you, write 10 questions of your own, tag 10 people.
1) If you could choose another way for human beings to relax and re-charge besides sleeping, what would it be?
Drinking tea. Or something like that. I would then have infinite wakefullness.
2) If you could invent a new body part, what would it be and why?
I mean, not to sound weird, but I’m pretty sure humans having tails would be hella useful. I won’t admit how many times I’ve literally fallen on my face trying to pick something up. T-Rex’s knew what was up. Also, it could probably be used to grab things: like feet, but more efficient.
3) Have you ever written a story based on a dream?
Actually, most of my stories have started from dreams. Ghost and Spectre, the Archangels series started from one dream, Fallen Oak. . . and even my unnamed WIPS at the moment. The only exception would probably be my ridiculous sci-fi story that came from a picture prompt, as opposed to a dream.
4) Which character, either yours or someone else’s would make the worse roommate?
I mean, not to cheat and go straight for the literal devil, but @thecaffeinebookwarrior‘s Lou would be a nightmare.
Of my characters? Probably Spectre would be the BEST roommate (he cleans when anxious. . . and he’s frequently anxious, poor baby). The worst would be Merle. He’s totally going through his angsty teenage phase, but add some volatile magic and he’d literally just destroy everything because he was so bored.
5) What was the first book you fell in love with?
The Magician’s Nephew. I know that’s come up in these questions before, but it’s THE book for me as a kid.
In the post-university re-awakening that it looks like most readers go through, it would be The Hero and the Crown. That was the book that reminded me stories about dragons could not only be entirely appropriate for a twenty-something year old to be reading, but pretty damn epic too.
6) How did you come up with the idea for your current WIP(s)?
^see question 3. I was at a conference singing with my mum and my sister, and I had a weird dream that involved running on the beach from shadow creatures looking for a Basket. I spent the entire four hour car ride home writing on my phone and by the end of the day I have 20 pages of key sequences.
7) What cancelled TV show or book series would you like to bring back?
I would definitely pay through the nose to get McKinley to keep writing Damar books, but I respect that she only writes the stories she’s given by the mystical story council and there’s nothing to be done there.
A year ago, I would have said Firefly for sure. But I’ve mixed feelings on that at the moment. I think in general I’m a pretty content person with endings. I don’t like stories to go on and on and on, because at some point the story becomes forced or the characters have changed (the Maximum Ride series for example went on MUCH longer than it really should have imo).
8) Which fantasy world would you want to live in forever?
Wait, like I have to be an immortal in this world, or I live in this world until I die? Which kind of forever. Because in the former case, I’d need to make sure that there was a way to ensure people I cared about could ALSO live forever, and that would get complicated and probably start treading into some Faustian pacts.
My gut reaction will always be Middle Earth, so that’s probably the choice I’ll have to stick with. But there are too many wonderful worlds to choose from, really.
9) If you could design your own planet, with no limitations of our current reality, what would it be like?
Funny you should mention that, because that’s BASICALLY what I’m doing for my Sci-Fi WIP. At the moment world building for that has involved an infamous breed of plasma-shooting ice dragons, and some mysterious subterranean entities that MAY or MAY NOT be space faeries ;) But that gets into a some vague spoilers, so I guess we’ll just have to see what kind of planet I build as I figure out how i’m building it.
10) What WIP have you worked on the longest?
Technically, I’m still working on Ghost and Spectre as it’s only in its first draft. That’s been a little over a year, and that’s more stick-to-it-tivness than I’ve ever had before. But I also wrote the three Arch Angels novellas over the span of about five years, so that could technically be considered longer.
I think MOST of the people have already done this or were literally tagged in this along with me. So I won’t be tagging anyone for this one :)
