this is the Gaza Family Funds Directory, a spreadsheet of palestinian families' gofundmes, sorted by the amount of support they've received thus far. please choose as many as you can from this list to donate to, even just a dollar.
in addition, the sheet also contains a link to a gdrive folder with designs for flyers/stickers that you can print out and place in your community. if you truly can't spare anything directly now, please consider doing this so you can get these links in front of people who can donate!
it also remains urgent to keep the people of palestine connected in the face of communication blackouts; please contribute esims! it is very easy to do and is fully explained on this page: https://gazaesims.com/
if you cannot afford the price of an esim individually, there's a campaign currently running on twitter to which you can contribute whatever you can afford ($1, $3, whatever) to a larger pool which will then be used to buy esims collectively. there's also the crips for esims for gaza fundraiser, which operates similarly. there are probably more than this! i chose these two for this post bc they are currently active + both have easily vettable proof of donation (screencaps in the qrts of the twitter campaign, financial accountability document in the crips for esims campaign.)
finally, look into local grassroots organizations in your area so you can stay in the loop on protest activity. many such orgs have accounts on instagram. if you are in the us, looking for local chapters of the PSL, the palestinian youth movement, or national students for justice in palestine can be a good start.
please, please, please: pick something here and do it. i know it can feel overwhelming and there may be an urge to tell yourself that you'll reblog this now and get around to it later. instead please choose one thing. even if it's just finding orgs in your area and following them so you'll be notified the next time there's a protest. even if it's just downloading the flyer designs and looking up a print shop where you can run off a stack of copies. make a decision to do something tangible right now, even if it's just a first step.

A one-and-done line of Worm Worldbuilding which I think about a lot is in Lisa's interlude, where she receives mover support from a jetpack user she describes as, quote, "one of the Silicon Valley Capes." Worlds unspoken there, right? That the Wormverse Silicon Valley has a distinct enough and well-known enough cape subculture that Lisa can visually identify him as one of them immediately. He's using a jetpack- a tinker? Or another kind of cape with Gallant-style tinker backing, because the expectation of advanced technology is the price of admission in that area? Mention is made of at least two rival corporate teams being in attendance, and this is the section of the book where they're still talking about things like the "tinker-driven tech boom." Do you see my vision? The expanse of twee-named 2010s tech startups fielding superpowered mascot-janissaries? The apps-as-services which are bogus, unsustainable ventures puffed up by flashy tinkertech demos that haven't a prayer of scaling? Sillicon Valley or The Social Network, as prosecuted with mechs and laser weaponry? The most insufferable corporate social media presences that you ever did see?

This is what I did during my spare time... I'm fine.
Side Notes: I didn't add any of the actual players for simplicity's sake, but I did add characters played by the CCs that aren't their main characters such as Arin, ElQuackity, and Sapo Peta.
It will be too complicated to add ex-alliances and spy-related stuff... but if I did! Jaiden will be between the "knows the federation" and "sides with the players" and Etoiles will be between "understands the codes" and "sides with the players" just because there are no real secrets about it if you watch their POVs.

It sucks that the doctor managing my hormones asks me every time we have an appointment ‘how are you doing with the current political climate’ because each time I see her, the provincial government has made another statement/law restricting our rights. I hate I can’t be on campus, literally the only ‘safe space’ available to me, without hearing threats that make trans people out to be predators. And that the student body has voted in elections multiple times, to not levy our GSA, allowing it to receive benefits, while other clubs are able to receive this just fine (while being more expensive to maintain). It’s frustrating to deal with!

I think queer headcanons for the characters of the ccs are fine when it is clear you are not talking about the actual irl person. Maybe not on Twitter but here. Tumblr doesn't have many of the ccs here and people usually try to be respectful about it and it's good to see someone like you in your favorite character.
I do understand your reasoning tho, this isn't an argument or anything. Just wanted to add my two cents.
Love your art btw <3
i appreciate the input! and thanks for the compliment :D
the way i see it, the personas that the ccs put on in the life series and hermitcraft etc are not consistently separate enough from the irl ccs in order to warrant treating them as fictional characters. of course this is case-specific— ren probably considers some of the characters he’s played as more separate from himself, compared to someone like etho who doesnt stray much from his true personality. and to me, its just not practical to take it on a case by case basis— we’re not going to ask every cc a list of questions about their content just to know if its ok to ship them and whatnot, so i tend to take a very “better safe than sorry” attitude and just not engage with that fictional treatment at all
i’ve seen this described as a twitter opinion before and while i do think that probably has foundations in reality, i think separating between platforms like that isn’t helpful. i barely use twitter and haven’t for probably a year or so (aside from my private account) so i engage way more with the tumblr fandom than the twitter one, and further, i see a lot of people on twitter who do treat them as separate characters. idk that statement just irks me
and i’m glad that people are generally trying to be respectful— that’s good! and i understand that i, a random guy, cannot enforce my own views onto other people. but i do think this is a good conversation to have that too often i see people brushing off in favor of their own fan desires
if you want to see people like yourself in the minecraft content you watch (as many do, including myself) you should find other queer creators to watch, and/or find qualities about the hermits (and co) that you can relate to

Most recent "not to sound like a feminist scold but" was my speech on how the majority of relationships are heterosexual and therefore have an inherent power imbalance because men hold structural power over women in a patriarchal society.
