Dec. 20th

My friend stayed over today so I’d have company while my mom spent all day gift-shopping. Plus, she insisted I set up even more decorations while I’m home and I could use a little help since the place is so big.

We needed more tinsel at the top of the walls outside, but neither of us could reach up there. I went to go grab our stepladder… and when I came back, he was trying to fly to set up the tinsel!

I’ll never say it to his face, but he’s really not a good flier XP but the cold was probably messing with him to be fair. He ended up falling over onto a small snowman I had made, completely ruining it… surprisingly, he didn’t even bother making a smarty remark or even an apology over it, he was too cold.

We went inside so he could warm up. He wrapped himself in what looked like ten whole blankets while I made hot cocoa for him. After I gave it to him I went back out to put up the tinsel.

After I finished, he came outside… I was going to tell him I was done with the tinsel, but before I could get a word out he interrupted and insisted we remake the snowman he accidentally destroyed.

It sounded way more fun than checking the electrical outlets to make sure none of them broke from our lights, sooo… XD

I’m really happy he wanted to fix it.

it had just been after the queen ran off .

while kris and ralsei rushed ahead to continue their fight with the queen and save noelle , susie needed to check on something first .

as much as she loathed him at ( most of the ) times , berdly had shown some aspect of changing himself from being an annoying smartass to being ... slightly less annoying . and now , he was lying on the ground with an arm that looked like it just went through the fires of hell and back . annoying or not , he didn’t deserve this . nor to be left behind , at least without some reassurance .

and so she sat , looking over his wing , making sure it was in a somewhat comfortable position , ignoring the weird kiss thing ... and then he speaks again .

“ dude . your arm looks like it just got put in a furnance . i wanna at least make sure you’re not dead . now stay still , probably sting a bit . “

she pulls the roasted arm up , and settles it on his chest as gently as she could .

“ alright , stay put . we’ll be back ... probably . “

and she goes to join the battle once more .

Kris looked at the offered cup of hot liquid, they were surprised that Berdly was offering a drink to them after the pranks they tended to pull on him. Hot cocoa tasted nice, but no drink in the world could compare to juice. Kris was a juice lover through and through, the bin at home was full to the brim with many juiceboxes. Apple juice was their favorite cause apples tasted nice. Still, it was nice to drink something else sometimes. Plus, you never say no to free food.

"Thanks..."

They took the cup, not saying anymore. They weren't even sure Berdly was listening to them. The bird was saying something yet Kris wasn't paying attention. They preferred silence over constant talking. The pair were in the cafe, but not in the spot. That spot was special! Kris would never sit there with anyone but Asriel, maybe Susie but no one else. That was how important it was to them so they chose another table. They had grown to like Berdly a little yet, not that much. The spot wasn't suitable for where things were between them.

The main reason Kris was hanging with Berdly was out of guilt. If they could they would fix his arm, go back in time to before that fight. Yet, they couldn't anymore no matter how they tried to. The arm was also proof that the Dark World existed, meaning Berdly could end up in danger again if he figured it out. The Dark Worlds were Kris and Susie's thing. They didn't need to drag anyone else into it. So, Kris wanted to keep an eye on Berdly. Ensure he was safe.
