Am I the only one worried that having a fat Robotnik, while certainly more accurate to the games and something Jim Carrey wanted to do, is going to lead to a bunch of uncomfortable fat jokes in the movie? I hope the writers know better than to resort to that, but...

Yeah...not gonna lie, that part made me worry.

Robotnik becoming depressed and gaining weight makes perfect chance (how else can you really justify the change?), and I'm sure characters will aknowledge it, I just hope it doesn't become a running joke or anything like that.

Because for a character who's literally named after his shape, Eggman is rarely subject to fat jokes. We'll see, I'm sure it'll be well handled.

hey would you mind tagging the Goncharov posts with unreality? the ones that are acknowledging the bit and mentioning it being fake are fine but the ones playing into it can trigger some people’s psychosis— I’d really appreciate it!!

i have medically diagnosed psychosis myself, and while i genuinely understand, support, and appreciate the thought behind the use of the tag, i personally feel incredibly patronized and insulted by it's use, as well as thinking it entirely counterproductive to the way my own paranoia and that of some others works (ie. i can easily detect simple jokes and lies like most anyone, especially online, but a mass of people making a very very clear point to deliberately define these things as untrue? that's suspicious. perhaps they're the liars, and for a nefarious purpose (this is obviously not true but there is often no real logic to these sort of feelings))

it's certainly a person by person case, and while im very pleased it as a tag works for other people with psychosis, because reassurances like that can sometimes feel few and far between for us, i am not that kind of person, and this is my blog; i will not tag anything as "unreality." i will tag them as "Goncharov," both going forward and editing past reblogs, which i imagine should be a good compromise. if it's not sufficient, you should just unfollow/block me- no hard feelings, just for your own safety and comfort

i want to be clear this is not a deep critique of the tag or call to cancel it or something stupid like that, if it works for you you should use it, and people tagging with it as a curtesy have their hearts in the right place and i appreciate that immensely

it's just an explanation as to why i, as someone with a history of and ongoing life with psychosis, am personally not a fan of it

Ah fuck I didn't realise I was on my last sheet of antidepressants so I didn't put in a prescription request and am only just doing it now when I just took my last one, I'm gonna be without em for a couple of days. I've done this loads of times over the years but I've been so good with it recently, god dammit
