it's such a mindfuck to think that like........ HUGE components of this story only exist inside my head. i know what's happening, and some of it has been externalized via prose, and some of it has been externalized via rambling, but it is the tip of the iceberg - and that's not even counting the extra worldbuilding and tiny little plot points that might never make it onto the page. they are literally only inside my head, and as intuitive as they feel to me, they are unknowable to anyone who isn't in my head. for now.
