Pairing: Jack Daniels (Agent Whiskey) x  (f) ace!reader
Wordcount: 2.2k
Warnings: discussions of sex and related topics, maybe some angst? a lot more analogies than actual descriptions
Summary: a drive in theatre, a budding relationship, and a whole lot of mutual support
Notes: okay obviously this is a wildly personal topic - I fully understand that asexuality looks different for everyone. For full disclosure, in this story, the reader knows they are somewhere on the asexuality spectrum, but is not aromantic. They are also are on a path of self discovery and are open to learning about themselves. This IS NOT saying asexuals who are like this are growing "better" than those who are not interested. Asexuals who do know what they do and dont want are perfect and do not need to change or compromise as part of their personal growth.
There will be an optional part 2 where they have more conversations about intimacy and explore together what works for them, but again, this is not everyone's story, or the "right" way, it's just... one story.
That being said, I genuinely hope yall enjoy!
>>
You stared at the bashful man in front of you openly, your hands stilling on the groceries you were halfway done unloading.
Even the slightest rustle of the cloth bags was painfully loud in the silence that stretched between you.
Jack had burst through your door, confident as always, but it was a thin layer over his anxious heart. With two long strides, he was pulling you into his arms, almost crushing you against his chest.
Arms winding around his middle, you held him just as tightly before you found your voice again.
“You’re back,” you said, simply amazed that he was a whole week early from the long mission. “When did you get back?”
You hadn’t realized he had picked you up until your feet were on solid ground again, and he was pulling away.
“Just a few hours ago, I had to make it back in time for opening night, right?” he grinned winningly.
You tried not to overthink, feeling a jolt of excitement that he remembered – tonight. The drive-in theatre in town was opening for the season and you had been more than excited. As one of your most consistent movie night friends, Jack had promised to take you, full of butterflies and subtext.
For as close as you’d gotten over the past few months, you weren’t sure what to make of his expression.
“If that’s okay? I should’ve double checked,” you hadn’t responded and it was apparently making him nervous.
“Yeah, Jack, that sounds great,” you reassured him, turning back to your groceries, equally nervous.
If you were being honest, you hadn’t expected him to remember because it had almost felt like an off-hand comment at the time, and you hadn’t wanted to get your hope up to much.
Something was welling in your stomach as you turned away from him fully, putting each item in its respective home in your kitchen. You liked him, of course you liked him. He was bold and kind and passionate, and more handsome than seemed reasonable for a single person. And… and when he was nearby, there was a feeling of safety, just out of reach, like water lapping at your feet at the beach.
It was more than tempting but, same as the ocean, there was also an uneasiness in the unknown. The same uneasiness was present in every relationship you’d ever had – because you had a secret.
Well, it was less of a secret and more… something you were figuring out that you hadn’t talked about much. Despite long late night talks and months of growing close and even slowly falling for each other, you hadn’t quite found the courage to talk to Jack about it yet. The more real the soft, sweet moments between you got, the more the unease filled your bones. You knew how he was with other women, and each time his hand lingered on your hip, your shoulder, your cheek, a quiet voice whispered that he deserved better.
Jack was staring at you, lost in your thoughts as you mechanically worked your way through the bags. His heart ached for you, and he wished more than anything that you trusted him with whatever you were holding back. But he was a determined man – he would do whatever he could to show you that no matter what, he wasn’t going anywhere.
 -
After awhile, Jack coaxed you back to your normal self, telling you as much of his mission as he could and helping you cook dinner. Moving around your kitchen was wonderfully peaceful, a little bubble of intimacy. Food was great for neutralizing anxious thoughts.
The feeling continued into his truck as you excitedly packed blankets and he fought the urge to kiss your adorable face when you found the snacks he’d picked up. Even before he left, in anticipation for tonight, he cleaned the front seat thoroughly, and made sure his radio was in good condition.
The movie went well too, but as much as he wanted to pull you into his arms, press you into his side, be the warmth against the cool night air, there was a hesitation that held him at bay.
Every time he’d reach for you, cautious and gentle, your skin would twitch, almost jumping away before you’d smile at him and lean into it. You seemed happy, but part of your mind was holding you back. As friends, you two were relatively physically affectionate, so he made a mental note to tread light and watch for more cues. Jack never wanted to impose himself on anyone but with you, even less.
So he waited. He had no doubt you’d talk to him when you were ready, and heavens knows that he had plenty of things he had kept buried. It was still nice, hearing you laugh next to him - just him – and seeing the light reflecting off the movie dance across your skin. Talking with you was always easy, even more so without friends or family around and it made Jack ache with eagerness.
As he pulled up to your home, he gently took your hand.
“Darlin, it was plum delightful to take you out tonight,” he said, cursing himself internally for how nervous he sounded. You looked his, eyes catching the streetlight like magic and your gentle squeeze gave him courage.
“I really would like to take you out again, on a proper date,” he couldn’t look away from your eyes, trying to read them through the murkiness. “I really like you,” Jack added, quieter, “but you don’t have to respond right now.”
You nodded, your eyes closing tight as though you were at war with yourself.
You think you like me, but I’m not the type of girl you want to date.
“You don’t have to… tell me, if you’re not ready, but,” he offered after a long moment, his free hand flexing on the steering wheel as he forced himself to examine the bushes on the side of the parking lot. “But I’m listening.”
You felt both hot and cold at the same time. All evening you could feel it coming, knew it was going to happen, knew it had to. He deserved this conversation, and honestly, if there was anyone who made you feel like you did, too, it was Jack.
Inhale, exhale.
Inhale -
“Okay,” - exhale.
Remembering that neither of you had work the next day helped. Slowly you let go of your hand and unbuckled your seatbelt, shifting to get comfortable again, the actions thick with significance. He returned it, unbuckling too, and killing the engine.
Jack was so respectful you could cry, his obvious anxiety under control enough not to jump to conclusions – to wait for you.
“I like you, too, Jack, but I don’t think we can ever date,” you forced the words out and his heart nearly shattered, confusion barely holding it together.
Eyebrows so drawn in they almost looked like a solid line, he waited, unable to stop a small shake of his head.
Why not? His entire being screamed. With each second that passed, more and more determination seeped into the cracks of his heart, sticking it together. If you liked him as he liked you, it seemed impossible there was anything between you that couldn’t be overcome.
You saw the question in his eyes and the explanation tumbled out.
“It’s just, I know you – I know the girls you go after and the type of relationships most men want. And,” you were sucking in air, the vulnerability raking through your lungs. “And I dont know if I can ever give you that.”
He started to protest before his hand covered his mouth, irritated movements over his mustache, his jaw working. What he wanted was you. But he needed to let you keep talking. If he interrupted you now, he might never understand what you meant.
You watched his movements, desperation to give him the explanation he deserved growing in you.
“I’ve had people break up with me because I wont sleep with them,” you shoved the words into the space, the most honest you’d maybe ever been.
Whatever he had been expecting, it wasn’t that. Your voice was trembling and so quiet only your moving lips confirmed the words as you continued.
“For me, it’s not something I need, or am particularly comfortable with. You,” you swallowed hard, unable to look at the man beside you. “You deserve someone you can be with, however you want.”
You took another deep breath, feeling light and surprisingly at peace with your honesty. Even the impending rejection felt less scary, now that you had said it all out loud. The trembles settled as you concluded, “I’m still figuring myself out and I just cant guarantee I’ll ever give you what you deserve.”
Of all the conversations with all the others before this, this moment felt the most freeing. It was wild to have such an intimate conversation before you even kissed, but… the foundation of trust that Jack had given you had not been lost on you. You found yourself smiling, looking at him, finally.
His expression had loosened, processing and connecting the dots, his deep eyes unfocused before they slid closed.
Now it was your turn to wait, to be patient, and listen.
Part of him wanted to yell that he wasn’t like the others, that he didn’t care and even that he would wait and work until you were ready. But that wasn’t right, and he knew it.
Inside him, deep, deep down, there was a small light. A candle of flame underneath a glacier: a touch of hope slowly warming its way through layers and layers and centuries of expectations, fear, confusion, and chaos. It was going strong, it just need more time.
“Darlin,” he looked at you, finally, meeting your eyes and feeling for the first time that they were a clear window into your soul. “You are… everything, to me. So… so let’s just take some time to process this. Would that be okay, sweetheart?”
That was the first time anyone had ever responded that way. It was the scariest thing, but it was perfect. You were overwhelmed with the rawness and a glance at the radio told you it was 2 am. Not a time to be making life altering decisions, anyway. Nodding, you pressed a chaste kiss to his cheek. The movement was intimate and confident – something that shouldn’t have been possible, but it was.
Jack’s large hand grasped at your neck and jaw, pulling you into him, pressing his forehead on yours. The hairs of his mustache just ticked your lip, but he made no move, respecting one final boundary for the night.
With a squeeze, he let you go, watching with longing eyes as you hopped out of his truck and ran to your front door. The smile you gave him before you slipped inside was the seal, engraving tonight into his memories forever.
And he drove home, his thoughts louder than the wind and the crickets and his pounding heart.
-
Jack invited you over a few days later, a Sunday afternoon. It would be the first time you’d talked, and you were surprisingly calm. For some reason, you felt like you’d be closer to him no matter what happened.
He heard your car on the long gravel driveway and greeted you with an all-encompassing hug. You held each other, like lifelines, for long moments before he pulled you inside.
“My mama sent cookies,” he said, motioning for you to sit at the tall table he had as he set down the plate. You couldn’t help but smile, knowing their Sunday lunches and her beloved baking well. He remained standing across from you, aware of the awkwardness, but eager to get his words right.
“This is all new to me,” he said, wishing suddenly that he’d made tea so his throat wouldn’t feel so dry. “If you really don’t wanna be with me, that’s your choice,” he said, knowing it was right and hating the option, “but I really – you’re just so – I can’t let you go,” his thoughts were jumbling together on his tongue.
It was grounding, when your hands found his, reaching across the table as you sat forward on your stool.
“What if we just took it slow?” you said, and his heart stopped.
“Please,” he managed, and your own chest felt like it would burst. “Would it be alright, darlin?” Jack’s hands held yours, his expression eager.
“Could – could we figure out what works for us? Figure this all out together?” You were close to crying, you wanted that so bad.
“I can’t promise I’ll change or… or what direction I’ll grow,” you said, needing to say it again, needing to be sure.
“I can’t, either, darlin,” he said, and you realized he was right and you would support each other, no matter what.
“But all I need is you. Whatever and however much you’ll give me. That’s more than enough.”
He didn’t say for now.
And you believed him.
Since he was still standing, it made it easy for you to tug him around the table, and you leaned into his chest. It felt safe, safer than you had ever thought was possible for you.
“Okay,” you told the flannel he was wearing, “Let’s figure it out together.” And even though you couldn’t see him, you knew he was smiling, too.

Brace yourselves, this is likely to be uncomfortable. But we need to talk ab this.
So...,, point blank, light skinned women unapologetically hijacked & defaced the Natural Hair Community as well as representation of monoracially Brown & Dark Skinned Black Women on journeys to grow their hair out, idc idc. This isn't even just ab fair skinned Black or Half Black Women; this goes for nbwoc & white women who latched onto this movement that absolutely was not for y'all too, & honestly, y'all failed actual Black Women by doing this (& yes, ‘actual’ meaning monoracial, fully Black, Black af, Black Women).
Y'all fed on & invaded a safe space & unique outlet for the specific kind of woman there are few avenues for in the first place worldwide. Spaces no one else ever gave a real fuck to consider creating or investing in, uplifting or embracing ab kinky, coily & textured hair — esp if Black Women had anything to do w it. It's loads of y'all in the tags, w yt channels, twitter & ig accounts dedicated to Natural Hair honestly for your own colorist gain; bcus you have no oppressive incentive to be there fr otherwise, & bcus, I agree, colorism walks — so that texturism & featurism can run.
Some of y'all honestly out there comfortably pushing & playing into these racist marketing agendas & algorithms to wash Monoracial Blackness playing these performative roles in the fetishization of light skin & loose curls at the expense of dark skin & tight coils. Y'all overrode the movement like y'all have suffered any level of oppression Dark Skinned Black Women have for having Texture 4 hair & therefore sought to voice & debunk w diligent self care; women w dark skin & 4c hair more specifically. Even if you're fair skinned/half Black w texture 4 hair, at it's core the Natural Hair Movement was for Dark & Brown Skinned Black Women — who corporations have always prioritized your ambiguously Black representation over. & then at the same time y'all are the same women who will readily uphold & niche yourselves as the faces of feminine Blackness, textured hair journeys & the social media ambassadors of disconfirming ‘taboos’ about Black hair. (Then in y'all own real private spaces be openly resentful of being Black at all. Like,,,, make it make sense pls — cus that shit, is offensive af. Y'all even do it here on tumblr, babes lbfrfr).
Like its so unbelievable how so many rushed to invade, vulture off of & pillage from a movement that was supposed to serve women that already have the bare minimum where fair, unbiased & understood representation is concerned — even among other women. Literally among the rest in the entire world, no woman gets overlooked & culturally abused like Black Women do. Physically, emotionally, psychologically, economically, socially, etc. And y'all put the natural hair community thru unnecessary tension, stress, divisiveness over curl patterns & personal regimens — as if y'all had any right or reason to decide you could rebrand, renovate & “define” the movement w the same colorism y'all toxify virtually all social media platforms w.
[Tldr...], Which finally brings me to my point:
I whole entirely refuse to stop or diminish my defense of Monoracial Black Women & exposing colorism as it's perpetuated thru light skinned women in particular — bcus most of y'all this applies to dont even seem totally comfortable doing the same lest you feel attacked or “synonymously oppressed” for being biracial, or need to have some sort of rewardable incentive. Hm. Ok, even tho being biracial gives you a direct advantage over Mono Black Women y'all cannot at all say you're not aware of; yall not fooling nobody & anybody who can't see it at this point is in some comfortable denial or is blind by choice. Like this shit must be addressed it's time to have real conversations ab this bcus y'all be getting away w playing a pretty obvious role in nbwoc copying white women copying lite skinned women copying Monoracial Black Women.
Non Blacks do not interact. Violate, you get blocked; easy.

ok sorry but how many people do yall think rog has ever slept with cos i’m guessing four figures no lie
okay, i don’t normally respond to messages like this because, frankly, i dont really feel like its my place to speculate on roger’s sex life. Theres a difference between writing a fiction story with a character named after and inspired by him and discussing his actual personal life which i have no real knowledge about. What he gets up to in his free time is between him and the women he does it with. but i didn’t really feel able to ignore this one. please don’t take this as me telling you off or shutting you down or anything like that. If you want to speculate about roger’s body count thats up to you, go nuts with it. and i love when you guys message me and I don’t want to discourage you from feeling like you can talk to me or just send me your random thoughts or whatever about any subject. But I feel like I need to address why I disagree with this sentiment. Also so I can ask ya’ll to please stop asking me questions like this.
So firstly, just to get this out of the way. 1000 is a lot. even 100 is a lot. I think if rog had slept with 1000+ people he’d have a least a few illegitimate kids and probably would have been checked into rehab for sex addiction (not to mention STIs and such because lbr people in the 70s specifically probs werent the most careful especially if drugs were involved). I mean even if we were going to say Rog got lucky with a different woman after every show we wouldn’t reach 1000. According to google, Queen played around 700 shows in their entire career. If we add shows played by The Cross thats only another 67 odd shows (according to wikipedia).
now, i think there are 3 things that contribute to this idea of roger as especially promiscuous. 1. His attitude/demeanour/general way he sells himself. 2. the generally held conceptions about rock stars and rock star behaviour. and 3. what i’m going to call fandom dumbassery (but i mean that with a lot of love)
So lets start with the man himself. Roger Taylor is loud and opinionated and not particularly humble. He knows he’s talented and attractive though for at least some time he was a little self-conscious about how feminine he looked. He’s always up for a laugh, likes to party and has admitted to enjoying his drink and his women. He’s had kids with two different women, who’s relationships “overlapped”, and is currently married to a third. At least that’s the perception we can gleam from his interviews, behind the scenes videos, and other public appearances.
It’s easy to see how that image leads to accusations of being a womaniser and a cheater and basically a bit of a slut lmao. But here’s the thing. I think Roger, in part, markets himself that way. The thing is, if you look at his solo songs and the relationships he currently has with his kids and their mothers, and things other people have said about him/his relationships over the years, I think it’s fair to say he also has a bit of a romantic streak maybe? idk if thats the best way of describing it...he’s self confessed to not being a fan of marriage and the like but he’s not opposed to writing and singing love songs and seems to believe in ~love~ as a concept/power. He certainly cares deeply for those closest to him. Whether or not that translates to an agreement with monogamy I can’t say for certain. It’s hard to draw conclusions here because a lot of what we know of his personal life was fed to us through magazines and news paper gossip column articles and they were never looking for the truth, they were looking for scandal and sensationalism.
For instance the whole thing with the overlapping relationships. I think most people who have read anything about roger and dom and debbie realise that it’s not as cut and dry as “he was cheating with debbie and left dom for her” even though that was the story being sold by the press at the time. The reality (or at least the version closer to reality since obviously no one outside of them and whoever they were closest with knows all the nitty gritty details) is that rog and dom had already split when they got married. it was a marriage of convenience to make sure her and the kids would be looked after financially etc even after he’d moved out. So while it looked to the public like he married one chick and 30 odd days later was spotted with another, there really wasn’t anything untoward happening.  I’m not saying he never had casual hookups or one night stands and i’m not saying he never cheated, but I do think some of it’s been exaggerated, whether by him to encourage the rock star perception or by newspaper/magazine articles.
Now, obviously, we have stories of rog, particularly in the late 60s and into the 70s, being with multiple women. There’s that bit in the Interview with a Queen “Groupie” (which is a fantastic read and i defs recommend checking it out if you havent already) where she talks about roger being a chick magnet and says that, at the time, it was pretty common to sleep about. But, she also says she didnt notice him doing it more or less than anyone else and seemed to mostly be with Jo (his girlfriend at the time). This is the same Jo that got a mention in the Queen in 3D book (”i think we all had the feeling that these two were together for life, but it was not to be”). Conversely, we have that quote (which i cannot find rn but i’ll link it when i do) about roger sometimes having one girl upstairs while another waited in the garage for them to be finished. I think it was about Rog in the mid-late 60s in Truro but whatever. Obviously he wasn’t anywhere near celibate and it’s likely was sleeping with people outside of his relationship(s). But one has to assume that as he got older those kinds of antics stopped happening, at least as frequently.
There is one potential story that I remember reading somewhere along the way about Roger cheating on Debbie while she was pregnant. But, take that with a grain of salt because I can’t find the article again and also I think it was from like The Sun or something equally as rubbish. The press was notoriously always printing mean shit about the boys and that might have been another thing they published to create scandal. Even so, if we assume it’s legit that is still only 1 story. Not to throw him under the bus but Brian is the one with multiple confirmed affairs, who literally wrote songs about it all. So why is Roger the one with sleazy reputation?
This is where my second and third points come in. There is a pervasive idea about what it means to be a rock star. The whole trashing hotel rooms, sleeping with groupies, passing out drunk every night thing. And I’m sure that Queen was like that to an extent. I think it’s pretty common knowledge that all of them got up to shit on the road. Between innuendo laden interviews and songs, videos and accounts of their parties, stories CT has put online, and other stories like the one of Roger bringing out lines of coke as dessert when he was having dinner with motley crue. They definitely embraced the rock and roll lifestyle. And I think with Roger’s personality being what it is, it’s easy to link him to those traditional rock star tropes and say it was all true all the time. I also think Roger has done nothing to counter those beliefs. He’s been open about how he wanted to be a rock star since the minute he picked up a guitar, he’s labelled himself as a great lay in magazines, he’s joked about girls pulling their tits out over dinner in interviews (though he said he didnt take her home), he’s written songs like One Night Stand and Dirty Mind and Airheads which explicitly mention his preference for women and alcohol. I think it’s fair to say he’s kind of encouraged that view of himself. Whether it was just a side effect of being part of such a well known band and having such a boisterous demeanour/personality, or whether it was intentional as a version of promotion i don’t know. maybe a mix of them? I mean I’m sure it didn’t hurt sales and stuff. it’s the whole guys want to be him, girls want to be with him thing, right? Maybe that’s just me being cynical though lmao.
Anyway, the fandom brain has taken all of that and compressed it into memes and jokes about rog being the band slut. Which i’m not complaining about, lord knows i’ve made the same jokes and reblogged the same posts and used those tropes in my fics. They’re funny and lend themselves to interesting fic concepts. Plus, i think roger is the sort of person who would probably laugh about most of it. But it’s an idea that keeps feeding into itself through fandom, perpetuating what is probably a misguided view of his personal life.
Again, I am sure he’s had his fair share of fun and I’m not trying to make out that he was always perfect or whatever, but I don’t think he’s been with as many women as the popular discourse would imply and I certainly don’t think he’s in the 4 digit numbers.

so ive read fruits basket like twenty times, and over the last couple of years i noticed that, each time, i was drawn more and more to the characters of kimi and momiji, and identified with them in a way that was really confusing to me because i didnt really think i *actually* had a very similar personality to either of them? (discord friends may disagree but, well, this whole post is going to be about people and characters who change up their personality to be more likable.) i got all introspective about it and finally came to a conclusion about their characters that i subconsciously knew already: the key similarity between the two of them and myself is the way we very carefully layer subtle personality masks for ourselves to protect ourselves and to seem more approachable and likable without actually being vulnerable to other people. (other characters in furuba do this a lot too--key examples that come to mind are tohru, kagura, and yuki--but i care more about momiji and kimi so this is about them.)
to clarify a bit what i mean by this, ill start with a personal example. ive always been pretty good at remembering people’s names, especially if i think theyre cool and want to become friends with them, but i noticed around middle school or high school that people subconsciously find it intimidating/stalkerish if you know their name and they cant remember yours, especially if youve only met once. on the other hand, if they *do* remember your name, and you admit to not remembering theirs, they feel empowered and sympathetic to your situation; and if neither of you remember the other’s name, you have a moment of solidarity that can lead to a more relaxed relationship. so, i started pretending to have a manageable amount of trouble remembering the names of people i wanted to be friends with. the first two or three times that i meet someone, at some point i will use “clarifying their name” as a conversation starter, ie: “you’re....[], right?” or “is it []?” this is a small effect of a pattern of behavior i tend to follow: feigning incompetence to gain trust and camaraderie. is it manipulative? absolutely, but harmlessly so. its directly derived from my own social anxieties, but its a relatively healthy way to feel more connected with my peers and to stop feeling ostracized by people who resent me for being “smarter” than them--something i struggled with a lot in my youth. momiji and kimi dont put up the *same* masks as myself, but they are both rather adept at maintaining their own masks, and are both incredibly socially perceptive in the same way that i am: they analyze people’s reactions to their behavior and sculpt themselves to get the reaction they want.
lets take a look at what this means for kimi. surface level, kimi seems pretty cookie cutter--sure, shes a little chaotic, but she fits quite nicely into the femme fatale/dumb blonde trope (even though shes not blonde). but did you know that shes actually at the top of her class? its subtle, but to me its always been obvious that shes actually incredibly intelligent and constantly manipulating people to suit her needs. there are easy examples of this, of course: flirting with a teacher to get a new whiteboard, anyone? but there’s one scene that’s always spoken volumes to me about her character, and that’s the one-off joke where kakeru starts to say some “secret” about her, clearly joking, and she immediately shuts him down by cutting him off with “don’t say unnecessary things!” and elbowing him in the side, all while still smiling cheerfully. the subtlety of this is that, with her reaction, she’s actually imitating their audience: yuki. it’s yuki she doesn’t want to know about whatever kakeru knows, so she shuts down kakeru in a way we’ve seen yuki yell at kakeru whenever kakeru makes idiotic jokes. the physical attack, the angry smile, accusing kakeru of saying something annoying, but that doesnt really matter; none of these are particularly characteristic to kimi, she causes as much chaos as kakeru on a good day, but they’re incredibly recognizable to yuki. her reaction is familiar to yuki, and it invokes an assumption that kakeru is making a lame joke, not trying to reveal one of her deepest, darkest secrets, and it works because yuki would react completely differently if kakeru tried to tell someone about *his* secrets. yuki doesnt pursue the subject further, kakeru bounces back easily and doesnt give it a second thought, and kimi is safe. so, we can tentatively say that kimi has a habit of reflecting other’s expectations to hide her true self.
now, is this one scene enough on its own to prove this idea? of course not. however, when we view her actions as a whole we start to see a pattern. we see several instances where kakeru will say something stupid and kimi will listen, encourage it, or say something just as stupid back; it’s only when he tries to reveal something about *her* that she shuts him down. we see subtle signs of genuine anger when he tries to reveal her secret: the overly violent jab, the tensed vein/angry eyebrows, etc--not very characteristic for happy-go-lucky, flirtatious kimi. and, of course, we have several examples of how she manipulates a) men into buying things for her, granting her favors, leaving their girlfriends for her, etc; and b) women into feeling inferior to her, feeling aggravated with her, and thinking she’s incredibly troublesome but knowing that they can’t argue with the men about it. overall, its not a far stretch at all to think she’s manipulating everyone around her to avoid revealing information about her true self: a proud, intelligent woman who enjoys causing chaos, but is also very manipulative and controlling to the people around her and hates being vulnerable.
momiji is in some ways similar, and in other ways very very different. most people--especially characters in the story with him--tend to put momiji in this “sweet, innocent child” box. it’s not just his height--his fashion, mannerisms, outlook on life, etc are all very reminiscent of someone much younger than he is, and people tend to *treat* him like he’s much younger than he is. even if they know intellectually that yes, momiji is significantly older than he appears, it’s very easy for the older sohmas to treat him as a troublesome but still loved younger sibling--someone to be taken care of, not taken too seriously, someone lovable. i’ve seen several people point out that part of *why* momiji does this is because he subconsciously feels that hes not allowed to act like an older sibling (to momo), so he acts as a younger sibling in an effort to get a similar sort of familial bond without overstepping the boundaries that his family instilled in his mind, and i agree. i believe momiji has a habit of feigning youth to more easily bond with the people he loves. his childish actions and behavior make him easier to deal with, and also give him a little more leeway to do things that would normally frowned upon if he appeared older, ex: sleeping in a bed with tohru, wearing a girl’s uniform top to school, taking any chance he can get to be physically affectionate with people, indulging in sweets and candy, etc.
two things draw momiji’s true personality out of its shell: his growth spurt, forcing people to acknowledge his actual age, and the breaking of his curse. late game momiji, to me, has always seemed bitter, tired, and sarcastic, as opposed to the sweet, energetic, and sincere front he’d put on for most of the series, which is very interesting to me. of course, you’d normally *expect* someone who’s gone through as much as momiji to *be* bitter, tired, sarcastic, etc; however, when he puts his child-like mask on, it’s easy to pretend that he’s this loving, saintly child who bears no ill will towards anyone, who can be knocked to hell and back and still stand back up to smile again. and i do think it’s true that momiji has an incredible capacity for forgiveness and love, but there’s also no denying that he has a limit, and we can see that during his first conversation with akito after his curse breaks. this, i think, is the most raw, true representation of momiji in the whole story; momiji has lost his link with the family he made for himself in the zodiac, he’s been physically forced to grow out of his persona, he’s finally seeing that his primary abuser is really not so powerful after all, and he’s forced to finally confront the fact that, while his curse, the thing that caused most of the troubles in his life, is broken, the impacts it already had on his life won’t magically go away. momiji in this scene seems completely disconnected from akito, who is still caught up in the curse, still desperately trying to hold everything together; in his lowest moment, we can finally see momiji, not as an all-forgiving saint, but as someone who just wants to start over. he’s not happy that his curse ended; id even go as far to say that momiji, out of every zodiac, is the one who most wishes it was still around, for the bond that it gave him with the other zodiacs and as something he could pin the blame on for his family struggles. which is why it is so sad to me that his was among the first to break.
now, yall probably know by now that i am a momimi bitch, so lets talk about them together. most of the people i see shipping them--and i fully admit, this is how i started shipping them--simply just say “same energy,” make a few cute headcanons about how they’d use each other for clout, and call it a day. this is perfectly fine. however, here at Overthinking It Inc., we take it a few steps deeper. personally, i have a hard time getting invested in a ship unless i can see how the characters compliment each other, how they help each other grow, and how they could genuinely enjoy each other’s company enough to pursue a romantic relationship. it took a little bit of obsessive extrapolating, but ive finally figured out just *how well* momiji and kimi compliment each other.
momiji, at the end of furuba, is going through a metamorphosis. he’s been forced out of his childish persona and into the life of an adult rather quickly, and he takes the opportunity to try to become more true to himself. we can see, in the last few chapters, the beginnings of bounds of growth; however, i imagine that there is a significant “awkward” period in his growth. judging from what i know about his character, i believe he would, in his effort to be more honest and confident, overcompensate a bit; he would become overbearing, intense, perhaps even oversharing. he might have a tendency to try to figure out what’s “wrong” with his friends and family, might always be trying to “fix” everything. i could easily see him, in fact, develop a bit of a selfish attitude (albeit rooted in kindness--it is, after all, still momiji); in his journey to stop letting people walk all over them, i believe he might become prone to walking over people himself. he’d have no idea where the lines are, where someone’s limits are, because he never had the chance to test them out in his youth, and because the people in power in his life (his parents and akito) never respected anyone else’s limits. enter kimi: tough, walled off, and incredibly secretive, though she tries to hide it. momiji, with his social perceptiveness, would notice at some point how difficult it is for her to form genuine, emotional connections with others, and would feel the urge to help her, to draw her out of her shell, not realizing that she doesnt necessarily want to be understood, nor that she’s (now entering headcanon territory, be warned) *scared* of those kinds of relationships. she’d take it, for a while, but there would come a time when she’d snap. this would do wonders for helping momiji figure out where the boundaries are, and how to be more aware of other people’s wants and needs (and it is something that tohru, reserved little wallflower that she is, would never be able to do for him).
kimi, on the other hand, has not quite started developing her character at the end of the manga. i like to apply all sorts of believable anxieties onto her: maybe she regrets not having an easy connection with other girls, like she does with boys. maybe she refuses to believe in the familial structure (that momiji idolizes). maybe she’s so used to playing the part of the homewrecker that, when she finally realizes that she’s found something or someone she truly loves, she doesn’t know how to handle it, and always worries that somebody’s going to take it away for her. maybe she views connections with others, or vulnerability, as a weakness, something that could be used against her, and tries to do everything she can to wall people off and hide her true feelings. well, good news for her, momiji is the resident king of loving family structures. family is something he truly loves and understands, from how much he’s admired it from afar, and been grateful for the family he’s made for himself in hatori, tohru, and the other zodiac. he’s well primed to help her understand what a true family is like, that real love is a good thing, not a scary thing, and that it’s okay to be vulnerable sometimes. this big, sweethearted doofus who somehow managed to see how much she was struggling under the many layers of masks that she hides beneath? there’s no way kimi wouldnt fall for him. and she, this girl who challenges everything he believes in, teaches him valuable lessons about how far is too far, and is basically the most fun person he’s ever met? there’s no way momiji wouldn’t fall for her.
i believe the two of them would start things off as almost a play; theyd portray a satire of the ideal male and female celebrity couple rather easily; theyd lean into the standard boy and girl roles almost ridiculously so, drawing attention to the absurdity of the standard relationship and somehow flirting through it. kimi, as we know, likes to pretend to be this helpless, flirtatious, “i couldnt possibly do anything on my own, oh whatever shall i do O3O” caricature of the feminine “ideal” to draw men in; momiji, i feel, would respond to that with a dorky, happy-go-lucky, “i can help you with that, miss ; )” caricature of the masculine, “ideal” gentleman, just for fun. theyd put on a show, for each other, for their peers, and for themselves, but they would eventually run into some troubles (detailed above). things would be tense, but theyd keep up their personas--why would they *ever* admit to their flaws to the outside world, theyre perfect? their friends would notice, of course, but wouldnt be able to do much about it; in the end, the only people perceptive enough to read through the bullshit of one is the other. theyd come to an understanding--spoken or unspoken (with the subtleties of their relationship, its not unreasonable that they could change their entire perspective of their relationship with just actions, not direct words or conversation)--and shift back into their previous, flirtatious relationship, except its different this time. because now, they understand each other, they love each other, theyre practically reading the other’s mind, and theyre perfectly in tune. rather than putting on masks to hide from each other, they wear one together to hide from the world--but, they think, that’s probably enough.

Are you okay with the fact of people excusing Beths shooting of Rio ? What is going on here ? What am I missing? I was watching this show with my friend and we WERE ALL rooting for her until we saw that crap. Then my mind changed to I hope she gets caught , I hope she gets locked up. Then all these blogs with Beth Avitars OFCOURSE, claiming the idea that she HAD to do it ? While saying how can people blame Beth with out blaming Rio? She pulled the damn trigger. Ugh I hate that !
So firstly, I'm not the person who answers anon questions. I feel their are more "qualified " bloggers on here for that. Plus sis got thannngs to do, okurrrr ....With that said I so appreciate u trusting me with this question anon.
To simply put this : people live in their own heads when it comes to this show. You will find those who infactically see themselves in Beth, or in some of the other women on this show. They feel like they can relate to them on some levels. Then there are those who love Rio for his sexual presence , the way he plays Rio as MORE than just a "gang friend and ofcourse his chemistry with Beth( myself included)... I 👏🏽get it !
But what I dont like is the politics used on this platform. The categorization clause : The idea that you must be either for Beth, Rio, or Beth and the girls when it comes down to what happened in the S2 finale. It's like I must check what party line I'm on or who am I FOR or against. When for me its as simple as who's right and who's wrong in the situation. There can be grey lines but in this particular situation, Beth was DEAD AZZ WRONG.
Let me explain: I watched this show like EVERYONE else , got my friends in on the show too. LOVED the dynamic of the women, their interaction with each other and I genuinely liked Beth's character. You could tell she was the leader of the group. To me shes that type of friend that always has a solution to your problems........ I was rooting for Her ( check the history of my posts). I Was happy seeing the girls work with Rio getting their own. PLUS Beth's relationship with Rio.
Tumblr media
Now to Rio and Beth's relationship :
I never looked at their relationship as toxic per se given the context of the show and what these women were involved in. The women are wannabe criminals who willingly get involved with a gang member. Beth most of all( bc as I said shes the leader of her pack). RIO although he is assumed to be this dangerous criminal hes really soft on Beth. Speak to any GUY about this show and I promise you the first thing their gonna say is Rio should have killed Beth and the girls ( given their involvement in his business). They were liabilities..But some where through these episodes Rio fell in love : Yup I said it !!!!🥴
I believe when a man truly loves a woman he shows them through action. The things Rio did for Beth ( bc he mainly delt with Beth) you dont do that for someone you dont love. Im talking about despite these women helping him wash his cash. Theres a point in Season 1 where he TELLS Beth shes nothing but a charity case to him. Meaning he never needed them, he never needed HER.
Things Rio did out of his gang character :
1. BETH refusing to take care of her rotten egg; total liability to Rios business.
2. Beth snitching on Rio to the FEDS. Instead of Rio just shooting Dean , he had EVERY right to shoot / kill Beth too. But he never wants to hurt Beth so he settles with shooting her husband:" Now were good".
3. Finding out Boomer who was talking to the feds about Rio and his gang had something to do with Beth and the girls. He should of kill Beth and the girls. But instead he gave THEM the opportunity to take care of it.
4. Beth and the girls failing to take care of Boomer , which snowballed into an even bigger problem.
5. Rios money becoming compromise bc of Beth and the girls failing to listen or do anything right.
6. Beth going into the drug house for a DAMN dubby and Rio seeing how much it meant to her then going back to collect it.
7. GAVE Beth the keys to the kingdom. Now let me explain this..... people think he took it back. But after the bathroom break I believe in Rios head the sex solidified Beth( A woman he could see does not believe in one night stands and has only been with her husband sexually) was finally his ; "were partners now". Hence why he went ballistic in Boland Motors after he saw Beth going to Dean....Not to mention Beth realized the money and EVERYTHING was always in her possession. That was his woman yall. But ofcourse as women we always get hung up with the man actually SAYING it. Defining the relationship was unnecessary, given his actions.
8. The pill business. He gave Beth 50% (something he does with NOBODY else ; remember him saying he usually pays 30%) . Rio could have said no and killed her ( sorry guys but in EVERY scenario it was in Rios BEST interest to kill Beth).
8. Beth has passionate love making with Rio then kicks him out. TO go back to DEAN ,,okurr . So what does Rio do : send her pieces of the body hes been HOLDING for HER the entire time. Bc ofcourse it cant be that easy to first of all get out of a life of crime period. BUT he wasn't going to let go of Beth that easily. Beth gets the body back to do something as silly as burying the body in HER BACKYARD..How dumb!!
Rio has done nothing deliberately to compromise Beth's freedom . BUT he has forced Beth to be accountable of her actions.
So with all this information : Beth tries to send Rio away forever ! Knowing his fear of getting locked up that he disclosed to her during the shut down episode. Knowing he has a kid to take care of; as you can see now RHEA doesnt make enough cash to support Marcus, at least not like Rio can. Then tries to KILL the man ! In closing I dont CARE what floppy azz explanation people want to give about Beth shooting Rio. Her azz was W.R.O.N.G. she was messed up for that. That move changed my mind completely towards her . At this point she DESERVES Dean ugly lying azz. I hope they DO get caught and go to jail so she sees how it feels. l respected Beth but I lost respect after he snazzy azz smile when she said "Rio is gone"
Therefore anyone rally for Beth just because shes a woman and you stan Christina Hendricks. Let's get back to the context of the show and ask yourself: WHAT the hell HAS ShE ever done FOR RIO ? That wasn't to save her own behind. I'm gonna keep it 100% anon I didnt know who the hell Manny was or Christina was until this show. So this is not from a STAN prespective. This is from a real azz honest perspective. Hopefully this makes u understand how I feel.

the amount of lesbophobia in the biphobia tag was like 👀👀👀👀 shocking its from mostly whites and nbpoc no shocker
like replying and screenshotting shit that makes me stressed isnt making them love the dykes any better!!!! like wow gbt people really are out here blaming the whole sum of biphobia on lesbians, saying we dont experience comphet bc there sum how privilege in loving only women, seeing folks call lesbians nasty queers in the notes of shit, like nigga am i bugging or fucking what!!?! like 👀👀👀 im not shocked because if your a dyke of color online u been gettin rape/death threats from everyone undet the sun but like why do i feel like theres been such a shift into blaming/ignoring/erasing/harassing/condeming lesbians and lesbianism as a whole
and then theres white gbt folks and wlw that lothe me for being apart of the "community" once they find out im a lesbian im given like socially the cold shoulder
and non black lgbt folks dont like me either!!!! when i see how you treat everyone else better than us!!!!!!
like white lesbians have ignored the fact in a whole ass lesbian too and cant be lesbophobic to her!! lesbian/bi/pan folks still are mad antiblack and fully able to throw some misogynoir your way when you dont fit the narrative they created for u the same as all white wlw, black gbt men will still act like they own you and your shit and will ignore all of the black wlw dying bc nobody on this earth cops for us even when yall our damn brothers
like at every turn im faced with the reality that nobody likes black women!!! dont call me that tho like nobody likes me bc im a lesbian either!!! like im nigger and im dyke and im tired of having 0 support and actual community
lesbianism online might as well look like a women of the klan meetup
posts made in the name of wlw solidarity is ending up coming off as "were all fucking ugly unloveable dykes am i rite!!! loving women is so funny and gooberishh!! haha cant belive were all so horribly fucking stupid!!!"
any popluar "positivity" for wlwoc/lesbians of color is like nobody is darker than a paper bag and has "mixed" features aka white features bc im "mixed" but i look black and is never gender non conforming or fat and if they dare include and actual black person she must look like every hypersexualized image of darkskinned black women doesnt matter if everyone else is fully clothed!!!
and like id youre like most poor black lgbt folks you have atleast 3 of the following
•no access to safe/accesible lgbt healthcare bc you live in a poor neighborhood and are underpaid to even uber/bus/train there
• the worst living situation on earth, some of us are stuck at home in the closet with parental abuse in our 20's bc we dont have accumulated wealth like whites to get out, some of us are living in horded, packed cramed housed bc how else are we susposed to make rent, so many of us are homeless or like just a step above that!!
• severe isolation generational trauma and alienation has turned you into a traumatized bitter mess who fully distrusts all "authority"
•you cant keep your job or get hired for being black and lgbt so you know owe people/your bank money, cant buy enough food to eat, make rent so u have to live with your S.O or hella folks, you have a car but cant afford the gas or monthy payments, if your disabled like me you also are killing yourself at work bc we only have empathy for white cishet disabled folks
•you hate your family but are required to stay attached for reasons non black people might not have too
•you have an addiction to sex, drinking, smoking weed, nicotine, caffeine, or anything that makes life bareable
•mental illness so severe you really dont tell anyone bc you know how easy it would be to have it used against u
im just upset about how alone i am and how like again nobody is showing up for me other than black wlw and like the 4 non black lgbt folks who care

Bitter butthurt black women who hate interracial dating (especially from my kar-jenner queens) need to suck a fucking dick and get over it. I love the girls even though their pr team suckssssss and need to step it up to protect my girls lmao. But back to the point. Woke black women are some of the most bitter and disgusting girls i have ever seen ever in life and have spewed some of the most hateful rhetoric i have ever seen. And this is coming from a black women. But here’s my main complaints
• The whole “they only fuck you and fetishize you but won’t love you” is a woke version of the nice guy syndrome. You want a cookie and demand to be wifed because you don’t have any biases against black men? Seriously? Whats the difference between that mentality and the nice guy syndrome? Nobody owes you shit. And this whole “they will never love you so stay on this side and dont go anywhere” is the same rhetoric abusive men use to make sure their abused wives don’t leave.
• Why do yall INSIST that yall will love and raise mixed kids better than the white women that give birth to them? There is SO much that goes into parenting- more than just race issues. You’re literally responcible for bringing a whole human being into this world and raising them to become a functioning member of society. And here’s the truth: white women do NOT need permission slips from the black community to have black kids. Literally there are millions of checklists that go into parenting. The only difference when it comes to raising a chuld of a different race is: don’t be racist, learn to do hair (every race has to learn to do that tbh), and be there for them if they discuss racism (tbh every parent is supposed to be there for their kids if theu discuss a tough time). That’s it.
• If the same amount of races found us attractive we would be with the interracial dating shit. Don’t lie. (And tbh they probably do, we (especially me) just have work harder to get that attention). It’s so easy to get caught up in incel culture and create a victim complex. But lets be real, its a setback but i feel like if we work hard and present ourselves well...then we’ll be fine. Soon as i lose this weight i’m back in the game baby. 😎
• Yall actually just hate interracial dating and just want to hide a “woke” reason behind it to seem justified. Periodt.
• BLACK WOMEN FETISHIZE BLACK MEN AS MUCH AS WHITE WOMEN DO. Literally what’s wrong with thinking black guys are hot? All the reasons yall say yall hate white women for are shit YALL do. Yall sit there and say yall hate when they say they love black dick but YALL say yall love black dick soooooo what is the issue???? Yall will sit there and THIRST over lance gross and odell beckums brown skin but if a white girl does the SAME shit yall call foul play? And don’t sit there and say “okay well we actually LOVE and CARE and RESPECT our black men”. What? People love others on an individual basis. You can’t come and convince a white wife that black women love and respect her black husband MORE than the white wife will. You just can’t do that. Oh and stop demanding to be shown love from married black men in interracial relationships. Someone who’s married doesn’t owe you shit.
• The reasons yall give black men to not date outside their race are just as blantabtly stupid and the reasons people use to give for not dating black women. “Don’t date them bc they cant season their food or do black hair!!!” This is a LEARNED trait. Yall acting like they literally couldn’t just get up at any given moment and time and learn how to season their food or do black hair. Also, black women didn’t come out of the womb knowing all the things they know about seasoning food and doing hair. They learned. And white woman can equally learn too. Just because they didnt grow up doing it doesn’t mean they won’t learn. And you see all those youtube videos on how to do black hairstyles? You reslly think its majority white women watching this? NO its majorty black women. So idk why yall call out white women for not being able to do black hair when yall cant do it either. Did YALL black women do every single hairstyle on your black child? No. You took them to a salon because you didn’t know how to do it yourself. So why do white women of mixed kids who can’t do hair get more slander when black women with black kids can’t do black hair either. Garunteed, black girls obviously have more experience due to dealing with their own hair but my point still stands. These generic ass reason are just as stupid as the people who used to say “dont date black girls bc they don’t wear their natural hair out and they wear wigs” or “you cant go swimming with black girls” or dumb shit. As if them wearing protective hairstyles is the be-all, end-all, dealbreaker. Such a stupid reason. Stop convincing people to be afraid of love.
• also the whole “the non-black family wont accept you” shit is dumb. Whose to say the black family will accept me? There could be a plethora of reasons a family couldnt accept me, from me being buddhist instead of catholic or for my job profession or my personality or just cultural differences or mannerisms in general. This could happen in any family of any race. The only difference is in a black family, the only thing you won’t have to worry about is racism. Not to say that racism is a small thing bc racism is a big deal. But like...you’re not automatically going to be accepted by a family because yall are the same race. Wtf.
• Yall actually do just hate interracial dating. Its not for a justified reason. I know this because there are black men who actually have never said or done a single harmful thing to black women or the black comunity (dwayne the rock johnson, and other men) and yall STILL hate them. So clearly yall just hate just to hate.
• i love the last part of the post. Its not white womens fault that black men bash black girls. They aren’t at fault for that. And tbh i have seen lots of white women say nice things about my hair meanwhile james and kyles dumbass from burger king bashed me. Thats why you can’t convince me that cultural appropriation is inheritly a bad thing bc i went my whole life being seen as ugly. Now people love me and my hair and people wanna convince me that’s a bad thing? And i get the whole “they praise it on them and bash it on us” mentality. Bc that sucks. But Like we can call out the people bashing black women for it. Not the white girls who think is pretty.
White women, continue to date and fuck whoever. Honestly nobody cares. There is zero difference between black women wanting to fuck black guys bc they think they’re hot and white women wanting to fuck black guys bc they think they’re hot.

Born for this - ch 6
'they have us sitting far from our teamates'
I was sitting a row in front of Kiba, 4 rows behind Norio and Ronin was 5 rows behind me and to the left.
I look around trying to get a good bearing of where everyone is and what kind of exam this might be.
then they start passing out papers
'oh poor Naruto, OH poor me'
"Rule number ONE is this" the proctor begins "the written exam is conducted on a point reduction system, contrary to what most of you are used too, you all begin the test with a perfect score a ten points, on point will be deducted for each question you get wrong, so if you get three your final score will be seven."
"Rule number TWO" he continues "teams pass or fail based on the final total score of all their team members"
"WHAT WAIT A SECOND WE GET SCORED AS A TEAM" Sakura screams
"Shut up and listen, I have my reasons" he replies "rule number THREE, the sentinels that you see around the room are there to watch you carefully for any signs of cheating and for every incident they catch they will take two points off your test, and if you get caught five times you and your team have to leave, if you get caught cheating you don't belong here, if you want to be Shinobi show us what excellent shinobi you can be"
"the final question wont be given out till 15 minutes before the end of the testing period, you have an hour, GO"
I flip over my paper and shudder as I look at the questions
'wowee this is some advanced stuff I might be screwed, Norio should be fine though since he has his special Jutsu thing'
I look over tot he sentinel 'why only a two point deduction for cheating, why not just throw us out right away'
Akamaru starts barking " yeah good boy that'll do it now for number four"
'so hes cheating'
I start figuring out the code problem 'if we cant score zero by answering none then if I just answer one and its an easy one like the code then Ill have a score of nine and wont have to answer the rest, right?'
A kunai goes right by my face and nails into the paper of the person beside me
"number 33 fail, you and your team leave immediately"
I let out a breath, I couldn't help but think that might've been for me
as I figure out the one problem making sure I answer it correctly other teams start to get kicked out
'thank goodness its none of my team, or my friends either'
"Time for problem ten" the proctor starts "There are rules special to this question, you can choose whether or not you want to be given the question"
"wHOA whats the catch? whaqt happens if i don't want the question?" someone shouts
"if you don't want the question then regardless of your answers on the other nine, you fail the test" he replies "and that means your teammates fail as well, if you do accept the question and you fail you will be barred from ever taking the chunin exam again"
"HEY THATS BULL" Kiba shouts
"now if you are ready, if you do not want to take the final question then you will get up and leave'
it takes a while but then team start raising their hands and leaving
I turn to look at Ronin 'are we staying? do you and Norio have the question?'
he winks and gives me a thumbs up and I nod ' do I have the question?'
I only answered one question so maybe I got it but maybe I don't
"NO WAY IM NOT LEAVING I DONT CARE IF I GET STUCK AS A GENIN FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE IM STILL GONNA BE HOKAGE"
the proctor smiles
"well now theres nothing left but for me to tell you that you have all passed"
I lean forward 'what did he say?'
he starts explain how it was about how he actually wanted us to cheat, but not get caught as part of our Shinobi information gathering
he takes off his headband, revealing a scarred head
"Information is the most important part of winning a battle, there will be times when you have to risk your life for the source of your information, disinformation can be worse then no information at all, it can lead to the loss of comrades or the destruction of a village"
"yea but I still don't see what the tenth question was about" someone says
"I out you guys in a no win situation so you and your team would have to make a difficult decision" he sighs "their will be many missions that will seem impossible but do you let that stop you? no you have to risk it all for the mission"
"I declare this part of the chunin exam completed"
Cheers come from around the room but they blend in with the sound of glass breaking as something flies through the window
A women appears in front of a banner that was quickly hung
"Im Anko, and I will be running the second part of the exam, all you teams, come with me"
We all get up and start leaving the room, following her into the hallway
"so how did you do?" Kiba asked sliding up next to me
"I dunno I hope I did well I only answered one question though, cause they said we had to answer questions but they never said how many so I got like a score of nine or ten" I answer sliding a little closer to him as other people start to push past me to find their teammates
"I just hoped the guy I was cheating off of actually knew what he was doing" he laughs and I join in
"what do you think this second  part of the exam will be?" I ask him, looking around for Ronin and Norio so that we could maybe talk up a strategy
"I have no idea" he admits "I've only seen the battles between contestents at the end and that was when my sister went through so it was a while ago"
"Im sure they will tell us soon" I say waving my arm to flag down Norio, at 15 I stand 5'5 and at 15 most of the guys here stand at 5'9 or higher, and the majority of the people here were guys...
"SAYURI" Norio shouts laughing "we thought we lost the little one"
//////A/n do you know how bad I wanted to say 'we lost the hobbits'//////
I slam my fist into his upper arm "Shut up Norio" I say
"theres Hinata and Shino" kiba places a hand on my shoulder "see yall later"
"bye Kiba!" I say as he walks away
Norio and Ronin raise their eyebrows "whats that about?" Ronin asked
"oh um its nothing" I replied
their eyebrows seemed to raise higher
"just shut up I don't know ok lets just go we probably should come up with some sort of strategy" I say turning my back to both of them and following all the other teams out the door
