I was gonna ask you this anyway actually bc you know a lot of artists but I just kept forgetting bc adhd is kicking my ass rn but since you wanted asks: do you know of any cool online stores or artists selling stickers? im trying to decorate my new laptop and I bought a few on etsy but I wanna get more

made in a lab to answer this question bc all i do is look for artists that skew cool. i will also give artists that skew cute. some artists are in between these categories, that is, they have a cute artstyle with subject matter that at least at times skews cool. my metric for whats cool and whats cute is pretty much 'based on aesthetics if this were being sold at a basement show in the 90s to 00s would someone get called gay'. if the answer is yes, its cute. if the answer is no, its cool. i dont know if this makes sense but im gonna use this categorizing anyway. i will tag the artists who are on tumblr but otherwise im naming everyone by their instagram handle because thats where i look at art and im on my phone and cant link everyone without losing my sanity

But here is my attempted rundown of the lyrics and how I feel it fits them

He is often seen staring absentmindedly at Aziraphale, and also across the road at the end, just in hopes that Aziraphale will change his mind last minute and stay

He knows that theres danger and hurt in wanting to be with Aziraphale due to the nature of 'their sides', he knows that Aziraphale has often been very about their respective side's, with the fact that Aziraphale left him to join his again

I don't really have much for this one other than the fact that he enjoys spending time with Aziraphale

Him admitting his feelings for Aziraphale straight after he had been told he was leaving was such an insanely brave thing to do, but it seemed to absolutely shatter him. His entire life has been flipped because Aziraphale has left, he has barely anything to live for now his love is gone. Aziraphale was his life.

Skipping the next couple lines because they're pretty much just repetitions of that last one because chorus

(the two genders i hc him with are male/female though so) i wouldnt say he feels just one or the other, he feels both at the same time

shes very much a lesbian. just. just like yeah. i think the most prominent character that she flirts with (other than alice) is mally. from what ive seen it only really happens when its el dormouse on stage but before i started seeing that i always saw mally/absolem/thackery as like, a trio. i mean obviously everyone in the band are friends, but idk. i have lots of drawings of those three hanging out so maybe thats just something my delusional brain has completely made up. but anyway the point is i dont ship those two and i sort of see them with a more sibling dynamic. mally always holds her back when shes trying to touch the little castle music box thing, at the end of sets he’ll pull her antennae to take her off stage/she'll pull him by his scarf, etc. (also theres a clip where she kisses him on the cheek and as they begin to walk off stage she turns to the crowd and mouths “no” and does the throat slitting gesture thing which makes me think theyre sorta just playing around :p)

sooo in a post a while back i said i hc her as genderfluid but ive changed my mind?? actually before i made that post i headcanoned her as trans but then switched to genderfluid and now ive uhh changed my mind again. im very indecisive like that and very easily swayed on my opinions haha,,, @ticktockteapot's metaphor for her “becoming the beautiful butterfly she was always meant to be” is very nice i like it lots. also the fact that ladypillar has a much higher stage presence than absolem (obviously not including the spiderwebs number…or crazypillar) was always so sweet to me cuz like,,,aw shes finally more comfortable being herself and performing :’)

Tell me about the symptoms of ptsd that fp shows

wish i had the gifset i was looking at earlier that brought all this up lmao but anyway google is free SO

agitation, irritability, hostility, self destructive behavior.... self explanatory we have visual canon proof of all those things. self isolation... like sending your son to go live with your best friend bc you dont think youre good enough to raise him (which to be fair he is not but also his sons shitty so idk whos winning that battle for rightness but whatever) ALSO im willing to bet if we saw the actual downfall of his and gladys’ marriage we wouldve seen his attempts at pushing her away much like how he was with fred in 107 at the jailhouse (not saying hed be physical with her but like... idk the mind wanders sometimes i cannot lie but mentally hed be in the same space) ALSO theres the alleged matter of the flashback where we see fp (along with everyone else but sh we’re focusing on fp right now) isolating himself from the group which i mean really him cutting ties with everyone who is not fred makes sense cuz they werent friends to begin with but (and idc what r*s wanted us to believe) he and fred were absolutely friends prior so THAT particular relationship is what needs to be focused on because fp pushing himself away from fred actually means something in this context.

emotional detachment is another could-be symptom... as i have also discussed via is reactions to freds death + his alcoholism which always either goes one of two ways: we see him drinking to numb the emotions or we see the drinking enhancing them (and of course all this ties back into self destructive behavior)

now for this part... i want to make it VERY clear that i absolutely do not condone riverdales writing.... i think we’re all aware of that here but lest this post get in the hands of outsiders lmao... just wanna make it clear. and they absolutely are not thinking this deeply... about anything.... but especially about fp... but like if i were the one taking charge of this storyline with whats already been written... this is how i would explain things:

so lost of interest or pleasure in activities can also be a symptom of ptsd and at first i was like eh i dont know if i really see anything in canon that backs this up BUT then i remembered fps constant flip flopping about the serpents and how he was all set up to have this cushy life on the north side only to later go back to the serpents (i guess? i still dont know whats hes doing) and particularly that stupid ass scene with archie at pops talking about how he missed ... street fighting... i guess.... anyway i say all this to say that it doesnt directly fit into “loss of interests” but i think its worth noting how he never seems to be satisfied (which... i know is 100% just inconsistent writing. i get that yes we know but i also think theres some truth to be dug out from that bc uhhhh i can do whatever i want thank you) but once again this also ties back into self destructive behavior because of course fp cannot just leave things alone when hes got it good he has this raging boner to fuck everything up at all times

BNHA MECHA/MILITARY/GUNDAM AU??? FT. TDMM + OTHERS.

JUST HEAR ME OUT OK:

idk when this is set but some sci-fi au where earth is at war w some enemy people and the military uses mechs

U.A. aka United Alliance is the military organization in charge of Earth's mechs

decades ago for idk.. WW III or something, pilots enlisted in U.A. piloting giant mechs (aka H.E.R.O.S. - “high efficiency robotic operating systems”) became protectors of citizens?? some shit like that.

the top pilots made a name for themselves were namely Toshinori Yagi piloting the TPHR-ALL MIGHT at #1 and #2 Todoroki Enji piloting the FLHR-ENDEAVOR

(Bonus: TPHR for "The People's HERO" and FLHR for, you guessed it, "Flame HERO" woooo)

but during the final mecha fight that subsequently ended WW III, Toshinori Yagi was declared MIA bc his mech crash landed on some coastal shore and by the time they found ALL MIGHT, the cockpit was empty and the pilot was gone

anyway fast forward >> U.A. has a cadet school and low and behold who do we find enrolled,,, aspiring young pilots Midoriya Izuku and Bakugou Katsuki

they both heard the heroic stories of pilot Toshinori and ALL MIGHT and woooo got into U.A.

also in U.A. ofc is Todoroki Shouto whos been groomed to be a mecha pilot since age 5 courtesy of Enji. D u h. (Enji's still piloting ENDEAVOR at this time but has it pretty set that Shouto will inherit piloting his mech)

aaand ofc we get the rest of class 1A in U.A. cadet school for various reasons

ANYWAY im not going into cadet school days bc thats boring but lets say ofc top of the class pilots are Izuku Bakugou and Todoroki that aces all the flight simulations blah blah blah

Also Toshinori was found to be declared MIA to the public but actually whoop. He's at U.A. as one of the boardmembers bc ofc that’s how im making the story work. Idk he was too injured and has too much ptsd that he cant pilot anymore and is looking for the next pilot to inherit ALL MIGHT (which is fixed up by now)

NOW INTO THE ACTUAL MEAT OF THE STORY - NEW WAR (WW4? I GUESS)

CADET KIDS ARE NO LONGER CADETS. THEYRE FULL FLEDGED PILOTS NOW AND ARE THROWN INTO THE NEXT WAR BC THAT WAS PART OF WHAT THEY SIGNED UP FOR. Whos the enemy? LoV ofc but i dont have a cool name for them yet LMAOOOO

K SO new war. New battle cruisers. New mechs yayayya

U.A. has 2 new battle cruisers: Sirius A and Sirius B, designated (1-A and 1-B DUH)and duh, the crew of 1-A and 1-B is gonna be classes respectively

1-A, Aizawa is captain of the ship LMAOOOO Momo's the crew's battle analyst on comms + nav, Iida takes the helm, idk whos gonna be on weaponry yet but I kinda wanna make it Tokoyami

Izuku Bakugou and Todoroki are mecha pilots ofc

they have custom made mechs that were made for them for mostly training so the models are pretty basic compared to ALL MIGHT and ENDEAVOR but eh they do the job.

I'm doing the hero name thing again so Izuku pilots OAHR-DEKU, Todo pilots HCHR-SHOUTO and Bakugou pilots.... EXHR-K.E.KILL

bc they’re custom they got to name the mechs so friggin Bakugou. I tried LMAO (if someone can guess the acronyms, bonus points)

also hey! they have a squadron of fighter jet pilots and hey! Its the Bakusquad!!!

each of the fighters have their own names too so you guessed it, their hero namessss ha..ha..ha..ha..

OKAY more people: Hatsume Mei's their engineer. She basically built the mechs and works under Powerloader that built the cruiser ships

Gran Torino built the fighter jets lol

uhh Tsuyu's probably the crew's nurse in the infirmary or smth. Chiyo is the head military doctor back at the U.A. base??? idk

Nedzu head of U.A. Self explanatory.

Fuyumi and Natsuo are there too!!! Fuyumi's part of the cadet teaching staff. Natsuo's a fighter pilot of another fleet

Anyway, TODOMOMO IN THIS AU

they met in cadet training. Momo was working towards being an analyst anyway so naturally they paired up for training exercises as comm + pilot top of the class. Aizawa's first choices when choosing who to enlist in for the 1-A crew

every time Shouto deploys for a fight Momo's hypervigilant in keeping tabs on him in the air bc honestly the worst is seeing a laserbeam aiming for his mech's cockpit

I mean she keeps tabs on Deku and Bakugou too but. y’know she has a bias loool

and god forbid if anything were to happen to Shouto bc the worse would be for him to be MIA or KIA bc this is a war. People lose their lives. She knows its what they signed up for but if she can help him avoid it, she will

but sometimes it cant be helped. Especially since she’s navigating for the other pilots and the ship

it doesn’t help that Shouto's kinda reckless in his mech fights when they get too intense. sometimes he'll ignore his comms all together and when he does that half the time he comes out of his cockpit injured bc nuclear explosions. Recoil. Life threatening occupational hazard. D u h

Momo's basically crying by his bedside in the infirmary every time that happens

and THE ONE INSTANCE WHERE HE IS OFFICIALLY DECLARED MIA, Momo loses it

bc its his fight against the enemy mech CRHR-DABI. Its in the midst of the enemy's unexpected assault. and the 1A and 1B are taking heavy fire. So she has to focus on Aizawa's orders. and Shouto is getting out range that she cant keep tabs on him. and he's ignoring her comms. so by the end of it, by the time the enemy ships and mechs retreat, HCHR-SHOUTO is g o n e

the dust clears up. Its raining. The fighting's stopped. All of the enemy forces has retreated so U.A. calls their pilots to retreat

2 of their 3 mechs have returned to the ship except for SHOUTO. And Momo's frantically trying to get through to him. But nothing.

Aizawa orders her to stop trying. they'll send out a search team to investigate his last known location after everyone rests. Repairs to 1A and the mechs need to be made. They have to make haste, but for now, rest.

all the logistical post-battle crap is cared for first. Status reports, repair agenda, the next battle plan. The search team is sent out.

nothing.

they keep looking.

nothing for days.

keep looking.

they find it. HCHR-SHOUTO in a lake torn to shambles. The cockpit cut open. Blood stains trail out toward the forest it crashed in but no pilot nearby. (Bc hell ya im gonna recycle tropes loool)

Todoroki Shouto declared missing in action.

Momo gets the update and she’s devastated

but theres no time to mourn. A second enemy attack.

the Orion fleet is called in. ENDEAVOR's fleet.

and there he is. that mech. CRHR-DABI. again.

DABI VS ENDEAVOR wooooooooooooo

but this time its nearby the city. Civilians need to be evacuated. WGHR-HAWKS assists in protecting the city as much as possible.

but yup ENDEAVOR gets destroyed too. Enji comes out of his cockpit in critical condition. and the enemy retreats again.

more aftermath. More repairing, more strategies, more recovering the injured. Its a war after all.

U.A. works on building a new mech. ENDEAVOR #2. But Enji has to officially retire from piloting due to his head injury.

and his successor is missing.

there is no pilot.

that is until Shouto shows up again!!!!

he has new scar on the left side of his face.

he saw ENDEAVOR's fight.

he’s alive. He’s come back. And he's out to take down DABI.and you bet he made his dramatic reappearance like:

Aizawa, at a battle meeting with Momo, Nedzu, Toshinori and other UA officials: "Tell me Nedzu. what choices do we have? Enji is compromised. His successor is missing. We're out of pilots. Who’s going to pilot the second ENDEAVOR?"

Todo, walking casually through the door: "I will."

After thoughts:

CRHR-DABI is grey and purple and is piloted by Touya who else would it be

the fleet that i said Natsuo was a part of is the Orion fleet.. Enji's fleet

now that I think about it, Aoyama is probably the designer behind the pilot suits

so first thing u shld do while ur at a low level is get a mentor.. when i started playing i just fucked around and didnt get a mentor until i was well into lvl 40.. a mentorship is where low lvl (15 to 45 i tihnk..) players can apply for an apprenticeship and level up fast while also getting rewards such as grade darumas and a random ssr once u finish ur apprenticeship.. u can find the mentor application icon in the right side of ur courtyard.. it shld look like this!

while under a mentor u are also lvling up ur friendship which, once it reaches a certain level, it unlocks the co-op feature that u can find by clicking the scroll at the bottom right hand side of ur screen > friends > co-op tab at the bottom right side of the pop up screen... there u can access ur friends powerful shikigami that u can use a limited amount of times daily to beat hard chapters/evo/soul zones, etc etc... if ur looking for a mentor i recently finished an apprenticeship w someone so im free to help out if ur interested ^__^ (my user is @.sneer [all lowercase] if u didnt already know hehe)

join a guild if you havent already! i tihnk it prompts you to join a guild when u first start playing i dont rmbr but a couple things to rmbr.. one. if ur guild has ‘15gq’ ‘100gq’ in its notice, gq means guild quest and u like.. HAVE to do those or else theyll kick u from the guild.. u can find the guild quests by going to ur guild, clikcing the shrine tab on the bottom right, and where it says GROUP QUESTS thats it! usually theyre basic things like submit grade four souls or evo materials but u shld definitely stack up on evo materials and souls so u dont run out.. so if ur guild says 100+gqs.... i wld suggest leaving that guild for a lighter gq guild.. 100+gq guilds are like.. big bad guilds who wanna rank in the top ten soo save urself the trouble.... TWO. ur realm! ur realm comes w ur guild so if ur kicked u cant access ur realm :( i think u already know what ur realm is and what it does so i will just say .. fuse ur low level realm cards.. SAVE UR DRUMS REALM CARDS.. if its a 1*, fuse it but if its 3*+... save that bad boy..

speaking of jade... SAVE IT.. jade and mystery talismans r like GOLD.. theyre rlly easy to get in the beginning of the game but they start getting super scarce when ur lvling up and r completing achievements.. usually when u get ten mystery amulets or 1k jade ur gonna think “oh what if i get an ssr out of this summon ooh” YOU WILL NOT.. this game HATES ur ass it hates u so much it hates ME it hates EVERYONE except lvl 60s who get new ssrs and shit on their first summon... ennieway.. random chance up events r stupid scams but chance up events featuring new shikigami are not... like the one thats going on right now for sp aoandon.. these r good events... random chance up events coming up out of no where is just netease being like ‘buy more jade we want ur money ugly idiot... stupid lmao’.. so yeah hoard ur amulets and jade AH ALSO IN THE MALL go to the mall and go to GENERAL.. youll see a package that says smth like 5 daily jade or smth that costs 666 jade.. BUY THAT itll give u 5 jade daily everyday.. it also stacks up so if ur not online for a couple days u wil be swimming in it baby...

oh god what else... click ur scroll on the bottom right and at the end next to collection youll see a tab that says TEAM.. thats a very useful helpful tab bc if u ever need help or want to join in on someone elses team for loot this is where u go.. when i started playing and i was farming for hiyoribo shards i always went to the system chat and clicked rlly fast on the hiyoribo shard zone hoping i cld get in ... i did that up until i was in my lvl 40s .. ur prbly smarter than me and alreayd know abt this tab but just felt like i needed to mention it just in case.........

SHARDS... if u get enough shards u can form a summoning pact w that shikigami.. demon seals are little side quests that pop up after youve completed a chapter/exploration and they come up randomly with a handful of different shikigami... but you can also access all of the demon seals from the TEAM tab i mentioned above.... demon seals only have a handful of shikigami though not all of them so dont expect to see like ssr demon seals lol also  some of the shikis u can farm from demon seals are VERY good.. ill touch on this later.. DEMON PARADE is another good way to collect shards.. in ur courtyard, click the town sign and the demon parade sign shld be the first thing u see! demon parade, unlike the demon seals, are chance thing, u might get the shards u want or u might not.. its kinda stupid... throwing beans around and shit.. itll give u a lineup of three shiki that u can choose from, if u hit the shiki u picked u get extra shards.. u might see some shiki in the parade w little lanterns over their heads, that just means they give more shards too nothing special

SHIKIGAMI... when ur looking at all of ur rare and sr shikigami ur probably thinking “this sucks these r all USELESS i want ssrs and sps >:(” well akchually... some of the best shiki in the game (for beginners especially) are rares and srs... shouzu (r), kamaitachi (sr), and hiyoribo (sr), are all farmable shikigami u can get from demon seals, if u havent summoned them already! yamausagi, a shiki u will see a LOT, is also a very easily summonable shiki so dont throw her away.. if u have duplicates of the same shiki u can PROMOTE THEM and it will level up one of their skills, just like a skill daruma! (DONT waste ur skill darumas they are soo valuable.. only use them on the shiki u use the most and want to lvl up skills on).. lvling up the skills on ur shiki increases their power and adds perks and makes them over all.. very sexy..

all shikigami have a certain role and its very important u know which shiki is which bc sometimes if u use them wrong u can mess up ur entire team.. here are all of the roles and some shiki examples:

dps: dps stands for ‘damage per second’ but it can also be used as a noun to describe a shikigami that is damage focused (ex. kuro mujou, momiji, hangan, mio)

cc: stands for ‘crowd control’. ccs have the ability to limit the number of enemies actively fighting during an encounter giving u the advantage (ex. enma, yuki onna, yumekui, samurai x)

pusher: pushes the enemies move bar back, giving u the advantage of going first (ex. kamikui)

puller: basically the same thing as pusher. pulls the ally move bar forward (ex. kamaitachi, yamausagi)

shield: shiki that provides a shield of some sort to protect allies without the use of souls (ex. ichimokuren, shiro)

heal: self explanatory (ex. sakura, hana)

revive: healer types with the ability to revive players w a cooldown. not all healers are revives (ex. hiyoribo, momo)

support: self explanatory.. supports allies (ex. miketsu, kujira, bake-kujira)

unique: shiki w unique abilities that cant be placed under labels (ex. hakuzosu, ushi no toki)

orbs: shiki that supply orbs to ur team (ex. aoandon, zashiki, oitsuki)

counter: shiki that counters after an enemy attack (ex. mannendake, vampire)

AND FINALLYYYYYY how to build ur shiki... while doing explorations u get free little souls.. in the beginning this will be ok since ur just starting off but actually each shiki has a perfect soul that makes them work the best.. now there are too many souls for me to actually list so as a parting gift to this entirely too long onmyoji cheat sheet, i will leave u this SHIKIGAMI BUILD GUIDE made by the nura clan.. it lists EVERY shikigami w the perfect soul for them, what role they play, and how to build them.. i touched on their roles a little bit above but i cldnt list everything so heres this.. i use it like everyday when building new shiki its sooo helpful

Karl Marx’s “On: The Jewish Question” seems a prototype for conflict theory, but has ‘the real jew’ as the 'Haves’ the in place of the 'bourgeois/rich/capitalist’ 'oppressor class’. Conflict theory, icydk, is the collectivist egalitarian pseudoscientific theoretical paradigm taught in sociology, underpinning essentially the whole social justice perspective, and directly encompassing marxist theory, feminist theory, critical race theory, critical theory, gender schema theory (and likely influenced John Money’s gender theory, and builds on gender theory), queer theory, gender critical theory, postmodern theory, lysenkoism (mostly abandoned), standpoint theory,  post colonial theory, animal liberationism, and of course, intersedtional theory which synthesizes them all together wherever they can be synthesized. Marx said the nature of jews is huckstery, he said the real lofe manifestationnof the god of israel is money itself, he said eliminating money would render the jew an equal and normal person. His whole theory, and every conflict theory since, relies on the presupposition the indovodual is irrelevant and what matters is only the aggregate disparities between groups. This turns his theoey ultimately against all boundaries of the individual, their private property and necessarily their innate natural self ownership, their right to self ddetermination. Marx viewed liberalism/individualism as egoism. His whole family was actually jewish, IIRC, he just didnt succeed like they did, he was jealous and a mooch, kind of a beta, likely an aspie if i am to go off the symptomology. He hated them, he was jealous, he wanted success and they had it and he didnt, and so he was basically spot-on like the character Cain from hebrew legend.

Martin Luther. He wrote “On The Jews and Their Lies”. He described jews as piglets suckling from their mother pig, israel, and blamed jews for pretty much everything he viewed as wrong in society. He was basically the predocessor to Hitler and Marx. And one might actually say Marx was an additional predocessor to Hitler. I sure would posot that as likely, even if by proxy of Hitler being influenced by left socialists. All four, all German. All of them. 5 if we include the Kaiser. The father of protestantism, the father of communism, the left reformer whos students sparked the “New Left” movement, and Hitler, HITLER. ALL GERMAN. Which is not an implicit racial claim im implying, but one about a sour philosophy. I refer to this as German Collectivism. It is the archetype if collectivism which germany seems particularly possessed by. These have ravaged the whole world, toppled entire nations and enslaved likely over two billion people considering just the PRC, USSR, and Nazi Germany esp with its labir camps. Luther could be viewed as the origin, certainly the origin of modern german collectivism (protestantism & lutherean conspiracy theory, left socialism, and nazism), but the purpose of germany has not changed through any of its past or present phases. It’s purpose seems to be unintentionally destroying itself in the process of intentionally trying to destroy the rest of Europe in attempt to conquer Europe and/or the world. Maybe it came from its clash with Rome, and it never left that modality of picking away at its neighbors. Perhaps its influence from the abrahamic faiths it long traded with, maybe that caused the sort of over-populate-and-make-conquest-youth-army kind of societal reproductive modality, by influence of the abrahamic faiths that did that in the middle east for millennia (with obvious great success, whereas Germany fails at the same niche). Maybe it’s because of their empire-orientation, their pre-lutherean state where they were catholic, and so the culture, thinkers and leaders became oriented toward empire. I dont know. But i do know Hitler, the Kaiser, and Marx were all three alienated children who were very disturbed, and assume Horkheimer and Martin Luther were of similar origins, it seems the common theme among these german influences. Disturbed children make for great communists, and germany has long been riddled with communists. Communists & new left communists like intersectionalists have been frequently compared to a religion, and germany was previously, according to Neitzsche who overtly shared my distain for German philosophy (to my surprise, i love him even more now), he said it seemed to him 4/5 people in germany  were part of protestant clergy. The whole state seems in an unending modality if one total hegemonic culthood after another.

The purpose for german collectivism being so consistently against jews, i assume. It is that jews are very successful on average by comparison to every other category in the west. So theyre integral to the structure of society, particularly around power. So to do the sort of semetic strategy, the strategy of Mohammad and Moses, the strategy of just toppling societies and inheriting the remains, in the west, one must (perhaps in a sidenote of historical irony) go through the jews. If they want to make their collectivist totalitarian ideology dominate, they have to go full cain, and stab their brothers - the jews. And just as stabbing Abel didnt wirk well for Cain, obviously taking out the most success oriented demographic (OF WHICH THERE ARE TWO) in your country is not going to work well for Germany. The other the German Collectivist opposes is the individualist - the English liberal, the stoic, the empiricist, the existentialist, the naturalist, the skeptic, these sorts. These sorts of ideas bring success, and so the authoritarian german collectivist requires their demise as well. The Kaiser hated types like us, the Fuhror hated types like us, marx hated types like us, Horkheimer, and Luther to a clear extent.

i should mention, im not a supernaturalist, the supernatural is all metaphor taken as superstition, im woth Neitszche. Magnus Relisten Eps 15 and 16

right, so, a bit pressed for time so apologies if im brief here, but Lost Johns’ Cave and Arachnophobia are both in my mind fairly self explanatory so lets hope its fine.

Episode 15: Lost Johns’ Cave Case #0140911 Statement of Laura Popham, regarding her experience exploring the Three Counties System of caves with her sister, Aleana Sanderson.

Good episode! like, really good episode! we’ll get to my rating later but know going in that this one is very solid. So, before i say anything else i do want to lead with the fact that i am absolutely fascinated by caves. Been to quite a few, play Minecraft to basically explore them and nothing else, and had some positive experiences with creepy cave fiction before in the form of the excellent Kentucky Route Zero. So i have a bit of a bias in favor of The Magnus Archives’ resident caving episode. But of course, we’re here to be scared by caves, not be fascinated by them, so how does this episode do in that regard? well... very well. The main scare is of course when Laura gets stuck in the squeeze and that whole ordeal, and its very well done. The fear of drowning, being trapped in a tight space, and then that creepy hand, its a viscerally terrifying encounter, though not one that i find hard to listen to as i know a lot of people describe this episode to be. I don’t have a particular fear of tight spaces, i’ve found. I think more frightening though is our ending stinger: the revelation that, unmentioned by Laura, she spent 2 hours in that dark tight space chanting “Take her not me” and was seemingly obliged. Especially given that Laura makes occasional mention of not particularly liking her sister, it comes of as a pure example of human capability for cruelty, which I always find more frightening than the actual supernatural scares on this show.

Another perhaps less creepy but very interesting quirk of this episode is the ambiguity. Specifically, i don’t think theres any question that Laura experienced this, even if it was in her head, and the camera footage and mysterious candles found with Laura at her rescue suggest it was very much real. But the story still apparently makes no sense given the layout of the cave and the parks records. This has me wondering... when did Laura and Alana actually fall into the clutches of the supernatural cave system? i think it was well before Laura actually notices something odd. her description of feeling as though she’s being swallowed, the way their path makes no sense, the way the phrase “a perfect fit” comes into her head... i think they fell into the supernatural well before that squeeze, probably before even entering the cave given there description of an odd lack of people around... The fact that it seems to have had its clutches on them so far in advance fascinates me, especially as theres no real explanation for how any of this could possibly work.

I think i touched on the main traits of our narrator a bit already, namely her retroactively sinister distaste for her sister. its interesting, as is her love of caving: her other defining trait is her ritual of turning the lights out in the cave, and in fact her worst moment when trapped is when a light appears... it all implies to me that perhaps she survived out of a certain... affinity to the horror of Lost Johns’ Cave.

9/10. kinda struggled giving this one a score, its... not as good as Vampire Hunter, but its still oh so very good. either an 8 or a 9, amd im feeling nice especially given our next episode... you’ll see.

SPOILER PARAGRAPH: so I feel I did pretty good at talking about all i wanted through vagaries and hints up in the non-spoilered section, but just to make what I was implying clear: I suspect that Laura has potential as a Buried avatar, even if she never gets to the point of embracing it, and i think the Buried had its eye on her for long before this event, though the mechanism for such a thing is still unclear to me. Anyways, hey! our first legit Buried episode! yeah, sure, i know we had the coffin as early as episode two and that will become very important to the depiction of the Buried on this show but that episode wasnt actually about the fear of tight spaces now was it? This episode hits all the high points of my favorite entity in spectacular fashion, and honestly kind of defines the Buried for me. We have the horrid claustrophobia, being squeezed, risk of drowning, underground mazes, and of course, the strange white hand that shows up again much later in the show. That white hand fascinates me, by the way, as we still have not a single clue as to what it actually is beyond “something Buried related”. I think what i especially love about this episode’s Buried feature though is the simple fact that it takes place in a cave system. I love how the Buried, more than any other entity, has to craft these elaborate physical spaces to entrap its victims. No monsters, no notable avatars, but lots of weird, impossible worlds to torment people with. It is, in my mind, absolutely fascinating.

Episode 16: Arachnophobia Case #0150409 Statement of Carlos Vittery, regarding his arachnophobia and its manifestations.

So this is my least favorite episode of the show. Or more accurately, the episode i most vividly remember being bad as there are several i dont really remember at all so i cant say absolutely for certain that this is my very least favorite of all 160. But lets be real, its my least favorite. I mean unless one is dreadfully afraid of spiders as like, a concept, its really not that scary, no? And other than a cute cat name nothing besides spider scares really happen in this episode. Its just one guy with a self-admitted fear of spiders describing a spider as particularly menacing and claiming to see it multiple times after killing it and we’re just i guess taking his word for it because up until the very end nothing happens that couldnt have a mundane explanation. And i mean, sure, lets take it on its level and assume as the episode clearly wants us to that the spider is in fact a ghost well its still just a spider sitting there being described as large and creepy? really unless you are very very very afraid of spiders this episode doesnt have much too it. Hell, even the narrator seems to agree, undermining his own story near constantly with “this is the part where you call me crazy” and such. Finally theres the ending which kinda addresses the issue with a clearly supernatural occurrence but then ruins that bit by featuring the most egregious example of “jon doesnt believe something clearly supernatural is supernatural” on the entire show! like this episode barely has everything going for it and then even what it does have it undermines with unintentional comedy. Also, is it just me or is this episode boring? Both times I’ve listened to it I unintentionally zoned out about two thirds of the way through and had to struggle to pay attention.

i’m not even going to give this one a narrator watch, Carlos Vittery doesnt really have much beyond the titular arachnophobia. Which, sure, that could be an interesting trait in an episode with more obviously supernatural stuff but in this context it, as ive said, undermines the listener’s ability to take it seriously

SPOILER PARAGRAPH: there is a bit to be said here. I mean the obvious bit is that the silver worms mentioned in the statement end up being Jane Prentiss worms that Martin bumps into while following up on Vittery later on. Kind of a shame that Jon doesnt call attention to that as its an interesting detail i didnt notice til second time ‘round. Also i believe that this is our first Web episode, so long as you dont count the maybe of the vampires. And ive got to say, not a great start. I say that partially because i dont like the episode, but also because i think this episode more than any other Web episode shows off a major major major problem with the Web as written: For all the ways the Web metaphorically uses spiders as a great image of a puppetmaster, literal spiders fit far better in with the Corruption than they do with the actual Web! like, this episode is entirely about Carlos being grossed out by a bug, and zero percent about mindcontrol or manipulation unless you maybe count using fear to manipulate Carlos into... moving to a flat, i guess? But the bit about breaking the egg sac should definitely be Corruption. And like, we know from the s4 episode Web Development that Carlos is definitely being targeted by the web here which... honestly just dashes any chance that this is the Corruption borrowing the spider motif to be gross, which could have been a fix here. I’d chalk it up to Early Installment Weirdness, and to a degree it is, but honestly every other Web episode that uses actual spiders has this same problem, albeit to a lesser degree.

the human sex talk

okay trolls listen up heres the sex talk your lusus wont give you

im going to try to keep this as basic as possible because its going to be confusing anyway so if youre human and youre reading this thinking wow davesprite why didnt you bring up x im sorry bear with me

okay

humans have two basic sexes male and female

for trolls this split isnt really significant in terms of reproduction obviously universes vary and i dont know about every troll but the sexual dimorphism between trolls is very low compared to say some of your lusii or native animals i know some universes where trolls dont have sexes at all just genders

for humans however outside of medical and scientific intervention only a male sex and female sex pair can produce a child

males of the species are born with what is called a penis this is roughly analogous to the bone bulge of a troll below the penis where a nook is on a troll are the testicles sometimes referred to as the balls

you then have the what do trolls call it waste chute or whatever thats further behind the balls

and thats all that is down there

the penis is a flesh covered muscle that normally hangs limp in front of the pelvis there is no sheath and it does not retract into the body it is usually smaller than a troll bulge so the average range is between four and six inches its generally the same width all the way usually between like an inch or two inches in diameter

the head of the penis can be slightly wider than the shaft but doesnt have to be you can usually tell where the shaft ends and the head begins because the shape is slightly different usually the skin that covers the penis will also cover the head and then there will be a sort of fold where the urethra is at the very tip

the urethra is a small hole and thats where piss and ejaculate come out but well get to that in a bit

some humans however have the fold before the head leaving the more sensitive skin around the urethra exposed this isnt the way humans are born but its pretty common so its worth mentioning you dont really want to know why so dont ask

then there are the testicles or balls that i mentioned before these are about the size of a golf ball i guess im not really sure what the best troll analogue is there i guess if you imagine the size of an eyeball that is removed from someones socket its just a little bigger than that but again sometimes its different depending on the human

these are also covered in skin like the rest of the human and theyre not really important for the act of sex but they play a part in reproduction because inside is the males genetic material theyre pretty much just weird flesh sacks so its sort of boring but some humans like them being touched i dont know

lets skip over to the female sex organs so we can see how they fit together

females have the equivalent of a troll nook collectively referred to as the vagina which is composed of several parts they do not have a penis

essentially you have a hole much like a nook and around that hole are a few flaps of skin for protection i guess you cant just leave a hole uncovered its all sort of shaped like a clamshell if you turned it on its side or a sort of vertically oriented oval so the quote unquote tips of the oval are oriented toward the belly button and the waste chute respectively

at the top of the clamshell though still within the skin folds above the vaginal opening and just barely above the female urethra which is just another smaller hole with no sexual purpose is the clitoris this is the big one boys this is the doozy this is essentially the female penis or bulge except its only about as big as a pea and something like fifty thousand times more sensitive than a penis so tread carefully

unfortunately for most ladies the clitoris or clit for short isnt reproductively relevant its just sort of vestigial so while its great for pleasure it often goes neglected which sort of sounds like a shame if you ask me and probably more than half the human population

you might be wondering well if the human males have balls to hold the genetic material where is it on the female its on the inside

essentially the vagina is like a tube and at the end of the tube it narrows and theres a very small opening called the cervix which is where the vagina technically ends and past the cervix is the uterus which is like a balloon with two small deflated balloons attached on either side called the fallopian tubes and finally at the end of those deflated balloons are the ovaries and thats where the female genetic material is squirreled away like some sort of dragons hoard except the hoard is squishy little things called eggs and each egg holds all of the females genetic material

now again this is all on the inside

now lets get to the big shabang itself sex

if your planet doesnt use the word sex this is what youd call pailing and some parts of this might get sort of scandalous depending on how into pailing culture you are and if youre from alternia or beforus so im sorry if it makes you blush or makes you angry but youve been warned

sex occurs between all genders but the again the only kind of sex that has reproductive merit and can produce descendants is between someone with male sex organs and someone with female sex organs as described above

when a male becomes aroused and gets a boner he will then part the folds of the female and insert his penis into her vagina carefully because the vaginal opening is relatively small compared to the penis but fortunately its flexible and if the female is aroused it produces a lubricant sort of like pre material if everything goes well and the foreplay was good enough it shouldnt be painful though if the female hasnt done it before aka is a virgin it might take some time

the males genetic material which is called sperm or semen technically two different parts of the same liquid but people use them interchangeably goes through the cervix and into the uterus then it will go up the fallopian tubes where if the timing is right because the female reproductive system is not always ready and thats a whole other lesson i cant go into right now there will be an egg waiting

the genetic material of the male will attempt to merge with the genetic material of the female in the males ejaculate there are tons of little packets of genetic material thats the sperm i mentioned before and these little packets have tails on them which let them swim up to the egg and then attempt to break in like little horny thugs the egg will attempt to kill them so only the strongest reach the center

if one of the sperm is successful and of the millions and millions of sperm released in the semen only one usually ever makes all the way from the cervix to the egg the egg will be fertilized and then it will move down the fallopian tube and embed in the wall of the uterus

by then the sex is long over but the egg remains in the uterus for nine months longer if you dont know what a month is its basically a perigree so nine perigrees give or take a little and then a baby aka a grub comes out of the mother through the vagina

and thats human reproduction we do it ourselves because thats just the human way

Transformations

so this was created because i wanted a way to justify how different peoples gijinkas look very different in how similar to their dragon form they look and even like. in my own lair because like. pride and lorelei are two of my very few dragons with actual art of their gijinka forms and there’s a major difference in terms of how draconic they look. like have you seen them christ.

anyway the quick and dirty explanation is

different dragons have differing amounts on how many dragon features they keep when they transform

the ‘level’ is loosely based off the average of your parents, but like fingerprints exactly what is kept or not is completely unique. even identical twins will still have minor differences between their shifted forms

when it comes to the level of dragon kept, its a bell curve. most dragons fall somewhere in the middle and having a very low level or a very high level gets rarer depending on just how extreme it is. when a transformation is nice and like, even i guess is the word?, its referred to as a clean transformation. its possible for colors and or scales/feathers to show up in patches so if you dont have anything like that, its said to be clean. this is more common when referring to someone with a low level, but if you keep your scales/feathers and they cover everything youre high level but technically also clean, because they arent in patches

with a lot of time and effort, it is possible to change the level in your transformation, within reason. you aint hopping to the other end of the curve. its more common among royalty as they have the time and security in order to sit for hours/days at a time and concentrate on slowly changing things like evening out your complexion or something. while it will permanently stay once you change it, it however doesn’t carry over to offspring so even if your shifted form is a really low level because you changed it the level you had originally is what passes on. it then breeds gossip because “that hatchling’s transformation looks a little too dragon. are we sure its actually the child of that dragon quick does anyone have baby pictures of the supposed parents original level”

theres scholars who have dedicated their lives to researching transformation and if theres ways to determine what characteristics a hatchling will have based on their parents or being able to make that drastic hop to the opposite extreme without the assistance of illusion magic and stuff like that. theres then also massive arguments about what defines each level. “if they have wings theyre automatically a high level!” “well what if they have wings but everything else is clean and if they didnt have wings theyd be an extreme low huh what then” “FUCK OFF” theres a chart.. somewhat fairly well accepted by the community giving certain characteristics number.. weights? and then you add together the weights depending on what they have and how high the number is corresponds to a certain level. someone with a high score would be high level, low score low level, and then in the middle theres those who lean closer to one side and perfect middles and all that. very scientific

one is pretty self explanatory. when a dragon shifts to their smaller bipedal form, its almost never completely to what we as users would call humans. their hair might be an unnatural color, they might have claws, they might keep their crests/horns/whatever they have. dragons who change so completely you can tell Nothing about their breed or colors are so rare they sometimes end up being compared to the deities and worshiped. or sacrificed. depends on how the clan feels about low levels lol

two. how many dragon characteristics you keep depends on how much your parents keep. when a new dragon is born, the level they have in already an ingrained part of who they are, even if they never even shift in their life. no one looks exactly the same in their shifted form, because like fingerprints in humans the small truly defining characteristics are completely unique between dragon to dragon. you could have identical hatchlings in a clutch but when they transform, youd still be able to pick up tiny little differences here and there like thicker nails or sharper teeth or something. everyone is a special snowflake but actually true this time

three. more dragons have an average level than those with an incredibly low level or incredibly high level. like one, explanatory. and then clean is like i said before, no random patches of mismatched colors or feathers/scales. now if the dragon has piebald or poitox thats a different story but its kinda easy to tell between “oh they have poison” and then “smooth even tan- GIANT RED SPLOTCH”. relating to pride and lorelei again, youd think pride would be the clean one because he looks more human but its actually lorelei. her cherub markings cover her entire body while if you look closely at pride’s ‘freckles’ you can actually see its patches of color trying to break through and then on his lower body and stuff theres patches where you can just barely see the circuit showing through but its definitely there.

four. if one sits and concentrates and focuses their magic inward, they can change what is being expressed. when you live in a crowded place like a palace where its just not plausible for everyone to be fullsized all the time, a lot of importance starts being placed on how you look when in tiny fleshy form. if you live on a farm somewhere and you go to a place crowded enough you need to shift only like twice in your life, well then who gives a shit. a lot of the time one changes it to look lower leveled because its taken on a meaning of wealth and luxury. “hey i dont need to do anything so i dont need to keep my wings and my claws or anything in this form”. though there are rare instances one wants to look more like a dragon. the most common is imps. if they dont have a characteristic that quickly and obviously identifies them as an imperial, they change it so they do. most go antlers, since thats fairly unique and recognizable at a glance. its probably pretty obvious why an imp would want to be instantly recognized in an imp even when theyre shifted lol. and then theres some that do it for the #aesthetic because they think it loooks cool

five is again pretty self explanatory. there exists those who want to find out everything they possibly can about how dragons transform and how the characteristics you get are chosen and why pretty much everyone is born being able to do it etc etc. some go about it in more humane ways, getting volunteers to shift for them while they record everything down, but theres also those that kidnap dragons and force them to shift back and forth under various conditions and use pain to motivate them. and then theres also the fact shifting takes energy and magic and the more brutal among them will make dragons continue trying to shift even if they obviously suffering from severe lack of magic to study how low amounts of magic affect transformations. the community tends to shun the ones who conduct experiments like that, but theres the unfortunate fact that a lot of valuable information has been collected from them and really no one can say without lying that they havent used those studies in order to get ideas for their own experiments. “f-for science? ;-;”
