you know what? rip jadis thank you for your service to the plot. that human trafficking creep was their cuntiest and most interesting nemesis - i did love to hate that obsessive freak and appreciated the dimension she brought to the story and the exit they gave her was beautifully done, having her arc echo rick's, showing us the headspace he inevitably would've ended up in had michonne not been able to bring him back to himself? + "i wish i'd died an artist" *chef's kiss* storytelling! also pollyanna was just 10/10 throughout

I know not everyone’s was into Jadis/Ann’s plot points in the episode but I’m gonna be honest I’m a sucker for redemption arcs, even if they’re brief. And all the little details got me😭

She was trying to be so clear that she wasn’t Ann anymore. But even in her unwavering, she introduced herself as Jadis Stokes. Stokes. Gabriel’s last name. Even in trying to convince everyone that she was a different person, not the same, in creating a new name and a new life she picked the name of a very person from her old life, from the one she was claiming she wasn’t anymore. She was meeting with Gabriel each year, getting updates on the safety of her friends.

The line about wishing she could die the artist that she was. The reveal that she was the ones making the paintings for hilltop all along. I’m so glad she was able to be Ann, just for a moment, before she was gone.
