No but like i get it cause jaehyuk in slytherin is just right at the tip of the damn silver spoon and he does have a lot of traits that would contribute well as a slytherin like he's so charming as a person depsite seeming very normal at first and that is such a bonus for a slytherin cause most people say the snakes have to be like intimidating and superior looking but just imagine a slytherin so many people just like because hello?? Have you seen jaehyuk? He can be so sweet and gentle and oh so friendly but that same trait can also be used for a lot of things to gain him benefits

Thus, you're pretty spot on with him being a perfect match in slytherin but like i have a feeling that Jaehyuk would actually want to be in Gryffindor cause it represents things that sorta hit home to him? Like courage and beinng bold, like idk if you've watched Treasure box, but Jae went through some pretty mentally and emotionally harsh stuff but he legit could come back with a strong swing of his own so like idk Slytherin Jaehyuk is very tempting but i think the sorting hat would take in his personal choice of being a Gryffindor

I'm really happy that Jaehyuk made it into T5, he deserves it so much! I'm getting emotional just thinking about it 'cause he went through a lot to get where he is now and I coudn't be prouder 💙 We know he practices everyday to get better bit by bit and his hard work really paid off 💎

Just comparing the respons to his announcement in Treasure vs T5 is unreal. It shows how much he has improved and how fans just can't help but fall in love with his personality. Jaehyuk is emotional and caring and thoughtful. He loves the members so much and it shows in everything he does and says. How can you not love someone like that?

I just now rewatched Jaehyuk's graduation ep from TMap and I bet the people that didn't like him being a part of the line-up after YGTB, completely changed their mind after seeing that episode. Because not only does Jaehyuk love his members, they love him as well. From then on Teume put him close to their heart. Or at least, I know I did.

I truly believe Jaehyuk is one of the pillars of Treasure. When you have a group of 10 people, it's not only important to be good at performing, but also to like being in eachothers company constantly, conflict resolution, open conversation etc and Jaehyuk excels at that.

He is an amazing person and we are so lucky that he is a part of Treasure and now T5. He deserves all the good things that happen to him 💙

omg yaaay pls keep me posted on everything you check out! 💖 and i'm so glad you're also a dynamic / friendship enthusiast sjgknfj there are so many good ones in trsr ... i ended up writing so much again JKSGB and i still am like this is barely even scratching the surface 😂

they all went through a lot together with their survival show (yg treasure box aka ygtb aka my behated) but even before that, a few of them were trainees together for a really long time (hyunsuk, junkyu, yedam, jihoon, and doyoung in korea; yoshi, haruto, mashiho and asahi in japan). hyunsuk basically helped raise doyoung, that's how young he was when they started training together, they're still one of my favorite duos because of that. some of my favorite friendships that i think are like, very real / would exist outside of the context of the group: jihoon and junkyu (total soulmate same age friends, they are HILARIOUS together), jaehyuk and asahi (another same age pair, i think they really bring out the best in each other), haruto and asahi (literally could have had their own rooms but opted to share one instead so that they could make a hangout room and work on music together), and then jeongwoo and jaehyuk (these two are honestly more like actual brothers) -- and that unit of the 4 of them (0104 line!) are basically a functioning family lol they are ALWAYS together in some combination or another. i also love the friendship and dynamic between jihoon and hyunsuk as coleaders, i think it was so smart to have both of them leading the group, they complement each other really well and again there is so much mutual respect and a shared vision for the type of culture they wanted to create for the entire group. you can tell how much the other members look up to them 🥹 yoshi and hyunsuk are also a duo that are often together, junghwan is often with 0104 as well, i really miss yedam with doyoung and junkyu specifically, and mashiho with doyoung 🥲 jeongwoo and any of his hyungs is absolutely hilarious. asahi finding junkyu to be the funniest member is a fun fact that i really love also lol like it's kind of unexpected but it makes sense - there's a lot of little fun bits like that within a group so big.

i also recommend checking out their t-talks where they pair 2 members up to chat (they just rebooted this series with new videos recently, but there are older ones that are really fun to watch bc some of the pairs are still super awkward at the time lol), it's cool to see some duos that you don't normally see opting to hang out together. really any combination will give you something interesting -- if it's not besties or brotherhood, it's maybe an older member seeing themselves in a younger member (jihoon has said this of jaehyuk for example), or differing points of view have helped each other learn or see something in a new light and been helpful to them. and they're a pretty affectionate group too which is what my irl bestie really took to them for haha she said it was really refreshing to see a group of boys that was so openly loving like that -- i know this isn't necessarily unique to trsr because kpop is known for skinship, but she wasn't a kpop fan before i showed them to her, and the affection also encompasses their consideration for each other so it's not just about them being snuggly haha (although that is cute too)! many of them i really don't think would have ever been friends outside of the group honestly but one thing they have ALL done is worked hard to work together and understand each other to be one team 🥹

What if Della is in Ygtb? What will happen and what will be the interactions be like?

first off, there’ll probably be two girls since… odd numbered groups in yg are bad luck.. let’s say it’s della and alice, so a girl in treasure7 (or.. 8) and one in magnum

alice is most probably first rank in the second episode while della is fourth. so alice, junhyeok, jeongwoo then della. yang hyunsuk likes her rap and the way she flirts with the audience

her, alice and yedam are the trainees that everyone is scared of going against. della a bit more because she looks scary too. she would mostly stick with alice or another ‘03 female trainee

she got progressively closer to the other boys but she got especially close to jaehyuk after being paired with him, then to the DNA team members

for the finale, she would choose dance (because she can’t beat haruto..). she’ll win the fan vote but not yg’s vote (as much as he loves her) because he wanted to prioritise alice’s debut and he thought that he wanted only one girl in the group

the reason why magnum was created was for della to debut and she was the first member announced. she only got really close with the members after debut

same anon from before, and i'll just say an irl friend told me asahi/akari's story could be good to adapt (even though idk much about how it goes). that being said the pov thing is less "they've already met each other and grow close" and more like the trope in the link (https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TwoLinesNoWaiting). they're largely independent and contrast each other. it's to better emphasize it as a joint korean-japanese project (in my mind), kinda like produce 48.

because this is a magical girl show, the initial teams are very different to each other unlike the original ygtb. team a are the "creators": those who already have a career or something close to it in singing, rapping or dancing. team b are the "dreamers": those who want to be an idol (or something similar), but couldn't bring themselves to for whatever reason. team c are the "initiates": girls of a more traditional "magical girl selection age" that show potential. finally, team j are the "voyagers": a mix of all three that crossed the sea to participate.

if jihoon/jisoo's story was rough and deserves to be told, maybe it could be a proxy to the japanese protagonist bcz he's the best at japanese? he (or rather, his girl counterpart) could be the character to tie the two protagonists' storylines.

as for why they're girls? simply a force of habit. I can't not turn boy groups into girl groups in my mind.

finally: my adaptation is called "jewelbox" (a more accurate translation of the korean title), and the resulting group is called "gem circle" (a reference to the birthstone motif, since it forms something like a zodiac belt)

ooooh okay i see !! ive never read (or even seen actually) a story on here that has a survival show as its plot or inspiration so this is really original, and i like your idea with the different teams !! and yeah i agree with the jihoon thing, also he's said that jaehyuk reminded him of himself as a trainee a couple times, because they went through really similar things, so that could be something. and i love the name omg jewelbox and gem circle are so pretty !!

how would treasure react when you fall

i've decided to divide them in three groups because when i've started writing it i've realized i was being repetitive so this is an easier way to not get bored.

dramatic

members: hyunsuk, jaehyuk, yedam, junghwan, yoshi

the common point is that all of them act as if you've fallen off the highest skyscraper.

hyunsuk is the mom of the group so it's in his blood this protection feeling. you haven't touched the floor yet, but hyunsuk is already screaming your name and running to you. that boy is faster than the light. he asks you how you are with no pause, he's not breathing, he's only asking you until you answer him. probably after he sees you didn't hurt that bad he'll relax, but still he piggybacks you and will take care of you for the whole day.

jaehyuk doesn't scream your name, but he does a really big gasp. his reaction depends on the situation: if your fall hasn't been that dangerous, he'll help and piggyback you. but if you're really hurt, just prepare for a very nervous and hysteric jaehyuk. he doesn't want you to get hurt. he'll even try to call an ambulance, but you make sure you're okay. he'll take you home and cure your wounds.

yedam doesn't scream, doesn't run, but his heart drops. inside his mind there are many scenarios of what can happen next and what could happen if it was a worst fall. he gets anxious. he tries to help you get up and piggybacks you to the nearest chemist's to buy some things to cure you because he doesn't want to take you home until he treats your wounds.

junghwan is very young and in some ways it affects to his reaction. he doesn't know that well what to do, so he's not that dramatic because you've fallen, but more because it's a situation he can't control. he doesn't know that well how to treat a wound, so you indicate him what he has to do if you're really hurt. if it's nothing, both of you'll stay at the park until you can walk without problems.

yoshi always treats you as if you're made of glass, so when you fall... oh my god. he treats you like a baby, maybe he doesn't make a scene, but he's dramatic in the way he treats you after the fall. he asks you hundred times how you're feeling and makes sure you can walk. he knows how to handle the situation, he's really mature and is used to take care of people. he'll make sure to take you home safely and he'll make your favourite meal and will stay with you until you feel better or you fall asleep.

laughs

members: jihoon, junkyu, jeongwoo, haruto

jihoon is jihoon. he obviously is one of the sweetest boy, but he always makes jokes. so when you fall, he can't help but starting to joke about the situation. obviously he does it because 1) he knows you don't mind and 2) it makes you feel more calm and not that embarrassed because you also laugh of the situation. he also reminds you how clumsy you are and that you should start being more careful because one day you'll end up in the hospital.

junkyu is a mess of giggles. first of all, before he starts laughing, he makes sure you're not that hurt. he knows you don't mind and don't feel offended. his laugh is even contagious. probably your face is super red and you're so embarrassed, but the moment you hear junkyu's laugh you can't control yours. so both of you're on the floor and you're laughing and crying at the same time and you don't know if it's because of laughing so much or because it hurts. but he'll help you, for sure, and he looks like the kind of people that would kiss your wound (when it's treated).

jeongwoo starts laughing because he's nervous. he looks like that kind of people that laugh when they're nervous or awkward. so he's like more embarrassed than you actually are. he always jokes about how he must become a doctor because you just can't take care of yourself, you're too clumsy for this life. to be honest, he loves being by your side and spending time with you because everything is better and happier so you falling is a good excuse for that.

haruto is so used to it that he doesn't react anymore when you fall, he just laughs. he always things 'how i ended up meeting with the clumsiest person of this universe?'. and he makes sure to remind you that. after the incident he doesn't talk about it, but when you look at him and he does the same, the scene of you falling cross his mind and he starts laughing. but let's think about what would happen if you're very hurt: he changes so much. you don't recognize him. it doesn't matter your age, you'll feel younger than him because he handles the situation and he shows how mature he can be.

neutral

members: asahi, mashiho, doyoung

doyoung is like a combination of dramatic, neutral and laughs, but he doesn't make a scene and he has the situation under control. before helping you to get up probably he tells you to be more careful while smiling. he doesn't laugh because he knows you're embarrassed, but inside of him he found the situation funny, but if you were badly hurt the scenario would change. completely. he wouldn't say anything and would piggyback you to the hospital.

mashiho is the sweetest boy. he'll try to have the situation under control as much as he can so you don't feel more nervous (especially if you see you're bleeding). he knows everything and he knows you perfectly because this isn't the first time you fall in his presence, so he knows how you react and what you're feeling. if you were taking a walk, he'll piggyback you until you're at home and then he'll make you some meal and will buy you your favourite snack to make you feel better.

asahi is just a neutral person, he knows how to control his emotions without people noticing it so if you fell, he'll have the calmest reaction, he won't even have any expression on his face. i think asahi is the type of person that expresses his feelings with actions more than words. so he won't say anything, but he'll immediately help you to get up and then he'll buy you your favourite snack because he knows you're embarrassed and a little bit hurt.

i tried to make it as less repetitive as i could, i hope you like it. if there's some grammatical mistakes, i'm sorry, i didn't have time to correct it with the app. and tbh, this is like the longest thing i've written in english (except when i had english homework) so i'm quite nervous.

Bc that was my immediate thought esp if it was determined by looks. also I had no idea they were supposed to be 2 units originally that's interesting I'm kinda happy they're not bc unit based groups are harder for me to keep up with (like nct ejdhsjsj ) but doing a unit for a specific cb could be cool!! i think the like weirdest thing abt why they DIDN'T end up being units is because 1 guy left before debut like . as 13 they were going to be 2 units but as 12 they were like you know what ... JKDGJH like when ygtb wrapped, treasure was 7 (hyunsuk, junkyu, jaehyuk, yedam, jeongwoo, haruto, junghwan) -- but then they announced they were bringing back 6 other contestants as a second unit that was called magnum (😭) and that was jihoon, yoshi, mashiho, asahi, and doyoung + the 6th member is the one who left the group before they ever became what would have been 'treasure 13'. so that's your trsr lore of the day LOL i'm really glad that they ended up just combining the groups bc those units i feel like would have had. the weirdest dynamics ???? anyways . yes pls come and yell with me !!! i want teublr to come back to life kajbdgjhb
