My hc is that he wasn't in Lazytown during the Show was because he was over in Iceland training to be a hero lol

I imagine him coming back to be Sportacus' succesor and being a bit of a nuisance to him... I think it would be pretty fitting

Ok, so I was watching The LazyTown Circus and had two ideas on what Jives could have done if he was in the show. 1.- He'd just be watching the circus shinanigans with Milford and Bessie 2.- He'd be the Lion and is just really good at doing animal sounds. Hence why Robbie said "Could you hold this?"

I think we need more radical acceptance that some people dislike us for reasons that make sense for their life experience. and we need to do this in a way that doesn't paint us as misunderstood victims because the fact of the matter is everyone is annoying to someone. you can't avoid that. and if someone is annoyed by you they aren't wrong about you being annoying and unlikable to them. the sooner we accept this the sooner we accept ourselves. we don't even like ourselves most of the time so why should we expect other people to uncritically enjoy every aspect of us regardless of our own internal struggle with our own extreme contrasts

say it with me everybody: personal health is completely immaterial to morality, including mental health. leading a mentally unhealthy lifestyle (or what you perceive as a mentally unhealthy lifestyle) does not a bad person make. no one has to socialize, exercise, have healthy coping mechanisms, or lead (what you perceive as) a fulfilling life with fulfilling hobbies in the same way that no one has to go to the doctor to get a broken bone reset. both of those types of management of personal health are likely to be beneficial to the individual, but they are in no way moral requirements or debts owed to society. they do not actually say anything about a person's principles, personality, or actions towards others. additionally, people know themselves and their own situations better than you do. maybe a person judges that the physical and financial toll of going to the doctor outweigh the benefit of getting their bone reset, maybe a person just does not have the capacity to develop healthy coping mechanisms at this point in their life, and yes, maybe a person feels like they are totally fulfilled by "media based" hobbies alone and would feel no difference in their life if they picked up a loom. just like. let people be sick without accusing them of being representative of the lazy, degenerated state of modern society.

Okay, I did some more sketches of Jives, and imma tell you about some of my hcs:

• He's number 13 (mainly because it's an unlucky number, and I think it's funny if he would be a bit clumsy as well).

• He's the first human who gets to be a numbered hero.

• He's in his mid-20s, and Sportacus is in his 50s. He's getting too old. That's why he trains him to be the next hero.

• During the duration of the show, he was over in Iceland training to become a hero. So the events are fitting into the "canon."

I adore the slightly lighter coloured fur you put under Vascos eyes and the slightly darker fur just around his beauty marks, it's so cool to see these little details in your art. Vasco is a favourite of mine <3

Ah, thank you! I had been wondering if anyone ever noticed the lighter color under his eyes. I always add it there but it's so subtle it often gets drowned out by lighting overlays or other late color adjustments. But I think it adds a little bit of openness to his face and makes his eyes pop, especially when paired with the darker upper lids.

#also noticing that his colors vary quite a bit from piece to piece #I usually don't bother color picking the exact shades I just go with whatever seems closest to his looks in my head #and what jives well with the overall palette of the specific piece #and that's normal #colors look different in varying lighting conditions sometimes he's very yellow or orange and sometimes more muted caramel or tan #as long as the darker gradients are present and visible I'm way more concerned with how well you can see those #answered #anonymous #Vasco

As much as I love to joke about Astarion being pathetic I don't actually think he is. He's sad and wet, but he is also one of the heaviest hitters. I think he just feels weak & pathetic and externalizes it, which then kinda makes him seem more powerless than he actually is.
