"Heat of the Moment" is a song by English progressive rock group Asia from their debut album.  Released as a single on March 28, 1982 it quickly climbed the charts worldwide, eventually peaking at #4 in both Canada and the US (#1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart), #2 in Switzerland and #7 in Germany.
The song was written by singer and bass guitarist John Wetton and keyboardist Geoff Downes. It had been the last track recorded for the album. John Kalodner of Geffen asked the band for a single: Wetton had an idea for the chorus and Downes had an idea that made the verse and they wrote the song in an afternoon. The line "You catch a pearl and ride the dragon's wings" was inspired by Roger Dean's artwork for the album.

Album Number Four Hundred Eighty One. “Double Vision” is the second studio album by #foreignerband , released on 20 June 1978 by #atlanticrecords . Recorded between December 1977 and March 1978, it was Foreigner's only album co-produced by #keitholsen and the last recording with bass guitarist #edgagliardi who would be later replaced by Rick Wills. My copy is on Atlantic Records - SD 19999. #doublevision was the first in the line of many other recordings in which A&R executive #johnkalodner would simply have his name listed twice in liner notes, as a play on the title of this album. The phrase "John Kalodner: John Kalodner" originated when the producer Olsen was wondering just how to credit Kalodner's involvement in the band and the album. In keeping with the double vision theme, guitarist #mickjones came up with an idea of doubling the name. Mick Jones takes the lead vocals on "Back Where You Belong" and "I Have Waited So Long". Add’l photo is the original cover art by #normanseeff . The band is in the French Quarter in New Orleans, in front of the Market Place Produce Company #81 French Market Place. #rock #rockandroll #theseventies #lougramm #ianmcdonald #algreenwood #denniselliott https://www.instagram.com/p/CpAvOo7OzXg/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

LITTLE CAESAR Lead Vocalist Ron Young Releases His Autobiography "Judge This Book By Its Cover"
Ron Young, lead vocalist of LITTLE CAESAR, shares his story about getting signed by Geffen Records, having Jimmy Iovine and John Kalodner in your corner, Bob Rock producing your debut album and a tour opening for KISS and how having all of that still didn’t guarantee success in the music business. As one review on Amazon states, “Probably the most honest book about the music business.” Ron Young…

Sammy Hagar has more than 20 tracks left over from his breakthrough album Standing Hampton, but he's worried that he might lose them if he tries to play the old tapes.
The 1982 LP made Hagar's name, but only after A&R icon John Kalodner told him to keep working until he had 20 top-quality songs to deliver.
In a conversation with UCR, Hagar confirms that he has unreleased material from that time.
“The problem is that it’s probably on frickin’ cassette tapes, you know. Or maybe a DAT tape and I don’t think there’s a machine that would play it," he explains. “If I found an old cassette tape that said it had 10 songs that I’ve never heard on it, I’d be scared to death to play it, because I’d lose it! It would be like. ‘Oh no, it ate the fucker!’ So I don’t know. I’d probably go to a professional and have it b aked, and all of that stuff.”
At least two relatively unknown Hagar songs from the '80s have been released as B sides, titled "Don't Get Hooked" and "Satisfied."
youtube
He says there were “20 songs minimum” to be recovered from his tapes – “maybe more. God, I used to just write all of the time," Hagar admits. "I mean, I can think of some now. A song called ‘Me and My Woman’ right off the top of my head. ‘Saturday Night in the USA’ is one that was pretty cool. All of these almost made a record. It’s crazy – you’ve got me thinkin’ now.”
Hagar has credited producer Keith Olsen with shaping the Standing Hampton project. “You put me in a room, I can just keep writing songs, some better than others,” Hagar said in a 1982 interview with Sounds. “But because I wrote them, I can't see the value right away, if one's better than the other. I need some outsider to say, ‘Wait a minute, that's a piece of shit, that ain't for you,' and that's what Keith [did].”
It was a new experience for Hagar. Before working with Olsen, he’d “write 10 songs, think they were all good, and make an album.” As a result, some of Hagar earlier tracks “never had much feeling,” he admitted. “But Keith, every time I played guitar or every time I did the best I [could], he said, ‘No, no, no – I've heard you sing much better. Start again.’ … See, a good producer knows with an artist like me, givin' 100% all the time, I don't know if it's good or bad.”

Mick Jagger reveals who came up with the stunt. “I think it was actually Charlie’s idea. Jazz, in the old days in Harlem… they used to do promotions for their gigs on flatbed trucks. Every time we try to do a piece of promotion now, we always refer back to that as the best one.”

Deconstruct In Search of New Front-Man!
The story runs deep with Deconstruct. An aggressive, in your face, heavy rock/modern metal band comprised of the brutal, grungy groove oriented guitar riffs of Joe Fraulob (ex-Danzig), the powerful, deep, head-spinning bass lines of Bobby Real (ex-Dedvolt), the bone crushing drums of Tom Frost (ex-Luxt) and vocalist MC Droze’s intense growling and often melodic vocals. Yeah, this band has got it going on … A solid timeline of success, expanded musicianship and continually evolving into a “Post Apocalyptic” Metal genre!
Deconstruct is currently seeking a new front-man to fill the void after original singer Droze moved to another state. MC Droze will be missed and his latest contribution to the soon to be released LP Ashen Empire is nothing short of incredible. “We wish him the best with all his endeavors,” says Fraulob. The full-length album has been recorded, engineered and produced by Joe Fraulob, and mixed by top renowned industry pro, Juan Urteaga of Trident Studios (Testament, Machine Head). Management has been secured under Frankie James (Culture Rock). Professional videos have also been produced by Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art (see video for “Machine” below) and award winning film-maker Josh Pierson and are ready to be released once the timing is right!
youtube
The Deconstruct foundation can be traced to guitarist Joe Fraulob’s 2001 courtship with Columbia Records, when his prior band, Side-Swipe, was targeted by the A&R team of John Weakland (Union Underground) and the legendary John Kalodner (Aerosmith). Once the label threw Side-Swipe into the mix of different producers and spent upwards of $30,000 on demos, the band knew they were on to something big. Ultimately, Columbia felt the demos that Fraulob produced at his own studio were the best, which gave Fraulob and the band the confidence to trust their instincts musically, and to fight for their own path. This gave way to the birth of Deconstruct with Fraulob writing for his new project to include an uncompromising vision for a new sound – dark and heavy yet melodic and dynamic – ready for the radio, but powerful enough to crush skulls in a live setting. Fraulob recorded the first Deconstruct demo at his own studio the Pus Cavern where Fraulob had spent the last decade developing his engineering chops recording Sacramento heavyweights such as The Deftones and began to send this demo out to industry pros. After hearing the demo, David Draiman and Dan Donegan of Disturbed personally chose Deconstruct as opener for their Music As A Weapon 2 tour where Deconstruct’s first show was opening for Disturbed, Chevelle, and Taproot in front of an audience of 5000. Immediately, the band’s prowess as a live act was recognized, and Bill Graham Presents placed the band on several amphitheater shows (Iron Maiden, Dio, and Motorhead at Sleep Train Amphitheater; and Def Leppard at Irvine Meadows). While building their reputation as one of the West Coast’s most hard hitting live acts, Deconstruct began making headway in the world of Rock Radio. The band’s debut EP “Sign Of Things To Come” received play nationwide, enabling Deconstruct to expand their touring base. The work paid off, resulting in more high profile shows with a diverse array of acts including Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd, Drowning Pool, Death Angel, Helmet, and Hed PE. The band’s second EP, a sampler of tracks from their forthcoming album, received radio play on over 100 stations. The single “Time Kills” was added to heavy rotation on commercial station WOBX (98X) in North Carolina. Deconstruct also became the only unsigned band to ever receive play on KRXQ in Sacramento’s “Smash or Trash” receiving a 100% listener “Smash” rating. Deconstruct was definitely on the rise and was then chosen by multi-platinum act Korn as main stage openers for the Korn, Chevelle, and Breaking Benjamin concert at Arco Arena in Sacramento, CA. After 2 successful U.S. tours promoting the first Deconstruct album The Human Condition, Fraulob joined the legendary multi-platinum act Danzig as touring lead guitarist for an incredible 2 year run after which Deconstruct took a hiatus. In 2017 Fraulob joined the legendary Bay Area Metal group Trauma and ended up producing and recording their 2019 album As The World Dies. Recording and touring with Trauma inspired Fraulob to reboot Deconstruct to record a new album then to follow up with more main-stage appearances. The crushing new album, Ashen Empire, features long-time Deconstruct members Fraulob, drummer Tom Frost, and vocalist MC Droze, with additional appearances by drummers Darren Minter (Heathen) and Kris Gustofson (Trauma), and bassist Greg Christian (Testament).
Which brings us to the present, 2021 sees Deconstruct with the strongest, hardest hitting, most talented line-up yet. With Fraulob at the helm with his brutal guitar mastery, the thundering super bassist Bobby Real and one of the best drummers in NorCal, Tom Frost, on board, Deconstruct is firing on all cylinders. All three bring their extensive experience to the table to create a sound that is current but unique, extremely heavy yet mesmerizingly melodic and memorable. There’s no doubt success will once again be risen out of the ashes!! A pro studio and practice room has been built, a new album recorded and mastered, extensive press ready to go out and Deconstruct is tour ready!
youtube
However, with the loss of their singer MC Droze, this greatness can’t continue until that void is replaced, so Deconstruct is now placing a call to action to all professional “qualified & stage seasoned” vocalists to front this dynamically structured band. Qualified applicants respond at the email below to arrange an audition.

1974-11-24, Mike Garson, Bruce, Tony Visconti and David Bowie in the control room of
Sigma Sound Studios, Philadelphia during Bowie’s “Young Americans” album recording session.
THE STORY:
Bowie was working on a cover of Bruce’s “It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City” which he had started in late 1973, and hoped to get Bruce involved. Earlier in the week, producer Tony Visconti called Philadelphia DJ Ed Sciaky at WMMR and asked him if he could get Bruce into the studio. Sciaky got in contact with Bruce who caught a bus from New Jersey to Philadelphia, where Ed and Judy Sciaky found him "hanging with the bums in the station.” At midnight he arrived at Sigma.
The episode was reported the next day: Bowie meets Springsteen, The Drummer
Bowie (1997): “Springsteen came down to hear what we were doing with his stuff. He was very shy. I remember sitting in the corridor with him, talking about his lifestyle, which was a very Dylanesque – you know, moving from town to town with a guitar on his back, all that kind of thing. Anyway, he didn't like what we were doing, I remember that. At least, he didn't express much enthusiasm. I guess he must have thought it was all kind of odd. I was in another universe at the time. I've got this extraordinarily strange photograph of us all – I look like I'm made out of wax.”

Damned If You Do von Ted Nugent
Yes I Can von Styx
Shine On und We Are The Ones nahm Jack Blades auf sein gleichnamiges Soloalbum
Das dritte Album der Damn Yankees was originally published on The Art 2 Rock

Album Number Twelve “Permanent Vacation” is the ninth studio album by Aerosmith, released in August 1987 by Geffen Records. (My first batch of their albums was during my school years. Personally, I wasn’t the most interested with later albums. Things did change a little later in the early #mtvmusic years.) My copy is on #geffenrecords - GHS 24162. The album marked a turning point in the band's career. It was their first to employ songwriters outside the band, instead of featuring songs solely composed by them. This came at the suggestion of executive John Kalodner. He also pushed the band to work with producer Bruce Fairbairn, who remained with them for another two albums. It was also the first #aerosmith album to be promoted by heavy music video airplay on MTV. Though Done with Mirrors was intended to mark Aerosmith's comeback, #permanentvacationalbum is often considered their true comeback, as it was the band's first truly popular album since their reunion. "Rag Doll", #dudelookslikealady and "Angel" became major hits (all three charted in the Top 20) and helped Permanent Vacation become the band's greatest success in a decade. #rockandroll #theeighties #steventyler #joeperry https://www.instagram.com/p/COae3qJrYrZ/?igshid=mutf70bxhfue
