Title: A Ridiculous Art Masterpiece: The Mad Tea Party’s Creative Catastrophe
Characters:
Mad Hatter
March Hare
Dormouse
Queen of Hearts
Oliver Anthony Music
(Scene: The Mad Tea Party is gathered around a table set with mismatched teacups, plates, and a chaotic array of art supplies. They excitedly discuss the latest art headlines.)
Mad Hatter: (adjusting his top hat) Oh my dear fellows, have you…
I love his show 'Last Week Tonight' but, sadly, like almost EVERYTHING out there it always starts 'The USA's government (federal, state, local) is broken' but then usually ends 'voting will fix it all.' If it did, why hasn't it worked yet?
Anyways, last night he did a whole piece on his home country, Britain, and in specific, the monarchy.
I swear to god, if I was a super powerful dictator, I would have him killed for this. He went ALL OUT against his birth place! Stuff I don't think you could easily google even.
And the entire time I am learning how evil they truly are, all I am thinking is 'Why are you not this scathing with the USA? Is it because that's where you live/profit from now?'
It's just funny for how harsh he was on his ruling class back home I wish he was that harsh on the ruling class of his CURRENT home.
I am a Politico. I consume news from multiple sources. From #RolandMartin to #BenjaminDixon. From #AmyGoodman to #GeorgiaFort. From #JohnOliver to #AmberRuffin. From #RachelMaddow to #TiffanyCross. This wide spectrum of reporting and perspective not only informs but shines a bright light on the human condition and the systems that impact our lives from the past and into the future. #TheCrossConnection was one of my favorite shows. Similar to #RolandMartinUnfiltered and #TheBPDMorningShow from years past, there were just some many knowledgeable guests and stories that highlighted my community. I remember when Tiffany started the hashtag #CrossTalk. Laying the digital path and support for her MSNBC show. I ONLY watched and listened (via SiriusXM) to MSNBC on Saturdays to catch her show. PERIOD! We need fighters for truth. We need the kinds of perspectives, voices, and information that these journalists bring to the forefront. There is just too much at stake. I look forward to the next iteration of #CrossTalk, but I cannot act like this doesn’t hurt. #news #politics #blackvoices ——————————————— #Repost from @tiffanydcross https://www.instagram.com/p/CkkvVcwudKM/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
Most criminal cases are actually won by the prosecution but you'd never know that when watching defense attorney based shows.
C.S.I. shows tell us how incredibly good police departments are at getting the evidence they need to convict, but you don't see that level of success with the Northern New Jersey office of the FBI on The Sopranos.
The district attorney's office does not work FOR the police detective squad, nor do they generally cower before them, unless you are a fan of N.Y.P.D. Blue.
On Dragnet the LA Police department walked on water.
Perry Mason had the luxury of not only winning all but 3 cases but discovered his clients were indeed innocent via court room confessions of the real killer(s).
