007 Fest 2023 / Headcanon Day

Paloma is Felix’s daughter. 

She’s what, 28, maybe 30? He’s Bond’s age or older, so early 50s. 

He probably spent a night or had a brief fling with Paloma’s mother in Cuba, and Paloma grew up there. But Felix visited. He cared. 

His work intrigued her. She looked up to him. 

She gives Bond a cigar to give to Felix. She seems excited about the prospect of him receiving the gift. Like it meant something. It’s intimate, in a very Father’s Day kind of way. If she knows what he likes to smoke to relax, then she knows him in a personal capacity. Felix doesn’t relax in front of anyone. 

Bond seems to catch onto this, or already know it. He tries to keep Felix alive by telling him there’s a cigar from Paloma waiting for him. 

When Felix says James will have to smoke it instead, what he’s actually saying is “you take care of her now.”  

This may also be why for the very first time, there wasn’t any sexual tension between Bond and this specific Bond Girl. 

Felix was very very proud of Paloma.

Most Fuckable Bond

I want to know what the general consensus is regarding the fuckability of all the Bonds. For this exercise, I'm imagining that you would envision each actor at their prime in the role. Basically, you should consider each one at their most fuckable, to see where you would rank them. And to be clear, this isn't meant to be reflective of anything about the Bonds other than fuckability. So, not the quality of the movies, or their performances, etc. Well, I suppose their performances will factor insofar as it affects the amount in which you want to fuck them.

For me it ranks:

Brosnan, Craig, Moore, Connery, Lazenby, Dalton (sorry Tim)

Felix Friday Reflections :(

Was anyone else COMPLETELY RUINED by Felix Leiter’s

death in No Time To Die that when Bond was killed off, it felt less... hurtful? offensive? surprising? 

I’m not over what happened to Felix. I cried so hard. Still remember how wet my face mask was in the movie theater. It was shocking and tragic and James had to WITNESS it like he watched Vesper go... like damn, how could ya’ll do this??????

Bond got this whole 2.75 hour buildup to his demise. Felix’s end was much more impactful because it just came out of NOWHERE and we watched the protagonist try and save him, then avenge him, and mourn him... I mean Felix’s death destroyed a part of James Bond that he could never get back. 

Until Jeffrey Wright, Felix Leiter was basically the funny American buddy cop in the franchise. Wright gave him emotional depth which suggested a rich backstory. I loved the chemistry between him and Daniel Craig. It honestly worked better than most Bond girls >.>
