#kakashi doesn’t want to be a shinobi

Kakashi: *shows countless times in canon he cares about his students and wants to train them, but a lot of that training is outright skipped for ‘more interesting storyline’
Weirdo’s: nah, Kakashi didn’t teach any of his student’s anything and didn’t care about them at all.
#like god DAMN#Y’all can’t handle an imperfect teach can you?#you can’t handle a character who makes mistakes but genuinly tried his hest#who was thrown into the job even though he did not ask for it#and STILL did his best#‘he doesn’t care about sakura’#WHY THE FUCK WOULD HE PROTECT HER AND CONTINUE TO SAVE HER IN ALMOST EVERY FIGHT IF HE DIDN’T CARE#‘he didn’t teach sakura anything’ yes the FUCK he did#he taught her chakra control which she obv excelled at#and a jonin level technique that allowed her to avoid being knocked out in the konoha crunch#and allowed her to wake Naruto up as well#‘he only ever tried to push his views on Sasuke’#no he didn’t#he only told Sasuke to stop seeking revenge when sasuke turned chidori#a move kakashi taught him to face a shinobi with an impenatable defence that WANTED TO KILL PEOPLE#there is a whole year before that where he knows Sasuke’s goal and never once tells him not to seek revenge#and him not being able to connect with Sasuke doesn’t mean his intentions were not genuine#sometimes people simply don’t understand each others trauamas and struggles#even when they desperatly want to#‘he was terrible to naruto’ fucking WHERE#He chose a specific sensei to teach Naruto chakra control#recogbizing it as Naruto’s weakness#and chose a dude who was a jonin specificlly because of his teaching capabilities#as for the fucking time skip#it’s made vary obviouse even before the team splits that Kakashi and all the other Jonin are on missions constantly#that’s the whole reason Shikamaru and a bunch of genin were sent after sasuke#instead of you know#FUCKING JONIN#None of the jonin were available#they were all on missions

word count: 10K 💀💀
18+ MDNI !!!!!
You stood in front of the hokage, heart beating out of your chest. You were nervous, that much was obvious. However you couldn’t wrap your head around why you were summoned. Lady Tsunade finished writing her last few words into her notes, stapling them together and setting them aside to address you.
“You must be wondering why I’ve sent for you,” she started, sitting up in her seat. Her face was somber.
“I can’t say you’re wrong.”
“What I’m about to tell you is something only a very select few know about.” Tsunade started, hands clasped together on the desk. “We’re about to go to war.”
You were shocked- was Kakashi really telling the truth?! Was he right all along?! Your emotions were everywhere and it was evident on your face.
“I know, I know it’s a lot to take in. I myself am not sure if I’ve taken it in yet.” She seemed stressed, you could see the worry behind her soft brown eyes.
“Lady Tsunade… who are we at war with?”
“My dear who aren’t we at war with?” She sadly laughed to herself. “Truth be told we’re fighting against a greater force than we know. I hate to say this but we’re looking at a fourth great ninja war.“ Your eyes widened, body filled with anxiety.
“A fourth great war? Are you serious?”
“I’m as serious as death. In fact, there’s going to be a five kage summit soon and I’ll need to attend to talk about said war.”
“So… The war isn’t with the other nations? I mean… if there’s going to be a summit with all five nations, doesn’t that mean neither is the threat?” You asked, still confused.
“Exactly.”
“Then who’s the threat?”
“I can’t discuss that with you.”
“Then why have I been summoned Lady Tsunade? If you can’t tell me who the enemy is tell me what I’m here for.” You were starting to get angry, worried for what you’d been told previously.
“You need to fight in this war.” Tsunade said plainly. “With medical jutsu like yours we would be idiots not to use you. I’m telling you now that we’re not asking you to enlist, but rather we are drafting.” Kakashi was right.
You couldn’t believe him, it was impossible to. How could this be happening? It wasn’t long since you’ve been here and already you’re being drafted in the war. It was exactly how Kakashi had told you, no denying it. This is your job, what you were sent to do, the only thing you know how to do, so damn right you’re going to use your blessing to help all you can.
“I’m well aware of my capabilities my lady, and in fact I find it a great honor to be drafted by you personally.”
“You’re taking this a lot better than I thought you would, I must thank you for that.” She sighed a relieved breath, hand clutching her chest.
“I have no other choice but to. This is what I signed up for when moving to Konoha. I decided the day I learned my first medical justu I would help the world become a better place. If you hadn’t drafted me I would’ve signed up myself. It’s my duty, this is my home.” Your words moved Tsunade, she smiled softly at you. Her face dropped suddenly.
“I’m glad you believe that, and I’m glad to have someone like you be so ready for whatever is to come, really I am. But because you’re going to be in the war I need to to preserve your chakra. Because of this, I forbid you from working at the hospital.” She looked away from you, knowing she didn’t want to see the determination wash away from your face in real time.
“Are you… are you firing me?”
“I’m afraid so. I cant have you waste any of your precious chakra on a few sick patients when we are going to have armies full of injured shinobi on the front lines. We have enough medical personnel at the hospital already, so with you being as high ranked as you are we must save you for the battlefield. You understand don’t you?”
“Lady Tsunade what more do I have other than my job? How long will it be until we are in war? I-I can’t be out of work that long.”
“I’m sorry but my hands are tied.” Her voice was almost as sad as yours, she worriedly watched as your eyes started to well with tears.
“Please my lady. Don’t do this to me.” She got up from her desk and walked over to you, hugging you tightly against her.
“It’s going to be alright, I promise. I just need you to rest up. We’ll be destroyed without you, please just trust me.” You hugged eachother until you could calm down, you wiped any tears that fell and stepped aside.
“Lady Tsunade I have a request to make.”
“What is it dear?”
“I want to go home. Back to my village and see my parents one last time before I go to war. I think it’s only reasonable to see them one last time, as me coming home alive and well is uncertain.” Tsunade stepped back and looked at you, a hand draped softly on your shoulder.
“I accept the request. How long will you be gone?”
“Probably under a week.”
“Then so be it. You’re dismissed.”
You walked out of the office and back home with an intense sadness inside of you. You gave up on Kakashi because you loved your job. Now your job has been stolen from you and it was all for nothing. Everything that had given you value- that had given you purpose- is now gone. You wondered if you should even return home or not.
You decided it would be a good idea if you told your friends Machi and Gale you’d be gone for the next few days, back at home until you decided you needed to come back. They understood and wished you well on your journey.
Kakashi was a mess, thinking about how poorly he treated you during your sexcapade, saying he hated you and fucking you so roughly he wasn’t sure if he had hurt you or not. Who care if he did? You hurt him worse. You hurt him in a way nobody else has. How could you treat him like he was somebody only to leave him like he was nothing? At least, that’s how he saw it.
Business at The Poison Sandwich was slow today, maybe the sadness was in the air. Kakashi ate his BLT, thoughts of you racing through his head. Even up until he heard your name uttered by the two girls you held dearly as friends.
“So she went back home.” Gale said to the cook behind the counter.
“I’ve been thinking about visiting a few of the sandwich shops in her village for a while now actually.” Percy smiled from behind the counter.
“Wait… she went back?” Kakashi interrupted, unsure if he heard right.
“Yeah, yesterday. Said she’s be back in a few days.” Machi said, looking over at Percy. “He said he was going to go the her village pretty soon to try out the food there.”
“Is this true Percy?” Kakashi asked his friend, who nodded as he discarded his white apron.
“Yeah. Why?”
“Can I come?” Kakashi asked, cursing himself. What was he thinking?
“Well as long as you don’t have any other plans for the rest of the day, I see no problem. I’m heading off now, so get ready.” Percy said, untying his apron and tossing it on a nearby countertop. “Ladies, you don’t mind closing shop for me, do you?”
And of course, as enamored with the man as they were, had zero issue and took care of business as he and Kakashi took off.
_____________
Kakashi was shocked to see the strange motorized bike that Percy had built, looking it up and down in shock and awe at the mechanism.
“What is this, if I may ask?”
“Well I’m not a shinobi like you so getting around to long distances isn’t easy for me. I built this myself as a way to make the trips easier.” Percy said, tossing Kakashi a black helmet. Kakashi caught it and reluctantly adorned it, his silver hair peeking out from underneath.
As Percy started the machine Kakashi sat in the back behind him, pondering why he had felt the need for such an impromptu visit to your hometown. He didn’t know why he felt this way, especially after the way you had treated him. Once again he felt alone, abandoned by your heartlessness and eager mindset to go fight off in a war that he felt would mame and kill you the second you had your back turned to the enemy.
“Kakashi… what’s been going on with you?” Percy asked, snapping Kakashi out of the trance he found himself in.
“I’m sorry?” He asked, puzzled at his friends sudden questioning.
“Listen... Gale, Machi, and I all know about your secret affair. And we don’t care- we support it honestly. But ever since you two have had a falling out… we’ve noticed a change.” Percy’s voice was somber as he drove throughout the thick forest, focused on the destination while his heart was stuck in the conversation. Kakashi was silent a moment, his mind was racing. Was it safe to tell his friend the truth? To let the secrets of his beloved lay out in front of someone who was only watching from the outside?
“I’m not sure I understand,” he replied monotoned. His outside demeanor was cool, but anyone who really knew what was going on inside his mind could tell the intricacies of his tone, picking up the way his voice would lilt anxiously as he declared this inquiry.
“Well I’m sure you do, so don’t play dumb with me Hatake,” Percy snapped, he wasn’t playing games- Kakashi was sure of this now.
“Well what do you want me to tell you? Sometimes people don’t work out the way they meant to, we don’t have control over these things. All you need to know is that me and her are… we’re complicated.”
“Bullshit.” Kakashi was taken aback.
“What are you talking about?” The wind was blowing through his hair, headband threatening to blow off his eye. He held it tight, looking at his thighs for avoidance.
“I’m talking about your seriously psychotic desire for control. You’ve wanted her from the moment you met her, haven’t you?” Percy asked, revving the engine of his bike.
“More than anything…” Kakashi admitted, vision still remained on his thighs.
“And ever since then, what have you done?”
Kakashi thought about it for a moment. What had he done? He had fucked you on his desk, broken into your home and stolen your underwear, touched you while you slept, fucked you at work, fucked you on missions- gods... the list could only go on.
“I’ve done all I could.” He clutched his fists, hating how horribly his stomach churned. “And yet it still wasn’t enough.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean that my love for her has consumed me, my body, brain, and soul. She’s all I think about- ever. She’s everything, and everywhere. No matter what time of day or night, I can feel her down to the very air I breathe. I’ve tried for what has felt like forever to have her all to myself.”
“Why all to yourself?”
“Because the thought of her with anyone else makes me violent,” Kakashi said, regretting his words the very moment they spilled past his lips.
Percy remained quiet, Kakashi wasn’t sure if it was so he could talk more or not. He stayed silent for a while too. He wondered wether Percy was judging him, then again he didn’t care too much, it wasn’t him who was worried about public appearances.
“Sometimes I can feel my blood boil when I see another man talking to her. She makes me feel at peace, not just in my mind but in my soul. I love that woman down to the marrow in my bones and to think that some other man could see her and only see her for her beauty, only see her for something to use makes me sick. I can practically feel the bile in my throat just thinking about it.”
“So she makes you feel calm?” Percy didn’t seem to be turned off by the way Kakashi spoke of you, it was as if they were having a conversation so casual it was comparable to one about the weather.
“It’s beyond that,” Kakashi felt his heart flutter as he thought of you, his mind running with excitement just at the opportunity to talk about you.
“Sometimes I think about my past and all the people who have left me. Some of them chose to, some of them didn’t. Regardless, whenever I’d get attached to someone they’d leave, I didn’t have any control over it. Maybe it was because I was weak, or too young to have any real say in the matter. But now it’s different. I’m stronger and I’m older, no matter how you look at it I’m ten times the person I was all those years ago.” Percy remained silent, listening intently to his friend. Something he wouldn’t do to much of as Kakashi wasn’t the type to open up easily.
“When I met her, I knew instantly I loved her. It was a fact just as true as the sky is blue. I don’t think about all the horrible things from my youth whenever she’s around, not when all I can think about is the possibility of my old age spent with this wonderful woman. And the only way to have a future with her is if she doesn’t leave. I’ve grown beyond a simple lust for her, I've realized I can’t escape these feelings. I learned about her past, her favorite flowers and I’ve showered her in as much affection I can show without being too much. I’m sure I’ve crossed that boundary already but I can’t help it, I have too much inside to not let go of.”
“So you want something serious with her?”
“Yes.”
“Why call it quits now? After everything you’ve gone through, why give up?”
“Because she’s going to leave me,” He ran a hand through his silver hair, holding back a tear that was heard through the slight crack in his voice.
“She told you she doesn’t want to be together anymore?” Percy asked, wondering if what his girlfriends told him about you was true or not. He remembered hearing how you liked Kakashi too, but was afraid of ridicule, yet still craved his love beneath it all.
“She wants to fight in a possible deadly battle. I cant disclose much but that’s all I can say.”
“But she’s strong isn’t she? Plus she’s a medic, so wouldn’t she be able to heal herself if anything happened?” Percy asked, unsure about the severity of this “battle”.
“You don’t get it,” Kakashi sighed, leaning his forehead against Percy’s back. “I can keep her through affection and intimacy, that’s one thing we both know we have for each other, it’s apparent. But I can’t keep her from getting herself killed. Death is around every corner for people like me and her.”
“Shinobi, you mean?”
“Exactly. I don’t want to be in love with someone and yearn for them every second we aren’t together just for them to leave and die. It’s not fair to torture myself like that. I’d rather call it quits early before I’m doomed to live a life of suffering. I couldn’t deal with it.”
“Kakashi, you already are.” Percy didn’t care to tiptoe around the fact, he was tired of all the beating around the bush. Kakashi sat there a moment, his head still resting against his friends back.
He closed his eyes, occasionally catching himself to hold onto the bike better as they jostled over small rocks and bumps along their path. Kakashi didn’t have much to say about that, but it did prompt a lot of thinking, not that he could do much with Percy being such a chatterbox.
“You need to hear me out with this, okay? Love is like a sandwich-“
“Good gods, spare me the metaphors…”
“I’m going somewhere with this trust me!!” Percy yelled defensively, his volume mostly washed out by the breeze blowing by. “You can have all the amazing fillings you want: intimacy, shared experiences, passion, romance, all that is great but without the bread that keeps it together it’s just a bunch of things slopped together. What makes a sandwich a sandwich is the bread that keeps it together- a solid foundation, trust. And sure, it’s going to be messy at times, but that just comes with that delicious journey we all sign up for.”
“Is there a point to this analogy?”
“Obviously, dumbass. You have all the makings for a great relationship except for the bread… the trust. The bread you’ve got is thin- real thin. Meaning it’s not able to keep all that great stuff inside. The only way that meals gonna end is with everything falling out. Do you know why your bread is thin?” Percy asked, dodging a large rock in the middle of the path.
“Because of my insecurities…” Kakashi admitted, his face heating up.
“Bingo.”
He sat with this realization, mostly because he was metaphorically eaten up alive by one of his best friends. That aside, he looked at the bigger picture. Was he really that insecure about his trust in you? He knew you were strong, but was he actually just insecure you would rather die than be with him?! Was he really that codependent on you? That wasn’t possible, not with war being such a great threat. Percy didn’t know that though, so that’s another thing to factor in. Regardless, there still was valid food for thought presented to him.
“Well how far away are we now?” Kakashi asked, looking around at the new environment.
“Wont take longer than a few minutes, bud. Relax, we’ll be there in no time.”
___________________
Percy was right of course, only a few minutes later and the two were parked outside the large wooden gates. Sounds of children’s laughter and music could be heard just beyond, as well as the smell of amazing food clouding their senses. Kakashi and Percy walked in, delighted by all the new sights and sounds, it seemed like a festival was taking place, although they had zero clue what it was for.
While it did seem magical at first glance, Kakashi knew the truth behind this villages facade. When he truly looked around beyond the vibrant colors and fun attractions, he saw very sick people lurking around the streets, some even begging for spare money. He sighed to himself, judging all the men who walked by with their expensive robes who were laughing at the sick and elderly.
“Kakashi! Over here!” Percy called to him from beyond the crowd.
Kakashi looked over to where his friend was and saw a small shop next to some sort of brothel-esque building. He tilted his head in curiosity at him, raising both arms in a shrugging position.
“No- come over here! This is the place I came here for!” Percy called louder, holding open the shops door to signal he was about to enter.
Kakashi jogged over there, still overwhelmed by all the excitement going around. When he caught up with Percy, he suddenly felt something very familiar. It was that calmness in his soul he had described to Percy earlier. He spun around, trying to see what it was and if he could follow it.
“Something the matter?” Percy asked, shutting the door.
Kakashi turned his head and saw a small staircase on the outside of the establishment that led to a second story door. He furrowed his brow looking at the door, feeling a strange calling towards whatever was just beyond it.
“No… I guess it’s nothing.” He said, turning towards Percy as he opened the door and walked inside.
It was a small restaurant, a few tables here and there as well as a large island that a middle aged man stood at.
“Hi, welcome in fellas! Take a seat anywhere you want, I’ll get you both a few menus to look at!” He said cheerily, ducking behind the island to grab two menus.
Percy sat at the island in front of the man, Kakashi followed and took the seat next to him. The older man gave them their menus and went in the back to give them some time.
“Are you hungry at all?” Percy asked, skimming the drinks side.
“I could eat,” Kakahi responded, suddenly craving a sandwich more than anything.
There were quite a few options to choose from. Some vegan options, some vegetarian, and some sort of dessert types with various different fruits, custards, and cream fillings. Kakashi was in the mood for something more traditional and hearty, deciding he would ask for a grilled chicken sandwich.
The man reappeared with a small notepad and pen, leaning against the countertop.
“You two ready to order?” He asked, looking at Kakashi first.
“Yeah, may I please have the grilled chicken sandwich?” He asked, pointing to the menu. The man wrote it down and then asked for Percy’s order.
“I’ll have this breakfast sandwich,” Percy said.
“A little late don’t you think?” The man laughed, taking both menus.
“Well you know… breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Why not have it anytime of day?” Percy laughed. The man furrowed a brow and Percy grimaced, embarrassed by his joke falling flat.
Kakashi couldn’t help but feel that comforting aura getting stronger around him. He looked around, maybe it was the environment? Just then it became much stronger, as if all this muscles had relaxed in just that moment. It felt less like an aura and more like a chakra. He quickly looked behind the man and towards the curtains that led to the back. What he saw he couldn’t believe.
You emerged from beyond the curtains, holding two cups of water in your hands. When you looked up you immediately locked eyes with him. You must’ve felt the same muscle relaxation as Kakashi, you suddenly dropped both cups catching the eyes of the room.
“Kakashi…?”
_________________________________
You had arrived to this hometown of yours not too long after you left Konoha. You watched as children ran around happily through the village with their prizes from games going on throughout the streets. You sighed, walking down the paths of the place you once called home, knowing the happiest of people were just tourists in this living hell your family and community was trapped in.
You approached your families restaurant, smiling at the nostalgic feeling it filled you with. You grabbed the handle and walked in, your father standing just behind the island. He called you name excitedly, rushing over to you to hold you in a tight hug.
“You’ve come home! What are you doing here? You didn’t get kicked out, did you?” He teased, letting you go to get a good look at you. You nervously laughed.
“No, it’s not that.” You said, rubbing the back of your neck.
“Well whatever the reason is, it’s nice seeing you again.”
“Um… can I talk to you upstairs for a moment? There’s something I need to tell you… it has to do with me being here actually.”
He nodded and held the curtain for you to walk through. Beyond the kitchen in the back was a small door that led to a staircase, that staircase led to the small flat you and your family grew up in. When you both had settled down in the living room, you had assumed your mother would be there, however she was not. Puzzled, you two sat on a nearby couch and you faced him to ask.
“Did mom go out somewhere? I mean… I didn’t see her in the restaurant or kitchen and it’s a little late to still be in bed…” Your fathers face fell, looking at the carpeting.
“Your mother is uh… well there’s no easy way to say this. Your mothers in the hospital.” You felt your heart drop.
“What’s wrong with her? Why didn’t you send a message?! I could’ve come home to help her- what’s going on dad?!” you asked, voice shaking.
He sighed deeply, rubbing his temples with one hand anxiously.
“We aren’t sure what was wrong with her but… we knew that with the big move and that new job of yours you’d have some real stress. We couldn’t put that on you, so we made the decision to send her to a nearby hospital to get her checked out.”
“Fuck…” you sighed, holding your head in your hands. “You need to take me to her, I can heal her… or fix her or… something- anything! Gods dad, what the hell?! Why wouldn’t you tell me?”
“Sweetie it’s fine, your mothers going to be okay-“
“Dad that’s a lot of money! For crying out loud, how are you going to afford the hospital bills?”
“We’ll be fine! as long as you’re okay we’ll be just fine.”
“Here, let me see if I have any extra money on me,” you reached into your pockets for your wallet. Your father quickly nudged your arm away.
“Please don’t, you have enough on your plate already. Why don’t you tell me what you needed to say earlier, okay?” He asked, putting on a small smile.
You frowned.
“Well, since we’re getting everything out in the open…” You took in a deep breath, letting it out with a shaky breath. “I’m going to war.”
You felt your heart shatter the way you watched your fathers face drop again. It was as if he was being told his only child was about to be killed right in front of him.
“Dad, I know how it’s sounds but I don’t have any other choice. There are people who need me, I signed up for this- this is my job.“
“I understand.” He said softly. You frowned, pulling him into a hug.
“I wanted to see you and mom one last time before I left… I know it’s a worst case scenario but… if anything were to happen, I wanted to tell you both goodbye.” You heard your father sob in your ear, holding you tightly. You couldn’t help yourself from crying either and wept with him on the sofa.
“I know you’re strong, and I know you’re valuable, but I’m still so worried,” he sputtered, you patted his back to comfort him but it did next to nothing.
“I know, but I promise you I’m not going down without a fight. I swear to you and mom I’m not going to let myself be weak.” You said sternly, almost as if you weren’t choking back a rivers worth of tears.
After a few more minutes and you and your father had calmed down, you sat there and discussed the situation of war. What it meant for you and your family. You said that with the money you had, it’ll all go to them if you died and they’d be able to move far away, to a better village and have a good financial place for themselves. Your father wasn’t pleased to hear about this and almost cried again. To get his mind off of it, you told him about your job and all the people you met at Konoha.
“Machi and Gale, huh? They sound quite nice! You even have your own students, sounds like you’ve adapted pretty well,” you dad smiled, tears drying on his cheeks.
“I have,” you smiled back, a blush forming in your face when you remembered Kakashi was one of the first you grew close with, even if it started out so riske.
“What’s that look for, hmm?” Your father asked, teasing you for the small blush across your face.
“It’s nothing,” you replied, putting a hand to your cheek and feeling the warmth on your skin.
“Don’t lie to me, I know that look pretty well. You must’ve met someone who isn’t just a friend or a student to you, so tell me!” He laughed, playfully swatting you on your arm.
“I mean, yeah there is someone,” you smirk, shortly after your face fell.
“Um… is everything alright?”
“Yeah, It’s just… things are complicated right now.”
“Oh,” you father said sadly, crossing his arms.
“But he’s a really great guy!” you perked up.
“He?” Your father asked. You nodded. “Does he have a name?”
“He might.”
“He might? What might it be?”
“It might be Kakashi.” Just the your fathers arms uncrossed, his eyes widening.
“As in Kakashi Hatake?”
“Oh great,” you sighed, hating this conversation immediately. “Yeah, why?”
“Because that’s the famous copy ninja! I’ve got to say I’m impressed.” You groaned, holding your knees to your chest now.
“Please stop embarrassing me.”
“I’m not trying to, I’m just suprised that a man like that can be in a relationship with you.” Immediately you grew defensive.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Your brows furrowed.
“Woah, I didnt mean it like that! It’s just… he’s known for being such a hardened shinobi. Who knew there was a heart beneath the mask?” He nervously laughed.
“I knew.” You added. Your father frowned, nervously fidgeting in his seat.
“I’m sorry, " you sighed. "I didn’t mean to be so snappy. It’s just that we’ve spent a lot of time together and he means a lot to me. I’ve seen a lot of his sides and even though he drives me crazy I can’t help but love him regardless. He makes me feel seen, and appreciated. No matter how bitchy I am he keeps trying, nobody else has ever been this patient with me. And what makes things even crazier, is that I feel so drawn to him. It’s like my whole life has led up to the moment we’d meet. Oh, what am I saying? This is starting to get weird, I’ll stop while I’m ahead,” your face felt extremely hot, you avoiding looking at your dad.
“No it’s fine, I get it.” He said, patting you on the back.
“Yeah, thanks.” Silence.
“So what makes things so complicated?”
“‘What isn’t complicated’ is a better question,” although you knew that answer was something entirely too inappropriate to say.
“It’s that bad?”
“Yes and no. It’s a long story, I couldn’t get into it.”
“Well whatever the case may be, you sound like you really love him. In fact, I caught onto you saying that,” he smirked.
“Please stop.”
“Fine.” he raised his hands defensively, then stood up from his seat at the couch. “Now we can sit here moping all day or we can spend time together like we used to. What do you say?”
“Moping sounds good but we can’t afford that right now so let’s work the restaurant like we used to.” You smiled, following him down that stairs.

“Kakashi…?”
So that’s what it was, it was you all along. He should have known better. Kakashi stood up, uttering your name back to you. You weren’t sure what to do. Truth be told you didn’t forgive him for putting you out on the spot like that, but you also knew there was no real reason for him to forgive you either.
“I’m sorry but would you excuse us for a minute?” Kakashi asked Percy as he motioned to speak to you outside.
“No.” Percy said, fidgeting with his napkin. Your father shot you a concerned look, finally putting two and two together. You patted him on the back reassuringly.
“It shouldn’t take long, we’ll just have a chat upstairs.” You reached into your pocket for a set of keys, walking out the front door of the establishment, Kakashi on your tail.
You two walked out in silence and he followed you up the outside stairs, staying quiet as you unlocked the door and stepped inside. He looked around and it appeared to be your old bedroom, posters and ribbons hanging on the walls. It felt homey to him, more so when he noticed preserved flowers laying on your desk, jasmine to be exact.
“So did you follow me here or did you-“ he cut you off with his lips against yours. Your eyes grew wide in shock. But the moment he put his hand on the small of your back you felt entirely different. Your eyes closed softly and your hands tangled in his hair. You felt a familiar fire burn in your chest, your heart fluttering as his beat in tandem with yours.
“Kakashi,” you sighed, his grip on you becoming tighter. He pushed you against the door, keeping his grasp on you impossibly firm. “Now’s not a good-“
“Stop talking, damnit.” he huffed, his breath hot against your skin. Immediately you shut your mouth, only opening it again to allow his tongue to brush up against yours.
You locked the door while you were still up against it, then resumed pulling on his hair. You also pushed your body against his firm chest, feeling your loins flutter as his breathing became heavier and his kisses more desperate. Kakashis tongue prodded into your mouth, caressing your own as if it lost it, rejoicing in the feeling of finding it again. His body language spoke the same dialect, his arms tense while they wrapped around you, legs locked in place as they cornered you against the wooden door.
You grabbed onto his vest, yanking it off of him and it was only for a moment when his arms left your body. His vest sliding off of him and landing on the floor, he swiftly kicked it away and then resumed his primal grip against your body. He pulled you into him, a breath of air escaping your lungs the moment he ripped your body off the floor. Your legs instinctively wrapped around his waist, head falling to your shoulder while his teeth sunk into your neck, you let out a small grunt from the pain that you couldn’t welcome enough.
“Kashi?” you whispered heavily. He cut you off with another sloppy kiss, the rough smack of his lips against yours had you digging your nails into his back through his body con long sleeve. “What are you doing-“ another kiss “here?”
“What does it look like?” He huffed, hands sneaking past your shirt as he caressed your back with his long fingers. Your breath hitched at the feeling of him touching your bare skin, hair on the back of your neck raising while the tickling sensation of his calloused fingertips roamed your skin.
“I know what you’re doing, but why?”
“I needed you,” he rasped, fingers digging into your skin, his own nails now dragging down your skin. You shuddered in his grasp, thighs clamping down tight around his abdomen. “Must I need any other reason?”
“No…” you knew this was rhetorical, but the gratification you gained from answering him regardless heightened your arousal, giving into him just like you always did. “Needed me for what?” you asked, your chest rising and falling as you struggled to gain your composure.
“I just needed to see you,” Kakashi muttered licking the slight teeth marks that curved along your neck. “I missed this… the way things were before. Y’know I thought about inviting you over the other night?”
“To your apartment?” You were suddenly curious. He nodded, his hands now rubbing down your back, causing you to shiver once again. “What would we do?”
“I don’t even know. I was just so empty without you, even you being in my presence would be enough for me. However, I’m sure we’d find ways to entertain ourselves,” He leaned in closely to your ear “Wanna know how exactly?”
When he said this he thrusted himself into you, his hard package pressing right up against your clothed cunt. You moaned, grinding down on the new stimulation the moment you could, completely void of embarrassment or shame.
“Y-yeah,” your heart was practically in your throat now, however you felt the heartbeats much, much lower.
“Well, I had something in mind,” he hummed, his hands now on your asscheeks, gripping them harshly.
“Ngh- Like what?”
“I was thinking about how bad you’ve been lately,” his breath was almost burning the skin of your neck, you wanted him to so badly rip your clothes off of you and take you to bed. His hair smelled so good, you kept digging your fingers inside of the fluffy mass, gently pulling at it while it tangled between your fingers. He grunted slightly.
“Just like how you are right now,” it came out a purr, vibrations coming up from deep inside his chest. “You’ve been a bad girl. Sometimes I can barely recognize you.”
You didn’t know why you felt so ashamed about his words, a wave of regret crashing hard against you.
“I’m sorry,” you whisper, unsure why the apology came so easy.
“So you admit you’ve been a bad girl?” he asked with amusement in his tone, his voice hoarse as he spoke deep into your neck.
“I’m as bad as they come,” you admitted, legs wrapping around even tighter. He chuckles softly.
“Oh? Well then I think we both know what that means,” his cock twitched underneath his pants, you had to sink your nails into your palms to avoid getting handsy. “I think you need to be punished severely.”
The hair on the back of your neck stood up, goosebumps rising on your skin immediately. He carried you over to your bed, tossing you down on it. You crashed against it, a loud squeak echoing through the room. You blushed, hoping to whatever god there was that nobody downstairs could hear.
“What are you going to do with me?” You asked, your hands rubbing where he bit you on your neck.
“You want to know your punishment?” An amused smile spread across his face. You nodded. “Well that’s for me to know and you to find out.”
You felt frustrated, already wanting him to lash out on you, it felt like torture the way he stood over you, patently keeping his hands to himself.
“Please?” you whispered, one of your hands moving south of your body, he watched as your sunk your hands under your waistband, eyes blowing wide when your mouth fell open.
He grabbed your wrist and yanked it back out, pinning it down and above your head.
“I think you need another spanking.” You bit your lip, trying to hide your excitement, your panties already wet when he increased the pressure of his hand.
He sat down next to you, letting go of your wrist and instead using his hand to grab your hair into a tight pony tail, causing you to sit up.
“Should I bend over your lap?” it came out as a mewl, your desperation evident on your face.
“How funny that you just want to jump straight into it,” he smiled in your face, shiny teeth gleaming back at your from beyond his perfect lips. “Sweet girl, maybe you do know how to behave,” he kissed you softly, then had you bend over his lap.
With one hand still firm in your hair, the other pulled down your pants, your panties coming down with it. You clenched around nothing as the cool air hit your wet cunt, a shiver was sent up your back.
“Such a slut, excited for her spanking.” He caressed your soft globes, you hummed excitedly, almost moaning at the delicate touch. “If I hadn’t done this previously I would’ve assumed you didn’t know what this was. Is that true? Are you a stupid girl who doesn’t know what a spanking is?” he cooed, his hand grabbing you hip harshly, fingers digging into your skin.
You grunted, knowing with this much pressure he would leave bruises along you skin for days, weeks even.
“It’s not pleasant, at least not the way I do it, remember? It’s gonna hurt, way more than a few soft taps.”
“I’m hoping for it,” you replied back, surprised by your own response and enthusiasm.
“Oh yeah?” he also seemed surprised, pleasantly surprised. A wicked smile was plastered on his face, searching your eyes with his own. “How long have you been wanting this for? I mean, you’re so obedient. I cant help but assume you’ve fantasized about this ever since last time,” his grip of your hair tightened, you smiled up at him devilishly.
“I’ve been wanting this since I last saw you.”
“Good answer,” he smirked. “Are you ready?”
You nodded quickly, arching your back as the tension builds up in your body.
“An even better answer." his fingertips glided againsty the curve of your back. "I don’t care if you scream or cry, in fact it would make this more enjoyable,” he hummed, pulling on your hair. “Now sit still.”
Kakashis hand came down hard on your backside, a loud slap echoed in your ears. You let out a depraved moan, biting your lip as the stinging starting to settle on your asscheek. He took a moment to take in the look on your face, ogling the flush of color across your cheeks. Quicker, and much harder this time, he struck you again with his ever-so-firm hand.
You whined, squirming in his lap until he spanked you again. After his next, you dug your nails into the mattress beneath you, huffing deep breaths in and out. Kakashi laughs softly, watching your soft ass turn a bright pink as he punished you.
“How many can you handle? You want me to get creative?” he asked happily, softly rubbing circles on your abused skin.
“Y-yesss…” your voice was trembling.
“If you say so. But it makes me wonder… how much pain can this pretty little ass take?”
“I deserve it, we both know I’ve been bad,” you mutter, nails coming out of the mattress as you slowly began to get less tense with each rub of Kakashis hand.
“Yes you have,” Kakashi exclaimed amused. “Do you know how bad? Answer me.” He smacked you again, and all you could muster was a string of whimpers and groans, no real words coming to your mind.
“Answer me properly. I don’t want to hear your little moans. I want a real answer. Tell me what you’ve done.”
“I… I’ve kept you a secret…” you whispered, your hand stroking his knee. “And the worst part is I’ve been fantasizing about you this whole time.”
“Interesting. For how long, give me a number.” He pulls your hair, tilting your face upwards so your eyes are locked.
“8 weeks,” you confess, looking away to avoid his strong gaze.
“8 weeks? How filthy have you been? What’s the most inappropriate thing you’ve fantasized about me doing?” He pulled your hair tighter, forcing you to look back at him.
“I’ve thought about you defiling me.” Kakashi raised an eyebrow.
“That’s all? I’m not going to lie, I expected more from you.” His hand move from your ass to your hip, once again squeezing it tightly. You winced.
“I-I’ve thought about you waking me up just so you can use me to get yourself off,” you blurted out. Kakashi perked up, much more interested.
“Anything else? You’ve had 8 weeks,” clearly he was having fun toying with you. It felt like torture dumping your fantasies onto him, but you couldn’t help spilling your guts.
“I’ve thought about pleasuring you.”
“Go on.” His grip became looser, yet still firm.
“I’d use my mouth.” He smirked.
“Is that all?” You wanted to melt into his lap, escape his massive presence.
“And my hands…”
“Well, don’t you have a plethora of talents,” he teased, bringing his hand back and quickly down his to your ass. You flinched, but before he could make contact he stopped himself, laughing softly. Your face burned hot.
“Anything else? I mean, 8 whole weeks is a looong time,” he raised his eyebrow again, looking directly in your eyes.
“Well…”
“Spit it out, don’t be a tease. I know you can say more.” His words made your skin tingle.
“I’ve thought about how mad you were at me, ignoring me all the time at the office. So I thought about trying to rile you up, get you even angrier. Just so maybe you’d snap and use me without holding back.” He loosened his grip on you.
“You really want that? For me to take my frustration out on you?”
“Yes.” You gripped his knee tighter.
“You really are a bad girl, aren’t you?” He smirked, grip getting firmer in your hair again.
“I am.”
“Do you have no shame? Ass in the air, panties off, pussy soaking wet, and looking me in my eye while you tell me about all the filth you’ve imagined about me. Sweet girl, you’re more perverted than I thought.” He pulled your hair back further, his mouth connected with your more a quick kiss.
“I bet you’ll say anything at this point if it’ll make me happy, huh? You’ve completely given yourself to me, isn’t that right?” With lidded eyes you nodded looking up at him.
“Are you mine to use?” Amused curiousity lingering in his voice.
“Yes.” Right after you confirmed this, another rough smack was right up against your ass. You yelped, once again digging your finger into the mattress.
“You like that, don’t you? You like getting hit by me.” You nod. Another rough smack. “Say it.” he practically barked.
“I- I like it! I like getting hit by you!” You wanted to curl up in embarrassment, once again hoping nobody could hear you. Kakashi had a wicked look on his face.
“I wonder how many times can I hit this ass of yours before you cry? Are you a tough girl?” He asked condescendingly.
“Yes…” He hit you harder, producing a loud moan out of you. He laughed.
“Are you tough or what? You seem to be enjoying this more than I expected,” this time he struck you lower, so that his palm was right up against the back of your thigh. You desperately squirm again, breathing shakily. He hits you there again, smiling to himself.
“Oh? Am I hitting a sensitive spot?” You almost shrieked when he smacked it again. “So I did find a sensitive spot,” he leaned down closely so that that he was almost in your ear.
“I’m going to keep smacking you, riiight here until your crying and begging me to stop.” And that’s what he did. Over and over again, watching as you rubbed your legs together, slick coating the feverish in-between of your legs.
“How many more spanks can you get before you cry? 10? 20? I know you can take it,” he kept spanking you, each one lighting you up until your ass was red. As he spanked you, he enjoyed watching your eyes roll back, your whimpers echo softly in your room, and your body spasm after each moment of contact.
“You must nearly be at the edge, huh?” Your eyes rolled back to normal, welling with tears. “Awww, is that it? Is that all you can take?”
He delivered the final blow, you moaned loudly, tears flowing down your cheeks. You felt lightheaded, pain and pleasure circulating inside of you. The erotic sensation making it's way up your spine, the hairs on the back of your neck stood up.
“Aww… did I do that? Did I make the tough, pretty girl cry?” You nod, unable to verbalize a single thought. “Such a good girl, taking it like a champ. I have to say, I admire how well you kept your composure… well at least most of it.”
He pulled your hair back, your head coming closer to him and he placed a soft kiss on your forehead. You shut your eyes and bit your lip, your heart melting at his sudden tender affection.
While still having a good grasp of your pony tail, Kakashi slung you over to the side, trapping you against him and the bed. He had you pinned, your wrists above your head. When he towered his large form over you his lips brushed against yours, his scent was everywhere. You closed your eyes again, and felt how his eyelashes fluttered against your cheek as he bent down lower and licked up your neck.
You smirked, a sudden tickle causing you to slightly spasm, Kakashi laughed softly when he saw it. He instead turned to biting you, the feeling of his teeth in your neck filled you with the most euphoric nostalgia. You sighed, legs bending so your knees could squeeze his waist. He rutted his hips into your core, and you shuddered as the wet juices pooled in your cunt and trickled down your legs.
Kakashi looked up at you, lips curled into a cocky smile, pressing softly against your own. You parted your lips, his soft tongue dragging along your plump lip, before his teeth gently trapped it and he bit into it possessively. You never started the day thinking he'd be showing up at your old home, about to fuck you senseless into the mattress you've spent countless nights on. It seemed to you like Kakashi's fate was to always appear, and so was your passionate desire for him.
Kakashi's kiss could make your loins ache like a wildfire, yet it could also make your breaths slow and your heart melt. Maybe it was fate?
I am safe here. His arms are open, his tongue is tender, and I don't need to struggle anymore.
Its all you could think about, really.
Two fingers circled your drenched clit, Kakashi watched your hole clench around nothing. He licked his lips watching your pretty cunt swallow his didgets shortly after, curling up as he pumped in and out.
“She’s so pretty…” he hummed, his knuckles now shiny with your arousal.
Your toes curled the more he pumped you, his fingers working fast. You roughly grabbed his wrist, stopping his movement. He looked up at you, a single brow cocked.
“Something wrong?” his voice was smooth, eyes soft as they watched you with adoration.
“T-that’s not what I need…” You murmured, breathing in and out as if you’d pass out.
“Tell me, what do you-“
“Cock. Yours.” You demanded. Kakashis eyes grew wide, a sinister grin plastered in his face. He retracted his fingers from your cunt, a silent moan escaped your lips when he moved.
“I never thought I’d have you so needy, sweet girl.” Kakashis hand traveled to his waistbands and pulled them down, hard cock slapped against his body con shirt, precum making his tip glisten.
“I can’t help it.” You admitted, your eyes breaking away from his to stare at his erection. Your legs spread wide, and you wriggled excitedly.
Kakashi ducked down to kiss you, cupping your cheeks as he rutted against you, his length rubbing up and down against your clit. You moaned into the kiss, a smile on your face as your pleasure spread. You wrapped your legs around his waist and your arms around his neck, getting even closer as you two enjoyed eachothers embrace.
Kakashis tongue made its appearance in your mouth again, the soft tip of his tongue swirling with yours, just to retreat and wetten your lower lip.
“Don’t tease me…” you whispered, breaking the kiss only to resume it quickly. He laughed gently, his hand moving south to grab the base of his cock and align it with your entrance.
“Well, aren’t you one to talk?” With one swift motion he went balls deep inside of you again, a shiver running up his back as he bottomed out, his public bone flush with your clit.
You both grunted, then began to lock lips as his hips drilled into you. You both knew you didn’t want to waste any time, each time he bottomed out you grounded down on him further, feeling his warm precum coat your walls as your own arousal spilled out and onto the sheets.
“Always wet for me…” he smiled, kissing down your jaw.
His cock was heavy, stretching you perfectly and throbbing each time it hit that tender spot inside of you that made you digs crescents into his back with your nails. He loved watching your lashes flutter when your eyes rolled back, and he devoured your lips whenever they opened to produce a guttural moan.
“I love you…” Kakashi cooed, a finger of his now playing with your clit.
“Love you- haaah- too…” you replied with a whine between words.
Kakashi pulls your shirt off of you, then quickly grabs both your wrists in one hand. He pins you down, and you’re unable to move. He retracts his hand from your clit and presses his forearm under your tits, pushing them up and drooling at how pretty they sit. He ducks down and sucks a nipple, his soft tongue spreading hot spit over your sensitive tits. He moans, cock throbbing as you pulse around him.
He looks up at you, your face red and forehead slightly sweaty. Fuck, you look so sexy. He groans your name, biting your tit, sucking a hickey into the soft flesh in his mouth. You’re seeing stars, vision blurry as your orgasm comes washing over you. You’re whimpering his name, shaking and yet unable to move under his massive presence. He lets go of your tit in his mouth and watched over you. You were his own personal porn star, cumming for him- cumming on him. Whimpering his name as you choke his girthy cock and take him while he resizes your cunt.
“Filthy… you’re making such a mess.” His pace was quicker now, your cries of pleasure louder as he beats your pussy into the mattress. “Bad girl…” he hums low, almost a growl.
You can’t fight back the violent euphoria, your poor cunt wants more of him, regardless as to whether or not you can take it.
“S’ good…” you mewl, erotic and soft squelches filling your ears as he continues to stuff you with his member, his own orgasm on its precipice.
“You really are a slut of this cock, huh?” he teased, thrusting hard, keeping his dick stuffed deep inside you as he pressed his pelvis against your clit. His nails dig into your wrists, your fingers try to grab onto him but you just can’t reach.
“No more playing games,” he grunts, a hand letting go of your wrists to wrap around your throat firmly. You gasp, your air running thin. “You want me?” His hips retreat, then slam harsh inside of you. You wince, eyes snapping shut when you moan.
“Tsk tsk, look at me.” you follow his order, your brows knitted tightly together, looking up at him through your lashes. His teeth glimmer as he grins mischievously, his grip on your neck tightening. “Nah, you need me.”
You feel like you’re about to pass out again, legs shaking viciously and you felt light headed.
“My body always misses this pussy… fucking made for me.” He nips at your jaw, railing you at the one pace he knows you and he both like it. “Mine.”
He wants to mark you up, leave you purple for everyone to see. So when he notices how hard it is for you to breathe he lets go, and takes delight in how you choke for air. He sucks deeply at your neck, throbbing inside you when he imagines how it’ll look after.
“M’gonna cum again…” you almost plead, hips tilting up to meet his own, welcoming his gorgeous cock back inside of you where you knew it belonged.
“I bet you want me to cum inside you,” he mutters, letting go on your sensitive skin before he sucks another purple bruise into your neck.
“Please.” Is all you manage, your slick now running down your ass.
“Always a slut for my cum…” He bites your shoulder, his tongue licking at the red skin underneath. “Can’t fuck you once without you begging for a creampie.”
You cum for a second time, begging for his hot cum to fill you up and pour out. Kakashi complies, a few more rough thrusts and he’s pumping you full of his burning seed, you feel impossibly full as you throw your head back. Kakashi moans heavily, still pumping you with his cock, loving the way you squirt on him with your own spend.
“You can play with yourself thinking about this tonight,” he says low, kissing you hard while he continues to shoot ropes into you. You twitch, legs spasming as your orgasm refuses to subside.
“N-no. I wanna be with you tonight! I wanna do it again!” You beg, wrapping your legs even tighter around him. His eyes widen and he licks your neck playfully.
“My sweet girl, if I bring you home with me tonight I won’t stop until the sun comes up.”
“I’m prepared to lose a few hours of sleep if it means I can spend them being your whore.” You respond shamelessly. He lets go of your wrist and you grab the back of his head, fully making out with him as you play with his silver mess. “I love you. I don’t care anymore.”
Kakashi hums in delight, pulling out of you, your shared cum sticking to his own thighs now.
“You mean you’re all mine?” He knew the answer.
“Mmhmm… And I’m sorry about the way I was acting before…” You admitted, hands running in his hair.
Kakashi rested his face against your tits, his arms wrapped around your waist.
“What do you mean? I should be sorry. I shouldn’t have been such a scummy person to make you choose me or your career, especially when I knew how much you love it.” His voice was soft and somber, you kissed the crown on his head.
“We both messed up, yeah?” You slightly giggled.
“Yeah,” he laughed back. “If you’re sure about going into this war with me I want you to know something.” He picked his head up, towering over you again. His palm rested against your cheek as his eyes looked deep into yours.
“I don’t care who we’re facing or what we’re up against. I don’t care who’s getting hurt but I do know one thing,” His brows furrowed. “I’m not leaving your side once. I’ll cover you, I’ll fight for you, I swear I’ll kill for you- I already have and I will again if I have to.”
He softly kissed the tip of your nose.
“That goes for me too,” you sighed, one of your hands caressed his shoulder. He grabbed that hand and kissed the back of it, then pulled you off the bed.
You two got dressed, although you chose to change into a turtle neck, and went downstairs. The restaurant was more packed and there was chatter all around, the nerves you may have been heard upstairs disappearing completely.
Percy turned around when Kakashi approached the seat next to him and reclaimed his seat. You walked around the counter and began to wipe it down. Your father came out from behind the curtain that led to the kitchen.
“Here’s that sandwich,” Your dad said, handing your boyfriend the plated food. “Enjoy, son.”
“Son?” Kakashi asked, taking a look around to see if people were watching him. When the coast was clear he quickly lowered his mask for a bite, then put it back on.
Nobody could see the smile underneath he had while he chewed, but you noticed the crinkle underneath his eyes.
“Not bad,” Percy said, polishing off his meal. “What’d you think, Kakashi?”
“Yeah,” he looked up from his plate, watching as you walked around the restaurant, taking orders and handing out drinks. “It was good.” It tasted like home.
A/N: after a much needed break/hiatus i’m finally back RAAAAHHHHH !!!!!!! for everyone asking if i plan on continuing the mafia AU yes i do but i feel like it’ll be a small mini series.

ROUND FOUR
ROCK LEE vs HATAKE KAKASHI
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reasons for submission under the cut
Lee
ROCK LEE VS GAARA
kind as can be; willing to jump to action to help his fellow comrades even after going through a life-threatening, major surgery
practical and fashion-forward with his bright green onesie. Function over form, and is prepared at all times by carrying around a spare onesie he will give without question to anyone - even complete strangers
has a surprising edge to him at the beginning of the series; he was ready to severely maim anybody that he saw as a genius
more dedicated than anyone. Was forced to face his own mortality and make a life-or-death decision in the name of his dream, after a literal crushing defeat, and he chose to fight for it. Inspiring
embodies the ideals of original series Naruto. True underdog, had nothing going for him, came from nothing with no legacy or powers, was so disadvantaged that he physically could not meet the bare minimum abilities of his peers. But he worked harder than everyone else and proved that he can be a great shinobi despite all the adversity he faced
Sasuke had to copy Lee’s moves with his Sharingan to succeed during Chuunin exams
cute as a button. Come on.
his fans are dedicated and make amazing work, fanart and fanfic
Kishimoto said he was his favorite character to draw. Boom. Favoritism. Love to see it.
pairs well with everyone. Platonic or romantic, Lee has a great dynamic with other characters
his summer outfit from Guardian of the Crescent Moon Kingdom was the best outfit in the movie
gave us Metal Lee! Blessed us with Metal Lee, really
was the character to beat in the early series if you wanted to show how strong you actually are
Gaara vs Rock Lee was one of the most iconic fights in the series, and everyone remembers where they were when they first saw Lee drop his weights. He owned that fight so hard that people forget he lost.
was wronged by the series. He deserves to win as justice.
got [submitter] personally through the worst times; his ability to persevere face of adversity convinced me I could do it too. He wasn’t special and neither was [submitter], but we didn’t need to be. We can make ourselves great. If no one else got me, Rock Lee’s got me
he’s one of the first non-jutsu using ninja so make such a big impact
was the first person to actually harm Gaara
played a huge part in Gaara becoming a better person
he’s one of the only people that can catch up to Sasuke and easily rivals Naruto in Taijutsu
his kind, determined and cheerful attitude is a joy to watch
Rock Lee removing his weights is easily one of the most iconic moments in the entire anime
has helped several submitters feel better by simply thinking about how he wouldn’t want them to think like that
objectively would’ve made a better protagonist based on the themes alone
KICKS MAJOR ASS
wrecked Sasukes shit, I like Sasuke but that was really funny
he looks like a frog. Who doesn’t like frogs
inspired Sasuke
fights are always entertaining, they’re very well choreographed
he forgave Gaara for nearly killing him and nearly ending his dreams; he was never even mad at him
Rock Lee vs Sasuke was iconic
his heart is so full of love
never did anything wrong
had a squirrel befriend him
hard worker
good friend
rises to any challenge
when he does diss people they are the most brutal yet entertaining disses you ever hear
positive, weirdo, energetic, enthusiastic, joyful, chivalrous, motivated, dedicated, sweet
Lee and Neji had something homosexual going on
YOUTH !!!!
Kakashi
relatable as an adult
he is just an overworked guy who was told to watch some kids w LOTS of issues
needs therapy
good presence and guidance in Narutos life
interesting
cares about and is dedicated to his students very much
he is just cool
he is trying his best despite what he has been through in the past
is up for having fun but still knows when to be serious
was a narcissistic shit but grew out of it
has good intentions
sexy
wonderfully complex and well developed character
incredibly resilient and supportive
a sad and deeply broken man
always willing to give his life to protect them and his other precious people
just wanted everything to be ok for once in his life
hated Danzo
his friendship with Gai is adorable
the way he teases Tenzo is fun
he’s known as cool and aloof but in reality he’s a huge dork
Gai would want him to win

[kinktober m.]
Tumblr media
he is a wanted former shinobi, a danger to all nations, and you’re just someone he knows from the past he can’t get his mind off.
it’s always like this; he leaves the others, the world behind the moment the sun disappears, and the shining stars lighten the sky up in the night of the hidden leaf. he comes here – comes to you. he knows you wait for him because the same circle of events happened for at least 2 years now. he stays behind the tree, behind your door’s windows yet gazes on inside, traveling on your body, watching every movement, and having a peaceful – even paradise, away from the cruel world behind him.
it’s simple – maybe it isn’t but he doesn’t care; he just likes to sit on a tree, and see the sight before him – you while cooking, reading, laughing at something you watch or read, playing with your hair, sometimes pouting – cute, he thinks, and he finds them enjoyable because it is you – the only person he sees entirely, he seeks and he misses.
however, this night isn’t simple, it’s complex – he realizes even before coming here, finding you sitting on the edge of your bed, the window is wide open, the wind of the hidden leaf flows into your room, a few things fly from here to there including your hair. you seem as if you don’t notice any of it – you don’t, he can say, after with the arrival of his presence, you only focus on him.
you don’t look, eyes still on the wall in front of you, hands between your thighs, the marks of heat you have are visible on your body that is lighted below the gleam of the moon.
obito isn’t blind, no, he has an eye to see clearly, even under the dark light of the night, even from that far. the vision helps him to witness the scene before him with magnificent quality and detail.
he isn’t dumb either – can be the most intelligent man in the whole world. you know it, you always tell him how smart he is, catching little details, especially when it comes to you. he remembers the moments you were surprised when he understood gestures even though you can’t realize what you’re doing, so when he comes here, he doesn’t waste a second time to gather enough knowledge about what is going on.
he leaves a deep chuckle under his mask, a hand stays on one of the branches of the tree he is sitting on, “what a silly girl,” he says, head tilting to the side when you close your eyes, opening them again, and taking a deep breath.
with the knowledge of what you will do next, he gets excited – only you can make him feel this kind of emotion with the rest of the others including lust. he doesn’t have to be smart to get the hints; his girl – he likes to call you that, sitting on the bed, a thin white night dress you chose to wear that shows your entire body underneath it – hardened nipples because of both the cold night and him are visible, exposed thighs clenching together, and a bottle of oil standing on the bed, beside you.
it isn’t surprising that you are naughty and horny, wanting to create a show only obito can witness to. you tried this before, maybe more innocent, but you did. however, obito can’t deny that this one is far more different than the previous ones. his rapid breaths prove him right and when you take another deep breath, he sees determination in your sparkling eyes, and it catches him off the ground when you suddenly change your position.
now you sit right in front of the open window – him. he can see you directly – not your side profile. if you look up, he knows your eyes will be in contact with each other.
you don’t anyway. your eyes focus on your thigh, opening them wider, slowly, you pick up the dress until your soaked pussy can be seen – he holds his voice low when he leaves a growl, hand grips the brunch tighter, head tilts forward to see it closer – “oh maker,” he says, “what a beautiful pussy!”
he knows you hear him because your cheeks begin to burn with redness, hands squeeze the fabric of your dress, eyes half-closed.
he waits for you to move on – to give him more – he’s needy; the desire to come into your room and have you under him right away is pleasing to the ear, however, he wants to wait, you prepared for him after all. he wants to see how far his good girl can go.
two fingers get inside your wet mouth, the tongue licks them from tip to toe – his cock twitch with lust; that wet fingers travel down to your pussy, standing on your folds and playing with them, slowly enough to drive him crazy.
he expects you to put your fingers inside that fleshy pussy of yours yet you have a different plan; your left-hand finds the thin strap of the dress as the other stays still, playing with the folds, earning low lewd sounds mixing with your rapid breaths.
taking off the straps from your shoulders, it falls into your abdomen in a smooth motion, hardened nipples and the cute flesh of your breasts are revealed, making obito’s hand find his clothed cock under the cloak of akatsuki. another growl goes out of his parted and dry lips, he licks them to feel wet as if his lips taste your pussy, kneeling down and eating it out.
somehow his mind goes all dizzy, taking functions of moving from his brain, filling it with you who starts to play with hardened nipples, squeezing them from time to time – low moans leave your opened mouth that obito wants to put his cock into – for another day, he thinks.
he needs to live this moment and enjoy it at the highest level.
after quite a foreplay with your breasts – squeezing, slapping, licking them, you have obito in a state of a needy man whose mind is full of lust, brown eye activates the sharingan because he never wants to forget, the cloak is long forgotten under his feet, cock is standing inside his palm, precum licking from it.
the fingers finally enter your pussy in one go, the head is thrown back, a scream can be heard, minds lose themselves, and sin remains behind.
it’s feels so wrong and so right at the same time; neither of you cares yet the feeling of it drives both of you mad. hunger for one to another rising up with a dangerous rate in sync with your fingers going and out of your now wetter pussy, lewd sounds filling the room travel inside to outside until it reaches the man who jerking himself off while reaching euphoria closer owing to the sight he watches; wide open legs, pussy clenching around the fingers that give pleasure – but he knows well that he is one of your ultimate pleasure givers by only staring at your nearly naked body, eyes blurry, mouth half-open, breasts bouncing in rhythm.
“fuck -!” he swears under his breath, close to the edge like you, hand getting faster. “pretty –“ he says louder, wanting it to reach your ears, and it does. “my pretty girl, go on, give me –“
nodding to him, you lower your head down so that you look at each other.
eye to eye, breath to breath, heart to heart – you see the red eye he has, taking your breath away, and an idea pops inside your mind when you can’t see the lower part of his body. you guess what he’s doing under there but you need to see it, so, you chuckle, teasing him, “oh, my greedy pretty boy, can’t handle watching me like this?” it is a question, indeed, but it doesn’t feel like it. “come closer,” you say, ass moves until you reach the middle of the bed, getting away from him to provoke him. it’s unfair that he can see your pussy yet you can’t see his cock. “please –“ you say, close to the edge, “ooohh, obito –!”
without any control of the body, he moves on his own with the help of eagerness, jumping to the window fast enough to make you rethink your plan once again. the idea vanishes into thin air when your eyes connect with him; standing with his glory, he sits on the edge of the window, the mask is still on but the eye – oh that hazardous eye that can end lives gives life to you now, hands stay on the thighs to show off his thick and long cock – and yes, you open your eyes wider when you see it, precum is all over it. you have to fight with the urge of kneeling down on the ground and taking it into your mouth, sucking it, licking it so that he can fuck you with all that wetness afterward –
“pretty,” he says after chuckling deeply, taking your mind all to himself – to his presence. “move your fingers,” he orders, sounds deep and sending chills down your spine. you wait no more, readjusting the fingers, going back to the rhythm and rate you had – the difference this time is that you witness how his hand rubbing his cock, up and down, giving a weakness to you that you merely have the power to continue.
want to make him cum, make a mess, wins – you get up on your knees, rising on the bed, three fingers giving you pleasure as you bounce below them, breasts bouncing, acting like it’s his cock you’re bouncing on – riding, you moan his name, “aggh -! o – oohh –obito! please,” you don’t know what you’re begging for, neither he is – maybe a bit yet you go on screaming his name, pleases wandering around the room, eyes look at his eye and his cock, a hand holding your breasts from time to time and a sin blooms in the night.
then, he says, “fucking cum.” and you do, your own cum dripping into your fingers – to the sheets, and his white semen flows into his long fingers, ending on the floor.
getting weak – exhausted, you sit down, hands on the bed, looking up, taking a sip of achievement because you drove him mad – too needy, too greedy – and ended up masturbating with you.
a smile appears on your face, he comes closer, and he tilts his head, pointing to your mouth, “open your mouth,” he sounds bossy, alerting you that if you don’t do what he tells you, you will end up in a situation that you face with real menace side of obito, so, you open your dry mouth due to all that moans, and he puts his fingers that full of semen into it. his free hand caresses your hand as you suck his fingers off, bitter taste of the semen that belongs to obito burns the throat – you want more. “my good girl, did that all for me? and even cleaning the mess she caused,” he chuckles, fingers roaming on the lips, hand now holding the neck, kneeling down closer, the eye sparkles – turning the room into the new setting of sin which will bloom sooner than you thought, “will take care of that wet pussy after I fuck this beautiful mouth of yours. will fill all holes with my cum to reward you for the show, my special whore.”

So what if sasukes darling that doesn’t really care for the leaf for their own personal reasons and doesn’t want to live there in the future when they settle down and sasuke is one of the only leaf ninja they like from there ?😂I just want to see drama of sakura darling completely ignoring team seven and cpecially sakura bc they from leaf or darling just not liking none of them
Synopsis: Sasuke with a s/o who doesn't like anyone from the leaf.
Pairing: Yandere Sasuke Uchiha x reader
Format: Headcanons
WARNING(S) : slight yandere tendencies
🍙 Even SASUKE could not recall when or how you grew so close. The two of you were easily competing for "most distant asshole", as Kakashi woul d say, every day. But you beat him by a long shot. You were so quiet and reserved, it was like you were a mere vessel with no one to inhabit it. Then you finally said something to his surprise.
🍙 “I hate this village,” You scoffed at no one in particular. “When I'm old enough I'll move out of here and never turn back.” Sasuke attempted to suppress his laughter to little avail. You wanted exactly what he wanted, to leave and never look behind him. Your views intrigued him the more he invested his time in them. At that moment he made his up mind about you.
🍙 Team seven made many attempts to get along with you. You ignored them. Sakura wished to become your friend, but it was solely to get closer to a certain Uchiha. So, you ignored her. Naruto was annoying, so you ignored him. Only when in the presence of Sasuke were you somewhat interested in listening.
🍙 You truly did not have the patience for anyone's petty antics, Sakura's especially, and that girl seemed to have plenty of them. You were already aware of her "little" crush on the shinobi, long before he asked you out. But frankly, you couldn't care less. You didn't like her anyways; but she was angry, understandably so. Her pointless shrieks no more than further your desire to leave this wretched place. And she would be the first person you get away from.
🍙 After the Great Ninja War, the two of you ventured far beyond the Leaf. Even so, your very last moments there still lay fresh on your mind: Sakura confessing her love for Sasuke, begging and pleading for him to rethink his decisions. Naruto trying to convince you to stay for no reason in particular. Kakashi didn't care in the slightest. You snort at the memory, it was amusing to this day.
🍙 “You're distracted. Why's that?” It seemed as though every time your mind wandered, Sasuke was there to retrieve it. There was not a moment where you were left to marvel at the wonders of your vast mind, for Sasuke had grown envious of what dared to capture it. You leaving him remained one of his greatest fears. After all, You were no fool, and if given the opportunity he was sure you'd lose interest in him much like you did with the others.

Who *Should* Have Died From The Konoha ~12 Instead Of The One Who Did
rules:
we’re assuming they die under the same circumstances as the other guy
each one listed would have a complete storyline and their death would further the immediate plot as well as the overall narrative
i’m not “just picking characters i don’t like”
i do not condone killing characters for the sake of shock value but am considering shock as a legitimate tool in generating impact of a character’s death
miss me with “[redacted]’s death was a tragic result of the shinobi system” because no it was not. if that were true you could sub out [redacted] for any other child soldier and get the exact same impact. we know exactly why they were chosen and it’s got an (insufficient) explanation irl and in-universe.
#3. Sai
Tumblr media
Motivation: Friendship
First of all, imagine the shock value from killing one of THE Team Kakashi members.
Cool. Now imagine Naruto’s shock at Sai sacrificing himself for him.
Sai overanalyzes normal human interaction to the point of not understanding it. He reads books about how to befriend people. He still doesn’t understand it all the time but friendship is coming more naturally to him these days. What he does understand is that Naruto is the only chance of winning this war, and he’s down, and the enemy is aiming for him, and Hinata is trying to stop them but she’s on the ground, the spears are in the air and so is Sai, and Naruto is his friend.
He doesn’t need to think about it much deeper than that.
Now imagine Sasuke “What Does ‘Friend’ Mean To You” Uchiha witnessing this, witnessing Naruto’s reaction, and the further effects this may have on his character. After all, Sai was his replacement. If Naruto feels this strongly about losing someone who was decidedly not him but his friend and teammate nevertheless then… maybe.
#2. Rock Lee
Tumblr media
Motivation: Youth
Regardless of *how* this one plays out, no one wants to watch the determined, precious, comedic relief die; no one who’s watched this far into the show wants Rock Lee specifically to die. Huge impact already. But we can make it super duper sad because he deserves a memorable death. I see it going one of two ways.
One: Hinata doesn’t even have the time to try to shield Naruto because Rock Lee is faster. Ten-Tails barely launches the attack and Lee’s already taken/attempted to counter the hit. Perhaps this is his eight gates moment. Similar to Sai, Rock Lee would cite the power of friendship in his dramatic death speech, but he also was just… doing his duty. Truly, if you’re in the “Neji was just another tragic child soldier” camp, Rock Lee is the prime example of what I mean when I say you could sub in any child soldier, which I know sounds paradoxical but stay with me. Rock Lee’s entire personality is training harder than anyone else to benefit a system that will ultimately result in his death. If you want to make a point about child soldiers and needless lives lost, Rock Lee is the one to kill.
Two: Rock Lee doesn’t shield Hinata. He shields Neji. But not necessarily on purpose. The scene plays out exactly as written up to the moment Neji activates his byakugan, and the next frame isn’t him falling to the ground, it’s Rock Lee. The usually-somewhat-reserved Neji is devastated, probably in tears, demanding to know why he would do something like this. Rock Lee coughs up a bit of blood. “I was faster than you.” Smile. “I finally beat you…” Serene eyes fall shut. “…rival.”
And now imagine Naruto’s reaction to losing Bushy Brow. Imagine him watching Gai be brought to his knees by a blow that didn’t physically touch him. Imagine Madara incorrectly perceiving that. The implications. The foreshadowing.
#1. Shino
Tumblr media
Motivation: Legacy
I’m gonna be real, the writers were never gonna kill off Rock Lee like that, which is the biggest reason Shino has taken the crown as Most Worthy Of A Tragic Death in my book.
This dude has a connection to both Naruto and Hinata (making him equally as good a sacrifice as Neji if that’s the canon criteria). However, unlike most other (male) characters, Shino isn’t shown to have a particularly close friendship with Naruto. The one recurring joke around Shino is that he’s so irrelevant even Naruto can’t remember his name.
But he is good friends with Hinata. And he knows she’ll spend the rest of her life miserable if Naruto dies, and that if she dies right now she will never have gotten her life’s greatest wish.
So Shino goes out in a blaze of glory, and we’ll probably insert something about how Naruto has somehow secretly inspired him all along— or maybe something cynical about how he always wanted to be included by Naruto but never was unless Kiba or Hinata were around, so he’s sacrificed himself to maintain the livelihood of everyone else while not “losing” that friendship himself— and we of course get the touching moment with Hinata (oh just imagine the drama if Shino lay dying and told Hinata “Why did I protect you? It’s simple. The reason is… for the same reason you protected him.” and we find out that the huge secret crush of the show was not Hinata toward anyone, but Shino toward Hinata, never confessing because he knew it would be futile).
Good luck forgetting his name now, Naruto. Now no one will ever forget about Shino Aburame.

I need to say this Minato doesn’t deserve the praise he gets
He left his student in a war twice alone with the defends "kakashi is a jounin" (which is ass ) each time one of his students died. Cause being a jounin doesn’t make him older he was still a child, no matter how matured he was.
Second he made kakashi an anbu member after thise happen, an traumatized boy doesn’t belong there just for his selfish use cause he needed some to look over kushina since he knocked her up. KAKASHI A 13 YR OLD WHAT WAS GOING IN MINATOS FUCKING MIND.
Btw reasons why Obito hated the shinobi system so much
Also minato didn’t had to die since kushina wanted k¡ll herself since she knew she was dying and wanted to take kurama with but minato did the opposite sealed kurama with within in him and naruto.
He orphaned naruto

Welcome Home
pairing: jiraiya x fem!reader
word count: 2.3k
summary: you're there every time to welcome him home, until the one time you're not.
warnings: smut (18+ minors dni) fingering, p in v, cream pie
Tumblr media
Touch and go is how your relationship has always been. You’ve never complained. Always welcoming him home with open arms, ears eager to hear of his travels. The closer he gets back to Konoha the more he can taste your perfume—hints of honey and coconut twirling on his tongue. He’s been gone longer than usual this time. It’s made him antsy. His hands twitch at his side as he walks through the village. He feels almost desperate to get home, something that’s never happened before.
He’s never taken advantage of you, never sought you out for only pleasure. He’s never talked about his feelings, so sure that you understood. Given, you’ve never talked about your feelings either. Jiraiya, the fool that he is, thought all was well. Except for the fact that you aren’t there when he gets home. From the looks of it, you haven’t been there for a while. It’s okay. It’s okay. Everything is fine. He’ll find you eventually.
Everything is not fine. It’s not okay. He’s losing his damned mind trying to find you. It’s been two days. Where could you possibly be? That’s when he sees him. Jiraiya’s eyes narrow as he tracks him, walking along the village without a care in the world, nose shoved deep into the book he’s emerged himself in. It’s not long before he’s caught up with Kakashi. They walk along in silence for a while, Jiraiya’s hands clenching and unclenching at his sides, impatience washing over him.
Finally, Kakashi sighs, dropping his arm. One eye lifting to meet the agitated gaze of the sannin. “Good to see you, Jiraiya.”
“Kakashi,”
“You haven’t talked to her?”
Jiraiya’s eye twitches. “I can’t find her.”
Kakashi hums. “She’s not back from the mission, then.”
It was like a bomb had been dropped on him. Everything he thought he knew about you was wrong. But he’s to blame. He’s the one constantly leaving. He’s the one who keeps you at arms length. If he wanted to know, he’d ask. A lump of uncertainty forms in Jiraiya’s throat. He’s not a fan of the feeling. He doesn’t like you being gone. A shinobi? You’re more amazing than he’d thought, and it irks him. He’s an idiot. The two of you have been at this for, well, years, and he honestly thought that you were a civilian whose whole world revolved around him. He doesn’t say anything to Kakashi. He’s defeated by you and you aren’t even here to witness it.
“You really don’t have a clue, do you?” Jiraiya stares at him, making Kakashi sigh. “Follow me.”
Kakashi isn’t sure why he has the photo to begin with, but he’s glad he has it. Probably something of Naruto’s that he has for safe keeping. He finds it in a stack next to his bedroom dresser. He smiles at the photo before handing it over to the older man.
The two of you are standing together, Jiraiya’s arm thrown over your shoulders holding you tightly to him. His head is tossed back in a boisterous laugh, you can almost hear it echoing from the memory. You’ve got your arm around his waist, body completely molded to him as you watch him. Doe eyes looking up, lips parted in a small lovestruck smile. It’s a snapshot of the pure adoration and love you hold for him.
It’s not something you hide. It’s not a secret by any means. But gods, is Jiraiya seeing it for the very first time.
Tumblr media
It’s early when you get home. Eyes burning from lack of sleep, dirt under your nails and in your hair. A nice hot shower is calling your name. It takes you three tries to unlock the door. So set on getting to the shower, you miss the hints of another presence in your home completely. Tearing off your vest while pulling your shoes off along the way, leaving the clothes scattered on the floor on your way to the bathroom. You come to a stop when you see your bedroom door open.
Now you’ve been gone for a month or so, but you do the same routine every time. Every door is shut when you leave. Every time. But the bedroom door is open. Biting your cheek, you move down the hallway to see that the bathroom door is open as well. Why? Who's been in your house? Are they still here? You freeze, senses running wild. If they were still here, they wouldn’t make it far.
The faintest sound of scratching reaches your ears. What, is there a rat in your house? As silent as you can, you follow the sounds. Leading to your bedroom, you slightly push the door open, a flurry of emotions overcoming you. Sitting at the desk is Jiraiya, bent over slightly as he pen scratches at the paper. No doubt furiously writing away for the next installment of his books. Stepping into the room you make your way to him, throwing your arms around his shoulders. He’s solid against you, the warmth of him seeping into you. You nuzzle your face in between his shoulders, more than happy to be home. Happy to finally have him home.
“Hey, kid,” he says with a laugh.
“Hey yourself. Missed you.”
His whole body relaxes at your words. Silently he turns, pulling you in closer until you’re seated on his lap. Thick fingers tangle up into the roots of your hair, angling you just so. You can’t help the moan when his lips meet yours. You aren’t sure how long he had been gone this time around. Only that it was too long and you didn’t like it. Normally you could get missions completed between the times he comes and goes. This had been rough.
“Missed your old man, did ya?”
You can’t help but snicker. “My old man?”
“Well I don’t belong to anyone else do I?” His lips trail up your neck, teasing at your ear. “I missed you too, kid.”
His hands release your hair, only to grip your face, thumbs running softly against your cheekbones. You’re doe eyed as you stare up at him. He hums as he stares back, so lovestruck it blindsides you.
“I love you.”
“Jiraiya,” The words make your heart stop. You never thought you’d hear them, and you’ve always been okay with that.
He doesn’t give you a moment to respond. “Let me show you.”
He stands, your legs instantly wrapping around his waist as he walks over to your shared bed. Your hands roam his body as he pulls off his own clothes. His tongue drags across your fluttering pulse, and when he sucks your skin hard enough to leave a bruise, your fingers splayed open on his broad shoulders, digging into the taut muscle that flexes as he draws you closer. Calloused hands pull at your shirt, the cool morning air drawing your nipples taunt.
His hands slide down your back, holding you close as he leans forward and lays you down on the sea of blankets. You’ve been together too long for you to be embarrassed by the whimper of a moan that escapes you when his teeth tug harder on your nipple before laving the ache with his tongue while his hand palms your other breast, playing mercilessly with the nipple until your back is arching off the mattress, eyes rolling back.
His hand falls away from your breast, and you nearly squeak in indignation until the feel of his calloused fingers slides between your thighs. Fingers dig into the stretchy material of your shorts, your own hands trailing down to free your body of the material. Jiraiya groans, watching you.
“I knew you weren’t wearing any panties.”
“Never do.”
You’ve never given it much thought, but if you had to imagine heaven, this would be it. A sunlit morning, tangled sheets, gentle words, rough hands. An endless loop of intimate moments, of vulnerable confessions, of whispered promises, of sex so intense your mind fractures and pieces itself back together. Your souls touch, they echo across countless lifetimes.
Jiraiya’s thumb teases your clit, rubbing slow, torturous circles that make your legs spasm every time the callous on the side of his thumb grazes the bud of nerves, lighting up every nerve ending in your body like a firework show.
You attempt to tug him closer, to shift your hips forward, to add more pressure, to silently ask him to go faster. Gods, please go faster. But he doesn't oblige. Rather, he pulls your hands off his body and locks them into an inescapable hold above your head, pinned against the pillows — a silent demand to not rush him, to let him take his time. A silent promise to make it worth your while.
When his thumb finds your clit again it's an even softer touch — a whisper rather than steady contact. And somehow, somehow that barely there touch, that torturously reserved brush of his thumb has your eyes flying wide and your back arching off the bed so intensely your breath lodges in your throat.
You tug, trying to get your wrists free, the demand to pull him closer nearly short-circuiting your brain, but his hold on them doesn't budge.
"Mmm, how do you want to come, pretty?" He hums against your skin, biting down on the hickey he's leaving on the swell of your breast before moving his attention to the other one. His thumb keeps a teasing pace on your clit, giving you more pressure and easing off just when the pressure in your lower belly begins to build.
Up, up, up and then gone.
So close, so so close, and then poof.
Gone.
His tongue drags across your nipple before he pulls back and blows a cool breath of air across the glistening nerves, sending a rush of goosebumps across your entire body.
His thumb adds a little more pressure, a little more friction, and you’re sure you might cry. You might actually cry. It feels so good.
Your entire body is tense, nearly about to hit that peak when he pulls his thumb away again.
Your head slams back against the bed, frustration flooding your veins. Your orgasm is trying to break free, to claw its way out of you. Like water receding from the shore before a tsunami, the air in your lungs is gone, the control over your shaking legs, your shaking arms, your shaking hands — towed away from you.
He sucks on your nipple hard enough to fling white dots over your vision like confetti, and even now, you can feel the haughty smile tugging at his lips as he pulls back to watch you writhe under him because he knows, he knows you're too far gone to answer him.
"Like this?" he slides a finger into you and you nearly shatter. Nearly, nearly, nearly. Please.
You can't breathe. You can't think. You can't respond. You shake your head and tug your wrists feebly. You want him. You want him.
He adds another finger and you moan so loud it echoes back to you.
He curses, pulls his fingers away, and as you nearly break into hysterics at the loss of contact, at the loss of the climax that was so close you could nearly taste the endorphins on your tongue, he releases your wrists and wraps your legs around his hips.
"No. No sweet girl, you're going to come with my cock buried deep in your pretty pussy." His words are a promise against your ear and finally, finally he thrusts into you as he murmurs against your lips. "Come on my cock, kid. Let me see how fucking gorgeous you are when you come on my cock. Let me know how much you really missed me."
It's instantaneous. The tsunami hits with the first thrust of his hips and your throat burns with the scream that rips through your room. It's nearly a sob — a sob of relief, a sob of ecstasy, a sob of pure pleasure.
Every nerve in your body is a live wire, lighting up with the kind of mind numbing sensation that pulls you down so deep you can't process anything other than the feel of the waves. Like you’re just under the surface of the ocean, being pulled along with each rise and crash of the tide.
And then you blink and see the brilliant sunlight coaxing you back toward the surface, back to the air, back to reality. And it's only when you break the surface and your lungs unfreeze, helplessly tasting your first breath of air since they froze in your chest, that you realize the sun has been shrouded by a passing storm cloud, and the light, that brilliant light that brought you back is still here, radiating from the man on top of you. His face is nuzzled into the crook of your neck, his hips reaching a crescendo that sends another aftershock of pleasure flooding up your spine and he buries himself deep inside of you and stills, the heat of his climax pulsing inside of you, sliding down your thighs.
The room is silent other than your heavy breathing. Your fingers card through his hair, his lips grazing your collarbones. It’s only when your breathing steadies and your body completely relaxes that Jiraiya scoops you up and heads into the shower.
I love you. He whispers the words again and again as he washes you. Lips pressed against your skin as if he can force his love into you. Your heart soars. Tucked into bed, eyes droopy from exhaustion, Jiraiya hands over the photo. You can feel his gaze taking you in as you run your finger lightly over his laughing face, not even concerned about yourself. He presses a kiss against your temple, mouthing the words with a ghost of a smile.
“I love you too.”
And you don’t know where you’ll go from here. If your path will continue to entwine with his. You do know your heart will never belong to another. He’s opening himself up, learning, and he’s doing it all for you.

K A K A S H I H A T A K E headcanons
A/N: some cute things i came up with i wanted to write some kakashi my man deserves some attention too
Warnings: none
Wordcount: 727
Tumblr media
♡ He knows you’re part of the ANBU, he was notified by Tsunade herself (even though he isn’t a part of it anymore) but everyone knows he is trust worthy and she thought it was something he deserved to know.
♡ He is very worried about you when you have a mission, usually he is told when something is going on in the village so when every once in a while you are sent to a very important and/or dangerous mission you must know he isn’t gonna have not a single minute of sleep until he knows you made it back safely.
♡ If it happens that you are sent alone to a mission just know he for a fact is gonna follow you, he is very cautious and is very good at hiding his presence to avoid being noticed, he does think you are more than capable of protecting yourself, don’t get him wrong, but he still does it mainly for his own mental sake.
♡ He is so so proud of you, when he has the pleasure to see you in action he can’t help but stare at you in awe, almost drooling as you take down opponents without breaking a sweat. Kakashi defenitelly thinks you are the most badass person he’s ever met and adores when other people praise or recognise your strength and your exceptional abilities.
(I must add he loves to brag about you and praise you when he has de opportunity, to the point his friends have to shut him up cause he can go on and on and doesn’t know when to stop, can you blame him though? Everyone has to know how amazing and beautiful you are, duh.)
♡ The combination of you being cute and gentle and the complete definition of a sweetheart to everyone but also in the other hand being capable of being ruthless and a overly skilled shinobi?? drives him i n s a n e, he just can't get enough of you!
♡ He loves when you call him nicknames, everyone calls him kakashi, sensei amongst others but you are the one that he allows to refere to him as anything else his favourites are kashi or baby, it makes him feel so special and gets pouty if you use his full name.
(You also make up weird ass names for him, for example: “my little baby prince”, “my angel king of my soul”, “baby veggie dumpling”, “prettiest shinobi of the land”, “my perfect angel baby” and so on, they make him laugh and in fact he adores them, its become a thing between you two, he honestly looks forward to what you come up with each time.)
♡ When he finally has you home after a long time away, (even more than a couple days is long enough for him) he has a delicious meal already prepared, a warm bath ready for you and some of your favorite flowers sitting pretty in a vase with a little present next to it, a small detail to make you smile, like a ‘welcome home’ present. There’s nothing in the world that he loves more than taking care of you, knowing himself how tiring ANBU missions can be, after a long mission he wants you to just get home and not have to do anything, and i mean anything, if you need something, even the smallest thing, you can be sure that he will do it for you.
♡ If you love books just like him, that’s something yall bond about, making it a tradition that on sundays you have a chill day where both of you only lounge in the couch/bed and read, just enjoying each other’s company and after that reading session he takes you to the village restaurant to eat dinner and comment/talk about what happened in the book.
You both for sure gift each other books all the time, if a new icha-icha book comes out oh boy, you are the first get your hands on it so your man can read it without having to wait. And the same for you, he has his ways to get the books you love even before they launch officially, it brings him genuine happiness to see how excited you get and how your eyes shine when you have a new story to devour.
<3 Overall he is just the perfect boyfriend, get yourself a Kakashi <3

I just want to say something about Kakashi and the fact that he never lashes out against the system or tried to fix it himself.
Something i’ve seen him compared to is Gojo who states he ‘could kill all the higher ups’ but i think a lot of people forget that he also says ‘nothing would change’ (which is funny to me because i saw the manga shot once and remembered it and i don’t watch JJK)
Tumblr media
There’s a few reason’s this doesn’t work for Kakashi
1) OG Kakashi couldn’t do that.
Kakashi in OG Naruto wasn’t on par with Hiruzen. He’d lose that fight. Yes he’s an assassine but Hiruzen is a Hokage level shinobi.
He’s not going to be snuck up on that easy and in a 1 vs 1 battle Og Kakashi is not winning. War arc or Hokage Kakashi might win, but not OG Kakashi. He still has a lot of growing to do in his skills.
2) as Gojo said, nothing would change
If Kakashi could and did kill Hiruzen, then what? Tsunade maybe gets convonced to take the job or Danzo gets it. Kakashi ends up a Rogue Ninja away from all his friends, painted as the bad guy for trying to in-force his beliefs over everyone?
Gai is on par with Kakashi. Maybe he could take the rest of Konoha but Gai, Jiraiya (if he’s there), Tsunade (if she’s there)
Like, they’d all probably turn on him and try to kill him. He wouldn’t be there hero. No one would be throwing him parties.
He’d be the bad guy in everyone’s eyes.
This man has lost so much that i think that would shatter him. He wouldn’t have any more will to fight ir change shit. His will to fight the system is already so broken even when we see him go against orders.
3) it doesn’t match Kakashi’s established ‘style’
Kakashi isn’t someone who does things alone. His main motto is teamwork.
If Kakashi were to go against the system and try to change it, he’d do it with his friends. He’d convince them that the system is broken (or maybe they realize themselves like Gai) and that they need to change it.
He’d probably avoid killing.
Kakashi was an assassine but as soon as he gained power he changed the law so instead of killing enemies shinobi were to capture them.
If Kakashi can think of a way to do things without killing, he will. Everyone has a different answer to changing things (Sasuke=kill everyone, Obito & madara= eternal dream, Nagato = making everyone else suffer). Kakashi’s answer is peaceful solution where there can be one.
4) that’s not the point of this story
Naruto wants to be Hokage. Do i think he should have changed and recognized the system? Yes. But that’s not how Kishi wrote it.
In Kishi’s story as we read it, anyone directly against the system is bad no matter what their solution. Zabuza is bad until he ‘changes his mind before death’, Obito is bad until he switches side, Sasuke is bad until Naruto ‘convinces him’)
Kishi would only write Kakashi lashing out directly against the system if he wanted to make Kakashi into a bad guy in his story. Since Kakashi is one of his good guys, he had him silently and slowly changing the system with his own actions and teachings.
Kishi simply didn’t write Kakashi being against the syatem in the same way the JJK author wrote Gojo being against the system because his world is very black and white. Good and bad. (Even though Gojo’s solution is the exact same as Kakashi’s).
Kakashi is a character i believe should have been more against the current system, demanding change because he has lost so much to that system. But that’s simply not the character Kishi wrote.
Edit: may I add this man would absolutely go to bat for his students. He defied Hiruzen to save Tenzo from Danzo. He tell’s his student’s to always put their teammates before their mission and that extebds to putting his precious people over the village if he has to.

fuckboy!kakashi x reader This was a request from my old blog. I’m not giving it a title because I am lazy xo. (side note: i do not see kakashi as as fuckboy unless very specific circumstances in his anbu years occur)
unedited + 12.5k words ....oops. THERE IS SMUT IN THIS, MDNI
“Why don’t you take off the mask? I want to see how good I’m making you feel.” The woman, whose name he had already forgotten, bit her lip as she looked down at Kakashi. She was currently straddling his hips and her fingers were dancing around his neck, too close to the edges of his mask for him to be comfortable. He sits up, bringing his face closer to the woman above him.
He’s never thought the mask to be a problem. Some girls even found it hot that they couldn’t really see him, couldn’t really kiss him. They’ll moan against the mask and whine about wanting him to take it off, but he never does. It’s not like it’ll take away from their pleasure because he always did leave them satisfied. It obviously wasn’t as big of a deal if women were still lining up for a chance to get in bed with him.
“It stays on.” He simply replies to her before moving his hands down in between her legs. She moans when he moves her panties aside and starts to play with her. Apparently, she didn’t get the hint. Her hands got as far as hooking under his mask before they were yanked away by the man under her.
“What did I just say?” Kakashi stares at the woman above him and begins to rethink his actions. He wanted to fuck, but was the lay really worth it if she was going to be irritating? He ponders if he should go through the trouble of tying her up, but truth be told, he wasn’t really having it that day. It’s not the first time that someone has asked him to remove the mask before they fuck, but usually, they got the hint after he rejects their request.
He moves the woman off of his lap and she begins to apologize, realizing how she was coming off.
“Don’t worry about it.” He mumbles to her as he gets up to put on his shirt and vest. He has his headband on and over his eye and before the woman knows it, he’s gone. He left her in her bed, cursing herself for ruining the one chance she had to sleep with the infamous Kakashi Hatake.
He had gathered quite a reputation, both in the shinobi world and in the civilian world. Of course, they were two stark different reputations, but a reputation, nonetheless. As Kakashi walks down the quiet streets of Konoha, he finds that his mind is anything but. He thinks about how he even got himself in that situation and finds himself regretting it when he remembers.
Earlier in the day, Kakashi had gone to the academy to pick up some papers. It was there that he saw Y/N. He remembers the way his heartfelt when she gave him a sweet greeting, sporting a beautiful smile. She even brought him a copy of her favourite book. He gave her a smile of his own.
“Oh, Y/N thank you, but you didn’t have to do this.” He takes the gift out of her hands and looks at the cover. He remembers her bringing the book up, but truth be told he doesn’t remember a single thing that she said about it. He was too focused on the way her lips were moving when she talked. He was too entranced with the way her eyes shined in the sun. He was too distracted by her smile to even think about what she was saying.
“Don’t mention it.” She politely waves him off, “I hope you do end up liking it.” They had talked for a little bit, and something about the way she talked about her students made his stomach somersault.
He always feels lovesick after talking to her. He knows that it’s a simple fix, but he didn’t have the courage to ask her out. He didn’t know if he ever will and that’s something he’s trying to come to terms with. The moment with Y/N was short-lived. She was called away by Iruka to help out with something, but she didn’t leave without giving him one last near heart-attack.
Instead of waving goodbye to him she reached out and squeezed his arm, giving him an apologetic smile.
“I’ll see you later?” She asks him, and he simply nodded, too flustered from the proximity of the two.
That’s when whats-her-face ran into him as he left. Now that Kakashi thinks about it, that woman was waiting for him outside of the Academy. She had caught him at the perfect time. He was mostly in a good mood after talking to Y/N, but something was missing. He needed more of her touch. Fortunately for him, he knows where he can find the attention that he’s craving, but he only wishes he can get it from her.
Unfortunately, enough though when he really thinks about it, he hasn’t fully slept with anyone since Y/N kissed his cheek while he walked a drunk her and drunk Iruka home over a month ago. He’s gotten as far as letting them strip his vest but then something in him makes him stop everything. In this case, it had been the woman annoying him, but he can’t deny that in many other cases it had been because he’s opened his eyes kissing them and realized that it wasn’t his girl.
As Kakashi turns another corner, he lets out another frustrated sigh. He was frustrated both sexually and just with himself. If he could just gather the courage to say something to her then maybe he can finally be happy. He’s spent far too long pitying himself and he’s gotten to the point where he’s willing to give love a chance. It’s caught him by surprise the first time he realizes it, when Y/N first smiled at him. It was something about her that drew him in every time he saw her.
And once again, he finds himself thinking about the one girl he really cared for. There have been countless times he’s asked himself how she managed to get past his walls without him noticing. He once even thought that she had cast some kind of jutsu on him, but that idea was scratched quickly when he realized just how dumb it sounded.
Kakashi stops in his tracks when he hears his name called. He turns around curiously, wondering who in the right mind was up at this hour. When he recognizes the familiar figure approaching him, he immediately straightens his posture.
“Y/N?” Her name comes out more like a question and he can’t help the little flip his stomach does when he sees her in regular clothing. Her hair is down, and he wishes upon the twinkling stars of the night sky that he will be blessed with this sight again.
There was something about her running towards him in the soft moonlight that made him second guess if he was dreaming or not. She had a basket in one arm and her jounin jacket in the other.
“What are you doing up this late?” She steals the question right from his lips. He sees her eyes glance down to his dishevelled clothes before seeing her smile falter slightly. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why he looked like this late at night.  He opens his mouth, wanting to give her some sort of explanation but he can’t find the words. What would he even say?
“Actually, I’m glad I ran into you. I have something for you.” She opens her basket. Where did she have to go that was so important that it had to be at this time? And did she have to be alone? His mouth twitches into a frown under his mask, and he grows mildly irritated by her seemingly carefree attitude. He debates if he should tell her that she shouldn’t be out this late, at least not alone. Before he could come to a decision, she pulls out a file. He’s even more baffled now but he takes the scroll from her.
“It’s from the Hokage. It’s the official invitation to the graduation ceremony.” She explains to him. She doesn’t give him much time to respond before she moves around him to keep walking. Kakashi wants to stop her, but he doesn’t know what he can say to her that will get her to stop. So, with his head now hung even lower than before, he makes his way home.
The following two weeks were bleak for Kakashi. There was no mission for him, all of his students were enjoying their time off, and he hasn’t seen Y/N in far too long for him to be comfortable with it. Usually, he might go and see what woman can hold his attention long enough for him to go home with them, but he couldn’t get the image of Y/N’s face out of his mind. He shouldn’t care about what she thinks, and yet he’s so disappointed in himself after that interaction.
Kakashi is even more disappointed with each night that passes where he doesn’t run into Y/N. He would be lying if he said he didn’t stay out longer in hopes of seeing her again. He has changed his usual route to increase his chances. Hell, he even sent a clone once to help him look. Each night he had failed to find her, and it’s not until he’s called into the Hokage’s office that he sees her again.
Kakashi knocks on the door to the office and patiently waits to be invited in. He’s surprised when the door opens, and Y/N is standing there. She gives him a signature sweet smile before moving to the side to let him in.
“Okay, now that everyone is here, we can get started.”
The meeting with the Hokage was the for the most part, uneventful. He was assigned on a mission with Y/N, and to say he’s not excited would be a flat out lie. Y/N walks out with him, and for the first time in a while, he hears her calming voice.
“What time do you think we should leave tomorrow?”
He’s mildly disappointed that she kept the conversation professional, but then again, they did just leave the office.
“Well, it takes about 27 hours to get to that village. It’ll probably take two days to get there, so the earlier we leave, the better.” They both stop outside of the building. He takes in her appearance. Her hair was held back by her forehead protector, and her usual shinobi attire was scuffed up. He noticed the distressed attire, and he can’t remember if it looked like this the last time he saw her or not.
“Did you just get back from a mission?” He can’t stop himself from asking. He feels his cheeks flush when she makes eye contact with him, her eyes glistening happily.
“I did. The Sand Village needed help retrieving stolen documents from the Hidden Sound.” He mirrors her smile, not that she could see it anyways.
“How was it?” He continues the conversation, hoping that she would stay and talk to him for a little longer. They begin to walk together as he listens intently to how her mission went. He admired her for loving her work and admires her even more with the way she talks about her comrades. She always spoke so highly of them, and she never had a bad word to say about anyone.
They reach her house quicker than Kakashi would like, and she fully turns to the man in front of her.
“Soooo do you want to meet tomorrow at 6?”
Kakashi’s brain short circuits for a second, thinking that she was asking him out on a date. He watches her eyebrows pinch together in thought.
“Is that too early for you? I’ve heard Naruto complain about you being late.” She giggles quietly to herself, and Kakashi hopes to hear it again. He realizes what she meant and shakes his head, as if to clear the thoughts of how a date with her would go. He plays it off as if he was replying to her question.
“No, no. That should be fine. I’ll see you tomorrow.” He smiles and waits for her to go safely inside before leaving to go to his own home, his mind swimming with thoughts of her smile and laugh.
The next morning, Kakashi gets up earlier than usual. He wants to blame it on the birds chirping outside, but the nerves tingling in his stomach say otherwise. He grabs his packed bags and sets out the main village gates. He sees another figure there, resting along the wall. The closer he gets, the clearer the figure.
“Y/N?” He calls out, recognizing her smaller frame when he gets closer. She turns around and looks over, smiling politely at him.
“What are you doing here early?”
“Couldn’t really sleep.” She shrugs, “I guess I was nervous for this mission because I couldn’t stop waking up. Figured I get here early.” She lies, knowing full well that she was excited for this one-on-one mission with the man she’s had her eye on for a while. Of course, she would never let him know that, knowing about his reputation. It’s a recipe for a bad heartbreak, and it’s something that she would avoid at all costs. The only response Kakashi gives her is a nod, choosing not to voice his disapproval of her not getting a good night’s rest.
They both climb up the nearest trees right outside the gates and set out to the inn they’re supposed to stay at. They’re both flying through the trees, both of them keeping up with each other easily. Neither of them would say it, but they’re both enjoying the company significantly, even if no words have been exchanged in between them. At one point, Kakashi even begins to push off the same trees as Y/N, and she looks over at him briefly. He gives her a close eyed smile, one so soft that Y/N almost trips on her own two feet.
“Do you want to race?” She calls over to him, noticing him land at the same place and at the same time as her. He looks over at her, and something about her aura briefly reminded him of his dear friend, Gai. Maybe it was how she was always positive. He’s never really seen her in a bad mood. Maybe it was because anytime he had seen her spar, he would notice how good her taijutsu was (not that her ninjutsu or genjutsu wasn’t any good, but he hasn’t seen those as much as her hand-to-hand combat). Maybe it was because she was challenging him to a race right now, and he was not one to back down from a challenge, not anymore.
“What’s the finish line?”
“There’s a river a couple miles up ahead. We should be getting there by midday; it might be good to stop for some water and food.” Kakashi agrees to the plan and waits for her to say that the race has started.
“Go!” She exclaims excitedly, moving past Kakashi, who was baffled that he had no warning before she started the race. He chuckles quietly to himself, her good mood rubbing off on him easily. He chases after her, noticing that she really did move quickly. They were both necks in neck, racing towards the river up ahead.
A few hours pass and the two of them finally reach the river, both of them panting from the run. They both stop in front of the water, look at each other, and laugh between themselves.
“I thought you said it was only a few miles away,” Kakashi comments with a smile under his mask as he dips his hands in the river to wash his face.
“Is it a good time to say that I’m not the best at guessing distances?” Y/N says shyly, taking a few swigs of her water. She notices Kakashi turning towards his bags, back to her. She watches his arm muscles move underneath the long-sleeved blue shirt. She shifts in her seated position when he tilts his head back to drink some water. What she would give to see his face.
Y/N was already attracted to him, well, she frequently asks herself who isn’t? But there was something about seeing a more playful side of him with her today that made her feel that much more for the jounin in front of her. He’s always had a place in her heart, for she felt for his pain when he lost his father and best friends. Like Gai, she had tried her best to lift his spirits when they were younger. Gai was more relentless than her, and she had a fear of annoying the laid-back shinobi. She wishes she never gave into the crush on him. He shifts again in his sitting position, and it looks like he’s pulling his mask back up. He turns back to Y/N, who is now blushing madly for being caught staring at him.
“So…who won?” Y/N asks, leaning back on her hands.
“I’m pretty sure it was me.”
“Hm..” Y/N hums, squinting her eyes at him, “I don’t think so. Pretty sure I got here before you, so I think you owe me dinner.” She teases.
“I don’t think we ever agreed to loser buying the winner dinner.”
She grabs a portion of food out of her pack, as does Kakashi.
“No? Well, I don’t think I agreed to you winning that race. In fact, I’m sure you were behind me when we landed.” Y/N smiles as she picks up her chopsticks.
“If you wanted me to buy you dinner, you just had to ask. No need to lie about winning the race.” He teases her, and the kunoichi shakes her head, enjoying this side of him. Before she could say anything, he speaks up, voice laced with concern.
“You’re bleeding.” Kakashi sets his food down and immediately turns to retrieve a little medical kit from his bag. Y/N looks down at her thigh and gasps.
“Shoot, I must have popped a stitch.” She stands immediately, moving away from the worried shinobi next to her.
“What are you doing?” He asks, watching her wobble behind a tree.
“I’m changing the bandages,” Y/N calls out. She makes sure she’s out of his view before she pulls her pants down.
“Shit.” She mutters quietly, seeing the fresh wound open again. Y/N sighs, grabbing a bandage from her bag, deciding that she would have to deal with it later. She wraps it up quickly, and rounds the tree, running straight into Kakashi.
“Are you alright? Did you open the stitches?” He asks, looking at your now stained pants. Y/N waves him off, telling him a reassuring don’t worry but he doesn’t believe her. He decides not to push her, instead going back to their food. She’s mildly disappointed to see that his food is all gone. Maybe the next time they eat, she’ll get to see his face.
“I’m carrying this from now on. You shouldn’t put any extra weight on that leg.” Kakashi’s usually cool, relaxed voice is back, a change that she notices from his previously lighter tone. It disappoints her, but she brushes it off. She opens her mouth to argue, but he’s already jumped up to the trees. She follows him, hot on his trail.
“You know, you don’t have to carry my bag,” Y/N calls out, hoping that she’s not sounding ungrateful. Kakashi doesn’t reply to her. She frowns, wondering if she had done something wrong.
The rest of the day was silent between the two, nothing like the first half. Y/N had spent it worrying if she had said something to him, and he spends it wondering why the Hokage would send her on a mission if she was still injured. He wasn’t in a good mood, now worried that Y/N was in jeopardy from her injury. They stop a couple of hours later, Kakashi sensing Y/N slowing down.
“We can camp here for the night,” Kakashi announces, releasing a protective jutsu around them. He notes how deep into the forest in the Land of Fire. Pretty soon, they would be in foreign territory. Kakashi notes that he would have to travel close to his comrade tomorrow in any case they get into danger.
Y/N began unpacking her bag, pulling out her sleeping bag and a basket. Kakashi unpacks the book she gave him. He sets up his sleeping bag next to a tree and leans against the trunk for some light reading. He can’t help but let his eyes slip past the book in his hands and to kunoichi in front of him. Kakashi grows more irritated with the situation at hand. The last thing she needs to do is stand.
“Where are you going?” He can’t help but ask.
“To go gather some medicinal flowers.”
“Is that where you go in the middle of the night?” He asks, not realizing how creepy that could have sounded if she didn’t run into him the other night.
“Yes.”
“What do the flowers look like?”
“White, with black specks on them.”
Kakashi picks up the basket next to the girl.
“Don’t worry about it. Now get some rest, Y/N. Tomorrow we’ll walk. If we follow the river downstream, we should get there by sundown.” He doesn’t spare her a glance.
“Sundown? But-“
“We’re walking. No fast travelling, no trees, no races.” Kakashi’s cold gaze snaps over to Y/N. She’s already re-opened her wound and he will not risk making it worse by playing childish games with her. He mentally scolds himself for getting carried away with her. The girls' shoulders visibly slouched, confused as to why she was picking up disappointing tones from him. Maybe he was coming off harsh towards her, but he doesn’t want to argue with her about walking tomorrow so he was hoping to come off as if there was no other option. with his stubbornness, there really wasn’t.
Y/N doesn’t say anything to him. Instead, she decides to call it a night. She would wake herself up in a few hours to let him rest as well. Kakashi leaves the girl to collect the flowers. It doesn’t take him long. The area they were around was covered with the speckled flowers. He begins to pick the flowers one by one, wondering what this would have been like with Y/N by his side. He wonders how many nights she’s out in the forest picking the flowers for the medical staff. His stomach churns at the thought of something happening to her at that time of night. He physically shakes his head, wanting to get rid of the thoughts that were crossing his mind.
He begins to think of something more positive. He finds himself thinking that he was grateful that he gets to go on a mission with her. He gets to have a full understanding of what her feelings towards him were. She’s always been so kind to him, but he could never understand why. He’s happy that Gai isn’t there with them, only because he’s the only one in the village that knows how he feels about the kunoichi. And once again, his thoughts are back to her.
With a heavy sigh, he goes back to their minicamp and plops himself down against the tree to read. Kakashi spends his time switching his attention from the sleeping kunoichi in front of him and his book. He notices how her lips pout in her sleep, and he can’t explain it but he has the urge to kiss the plump lip. He doesn’t know for how long he’s under her enchantment, but he does know that he saw the lip tremble. He closes the book and gets up quietly. He grabs his own blanket from his sleeping bag and drapes it over her body. He doesn’t think that he’ll need it for the rest of the night because truth be told, he had no intention of waking her up for her watch. His clone comes back a few hours later, a basket full of the flowers she had requested.
Y/N wakes up the next morning to smell of eggs and the sound of fire crackling. She lets out a yawn and sits up, so at peace with herself that she momentarily forgot where she was at the moment.
“Kakashi!” She exclaims out, noticing the bright sun that shined above the two of them. He has one hand moving the food around a makeshift pan and the eggs on it while the other is holding the book you gave him earlier. He only hums in response, turning the page to his book.
“Why didn’t you wake me up? Did you get any rest?” She sits up, not missing the extra blanket on top of her body.
“Plenty. All I did was sit around.”
“That’s not resting.” She says, irritated with the man in front of her. A wave of guilt washed over her. How could she sleep so soundly when he clearly needed it more? Kakashi doesn’t reply to her and instead hands her a plate of food.
“Aren’t you going to eat?” She asks, grabbing the plate.
“I already ate earlier.” Kakashi begins to clean everything up, letting the sleepy kunoichi enjoy her breakfast. He packs almost everything, leaving the sleeping bag she was sitting on to be packed last. Keeping his promise from the day before, he carries most of the bags, ignoring the comment she made saying that she could carry it.
The rest of the trip and the mission itself was uneventful for the most part. Both of their abilities complement each other, something Kakashi is waiting for the Hokage to recognize so they can be paired more often. He’s hoping at least. The mission itself only lasted a few hours. They were able to extract the information they needed quickly and undetected. Kakashi would have been lying if he said that he wasn’t concerned about her leg. However, considering that she hadn’t complained about it nor had there been any signs of the wound reopening he forced the worry to the back of his mind.
The travel back to the village was just as uneventful as the mission itself. He had given in to her constant begging and let her carry her own stuff, but he made sure to keep an eye on her pace and her leg to make sure she wasn’t putting a “tough” face on. They stopped around the same area they had on the way there, but this time Y/N made sure that she would take the first watch, and even gave Kakashi a taste of his own medicine and didn’t wake him up for his turn.
By the time they arrived back to the village, it was late at night. The gates of Konoha came into view, and the two of them dropped down from the trees and walked in. Kakashi couldn’t help but feel disappointed that he would no longer have an excuse to spend time with her.
“Do you think Lady Hokage is still in her office?” Y/N breaks the comfortable silence between the two.
“I don’t know, she might already be at the bar.” Kakashi jokes, although there was a possibility that there was truth to his words. He smiles under his mask when Y/N lets out a hearty laugh, agreeing with the man next to her.
“Maybe. Should we report to her tomorrow then?” She stops walking as soon as they enter the village and turns to Kakashi.
“That’ll probably be best. Besides, it buys us time to have the mission report ready.”
“Buys you time to have the mission report ready.” Y/N comments, taking a drink from her water bottle.
“When did you have the time to write yours?”
“When you were sleeping.”
“Oh, you mean when you didn’t wake me up for my watch?”
“Watch it, Hatake. You did it to me first.” Y/N smiles, seeing the crinkles forming on the sides of his eyes, indicating that he enjoys their banter as much as she did.
“Anyways..” She trails off and looks in the direction of her home. She didn’t want this mission to end. If she was being completely honest, she almost wished that the mission didn’t go so smoothly just so she could spend another day with the man next to her. She didn’t expect to enjoy this mission so much, especially since data-retrieval one’s weren’t her favorite but the company she had made it worth it.
“Can I walk you home?” Kakashi asks, catching her off guard. She nods, happy that he seems to enjoy her company as much as she enjoyed his. Although the walk between the two was silent, the thoughts in their own minds was anything but. Kakashi spent the walk debating what they would talk about. He didn’t want to bring up any work stuff, nor anything to do with the mission before. He glances over to Y/N, who in her own mind is having debates on whether or not she should be the one to break the silence or not.
“I’m enjoying the book you lent me, thank you again,” he starts, hoping that he could get her to do most of the talking in order to learn more about her. Y/N smiles over at the man, nearly taking his breath away. He takes note of just how much he loves receiving her beaming smiles, not that it was news to him.
“Of course. You’re always reading Icha Icha, not that there’s anything wrong with them, but I thought you might like a different story.”
“It was very thoughtful of you.” Kakashi compliments. It was well known that Y/N was a sweetheart, and the fact that she was still single really baffles Kakashi. He had hope that maybe one day he would grow a pair and ask her out, but he always blames it on not having the right time to say—or do—anything. He doesn’t miss the blush that brushes her cheeks, and he has half a heart to pull down his mask and lean in down to kiss them. He wonders if it would make her blush more, or if she would even give her a kiss of her own. He shakes his head, realizing she had said something to him.
“What was that?” He asks, turning his attention forward. It would be better for him not to be distracted by her.
“I was asking what you liked about it.”
“Oh…well I like that Mikasa (iykyk) is bold. She doesn’t let any fear slow her down or stop her from getting what she wants.” He replies. It’s ironic, how much he admires the main character of the story and how she can do anything she sets her mind to and yet here he is, a well-known shinobi who can’t even muster the courage to ask out a comrade.
“Yeah..I really wish I had her bravery. Definitely would be in a different place right now if I did.” Y/N chuckles.
“How do you mean?” Kakashi can’t help but ask. He couldn’t agree more with her comment, although he doubts that she’s thinking the same thing he is. If he had the same courage, the kunoichi next to him would be more than a comrade to him, and he wouldn’t have the reputation that he had with the civilians of the village. The girl next to him blushes even more, but with the ideal world Kakashi is building in his mind, he misses it.
“Well, I just mean that maybe I still wouldn’t be single…” Y/N trails off, “o-or maybe I would have even gotten the right order if I said something to that fisherman back in the village.”
She worries for a second that she got too personal with Kakashi. They both now stood at her doorstep, watching each other in silence. She doesn’t know what to do, and Kakashi is lost in his own mind wondering if these were the signs, he’s been looking for all this time. All this talk about bravery, getting what one wants, her being single, were they hints?
Kakashi takes a step closer to her, causing her to crane her neck to keep the eye contact they’ve been holding for who knows how long. Tentatively, he reaches a hand to cup her cheek, relishing in the soft skin against his hand. He only wishes he took off his fingerless gloves to fully caress her cheek, but he ditches any thoughts he had as he musters up the courage to lean in. He’s carefully watching her actions and took the fact that she didn’t flinch or move away from him as a good sign. She seems like she’s leaning in too, and Kakashi’s heart feels like it’s going to jump out of his chest from sheer excitement. He only stops leaning in when she speaks up, her words confusing him.
“I don’t trust myself.”
“What do you mean?” He’s still close to her, hand still on her cheek.
“I don’t want to hook up with you and then regret it later.”
“Why would you regret it?” He frowns at her words, dropping his hand from her face.
“I’m scared I’m going to catch feelings and then I’ll have to see you with other women. I’d rather save myself the hurt.” Y/N spoke so quietly that if the village hadn’t been completely silent, he wouldn’t have heard her. His mind was racing at the moment. He watches her in silence as she fishes around her bag to find the key to her place.
“Y-you’re the only one that I want.”  He stammers, trying to find the right words to say.
“How many times have you used that one?” She asks in disbelief. She didn’t say it in a malicious way, nor did she seem upset judging by the way she smiled. Maybe she meant it in a joking way, but Kakashi was in no mood for jokes with what was at stake.
He had finally had the courage to nearly kiss the girl he actually liked, and he had no idea how he was going to convince her that she really was the one he had been wanting all along. How was he going to explain to her that everyone else he slept with was purely for need and because he couldn’t really have her? That sounded so cliché it made him cringe internally. He’s left standing alone on her porch before he can get a simple ‘wait’ out.
The next morning, he meets her at the Hokage’s office, neither of them making eye contact when they greet each other. Kakashi steals a glance at her, and from the looks of it, she must have stayed up all night as well. He frowns to himself, wondering if he should speak up and apologize for his behaviour the night before. Deciding that it was better to mention it at another time, he turns his attention to the Hokage.
Both of them turn in their mission reports and wait to be dismissed. Lady Tsunade had a few questions here and there, but for the most part, everything seemed fine. Kakashi wanted nothing more than to be dismissed so he could talk to his comrade, but she seemed to have other plans. As soon as Tsunade dismissed them, she had asked if she could stay and talk to her for a moment.
As Kakashi leaves the office, he wonders what Y/N might have to tell her. It really could have been anything, but he lets his mind drift off to the worst possible scenario just because he loves to torture himself. Could she be requesting that they never get paired again? Would she be complaining about the mission? Negative thoughts flooded his mind as he walked down the stairs. Would things be different between them now? Before he could continue spiralling down the negative void, Maito Gai hooks his arm around his neck, catching him by surprise for the first time.
“Ah! My eternal rival has come back! Are you ready to put our skills to the test once again?” The jounin practically yells in his ear.
“What will it be this time?” His enthusiasm continued as he jumped in front of Kakashi, effectively stopping him in his tracks. His hands were out as if he was prepared to fight him. “Rock paper scissors? Another sushi-eating contest?” He asks, smile faltering when Kakashi sticks his hands in his pocket and makes his way around Gai.
“Not now, Gai.” And with that, he leaves back to his house.
A couple of days go by, and he’s convinced that Y/N is avoiding him. He had run into her at the market, and she kept the conversation sweet, but short. The other day he had spotted her at the bookstore, but before he could go up to say something to her, one of the women he’s previously slept with had ruined the moment for him. As soon as the woman spoke his name, he watched Y/N tense and walk in the other direction. The next time he sees her, they’re all out celebrating Genma’s birthday, and if her body language was anything to go by, she wasn’t the only one that was forced to be there.
Currently, they were about three or four rounds in, and everyone was beginning to let loose. Well, everyone aside from Y/N and Kakashi. He wants to go talk to her more than anything, but it’s like every time he sees her, she’s talking to someone new. He gets up to get a round of drinks for everyone, hoping that it would give him an excuse to interject the conversation she was having with Gai. Yamato joins Kakashi at the bar.
“So Y/N, you haven’t said a single word about your last mission.” Gai notes, filling his glass with more beer, “usually you have plenty to say about how things went, let alone how great your comrades were. What’s different this time? Is it because you admire Kakashi in a different way?” He raises her eyebrows suggestively, making the girl flustered.
“No!” She’s quick to deny, hoping that she doesn’t seem suspicious, “nothing really happened on it. It went really smoothly.”
“Come on, you’re telling me that you had a three-day mission, and nothing happened?”
“Nothing aside from kicking ass.”
“Wow...And here I thought that he would finally make a move on you.” Gai hiccups, pouring himself another beer. His words catch Y/N off guard, and she goes against her better judgement and asks the nearly wasted ninja in front her for clarification. She knows that he probably shouldn’t be saying anything, but the opportunity to get anything out of Kakashi’s closest comrade was too rare for her to pass up.
“Well, it’s no secret he has a thing for you. Has for a while…”
“He sleeps around with women in Konoha. In what language does that mean that he likes me?”
“Used to.” Gai corrects, waving his beer around, nearly spilling it on the table, “one of my dear friends used to be a frequent flyer with him but apparently, he stopped after Iruka’s birthday about two months ago.” He lets out another hiccup before downing the rest of his beer. Y/N is lost in her thoughts, wondering if any of his drunken words held truth to them. What had happened two months ago that made him suddenly stop? Her eyes trail to the man in question, watching Yamato torture the man.
“Come on, Kakashi! What has gotten into you?” Yamato slaps the man’s back. It was harder than he had intended to but with the few rounds of beer he had in him, he found it difficult to control his strength. “I thought that you enjoyed her company.”
“Enjoying the sex we have is not the same as enjoying her company.” Kakashi comments, wondering when this dreadful conversation will end.
“Why are you such in a rush to get back to Gai? Do you think he’s telling her about your latest conquests? Although you did say you haven’t been…hey where are you-“ Before Yamato could finish his sentence, Kakashi is making his way to stop Gai from ruining any chance he has with Y/N, but is stopped on the way by the birthday man himself.
“Kakashi! My maaan!” Genma, clearly wasted and enjoying his birthday hugs both Yamato and Kakashi, uncharacteristically gushing to the men how much he appreciates them coming. Kakashi’s heart sinks when he sees Y/N standing up.
“I should get going,” Y/N says, wondering why she was torturing herself asking Gai these questions. He was clearly drunk, and there really was no way to tell if his words were true or not. She makes her way out, not bothering to say goodbye to anyone. Even if she had, there’s no telling who would remember it or not. She finally makes it out of the bar, taking a deep breath in the fresh air. She begins to walk home, Gai’s words floating around her head.
“Y/N!” She hears her name being called and turns around. Upon seeing who had called her name, she wishes silently that she hadn’t turned around. Kakashi runs up to her, and if she hadn’t known any better, she wouldn’t have noticed how nervous he looked. She was taken aback by his appearance. The one eye she could see had the brow pulled down in a worrisome manner, his eyes wide as he searched her face for any sign of her being upset.
“I’m so sorry…” He begins, causing her to grow even more confused. “I don’t know how much Gai has told you or really what exactly he has told you but it’s not true.” He hurries out, worried that all the efforts he had put in to show her that he’s so much more than the reputation he carries were thrown out the window by mere words of his drunk friend.
Y/N tries her best not to look disappointed. Her stomach and shoulders drop at the news. Surely, she must have known that Gai had been lying. How could Kakashi like her? She was an average shinobi, and average looking girl, and not to mention probably not the most interesting person in the world. Had she voiced her thoughts out loud, the frustrated man in front of her would have corrected her on all those things. He thought the world of her. If only either of them could speak their mind with the other.
“Oh.” It was the only thing she could say. She looks down at her feet, feeling her eyes begin to sting. “Right, well. If that’s all you had to say...” She trails off, blinking away any signs of tears and throws on a smile before she looks back up to Kakashi. His expression has changed to one of confusion. He could tell that her smile was fake, even if it would have been believable to anyone else.
“Have I said something to upset you?” Kakashi asks, and Y/N wants to scoff at his concern.
“No. Goodnight.” She says curtly. She wanted nothing more than to go home and cry into her pillow from how horrible this night was. She was forced to come out to celebrate a comrade’s birthday, only for her to gain some stupid hope that she could be with Kakashi only for it to be crushed moments later. She doesn’t know if she’s upset with herself for believing Gai’s words or with Kakashi for being so charming, although the latter wouldn’t completely be his fault.
She turns on her heels and walks even faster away from Kakashi, leaving him confused and standing outside the bar alone. He has to stop himself from going after her, knowing just how annoying it can be to want to be alone and for people to annoy you. He retraces his steps, wondering where he could have gone wrong.
Y/N locks herself in her room that night, letting the tears fall freely now. She plops herself down on her bed and stares at the blurry ceiling. How could she have been so stupid to think that he might have liked her? She scolds herself for believing Gai’s drunken words so easily. She knew deep down that it was something she’s longed to hear from her comrade. Maybe she believed him so easily because they almost kissed the night they arrived in the village. She shakes her head, telling herself that they were both tired from the mission and looking for some company. If she had a stronger heart then she would have indulged herself that night. Y/N turns over in her bed and looks out her window and tells herself that she’ll get over him. Her mind loves torturing her, so of course, she dreams of what could have happened that night if they kissed that night.
The next day, Kakashi goes to the Hokage’s office.
“You asked for me Lady Hokage?”
“Yes. Could you help set up for the graduation ceremony? We’re a little short on helping hands. I have a couple of people signed up already but Iruka says he needs more.”
“What time?”
“There are several slots still open.” She motions for him to come closer to his desk as she pulls out a list. He looks over the names, spotting Y/N’s signed up for the earlier time slot.
“Is this what Y/N wanted to talk about the other day?” He wonders. Tsunade’s smile grew, and from the twitch in the corner of her lips, he could tell that she expected him to ask.
“No. It was nothing serious. She only asked to be off a couple of missions so she could fully recover.” She shrugged. The man quietly sighs to himself in relief. He picks up a pen, tempted to write his name below Y/N’s. He bites his lip under his mask, wondering if he should be so obvious to fill out the empty slot right under her name when there were so many other time slots to choose from. He writes his name down in the time slot after, telling himself that he could catch her on the way out. Before he could leave, Tsunade calls out to him.
“Oh, one more thing. Y/N left her forehead protector here, by the way. Would you mind getting that back to her?” Tsunade smirks, clearly suspicious of his feelings towards the kunoichi. Of course, she could just ask Y/N to come by and retrieve it, but she wanted to gauge Kakashi’s reaction. He simply nods, not giving her as much information from the gesture as she would have liked. At least now he had a valid reason to go see her.
Kakashi finds taking the scenic route. He doesn’t know if he’s buying himself time to think over what he was going to say to her or if he was simply avoiding any confrontation with her. He remembers her getting upset with him last night, but regardless of how many times he racks his brain, he can’t come up with a reason. Maybe she was still upset that he tried to kiss her. He finds himself walking to the pharmacy. He needed to pick up a refill of his prescription anyways. It’s there that he runs into Gai, who was looking through the aspirin bottles. It was one of the few times that the taijutsu specialist ever looked so….calm. Undoubtedly it must be consequences from the previous night. Usually, Kakashi would just let Gai approach him, ready for whatever nonsense he would be spewing, but he needed a couple of answers before he would go to see Y/N.
“No training today?” Kakashi asks, apparently too loudly for the man as he winced at his words and groaned.
“No. I’ll be in bed serving my time for my bad choices yesterday.” It was strange to hear his voice with little to no enthusiasm in it. Alcohol was really the only thing that could quiet down Maito Gai.
“Do you remember any of it?” He asks, looking through the rows of pill bottles to make sure he didn’t need anything else. Gai visibly tensed, and Kakashi prepared himself for what was to come.
“Yes..” he sports a frown and drops his head down guiltily “and I’m sorry I have failed you as a friend.”
“How do you mean?” Kakashi hopes that he doesn’t come off as desperate for answers as he is with how quickly he asked the follow-up question.
“I told Y/N that you like her. I’m sorry, I know you entrusted me with that information and I—”
“Wait, what?” Kakashi’s taken back by his words, his stomach churning in response. He quickly returns to his usual cool composure, deciding that he would freak out on the inside.
“I’m. sorry for betraying you.” He looks over at Gai, who was nearly in tears. Kakashi rolls his eyes at his overdramatic comrade. Maybe he should have been mad at him for telling Y/N something like that. It’s not like he ever outwardly told him that he liked her, but Gai knew him so well that for him it was something as clear as day. Maybe he should have been mad but given the other things he could have told her, what he thought he told her at least, this probably really was the best case scenario.
“Pull yourself together, Gai. We’re in public.” Kakashi scolds his sobbing friend, feeling mild secondhand embarrassment from the openly emotional man next to him. “I’m not mad. If anything, maybe I should be grateful, you did me a favour.” He almost regrets saying those words, seeing Gai look over at him with wide, watery eyes. He knew a hug was coming, but he moved quicker than the hungover jounin.
“I have to get going. I have to be somewhere.” It’s only half a lie. He’s planning on going to Y/N’s, but he remembers their last conversation and stops at the entrance of the pharmacy.
I don’t know how much Gai has told you or really what exactly he has told you but it’s not true.
Shit.
The jounin mentally slaps himself, wondering why the hell he didn’t go to Gai first to ask what was said or even ask her what she was told before blabbering out lies to her. Would that have been the last straw? Could he have been the one to ruin any chance with her? Endless questions plagued Kakashi’s mind as he thought of his next move. He looks across the street to see the Yamanaka Flower Shop and decides that it couldn’t hurt to bring her flowers.
Y/N woke up that morning in a bad mood. Her coffee machine wasn’t working, her milk spilt everywhere, and she broke one of her favourite mugs. By lunchtime, she was still grumpy about the whole ordeal in the morning, and the thoughts of yesterday’s events weren’t helping her mood. More than anything she was hurting, both from her leg and her heart. She curses herself for even going to Genma’s birthday in the first place. Why did she have to go? Why did she have to sit with Gai? Why did she have to ask questions to indulge her own fantasy? Y/N groans at the events of the day and rubs her temples in hopes of getting rid of her stress-induced headache.
She spent most of the day doing housework in an attempt to get her mind off the night before. It doesn’t do her any good with her leg hurting but she pushes past the pain, telling herself that it’s helping with the distraction. Not only that, but she can’t find her forehead protector anywhere. It’s nearly sundown by the time she finishes the last room in her apartment. She wipes her hands on her pants and decides that she should go flower picking now. If she goes any later, she might run into Kakashi either coming back or going to one of his women’s houses and she didn’t want to be reminded of it. She grabs her basket and opens the door, taking a step back in shock when she finds the devil himself standing there.
“Kakashi!” She exclaims, half in fear, half in surprise. He’s holding a small bouquet of roses in one hand and a forehead protector in the other hand. So that’s where it went. The man in front of her closes his eye, presumably smiling under his mask. His hand holding her forehead protector goes to scratch the back of his head as he speaks.
“Sorry…I didn’t mean to startle you.” He feels guilty for scaring her. Truth be told he had been standing outside her door for a while, building up the courage to knock on her door. He had gone over dozens of times what he would tell her but never came up with the perfect words.
“What are you doing here?”
“I was hoping I could talk to you.”
Y/N looks over the man in front of her, wondering if the conversation ahead of her would help her current mental state or not. Going against her better judgement, she moved to the side, allowing him inside.
“I like your place.” He comments, looking around. “Oh, also I brought you these.” He turns his attention to the curious kunoichi and presents her the bouquet. Y/N looks at the flowers and gives him a small smile, something that he took as a good sign.
“What’s the occasion?” She asks, admiring the flowers.
“I want to clear up what happened last night.”
Y/N’s gaze snaps from the flowers to Kakashi. She holds his eye contact, wondering what he could possibly have to say. He begins to shift his weight from one foot to the other, and she takes a moment to appreciate that for once, the usual laid back calm shinobi is nervously shifting in his place. He avoids her eyes and looks at the ground.
“I really don’t know how to go about this other than to tell it to you straight. What Gai told you yesterday was the truth.” He starts, looking up from the ground to study Y/N’s reaction.
Y/N thinks to pinch herself. Surely this was all a dream? A sick fantasy that her brain has created in order to cope with the pain of yesterday. Kakashi continues, wanting to clear the air as soon as possible.
“I do like you. A lot, actually. And I know I have this stupid reputation of sleeping around but I don’t want you to think that I see you like those other women.” Kakashi feels as if he’s about to throw up. He’s not used to putting his heart out on the line like this but it was now or never. “You’re so much more to me than that and I wish I had the courage to say something to you sooner instead of seeking out fake comfort from the others. I swear to you when I was going to kiss you the other night I had no intention of leaving you after.” He stops when Y/N steps closer to him.
“Gai said something yesterday that you haven’t slept with anyone in a while. What changed?” The question had been eating at Y/N for the longest time. No matter how much cleaning she did, the question still lingered in the back of her mind.
“You kissed me.” His response clearly needed clarification from the shocked look Y/N gave him, “well, my cheek.”
“When?”
“When I took you and Iruka home.”
“Why?”
“I thought that it meant I might have a chance with you. But the next day you didn’t seem to remember anything, and I was a fool for thinking that you might’ve liked me back.” Now he’s convinced he’s going to throw up from how nervous he was feeling. He hated how his stomach churned, and he hated that he didn’t know how to prepare for the rejection he was about to get. Y/N just stood there, like a doe in headlights. He opened his mouth to apologize for showing up unannounced and bombarding her with this information, but her actions catch him off guard.
It happened quickly, too fast for his liking. She had planted a brief over-the-mask kiss on his lips. The action proved to be louder than any words she could have said. She was blushing, and he loved how adorable she looked when she was all shy like that.
“I like you too.” She beamed at him. For a moment the two got lost in each other, but when she started feeling shy again, she cleared her throat.
“If I remember correctly, you do owe me dinner.” She playfully teases, calling back to the race that he won lost during their mission. She couldn’t see it, but he was smiling widely under his mask. He was happy that they were back to this playful banter.
“I suppose I do, don’t I? Would you like to come over for dinner?” He asks, setting down the forehead protector on a nearby table.
“I would love to.” She smiles, even more, when Kakashi offers her his arm and she happily loops her own around it. The two of them head out and make their way to his place. Kakashi doesn’t care for the looks that are being thrown at the two. The same probably couldn’t be said for Y/N, for some of the women glared at her in jealousy. He could sense some of her discomfort when she moved a little closer to him, a glaring woman passing by too close to her for her liking. Kakashi moves his arm around her, wanting her to feel as protected as possible.
“How was your day?” He asks, hoping to distract her from whatever negative thoughts she might’ve been thinking. The walk to his place was peaceful from there on out. He listened to everything she was saying and even told her about what had happened in the past few days. They got to talking about the book again, and it reminded Kakashi that he had to give it back since he had finished it.
Y/N entered his place and immediately noticed how clean it was. He leads her to the kitchen, another area of his home that is extremely clean. He looks through his fridge, determining the options that he could give her.
“What’s on the menu, Chef Hatake?” She asks him from the counter. He smiles at her teasing and pours both of them some sake.
“We can have some miso-soup with eggplant, an eggplant pasta, vegetable soup, or my personal specialty.”
“I think your specialty sounds too good to pass up.” She nods, watching him prepare everything.
The conversation between the two was effortless. They got to know each other more and more with each question the other asked. At some point, she even got up from the counter to watch him clean the fish, wondering how he did it. How the events led from him telling her how to take the bones out to them kissing (with his mask still on) in front of the running sink was a mystery in itself. Y/N let out little moans of approval when he pulled her closer to him, and she felt herself get excited when he began to push her back towards his bedroom. She falls back when the edge of his bed met the back of her knees but she wasted no time in pulling Kakashi down with her.
As the kiss got more and more heated, Kakashi felt the need to pull away momentarily.
“We don’t have to do this.” He whispers to her.
“You don’t want to?”
“No!” He clears his throat, “no, I just don’t want you to regret anything.”
“Am I just going to be a one night stand?”
“I wouldn’t dream of it.”
She smiles at his response and he pushes her gently back on the bed. She reaches her hands up towards the edges of his mask. For some reason, he can’t bring himself to stop her hands. It’s not like he doesn’t have time to stop her either. She’s moving her hand so slowly to his face that it has his body frozen on top of hers. Is his heart beating this quickly because of how her legs were wrapped around him?
No, it wasn’t. It was going this hard because this had been the first time someone had seen his face in a setting this intimate. It was beating this hard because he was finally bearing his full face, heart, and soul to someone. It was beating this hard because he had his love under him, looking at his face with such care in her eyes.
Her fingers gently skimmed over the scar on his left eye, and he thinks she was going to ask about it with the way the corners of her mouth pulled down, but he was grateful when her index finger moved down along his jaw. Her hand cups his chin and pulls him down for a proper kiss, at least he thought that was what was going to happen. He closes his eyes slowly as her face came closer to his and braces himself for the first real kiss that he would have. A slight pressure on his left eye makes him move away in surprise. Y/N’s eyes widen when she saw his reaction and quickly began to apologize.
“S-sorry, I didn’t mean to—” but her apologies were sealed away when his lips press against hers. His hand moved from the bed to hold her face as gently as she once held his. He kisses her slowly, taking his sweet time. He didn’t know how to communicate his feelings well with words, but damn did he know how to communicate with those lips. He tilts her head back so it’s resting against the pillow again and continues to kiss her in a way that’s ruining her panties.
Y/N spreads her legs further on the bed, allowing Kakashi to completely settle in between them. As soon as his bulge pressed against her core, she lets out a pleased sigh, one that’s swallowed by Kakashi’s mouth. She can feel him smile against her lips, and she smiles too.
Kakashi’s whole body feels like it’s floating. The way her hands move around his body is sending shivers in every direction and he wishes that her hands will always be touching him in some way. There’s comfort in the way her arms move around his neck and pull him even closer. There’s more comfort when she tugs on his hair gently. Kakashi surprises himself when he lets out a moan when she pairs a tug of his hair with a roll of her hips.
His heart is jumping with joy with every kiss she gives him. Her lips begin to trail away from his lips and move to his cheeks, nose, eyes, scar, forehead, anywhere they can reach. He can’t help the smile that overtakes his features, feeling so grateful for the love he was getting. He’s never given it a second thought when other people kiss him, but to be honest other people’s kisses weren’t making him feel so giddy inside. He can’t help but roll his hips into her core when her mouth meets his sweet spot, and he lets out a deep groan that has Y/N clenching down on nothing. His hands move down her body, and he lets his fingertips dance along the hem of her shirt. Her lips pull away from his neck as she nods at him, throwing her hands up in order to make it easier for him to pull her shirt over her head.
Kakashi groans at the sight beneath him. Y/N pulls him down to meet her lips again, getting shy from the way he was looking at her. Her hands move down his back to tug his shirt, and he seems to get the hint when he pulls away briefly to take off his shirt. Y/N doesn’t get time to admire his body. His lips are on hers in a heated kiss and they both begin to unbutton the other’s pants.
“Wait,” Y/N whispers in between kisses, gently pushing his hands away from the waistband of her pants.
“Your wound,” Kakashi comments as he moves back on the bed. He helps her take her pants off slowly, and his eyes immediately inspect the bandages on her leg. A small frown is placed on his lips, “do you think we should wait?” He worries, but her hands pulling down his pants make them all concerns go away.
“No.” She simply replies, undressing the man in front of her. With each passing minute, their kiss gets more and more heated, and they’re in less and less clothes. Kakashi takes brief moments to admire the girl beneath him. He could tell she was shy, and he couldn’t begin to fathom why. His mouth moves from hers and begins to kiss down her neck, searching for the spot that drew the sweetest moans from her. Y/N tugs on his hair so gently that it was endearing. Her legs tighten around his now bare waist to grind her core against his hard cock. She’s making him lose his self-composure, but he wasn’t one to complain.
He continues to kiss down her neck and down the valley of her breasts before moving to wrap his mouth around her taut nipple. The action makes her arch her back in his favour, and he glances up to watch her flushed reactions. He switches to the other nipple, making sure they were both getting the attention that they deserve. He can’t help himself but let his teeth sink in gently around the supple skin, and from the gasp that she emits, she seems to like it. Before he lets himself get carried away, he continues to slowly kiss down her stomach, his cock twitching in his underwear in anticipation. By the time the laced edges of her panties reach his mouth, he bites down again. He pulls her underwear down with his teeth, and Y/N, if possible, grows wetter from the sight.
“Tsk, stop hiding from me,” Kakashi frowns when she closes her legs shyly, “you’re too gorgeous for that.” He shakes his head, giving a little smirk when she blushes more from his compliment. If she gets any cuter, he will explode. Gently prying her legs open, Kakashi welcomes the sight before him. Her pussy was glistening, and it made his mouth water. Suddenly, he was the thirstiest man in the world.
Wasting no time, he dives right in. There was nothing endearing with the way that she was pulling on his hair now. He loved the mild pain he was feeling when she pulled on the soft tufts of grey hair. He loves how her legs are wrapping around his neck the way her arms once were. He loves how close she actually wants him.
He continues to move his tongue along her folds, happily collecting all of her juices. She tasted sweet, sweeter than he had imagined the only sweet thing Kakashi likes is y/n’s pussy. Y/N’s mouth is hanging open, letting out the softest sighs and gasps that has Kakashi’s tongue happily lapping more and more of her juices to hear the noises.
“Kashi..” Y/N moans out the nickname in a daze, too lost in her own pleasure to notice how it affected the man in between her legs. His tongue circles around her entrance, and Y/N whines from the teasing gesture. She gasps when he sucks on her clit suddenly, a warm wave of pleasure coursing through her body from the action.
She feels his tongue push into her entrance and she mewls in response. The wet muscle darts in and out of her soaking core, and she’s forced to close her eyes as her toes curl from the pleasure. She tries not to dig in her heels into his back, but his tongue is making her body react, not her brain. She feels a warm hand move to her hips, feeling it push them down against the bed. Y/N opens her eyes, not even realizing that she was rocking her hips against his mouth. She wishes she had kept them closed, maybe she would have lasted longer that way. As soon as she looks down she loses it.
Kakashi had one hand holding her hips down while the other was jerking himself off. She had made eye contact with him, and the pure lust in his eyes was enough on its own to have her cumming on his tongue. The pleasure rolled through her body in waves, and for a second she felt like she was floating off the bed. The knot that had formed in her stomach had released, and she threw her head back to catch her breath. Y/N can’t remember the last time she had felt that good, and at the moment she understood why he was so popular with the ladies. He cleans her up with his tongue, making her legs twitch when he gives her clit a gentle kiss. Unbeknownst to her, that was the sweetest treatment it would get that night because his calloused fingers would be a lot rougher on it than his slick tongue. Y/N sits up and eagerly pulls him into a kiss, figuring that the action would be better than words of praise. She kisses his neck and chest while her hands fully tug off his underwear. Before Y/N could suck him dry, he stops her.
“Wait wait, I want to make you feel good.”
“I want to make you feel good too..”
“Tomorrows another day,” Kakashi says. He realizes what he says, and he hopes that it didn’t come off as if he was expecting her to do anything for him. “W-wait I-I didn’t mean to assume-“
Before he could voice his concerns, Y/N cuts him off with a kiss.
“Tomorrow’s another day.” She smiles at him, making all of his worries go away. He mirrors her smile, feeling the warmth creep up his chest and over his cheeks. He kisses her sweetly and lays her back, once again settling in between her legs. He continues to kiss her, taking his sweet time to work her up again. It didn’t take long, considering how much she wanted him inside her. Y/N, feeling more confident now than before reaches in-between their bodies as they kiss and wraps her delicate fingers around his cock. Kakashi groans against her lips, and her body shivers at the sound. She moves so the tip of his dick pushes against her folds, and they both moan against each-others mouths, lost in the brief moment. He lines himself up with her entrance and pulls away from her.
“Are you sure?” He asks once again, wanting to give her the opportunity to voice her any worries she might have before doing this. She simply nods and pulls his hips against hers, feeling him sink into her inch by inch. She drops her head back in the pillows and bites her lip from the pleasurable pressure.
“O-Oh…you’re big Kakashi..” She sighs out when he bottoms out, “don’t move yet.” She whispers before connecting her lips with his. He listens to her, of course, and kisses her sweetly, enjoying the moment. She felt good, too good to be true and for a moment Kakashi thinks that he’s dreaming. He doesn’t think he’s that big, bigger than average at most, but he’s convinced that she’s just tight. He takes note of how good she feels wrapped around him, her walls fitting snugly around his cock. It was like a warm sleeve made just for him, that’s how perfect it fit. He feels her hands move to his waist to push his hips back gently, and he takes the hint. He slowly begins to move in and out of her, dropping his head in the crook of her neck to let out an audible groan.
He’s caught himself by surprise. He’s never this vocal during sex but then again he doesn’t think he’s ever had it be this good. She feels amazing, and with each thrust, he can feel her get wetter and wetter. As he picks up the pace, more and more of both of their moans can be heard.
“F-faster…please.” She breathes out, digging her nails into his back. He bites into her neck and rocks into her faster, her moans and pleading in his ear allowing himself to lose himself in his own pleasure. He reaches in between their bodies and rubs her clit in small circles. His hips stutter when she clenches down around him.
“Fuck Y/N…” he pants into her ear, “I don’t know how much longer I can last.” He should be embarrassed really from how out of breath he sounded but the pleasure was too strong for him to give it a second thought. As long as he got her cum before him, then he would be happy. He rubs her clit faster, pushing into her deeper and deeper. The bed rocks harder, and he hopes that the loud thumps heard against the wall isn’t as loud as it sounded.
“I’m gonna..mmph…I-I’m gonna cum..” She pants out into his ear, and he can feel her pulsing around his cock. He moves his head to kiss her lips, encouraging her to let go. She reaches her high, and a string of moans and parts of his name stream out of her parted lips as he continued to rock into her, letting her ride out her high.
Kakashi throws his head back, letting out a few curse words from how tight she was. His hips stammer and he pulls out, cumming in thick, long ropes on her thighs. His whole body is shaking, and he can’t help but lean back into her. Both of their bodies are pressed together. He was supporting most of his weight on his forearms. Both of them were lost in their own bliss. Kakashi recovers fully before Y/N does, and he uses the little energy he has left to get a warm towel for her. He wipes the cum off her leg and makes sure she’s clean before tossing it to the side. He would worry about it later.
Y/N slowly opens her eyes, finding Kakashi staring at her. He has a hazy, yet goofy smile on his face and it warms her inside to see him happy. He holds out a folded t-shirt for her, hoping that she was planning on staying the night.
“Thank you.” She feels drained, in a good way, as she pulls the shirt over her head.
“Would you like some water?” He offers her a water bottle but she shakes her head, eyes droopy from how tired she was. She gets under the covers and cuddles up to his side.
“You still owe me dinner.” She mumbles sleepily. Kakashi chuckles, holding the woman closer to his warm body.
“I’ll buy you breakfast tomorrow.” He whispers, unsure if her closed eyes indicated that she was relaxing or sleeping. Either way, he smiles to himself, happy that for once everything worked in his favour.

DISSECTING SAKURA - WHY IS SHE SO TERRIBLE?
Tumblr media
INTRO
I promised to write a post about Sakura’s character long time ago so here’s that now. If you want to read my Hinata post it’s here.
Sakura is a character that is very hated in the Naruto fandom. Many people acknowledge she’s one of the worst female characters in anime. And yet, she also has many dedicated stans that defend her character and insist she is simply misunderstood, that she’s actually a good shinobi and a person, or not as bad as people think. While there are many videos and essays about Sakura, my issue with them is that they often either praise Hinata who isn’t any better than Sakura or they do not acknowledge Sakura is supposed to be the way she is. She is intentionally written as an unlikeable person and she was never supposed to be inspiring or a positive character. I will try to explain this to you the best I can by dissecting her character. As usual, if you’re a fan of her character you might not want to see what’s next. This will be tagged under the anti tags so if you see it in the character tag that is not intentional.
SAKURA AS A SHINOBI
I will first focus on Sakura as a shinobi and her skills in fights since Naruto is a battle manga. Sakura is, as it's often acknowledged to the point of memes, pretty useless. A lot of her stans don’t understand why. She might get to punch once every 200 chapters or heal fodders but in the end she is featless. She is placed in many important situations where she does nothing to contribute or even gets in the way. This is not acceptable for a main character that has a lot of screentime. Naturally, this is something that annoys many people but it’s made even more annoying by the fact Sakura is constantly talking about how much stronger she has gotten and how she wants to be on par with Naruto and Sasuke.
Tumblr media
In the beginning, during the bell test, Sakura doesn't even attempt to get the bells from Kakashi and only ends up fainting. In the Land of Waves, because Sakura was able to climb the tree due to her chakra control, she became smug and overconfident and thought she doesn't need to train. Which is funny considering she does nothing except stand around during an actual fight while Naruto and Sasuke actually contribute to the fight with the main antagonists. She's tasked to protect Tazuna, yet she can't do that either, but Kakashi has to intervene and get injured. It’s also worth mentioning Kakashi pointed out that during the tree climbing Sakura was able to control her chakra better because she had little chakra to begin with. Thus Kishimoto establishes very early on Sakura as someone who brags and overrestimates her own skills.
Tumblr media
In the Chunin exams, Sakura hopes that Naruto and Sasuke aren’t foolish enough to cheat during the written exam, and she’s sure that she can answer the questions based on her knowledge. But what she doesn’t realize is that the real intention of the test is for the takers to use their observation and deductive skills to gather information and cheat. We find this out in the same chapter through Sasuke. Sasuke, unlike Sakura, realizes that the test makers want them to act like a shinobi. Sakura is book smart and a rote learner, but as we have seen in the Land of Waves and what we will see in the rest of the Chunin exams, being book smart won’t help her on the battlefield. Kishimoto wanted to show us that Sakura is just someone who brags and thinks she’s got everything under control, despite the fact she’s not the right kind of smart to be a shinobi, she doesn’t think like one.
Tumblr media
In the Forest of Death, we then see she isn’t able to actually put anything into practice and Naruto and Sasuke again do all the work, while Sakura does nothing except stand around, scream and cry. Sasuke even has to yell at her to stop merely standing around. Eventually though, when Naruto and Sasuke are knocked out after the encounter with Orochimaru, Sakura has no choice but to protect them from Orochimaru’s henchmen. But she of course fails. She sets traps that fail, and gets mocked for her amateuristic skills by her opponents. We see characters like Kiba are able to put up traps that actually work, but Sakura who is supposedly smart isn’t. Then Rock Lee arrives to her rescue. After he gets beaten up, Kin grabs Sakura by her hair and calls her out on her vanity and tells her she should have trained more, which is basically what Sasuke did at the beginning of the arc, when he told Sakura if she has time to flirt maybe she should use that time to learn a jutsu or two. In the chapter cover she is also seen brushing her hair in front of a mirror in the forest, so Kishimoto makes it pretty clear Sakura is someone who cares a lot about her looks even during a mission. Kishimoto uses the villains to point out Sakura’s flaws, since the main characters can’t do that considering she is one of the main characters. So we see Dosu point out Sakura’s lack of observation skills and talent, and Kin point out her vanity and boy chasing personality. Sakura then dramatically cuts her hair and gives a speech on how she wants to walk in front of Naruto and Sasuke and wants them to look at her back. Despite the little fight she puts up, she is easily beaten down and is saved by Ino, Shikamaru and Chouji, before Sasuke wakes up and beats up Orochimaru's henchmen, driving them away. Sakura acted like this was going to be her moment, yet it wasn't at all. She had five other characters, 4 of them supporting characters, all of whom showed much better ninja skills than her, come to her rescue.
Tumblr media
During Sakura and Ino's match, Sakura starts boasting how Ino is nowhere near her level. What happens is despite her bragging, she falls right into Ino's trap. Unlike Sakura, Ino actually used her wits and shinobi like strategy during the fight, using Sakura’s ego against her to successfully trap her. But because Naruto yelled Sakura's name, her inner Sakura somehow interrupted the fight and it ended in a tie. I think Ino should have won this fight but regardless it didn't make Sakura look good, just an overconfident brat who got lucky.
Tumblr media
The rest of Part 1 Sakura spends moping over Sasuke and getting one-paneled by Gaara in the Konoha crush arc where she again becomes a damsel in distress to no one’s surprise. Her uselessly holding a kunai has become a meme because she does it many times during the series. Despite being a liability to her team she never thinks about how to better her skills nor tries to train. After Sasuke leaves and Sakura fails to stop him, she goes to Naruto and begs him with tears in her eyes to bring Sasuke back. Considering how many support characters have contributed massively in Part 1, a main character like Sakura achieving nothing just puts it into perspective how useless she really is. She has been a damsel in every single arc. When Naruto fails to bring Sasuke back, Sakura decides to ask Tsunade to train her, and tells Naruto next time she will go with him to get Sasuke back. The thing is, she should have had the resolve to train and change herself already before Sasuke left. She should have realized she put her team constantly in jeopardy by being weak. She read all about what life of a shinobi entails yet she seemed to treat it as some playground where she can play damsel while everyone around her protects her. It’s only when her crush left and Naruto failed to bring him back that she bothers to make an effort.
Tumblr media
At the start of Part 2, Kakashi gives Naruto and Sakura yet another bell test, and Sakura shows some potential by showing off her chakra punch. But in the end, they manage to finally get the bells due to Naruto's plan. Some people act like Sakura is the smart one in team 7 yet she constantly fails to showcase this smartness of hers. Next, team 7 is assigned by Tsunade to rescue Kazekage Gaara. Sakura swears that this time, she will save both Naruto and Sasuke. Again, she sets up a high goal for herself, only to never achieve it. Sakura does however, mix up an antidote to heal Kankuro after he got attacked by Sasori. Next Chiyo and Sakura get ready for a fight with Sasori. Notice how this is the only fight where Sakura actually manages to not fail? It's because Chiyo is literally directing her moves, both verbally and physically. But I will give her credit for using the antidote to survive Sasori's poison, and taking the hit for Chiyo. Sasori was also apparently suicidal and didn’t avoid the last hit but I don’t dwell on that too much.
Now I need to mention something that is very important to note when it comes to Sakura’s character writing. Whenever Sakura does anything she’s complimented countless times by Kakashi, Chiyo, Sasori, and basically everyone she comes across. Kakashi starts to talk about how she might be able to surpass Tsunade, just because she punches the ground once in front of him. Chiyo hails her as a girl who can surpass Tsunade as well, before even seeing her fighting abilities. Hashirama thinks her power might be greater than Tsunade’s despite not even seeing what his granddaughter can do. And this goes on and on. This is Kishimoto intentionally raising up the audience's expectations, only to later intentionally bring them down. Superficial readers think she is smart and could possibly surpass Tsunade because other characters say so, but people who actually read the manga and pay attention can see that Sakura never lives up to the expectations placed on her.
Tumblr media
Right after this arc, Sakura goes back to being useless and not contributing much especially considering the screentime she gets. Despite being able to avoid Sasori’s attacks with the help of Chiyo, in the Tenchi Bridge arc she gets first knocked out by Kabuto's flying butt because she's not watching where she's going, and needs to be saved by Yamato. Then she doesn’t let Yamato do his job and gets knocked out by Naruto's 4-tailed form, and needs to be saved by Yamato and healed by Kabuto. When they finally meet Sasuke she charges at him with no apparent strategy and needs to be saved by Yamato again, who gets injured in the process.
So after the entire part 1 of being useless, and 15 chapters of not being useless, Sakura needs to be saved multiple times by Yamato while contributing nothing. To people who paid more attention when reading the manga, this arc made them realize Sakura was never gonna change and this is how her character would always going to be. But others were still starstruck by the previous arc, and would only realize it later.
Tumblr media
In the Akatsuki Suppression arc she pretty much does nothing worth mentioning. She is tasked to go help Shikamaru but the latter has already taken care of Hidan by himself. In the Itachi Pursuit arc she doesn’t do anything either, but only follows the dogs tracking Sasuke’s scent. In the Pain arc a lot of characters contribute in the fight against Pain, even Konohamaru who is just a kid manages to defeat one of the paths of Pain, while Sakura is again shown crying and screaming for Naruto. What was that about saving Naruto and Sasuke? If she’s so strong as she acts like she is she could have at least tried to buy some time for Naruto instead of crying like a total whimp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There’s also a constant pattern of Sakura trying to demonstrate her "powers" or "strategy" and failing. This happened again in the start of the Five kage Summit arc when she tried to fight with the Kumo warriors, got immediately facekicked to the ground and had to be rescued by Naruto yet again. And this is not even the worst. In the same arc she attempts to take down Sasuke by herself, drugging her teammates so they can’t help her, and ends up failing when Sasuke figures out what she’s trying to do and she needs to be saved first by Kakashi and then by Naruto. As always, she aims too high and falls flat on her face. She ends the arc moping how she can’t do anything except to trust Naruto. Of course, Kishimoto doesn’t forgot to mention that Sasuke is resistant to poison, so Sakura’s attempt of killing him whether she succeeded stabbing him or not would have been futile either way. Again, she is failing to come even close to her own goals she set for herself. She is once again a liability that needs saving. And so the audience is frustrated and annoyed with her character. They are thinking, why is this girl who is constantly bragging about her skills constantly making a fool out of herself, crying pathetically and needing to be rescued? Well, that would be because she is supposed to be a person who is completely misguided about her own skills.
In the war arc, Sakura isn’t any better. The war arc only amplifies what we already have seen and know. That Kishimoto uses subversion to show Sakura’s character as overall irrelevant, and to show she’s all talk. In part 1, Sakura is said to be smart and she boasts about her skills yet she can’t do anything in an actual fight, but has to be saved by multiple characters, including Naruto, whom she considered inferior to herself. This of course made people annoyed with her character. When part 2 started, other characters were again commenting on her potential and how she had supposedly grown. So many people got hopeful that she had actually grown a lot and changed. And yet, as I have pointed out, she tried to show off many times and failed miserably. Which made people even more frustrated with her. Because they had gotten their hopes up. The Five Kage Summit arc was definitely the ultimate breaking point. After Sakura’s ridiculous attempt to manipulate Naruto, her drugging her teammates while leaving them defenseless on the ground and her trying to take down Sasuke and failing, she was certified as the fandom’s laughing stock. But some of her stans still remained, and thought she would redeem herself. Somehow.
Tumblr media
Then comes the 4th shinobi war. Sakura has mostly been in the background healing people, but when Sasuke shows up, she is suddenly motivated to show off for real. She even gets pissed when Naruto is about to go with Sasuke and suggests to her that she could take a break. Sakura insists she is also part of team 7 and that she surely can keep up with the two of them. We have a panel hyping up Team 7. Then Sakura gets a moment to make a big punch after which she boasts and thinks she’s better than Tsunade, insulting the latter in the process. But she’s not paying attention to her surroundings and needs to be saved by the boys, after which she starts to boast how she will steal the Hokage seat from Naruto and how now they will all fight together with their backs to each other. She then reaffirms herself that she has finally caught up to Naruto and Sasuke. This level of arrogance needs to be backed up, otherwise the audience will get annoyed. And it did annoy a big portion of the fandom, considering they had seen for the past 600 chapters or so Sakura talking about how she wants to be on par with Naruto and Sasuke, how she won’t be a liability anymore and it all leading to nothing except disappointment after disappointment. Sakura’s confidence and ego are greatly disproportionate for someone of her capabilities, which a big part of the audience notices, whether consciously or subconsciously. And this is of course intentional.
Tumblr media
She is left on the sidelines again when Naruto and Sasuke are too busy being ”the main act” and fighting perfectly in sync. Sakura has to ask Hinata what is even happening with the two of them. Sakura keeps healing people, but eventually Naruto’s chakra starts to help her with the healing.
Tumblr media
Then we get to one of the most infamous moments with Sakura, that resembles another infamous moment in the Five kage summit arc, when she tried to take down Sasuke with a poisoned kunai. In this moment Obito is asking Sakura to stab his rinnegan eye with a kunai. In both moments, she can’t come up with a resolve to use her kunai but just trembles centimeters away from her target. Taking her time shaking she then gets attacked by her opponent, and ends up being saved. In both cases, she wastes her chance because she’s a total whimp who has no resolve to do what she pretends she can do. And thus, the audience is annoyed once again. And the people who always knew what she was like make fun of her.
Tumblr media
But Kishimoto won’t stop there. In the very same chapter, when Sakura is trying to heal Kakashi, Naruto takes over and not only heals him but also gives him a brand new eye, something Sakura of course isn’t able to do. Healing was the only thing she could do and even that was taken from her! So much for her being a relevant member of Team 7 who is on par with Naruto and Sasuke.
Kakashi then starts reminiscing about Team 7, and it ends with him reminding the three about his first lesson, which was team work being the key to success. So what happens?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sakura begans to once again nurse her own insecurities and tries to show off to satisfy her own ego by charging at Madara and telling the boys to follow her. She has no idea of Madara’s strengths and weaknesses and what would you know, her punch is stopped and she gets stabbed in the chest and is once again rescued by Naruto. And what does she do? Mopes that Sasuke doesn’t pay attention to her nor seems to care. She cares more about showing off to Sasuke than defeating Madara, even when this is about a threat to the whole world. What a great shinobi. It’s a callback to part 1 when she moped over the fact Sasuke didn’t care about her climbing the tree. Just like with her shaking with the kunai, it’s just another moment that shows she never truly changes. Not in ways that matter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then we see Naruto and Sasuke actually fight Madara, and Sakura literally just stands there in awe of them. She’s shook by Madara’s power which she obviously had no clue about. Of course Sakura still tries to go after the boys but Kakashi stops her and says it’s pointless to do so unless she has a plan. And she stops, and stares at Naruto and Sasuke’s backs as they disappear. Hah. She once again, has failed to achieve the goal she sets for herself. Kishimoto hyped up team 7 yet constantly showed Sakura failing and being left behind, despite how much she claimed she could keep up with the two of them. The way Kishimoto writes her, by making Sakura herself or others hype her, and then showing she’s actually lame is very consistent and relentless.
Taking into consideration that she’s a main character, and all the times that she’s promised major improvement, what we received was just pathetic. When you add it to the fact that she’s a member of such an over-achieving team, it makes her look pitiful in comparison. But it’s supposed to be. Don’t even think this is unintentional from Kishimoto. Sakura was supposed to be someone who never changes.
SAKURA’S PERSONALITY AND HER RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS
Now a little more on Sakura’s personality and the way she interacts with others which is definitely one of the reasons why many people hate her.
Tumblr media
In the beginning, she is introduced as a shallow girl who is focused on her looks and getting the attention of the popular boy in the class, rather than being a good shinobi. She gets called out on her vanity by not only Sasuke but also by her enemies. She is pretty quick to give up on the bell test which annoys Sasuke. One wonders why is she even a shinobi when her resolve is so weak. She beats and berates Naruto and is only able to treat him better by mimicking Sasuke. Despite Kakashi’s comments on all of them maturing Sakura hasn’t changed at all at the start of the Chunin exam arc but she keeps asking Sasuke on dates instead of training and also squeals for him like a fangirl. She mopes that she’s not good enough for the Chunin exam and only gets motivated when Sasuke compliments her. This type of shallow and weak characterization made many people instantly dislike her.
Tumblr media
In the chunin exams we also find out she broke her friendship with Ino after she found out Ino liked Sasuke as well. This is something that gave more background to her character but at the same time made people dislike her even more, since Ino is someone who reached out to Sakura and helped her build her self-esteem yet Sakura simply dumped her and started a catty rivalry over Sasuke. In Part 2, they only interact once, and during that moment Sakura wants Sai to call Ino ugly. You can’t really call it a beautiful friendship when Sakura is constantly shown as catty and the only person who does anything for the other is Ino. It’s Ino who reaches out to Sakura. It’s Ino who comes to her rescue in the Forest of Death. It’s Ino who compliments her after their match. What has Sakura done for Ino other than wanting her to be called ugly and teaching her kid to keep Ino away from Sasuke?
Tumblr media
During Sakura and Ino’s match, Kakashi says Sakura isn’t the type to brag and bully others, even when we have seen her do both constantly. Already in the Land of Waves she bragged how she doesn’t need to train despite not being able to do anything in a fight. She also constantly berates Naruto and acts superior to him, aside from punching him all the time over nothing. Sakura having a bloated sense of superiority and tendency to brag about her skills is a consistent character trait of hers. But she never manages to truly back up her arrogant attitude but comes off as weak and overall irrelevant, which is yet another thing that makes her an unlikeable character in the eyes of the audience. In the war she also insults Tsunade, the one who taught her, while boasting how she is better than her like she’s some badass when she is far from it. When has she created her own jutsu or made anything revolutionary? During the same chapter she also brags how she’s gonna steal the Hokage seat from Naruto. Yes Naruto, the guy who keeps saving her useless ass all the time.
Tumblr media
Speaking of Kakashi, he is a character that Kishimoto used in his writing as someone who treats Sakura with kid gloves and coddles her. This is one reason why some people defend her character, and why some people ship the two of them. If you’re a Sakura stan, it must feel validating when some character constantly defends your fave’s stupid behavior. But Kakashi is someone who not only admits to not understand Sasuke, but also someone who clearly doesn’t understand Sakura, as we see from the earlier image how Sakura’s behavior contradicts with Kakashi’s claims since the beginning. Basically, if you need to know how Sakura really is like, just flip what Kakashi says about her and you’ll know. Since Sakura is part of the main team, Kishimoto needed some character to defend her behavior so she wouldn’t be confronted about it too much. But smart readers aren’t fooled. It’s also worth noting that Kakashi tells Sasuke Sakura still loves him despite the fact Sasuke tried to kill her, while conveniently omitting the fact Sakura went there to kill Sasuke herself. This makes Kakashi look hypocritical but Kishimoto needed some character to do this because of Boruto, and it’s not like he was gonna use Naruto, the one he himself called Sasuke’s ally.
Tumblr media
Then we have Sakura’s hypocritical behavior, that Kishimoto also consistently portrayed. During Sakura and Ino’s match, Sakura says Ino is a girl who is focused only on her looks and that she wouldn’t want to be on the same level with her, despite the fact Sakura herself was shown brushing her hair in the Forest of Death and getting dragged for her vanity. She also got upset and hit Naruto when he tried to pee in front of her, saying she’s a lady, yet thought to herself how she would like to see Sasuke pee in front of her. When trying to plead to Sasuke to not go, Sakura says revenge won’t bring anyone happiness, but when it doesn’t work she flips completely on what she said and asks Sasuke to take her with him so she can help him. Even if she acts like she cares about Sasuke’s well-being, what she really cares about are her own feelings. Sasuke unsurprisingly finds this annoying as do many readers. Sakura makes fun of Naruto and insults him, yet gets enraged when Sai calls her names and she proceeds to hit both him and Naruto. She also gets mad at Konohamaru and Naruto for their sexy no jutsus, yet when Konohamaru showed her hot boys naked, one of them being Sasuke, she went all gaga over it.
Tumblr media
Sakura is also introduced as a bully who beats Naruto up and mocks him in front of Sasuke who then proceeds to call her out on her terrible behavior. In this chapter, Kishimoto made Sakura call Naruto ”annoying” and then made Sasuke throw her own insult back at her when Sakura mocked Naruto, by calling her annoying. Something that is worth noting is that while Sakura also reacted to Lee badly at first, after he saved her she didn’t do anything bad to him anymore. Yet while she later realizes she was wrong about Naruto’s resolve, and that he cheers for her when she needs it, and that he saved her countless times, she keeps beating him up over nothing and berating him. She still keeps calling him stupid and acting like she knows better. This is why whenever she cries for him, it’s hard to feel any liking to her, because she comes off as more like a poser who will surely soon bash his head in if he dares to behave like himself, or drop him for the sake of Sasuke. Her treatment of Naruto is unreasonably bad at times, but it’s easily explained. In the beginning we find out Sakura dislikes Naruto because she thinks he comes between her and Sasuke. And we see many instances where this notion is amplified by the text. But Sakura is too delusional to understand the reason there is distance between her and Sasuke is simply because Sasuke isn’t interested in her, she’s too shallow and juvenile for him to pay attention to.
Her fake confessing to Naruto and trying to manipulate him made a lot of people lose all respect for her. She also showed she knew so little of Naruto she accidentally managed to tap into all of his insecurities in her confession. She also somehow believed Naruto was really chasing Sasuke for her sake and that he would give up if she offered herself to him.
Her second confession to Sasuke is also very telling of her jealousy of Naruto and Sasuke’s bond. She yells how she can’t exchange blows with Sasuke, how she can’t get close to him, how the only thing she can do is cry and beg. Considering how Naruto is the one who is about to exhange blows with Sasuke yet again, and how Sasuke after their fight talks about how Naruto kept coming closer to him, Sakura is clearly thinking of Naruto when she is having this meltdown. Sakura was shown to be jealous of Naruto’s improvement and skills in Part 1, but she is also jealous of Sasuke’s care and love for Naruto, which she wants for herself and thinks she is entitled to. Even at the start, Kishimoto said Sakura thinks Naruto stole Sasuke’s first kiss which she thought belonged to her. It’s no different at the end of the series. Her outburst is her fighting for what she thinks is rightfully hers, Sasuke, despite the fact he has given no indication that he loves her. But this makes sense. Afterall, we see Sarada come between Ino and Sasuke while Sakura laughs nervously in the background. Despite everything Ino has done for Sakura’s sake, she still sees her as a threat, to the point her own kid is doing the dirty work for her.

Let’s talk more about Sakura’s relationship, or lack there of, with Sasuke. We know Sakura was portrayed like any other fangirl of Sasuke in the beginning, who liked his looks and how cool he was. She never tried to approach Sasuke as a friend but only kept asking him on dates despite his blatant rejections. She never says why she loves him, or even likes him. According to herself Sasuke never says anything to her. Her first confession showed how little she understood Sasuke. She was the girl with everything, with family, while Sasuke and Naruto had nothing. Yet she had the nerve to say if Sasuke left she would be just as lonely as he was. She’s comparing the massacre of Sasuke’s family to a boy she never talks to leaving her, while disrespecting her own parents in the process. How juvenile that must have sounded like to someone like Sasuke. In Part 1 Sasuke occassionally protects Sakura because she’s too weak to protect herself, and in part 2 Sakura probably wanted to entertain the thought Sasuke would still have this consideration for her. But in Part 2 Sasuke treats Sakura like a fodder ninja. She doesn’t manage to get a proper reaction out of Sasuke who focuses on Naruto everytime he meets up with his former team. Sasuke also leaves Sakura to die couple times while choosing to save Naruto instead. Despite all this, Sakura still thought she’s entitled to Sasuke, and in her second confession she started to yet again scream how much she loves Sasuke and how much she hurts due to it. In both of her confessions she is guilt tripping Sasuke and trying to make him pity her. In both of her confessions she makes everything about herself. She admits to herself she can’t do anything for Sasuke, yet she tries to win him over by pity. But she annoys Sasuke once again, and he puts her in a murder genjutsu. Sasuke then says they have no reason to love each other. And he’s right. What does Sakura know about Sasuke? Clearly nothing, considering she said the worst things she could have said during both of her confessions. She heard Sasuke talk about wanting change, yet she started to scream how if Sasuke stays with her, things can go back to how they were. It’s like the most basic things she doesn’t understand. She’s just an overemotional child who has nothing of worth to say. Kakashi who coddles her tries to talk to Sasuke on her behalf as well, insisting Sakura suffers for loving him. Sasuke then thinks of his family and says perhaps those are ties to a failed past. As in Sakura literally lives in the past. And she does. Despite the fact everything has changed, she thinks about the moment when Sasuke thanked her, and ignores him calling her annoying for her ignorant comments, or the fact someone who wants change obviously doesn’t want to go back to the way things were. This brutal rejection though still won’t slow Sakura down, but after Sasuke is leaving to his atonement trip Sakura blushes like a school girl and asks to come with him. After him mocking her and putting her in a genjutsu, this is what she does.
And Kishimoto still won’t stop there. After all of Sakura’s boasting that ended in failure, after the brutal genjutsu and her being made mostly irrelevant, we see her destroy her own house because her kid asked about her marriage with Sasuke and she got insecure. I have to ask how do some people not realize Kishimoto despises Sakura and writes her as a terrible person? She is a bad daughter who doesn’t understand how lucky she is but is ready to ditch her parents for an indifferent boy’s sake. She is a bad student who disrespects Tsunade for no reason. She is a bad friend who treats Ino and Naruto badly out of insecurity. She is a bad person who treats the target of her crush like an object instead of a person. She is a bad shinobi as well who is most of the time a liability. And she is a bad mother as well. When she’s insisting to Sarada that Sasuke cares about them, she’s sweating and looking nervous, she’s clearly not confident in what she says. Kishimoto also drops two implications that Sasuke never kissed Sakura. Because that is apparently important for us to know. Sakura then tries to insist a forehead poke is better than a kiss. Yet when Sasuke is leaving, she is waiting for a kiss and not a poke. And she is rejected, and looks like a wet rag just like everytime Sasuke rejected her before ever since she was a kid. It’s hard to think of a female character that is more pathetic than her.
And yet, we have SS insisting Sasuke surely knew Sakura could take care of herself, that’s why he left her to die and saved Naruto instead, who didn’t need saving. Surely Sasuke thinks about Sakura as an individual and not just a member of team 7. Despite the fact we have never seen Sasuke think about Sakura outside of team 7 context nor say anything about what he likes and admires about Sakura. Surely Sakura is the most important person to Sasuke, that’s why Kishi wrote Sasuke say to Hagoromo, to Naruto and to himself that Naruto is the only one he still cares about. That’s why Kishimoto wrote Sasuke say Naruto is the only one who never gave up on him. That’s why he wrote Sasuke say Naruto alone saved him. Despite the fact Sakura wanted to be part of saving Sasuke with Naruto, Kishimoto would never let her. Because he doesn’t like her, or SS.
As a final note, a lot of the manga revolved around the importance of family and bonds, yet Sakura, the girl who had parents unlike the rest of her team, is shown to disrespect them everytime she brings them up. And she’s never redeemed on this. This is also intentional from Kishimoto, of course. Sakura is too selfish, too ungrateful and shallow to understand what she has. She’d rather chase a guy who keeps rejecting her like he’s some trophy she owns, all the while trivializing his pain over the loss of his family, by acting like she understands. And she’s ready to throw away her parents, her friends, and her dignity for the sake of this guy who was never interested in her. What’s worst is she had many opportunities to change and mature, yet she choose not to. And thus she remained the same self centred, superficial person she always was.
Actually this is the final note: @sneezemonster15 is a co-creator of this post. She has also talked about Sakura on her blog, for example that war arc part here. Another example is here (but you can just generally go through her anti-sakura tag). But I wanted all this on one big text since certain people are very stubborn about us “picking” supposedly minor things to bash Sakura for when this is throughout the whole manga. And since tumblr doesn’t let her add more than 10 images to a post for some reason I decided to write this down.

Tumblr media
How uneventful. Another shinobi unmatched with your jutsu. Whatever. It’s one more ninja to get rid of in your organization’s desire to obtain all tailed beasts. Holding him at eye level with a limb made of water protruding from your throat, you grow a fourth arm from your stomach and slowly, as if time is barely passing by, shove your fist through his heart.
He drops to the ground, and you look at your partner, a newer Akatsuki member. He’s too young for your own good. You had requested a new partner, someone who could actually help you in a fight. However, your request was denied by your great leader, and you knew you would have to pull all of the weight by yourself.
Regarding your partner who is hunched over in the mud while pressing his hands against his bloody abdomen, you roll your eyes and grab the back of his cloak. “Come on, Rendo, I’ll get you fixed up,” you relay as you drag him towards a cave.
He clutches his belly as he coughs. “It’s Kenji.”
“What’s a kid barely out of the academy doing with the likes of us?” you can’t help but question him.
You let him slump against the wall as you get to work on starting a fire with a bunch of sticks.
“Just think the whole Kage thing is corrupt. All government is shit. What about you?”
“I agree with their cause. I was recruited four months after turning eighteen. Guess you could call me lucky,” you wink at him.
It doesn’t take long to fix up the stab wound. Nothing too serious, but definitely something you’ll need to keep an eye on.
“Get some rest. You’ll need it. If you’re not up to walking tomorrow, I’ll have to send a message.”
A quiet “thanks” is all he mutters as his eyes slowly close.
Sitting down next to the fire, you lean your forehead on your knees. It might not be safe to stay here for too long considering your partner’s wounds, but what other choice do you have? You can’t abandon him. It will look like you wanted him to be left to die on purpose since you didn’t want to go with him in the first place.
Fuck, if I catch hell for this, I’ll kill him myself.
You fall asleep quickly after, the mission taking a toll on you. You’re proud of yourself for taking on so many Hidden Leaf ninjas. You didn’t know you could handle twenty by yourself because you’ve never been given the chance. However, you really wanted to take on one specific shinobi. It’s a shame that he didn’t show up. You were so confident that you could have fought him and won. Maybe, next time, you’ll be able to fight the feared Copy Ninja of the Hidden Leaf Village.
These are your last thoughts before you fall into a deep sleep.
———
Something gurgling causes your eyes to shoot wide open. Could it be some wild animal who has roamed back to their dwelling? Sitting up, you notice that you fell asleep with the fire still lit. How could you be so stupid?
In the dim lighting, Kenji holds his hand out to you while clutching his bloody throat. The choking gurgling noises are coming from him? But how?! When did this happen?! You rush over to him and turn him on his back, holding his head in your lap.
“Kenji, you can’t die on me! Please?! You have to stay awake. No, don’t close your damn eyes! Kenji!”
Lowering your head, you feel dread fill your chest. You take a deep breath, looking at the face of the little brat who wormed his way into this organization. He was a good kid, way too young to die. He shouldn’t have his eyes closed forever at the tender age of sixteen. What a damn shame.
You don’t even hear him until his breath is on your ear. “Finally, my little cloud is awake.”
Grabbing your kunai from your waistband, you crouch as you turn on your heel. Kenji limply slides off of your thighs with all of the movement, hitting the ground with a dull thump.
With one hand on your throat and the other on your wrist with the kunai, the intruder slams you into the wall.
The wind gushes up your throat, tumbling out of your mouth. He smashes your hand against the wall twice until you’re forced to drop your weapon.
The mask, the hidden eye. From this description, he must be the ninja you’ve been waiting for.
This isn’t how you thought your meeting with him would begin. You thought you would be on the same playing field as him. Instead, he has you trapped against the wall like a mouse.
No, you won’t fall victim to him!
You try to distract him by punching him in the chest with an extra fist made of water. You thought it worked until Kakashi disappears in a puff of smoke.
“A copy?!”
How could you not tell it was just a clone?! There’s no time to dwell on this. Your partner is dead, and the Copy Ninja is somewhere near by. You have no other choice but to flee the cave and try to find somewhere else to hide out in until you can get a message to the Akatsuki.
You take off into the dead of night, a pale moon in the sky being your only guiding light as you head for the line of trees outside of the cave. Keeping your breathing steady, you duck under a branch. As you straighten out, you notice a kunai stuck in a tree, but what’s that it’s stuck to? You can barely see with how dark it is, and then all at once, there are too many lights.
You groan in pain, a ringing pounding in your ear. Opening your eyes, you cough into a puddle of mud. You crane your neck to look up, eyes adjusting to the bright moon up above, and you attempt to push yourself onto all fours.
Then, there’s a weight on your back, pushing you down into the puddle.
“Are you the one they call Kakashi?” You need to know if this is truly him.
“Yes, and you are Y/N L/N, a former shinobi of the Hidden Cloud Village.”
“Well, isn’t this a lovely way to meet,” you grumble, half of your face dirty from the element.
“I will admit, I’ve never met such a beauty face down in the mud before. It almost makes you look naughty.”
Your cheeks blush quite furiously. “I’m not a dirty whore if that’s what you’re trying to insinuate.”
The weight on your back only grows stronger, the pressure making it hard to breathe. You gather what’s left of your chakra. Hoping you can distract him with your words, you grow an extra leg and hand, shooting them out of you in an arc so that you can attack him at two different angles.
It is laughable how Kakashi deflects your jutsu with such ease. That was the last of your energy. All of it went into that attempt. You had used up so much of your chakra earlier during your mission. One hour of rest wouldn’t be enough to replenish your chakra, and now, you just spent it all.
He reaches down and disrobes you of your Akatsuki uniform. The black cloak with red clouds lays in a crumpled heap in the mud not far away. Turning you over, he kneels next to you. His face is so close to yours. You can feel his mask on your dirty cheek.
“You’re filthy with the scent of other men. It’s disgusting.”
The ninja grabs the waistband of your skirt, pulling the fabric from your body with one sharp tug. He rips your shirt and tights off as well.
“What the fuck are you doing?! Get away from me!” You push at him. You can’t cock your arm back as much as you want to, but you go for the shot anyway.
Unfortunately, he catches your wrist in a crushing grip, just like the hold his clone had on you earlier.
As he holds your wrist, he mounts you. Kakashi slips his hand beneath him. You feel his fingers travel down to your bare cunt. The pad of his thumb works your clit in slow circles, and in complete shame, you find yourself crying out in pleasure.
“Stop it, you fucking freak! You creep! Get off of me!”
A sharp slap across your exposed tit shocks you into silence momentarily. A red handprint is left in the wake of his palm, and the spot he just hit begins throbbing.
“You bastard! You fucking son of a bitch!”
In your rage, you snap at him with your teeth. You have no chakra to build up even with all of your gut twisting fury, but you still try to fight.
Kakashi turns you back on your stomach. Holding both of your wrists in one hand, he pins them to your lower back. Your feet kick against the mud, splattering it everywhere. You have no choice but to turn your cheek against the earth as you take deep breaths from all of the squirming and fighting.
You feel him, all of him, his bare chest to your bare back. You feel his muscles leaning against you for support as he drives himself inside of you with ease from the mud.
“I’m going to get rid of their scent. I’ll fill you up with my come until it’s gone. You don’t know who you’re dealing with, but I know all about you. I know everything there is to know about you. You’ll learn your place soon enough.”
The pounding from behind you causes you to gasp sharply. You spit out as much mud as you can, trying to wrestle your arms from the shinobi so that you can get your face out of the mud puddle.
He thinks your attempts at strength are so cute. He coos at you for trying, making you even angrier. Your temper is palpable, but he pays you no mind. To him, your threat level is the same as a puppy’s. There’s no way in hell you could beat him like this, and you both know it.
“Why are you doing this to me?!” You have to know. He’s acting as if you’re someone special to him, but this is the first time you’ve meet him.
“This mission- fuck -I was supposed to bring you in for interrogation. Your picture, your report- damn, you’re so tight -I couldn’t resist after seeing you in person.”
His primitive grunts feel hot against the shell of your filth covered ear. Your eyes sting with tears. You can feel mud lining your lashes, coating your eyelid.
You never thought you’d hate mud until this very moment. The sticky texture molding against your skin. You feel even dirtier with how Kakashi is treating you.
You feel his slick cock rub against your sensitive walls, and you hate your body’s natural reactions to his ministrations. You thought it would be fun to fight him. Now, you feel completely different after waking up to your partner bleeding from his throat, being attacked, only to end up being violated by one of the most feared ninjas of this generation.
“I’ll guide you. Ah, I’ll teach you right from wrong and show you the better path. There’s a good girl somewhere under there. Just need to find her. Fuck!”
You ball up your fists, feeling mud accumulate underneath your fingernails with every dig into your palms.
You don’t want to be a good girl. You don’t want him to show you the “right way”! Who the fuck is he to tell you what’s right from wrong? Who the hell does he think he is trying to be your guiding light?!
Your body feels heavy, weighed down with the body of another man on top of you. You’re not sure you could hold yourself up even if he did let go of your wrists. There’s a soreness spreading across your back, a tightening between your shoulder blades from being trapped in this position for so long.
The squelching of your throbbing pussy can be heard along with the sounds of his animalistic groans and your guttural cries. Your brain doesn’t know what to make of what’s happening to your body. It’s trying to process things so quickly, and it ends up going blank in the wake of a ball of pressure building up inside of you.
As Kakashi continuously drives his hard length further into you, almost punishing you with it, you find that you can no longer squeeze your thighs anymore, and as you relax, you feel a wave of overwhelming sensations wash over you.
You never imagined you’d feel so horrible after feeling so good for a few moments. You feel guilt, shame, anxiety, bitterness, and hate churn in your stomach as Kakashi pulls out of your leaking sex.
He lets go of your wrists, knowing you don’t have any fight left in you. Beyond tired, you crumble like cake against the mud.
———
After having to endure four more rounds with the Copy Ninja, he pulls rope from his pants that are nearby. Kakashi makes quick work of tying you up with intricate knots.
Coming to a stop at a river, he threatens warns you to behave as he unties you. He’s at least decent enough to clean you up near a river and let you put your shirt and skirt back on, but you are still aware of the fact that both of your clothes are still caked with dirt.
The ninja ties you up again, carrying you over his shoulder back to the Hidden Leaf Village for your inevitable interrogation, but you gulp, knowing that the village is far and you’re traveling alone with Kakashi Hatake.

“do you remember when we met for the first time?” the question catches your lover off guard, furrowing his brows as he smiled down at you.
“of course i do, why?” he asked, you wiggle out of his grip and it upright, cuddling a little further into the blanket he has on the couch.
“i remember seeing you and thinking you were the hottest shinobi in the whole leaf” you giggle, kakashi blushed, his heart skipping a beat and stomach flipping.
“i though you were beautiful, i didn’t even know how to talk to you so i avoided you” your mouth dropped at the information.
“you always told me you didn’t avoid me you little liar!” you shoved him playfully, he didn’t budge, instead grabbing your arms and pulling you against his chest, wrapping his arms around you and holding you tightly.
kakashi kisses the top of your head as you try to wiggle out of his grasp, giving up after only mere seconds.
“i always wanted to just go up and tell you how i felt, but i ended up chickening out every time” he chuckled, “there wasn’t much i was scared of, but you rejecting me was one thing that kept me up” you smiled at his words.
“you can’t make fun of me!” he immediately defends himself, “you only told me you liked me because you were six shots in and trying to prove a point to Kurenai” he stated and your once open mouth closed very quickly.
your lips settled into a pout before speaking up, “okay well aren’t you glad i was so competitive that this wonderful amazing beautiful relationship blossomed?” you asked, kakashi smiled, nodding his head and kissing your temple.
“i don’t even know what i wouldve said to you if i was sober” your brows are furrowed as you think back to when the only contact between the silver haired jonin and you were fleeting glances and accidental hand touching.
“whatever it would’ve been, i would’ve felt like the luckiest person in the world” he mumbles, pressing a kiss to the top of your head, “especially because we both know if it were up to me to make the first move i would’ve never done it” you’re laughing at his words, a small smile on his face as he relishes in the sound of it.
he’s taking a second to take it all in. he’s memorizing how you feel laying on top of him, how your hair just barely tickles his nose and when he leans down ever so slightly, he can smell your shampoo and your perfume. he’s memorizing the inflection of your voice as you tell him how you gushed to Kurenai for much too long about him.
he wants to scold his past self for ever avoiding you, for making petty excuses as to why he couldn’t go out when he found out you’d be there. but then again he doesn’t, he’s just glad the world made sure you two found your way together, he’s glad that red string of fate brought you to each other.

Naruto’s Reaction to Kakashi’s Death in the Pain Arc was Perfect
Anyone who says Naruto barely even reacted when he found out Kakashi was dead in the Pain arc just doesn’t understand that part because HELLO!?
Are we not going to talk about how he realized something was wrong right away and asked Tsunade where Kakashi was? Are we not going to talk about how he wouldn’t even turn around to look at Tsunade when asking the question because he knew what the answer would ultimately be? Are we NOT going to talk about how Naruto’s quiet “okay” spoke more words than anything?
He came back to the village and saw everything completely destroyed, and still had the time to ask about Kakashi. I don’t know what you guys expected him to react like when there was a man killing people right in front of him, like did we just think he was going to huff and puff and cry his eyes out right in front of the enemy because I’m 100% sure that Pain himself would’ve just walked away like, “Nah, this guy isn’t even worth my energy, we don’t even want him anymore.”
Naruto’s reaction was perfectly fitted for the moment, in my opinion, and he couldn’t have reacted in a better way.
My boy went and destroyed one of the Pain’s with one hand a second later when it took 4 other shinobi to try and do it and they STILL failed, like if that’s not a good reaction, hell, I don’t know what is.

Imagine… retired Kakashi who has to wear reading glasses after years of carrying a power he had no wish for in the first place. Who still suffers to this day from migraines and the occasional trauma response in memory of the sharingan he no longer possesses.
Kakashi, who was always reading using only one eye for at least a decade, went on to become Hokage, with it huge piles of paperwork and records. It was no wonder he eventually needed the help of glasses despite his muttered grumbles and protests that he could see perfectly fine. After all, what shinobi worth their salt couldn’t see?
Kakashi, who eventually accepts your help, finally understanding your worries whenever his pain would wake him—and you—in the night. Kakashi, who never wanted to hear your voice full of pain and anguish again as you rubbed tenderly at his aching temples, and applied a cool rag to his forehead.
Kakashi, who is relieved to discover he only needs glasses for reading and that his vision at range is still within the acceptable levels of an active shinobi, even if he is meant to be retired now. Who begrudgingly places his new eyewear on when you catch him reading the newspaper without them on with a dramatic sigh and roll of his eyes.
Kakashi, who starts to realise that you look at him a little differently when he wears his glasses. Who notices the slight glaze covering your eyes, the almost imperceptible twitch at the corner of your lips and the breathy sigh you try to conceal with a yawn. It makes him a little giddy, not expecting to find a new way to fluster you after all these years together.
Kakashi, who intentionally peers at you over the rim of his new favourite pair of frames whilst perched in his favourite reading spot. Beckoning you towards him with a crook of the finger, his book laid to the side, forgotten. Kakashi, who teases you over his new look and your obvious admiration. Who kisses you passionately, making love to you right then and there until you scream his name loud enough to carry on the wind.
Kakashi, who notices a reduction in the frequency of his migraines after a few months. Who still wakes in the night on occasion but the pain is never on the same level as once before. Perhaps he should have listened to you sooner, a fleeting thought that drifts through his mind whilst he gazes lovingly at your sleeping form next to him.
Kakashi, who will wear his glasses happily now. Thrilled that he no longer has debilitating pain to deal with, as well as a wife who clearly finds him attractive either with or without the frames adorning his face.
Kakashi, who loves you endlessly and would do anything to see you smile… never wishing to be the reason worry lined your expression ever again.
(this was meant to be a lot shorter but thoughts kept popping into my brain. As a glasses wearer and migraine sufferer this was rather self-indulgent but there is no way that Kakashi doesn’t suffer migraines after hosting the sharingan for so long…)
