Review: Oh my god! This is my new Kankri Vantas headcanon. This is what this character 'could' have been if the dancestors were given more screen time and actual character arcs. This fic also introduces some amazing aspects that blood players could have. Also that little hint of future CronusXKankri -- just perfect! It’s a crime that this story isn’t more popular.

What do you think about Latula x Porrim?

Literally the most gravely underrated thing ever. I view them as moirails, personally. They feel very... Very deeply PaleRom. Very healthily PaleRom, at that.

People really look at the fact that Porrim is the only person who we see not only recognize Latula's cool girl persona, but realize it's born out of genuine mental illness... And Latula feels comfortable enough around her to mostly drop it and be vulnerable around her. And they don't go insane about that on impact? They don't go prompt critical? What the fuck. There's so much depth happening there. There's so much implication. I need 500 more hours of whatever they fuck they have going on. And the fact that this is such an uncommon pairing despite being right fucking there is so, so deeply frustrating, because, like... You're telling me with a straight face that Kankri/Cronus is more popular than this? There's literally nothing there. There's fucking nothing. They're literally just two completely insufferable misogynistic ableist guys who looked at each other for 5 seconds. All Kankri did was enable Cronus being shitty and a liar because Kankri is a bootlicker. Literally all that scene was doing is showing why he got so uppity about the term "Wader"- by definition, he literally is one. That scene didn't mean anything other than "these two suck- here's why!" and people took it as ship material. Latula and Porrim are right there. Aranea and Meenah are right there. Aranea and Porrim are right there. And this isn't a ship, but no one talks about the dynamic that Meenah and Damara had during their game, either. That was so interesting!! These relationships are all so interesting!!

The well of the relationships between the women in the Alpha Troll cast is rich and deep, and yet. And yet. I may have to kill people, Anon.

Pairing: CronKri [Cronus Ampora x Kankri Vantas] Rating: Fluff “Do you want me to gel your hair, Cronus? I believe I have one of your little containers in my bathroom from one of the times you stayed over and forgot it.” Kankri spoke as he turned the blow dryer off. Cronus just shook his head no and stood up, going over to the smaller and hugging him tightly. Kankri smiled softly and placed one of his hands on Cronus’s arm, lightly rubbing it with his thumb. “Well then, why don’t we go lay down on the sofa? I can turn on the TV for some background noise if you’d like.” “Can you get that weighted blanket too…? The one that Porrim gave you on your last Wrigglin’ Day?”

Kankri just nodded and smiled, leading the other back into the living room. He took Cronus’s jacket and hung it on his coat rack before going to the closet and searching for the weighted blanket. Cronus in the meantime grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, flipping through a couple of channels until he found something that sounded interesting. He turned down the volume slightly, he wanted to hear Kankri more than the TV anyways.

Kankri came back and sat down beside the other, throwing the blanket around the two of them and snuggling into his partner’s side. Cronus smiled and wrapped one of his strong arms around the smaller’s waist, pulling Kankri even closer to his body. Kankri looked up and gently hooked his arms around the taller’s neck, gently tugging him down. Cronus made a soft purr and shifted the two into a laying down position, resting his head on the other’s chest, closing his eyes. Kankri cooed gently, lightly running his fingers through the other’s hair.

The soft murmur of the TV, the warm comforting fabric of Kankri’s sweater against his face and the pressure of the weighted blanket created this sense of ease. A sense of safety, security. Something that Cronus only seemed to get whenever he was with the mutant blood. Something that only Kankri seemed to produce. Everyone else would shut out Kankri, make the smaller feel like he was insignificant or that Kankri wasn’t useful to them. But Cronus? Kankri was his lifeline, his security, the one thing he held nearest and dearest to his bloodpusher. Kankri was his world and he was Kankri’s, no matter what happened.

Cronus was drifting off as his thoughts guided him into a restful slumber, but something woke him up a little. A pair of soft, gentle lips pressed against his own. It was Kankri… Cronus just closed his eyes and gently kissed back, tightening his arms around the smaller’s body. He felt his fins wiggle with soft joy. And for once…. He didn’t mind the feeling. The kiss only lasted a couple of moments before the two pulled away. Kankri smiled down at Cronus, gently stroking the seadweller’s hair. Cronus just tiredly smiled back, his eyes barely open. “Red for you, Cronus.”“Red for ya too, Kanny…”
