DCA Info Part 63: Halloween Outfits

Jinlong as Thorn Dragon

Much like how Diasomnia's costumes were based on Jiangshi, hoping vampires in Chinese folklore and their theme was based on East Asian Dragons, Jinlong's costume is based on western dragons, the kind commonly seen in fantasy literature or fairy tales.

In the Prototype, the outfit consisted of a gray gown with a gold and black collar, armor like accessories above the elbow, a belt and cuffs. The skirt appeared to have a slit at the side that reveals purple ruffles. The outfit also includes a pair of gray stockings with thorn detailing and black heels with gold trim and soles.

The Final Version of this costume has the colors differ greatly, now having a purple and black color scheme with the interior of the skirt being green and now having black ruffles. The outfit now has a pair of silver and black heels and purple stockings with roses and thorns. The gown additionally includes a chain attached to the belt buckle and said chain is attached to a heart charm with a sword in the center.

Elu as Bear Totem

Inspired by the world of Brother Bear, Elu's ensemble is based on Kenai, the protagonist of Brother Bear.

In the Prototype, the costume consisted of a tan parka with white fur trim, diamond like designs on the upper sleeves, and bear claw markings. The rest of the outfit consisted of a blue necklace with yellow diamonds and a bear in the center, a brown belt, a brown skirt and pants, with the pants having diamond like designs and brown shoes.

The Final Version of this costume keeps the costume mostly the same but the colors have been changed and the bear claw markings have been replaced by the same diamond like designs.

Allison as Rag Bones

This lolita like ensemble is inspired by Jack Skellington and Sally from Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.

In the Prototype, the costume consisted of a yellow dress shirt layered underneath a black and white striped bolero blazer with gray trim and bows, also included was a black bowtie with a gray cat pendant with wings that resembled those of a bat. The skirt was designed with a patchwork like feel to it, with the skirt having three colors, green with stripes and spots, yellow with black dots and purple with stripes. Also included was a waist chain that consisted of black, purple and orange beads and having charms that resemble candy corn, a star, a moon and a jack o lantern.

The Final Version of this costume is slightly altered, with the dress shirt now being purple and the bolero blazer now having orange stripes and bows, as well as having puffs. The chain of beads is now gold and features skulls and the skirt now has a red tartan part replacing the green portion. The skirt's interior is also now purple. The stockings are made to resemble stitched up legs and feature the same patterns on the skirt. For footwear, Allison sports a pair of black loafers. Allison wears a black headband with a pumpkin on it and the pumpkin has purple bat wings. On the topic of wings, Allison also sports a pair of fake wings that resemble those of a bat with black trim and the interior being purple with Halloween patterns on it.

Briar as Wilting Baby's Breath

Resembling a wedding dress, this costume is inspired by another one of Tim Burton's films, Corpse Bride, with the outfit being based on Emily, the titular corpse bride.

In the Prototype, the costume consisted of a white sweetheart wedding dress with baby's breath flowers on the left side of the bodice and white roses on the right of the two layered tattered skirt.

The Final Version of this costume remains mostly untouched but now includes a blue bead chain around the waist and the second layer of the skirt is now sparkly blue with swirl like patterns. The dress also appears to have a baby blue tint. Briar also wears a pair of pale blue heels with white stockings. Briar accessorizes with a blue tattered veil with baby blue roses and a pair of white gloves with the left side having ribbon.

Kenai tapped her pen repetitively against the janky wooden desk she sat at, her leg bouncing anxiously underneath it. She chewed on her bottom lip as she turned to look at the clock perched up above the white board at the front of the classroom for what felt like the 100th time. It was routine for her to check this clock towards the end of every school day. Routine for damn near 9 months straight. Thank god the school year was coming to an end. It was the final day Kenai would have to constantly turn and look at that damned clock until her much too short 2 month long summer break met it's end.

"And a gentle reminder to have all of your borrowed text books turned into the library by the end of the day. If you choose not to it'll simply be added to your obligations, but be warned- those books are not cheap! Anyway, I hope you all have an amazing summer and we can't wait to see your cheerful faces again next year." And with that the principles announcement was cut. The soft chime of the last bell of the day finally rang. Relief washed over Kenai as she could almost feel the stress and worries of her junior year being lifted from her body. Happy wasn't even the word for what Kenai was feeling right now. She didn't have to worry about jolting awake to her annoying ass chime ringtone at the literal crack of dawn every morning and put in effort to look presentable to show up to a place that felt like prisons sibling. No more pulling all nighters just to finish assignments, essays, and reports that she had procrastinated on until the deadline was literally minutes away. She looked forward to focusing solely on relaxation and a peaceful state of mind throughout her 2 month break.

The halls were definitely crowded to say the least. Students hooting and shouting about being free, some crying and dramatically hugging each other as though phones didn't exist and they couldn't keep in touch over the summer regardless of distance.

Everyone seemed just as excited as Kenai was about this stressful year finally coming to an end. Despite such she still opted for keeping her equal happiness within the safety of her own mind.

Kenai had made sure to turn her text books in a day prior. Why waste time walking halfway across the campus on the last day of school to wait in a long line of students and stay here an extra 30 minutes when she could just go straight home?

She made her way down the hallway, popping her airpods in to tune out the world as she made her way to the pick up area.

As soon as she pressed play on her phone an arm was suddenly wildly slung around her shoulder causing her to immediately look up and somewhat aggressively push herself away from the person invading her personal space.

"Damn, who hurt you??" Toni, her best friend looked at her sideways. An amused smirk making its way onto her face as she realized she had most likely just scared the shit out of Kenai.

"I hate when you do that shit." Kenai said rolling her eyes as she instinctively reached out to hold Toni's pinkie finger with her own. It's been a thing for them to hold pinkies with each other since they met, which was around 6th grade.

Toni laughed at her friend's sudden attitude, teasing her a little for the small pout on her face.

"It's the last day of school Kee, you don't look even a lil bit excited."

"I am excited." Kenai said as she sarcastically forced a big smile on her face before it collapsed back into her typical neutral one.

"Are you now." Toni replied, her eyes squinting a bit as she stared at Kenai.

"I am, do I have to bounce off the walls to prove it?" Kenai said, raising her eyebrow as she looked down at her slightly shorter friend.

Toni just smacked her teeth and shook her head as she broke eye contact.

"Smartass."

She mumbled, cracking a smile and tightening her pinkie around Kenai's.

It was obvious that Toni and Kenai were nearly polar opposites. Toni was outgoing, energetic, and overall just the epitome of an extrovert. While Kenai was more on the calmer side, more so the observant type with a good head on her shoulders.

She preferred to stay home and chill out rather than go out, especially to crowded events like parties and concerts. There's no denying that Kenai was also extremely attentive, sometimes too attentive for her own good. Often picking up on things, that she wasn't supposed to and sometimes unintentionally disturbing her own peace by doing so.

Others often took Kenai as the "motherly" type out of her and Toni's relationship. Seeing the way she took care of the people close to her and gave the best advice.

They were far from the same but there was a balance despite the fact. How else would they get along so well? Toni was around 5'5 while Kenai stood at around 5'9.

Kenai's complexion was slightly lighter than Toni's Russet chestnut brown one. Both of them flaunted pretty brown eyes, Toni's a slight shade lighter than Kenai's.

Without a doubt they were both beautiful, often attracting attention with nothing but a mere smile. But Toni had more of a way with guys around campus due to her being a social butterfly.

Kenai definitely wasn't complaining, dudes and big crowds were never her type of fun to begin with so she for sure preferred things the way they were. Which Toni, for the most part respected and was cool with.

"So wassup, what're your plans for the summer?" Kenai asked, genuinely curious as to what Toni was gonna be up to even though she already had an idea.

Toni looked at her from the corner of her eye, a sly smirk making its way onto her face before she diverted her gaze back to what was in front of them.

"Y'know.. the usual- Oh, you know it's like hella people already got parties and kick backs pre-planned, Shaniya is plannin' on havin' some kind of beach party- glow in the dark I thi-"

"A beach party? With the way Florida weather been actin' it'll be a no for me. You already know how I feel about hot weather."

Kenai declined, already seeing where Toni was going with her rambling.

"You ain't even let me get the question out."

Toni said, rolling her eyes and smacking her teeth as she opened the door to the main exit of the school.

"You're predictable."

Kenai mumbled, shrugging her shoulders as she followed behind her through the door.

"You literally stayed in the entire school year, I let you slide cause you had the excuse of school in general but it's summer Kee, you're supposed to be OUTSIDEE that house is holding you hostage."

Toni said dramatically, waving her hands around as she emphasized on Kenai stepping out of her house for once.

Toni's words were doing absolutely nothing, Kenai's mind was already made up. She would be content with being alone in the safety and comfort of her own room with some snacks and her favorite show or book, that was enough to satisfy her. That was her version of fun.

Rarley would Kenai go out. Yes, she did leave the house but it wasn't common. She wasn't too fond of large social gatherings and struggled to mingle among a big crowd, it was typical of her to stray away.

Like Toni said, she was only so lenient with nagging Kenai on getting out more during the school year because of school, but now that it had come to an end Toni expected her to get out there more or in her terms "go outside." She wasn't upset with Toni necessarily, but it was still irritating nonetheless.

"You turned your books in ahead of time like I told you to right?" Kenai switched the topic, recalling how she told her a week prior to get them in before the last day so they wouldn't have to worry about leaving late.

"Yes mama, I did." Toni teased, mocking her best friend's mother-like tendencies.

"Good cause-" Kenai was interrupted by someone yelling for Toni, trying to get her attention.

"Aye Nini! C'mere real quick lemme talk to ya'"

"What I told you bout callin' me that Kari."

Toni responded, Irritation lacing her voice as she continued walking and simply cut her eyes at him.

"Whatchu mean? You let everybody else call you that but when I do it, it's a problem. Don't be green Toni."

Kari said, tilting his head to the side as he walked up to her clearly amused. He gave Kenai a nod of his head before looking back towards Toni.

"Boy I said what I said, call me by my name or don't call me at all."

She said giving him a dirty look before sliding around him, grabbing Kenai's hand as to not leave her behind in the process.

"Whatever, you ain' shit but a stuck up hoe anyways!"

Kari yelled, to which Toni reacted by sticking up her middle finger and continuing to look straight ahead. Her expression highly unamused.

"Yo wh-"

Kenai moved to turn around and say something but Toni simply squeezed her hand and shook her head, smiling as she did it as a way of reassuring Kenai that his disgusting remark didn't have much of an effect on her.

Kenai smacked her teeth but still respected Toni's wishes.

"His pussy ass, pisses me off when dudes say the stupidest shit when their pride is hurt." Kenai said, rolling her eyes. Toni could definitely understand what she meant, but guys like Kari didn't have too much of an effect on Toni unless they attempted to do something physical. Majority of the time they were all bark no bite.

"It's whatever.. I ain' stuttin Kari's thirsty ass." Toni replied, her tone simple but her vexation still evident.

Kenai left it at that before once again diverting the topic elsewhere.

"My crib or yours?"

Kenai asked, letting a strap of her book bag slip off one of her shoulders.

Toni hummed, thinking about it for a second as she looked up at the sky for a moment.

"Yours, ion' feel like hearin' my mama mouth today so I'll just text her I guess." Toni said, shrugging as she pulled her phone from her back pocket.

"Alright." Kenai said, glancing at Toni out the corner of her eye before looking forward again.

Toni's mom wasn't the best to say the least. Majority of the time she would verbally abuse Toni and say the most outrageous things to her no matter who she was in front of. It's been like that her entire life but it seemed as though the older she got the worse it got. Since Toni has been dealing with her mother's mouth since childhood this explains why she never took anything other people said to her to heart. She had to learn to not let things her mom said get to her or else it would cause her to come off as "weak." Or so her mom said.

With that Toni often found herself going everywhere but home. Usually ending up at Kenai's place, her cousins, or every blue moon at her dad's. He lived on a completely other side of town, almost 2 hours away hence why she went so rarely. She loved her dad though, he was always there even when he couldn't be physically. Always present in any way he could be and for that she was grateful. Maybe she would get to visit him more since summer break had come around.

"Anyways, runnin' it back to this beach party- I think you should goooo.." Toni said, dragging out the last bit of her sentence as an attempted tactic of persuasion.

Kenai groaned, she should've known Toni wasn't gonna let it go that easily.

Kenai smacked her teeth once again.

"Girl when is it." She asked, sounding more like a dead statement than a question.

Toni's eyes lit up. "It's 3 nights from now... Saturday. That's plenty of time to make up your mind."

"Uh huh, and your cousin, is hosting right?" Kenai knew better than to just pop up at some random's party, anything could happen when you're around too many unfamiliar people.

"Yeah, the fam will be there too.. I think. Y'know we gotchu' Kee." Toni promised. Surprisingly Kenai agreed, only because she knew Toni wasn't gonna let it go until she cracked.

She still felt like she needed to think on it more but lord knows Toni would still find a way to convince her to go one way or another.

Once they'd made it to Kenai's house they immediately noticed that they couldn't hear the sound of Kenai's step brother playing his loud ass music or laughing with a few of his friends from the back patio like they usually would.

She was slightly suspicious but decided not to question it maybe he just felt like staying in today? It was really hot after all.

Kenai fished for her house key in the side of her bag before successfully finding it and pushing it gently into the key hole.

Once unlocked she stepped inside with Toni following suit, the cool AC immediately engulfing their warm bodies in a cold embrace. Kenai hummed at the feeling letting out a small whistle at the sensation of the refreshing air soothing her warm skin.

"You can head up stairs I'm gonna go look for Joong and get us sum' to snack on." Kenai said, placing her house key in the small bowl sitting atop the table near the front door.

Toni hummed in acknowledgment, making sure to grab Kenai's bag from her before making her way upstairs.

"Yo', Hongjoong!!" Kenai shouted, expecting a reply from the boy in question. It was obvious that he was somewhere near cause although barley audible she could hear more than one voice down the hall from the living room.

"In here!" He yelled back.

Kenai clicked her tongue and turned on her heels towards the living room. Upon entering she scanned the room spotting Hongjoong laying against the arm rest of the couch with his laptop in his lap and one side of his headphones on. She peeped how there was someone else's phone not too far from his position on the couch but didn't think much of it.

"Wassup' Nai," He mumbled, acknowledging her but seemingly having returned to focusing intently on his laptop.

Kenai groaned as she plopped down next to him, causing his body to slightly bounce as he glanced up at her with a questioning look before returning his gaze back to the task at hand.

"So damn boring, I really shouldna' even went. I'm glad the year is over with though." She complained. Hongjoong hummed in reply.

Kenai's dad passed away in a car wreck when she was about 3 years old. Leaving her mom a widow for about 5 years before she eventually remarried to Hongjoong's father when Hongjoong was 11 years old. Making Hongjoong her stepbrother.

Kenai and Hongjoong had gotten close pretty easily. Hongjoong had always wanted a sister, but unfortunately his father struggled with fertility issues making it hard to conceive another healthy child. Hell Hongjoong alone was a miracle. So he protected and cared for Kenai like she was his blood, as he always will. And of course that bond was reciprocated. Kenai was willing to do the same for him as he would for her.

Kenai wasn't all that familiar with the whole "how I met your mother" story between her mom and his dad but it happened, and it resulted in marriage.

"Where's mummy and papa?" Kenai asked in some sort of goofy accent that she had a habit of randomly using. She heard a door opening and closing in the distance as she asked but figured Toni had just come back downstairs at some point.

"Mama is finishing up one of her private lessons, dad is at the office, sum' bout a client meeting.." He trailed off, his tongue coming out to wet his bottom lip as he squinted at his screen.

"Alright well- Toni's here. We'll be in my room.." Kenai said, smacking her brother's thigh before getting up and going to leave the living room to head towards the kitchen.

He hummed in response again before raising his eyebrows in realization. "I got a surprise for you by the way." He said with a proud smirk on his face.

Kenai stopped and turned around to look at him, "Like what?" She asked suspiciously whilst throwing her braids over her shoulder.

"mmm, somebody came to see you." He said, his eyes flicking to something behind her before he looked back at her then his laptop screen. "Look behind you."

Kenai had felt someone's presence behind her as they spoke, once again assuming it was Toni quietly waiting behind her but she swore she smelled the faint scent of cologne and weed, the smell familiar on her nose but she just assumed she was tripping.

Kenai slowly went to look behind her still unsure of who it was until he opened his mouth.

"Hey, Princess." He spoke, his deep voice an immediate indication as to who he was along with the pet name.

There was just one person in the world that addressed her as such, her heart damn near jumped out of her chest as she met his eyes. In a very.. subtle manner of course.

"Mingi." Kenai said unamused. Mingi was one of Hongjoong's best friends. Also a close friend of hers but a close friend that she was currently irritated with.

He opened his mouth to speak but before he could get anything out Kenai cut her eyes at him and shoved past him being sure to aggressively bump his shoulder as she moved.

Definitely wasn't the reaction Mingi was expecting, but he'd gotten one nonetheless. The hell was her problem?

Kenai's summer had just began and from the looks of it, was already off to a janky start.

The four dog team that was only half my own dogs to four of my own dogs with a rather different pace, hitting 30+kmph when at top speeds, so much less time to be goofing with such things as hands in the air. Intro team was Chase and Noir in lead (my own pups), Mya and Gem (borrowed, RIP Gem) in wheel. Current four dog team, Kenai and Trapper in lead, Skadi and Zuko in wheel. I can switch their running positions around, no one is locked into a certain place, although my little black and white siberian, Trapper, is a little speed demon so if I were to try her in wheel more often I end up with tangles galore, therefore she is a pace setting lead dog, and a wonderful one at that. <3

Chase and Noir are only out on the trails socially now as they are both over 11yrs of age <3

Kairi game = discovering what princess she is

Plot idea:

Land of Departure -

Aqua, after some months of training, believes Kairi is ready to go out and explore the worlds.

Kairi is unsure the point in all this, since Sora has already restored and connected so many worlds, but Aqua reveals that in her time, there were even more. She tells her to look at the stars, there are many more worlds out there that havent been touched.

Putting a hand on her shoulder, she gives her encouragement, and Kairi agrees willingly, but still feels a bit aimless.

Worlds and lessons:

1. Brother Bear - at first, agrees to find the bear, but after the spirits give her the ability to talk to animals, she realizes the situation and holds off Kenai's brother until the truth is revealed, and saves Kenai's brother from fully turning into a heartless.(A true disney princess can communicate with animals lol but this journey is for her to discover how strong she really has become, being able to do this herself, and learning that love is one way to grow stronger and become an adult.)

2. Dumbo - gets caught in the storm when the tent is coming up, sees dumbo and Timothy drunk flying into a tree. She flies up, and they realize Dumbo can use his ears to fly, but hes scared. The crows give him the feather, and Timothy convinces Kairi to come to Dumbos first show. Kairi goes to save dumbo, and tells him his heart is what makes him fly, helping Timothy to get the feather later but dumbo flies to save her from a circus heartless. After that, he doesnt need the feather, but reveals hes seen Kairi's good luck charm. Kairi says Sora is like her 'Feather', but hes always in her heart, even when hes away. (She begins to miss Sora again but sees her potential as a Keyblade wielder, she no longer doubts her own growing strength) <dumbo doesnt speak, Timothy does for him>

3. Lady and the Tramp - helps Lady escape heartless and Tramp saves her from dogs in deadend. Finds Lady and Tramp later trying to sneak away from the dogcatcher at the zoo, and helps take Lady's muzzle off. She watches them eat together and looks up to the sky with stars in her eyes. (She wishes to share more memorable moments with Sora, hints of romance and pining.) <dogs barely speak to Kairi, it's a short introduction>

4. Pocahontas - meets Grandmother Willow and gains the ability to speak to many and all languages by 'Listen with your heart, you will understand', then is taught the compass of her heart will guide her on her destined path. Kairi is a bit jaded by fate, worried her fate was so changed that it hurt Sora and possibly other worlds. Grandmother Willow encourages her to continue what Sora started, and unlock worlds to save and restore them. Follow the connection of those both to Sora, and make new connections for Sora as well, from the friends she now makes. She helps fight in the war and helps Pocahontas to stop it. (Renewed spirit, a direction and sense of where to go and what to do.)

5. Treasure Planet - is convinced of black and white, villain and hero, before realizing that there is light in all things, and how much Jim sees John Silver as his mentor and friend... it breaks her heart, but she can't save Silver from turning into a heartless, defeating him, helping restore his heart, and watching him sacrifice himself so they can all escape. (Hearts are not pure light or darkness, and one can choose light and darkness. A heart can be redeemed)

7. Moana - her gummi ship transforms by help of the new technology from Chip and Dale, fights Kakamora, then finds Moana grabbing the heart back from the ocean. Helps her restore the heart after fighting the heartless verison of Te Fiti, Te Ka, and is determined to help Sora by returning his own heart... she feels ready now. (Reestablishes that she holds Sora's heart)

8. Finding Nemo - while in the dentist office, being told to take a seat for her appointment and being confused, Kairi overhears the fish talking about their escape plan. She turns around and admits she can help, which scares them at first that she can understand them. Minigames ensue with the fish tank and she helps them escape... hearing about Nemo's father and his unrelenting quest to find his son, she is once again touched and renewed that she will not quit her search for Sora... she believes in Riku, and again, with all her heart, wishes for both their safe returns, hoping he found Sora.

9. Jungle Book - hears Shere Khan's planning and before he reached the 'Man Cub', goes to fight him. He is determined to stop this 'Man Cub' from leaving the jungle... alive. She fights him but he gets away and so she fights the heartless Kaa. She overhears then the conversation between Baloo and Bagheera, and realizes she must return where she belongs... who exactly is she? She knows shes a princess of heart but... she decides to find out more about her past, telling Sora's heart she feels that's right to do, but she wont abandon her main quest.

10. Hollow Bastion - Some recompleted members of the old organization 13 remember Kairi's royal family, descendant of an ancient Keyblade lineage, and lived in the castle here, where the research was also conducted. She learns about the mysterious girl that Lea and Isa had known, and wonders... apparently, they reveal her father was from another world! (Hint that Kairi is possibly a Final Fantasy princess, and not a disney one!)

10. Wrought by the wrong done to her, but also glad she met Sora, she sees a terrible fire on a world and lands there. Meeting Bambi and his friends, she wonders why Bambi can keep fighting the fire and dog heartless while so injured. Hes searching for Faline, who hes twitterpatted for. She helps fight a hunter heartless and sees Bambi reunite with his true love. She decides then that although her destiny was altered, and she was taken from her family, she gained a new life, new friends, and now... a joined destiny with Sora. Bambi also recognizes her wayfinder, and she tells him shes twitterpatted for Sora. First time admitting it outloud, but it makes Bambi happy and prance around. Bad things happen, but love will always be a strong enough reason to continue on.

11. Frozen 2 - finds Christof, who trusts her once she confirms shes friends with Sora, and searches for Anna. Finds her after she loses Olaf, helps her lure the earth golems/giants to destroy the dam, and helps the angered, heartless spirits calm down when Elsa was frozen solid. When she returns, Kairi slowly steps away... she will do the next right thing, and gain her Mark of Mastery... then go to save Sora, or at least... find any way she can. No matter the darkness, she will do the next right thing.

12. Lion King 2 - Learns about love, how it casts no shadows and darkness cant remain in a heart filled with the power of love. Fights to end the lion war, and save Simba. She also tries to help Kiara save Zira... she then learns that some choose darkness, and refuse to be saved. Not that they cant be, but that they wont be... No matter how seeped in darkness one's heart is... light is always a choice, no matter what. Simba tells her he knows Sora, and that she reminds him a lot of Sora'a strength too. It encourages her to believe shes finally ready to take on her Master and be considered a keyblade master as well.

Land of Departure -

Kairi returns, talks about what shes learned and how Dumbo, Bambi, Simba, and Christof all recognized her as Sora's friend. She wonders if Sora's heart was sensed by them... the light it carries, and the connection they share as friends. Aqua shakes her head, saying it may be the case, but it's probably Kairi's own heart that formed those bonds of friendships with them. Shes saved so many worlds, reminded others of Sora's connection to them, and made it even stronger.

Not just that, Kairi has found her own strength and conviction in the process.

Last final boss, Master Aqua.

Kairi becomes a master, goes to the Nameless Star, and is finally ready to help Riku and find Sora, too!

Is she... a secret princess of Quadratum?

OMG thank you so so much!! I'm so glad you like them, I didn't know if anyone was looking at them. I have other characters I haven't posted yet, like Aurora and Phillip, Snow White and her Prince Charming (I named him Florian), Nani, Wendy and Kenai. I wasn't plannning on doing it cause in my gameplay I focused more on the other ones and these ones get more protagonism after, during college and stuff. But now that you say it, I might make a bonus pic with the ones I have left! Thank you!😁😉

To my followers who love her, on the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney Studios, Kitty, (now in her 50s) and her family are invited as the guests of honour to a party for animators and their cartoon characters. Every character ever created by the studio is there. She's hesitant to turn up, she was an animator a long time ago after all but with some encouragement from her family she decides to go. She dresses smartly and to her surprise there is a fancy car waiting for her outside their house. The chauffeur explains that the escort is courtesy of Mickey and Minnie themselves. Maisie excitedly clutches her mother's arm and they arrive to a bustling reception.

She shakes hands with old friends, makes some new connections and embraces the toons she's known and helped since she was young.

•Prince Charming and Cinderella greet her at the staircase and Kitty asks how they and their mice are doing. In response, Jacque-Jacque and Gus run through riding Lucifer the cat like a horse.

•Dumbo swoops overhead and gives her a wave with his trunk.

• Baloo sings on stage with Thomas O'Malley and Scat Cat, dedicating a song to the guests of honour.

•Ariel and Moana are chatting in the foyer and smile brightly as she returns from touching up her make-up.

•She runs into Ursula in there who was reapplying her mousse and gossiping about which Prince and Villain look the most dashing tonight.

•She gets a similar gracious nod from Maleficent and the Wicked Queen.

•Hades pulls on the old "You look familiar kid, do I know you? Ah! Amazon chick, right?"

•She is given a warm reception from the animals: Scar, Shere Khan, Shenzi Banzai and Ed, Kaa, Bagheera, Robin Hood and Little John, Kenai, Iago, Sebastain, Louis, Ray, Bambi, Thumper, Big Bad Wolf, the Three Little Pigs, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps are just a few of the animal toons she chats with that night.

•Anastasia and Drizella do fangirling over her outfit. They also praise how well she's aged.

•The Genie appears out of a nearby ink well to surprise everyone and when he sees her he gives the biggest smile. "Kitty Hawkins!" *transforms into a cat and a hawk in the space of a second* "I knew it was you Sweetheart, I never forget a face except my own!" *takes off his face* "I'd forget my own head if it wasn't attached!" He lifts it off his shoulders and Ichabod Crane faints.

•Elsa and Anna come up to speak to her when they sense her nerves. Elsa's a bit overwhelmed by the crowds too.

•Bruno Madrigal apologises profusely when one of his rats jump onto her shoulder and is pleasantly surprised when she doesn't mind and even asks how he got on with family group therapy.

•She gets a hug from John Silver.

•Milo Thatch is there with his wife Princess Kidagakash and they talk about languages. In Dutch.

•Mr Smee brings Captain Hook a drink. He's a surprisingly giggly drunk.

•Belle and her have a terrific catch up. She also thanks her very much for helping the Beast become comfortable with his drawn form.

•Lumier helps to watch Maisie and calls her "la petite madamoiselle."

•Merlin knows how to make everyone a good cup of tea and mix cocktails. The Mad Hatter is behaving more erratically than usual.

•Kitty's husband is shaking hands with a lot of anti-heros and even a villain or two. They are incredibly grateful to him for helping them clear their names and turn their lives around.

•Snow White recieves a standing ovation for singing. She invites Asha, the newest Disney character up on stage and gives her a hug to quell her fears about not being welcomed.

•Kitty and Meg roast the executives behind their back.

•At some point in the evening, a cake is wheeled out and Tigger jumps out of it holding a "Happy 100 Years!" sign.

Kitty is sipping her drink and enjoying the armosphere when a hush falls as Mickey and the organisers give a special toast to all who turned up tonight. He thanks Scrooge McDuck for the funding, Tiana's Place for the catering, Daisy Duck for the decorations...suddenly Kitty hears her name. And a round of applause. She's being honoured and thanked by all the cartoons she ever helped mentally and emotionally. Her family are cheering.

"Hooray Honey! Congratulations!"

"Yay Mom!"

She smiles. It's all worth it. It was always worth it.
