god the writing in KG is just impeccable and it does NOT get the credit it deserves because i can put any two characters from the main 5 together in a pair and they'll have some interesting contrasts and points in common that they don't have with the others

imagine if the passage of time DID exist in keroro gunso. I just think its funny to try and imagine what the hell keroro does when the hinata kids grow up. i say keroro specifically since like. giroro and kururu both basically live independently. and i dont imagine momokas leaving nishizawa mansion, and theres no real reason koyuki would move somewhere and Not bring dororo with her. Anyway I think “what happens to keroro when the hinata kids are adults” is just, if fuyuki ever moves out keroro weighs “stay in the same location as the established secret base” vs “stay with bestie” and chooses stay with bestie. Pretty straightforward. He would feel so fucking weird without natsumi around telling him what to do though. Shows up at her new house every other week and goes miss natsumi… whose turn is it to clean the bathtub…. and she goes I DONT FUCKING KNOW ARRANGE THAT WITH FUYUKI?

Hi! For the hurt one, where there are four graphics and Kero gets his keron star taken away - is there any comfort version of this or a comfort/happier followup? My heart hurts and I just wanna know he becomes ok and gets his star back, please.

He was loved back to health with the help of his platoon, who made their own individual star stickers for him. Reformed dark Keroro also wishes to apologize.

Conversation in the Swamps

Love leads to attachment - and that leads to the Dark Side…

Her statement hung in the air like a hollow echo as the vision of her time in carbonite assailed by the visions of Valkorian taunting her. Yet she had loved once; deeply and was hurt just as deeply by his betrayal and thus she had sunk herself deeper into the Jedi Code for solace.

The darkness of the swamps of Zakuul, so different from the bustling city towers, allowed them in the darkness to hear the noises of the animals that frequented the marshes. A lot of these animals were predators and Claria and Lana had to be on their guard, their sword hands hovering close to their lightsabers just in case those weapons were needed.

She had been encased in carbonite for five years; five years lost to the ruling oligarchy of Zakuul; a brutal dictatorship that had consisted of the Sith Emperor before she put the blade of her red-bladed lightsaber through him, ending his life and placing the rule over Zakuul into the hands of Arcann and Vaylin; the psychopathic children of an even more psychopathic parent.. The red-bladed lightsaber was the preferred weapon of the Sith and she had used it as a part of her disguise undercover on Sith worlds. Claria hated deception, but to use her green-bladed double-blade lightsaber was to invite certain death as an easily identifiable weapon of a Jedi. It was better to use the weapon of a Sith whilst undercover.

Darth Marr was dead, killed by the lethal force-lightning blast from the fingers of Valkorian or was he Lord Vitiate. And she had languished for five years encased in a tomb that kept her between life and death, unable to breathe, unable to scream, yet held in limbo as the time ticked away.

And Lana had tried to move mountains in order to rescue her from her prison. Lana Beniko; a Sith Lord. Claria wondered how she had become best friends with the blonde-haired Sith. Lana was, after all, a practitioner of the Dark Side. Jedi and Sith were normally mortal enemies, but Lana had an air about her that seeking power was just not something she was interested in.

Gazing into the darkness that surrounded the swamp Claria reminisced. Two years prior to the capture of her and Darth Marr over Zakuul, she had been forced to cut down the love of her life in the passageways of the Sith Empire’s Harrower Class Dreadnought that was Darth Nox’s flagship Marauder, a ship that was feared throughout the galaxy for the crew’s sheer ruthlessness under orders from the vicious and ruthless Darth Nox himself - member of the Dark Council and the pillager of worlds; unbelievably the once-gentle Keron who now refused to surrender and return to the Light Side of the Force and who longed to destroy any Jedi who crossed his path. After a harrowing emotional and physical battle between Jedi and Sith, her green shimmering blade had entered his body vaporizing internal organs and ending his body’s capacity to sustain life, she had seen him turn back; his irises losing the red-tinged yellow and returning to his natural brown as he breathed his last.

:Attachments can be a weakness to be utilized against you by those who would seek to destroy you. Do not follow that path, Do not mourn for me...I am free. I will be with you always in the light of the Force: Keron’s voice echoed in Claria’s mind, the gentle voice she remembered from many years ago.

Tears filled her eyes as she recalled the light leaving his eyes leaving them dull and lifeless as she had held his limp body and wept. She would now follow the Jedi Code to the letter. Even if Theron Shan was constantly trying to flirt with her. Same with Koth Vortena. The two of them couldn’t help it. Theron was always seeing women throw themselves at his feet. Koth was just a regular smuggler/wrench who seemed to be unable to keep a ship under him, until he had found the Gravestone in which they were currently sheltering. I will follow the Jedi Code; there will be no more attachment, Claria resolved. There is no love for me any more. My love died aboard the Marauder.

There was no way to come to terms with the loss of Keron, since she’d had to kill him. Being encased in carbonite was part of that problem.

N: The Keron army base built in secret deep beneath the Hinata house, there and now a fearsome plot was hurriedly, and roughly progressing.

K66: Well then, the me that until now has been spaced out and making gunpla every day has deceived you!

The time to seriously return to invading Pekopon has come

TMM: Mr Sergeant is- M: Uncle is burning!

K66: Eh? Ahh! Hot hot hot!

N: That's burning too much

TMM: Setting that aside, Mr Sergeant, if we conquer Pekopon, I want to ban rice and bread! Then we'll make it all cake, and make cola flow from the taps, I think that would be good!

G66: Well I think P.E. in Pekopon's elementary schools should be made 12 hours each day. Of course, during summer it would be alright to be late or cause trouble, at long you get strong.

966: Ku ku ku, if it were me, I'd teach them evil science and eventually build an army of evil cyborgs.

D66: I, yes, would cultivate bountiful hearts-

1-Like in the intro drama, Keroro uses a younger sounding form of "I" than usual here

2-The words used aren't the normal ones for stone (ishi) and paper (gami), but specifically for rock paper scissors

3-This is based on kanji & furigana, the latter being when kana are put next to a kanji to show how it's pronounced. We usually think of it being used in publications for children or teenagers to help make a word easier to read or look up, but it's also used in cases where a word borrowed from another language is used to tie the unfamiliar pronunciation to the meaning, or a word is said differently from normal, or to add further meaning.

The last is what Kururu is referring to, where you write the kanji for one word that applies, but the furigana for a more accurate word, or one with your additional meaning. This one was a bit tricky since both words can mean serious, but different degrees, so I went with a different translation.

ok ill start with keroro actually. specifically how He of all people got the Keron Star which is like. The Thing for all of keron. highly revered, very powerful, the symbol of Keron itself short of the supreme commander. Why tf does he have it. Who is he.

Invaders are by their nature, soldiers! Warmongers, offensive. They take over planets. They fight and kill. great. Some of canon, least in the beginning, mentions he used to Be this but coming to pekopon changed him. A serious cool invader who only likes toys and eating junk food? tf.

ofc, then you find out that he had apparently Always been like this, and he only supposedly got by through family nepotism.

imo most of that is hearsay, or propaganda, or rumors. Everyone ended up fucking off their respective ways after academy training for the next 8 thousand some years, no? Everyone has all of these expectations and visions, but i hc that the truth is that Keroro is...well...both! Both a clown, and an intelligent leader. When he has the means to be.

He wasn't really a Huge Hyperintelligent Serious Asshole before he came to earth with a fearsome rep - but neither is he a huge idiot dickhead the way later manga and early anime like to show it tbh.

The guy is a clown! He's always been a clown. The guy doesn't like to fight! But he can somehow forge alliances by Breathing. He has a Heart, for all that he's a bit of a dense jackass. He befriended the Angol tribe - an actual race of planet destroyers and otherwise a giant fucking threat to Keron. And it's clear by the progression of the anime, as well as the movies, that he's a lot smarter than people give him credit for.

He Unites people, and when push comes to Actual Shove he can and will actually murder someone for the sake of his folks.

this? these two bitches be co-existing. They are the same people. He is both Clown and Actual Serious Murder Machine.

tbh i hc that keroro is, when the humidity isn't fucking him up, friendly and thoughtful and charismatic with a love for toys ofc, but retains a very sharp edge that isn't afraid to get serious. He can Think and he can Process. He's Intelligent. He can actually sit his ass down and process and do his work like he's meant to and hold decent conversations that don't revolve around gundam or some other silly thing. He can function very well as an adult just fine. I think here of episode 262B in particular.

He's a Lot of things. Not many people saw the complexity. But the Supreme Commander did, and the Keron Star did, and that is what the Keron Star Needed and that is what the supreme commander Saw. a right and proper leader, with Actual Heart, a combination that nobody else really possessed. A person who can get things done without being so forceful or harsh, the way most of the military is designed to be. A unifying body.

its just that the fuckin humidity scrambled his brain so now he's kinda...like That, as he is in the show now.

So what people expect when they think of the holder of the keron star is not what they get - because the holder was not based on pure strength, and his environment is Also not good for his health. he's essentially kind of drunk and heat exhausted like. all. the time. so everyone is like ????

but there's a reason he has it.

ok guys discussion time. what do YOU think it would take to turn giroro against keron. i couldnt think of anything specific myself (which is why i ask) but my personal notes are that he's loyal to keroro to a fault (going along with missions that are so blatantly pointless and unproductive there's no way he could miss it) but ALSO that has not stopped him from attempting solo invasion efforts when frustrated so who knows. Also again he was willing to go AWOL when he was left disabled by belt theft (the consequences of which would likely be severe but he was willing to accept) so thats Also Something

i actually wanted to find a screenshot of the part of the manga that goes over “if a platoon fails they can be forced to never see or interact with each other ever again” but i couldn’t find where it is but i Do remember that happening. so far ive just thought of garuru blatantly allowing the keroro platoon to win and succeed and keep their jobs despite not being good at their jobs as just, being nice to giroro, his little brother wants this station so he’ll help him keep it, but this made me think Oh it would probably be SO MUCH WORSE. for All of them. if garuru did not opt to Greatly Exaggerate The Keroro Platoon’s Skills. They almost definitely could not officially quit their jobs even if they Wanted to because one way or another it would not. go well. Fail? Get permanently separated from your lifelong friends, at least. Quit and stay? Keron will just send in a new invasion team. (The good thing is, the Keroro Platoon consists of comic idiots who I’m not sure have all even fully realized they don’t want to invade, so they’re probably safe.)
