What I’m into right now is sketching Brain from Kingdom Hearts, why? well aside from the fact that he’s my fave, I’ve discovered that there’s a Brain Zine in the works!!

-so after screaming for a minute or so, I immediately applied!

This is me thinking up different ideas for a possible piece - much like the Lumine ones these are sketches - though due to the fact that I’m more familiar with Brain and his outfit I find myself getting more detailed none of them took me more than an hour tho! lol - I’m bad at stopping myself from going straight into finished pieces, but I feel like I did manage to stop at a decent place for these to remain in the sketch territory. (I do intend to finalize all of these, and all of Lumine sketches as well ;o; - but when!? oh when!!? - this one is more time-sensitive now tho)

The borders are something new I’m trying out - mirror tool and doodling them in my spare time, then saving them for later pieces.

Hi brothers and sisters, I would love to share with you a poem that I wrote today (24th June 2023). It doesn't rhyme at all for it was originally written in Polish. The One Who saves

You know my heart better than I do

Only You know how joy fills it

With You, no storm is scary for me

For I know that The Most High Is by my side and protects me

The Most High Is always by my side

Right with the Son of God and Holy Spirit

I will overcome every storm with the Holy Trinity

And I will not fear the darkness, but I'll fight it

With Him by my side, no fear has the power

I won't even fear the arrow flying at night

And pestilence that stalks in the midday

And the plague that will come in the darkness

Thousands will be falling, but I won't fall

For I drew close to The One Who says: "I will rescue him

I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name"

I tell You, if you draw close to Him

Holy Spirit will come to you and everyone who wants Him

He will be abide with you even when your sin is huge

He won't leave you, but will save you from it

He will change you and remind you of everything

That Jesus told His deciples

He will help you, become your Comforter

Moreover, He will come out to be the Best Teacher

In His Name and Presence there is Omnipotence

He delivers people from demons and heals — that's for sure

There is no doubt that that's His ability

I saw His Greatness with my own eyes

He leads us to the Only One

Who can lead us to eternal life

In His there is our salvation

For He decided to lose His own life for our redemption

In His Wounds there is our healing

In His suffering we found our strength

Even in the midst of the biggest suffering, we won't give up

For we don't gain our strength from ourselves but from The One Who Is Obedient

To God and fulfills His will

With Him by our side there is no way that someone will suffer misery

For He takes away from us any burden

Never lets us bear on our shoulders the burden that is too great

We share our cross with Him

And shout with joy: "Heavenly Kingdom, come"

For we can't wait for the moment in which

We will see how the Son of God comes for the second time

We will see the huge power in Him once again

When a huge purification will come to the world

Every spirit will be purified from every sin

And will get to know about the Majesty of our Savior

Who comes from the God Almighty

And sits on His Right Side

Every nation will find the Messiah in Him

Everyone who loves Him won't know what allegation means

That brings death, for he will be saved

When Lord Jesus right with the rest of the Holy Trinity comes to His people

His people who were waiting for Him with patience and gratefulness

While fulfilling the will of God, so that He will find what He expected when He comes:

Living in agreement and harmony between everyone

And the law of love that was turned into action

All people who were supposed to be saved and led to Jesus by the help of others

Found the Way leading to the Gate Of Sheep and went through it not by the murderers and hunters

Heavenly Kingfom will also be on earth

When the Son of God comes here,

There will be no more place for the quarrels, plagues and sin

Every nation will be happily walking hand in hand

It all will happen thanks to the mercy of The Most High

So let all of us praise His Name with no breaks

For He deserves all the praise and glory preached by everyone

For He saved us from the evil and gave us the eternal life — the Lion of Juda

He took away the key of death from satan and rules over it

He wants to redeem everyone with His The Most Precious Blood Which He constantly sheds

In the sacrament of reconciliation in which we meet Living Him every day

Under the wine and our daily bread

His Power turns into the Blood and Body of Jesus

As a symbol of forgiving our sins and remembrance of His Sacrifice

For Which we should be grateful

And most importantly, be willing

To be closer to the Holy Trinity day by day, by welcoming The Most Holy Jesus

Crucified for us, Risen and Ascended into Heaven

Into our hearts through the Eucharist

That our Savior Jesus Christ  created Himself in the cenacle before He was betrayed

By His unfaithful servant and deciple Judas Iscariot

So that it will turn out to be just like it was written in the Scripture:

"All who see Me mock Me

They hurl insults, shaking their heads"

He went through it all for our salvation

May the whole earth love Him every day

And may be lifted high the shouting of sheep from the sheepfold:

"Oh, God Almighty, praise and glory be to You forever!"

[OH gosh. I'm sure there are so many but the games I played the shit out of on ps2 were Devil May Cry and Kingfom Hearts. The latter slightly more than the former just because I didn't get into DMC until later on but both of these series are still highly ranked for me.

When I was a kid, I played the original KH soooooo many times it's insane. I would sit in my room and play it for hours in end, listening to my teeny bopper CDs. It was such a fun and neat concept and I loved Sora, Donald, and Goofy to bits. I think even back then I was skeptical that it would work, but ten year old me gave it a shot and never regretted a second. Unfortunately, I didn't get to play KH2 as much because I vaguely remember our copy was scratched or something so it didn't like to start up. So I think I've only beaten that literally once. Which is unfortunate. Though I know I was confused as shit because I didn't get to play Chain of Memories or 358/Days first because we didn't have the right system (I can't even remember what they were originally on outside it was a handheld...the DS maybe?). BUT Kingdom Hearts was definitely an all time favorite for me and my younger brother.

As I said, I got into Devil May Cry a lot later in the Ps2's lifetime, and I actually started with DMC 3. Which considering the timeline, it worked out since that's the prequel the the first two. It was definitely a hell of a lot different than the games I usually played but God I adored it. I still don't feel I'm particularly good at the combos and shit but idc it's so fun to just hack and slash the shit out of demons and occasionally figure out a neato combo (don't get me wrong; I do TRY but u no). And it was actually pretty challenging too so that's always fun. Dante is easily one of my favorite characters of all time, but that series has so many fun characters and the story is pretty solid imo for the most part. But it was another I could spend hours playing and revisit multiple times without boring of it. I was definitely hype when they release DMC 5 and was soooooo happy it didn't disappoint. I really need to go back and play those games too, tbh, especially 5.]

Okies so one day I saw a post that said the part of Rikus pants in kh1 is for fishing and showed pics. Then I saw a pair of kh1 Soras shoes and I thought... Okies if Rikus pants are like that then maybe their shoes...

So I looked up different shoes and saw that. Yea in kh1 the trios shoes are insane and curved up and why? Aside from Aoras shoes playing on Mickeys red shorts and giant yellow shoes that is. So I thought after seeing that... Maybe they're running shoes...? Weirdly styled and exagerated running shoes.

They share the same curved dynamic. Supposedly that curve is to put energy into ones running. Which I understand since if ones shoes are flat and they need more traction, which tends to come from using your toes when pushing, I'd want the same thing on the beach. When running on the beach with lots of sand that doesn't take well to any shoe. I want extra traction.

Who hasn't tried running on the beach and it sucked? I tend to dig my toes in more for traction but that doesn't work since I'm wearing sandles or flat shoes where there is no curve. I have to more room on my shoes for traction in order to do a good run. So if I were to wear Soras shoes on thr beach, the huge curve up would give me the traction I need when running on the beach.

So TLDR: the trio in kh1 are just wearing exagerated running shoes. Running shoes made for the beach.

What het fans don’t get about Sokai vs SoRiku discourse

I preface this with saying I was a Sokai fan for years when I was younger (still like the ship) and my primary ship is sorikai (or any combination of the destiny trio tbh)

There’s a lot of implicit homophobia or tonedeafness in a lot of het Sokai fans responses to ship comments. This isn’t about the ships themselves but rather fan behavior. What fans don’t get specifically about queer kingdom hearts fans is that so often in media there exists so much queer subtext. So many narratives that we see and pick up on and it never gets confirmed. This is known as queerbaiting which I won’t go into more detail here but there’s lots of info about queer baiting. Another thing is that queer folks constantly have to live in a world where we are defending that we’re not delusion for reading queerness into things and seeing ourselves reflected in media. For so many queer fans of kingdom hearts it’s not actually about the ship, it’s about our narratives being represented.

Now in kingdom hearts in particular the lines between romantic and platonic are never really defined, for a franchaise aboht love and tenderness and all of these themes it’s such a versitile platform that being said there is a ton of queer coding in these games. As a queer person I can see that regardless of if I like a ship or not. (There’s tons of ships in this game that I’m like okay I don’t ship it but the queer coding is THERE). What queer fans are even more irked by is the underdevelopment of Kairi and sora mostly because the overall underdevelopment of Kairi as a character.

Kairi is not given a personality, she exists to further soras character and be a damsel he must save. This is why despite liking Sokai as a ship I *hate* canon Sokai. There is no development of their relationship platonic or romantic. We barely hear anything from Kairi. The only reason it is a “canon” ship doesn’t have to do with any actual development of the relationship but merely because she’s a girl and soras a boy. THAT is what irks queer fans. Not what the narrative is *suppose* to be but how it is actually executed. And this is something that also irks me as someone who’s queer and a fan of Sokai in some contexts.

And yes queer fans do have a right to be irked at queer baiting. We have a right to be frustrated with knowing the same compulsory heterosexuality we are all too familiar with in real life is playing out in the media we consume. And when het fans minimize that, guess what you become a part of the larger course of het folks who perpetuate heteronormativity. Note I’m not saying the ship itself or all Sokai fans but rather those who are not critical or minimize legitimate points queer fans bring up.

There’s nothing wrong with shipping Sokai, but as the narrative stands it’s only canon because it’s het and that does a disservice to soriku and Sokai fans. It does a disservice to queer fans regardless of ships. And I’m so tired of it. Let queer people be angry that we got done dirty by this and so much other media. So many het Sokai fans can be tone deaf to the actual implications and larger structures and its fucking exhausting. Like ship whoever you want but you can’t deny that queer baiting is a thing that happens in this game and you can’t blame queer folks for being upset about that.

And also let’s be real they’re all useless bisexuals in love with eachother.
