If what you're saying is true, pray tell what was the whole point of them going through the trouble to enlist via the buddy program????
exactly so why is jimin doing the training alone💀 why did jikook get different jobs💀 went through ALL that just for one to be a cook and the other to be part of the toughest part of the army make it make sense
Find Yoon Suk Yeol and ask him. If not then
You'd have to wait for the answer like everyone else.
If something is wrong the truth will come out eventually
Personally I don't see it as a big deal because I don't know the ins and out of Korean military service. I don't know if the buddy program means they have to do everything and I mean EVERYTHING together or whether some things are left to their individual choices and preferences or whether or not it was predicated on them passing various tests.
Just because they enlist together don't mean they will perform equally in everything. Jimin might out perform Kook in certain things and Kook might be more suited for other things and I reckon that can impact what they get to do in there. This is not Run BTS they can't always cheat their way into the same teams.
In the end, whatever they are doing they are both serving their country and playing roles relevant to military service. They are both contributing in meaningful ways.
I don't know everything and I'm more than patient to find out and I will find out eventually🙂
You don't have to bark at everything you see and hear it's childish and not every one is reactionary like some of yall.
Learn to be okay with not being okay.
I can share my therapist's IG with you.
She's very good🙂

a linguist plays chants of sennaar (pt 5)
[pt 1] [pt 2] [pt 3] [pt 4]
the home stretch!!
disclaimer: can't promise that i'll have any insights that a layperson wouldn't have, this is kinda just me thinking through the grammar of the language out loud haha.
this post covers the fifth and last language in chants of sennaar and will contain spoilers for both the language and the endgame! it also assumes you know what the symbols mean already.
Tumblr media
i.... to be completely honest with you, i did not enjoy this language 😂 i think the experience of deciphering it got lost in favor of the storyline, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for everyone, but hey, i am the one going through each of these languages like a linguistic bloodhound here lol. because of that, i'm not as familiar with these words as i am with the other languages.
before we get into anything else, and also because i imagine that this will be a shorter post because the game itself tells you what patterns to look for, i do want to say that this language strikes me as being incredibly artificial. which is a good thing! it emulates the digital apocalypse vibe that exile gives. but a language that leans so heavily into being constructed and recombined and modulated so easily really gives me the impression that it was created and not organically developed. the only other irl example that comes to mind at the moment is korean hangeul, which was purposefully created by king sejong and is an alphabet, not a logography. like, this is a language that i would make for fun in high school (which is to say, it gives a kind of overly grammatically strict, awkwardly too regular vibe?).
it's kind of funny that this language is where i'm starting to get reminded of conlangs, especially when, well, everything in this game is a conlang. but if we take each of the radicals in this language as affixes/morphemes when they're being combined into one character, then this actually reminds me of a specific conlang (ithkuil, i think?) where you can convey incredibly complex ideas through very few words.
Tumblr media
the language of the anchorites isn't quite this complex, but hopefully the comparison gets my point across?
i’m curious if only certain elements can be combined with each other or if there’s a certain order to them, but it’s hard to tell when there’s such limited evidence in the game. interestingly, i believe the anchorites’ language is the only one in this game that makes a distinction between “die” and “death/dead” by combining the noun with the verb “go”. not sure why the developers suddenly made that decision haha.
this language, like most in the game, is an SVO language, which we can see below:
Tumblr media
but i think also they (the developers) were trying to convey more complex sentence structures than their language was designed to communicate??? so then you end up w smth like below:
Tumblr media
which, if you translated literally, would actually be “you man i wait”. again, super interesting bc i think an actual, more accurate anchorite sentence should be “i wait you man”. they have a more complex sentence here bc of the predicate (“you’re the one”) and the dative (“for”), but really the sense that they’re trying to go for is “i was awaiting the one [who is you]”. i guess it’s possible that different grammatical cases are treated differently in this language, or that, like english, word order is occasionally variable (even tho that option seems iffy bc we haven’t really seen evidence of it before), but tbh i suspect that really it’s that the developers wrote the dialogue and then brute forced it into the anchorite language haha. no shade! (and also impossible to confirm either way lol) just kinda amusing and also it makes sense when it’s p obvious their focus shifted from the language to the story.
this trend continues throughout all of the anchorite dialogue (imo) and makes it kinda slow and awkward to read if you don’t have all of the characters translated. in my opinion, the way that the language functions in the last part of this game makes it pretty clear that the developers meant for you to rely on the given translations during this potion of the game, especially when the translation mechanic is mostly through the matching terminals in exile, rather than speaking with people.
annoyingly, the anchorites’ language is also the only one in the game that doesn’t have words for the other people/cultures in the game (demonyms), which also doesn’t give much to work off of in terms of cultural context, relationships, etc.
again, i’ve decided not to get into an in-depth orthographic analysis of this particular language bc the game itself introduces you to them. one that i noticed that wasn’t specifically addressed in-game is the similarity between “open” and “key”, which is something that i actually also noted before in the devotees’ language. i’m sure there are others, but i’m also sure you can find them yourself!
all in all, a strange ending to this game. if you’ve made it this far in all of my posts—thanks for hanging around! hope you were able to learn smth new :)

In the Korean language, there are words that are similar in meaning but have slightly differences in usage, and two of those words are "새로운" and "새" both meaning "new." (1) Firstly, "새" refers to something that is newly introduced or appearing for the first time. It is used to describe something that has not been present before. E.g. "새색시" refers to a new bride who has just appeared in a household "새 친구" refers to a new friend you have just made (2) On the other hand, "새로운" refers to something that already exists but has undergone significant changes or improvements, emphasizing noteworthy transformation. E.g. "새로운 관점" refers different perspective than before "새로운 느낌" refers different feeling than before 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬: - 새 얼굴 vs 새로운 얼굴 (new face) "(모임의) 새 얼굴" means a new member of the group, while "새로운 얼굴" refers to a face that looks different from usual, such as with makeup or plastic surgery. - 새 셔츠 vs 새로운 셔츠 (new shirt) "새 셔츠 " means a new shirt from the store, while "새로운 셔츠" refers to a shirt that has been reformed to look like a different shirt. 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: - If there is a revolutionary change, then "새" is more appropriate. This type of transformation is not regional or insignificant; it is a fundamental and revolutionary change. E.g. the phrase "새 사람" can refer to a person who has undergone a significant change or a rebirth. - Additionally, "새" cannot be used as a predicate, while "새로운" in the form "새롭다" can function as a predicate. E.g. 이 책은 언제 읽어도 새롭다 (This book is always new to me.) - When referring to a new season, such as the new spring or fall, "새 봄" and "새 가을" are used, not "새로운 봄" or "새로운 가을", because it is a new season different from the previous years. In conclusion, "새" (sae) means something new that has appeared for the first time, while "새로운" (saeroun) means something that has already appeared, but has become better or different, in other words, it implies a noticeable change. #KoreanVocabulary #LearnKorean #한국어공부 #Studywithme

Happy 9 3/4 Day!!!
I can’t believe I’ve been a MOA for four years now!
I remember writing, a few years ago, after FIGHT OR ESCAPE was released, about how I felt TXT were in the best position in the industry - they have longevity, creativity, a great concept, and a balanced lineup. And then, they went on something like an 11 month hiatus.
I then wrote that I felt they were no longer in the best position in the industry.
And while I don’t think they’ve risen again to being in the best position, the past few years have DEFEINITELY made them rise up again. They’re getting back into the intricacies of their concept, they’re getting wins, they’re popular internationally, they have English collabs and songs, and they still have 3-4 years left in their career before the military. It’s been a combined effort of the company, members, and fans which has brought them up again, which is great. (That said, it’s interesting that they’ve had several dips in fans/interest - after Crown, after Loser Lover, after GBGB - an interesting phenomenon to be researched further)
And to top that growth off, and mark a half decade of their existence, they close out the third chapter of their career with the announcement of Minisode 3: Tomorrow.
Tumblr media
This is all we have so far, but you know that I’ve analysed TXT’s logos before, and I think we can see concept from logos.
This one is doodly - a return to a schoolboy attitude or life - perhaps to the magic school, youth in general, or the magic island they rediscovered in school. The roses and angel wings are obviously romantic, but also have classical and religious connotations. They evoke religion, Romeo and Juliet-esque stories, and classics like Beauty and the Beast and The Little Prince, all of which have already influenced TXT’s storyline and concepts, to varying extents. We of course also have our mandatory stars.
The combination of roses and angel wings also reminds me of two of their comebacks, or, kind of 3. CROWN and Angel or Devil both had explicit angel imagery (Eternally also included this, and GBGB contrasted it). Meanwhile, GBGB used roses - and specifically, burning roses a lot to show how their love and life had died. It was also a stand in for cigarettes, often a symbol of degeneracy and lost hope in media, but obviously one that the Korean GP would be more receptive to.
So, a lot of potential meaning here. To summarise my predications; a romance concept, maybe forbidden romance. Religious concerns, and neither a dark nor light concept - think LOVESONG and Sugar Rush Ride rather than CYSM/GBGB or Blue Hour and Blue Orangeade.
The black version is my favourite - it looks nice and clean and has a good balance, I think. Hence why I used that version. Interestingly, black, red and orange are used, reinforcing my belief in a middle of the road concept - red is romance, black is a neutral, and has ALL THE MEANING but can also be dark, and orange is light, lacking specific commonly accepted meaning. Very balanced.

Expressing Wants & Hopes
원하다 | -고 싶다 | 았/었으면 좋겠다 | (기) 바라다
바라다 = to hope
(that something happens/occurs)
Usage:
When one hopes for an entire clause to occur (i.e. something ending in a verb or adjective) it is very common to attach ~기(를) to the predicating verb or adjective in the clause to turn it into a noun. It’s pronounced by Koreans more as “바래요” instead of “바라요”
Examples:
숙제가 많지 않기를 바라요.
 = I hope there isn’t a lot of homework.
지금 만날 여자가 예쁘기를 바라요.
= I hope the girl I am meeting now is pretty.
그가 나에게 돈을 많이 주기를 바라
= I hope he gives me a lot of money
(으)면 좋겠다 = hope, wish
Usage: = wish/ hope
> Express one’s desire, wish, or hope that has not been realized.
> I suggest looking at the whole thing as one and not trying to break it up into separate pieces.
> 았/었으면 좋겠다 and (으)면 좋겠다 can be used in the same sense, but 았/었으면 좋겠다 indicates a stronger degree of hope or desire that is opposite to the current situation and is more commonly used.
Examples:
차가 있었으면 좋겠어요.
I (really) wish I had a car. (I don't have a car now)
돈이 많았으면 좋겠어요.
I (really) wish I had a lot of money. (I don’t have money now)
30살 전에 결혼했으면 좋겠어요
I would like to get married before I am 30.
(전에 lesson)
노래를 잘했으면 좋겠어요.
I wish I could sing well.
주말에 비가 안 오면 좋겠어요.
I hope it doesn't rain in the weekend.
You also may see other words (usually 하다 or 바라다) used instead of 좋다.
Examples:
우리가 곧 만났으면 해
우리가 곧 만났으면 바래요
= I wish we could meet soon, it would be nice if we could meet soon
원하다 = want to have (noun)
Usage:
> The most basic usage is to express that you want to have something - a noun.
Form:
noun + ㄹ/을 원하다
을 | object particle
Examples:
친구들은 전부 피자를 원했어요.
All of his friends wanted pizza.
원하신다면 아침까지 계셔도 됩니다.
You may stay until morning if you wish.
모든 사람은 행복과 건강을 원한다.
All people desire happiness and health.
고 싶다 = want to do
Usage:
> Much more commonly used in speaking compared to 원하다. It can only be used to say that you want to DO something, nit that you want to have something.
> It’s used with verbs, instead of nouns like 원하다.
> If you want to say that “someone else wants to do” something then the form must change to 고 싶어하다.
Examples:
이번 생일에 받고 싶은 선물이 있으면 말해 봐.
Tell me if there's a gift you want to get for this birthday.
그는 오늘 학교에 가고 싶어하지 않습니다.
He doesn’t want to go to school today.
나는 영화가 보고 싶어서 혼자 영화관에 갔어.
I went to the movie theater alone because I wanted to watch a movie.

I try not to step a boundary when it comes to shipping Jikook. I've just silently observed them for years, raising eyebrows here & there. Still keeping my mouth shut on what I know nothing about. However, seeing that this is the biggest week in JK's solo career, combined with Silver Day, a holiday some koreans do celebrate. I'm just not surprised it's Jimin who was with him during all this. It really seems fitting given what we've seen for years from Jikook. Romantic or not, it just makes sense.
I think I’ve made my stance clear on Silver Day, but assuming there’s merit to it, of course it would make sense.
I can’t say if I’m surprised or not by it, to be honest. It’s surprising in the sense that Jimin has largely been MIA in association with the other members on a personal front, but this wouldn’t be the first time he’s substantially accompanied a member during their circuit either (i.e., Hoseok).
Note that I’m only talking about what we’ve seen/know; what they do when cameras aren’t filming aren’t events I really explore.
NY Jikook seems to be predicated on a professional project, but obviously I have no idea what that is and whether other members will also be visiting Jungkook throughout his mini tour. Other than having dinner together on the first night, it seems like they’ve been on the clock.
The only reason I see NY Jikook being considered a huge deal—other than the fact no one has seen them together in a long time—is this collective fixation on Silver Day. It’s not enough to get me aboard the hype train, though.
If we discover only Jimin is seen with Jungkook for the entirety of the tour in this type of excursion, even for professional reasons, it could give me pause.
What I’m unsure of is the filming location. To be fair, it’s not unusual for anyone in this kind of industry to visit these random locations to do work, even if they otherwise have no reason to be there. There are unexplored hidden gems in the U.S. worthy of attention. Connecticut is one of few states known for yacht charters, but so is NY.
I’m not suggesting anything by wondering about this, but logistically it seems a bit silly unless there’s something about CT that’s special or if no other charters were available in NY during their visit.

An Illuminati Theory
First phase: KPOP sector
Firstly, BTS
Tumblr media
GIF by love4hobi
The KPOP music business is renowned for its innovative songwriting and ideas. Today, I want to focus especially on the K-POP boy band BTS. They have a great deal of global recognition.
I think we can all agree that the boys from BTS work really hard. Three members of BTS are currently serving in the Korean military while I write my theory and study on the KPOP and the relation to Illuminati.
Before we begin, let me clarify that my intention is not to cause harm to anyone; rather, I am simply presenting my ideas and theories on the subject.
I beg you, BTS Army, to be calm.
First and foremost, the BTS rose to fame and recognition in the global music scene with the release of the song "Blood Sweat and Tears" in late 2016, which went on to sell over 1.5 million copies in South Korea and top the US World Digital Songs chart.
To learn more about the claims that BTS is a member of the Illuminati. There are specific images in the music video (mv) that we have to see.
Tumblr media
GIF by grumpykitten7
The opening scene features the member known only as JIN staring at a painting that portrays a situation akin to a conflict, while eerie music plays in the background.
Tumblr media
GIF by teamrv
Next, the member identified as SUGA covers both of JIMIN's eyes. Eye coverings and free masonry are frequently associated.
Tumblr media
GIF by silvercabarets
The JUNGKOOK flying through the air, representing the possessing object, is the next suspenseful scene.
Tumblr media
GIF by grumpykitten7
The member SUGA has a line there,
"All my blood sweat tears
and my body mind and soul
I know they're all yours"
One interpretation of the lines would be that they dealt with religious commitment or devotion, especially to a deity or higher power. "Body, mind, and soul" and "all yours" imply a profound sense of submission and surrender, which are recurring themes in a lot of religious traditions. Furthermore, it is possible to compare the idea of giving up blood, sweat, and tears for a cause or belief to religious sacrifices or penance.
Tumblr media
GIF by applejongho
The group then appears in a scene where they are ALL seated at a dinner table and acting tensely. If we look closely, the sky and background are completely red.
Tumblr media
GIF by agustdefined
Next up comes the scene of JIMIN and SUGA. They are holding the blindfolds in their hands.
Many secret societies and fraternal organizations use blindfolds as a common symbol. A prevalent conspiracy theory posits that the Illuminati employs blindfolds as a representation of concealment and power. This theory is commonly predicated on the notion that the Illuminati is an all-encompassing, covert group that supposedly controls media and global events. This theory holds that the organization's members are required to wear blindfolds in order to symbolize the idea of "veiled truth," which is regarded as a crucial component of the Illuminati's control over the general populace.
Tumblr media
GIF by grumpykitten7
Subsequently, a scene appears in which the JIN's face is covered in several hands, signifying the offering.
Tumblr media
GIF by kooluvrexe
Next is the scene in which member V attempts to commit suicide by jumping off the balcony.
This has to do with JUDAS in the Bible.
One of Jesus' twelve apostles, Judas Iscariot, betrayed Him by handing Him over to the religious leaders in exchange for thirty pieces of silver. Judas apparently regretted what he had done and attempted to return the money to the priests after Jesus was taken into custody, but he was turned down. He hanged himself, overcome with shame and guilt. Judas threw the thirty pieces of silver back into the temple and then hanged himself, according to Matthew's Gospel (27:5). According to Acts 1:18, Judas collapsed headfirst, broke open in the middle, and his entire intestines came out.
Tumblr media
GIF by grumpykitten7
Next, we see JIN, the member, kissing a fallen angel.
In Christianity would view it as extremely improper and contrary to its teachings for someone to kiss or worship a fallen angel. This is due to the belief that fallen angels are spiritual creatures that have rebelled against God and are thus a symbol of corruption, evil, and temptation. Christians are urged to avoid any deeds or behaviors that could divert them from a life of piety and devotion and to seek salvation and redemption via faith in God. This essential idea would be in conflict with any act of veneration, such as kissing a fallen angel.
In Judaism, the concept of kissing or worshiping a fallen angel would also be considered inappropriate and against the teachings of the faith. Judaism teaches that fallen angels are spiritual beings who have rebelled against God and are therefore seen as evil and corrupt. Judaism emphasizes the worship of the one true God and discourages any form of idolatry or veneration of other beings. Kissing a fallen angel or any other act of worship towards them would be considered as a violation of the first and most important commandment of the Jewish faith: "You shall have no other gods before me." (Exodus 20:3).
In both Judaism and Jewishness, the concept of worshiping a fallen angel would be considered inappropriate and against the core values and beliefs of the Jewish faith and tradition. Fallen angels are seen as beings who have rebelled against God and represent evil and temptation, and therefore, Jews would avoid any acts or behaviors that may lead them away from a life of righteousness and devotion to God.
These, in my opinion, are sufficient indicators for someone to recognize that BTS is a member of the Illuminati group.
I appreciate you reading my theory, and it takes time. I hope it sparked some interest and gave you pause for thought. Please think about returning to read more of my writing in the future if you liked this post. I appreciate your support so much and can't wait to share more of my thoughts with you. Again, thank you!

Miwon Kown on Do-Ho Suh
The ascendance of an artist like Do-Ho Suh in the international art scene is not only predicated on the high quality of workmanship, cleverness of ideas, strength and clarity of formal decision, and sophistication of talent. It is also linked to the fact that in the contemporary art world today, a culturally displaced person of adequate means who can navigate a bigger map of the world than those bound to one location, culture, or identity is treated as a representative if not privileged person, able to speak to, speak of, and speak as a retooled nomadic subject of globalization. Suh's recurring trips to Korea, motivated in large measure by the necessities of his production (labour is cheaper there), also mirrors the ongoing uneven distribution of labour, resources, and power in late capitalism. Thus, the attraction that Suh's work draws from a globalized art network of curators, dealers, collectors, and critics lies in the symbiotic fashioning of both the work and the artist within the logic of a new order of mobilized identities. Do-Ho Suh's art eulogizes the older paradigms of subjectivity, identity and space while announcing new versions of them as unlocated conditions of transience.
Selected excerpt from The Other Otherness: The Art of Do Ho Suh by Miwon Kwon (2002)
Tumblr media
As I continue to pour over writings on Do-Ho Suh, I have found that no one articulates him better than Miwon Kwon, whose 2002 essay for Suh's show at the Serpentine Gallery, still holds today, over two decades later.
Kwon links Suh's contemporary practice to Minimalism and installation art, primarily in a Western context***. The artist did shift into a sculptural and installation practice after receiving further education in the US. This is always mentioned whenever Suh needs an introduction, because it immediately frames him as a transnational artist, and points to the cultural displacement he experienced, which largely motivates his thematic interests on memory and transience.
Kwon has written extensively about site-specific art and has identified the problematic nomadism artists have adapted, which the art scene greatly rewards. Everyone needs to be jet-setting anywhere and everywhere in order to become a high profile artist. This hurts site specificity, because you can't just parachute onto a site and create watered down artworks in such brief periods. Kwon points out that the peripatetic Suh benefits from this system, but not without merit. She praises Suh's ability to create installations that don't have to be bound to their sites, rather, they are meant to leave.
This made me cuss a lot... when will I find my own succinct intersection
She furthers that Suh's otherness as a Korean implant in the West has (quite ironically) managed to transcend in that it has somehow become universal. She cites his work Seoul Home, which is so specifically Korean but manages to tug at the heartstrings of so many. Displacement, transience, and longing for home (whatever the hell that is) are universal experiences. This is why his installations can occupy various spaces and still be powerful and resonant. While he states that he is selfish in that he primarily makes his works to satisfy himself, he still manages to transform the personal into public. This is what I am trying to resolve in my own practice. How do I go beyond my lived experience? It takes so much sensitivity, skill and nuance to properly contextualise and effectively communicate. I am waiting for my abilities to catch up.
Tumblr media
Seoul Home/LA Home installed at the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles. 1999. This is one of Suh's earliest fabric architecture works, which catapulted him into the international art scene.
***I am wondering if there are better references to link to Suh, something closer to an East Asian context.
