I want to see them interact,,, 😭
*headcanon that Lagus’ vine/tentacle skill thingy is actually something that he developed back when he was a new parent to make things more convenient and sometime later he realizes that he can enhance it into a battle skill lol.

Shadows of Possibility - Fanfic Trailer
A test for a possible fanfiction that gives us a highly detailed alternate ending to Noblesse, featuring some scenes.
This... is literally a fanfiction trailer, I guess. I am testing the waters with this, trying to see whether people would actually be interested in something like that, since... this would be a big chungus. Giving everyone closure and character development with a whole alternative ending? What I plan would probably be a fanfiction of a real TON of chapters, so... I would hate to start without knowing if anyone would read this, haha.
Anyway... some things you all could look forward to under the cut?
„Unbelievable, isn't it? I stand corrected. I always thought if the werewolves are going to pull a shit move on us, they will do it altogether.“
The First Elder tended to speak faster when he was angry – and though he was trying to deflect it with humor, Third could tell that the recent turn of events was giving him more than just a bit of a headache. Something he was inclined to agree with. For how long had they been watching the werewolves closely, waiting for an opportunity? That opening seemed less likely than ever, now. If the nobles invaded the territory of the werewolves and if the Second Elder weeded out the traitors among his own warrior... Third sat up slowly. Before he could get up, First returned to the bed and joined him with an ungraceful flop and a huff of frustration.
“You know, I always thought... if anyone is going to betray us, it'll be Maduke. The Fifth Elder...” “.... she never really seemed to care,” Third agreed with a slow nod. How strange was it, now, to hear that she has been convicted of treason in the most recent incident involving the nobles of Lukedonia? Just months ago, she had fought them by his side...
The Third's train of thought was disrupted by First's hand running over his bare chest.
“Fuck the werewolves and the nobles,” the blond man said. “Our hour will come, sooner or later. We have waited for so long, we can wait for a bit longer.”
Third hummed, absent-minded. Even though he agreed to ease his lover's mind... Deep down, he felt as though this was just the beginning.
Deprived of sunlight, Frankenstein could no longer tell how much time had passed since the battle, a bloody haze of madness and violence. Emptily, he stared into the magic flame that would keep him company until he, too, died. Like everything else that has been trapped in this dungeon. Dark Spear was gone, where his lover was supposed to cradle his soul with black claws, a gaping pit had formed. He was gone as well. Only a single thought remained on Frankenstein's mind: failure. In failing to defeat his enemies, he'd let them reach his Master... how many had died that day, at the hands of the werewolves? What kind of horrors must the survivors have endured?
This thought gave birth to a spark that set the frayed edges of his soul on fire. There was no point in slamming his fists against the heavy stone that sealed him in Lagus Tradio's laboratory that meant to become his cold tomb.
Breaking furniture, tearing rugs, crumpling pages, he crafted himself a makeshift torch. Humans are tenacious like that – before he would die in this forsaken place, he would have vengeance. Before he stayed here to rot, he would find a way... and if he could not live in peace by the side of his Master, then he would rather die covered in the blood of his enemies.
Taking a deep breath, Frankenstein set fire to the makeshift torch and headed towards the passage that would lead him deeper into the mountain. If there was a way out, he would find it.
The manor felt emptier than ever before. Memories clung to each corner of these walls. This... this must be what torture felt like. Torn between the paralyzing inability to do something and the restless need to stay on the move... How could Raizel sit still when Frankenstein was gone and the Lord in the hands of the enemy? His heart ached at the thought of the Principal's Office, empty, deserted, deserted as the Lord's throne.
A gentle touch upon his shoulder. Raizel did not need to turn his head to know that Garda had joined him. Quiet, silence, such as she always has been.
“I am sorry,” she said softly and he said nothing. The loss they had suffered that day... could not be put into words. The ultimate sacrifice... He should have been the one to do it. This was the burden of the Noblesse: to give his life for the nobles. Instead, others had carried the weight of his duty for him, that day. He swallowed hand and, after a moment, placed his hand over Garda's. There was no need for words- he knew she blamed herself as much as he did.
“We will free your Lord, we will avenge the ones we love... and we will end the reign of terror of the monster who calls himself Lord,” Garda said softly. A slight tremble to her voice betrayed her wavering determination. Slowly, Raizel nodded. “If this will be what takes my life... then so be it,” he said softly, turning his gaze to the sky outside. “... If this will be what takes my life... then so be it. Let vengeance be the last thing I do,” Garda confirmed softly.
They had nothing left but each other and their grief.
“I cannot believe you get to spread the juicy gossip.” Dr. Aris' voice was sweet as ever, yet at the same time, the cadence of her words felt different. Not as grating anymore. She had changed. Or maybe Yuri was the one who'd changed, and he just did not acknowledge it yet. Either way... He cast a glance at her. The way her eyes had lit up at the news... Yuri could not deny that he himself could hardly wait to try his new powers.
With a chuckle, he pushed up his glasses. “Well, remember, you're officially dead.” Aris rolled her eyes. Details, she'd say, but she bit back the comment. “... right,” she conceded with a huff. “... it's not like this won't be all over soon anyway.” “Right. Besides... You're the one getting to foil their plans. I'm jealous, you know. I wanted to test my powers for so long...” “Well, stand in line, Yuri.” Aris pouted. “Dr. Crombel wanted me to do the job, so I will do it. Besides... Tao and Takeo might be there.” Her pout turned into a sunny smile within seconds. “... and I would love to see them again. I am still very angry that they ran away from me, you know...” “... yes.. but Miss Seira would be there too, you see.” “Oh... don't worry.” Aris glanced at him and briefly ran her hand over his shoulder. “I will greet her from you before killing her.”
The cold metal of the handcuffs cut into M-21's wrists. The forest around them was calm – one could hardly imagine the battles that had taken place here just weeks ago. The mere thought of it made his stomach churn. Kentas... Frankenstein...
When he almost stumbled over a protruding root, Ignes' grip on his arm tightened and he steadied himself again. Step by step. He felt the watchful gaze of the warrior who accompanied them burning in his back. He remembered that face just too well. Ignes stopped all of a sudden and thus, he was forced to stop as well.
“Gayare?” “Yes, my Lady?” “I forgot my data folder at the castle laboratories. I need them. Go and fetch them for me.” M-21 tilted his head back to see the warrior grit his teeth in annoyance. “The Lord ordered me to accompany you at all times, Lady Ignes.” “And Your Lady needs her data,” she insisted with narrowed eyes. “Do you want me to tell the Lord you have stood in the way of my work by refusing to get me the data I need?” “I would never -” “Then go. I think I am perfectly capable of escorting a prisoner to the other laboratory by myself.” The werewolf warrior struggled for a few moments – and finally acquiesced. “I will bring your research folders to the other facility, my Lady.” “The blue one. Titled... Stable Fluid Decomposition in.... Limbal Aortas. Now off you go.”
The warrior turned around to head back for the castle while M-21 and Ignes continued their way. “There is no such folder, is there?” “Of course not.” She snorted and stopped. After a moment of thought, she let go of his arm. Her breath was shaky. “... Alright... This is about as close to the border as I can get you without arousing suspicion. Your best bet is to keep heading west, you should hit the shore eventually. Do you have everything?”
M-21 nodded and waited for Ignes to open the lock on his shackles. The scroll with the Lord's Orders and the USB-Stick both were on the interior pocket of the shirt she'd given him, reminding him of the price of his freedom.
“Hey... I just realized... I don't know your name.” “Not just you.” He stepped away and rubbed at his left wrist. “Remember your promise.” She looked... fearful. They both knew what was at stake with this scheme of theirs. “Remember. You must reach Lukedonia and contact the Union. Everyone and everything depends on you now.... so... good luck.”

My mental image of how that went down:
Humans: *See adorable noble child standing there, grabs child and walks away*
Gejutel: Parent! O.o
Gejutel’s parent: Let them do what they want, it’s good for them.
LMAO. Franken probably wishes Gejutel had been a bit more of a nosy busybody…or at least given Zarga parenting tips. It’s interesting to think about what nobles consider parenting skills if Gejutel considers Franken killing Urokai a practical life-lesson. You referenced mind-control being used by nobles to instruct children in Gejutel’s day in one of your fic, and I’m curious about if I could incorporate that into my fic. The ancient noble is older than Gejutel, so would it just be kind of surprised that nobles didn’t do that any more, or would it be like ‘Ooooo, shiny! look at how clever these squishy babies are!’? I imagine it would be very interested by all the languages humans have come up with.
Yes. Yes that is how it went down in my head.
Because nobles had no concept of what it might do to a child to think their parent put other people’s wishes above the (potential) welfare of the child, had no concept of the various problems that can come from separating parents and children... Like it didn’t occur to Ragar that Rael might end up a little messed up from his parent choosing to go into eternal sleep and abandon him. Gejutel got lucky.
In noble and human psych (and therefore cultures that are accommodating to said psychs), a major difference is mortal vs. immortal. Mortals have ‘you need to do things in order to survive’ while immortals are ‘don’t forget, you’re here forever,’ and therefore you have to live with having done bad things/having the negative impact on your life from having bad attitudes. To Gejutel, the negative consequences that come from Urokai continuing to behave that way over the long term are such a bad thing that he’s pretty ‘why would you do that? Has Urokai already annoyed you that much, that you want him to suffer’ to intervening and possibly preventing Urokai from learning the lesson. While to a human observer, it’s the potential death that’s the bottom line there.
In my head, some of the nobles who absorbed human viewpoints a little too much ended up among the bad guys, like Lagus Tradio. Because there are some things that are basic common sense for humans/mortals/beings who need to eat or else that are crazy-making chaotic evil to a species with an entirely different, post-scarcity hierarchy of needs.
Lagus Tradio was going traveling in the human world even after the confinement on Lukedonia, and was prettymuch above suspicion - no one thought he would use or abuse humans. In my head, he ended up the way he did per canon because he acculturated/started thinking like us too much, while Gejutel might like humans and have a fairly good idea of how we roll, but his value judgments are entirely based on traditional noble thought.
This is like number six on my list of reasons for separating the species: nobles needed to develop/get practice with a noble-centric culture incorporating human developments like language instead of human thought modes ending up dominant in the shared culture bc humans were the ones developing the majority of the memes.
It’s been pointed out that Frankenstein acts more like a noble than a human in some ways, and yes: most of those ways have to do with how someone would need to act to be a good person as a post-scarcity immortal - the stuff where it’s not about species, it’s about culture as toolkit for navigating different sorts of environments.
Most of the rhetoric given by the traitors for why humans are competition/’the enemy’ makes sense from a human viewpoint but is absolute gibberish from a traditional noble viewpoint. Nobles thinking like humans isn’t a good thing because it’s how people who don’t need to eat start thinking like the species are hunter-gatherer tribes in direct competition for resources when that has nothing to do with the current situation (and a lot of humans could stand to be hit over the head with that).
The problem is that if nobles are learning how to think like humans, then how do they learn when NOT to think like us?
...*coughs* Getting back on topic, the language explosion might come as a surprise - the removal of nobles may have been a Tower of Babel situation because humans were no longer able to easily learn other people’s languages and clear up/avoid misunderstandings caused by different meanings.

did u know...Lagus is a sexy momma
I am aware that he has fathered Claudia Tradio. His behavior and crimes against both Lukedonia and humanity, however, make him more repulsive than "sexy."

Noblesse Chapter 401
"Raizel. Do you not regret what happened? The family leaders who betrayed us...were once your most loyal followers. They were the ones by your side when you were on your own for so long."
". . . Regrets...are an extravagant emotion to me."

Blood Moon AU!! Part 2 - More werewolves
Second part (continued) of my second major AU, Blood Moon AU. The nobles and werewolves basically have a race swap in an almost brand new setting.
For more info, check out my first two posts where I explained the general lore and setting of this AU (highly recommended for a better understanding):
The characters.
Ladybug: Father of Cloudy, whom he had with an unnamed werewolf woman. Many people mistake Ladybug for a dangerous, evil person due to his creepy appearance, but he’s actually a pretty nice dude. The sockets of his eyes are just very deep and people can’t seem to catch a glimpse of his irises no matter how hard they look, hence the assumption that he’s about to suck every passerby’s soul and transfer them to himself to extend his lifespan. Doesn’t help that he’s always smiling. It almost looks like he’s sneering. Ladybug doesn’t mind. He’s too old for this shit. He’d just chuckle and go along with it. He’d strike a menacing pose and bare his fangs, and they’d all run away screaming. Haha, that was fun. Felt great, might do it again.
No one knows how old Ladybug is. It seems like he’s been around since forever ago. The werewolves even call him a living fossil. He takes it as a compliment because it means he’s wise and timeless. Ladybug would be minding his own business and he’d happen to eavesdrop on some werewolves talking about an old story, and he’d spook them by appearing from behind a bush and saying “Oh? Didn’t know the things I did in my youth are being told as Mother Moon’s tales now. Care to recite from the beginning for this old man?” Once again they run away in terror. Oh, poo. Tsk tsk, young pups these days are so sensitive and can’t stand humor at all. At least his daughter understands him and fully embraces his weirdness.
Ladybug lives with his daughter Cloudy, whom he had as an old man. Cloudy’s mother is alive and well; she just doesn’t live with them. Ladybug raised Cloudy for the most part, who is very attached to him. As a retired warrior, Ladybug does farming as a hobby and grows a variety of delicious crops because Cloudy doesn’t eat meat. He breeds special types of vegetables, fruits, and grains for her to enjoy. Currently, his goal is to create the perfect crunchy, tangy sweet berry because his daughter likes those very much. He can’t wait to bake a delicious pie for her with these ingredients and see her smile.
Ladybug’s favorite color is green because his daughter’s eyes are green. It’s also the hair color of his daughter’s mother, who was his lover.
Ladybug is not your typical werewolf warrior. He is also a master of magic, and you can always count on him to know the specific spell to your specific issue if you need help from him. He can both harm and help you, if he chooses to. There’s probably even a proverb that says “if you get fleas up your buttcrack on a full moon night, Ladybug will hunt you down and cook you in a stew” or something. Yikes. Probably made up anyway. Eh, still giving it some credit because it’s a good way to scare the kids and get them to quiet down and go to bed without making a fuss. Lord Peach’s adopted daughter Rosemary is a student and fan of Ladybug. She calls him “Teacher Buggy”. He is extra nice to her because she is part of Cloudy’s core friend group and his daughter always talks about how nice “Rosie” is. Usually, he would reject those who come to him asking for magic lessons, but he gives private lessons to Rosemary. Dang, she must’ve bribed him, lol. Thanks to Rosemary, Ladybug has learned about a certain noble streamer named Zivon Tradio aka “GlitterDream KittyPaws”, who is also a magician. Ladybug isn’t his fan, but he sometimes watches his streams just to criticize his spells. Rosemary thinks it’s hilarious.
Ladybug has no other living relatives aside from his daughter.
Grub: Son of unnamed werewolves. Unlike Ladybug, who just seems creepy but really isn’t, Grub is creepy to the core. It’s just him being… him. 100% original Grub guaranteed. He’s either lying still with his face planted to the ground and mumbling to himself, which can last for hours, or he’s hyper and jumping from tree to tree and finally off a cliff. Once he even tried to dive into an active volcano. There’s rarely any in betweens. It’s okay if he gets hurt, he’ll heal up in no time. It even feels good to get hurt. Fractures, burns, external and internal bleeding, almost-decapitation… he has a new to-do list everyday. He’ll even feel itchy on the inside if he doesn’t let himself bleed every now and then. That’s what the werewolves’ superior healing is for, and he’s totally abusing this ability. He would just shrug it off when people point out to him that he’s basically addicted to self-harm. It’s just called having fun! He would then cackle and squeal and bark back and forth on a crescendo and decrescendo like a total maniac. The werewolves would just assume that he’s under Ladybug’s curse or something, because he clearly isn’t in his right mind. Oh well, it’s not like they have to be friends with him. And who knows if it’s contagious or not, so better leave quickly to be safe than sorry.
Grub’s current self has something to do with his childhood. He was born into a big family, as his parents had many children back to back, litter after litter. He’s just one of the dozens of children. Grub is a quintuplet and the runt of his litter. Initially, his parents wanted to abandon him, as it would’ve been a waste to feed him since he would just die anyway. But little Grub cried and squeaked and howled for milk, as if he didn’t know what giving up was. Then his parents changed their mind. Perhaps they ended up giving him a chance because they were entertained. Sure, they’ll be generous this one time and see how things turn out. If he dies, they’ll just eat him. They even named him Grub out of spite; crawling on the floor on his hands and knees and struggling for life just like a grub. Befitting of such a weak, unimpressive pup.
Grub was strong. He was resilient despite his circumstances. He managed to survive, but his growth is permanently stunted to this day. His childhood was less than ideal. When it was meal time, his parents left little to no prey for him, and he could only watch his brothers and sisters wolf down their dinner because he was too small and weak to even fight for the scraps. He filled his belly by gnawing on bones and whatever had been left over after his family had their share. He learned to break bones and suck on the marrow. Sometimes he’d crush and eat the bones too when he got desperate. Other than that, he’d stuff himself with dried grass, snow, and even dirt in order to stave off hunger. This is why Grub is short and small even in adulthood. Sure, he’s lean and compact, as he’s been eating well ever since he left his hell of a family and taught himself how to hunt, but his height is stuck at where it is now. He’s just a smidge taller than what would be considered a short werewolf woman. Perhaps the lack of nourishment during his vital childhood days had also done something to his brain. Either that, or he was born creepy. Or both. The werewolves are scared of him, but they also pity him. He didn’t choose to become like this anyway. Grub taking extreme measures to hurt himself is probably just his way of coping.
Grub is a warrior, but he isn’t allowed to spar without having many other warriors chaperoning the battleground because Grub doesn’t spar to train. He fights to kill. He disrespects the protocol and has no sense of honor, and won’t stop even when his sparring partner has yielded. There was a time when the warriors had to collectively restrain Grub and pry his fangs off the neck of his sparring partner whom he had defeated in a duel, because he just wouldn’t let go. He wanted to draw blood. More blood. Even more blood. To him, he’s not done until he crushes his opponent’s throat. To this day, the incident’s witnesses haven’t forgotten about all the bleeding and crying and the gruesome screams that had echoed throughout the mountains. Grub’s victim had retired from fighting ever since and went into hiding. And Grub? He never apologized.
Grub doesn’t really have any hobbies other than thrill seeking and self-harming. Maybe he just hasn’t discovered anything yet. Well, he should apply for a job as a communal alarm clock because you can always bet that he’d be screaming and howling by 4:00 am sharp. Even Mother Moon needs her beauty sleep. Grub disagrees.
Grub doesn’t have a crush on anyone as of now. Some werewolves doubt his ability to even recognize members of his pack as his own kind. Can he even see them that way? Hard to say. Grub isn’t dumb in the slightest, he’s just crazy... good for him, then.
Thank you for reading and stay tuned for future posts!

Father-daughter bonding time!!! Let’s go shopping!!! 🛍✨✨
I guess you can consider this as an AU-ish thing/just a random scenario where the bad guys don’t murder anyone so they’re all just chilling lol. Shopping malls are the best~ what did the kids pick?
I love all the canon parent-child characters and I’ve always wanted to fit them into one massive drawing so here it is!
Enjoy!

Goodbye Lukedonia, hello freedom!! Woohoo!!
Lmao everyone is just vibing to the beat while the lyrics themselves are probably screaming bloody murder and arson and other crimes. Good stuff. So inspirational. Gotta love their taste in music.

Genderbending time!!! I drew Lagus, Edian, and Gradeus!!!
Now that (most) of the current nobles have been drawn, I’m moving onto the traitors nobles!! Woo!! Though I have yet to decide whether I’m going to go through all of them. Most likely only some of them, but I’ll see how it goes.
Grandma’s party is ready to wreak havoc at home.
Grandma Lagus. Cunning Grandma. Scheming Grandma. Manipulative Grandma. Evil Grandma. Grandma with a cane. Sketchy candy Grandma. Bloodstone handouts Grandma. Just Grandma. Bad Grandma. Unlike the rest of the traitors nobles who had other motives for betraying Lukedonia, Grandma Lagus’ real purpose is to take over Lukedonia and make it hers. Upon returning to Lukedonia, she pays her son Claudia a visit, then brings him along to “greet” her old friend Grandma Gejutel. Still gets a hulk transformation after using the Bloodstone. ps She’s an interesting one. I ended up giving genderbent Lagus hair because I had no idea how to approach this otherwise. I did change the facial proportions a bit so it actually looks like some grandma instead of just Lagus in a wig lol.
Edian is a cool dude. I decided to pretty much keep the original appearance lol. Raizel’s older sister used Edian’s devotion to Raizel and tricked him into giving her the bloodstone. He believed that it would free Raizel from her burdens of being the Noblesse. Locked himself up in his mansion for eons after witnessing the devastating consequences. Still feels a tremendous amount of guilt. Was drugged and turned into a puppet by Lagus, though ultimately his love for Raizel prevailed and he was able to save her from Lagus’ attack. A man with a tragic story.
Gradeus is cool too. Had a lot of fun designing her. I gave her longer hair and some funny pants. She’s still short like the original, lol. Gradeus resented the way she was forced to live. Never even getting to use her powers however she wanted? Then being expected to enter eternal sleep with the Previous Lord… just like that? Pah! Bye bye Lukedonia. Has an interesting soul weapon with a second form and is known as the Berserker who becomes stronger after she bleeds. Still gets red hulk transformation after using knockoff Bloodstone.
Zarga and Urokai coming up next!

Millennium AU!
Hi everyone!!! After three years I finally updated+upgraded my Millennium AU lineup! Now I have a total of 15 ocs for this AU instead of the previous 10! This is probably my magnum opus as a noblesse fanart/fan-content creator lol.
For context, this is an alternate universe where Razark is alive, it’s 1000+ years in the future, and everyone has kids.
Important note: this is not a happy AU. There are happy moments, but with the general settings of characters and their relationships with one another, and the way Lukedonia is defined by Lord Raskreia… not very optimistic. It’s angsty. I’ll explain more as this post goes, and you’ll see why.
On how nobles have kids in my headcanon: nobles reproduce asexually. To be precise, children are born from soul fragments. Soul fragments can be extracted at the cost of some of the parent’s own lifespan. Two soul fragments create a new soul, aka the child. Because how this entire process has lifespan shortening qualities, children are usually proof of true love or repaying a major favor/debt to someone. It’s a huge deal for nobles, so it is never taken lightly. If a clan’s last clan leader/pureblood dies without an heir, a new heir/child/soul is born from the mystic energy that the air/ground of Lukedonia emits. Kind of like a thin-air baby appearing out of nowhere.
How to read this lineup:
White text: character name
Blue text: parents’ names, if any.
Ring + heart: parents are in love & married.
Heart: parents are in love & not married.
Green diamond: parents are not in love. Soul fragment donation as debt repayment. Children do not carry their donor’s surname.
Eldest to the left, youngest to the right.
Now introducing the characters!
Alois Elenor: Male. First child of Ludis Mergas and Rozaria Elenor. Name means “famous warrior”. An introvert. Nicknames: Al, the hair guy, magic boy. Relationship with family: Ludis (father, good), Rozaria (mother, good), Susanna (sister, good)
Alois is the first born of the entire nextgen cast. He is very very shy, and almost never talks, and if he does it’s when he thinks it’s necessary. He doesn’t like eye contact with virtually anyone who isn’t family, so he usually has his eyes and face covered with his bright red hair. If you try to brush his hair aside to see his eyes, he WILL freak out and turn you into a frog. That’s reserved for his family and his crush, sorry. He’s usually calm, but has an anxious side to him that shows when he feels stressed out. He’s also quite sensitive, but people usually have no idea about what he’s thinking since he doesn’t talk, and they can’t see his face. His younger sister Susanna can always tell, though. She reads him like a book. Alois is a very big family-oriented guy and will do anything to make his family happy. The four of them have an extremely close relationship, and make a happy family unit. Though Alois being the only introvert in his family means that sometimes he gets overwhelmed by their excess energy. He may not show it in the way his family does, but he’s very very happy to receive their love. Dotes on his younger sister Susanna. Has a major crush on Luzia Tradio. Super big fan of Kei Ru, idolizes him.
Luzia Tradio: Female. First child of Kei Ru and Claudia Tradio. Name means “light of the day”. An introvert. Nicknames: Lucy, Cici, witch queen. Relationship with family: Kei (father, not very good), Claudia (mother, good), Jia (sister, bad)
Luzia Tradio is never seen to smile, and she always wears a frown on her face. She is a bit grumpy and standoffish. If you look at her with the wrong expression she might give you the death stare… or so it seems. You see, she has a history of casting curses on people and making them vomit maggots for hours, but hey it’s for a good reason. They annoy her too much. Just don’t get too close to her, or ask too many questions. She has inherited her grandfather Lagus’ talent, and is the most powerful in the entire nextgen cast. But what most people don’t know is that she is trying to recover Lagus’ legacy… specifically his research, creations, and abilities. Due to the Lagus’ traitor history, doing so has been banned by none other than Lord Raskreia. And even if it weren’t banned, Luzia trying to chase after Lagus’ research would make mommy dearest drop dead in anxiety. Luzia won’t actually try to take over Lukedonia; in fact she’s not interested in any of it. She just genuinely enjoys doing the same creepy/shady/illegal stuff gramps did. So she has an underground lab where she pursues Lagus’ legacy and conducts her… err, research. Just evil edgy witch stuff. No one needs to know. Hah. She has a great relationship with her mother Claudia and swears to protect her. She can’t stand her father Kei and sister Jia for… complicated reasons, so she avoids them and shuts them out. They try to reach out to her, though their attempts almost always fail. May or may not like Alois back… welp, she’s in denial. Likes candy.
Aretis Verja Di Reiner: Male. Only child of Razark and Erga Kenesis Di Raskreia. Name means “the deciding warrior that defends virtue”. An extrovert. Nicknames: N/A. Relationship with family: Razark (father, good), Raskreia (mother, very very bad)
Reiner is Raskreia’s heir and the next lord. Reiner’ story is a complex one. He is naturally very charismatic and shines in his own way, but that gets affected by his upbringing and now he’s just majorly depressed and too tired to care about anything. You see, his mother Raskreia isn’t the best at expressing her emotions as she is naturally stoic.. and has her sense of pride, even when it comes to loving her son. She believes her duties as Lord comes before anything else, even if it’s her family. So, she makes it to clear to young Reiner that he is her heir and subject before he is her son. Welp, that’s certainly very…reassuring to hear from your mom-lord. So even when Raskreia and Razark love each other very much, Reiner was raised almost entirely by his father Razark, whom he shares a good relationship with. Reiner has a very strong sense of justice and seeing how Raskreia’s ways are stubborn, archaic, even borderline tyrannical and how she is headed towards failing Lukedonia, he protests againsts her ways and seeks to abolish their system altogether in favor of a democracy. Reiner fails and proceeds to leave Lukedonia out of anger and helplessness and decides to never become Lord, though he had already made this decision long ago when he cracked under pressure to become the perfect prince. Raskreia sees his act as a rebellion, and deems him a traitor. Uh oh, his own mom-lord might be after his head. Time to run. He’d probably be way happier to stay away from all the trouble at home and work as a cashier in the human world. Sigh. Give him a pat on the shoulder and tell him good work. Too depressed to like anyone.
Jia Ru: Female. Second child of Kei Ru and Claudia Tradio. Name means “auspicious”. An extrovert. Nicknames: little tigress, bedrock annihilator, them muscles. Relationship with family: Kei (father, good), Claudia (mother, good), Luzia (sister, neutral)
Jia is an excellent martial artist, just like her father Kei, whom she absolutely adores. She enjoys sparring with others, often running out of people to challenge just because she does it so often and they’re all tired and want to rest. What do you mean you wanna rest, it’s only been the 8th spar of the day! Ugh, y’all don’t exercise enough. She has sharp canines that show in a toothy grin when she’s happy. She is on good terms with most of her peers though sometimes she may or may not offend others with her bluntless. She doesn’t mean any harm, she just doesn’t really have a filter and says whatever’s on her mind…even around their Lord. Whoops. Luckily Raskreia wasn’t too pissed. Be careful next time. She does get extremely shy around Alois though, whom she has a huge crush on. Her hair accessories (set of golden hoops) are gifts from her mother Claudia. Claudia wears the other pair. Kei isn’t the best with expressing love and he mostly only gives combat-related compliments that roughly translate into “I love you”. He does call his daughter “little tigress” when they are alone; it’s a nickname he gave to her as a child. Jia knows Kei loves her, and he knows she loves him, and they’re happy. She doesn’t like sweet food, and loves meat.
Susanna Mergas: Female. Second child of Ludis Mergas and Rozaria Elenor. Name means “to be joyful/graceful lily”. An ultra extrovert. Nicknames: Susa, teacup, cupcake. Relationship with family: Ludis (father, good), Rozaria (mother, good), Alois (brother, good)
Susanna might be the shortest and tiniest of the bunch, but she is jam-packed with raw energy. Fun energy. Chaotic energy. Loud energy. Just pure energy. She’s the ultimate definition of a social butterly. As long as something moves, she’ll want to befriend it. Hey you! You can be her 278th best friend! Seriously. She’ll love it and so will you. What do you mean you can live for tens of thousands of years and still haven’t memorized everyone’s names? That’s impossible! Lol. She loves hanging out with people and finding fun things to do. Tea parties is one of her absolute favorites, and she too has mastered the art of tea parties under the guidance and apprenticeship of her beloved daddy and the master of human traditions, Ludis. A day is never dull with her and her family. They just love partying. As loud and energetic as she is, she is actually quite good at picking up very very subtle cues of how other people are feeling, and will quiet down and approach you differently if you need it. Smothers her brother in affection, and loves being doted on by him. Arya’s girlfriend.
Kaelestis Blerster: Male. Only child of Karias Blerster and Rael Kertia. Name means “of the sky, heavenly”. An extraverted-introvert. Nicknames: Kaekae, dad, the no-fun guy. Relationship with family: Karias (father, good), Rael (donor, good) Raegyn & Arya (half-siblings, good)
Kaelestis is the most mature out of the bunch. Unlike his eccentric father Karias, he is very proper and does not engage in the former’s speech and actions. In fact, he’s probably closer to being the parent than the other way around. He often calls out Karias for his behavior and does not hesitate to reprimand his father for his inappropriateness. Karias just laughs, does a fake dramatic flop down the floor, whines to his son about how he’s just no fun at alllll. Kaelestis just shakes his head and sighs. Kaelestis actually got his nickname Kaekae from Karias because Karias gets okay’d by his son all the time. “Okay Clan Leader, time to act maturely like a proper noble”, etc. Even his friends call him “dad” as a joke. The only time he’s ever acted “improper” was when he called Raskreia “auntie”… but that’s because Karias lied to his son and told him daddy’s Lord’s brother. And Kaekae believed it. Never again for those petty tricks. Kaelestis is also an excellent painter and architect, and is responsible for Lukedonia’s artistic projects. His personality may not be romantic, but his crafts certainly are. Just breathtakingly beautiful and you won’t see talent like this anywhere else. Likes Izar.
Raegyn Kertia: Male. First child of Regis K. Landegre and Rael Kertia. Name means “little king/impulsive”. An extrovert. Nicknames: Ray, the genius, mr. Celebrity. Relationship with family: Regis (father, good), Rael (father, good), Arya (sister, good), Kaelestis, Garyth & Alethea (half-siblings, good)
Raegyn is a surprisingly good diplomat, as he is the smartest of the entire nextgen cast. Though, he is seen as a good diplomat and loved by all not because he truly is that way. He is just very, very smart and knows how to get things… and people to be the way he wants. At his level manipulation is quite easy, though usually he doesn’t need to do so as his natural charm does the job for him. He’s already everyone’s favorite guy #1. He’s snarky and witty. Sometimes, he might come off as arrogant because he expects people to understand things without needing him to explain and gets frustrated when they don’t. He doesn’t show this side easily, but he’s secretly very apathetic and loves dark humor. By human standards sometimes you’d wanna call him lil’ shit. Damn, it’s just lonely to be at the top. He has a good relationship with his fathers, and Rael often comes to his son for advice. They have casual debates sometimes and Rael always loses. So proud of my son. He’s the smartest. Yaaaaa. Likes Umbra.
Arya K. Landegre: Female. Second child of Regis K. Landegre and Rael Kertia. Name means “noble/air song”. An extrovert. Nicknames: Ari, Yaya. Relationship with family: Regis (father, good), Rael (father, good), Raegyn (brother, good), Kaelestis, Garyth & Alethea (half siblings, good)
Arya is the opposite of everything elegant. She’s actually quite cringy, in a good way. She’s loud, fidgety, and cheerful. If you brought all these kids to a fast food restaurant, she’ll be the one throwing fries around like confetti and convincing everyone else to join in. If it weren’t for the black stripes in her hair, you would’ve never guessed that she’s a Landegre because she doesn’t act like one at all. Truth be told, part of it is a show. She is sad to see Lukedonia so somber, and tries to cheer up others by putting on an act, thinking she can try to get others to feel a bit happier, if she pretends to be happy too. But mostly it’s for making her clan leader and father Regis happy to know that she’s “happy”, now that he has a really shortened lifespan and they don’t have too much time together. A not-so-healthy coping mechanism for her soon-to-be grief. Someone get this girl an oscar and some therapy. Susanna’s girlfriend.
Garyth J. Loyard: Male. First child of Regis K. Landegre and Seira J. Loyard. Name means “honest/tender person”. An introvert. Nicknames: Gary, angel, starlight. Relationship with family: Regis (father, good ), Seira (mother, good), Alethea (sister, good), Raegyn & Arya (half siblings, it’s complicated)
Garyth is the most beautiful child in the entire nextgen cast. You’d take one look at his face, and you’ll want to throw chocolates and diamonds at him. He has super long eyelashes that seem to flutter like feathers in the wind. He also has an angelic voice, and is an excellent singer. You’d get distracted and walk face first into a pole if you happen to stumble upon him singing. He is also the great-grandchild that resembles Gejutel the most out of the four that exist, despite being the Loyard heir. His mannerisms are also very Landegre. He’s very obsessed with being elegant, and while he is very dignified, he can engage in playful banter just like how Regis does it. Susanna probably handed him a sharpie once and told him to “color his hair” since Gary is just so obsessed with the Landegre side of himself. Smooth one, Susa. Gary is super embarrassed. Garyth does have a lingering sadness inside once he learns of his mother Seira’s trauma and past. He loves her very much and will do anything for her. For that reason, he absolutely hates Rael’s guts for his history of stalking and harassing Seira. He loves Regis very much too but is confused why Regis forgave his former nemesis and even married him. He avoids his half siblings for the same reason, since they remind him of Rael. Confused Garyth harbors a deep resentment and sadness inside for not being able to help. His sister Alethea knows of it, but wonders why her brother never talks about it. Has a lil’ thing for Reiner.
Alethea J. Loyard: Female. Second child of Regis K. Landegre and Seira J. Loyard. Name means “truth”. An introvert. Nicknames: Thea, bunny. Relationship with family: Regis (father, good ), Seira (mother, good), Garyth (brother, good), Raegyn & Arya (half siblings, good)
Alethea resembles her mother Seira so much, she could very much be her. Seira’s little clone basically. If you put her side-by-side with her mother’s younger self, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between them. Seira nicknames her daughter “bunny”, and Alethea blushes when her mother calls her that. Alethea is quiet and reserved, though not entirely due to being an introvert. She suffers from low self esteem. Being Seira’s second child she won’t get a soul weapon nor will she become clan leader, and she is fine with that. Her low self esteem stems from her feeling extremely out of place in this world. Everything feels so foreign even though she’s experiencing everything in her own skin. She just never feels like she belongs here, and often zones out because of this. She suffers from a lack of purpose. She is just observing this world, and prefers to not partake in it. She is very empathetic though, and shares a close bond with her family. She doesn’t avoid her half siblings like her brother Garyth does. Prefers to hang out with great grandfather Gejutel, just the two of them, in his library. That’s where she feels the most at home. Nice safe space. Likes peace and quiet.
Bellona: Female. Gradeus’ clan’s heir. No parents, born from thin air. Name means “goddess of war”. An extrovert. Nicknames: Belle, Nana. Relationship with family: Gejutel (caretaker, good)
Bellona was born to be Gradeus clan’s heir. Gejutel names her in good will, hoping that she becomes a good leader, should she choose to use her powers in battle. Interestingly, Bellona channels her energy into dancing. She is a skilled fighter, though she prefers to let her energy out by dancing and her dance moves mimic those of battle. Intense and passionate. Fiery. A berserker of a different kind. She can feel it in her muscles, in her bones, in her soul. Dancing is her life. She’s that person who tells you working out will help with feeling sad. Often drags Reiner around and forces him to dance, much his annoyance and Raegyn’s amusement. C’mon, it’s gotta help! Just shake the tension off. Feel your feet on the ground, and forget the thoughts in your head. Good friends with Cordelia Kravei. Ps she sometimes summons Messad and swings it around as dancing prop, because hey it looks pretty damn cool. Likes Garyth.
Izar Siriana: Male. Siriana clan’s heir. No parents, born from thin air. Name means “star”. An extraverted-introvert. Nicknames: Izzy, bookworm. Relationship with family: Gejutel (caretaker, good)
To Gejutel, Zarga just… seemed bit lost. So in hopes that this his heir finds a passion in life and shines brightly, he names this boy Izar. Just as his name suggests, he develops a love for astronomy and the maths. Most nobles nowadays arent too concerned with being empirical aside from a few who also have an interest in these subject matters, but Izar takes it to another level. Having a passion that grounds him to the earth while he stares into the sky makes him happy. A neet. By human standards you’d be questioning how long he hasn’t showered. He’s not shy though, just prefers to live with his books. One day hopes to discover alternate universes and conquer the black hole, probably. At least he jokes so. Vomited maggots many times from Lucy’s curses from being too annoying and pestering her nonstop for a possible “research buddy”. Lucy doesn’t care for hot burning elemental cores or numbers. Leave her alone. Has a super smart pet ferret named Charles who acts like an assistant and helps him fetch his books and papers. Drinks coffee not because he needs it, but because it’s fashionable and trendy scientists do so. Right? That’s what you call them… scientists!! He even got himself some round glasses to complete his look. Sooo cool. Maybe he’ll ask Lucy for some of her eyeshadow to give himself dark eye circles. …You really wanna vomit maggots again? Likes Jia.
Asa Drosia: Male. Drosia clan’s heir. No parents, born from thin air. Name means “healer/morning”. An introverted-extrovert. Nicknames: N/A. Relationship with family: Gejutel (caretaker, good)
Edian had suffered from multiple unfortunate events prior to her death, so Gejutel names her heir Asa, hoping that he lives a peaceful, hopeful life. Asa is surprisingly good at talking and is quite diplomatic. Unlike Raegyn who only pretends to care and seems like nice guy thanks to his charm, Asa is genuinely nice. He is calm, and mentally and emotionally stable. He’s basically the local therapist kind of guy. He never judges anyone for their circumstances and is accepting of everyone. If you even just look at him in the eyes and see him smile, you’ll feel an uncontrollable urge to cry. Everyone (excluding funny Lord Rask) truly loves him and he’s glad to help. He’s pretty much the only dude in the entire cast not affected by depression. Just like how his SW is a pair of sharp rapiers, he’s good at pinpointing issues and digging them out from the source… though sometimes it hurts to bring out those old scars, even just to talk about them. Which is why Reiner even avoids him because. Cant hide anything from this guy. Ugh. Reiner’s pride. It’s okay, Asa won’t judge you. He has a collection of scented candles, and likes to do knitting in his free time. Likes Bellona.
Umbra Agvain: Female. Agvain clan’s heir. No parents, born from thin air. Name means “shadow/shade”. An introvert. Nicknames: Umbie, firecracker. Relationship with family: Gejutel (caretaker, good)
In contrast to Urokai’s character, Gejutel names her in hopes that she’d be calm and collected, with shadow in her name also meaning she’d protect the ones she loves…instead of the opposite. Unfortunately, she isn’t calm at all. Just like her predecessor, she is quite explosive, but for a different reason. She isn’t angry, nor is she jealous. She is frustrated. She feels and senses everything much stronger than everyone else. If she loves something, she loves it to death. If she hates something, she hates it to death. Everything comes so strongly, she only ever eats plain food, and uses her powers to suppress light and sound around her. Avoids people. It’s just too much for her. Cries and screams often when she is alone from the overwhelming sensations and feelings. Ironically, her hobby is cooking and makes great food. Stress cooks. Doesn’t eat any of it though. Susa’s more than happy to help herself to Umbra’s cooking. Likes Asa.
Cordelia Kravei: Female. Kravei clan’s heir. No parents, born from thin air. Name means “heart/jewel of the sea”. An introvert. Nicknames: Del, Lili, fish girl. Relationship with family: Gejutel (caretaker, good)
Cordelia is the last one to be born in the entire nextgen cast, which means she’s the youngest. Since Lukedonia is surrounded by the sea, Gejutel names her Cordelia in hopes that her heart and soul feels at home. Cordelia is a great illusionist and magician. Not magic in the sense of Elenor and Tradio, but as in tricks and visual effects. She spends a good amount of time by the sea and teaches herself to manipulate aura into various shapes and forms outside of battle usage. She can conjure beautiful illusions of both marine animals and mythical sea creatures, and often works with her best friend Bellona, giving a great show of illusions while Bellona dances. She’s good friends with Kaelestis, with Kaelestis often getting inspiration for his paintings from Cordelia. A pretty chill person in general. Likes Alethea.
Annd that’s it! For a little end note, yes Gejutel raises the last five. Why? Because of bad examples. The Previous Lord kept dumping stuff on Gejutel without explanation. Raskreia observes her father’s doings, and concludes that that’s the way to go when she doesn’t know how to approach something. Just hand it to Gejutel. So when the five thin air babies appear…. Yup, she just assigns Gejutel to them and yolos. Not my business. They’re the traitor clans’ new heirs, and back then Gejutel took good care of Claudia and her clan so he can manage five more right?? Right?? And as of now she doesn’t want to associate with them so… good luck Gejutel. Sorry. Ehh maybe not sorry. Anyways grandpa vomits blood and says goodbye to retirement. But he does follow her orders. Now he has 5 more kids to raise. Ugh. Btw Gejutel names all of them too cuz Rask being the negligent paranoid Lord she is, she doesn’t bother with it either. Gejutel raises them and has a good relationship with all five.

Noble OCs - Loyard
Making five OCs for every clan!
Adaliah Loyard: Pureblood. Alive in the present day, belongs to the Previous Lord’s generation.
Adaliah walks amongst humans. She is mysterious and lurks in the woods as a shadow, only to be seen in places where war has taken place. Adaliah believes that war is inevitable in a strong-eats-weak world and doesn’t interfere with the development of human history as one would simply observe a snake devour a bird in nature. Sad to witness, but neither is in the wrong. The strong shouldn’t be subdued for their power nor should the weak receive aid for being pushed back. That is Adaliah’s philosophy of life. However, she believes that people should be spared of pain when possible. She deals with the direct aftermath of war. Adaliah appears in battlefields after armies leave their gravely wounded behind. She silently walks over to them and communicates with them one by one through projecting her voice inside their heads and reading their minds. She makes herself invisible at all times except to the person she’s directly speaking with. First, she asks them if they still want to live and tells them she’ll save them if they say yes. If they agree, she treats their wounds. Then, she gives them a basket of food and a jug of water and moves onto the next person. If they say no, she uses her noble superpowers to numb their pain and induce them into a deep sleep with the sweetest dreams before sending them off to peace. Finally, she gives them a proper burial and wishes for their eternal freedom from Earth. Adaliah also offers something similar to the terminally ill. The journey of life may be painful, but the destination of death doesn’t have to be. Whether Adaliah does her acts of charity out of love or pity is a mystery. All that matters is she cares for humans. In some human cultures, there’s a myth about a barefooted and cloaked silver-haired goddess of mercy. There are no collective witnesses, yet there are many individual accounts of the same experience. Adaliah’s partner is an unnamed Pyradros.
Yuelin Loyard: Non-pureblood. Entered eternal sleep, belonged to Gejutel’s generation.
Yuelin was a close friend of Lagus. The young and curious Loyard boy met the Tradio Clan Leader when he accidentally stumbled into the off-limits herb garden and got trapped by aggressive plants that recognized him as an intruder. Lagus happened to be nearby and heard faint cries for help. He told his plants to let go of the boy and carried him indoors to treat him with antidotes because the plants had injected him with a poison. Yuelin woke up to Lagus chuckling at him and telling him that he was pretty close to becoming fertilizer. The young boy apologized profusely, bowed, and ran back home. Lagus didn’t think too much and carried on with his business. To his surprise, Yuelin returned the next day and waited outside the garden this time. Somehow, he took a liking to the eccentric Lagus and wanted to be closer to his savior. He was willing to help out as an assistant to repay the debt of a life saved. Curiously, Lagus did not tell the boy to go away and let him tag along. Yuelin spent most of his time with his diplomat parents and visited Lagus whenever he could. The two grew close and created happy memories together. Then tragedy happened. One day, young adult Yuelin was on a diplomatic mission with his parents and some other nobles, and they were ambushed. A werewolf clan that pretended to be friendly lured them into the outside world and slaughtered them. Yuelin survived because he was curious and ran off to explore his surroundings a few moments before bloodshed erupted. When he noticed the chaos, he hid in the bushes and stayed there until the massacre ended. He could only watch the horror with his hands over his mouth. The werewolves left when they thought they had gotten everyone and a very distraught and frightened Yuelin crawled back home alone.
Yuelin returned as a different person. It was as if he underwent a complete personality change. His cheerful and optimistic self had been replaced by a dark and maniacal one. He suddenly gained an obsession with the color red, especially glowing red lights. Perhaps that was his way of dealing with trauma. Turns out when his family and fellow nobles were getting slaughtered, he focused all of his attention on the red lights in the sky from the dead to distract himself from the other screams of agony. Yuelin became fixated on the red lights of dying nobles and that remained unchanged for a lifetime. He still helped Lagus as an assistant, but spent most of his time gathering information on nobles who were about to get executed just so he could be a witness and see more red lights. To him, the death of nobles painted the most grotesquely beautiful scenery and seeing them was the only way to temporarily quell his internal unrest. Yuelin had been living with the Tradio Clan Leader since his return from the disastrous diplomatic trip because he had no other place to call home after his family’s death. The two of them bonded even more after living together, and perhaps something developed between them. Time passed, the men aged, and their friendship flourished. At some point, Lagus embarked on his path to darkness which he kept a secret from his Loyard friend. Somehow, Yuelin knew. He offered himself to Lagus and told him that he wished to die because he had had enough, but wanted to make the last of himself useful. He requested Lagus to absorb him. He also asked Lagus to prolong the process as long as possible because he wanted to see one final show, the red lights his body emitted as it disintegrated. Lagus reluctantly agreed to help out his beloved friend. They exchanged farewells and Lagus initiated the process. Yuelin sighed of relief as he slowly faded away. His last words were “beautiful” and “at last” as he watched his own body disappear. Before Yuelin was euthanized, he may or may not have offered a soul fragment to Lagus for the creation of Claudia.
Dian Loyard: Non-pureblood. Alive in the present day, belongs to Raskreia’s generation.
Dian has an eerie atmosphere to him. He doesn’t talk much and people get the chills when they make eye contact with him. When he walks, it’s as if he’s floating around in his long robes because his incredibly small steps stabilize his balance to the extreme. Dian is the Watcher of the Candles. It’s not an official title or job of any sort. Rather, it’s a description the nobles came up for him to highlight his unusual interests. Dian’s home is massive and has floors above and below ground. No one knows how deep it goes. In his home are endless halls filled with special candles which he regularly patrols and arranges. He lights and extinguishes the candles with his noble powers. The candles are black and the flames burn blue. They all look identical with no writing or carvings of any sort, yet Dian somehow knows which is which. If you randomly switch them up, he can identify each individual one and restore them to their former positions flawlessly. No one knows how he’s capable of such a skill. Dian uses his candles to keep track of all noble lives in Lukedonia. Each candle represents a noble, sort of like a name tag. He adds and lights up a candle for each newborn and said candle will stay ignited for as long as they live. When nobles die, he extinguishes their respective candles but doesn’t remove them from the hall they’re in. The candles of the deceased serve as their figurative graves. Dian’s home never seems to run out of space for new candles. He will keep “records” of Lukedonia’s population until his own death. When he dies, he has a spell set up so his candle extinguishes itself. Dian’s partner is an unnamed Blerster.
Saoirse Jeanne Loyard: Pureblood turned non-pureblood. Entered eternal sleep, belonged to the Previous Lord’s generation.
Saoirse was the older sister of Noel, the father and predecessor of Seira. Her little brother was born when she was teenager. Unlike Noel who was kind, altruistic, and emphatic, Saoirse had none of those qualities. She never really resonated with her parents’ teachings of the importance of protecting humans as nobles. Even though she didn’t, she pretended to agree with them. That was her duty as the heir to her clan. Saoirse was envious and bitter towards Noel just as much as she loved him. Her feelings for him were very complicated and perhaps not enough to capture through mere words. Noel was the unusual non-pureblooded child born to a pureblooded Clan Leader. Their parents loved both of their children equally but even then Saoirse couldn’t help but feel resentful towards her younger brother. Noel’s status as non-pureblood meant that he could never become the successor, and she was jealous of exactly that. Despite being a hard worker, Saoirse felt numb and indifferent towards her responsibility and the expectations Lukedonia had for her. But, she couldn’t relinquish her status as heir either because it would’ve meant voiding her of all of her past efforts. Meanwhile Noel was free to live however he wanted to thanks to the indirect blessing of being born as non-pureblood. Saoirse’s discontent stemmed from two factors. Firstly, Noel shone too brightly. He was everything Saoirse wished she could’ve been but never had. He helped all and gave away pieces of his heart. His dream was to help create a safer world by protecting the weak. Saoirse thought her brother was delusional yet she admired his genuine selflessness. Whenever she was next to him, she felt dull and undignified. She was proud of him and cheered him on yet wished he would give up on his dreams someday as his radiance hurt her. Secondly, Saoirse wished she could be released from her role as heir despite wanting to clutch on simply for the sake of not tossing away centuries of tough grind. Externally, she showed nothing and continued to act as Clan Leader to-be while her internal struggles ate away her happiness piece by piece.
Saoirse’s perceived naivety of Noel only added fuel to the fire because not only could he daydream, he could do it to his heart’s desire without the constraints and responsibilities of a pureblood. Perhaps Saoirse also felt pity for Noel in that he could’ve accomplish more if he were born as a pureblood. Yes his light blinded her, yes she was bitter about him, yet part of her wished to tear off her wings and give them to him because he deserved them more than her. Eventually, Saoirse’s dissonance clouded her judgement and she would go on and make a decision to regret for a lifetime. She visited a mysterious masked Paradiso noble and made a wish to switch places with Noel. She was fully aware of the true nature of the Paradiso’s supernatural wish-granting ability but she committed nonetheless. She specified in her wish that she wanted to give her powers and abilities to her little brother and modify everyone’s memories so no one is aware of this exchange taking place except for herself. Saoirse’s wish was granted and the world’s gears turned at once. History was rewritten, and she became the non-pureblood and Noel became the heir. In hindsight, maybe she should’ve asked for her own memories to be modified as well. She immediately regretted her decision as the switch only made matters worse in reality. Not only did she not feel fulfilled by her newly acquired freedom, she was horrified when she came to her senses and realized the immense burden she had placed on her brother. Now that he’s the future Clan Leader, he’d actually go out of his way and put himself in real danger because he has the power to do so as a pureblood. No no no no, this cannot happen, I was so stupid, she thought. But wishes are irreversible. Saoirse could only wait in anxiety for the worst to come, which is the world counterbalancing the wish itself. It could happen tomorrow or a thousand years later. The uncertainty of the wait itself was a curse. Centuries passed and nothing happened, and though Saoirse knew it was impossible for the counterbalance to not happen, every day she prayed that the world would “forget” about it. Every time she looked at Noel’s face, she was overwhelmed with guilt. Every loving and soft “Sister” he called out was a lance through her heart. She could only sit by and despair. The worst came to be when the world killed Noel through Zarga’s hands. Zarga was merely a catalyst the world borrowed for the clean-up of Noel’s existence. Noel the Clan Leader was never meant to be, and ultimately had to be wiped out to restore the world’s balance. And Saoirse could only blame herself. Following her brother’s death, she would’ve immediately entered eternal sleep out of grief and self-blame, but she had to make up for her grave mistake by taking care of little Seira. That was the last correct decision she could make; she had to do it for him, and his daughter, and herself. Saoirse enters eternal sleep when Seira reaches the age of 200. She never speaks of her secret to anyone. However, her mysterious wish-granter is still alive and knows everything.
Kirsi Vuokko Loyard: Non-pureblood. Alive in the present day, belongs to Raskreia’s generation.
Kirsi likes to build things. She’s not necessarily aiming for anything specific with her creations. She’s more interested in the exploration part that comes with design and construction of ideas. She makes a variety of gadgets but her favorite always has something to do with sharp blades. Perhaps her grandmother Esther Volo had some influence on her. Before Esther entered eternal sleep, she left her extensive scissors collection to her granddaughter because her son found it to be too creepy and didn’t want it. Kirsi seemed like she’d appreciate it, so Granny gifted the goodies to her instead. She can tease her father about it. Kirsi makes excellent torture devices. She thinks of it as an art form. She didn’t start off aiming to design torture devices, though. She just wanted to create something that’d make slicing fruit and blending juice fun. Lo and behold, her talent lands her a job. How lovely. Now her stuff is the standard in dungeons. Kirsi doesn’t get attached to her less successful inventions during trial-and-errors so she tosses them out when she does her decluttering routines. Somehow, one of her prototypes survived and made its way to the human world. It became the inspiration for the guillotine. Kirsi is kind of embarrassed because the humans made a big deal out of one of her unfinished junk DIYs instead of the completed and perfected version of which she has at home. Her partner thinks it’s hilarious and reminds her that she can “correct and enlighten” them with her newer stuff. Kirsi shrugs and says she’s too lazy to do that. The humans can use it to cut each other’s heads off if they want. She uses hers to slice watermelon perfectly. Kirsi’s partner is an unnamed member of Gradeus’ clan.
Thank you for reading! Gradeus’ clan is next!
