Thank you so much for this ask! I love the idea of InuKag Kiss bc they're running out of time--it's so good for them!

I wrote a little something; it ended up longer than I anticipated (who is surprised by this? literally no one 🫠) so I humbly offer the beginning here, but you can read the whole piece, "A Kiss Out of Time," on Ao3! Rated T for violence and Inuyasha's mouth 😅

“Kagome!” Inuyasha’s voice, streaked with terror, tore through Kagome’s body as she struggled to get back to her feet.

All around her, the battle raged, but Kagome had to pause, had to lift her shirt to see the wound in her stomach, which was currently gushing blood.

She hissed. How could she have been so stupid?

The demon had attacked them unawares; Sango thought it must have the ability to disguise its scent, as neither Inuyasha nor Kirara nor Shippō detected its presence until it had leapt onto Inuyasha, who’d been keeping watch by the fire, and demanded the shards of the Jewel.

Inuyasha’s scream, his cry of sankon tessō! awoke everyone at the camp. Kagome and Shippō darted out of her sleeping bag, Kagome grabbing her bow and arrows as they did so, while Kirara immediately transformed and jumped into the fray. The demon’s fangs nearly clipped her, but a well-timed throw of the hiraikotsu had struck the demon in the temple and sent it scurrying back. 

But then, a heat-seeking missile, it saw Kagome, eyed the vial of shards she wore around her neck, and attacked.

Life update:

I promise I have not disappeared and I haven't stopped writing. I'm just struggling to keep up.

Life has been a roller coaster this past year since I had some health issues and finally had my gallbladder removed.

I got engaged. Had to heal from surgery. Holidays. Grandpa died. Mom fell and broke her arm. Hospital. Then rehabilitation because she couldn't take care of herself since most 1 armed modifications require balance, which she doesn't have since her stroke. Stayed with her after her release and did everything for her.

Anxiety and stress and ptsd since I did that already for my dad who passed 5 years ago from dementia. It was something I said I couldn't and wouldn't do again. Somehow guilt got in my face and my boundaries were crossed.

Then my gym competition and my bridal shower (where I met @superpixie42 in personnnnnnn). Mom fell again and I panicked she had another stroke. Called an ambulance. Hospital. Back to rehab to try physical and Occupational therapy for additional treatment.

So, it's been a wild ride. Please don't think I've orphaned my works or of that they'll never be updated. I promise they're coming. Also I promise not to start another log fic until I finish the ones I have open.

It’s a modern AU, and it starts with inu trying to talk to Kagome and Sango (and Miroku) barricading the door. They were at at bar when Inu ran into Kikyo (his ex) and she kissed him and Kagome saw. Kagome ran away and that’s why Inu was stopped at the apartment door. Also, she was hiding behind the couch when Inu arrived.

It was a misunderstanding, of course, and he goes on to explain to her why he and Kikyo broke up in the first place (mate bond).

Hi there! I hope you don't mind us publicly answering this ask, as others may have the same question as you. "Too NSFW" would be considered artwork where you can see genitalia or nipples (on Kagome). For written works, we would not allow explicit writing (such as sexual scenes, or describing Kagome's breasts and/or Inuyasha's penis, etc.). Basically, no smut. For your specific idea regarding the 'Hot Spring' prompt, InuKag bathing together and washing each other is fine, as long as nothing explicit is shown. I hope that helps. :)

❌ What’s a trope you will never write?

I had to peruse the trope list to come up with something. XD I think the "crossover (or OC) characters as relatives" idea is pretty unlikely to play a role in anything I write. I'm not big on actual crossover fics anyway, so taking say... Akane from Ranma and making her Kagome's cousin or something, and then somehow putting her through the well? Just not something I plan on using. Or a random OC in the same position. There's so much room for an OC to be a useful character as part of the plot that doesn't mean they have to be related to a canon character. I'm far more likely to, in a modern or fully historical, AU make Miroku Kagome's cousin, or Sango for that matter.

I sure can! I'm working on Garden today, so here's a tidbit:

The fluffy clouds trailing one another like ducklings made the sun appear and fade in quick succession. Kagome sat on the edge of the bed she was adding fertilizer and mulch to and pulled the work gloves from her hands. She wiped the stray bits of dirt onto her apron before digging into a tiny hidden pocket sewn into the collar of her dress. She normally kept a charm or talisman there when she had to go into town or the few times she had traveled further abroad. Today she pulled out the tear pearl she had created in her seemingly final act of magic.

It looked innocuous enough. No glowing to be seen, no heat coming from it. It changed color ever so slightly when held up to the sun, but that was to be expected. The only thing that made it clear it was not as plain as it looked was the humming vibration she felt when she touched it. It was neither audible nor visible, but it was definitely there. Kagome was tempted to see if either of her hanyou companions could feel it, but she mostly wanted to figure it out for herself. 

🧠 Pick a character, and I’ll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.

I'm going to go with Shippou! So I think my favorite cheesy headcanon for him is that after some time (more than likely just before the well closes) he starts to refer to Inuyasha as "brother" in kitsune because none of their human companions understand. It's just close enough to inuyoukai that Inuyasha gets it but pretends he doesn't for a while. Eventually, once he can get the intonation down, Inuyasha responds in kind and Shippou is shocked, but so so pleased.

I decided to kick off the new year by announcing that I am FINALLY getting my writing back on track!

Here is a small peek of Kagome being just as frustrated as everyone else who has been waiting.

Kagome watched as the watery red swirled down the drain, pressing her brush into the steel carefully to make sure she got all of the paint out without damaging the bristles. She had calmed down and was at a good stopping point, so now would be a good time to work on one of the commissions that was closest to a deadline.

She had just laid the brushes out to finish drying and was reaching into the cabinet for a water bottle when the sound of heavy work boots clunking against the hall floor reached her ears. Swallowing thickly, she attempted to keep her mind from hurtling itself straight back into the gutter and undoing all of the progress she had made in the last two hours.

Schooling her features into a pleasant smile, she turned around to face him as if she wasn't bothered at all.

Not the least bit bothered by the way his arms flexed, the arms of the t-shirt barely able to stretch around them.

Not bothered by the way his pants had dipped low and the hem of his shirt had rumpled up, exposing a biteable portion of his six-pack.

Not,

At.

All.

Bothered.

“Done for the day?” She asked, surprised he was calling it quits this early.

He paused in the doorway, crossing his arms.

Damn him.

“Nah, I just thought I’d come see if I could find a tasty little snack,” he answered, his eyes trailing down her body as his tongue slowly smoothed over his lower lip.

Well, stuff her with cream filling and call her a Hostess snack cake.

“O-oh. I’m sure there’s something around here,” she mumbled, turning back to the sink to fill her bottle. She might need two because if the state of her panties were any indication, she was losing fluids at an alarming rate. Her breath hitched as he walked up beside her, so close that the warmth from his body caused goosebumps to rise on her skin. Out of the corner of her eyes, she saw him reach across the counter and take a peach from a basket that she hadn't noticed earlier--why had he started stocking those on a regular basis? Was he actively trying to kill her?

Inuyasha leaned back into the corner of the counters, making eye contact as he raised the peach to his mouth and slowly bit in. Juice burst from the skin, droplets leaving a wet trail down his chin. With a small smirk, he used his thumb to wipe it up, sucking the digit with an audible slurp.

“Just how I like it—extra juicy.”

Kagome tightened the lid with far more force than necessary, her hands trembling. She repressed a scream; this damned tension better be resolved soon, because she was barely a step away from climbing onto the island and spreading herself like a buffet.
