it was the aftermath of the grand magic games, fairy tail won like they said they would but the little wager they made didn’t get forgotten. since the two split teams were forced to join as one, neither team could uphold the agreement. so as a tiebreaker makarov decided on an old-fashioned rock-paper-scissors to determine the victor.

erza stepped up to face laxus in the match “you got this erza! wipe the floor with em!” you cheered on your friend along with the rest of team ‘a’. erza nodded and raised her hand, laxus took up the same motion, when erza dropped her hand she had scissors while laxus had rock.

your jaw dropped and you felt your eye twitch “you got to be kidding me.” a chorus of groans and complaints came from the ‘a’ team, it was going to be a long day for all of you.

the ‘b’ team wasted no time, as soon as they won they got straight to business. laxus pulled out a map and presented it to the ‘a’ team “go to this forest to get a magic stone.”

“magic stone?” wendy asked curiously

“the forest is called ‘las puertas del infierno’.”

you blinked at him “let me get this straight you want us to go to some forest that is literally called the doors of hell, for a rock…yeah i’m not going.”

he laughed and smirked at you “that’s cute but you don’t have a choice here babe, you have till noon.”

“please i barely wanna look for some stupid rock so why would i-” mid-sentence you let yourself think, you caught the smirk he sent your way so he was sending you along with the exploration team on purpose. he knew you, and searching through a swamp for a rock was the last thing you wanted to do.

“you sick son of a bitch you are good.” you glared at him, he knew you well and you hated it, he had just what he needed to get the upper hand in the punishment game.

you slowly trudged through the swamp, disgusted by all its inhabitants and the murky water you were walking in “guys i wanna go home.”

gray looked at you from the corners of his eyes with a sigh “you’ve been saying that for the past ten minutes y/n.”

you sucked your teeth at him and rolled your eyes “that doesn’t make it any less true. let’s just find that stupid rock go we could get out of here, i mean lucy over here covered head to toe in leeches.”

“what?!” she shrieked while running around in circles “get them off me! get them off!”

“i would put im not touching those” you pointed to the leeches on her thighs “besides i just got my nails done these weren’t cheap you know.”

nastu fired a flame attack to help lucy with the leeches, while peeling off the remaining creatures he spoke to you over his shoulder “when did you find time to get those we just, got back from the grand magic games, and how did you pay for them last time i checked you’re dirt broke like the rest of us.”

lucy slapped his head “speak for yourself!” lucy had rent to pay so she could be anything she wanted but dirt broke, she's been taking jobs back to back just to pay her rent.

you shrugged "you have your strengths and i have mine, and i happen to have a bottomless wallet on my side."

happy snickered behind his paws “yeah a bottomless wallet who’s in loveee”

you whipped your neck around and yelled at happy “can it cat!” unfortunately for you he continued giggling floating off to be by natsu.

after walking through the swamp for what felt like hours, when it reality it was a long hour and thirty minutes you finally found the stone. thanks to gray and his unfortunate set of circumstances.

when you finally returned to the guild and returned the stone just for it to be used for a makeshift jacuzzi, you and lucy shared a single glance that spoke volumes.

your eyes took in laxus' chiseled body going lower and lower until your eyes rested on his happy trail, you were no stranger to this sight but it still did the job for you every time, too busy admiring his body you didn’t notice him looking at you with a lazy grin on his face “my eyes are up here y/n.”

his voice snapped you out of your daze “hm? oh yeah sure whatever.” you looked away from him ignoring the snickers coming from the remainder of the b team.

it came time for the b team to pick members from the a team. cana took wendy, mira took erza, gajeel took lucy, and unsurprisingly juvia took gray. you, elfman and natsu unfortunately got stuck with laxus.

you were stuck tending to laxus and the thunder legion by the jacuzzi while he sent natsu and elfman on a while goose chase for milk and bread, you rose a brow as they ran out of the guild for the items.

“y/n.” he smirked at you as he spoke, he pointed to his shoulder with his thumb “i want you to give me a massage if you don’t mind.”

you resisted the urge to roll your eyes ‘if you don’t mind’ he says, like you had a choice in the first place.

you flashed him a fake smile “gee i would have too but i don’t have a swimsuit! what if i fell in? we wouldn’t want that now would we?” you knew there was no proper way to get out of this, but even if you could stall a little you would be fine.

“i could get you a swimsuit y/n.” evergreen chipped in with a smile

you immediately turned around to face her “say what now?”

laxus smirked at you and nodded towards the guild doors "evergreen go take y/n to get a swimsuit." you couldn't protest even if you wanted to, and you were a little irritated that you didn't think your plan through. after picking swimsuits with evergreen, which you think she enjoyed more than you did, you walked back to the jacuzzi where they were all waiting for you.

laxus gave a low whistle shamelessly letting his eyes hungrily roam over your body and then pointed to his shoulders "where were we?" sometimes you couldn't deny how much you hated him.

bickslow smiled and pointed to his own shoulders “i’d like a massage too.”

you scowled at him which only caused his grin to become wider “freed is literally sitting right there make him do it. you’re all dead once this day ends.”

as you massaged his bare shoulders, you noticed the marks on his back that you left from your last night together, rolled your eyes at how he showed them off and traced a finger on the red scratches letting your nail gently glide across his back.

he pointed to his shoulder with a smirk on his face “my shoulders are up here y/n. are you feeling okay you’re out of it today?” he chuckled as he felt you glaring him down, as you massaged his shoulders you occasionally moved your hands to the base of his neck, longing to put your hands around his neck and clutch.

evergreen nudged the boys knowing it was their cue to leave, evergreen sent you a wink over her shoulder as she left with bickslow and freed "try to act civil you two we're in the guild after all."

within seconds laxus pulled you onto his lap clearly ignoring evergreen's words of wisdom. he rested his hands on your waist to support you, and he smiled up at you with a gleam in his eyes. his hands roamed your body as they moved down to your hips, he pulled you closer to him your body was flush against his and he whispered in your ear “that was a dirty move you pulled using your nails like that.” his voice sent shivers down your spine, the way he whispered those words just for you to hear despite the empty room, if there was one thing he knew how to do it was how to leave an effect on you.

you fiddled with the hair on the nape of his neck knowing how it affects him “it was just a harmless massage, you were the one who told me to give you one after all.” you gently dragged your nails from his neck into his hair, grazing your nails into his scalp, grinning when he hummed at your touch.

“you play a dangerous game y/n. we’ve got a couple more hours till the day ends let’s make it count.”

We are going to do Laxus post his first fight for this one~ Because we love character growth in this universe~

Laxus is an alpha, a seemingly calm alpha with a selective and secretive short fuse. 

He has no time anymore for meaningless violence. Laxus is too busy looking towards the future and doing whatever is within his power from behind the scenes to make the lives of his guildmates better

However if you purposely put yourself in his way, by threatening his assumed fairy tail this man will assert himself as the alpha and without letting that sink in he will strike

One blast of lightning is all it takes to fry most, and just to be a disrespectful shit, he will let his scent out so they are stuck smelling like the alpha who kicked their ass so easily and warning any of their buddies there is a Fairy Guardian ready to kick ass if they try to lay a hand on them

Unlike Natsu or Rogue he is not hiding or ignoring his alpha status, he doesn’t necessarily think it makes him better than anyone anymore. However He knows that secondary gender often leads people to be naturally stronger in terms of strength and scent

He is very mindful of how much force he puts into everything, from opening doors to helping someone up who fell. It would bother and upset him if he accidentally caused injury to someone who did not deserve it

Unlike how Natsu just has a generally lower scent unless he’s angry, Laxus’s scent is strong and he has gone through time to learn how to keep it calmer and not overpowering for those around him. In fact it is a rather grounding and calming scent that makes you feel you can rely on this man

He takes pride in his scent but understands not everyone wants to smell him 24/7 so he hardly ever pushes his scent out(except as a power move on assholes), and never scent marks not even the Thunder legion 

Although awkward when it comes to expressing affection, Laxus is a very passionate alpha it comes across in the tiny turns of his lips, the stance he takes to protect others, and the crackling of his lightning (it differs in fights against guildmates vs enemies you can feel his ferocity)

This goes for shows of affection to his guild mates too, he plays with them like a jock big brother would the youngest sibling. He treasures them but also this usually comes through him unintentionally teasing them or pissing them off by how he interacts with them

Alpha Laxus is not looking for power, he is looking for a family. A place to rest and a place he can protect with everything inside him

If he is needed to lead then he will but it will not be from the thought of I am alpha so you will listen, but because he wishes to protect and he will serve the role of protector (not alpha) but protector for those who he has come to accept as family regardless of their secondary genders, primary genders, sexuality, or magical ability

He has learned to protect the strong as well as the weak and he cherishes each one even if he does not know them personally all that well, when family views them as his family thus he will protect them

As for Laxus as an alpha to be with you, well you must be a member of Fairy Tail plain and simple, or someone Fairy Tail sees as family

If you are seen as family but a part of another guild it won’t work for him. He has to be able to protect you and while he does see other guilds as friends he can’t trust them with your safety

Civilian? Oh guess who just got the best gig ever? Working at Fairy Tail! Congratulations~

He is a quiet partner at first, he speaks with his body and actions. You’ll need to learn to notice his glances because they speak volumes about whether he is watching you lovingly, worried for you, or just perplexed by your behavior.

Same for his body positioning, he tends to linger closer to you not like hovering beside you, but same side of the room as you. Sitting just a seat or two away, or positioned so he can be beside you in an instant if anything happened

Laxus is not huge on PDA, he just is a bit awkward because he doesn’t really crave skinship in the way many do

He prefers to gently fix your hair as a way of giving you affection before moving on to the next objective. Or cup your cheek and smile for a moment before he walks away to go get you food or one of his jackets 

He will on occasion stand just a half step behind and to the side so he can rest one of his gargantuan hands on your hip and bask in your presence

Laxus will actually commit murder if he sees you crying. The snarls and way he snaps you up into his arms is terrifying enough to his guild members let alone the stranger who had hurt your soul thusly

He feels helpless but will be there to hold you and offer soft words of encouragement and protection. This is one of the times you would hear him give you verbal affirmations without having to ask for them. He will get revenge for you unless you stop him

If its because of unfortunate events, nature is nature after all Laxus will steal you away to somewhere safe preferably your nest so he can just be a strong shoulder to cry on, and later cook for you. Expect the best cuddles, kisses, and home-cooked food, unintentionally becoming more like husband material by the day

It's much later on in your relationship when he starts to act on certain alpha impulses

One of those is kissing you, he found you too cute before and he was in no rush to claim you. If you wanted him like he did you it would happen in time

When he finally acts on it, it is probably after a heated battle or moment where he feels he had nearly failed to be the man (not alpha) he wanted to be for you and is so desperate and filled with all the love he has been storing up inside for you

It’s a claiming and dominant kiss and later he will apologize if that wasn’t the sort of kiss you wanted your first kiss with him to be

Now he seeks you out sometimes tugging you in gently by your hips or cupping the back of your head while he presses slow claiming steamy kisses to your lips (or if he is feeling needy or worried about you to your throat by your scent glands)

If someone in the guild is getting too close or handsy expect his jealousy to leak out slightly in a small scent flare and him coming over to kiss your forehead and cheek and suggest you both go “-get a drink” “show him that thing you were talking about” or if they really pushed it “to our Home”

Another impulse he is acting on? Scenting for the first time in years! He wants to leave his scent lingering on you so that you know he is never too far away

It does ward off others as well, being an alpha but it was more because it's his way of claiming his mate as a man who is terrified to lose you and his family again

The times it is as an alpha is if you have to go into battle and either of you are worried about the other's safety. He hopes his alpha scent could deter any harm that might come to you, he knows it can't always but even if it helps a little it's worth using his secondary gender then. Please scent him back, it helps calm his mind that you will be okay while he has to fight. He also fights six times harder with your scent on him subconsciously fighting to defend his mate with all the deadly precision he has learned over the years as an s class wizard

If he knows you are okay with it he will often wrap you up in some of his clothes

It tickles his heart seeing you drowning in his huge things

He’s unaware of it but the others see that alpha light in his eyes when you wear something of his. All the pride and love of an alpha watching their mate but they really want to tease him for this behavior he's unaware of

Alpha status can sometimes be used by him without thinking if it can make your or the guilds lives easier or safer. It is less OOO I’m a big scary alpha and “Oh? Scared of alpha’s huh? Then get the fuck out of here before I show you what an alpha really is, scum.” 

Would not appreciate being referred to by his secondary gender, it brings up bad memories and discredits his actual prowess and growth. Use his name, or his position as a s class Fairy Tail wizard not “Alpha”.

Is re-assured if you like his secondary gender but it's something he wouldn’t realize he finds relieving until it happens and you tell him as such. Although he would still prefer if it was not one of your favorite things about him

Not the greatest at understanding what the other positions need, but he is trying to learn every single day. Has gone to the library to try and find books that aren't archaic so he can be sure to provide the family or you with whatever you require at any time. He still gets surprised by things, like why your little clicks and prrts can grab his attention from across a battlefield. Doesn’t realize that is his mate's way of calling to him and him alone and he is responding to it the right way, he may ask you to be more careful about when you make those noises after he accidentally gets distracted by it while you were cheering him on and Natsu socked him in the jaw

I’ll do a more courting one but I think this is more than I had meant to do for just him as an alpha lol XD Heres a few little more but I’d be willing to do a courting headcanon, or nsfw mate headcanon if people are curious

Chapter 545: Irreplaceable Friends

In the year X793, Lucy wins an award for her new book while all the guilds in the country of Fiore move on with their lives. Hisui pardons Crime Sorcière of their crimes, allowing them to live on to the future.

Gajeel points out that since Lucy and Anna have the same smell, it means he likes Anna. In which Natsu does not deny. It's cute how the Heartfilia Clan has this history with him. He even got the heiress, as his.

Lucy wakes up thinking everything was just a dream. Then sees Natsu and Happy in his house comfortably waiting for her to wake up. She remembers what she did while drunk. We should've seen more of it! Don't fret Lucy, you are Natsu's future bride.

And as Natsu invites her for a job, Lucy is bombarded with memories of them together. Let's dissect this:

1. The Duke of Everloo episode, wherein Natsu tells Lucy that she must burn the book since this is their job. First job and first partnership together!

2. Galuna Island Arc

3. When Natsu saves Lucy from falling, Phantom Lord Arc

4. Loke Arc, when the monsters (Natsu, Gray, and Erza) were having a pillow fight.

5. When an injured Natsu talks with Laxus

6. Oracion seis arc, when they were bombed by Zero

7. Edolas arc, when Earth Lucy met Edo Lucy.

8. Tenrou Island Arc, their battle with Cain Hikaru

9. GMG Arc, Natsu thanks Future Lucy

10. Tartaros Arc, Natsu vs Mard Geer and Igneel vs Acnologia

11. Natsu comes back after the 1 year timeskip

12. Alvarez Arc, the end of the war

Lucy envelops Natsu in a hug. She is thankful and happy with everything that happened. And when it gets emotional, Natsu drags her out to go for a job.

With a promise.

We end Fairy Tail on their 100 year quest.

I never thought that this would happen. Many people were supporting me along the way. I shared with my first blog that I was doing this to heal my inner child who has always been a Fairy Tail fan since 2011. It's been part of my growth and will always be part of my heart.

I'm happy I was able to finish the whole series and finish my NaLu blog! I'm still thinking if I shall proceed with the 100 year quest (it's still ongoing thus I'm hesitating). We'll know when we cross that bridge.

so, Freed vs. Mirajane aftermath moment. Every once in a while I think about it and how important the scene is. talking about this right here; [manga panels for reference + full text + some other appreciation/art posts while I'm at it talking about this fight [1] [2] [3] [4]]. reposting this as text only post because tumblr does the weird thing of completely swallowing posts that have an image in it atm.

Three quick things because, in my humble opinion, this is still one of Fairy Tail's most beautiful scenes.

Firstly, Freed recalling things his guild mates have said to him, showing him that they accept him and want to spend time with him? That he's truly not been alone or had to limit himself to his team and Laxus as outcasts? It's a shame anime-only watchers never got to see this because there's also so much information in it.

Erza has sparred with Freed in the past and clearly considers him S-Class worthy? Makarov telling/trusting Freed to look after Laxus? Natsu finding Freed intriguing enough to challenge him for a fight, Cana wanting to share a drink in good company, Reedus complimenting his appearance? It's asll so good, there are so many factors at play there! Definitely should have been in the anime too because it adds not only information about Freed himself but also how others may view him and relationships between characters.

Secondly, Mirajane crying and Freed then also bursting into tears finally allowing himself to feel this emotion and process Mira's eye-opening words. And how they both can relate to it so well. With Mira and her background story, her feeling for a long time as though she had to isolate herself to not hurt anybody and Freed building up armor around his heart because we can only imagine what powers like his, powers like the Raijinshuu's, had them go through and deal with. We may not know their backstory but we know it's tragic like everybody else's. Dark. Troubled. The She-Devil and Freed the Dark, they both must have felt so incredibly lonely for a long time and had/have to learn how to open up their heart again, let other people in. Truly. And after Mira had her eyes opened at some point, she was now able to open Freed's.

God knows Mirafreed is a ship with so much wonderful potential and for some time I know you and I both had hoped that a ship would be developed between these two, and I say this as a major Fraxus shipper. 'Let's try to have fun at the next Harvest festival' - The thought of Freed and Mira having a date at the next Harvest Festival? Absolutely wonderful. Splendid. Them teaming up in the future being the badasses they are and understanding each other's troubles with their powers? Like, Freed and his team mates all have to deal with their eye magics (that I'm certain aren't 'learned' and eye magic as a whole is a touchy subject) but there's also that part of Freed's dark eye magic that lets him transform and he said himself that his Darkness form is forbidden. Likely because there's always a chance of losing control or losing himself and who if not Mira would understand that fear and trouble more.

Alas, they didn't end up having many interactions after this. Freed was kept more to his team and Laxus and Mira more to her siblings. But man, one way or another, this moment is beautiful and I just know they get along well in whatever form that may be.

Whumptober 2023 1: "How Many Fingers am I Holding Up?" Or: Natsu Vs. Fights Out of His League

Natsu wasn't particularly known for his ability to pick his battles.

From the moment he first burst through those guild doors like a large flaming moth that was pulled towards crazy, he had been dead set on becoming the strongest. 

Though the definition of strongest tended to vary from day to day. Some days it was be becoming S-class. Other days it was taking on a 100-year quest (which kind of needed the S-class title as a prerequisite, but details). And then there was challenging all the strongest mages nearby to single combat. 

Didn’t matter if it was one of the older kids or the adults or anyone really. After learning they had magic and Natsu was done exclaiming how awesome it was and the like, he’d shout that he was gonna beat them someday. And then never forget that promise, frequently challenging all the strongest mages who could squash him into mincemeat within seconds. 

In other words, he was an idiot.

Of course Gray had ears. Enough years overhearing Flamebrain shouting about his missing dad-who-was-apparently-a-dragon and how he’d make said dad-from-an-extinct-species come looking for him instead of the other way around was enough to put two and two together for the underlying reason behind it. 

But as someone who’s thrown more punches with Natsu than he could count, Gray would like to claim full credibility saying the fire dragon slayer was still an idiot. 

This time, those finely tuned lack of self-preservation instincts led said idiot to challenge both Erza and Laxus. 

At the same time. 

Needless to say, Gray wasn’t surprised to enter the guildhall exactly one minute after the scheduled duel to find one thoroughly-barbequed dragon slayer. 

They had gone easy on him. 

Gray poked the charred lump with his foot. “Hey Flamebrain, how many fingers am I holding up?”

Natsu responded with a middle finger. 

Yeah, he’d be fine.

Oh wow. How did this even happen? These two, in a romantic relationship?

It's Natsu who actually asks him out. It has to be--Gajeel a) doesn't know how to interpret his own feelings, b) doesn't like admitting to having them, and c) has that huge rivalry with "Salamander" in the way.

The thing that first makes them both notice they actually like each other is fighting Laxus in a 2v1 rematch (because they were both scared to try it alone and wouldn't admit it--see also, Episode 129). Yeah, they lost, but somewhere in the middle they realized they actually click really well fighting on the same side.

They didn't get together until after they finally, actually, no lie, had the rematch they kept saying they'd have but never pursued. It was on a whole nother level, because they've both gotten so much stronger than the first time they fought. Gajeel is way tankier and fights smarter, and Natsu has way more power to throw around.

It was wild and they fought like they were trying to kill each other. Dragonslayer secret arts were brought out. Blood was shed, and the two were nearly dead by the end--and both of them had the time of their lives.

A lot of that homoerotic shit said by clueless guys was thrown around. "you took everything I had" "i've never had a fight this good" "now i'm excited" "show me a good time" and even, at the end, "let's fight again soon" like it's a fucking date.

It kind of was.

The rejection Natsu was handed when he actually asked Gajeel out would have killed someone else on the spot, but because it's Natsu, it slid right off and he resolved to try again later. Of course, Gajeel eventually caved.

They don't do that "hurt them and I kill you" nonsense. They instead opt for "fuck with them and you fuck with me" mostly because they refuse to let their boyfriend have all the fun.

Happy and PantherLily suddenly have to deal with these two of all people being an item and it's distressing for them both.

NS/FW:

Has Gajeel ever even remotely thought about fucking Natsu? No, of course, not, and if you even suggest something that ridiculous again he'll cave your skull in!

Has a part of him thought about bending Natsu over ever since their first fight? Oh, duh, absolutely.

Sex with these two involves a lot of rolling around, semi-wrestling, taunting dirty talk, and biting. So much biting. It's very physical.

Natsu isn't wrestling with Gajeel for the right to top, just to bottom his way. Gajeel's stupid smirk brings out the dominant bottom in him and he wants to pin Gajeel's hands to the bed and ride him stupid.

Committed aftercare (Natsu) vs. reluctant aftercare (Gajeel).

Gajeel, like Cobra, is the jealous type, yet like Cobra with Sting, it never takes with Natsu. Natsu is the most loyal bro/hoe one can have. They do, however, love to argue about which of them any number of nearby people was eyeing up i.e. who's hotter. And then they go settle it with sex.

This sounds like a fun idea! I talked about Laxus being Guild Master before so here, I'll focus on the other two this time then.

I really do think any of the prominent characters in the guild becoming guild master would be a good finality to the character arc for them, and I really love that about Fairy Tail. Other than these three I can think most notably of Cana having an amazing reign as Master. But we're not here to talk about that.

Starting with Erza! She pretty much did become Master but Mashima was a coward I'm joking so. I honestly think she could become the honourable female leader that Knightwalker couldn't be post-Edolas. Revered, respected, and beloved in Magnolia--- noble, humble, and graceful. Honestly, I think she'd most fit the image of a 'guild master' that we expect to see in fantasy stories. The badass woman in the back of the guild, whose sword can destroy continents, who everyone fears and relies on. She lets everyone run wild in her guild, she joins in and encourages brawls, sometimes she even starts them! She beats you up with a smile on your face. But when danger comes, she's the front of the line, roaring to declare the charge. I suppose when the generation comes around, she'll be known as 'greatest female swordsman in the nation, the guild master of Fairy Tail', and she would be such a prominent draw. She's the kind of character you see in fantasy stories set up at the end goal or something, and she undeniably lives up to the name. Fairy Tail will definitely start growing more into its name with her as the Master, and I really do feel it's such a fun way for the guild to advance and live on with Mavis' whimsical spirit.

Erza becoming guild master means a lot to her as a character. She comes to the guild to chase after the remnant of Grandpa Rob, and it's so fitting for the message of 'putting yourself at risk to protect what's important to you/family' that FT represents. She has this dilemma the most in the guild, it's a struggle she constantly reminds herself to overcome from TOH to Tenrou (you don't die for your friends, you live for them). She stops Jupiter, she stops Natsu vs Gray with her bare hands. She sacrifices all her feelings to hand Jellal over to the council in Nirvana, and later helps Wendy out of the same broken heart. Remember when Rob died to protect her, and Makarov (almost) died to protect Fairy Tail at Alvarez-- it seems fitting that this selfless desire to see the next generation persist all lives on in her. She continues a parallel, and the position just seems right. She has genuine character growth that doesn't discredit her selfless nature as dumb and unnecessary-- she slowly grows to learn what's worth sacrificing for, what's worth living for, and when to make tough decisions, and all of that are great building blocks to becoming someone that can lead the next generation of selfless idiots.

Onto Mirajane! I envision Mira being so unsuspecting honestly. Imagine the boss of a big company coming by in a janitor's outfit, cleaning the floors. She leads VIPs to the empty master's office and serves them tea and stares at them from the doorway. She waits until a full ten minutes has passed before cracking up and telling you she's the Master, actually, how do you not recognize the person you have a meeting with? That's Mirajane. That's Mirajane, poster girl and barmaiden of Fairy Tail, who serves everyone beers and cocktails day in and out. She has so much patience she lets the guild absolutely wreak itself to pieces, she'll rebuild it, it's fine~ she wouldn't even react if you accidentally destroy a whole upper floor. Total ara ara character, unbeatable big sister energy. Everyone worships her and hails her like a goddess. Because of this, I also see people underestimating her/thinking her position is something earned from being pretty, especially when her she-devil stories fade to history.

While I think Erza would continue taking plenty of missions everywhere, Mirajane would stay where she is in the guild, like Makarov, staying there and being the one consistent face that always welcomes you home no matter what you do, how long you've been gone, and what hour you've returned. She would wish you a safe journey as you go, and you can always be back with a warm meal and a dear song and party. (Just like how they all welcomed Lisanna home.) She becomes the living symbol of home and love and family to everyone in FT, and I think that's very fitting for the character that's always symbolized motherhood and big-sisterhood to me in Fairy Tail. She has the most love and warmth in the guild that she extends to anyone (Yukino, for example) and she's definitely the kind to pick up stray children and bring them into the guild. Of course, when mom's angry, everyone better pray for their lives!

I am 100% going to just go on rants here because I don't know anyone who has/will watch this show and I've been obsessed with it for years.

But the Acnologia battle. I kinda just find it funny.

Alveraz is probably one of my least fav arcs. Sort of a mix of too many fake out deaths (I can forgive Gajeel's since demon portal and Juvia's is stretching but Makarov's was absolutely just for sad points. Like he was dead for chapters and then he's just back) which absolutely destroyed some of the tension for me and how certain characters just didn't get as much spotlight as I would have liked (*cough* Sabertooth, Oracion seiz and Thunder legion *cough*) also the anime totally skimped on the blood in Larcad and Sting's fight which had me booing at the TV when I watched it.

But the final fight. I think it's good, showing that they can barely even land a scratch on this guy who is way out of their depth is shown perfectly.

I'm not even mad about the power of friendship ending, I just stand by that I would have loved that they all pitch in like a roar or a secret art (perfect opportunity to have Rogue and Cobra use one for the first time)

I have always been confused why they never tried stronger spells though. Like I get conserve power and such but like. You aren't going to use secret arts? Gajeel never used his scales which baffles me because surely that would be a smart decision since it's wildly known that his scales, although affected by other dragon slayers, can at least lower the damage he takes. And why did Sting and Rogue never activate dragon force or use their unison raid. Like this is the guy who wants to kill you and you don't at least try these things once?

I also like the theory that Acno just at that moment destabilised due to the dragon slayers not giving him the power to remain stable but like, why did his body desigrate as well?

Like his soul makes sense but his body? Was that just a weird way of getting around having a giant dragon corpse? Or do all dragons just disintegrate upon death. Or no sorry, that doesn't make sense either because dragon eaters and dragon bones both exist and Laxus and Cobra literally have dragon hearts inside them. Plus Irene didn't disintegrate. I even have a work around for this if you don't want a giant dragon body laying around. Just make it canon that dragon slayers who became dragons revert to their human form upon death. Irene died looking like a human but it's also canon they use magic to transform so you'd think she'd change back but nah, she stays human.

Funny how my biggest problem here is the technique that the slayers used and how Acno just self destructs in the real world. Nothing with the ending or anything.

I dropped off around the middle of the whole Alderon part because I just kinda got bored of Team Natsu. I don't hate them but just... I like other characters more. Sorry to Natsu but he's at the bottom of my list of the seven. But then I saw Laxus and Gajeel get brought in and we get Laxus lacrima stuff so I've been trying to catch up to see that. Also God Serena Vs Gajeel sounds awesome like I wanna see that. But if I got anything from that wrong then that's why.

I'm still thinking about the grand magic games and how absolutely wild it is that we didn't get a Team A vs Team B fight for the one v one fights. Like, in canon they state that the matches are decided by the audience + the officials of the games, and you're telling me with your full chest no one wanted to see the Fairy Tail members duke it out between each other. Absolutely no one wanted to see the potential fights of: Erza vs Mirajane, Gajeel vs Natsu, hell Laxus vs ANYONE but nope, not a single person wanted Team A vs Team B. Absolute cowards behavior from everyone in the crowd, give me Gray fighting Cana fuck you all.
