Welcome to the Element Specific Character Tournament!
This is a tournament is to see which character that specializes in a specific element is the best!
There will be 10 different elements represented in this tournament, and they are:
Pyromancy (fire)
Aquamancy (water)
Aeromancy (wind, air)
Geomancy (earth)
Phytomancy (plants, vegetation)
Electromancy (lightning, electricity)
Cryomancy (ice)
Ferromancy (metals)
Umbramancy (darkness, shadows)
Luxomancy (light, holy)
There will be 10 different brackets to decide which characters of each element is the best of their respective elements. Then there will be a final showdown of all ten characters to see who is the best overall!
RULES
Be nice and respectful please. I don’t want any insults thrown at anyone.
Characters have to use the element that you submit it as (ex you submit Zuko as a fire character, not a water character).
If the character uses multiple elements, submit them under an element they’re best known for/most proficient at (ex Soren fire emblem can use multiple elemental tomes, but he is a wind mage and only he can use SS rank wind tomes).
You are allowed to submit as many characters as you want but it has to be one form at a time please.
No submitting the same character multiple times please.
Please specify where the character is from and please no acronyms!
Propaganda is allowed and encouraged but no anti-propaganda (aka character hate).
My time zone is EST and I won’t be active all the time to answer questions (sorry I got real life stuff to do).
There will be certain guidelines on certain characters and media (I’ll get into more detail later) this is because specific media can be weird on how they classify what power is what element. Especially with certain elements being more vague and loosey-goosey.
I don’t particularly mind who you submit as long as they stick to the guidelines, but I might have polls if I’m unsure about a certain character.
Anyways I’ll edit this post as it goes on if more questions are raised.
Elements, Characters, and Media clarifications
Do they have to be magical
Toph is going to be put as a geomancer. I know she invented metal bending but she’s better known as an earth bender and I don’t want her on both earth and metal brackets.
Since Aang is the avatar, he can use all four bending styles, but he started off as an air bender and the show is literally called “the last air bender” I’m going to put him under aeromancer.
Korra on the other hand, won’t be in this tournament at all. Even though she is apart of the water tribe, she doesn’t really have a bending style that’s she more attached to (I mean she was able to do three of the four bending styles much earlier than Aang).
Todoroki won’t be in this tournament. His fire and ice powers are basically on the same level of importance.
I’m going to in-act the same rule I did for Korra and Todoroki for characters like Kirby and Arceus. Just because they can do/become that element, doesn’t mean they are going to be in the tournament. Their whole shtick is they can be any type (arceus) or copy abilities (kirby).
The exception to this rule is Ben 10 with his alien forms. This is because the aliens will be considered as a representative of their species, since 1. people are more familiar with Ben’s names for the aliens 2. Not all alien species have an official canon name.
NO DEMON SLAYER CHARACTERS WHO USES THE BREATHING STYLES! The breathing styles aren’t actually summoning elemental powers, it’s a visual metaphor. Submit only those who can summon actual elements!
Both rock and ground type Pokémon will be considered geomancers
Umbramancy regarding dark and ghost type Pokémon
Luxomancy regarding psychic and fairy type Pokémon
Aeromancy regarding flying type Pokémon
Ferromancy and robots
Magnetism: Ferromancy vs Elctromancy
Why I am also calling Luxomancy “holy”
If the character is a god that doesn’t mean they are inherently a Luxomancer. They have to have something holy about their attacks.
Please don’t submit necromancers as umbramancers. Being able to raise the dead≠umbramancy, if the character can raise the dead ON TOP of general shadow/darkness manipulation they are allowed.
Have fun and let the submitting begin!

Welcome to the Sucromancer Tourney!
Here, sugar/candy magic specialists submitted by YOU will be put in a poll and voted on by YOU to see who is the best, wahtever that means.
This was made as a response to @elementspecificcharatourney 's tournament not including sucromancers (No offense to thier tournament, it inspired me to make this one and you should go check it out!), and because I wanted to try out running one of these tournament thingies.
Clarifications:
The charachter has to be a Specialist and it must be thier Main Element. Just because a character uses one sweet attack, dosen't mean their a sucromancer.
Charachters from NSFW media are allowed as long as there is a way for me to pressent them in a SFW way and I can find a SFW picture of them.
Feel free to submit using this google form:

hi welcome to sleepy girl bracket! im your friendly very very sleepy mod
i love when im playing a game or watching an anime and find a sleepy girl trope. they usually end up being one of if not my favourite character!
and though sleepy girls are not naturally prone to violence tumblr loves battle… and i dont know every sleepy girl in existence, so it gives me a chance to meet more :)
submissions close 9/23!
heres a few rules and regulations to submitting! we must dream safely my loves:
im okay with real people being submitted, since this isnt a particularly invasive sort of thing to say about someone imo
you can also submit boys, sleepy girl is a state of mind
prime sleepy girl behavior is having being sleepy/lazy be a core part of the submission— a running gag, something related to backstory, or a current story element (like, sleeping beauty would count as a sleepy girl)
but if a submission’s visuals/theme/etc are heavily connected to sleep and dreams i will also consider them :)
kanata konoe (love live) and yuyuko tanaka (revue starlight) will already be included, youre free to still submit them if you really want, but i dont need you to!
im sure theres sleepy girls abound in eroges, so on the off chance you submit from an eroge, please just specify that its 18+ :) sleepy mod is 18 but i think its valuable to denote
and with that, here’s the submission form! i think i’ll close them around the end of this month :)
(tagging other poll blogs for exposure hello thank you and i hope you dont mind me tagging! @obscurecharactershowdown @moon-swag-tourney @overworkedblorbobattle @battle-couple-battle @who-do-i-know-this-man @redandbluegaycompetition @meanpurplepoll @twintournament)

Welcome to the relatable blorbo poll!
A tourney where blorbos will fight to see who's the most relatable of them all
When the tournament starts, you'll be asked to vote for the character you relate to the most!
Please read the submission rules and the voting rules before submitting your blorbos
Submission Rules:
You can submit as many characters as you want, but please refrain from submitting the same character multiple times
Mcrp characters allowed as long as you can provide an explanation of why the character and the content creator are different people
No Harry Potter characters allowed
I reserve the right to turn down any character/piece of media that personally makes me uncomfortable
Anti-propaganda is accepted as long as it's not disrespectful or insulting of the character/piece of media/submitter
Any disrespectful comments towards other people, pieces of media included or characters included will get deleted. Depending on the nature of the comment you could also be blocked (any racist comments and hateful comments about the lgbtqia+ community will get blocked immediately)
Please refrain from submitting characters you're supposed to project onto (ie: visual novel protagonists with little to no distinctive personality traits) or characters whose character trait is being average. This rule is here in order to make things interesting
No real people
No OCs
Voting Rules:
If you don't know either character in a poll you can base your decision on the propaganda submitted for them or vibes alone
If you only know one character on a poll, it is advised to read the propaganda submitted for the other character before voting
We're voting for the relatability of their personality, not of their actions or circumstances
Unrealistic / fantastical elements that a chatacter or their world may possess should not affect their relatability (if you think the character's reaction to these elements might resemble what you would do/say in their situation)
Unusual circumstances / struggles a character might go through should not affect their relatability

"The king has come home to Storm's End," Delia says as you pull down a stiff sheet from the line, stale from hours in the rare summer sun of the otherwise overcast city, "you shoulda come see. Oh, but he is a rather large man."
"Did he have his hammer, then?" You taunt as you take down another linen sheet, "the one he cracked the old prince's skull with?"
"Don't say that," she hisses with a frantic wave, "it is not only the king who's visiting. He brought half his court and them ears as well."
"Is it treasonous to wonder? To speak of the past?" You frown and drop the swathe of cotton into the basket, "Deli, why d'you even care about the king? He's not come to see buncha shepherd's daughters."
"What else is there to care about?" She sighs as you lift the wicker basket between you, made heavy by the lengths of fabric, "his wife, oh, she's so beautiful. Definitely a Lannister, golden and shiny."
"Don't let pa hear all that," you warn, "you know how he is."
"Must be where you get it from," she sticks her tongue out, "can't never be happy about anything."
"I'm happy. Happy for a roof and a plate," you shrug, "happy for my family and the hens. What happiness can I spare for fancies and dreams?"
"What's so wrong with dreamin'?" She pouts.
"Nothin', so long you're content with disappointment."
"There's to be a tourney," she declares gaily as you come in site of your father's house.
"In this season?" You glance up at the yellow sky, fluffy clouds certain to turn grey.
"Ugh, you must see the worst in even the best. We may never see the knights and ladies again in Storm's End."
"The Lord Paramount frequents often enough. Is he not noble enough for your tastes?"
"That isn't my meaning," she bemoans, "I blame this rainy land for your similar tiding."
"Do you think father would let you sneak into the pits and watch?"
"Why, do you think to sneak with me?" She brightens.
"Hm, perhaps I might be in the mood to see a rabble," you sigh as you pass through the low gate, sheep chewing lazily at the long grass, "but you should be more concerned if pa would let us."
"Pa loves the king," she huffs, "so why wouldn't he?"
"I hear things of the king's friend he mightn't be so fond of," you turn your hand up, "but I cannot say if they are more than rumours. If father allows it, I will go, if only to keep you in hand."
"Claim whatever you like," she chimes, "but I can see you are as curious as I to see the knights."
You grumble and give her no further words. There is more to worry about than jousts or showy combat, the event will be no more than a speck in the dull eye of any peasant.
⚔️
Your father mulls his decision despite Delia's impatience. Your mother leaves it to him, offering no word against or for, but you see the concern in her eye. Delia has always been careless and bit impulsive.
Your shared straw mattress is restless as your sister tosses and turns, babbling about how she might convince your father. Despite your pleas that she sleep and not worry so much, she does not cease. Each time you are close to dozing, she grabs your arms and wakes you for another ramble.
"Del," you sit up and shake her off at last, "whatever father decides, no amount of shearing or sweeping will matter to him. It is on his shoulders now, let it rest there... and let me sleep!"
"Oh, but I cannot stop thinking and imagining it all. What if I was to meet a knight and he were to see me and--"
"Rats, Delia, rats! You drive me mad!" You push yourself to your knees and groan as you get your feet under you and stand, "I would rather sleep on the silt."
"You don't think it could happen?" She bats her lashes.
"Tell me, sister, which knight would fall so fervently for a sheep's minder? Hmm? If that is the reason you seek permission, I will not be your comfort when it does not happen. You've cost me enough sleep as it were."
"Oh, you always were so dire," she falls back and drapes her arm over her face, "fine, go sleep with the sheep. See if I care."
You roll your eyes but let her to her wallowing, alone. You hardly think it'll keep her from chattering as you've caught her more than once at a dialogue with herself. You descend from the loft over the common space of your fathers house and tiptoe in the dark. You take your mother's heavy shawl from the hook by the door and shove your feet into a pair of leather clogs.
Restless, you know sleep is lost to you for some time, if not entirely. You curse your sister as you emerge into the damp residue of the evening's storm. You hear the waters off the coast, loudly ebbing and flowing, but not stirred by malice. The sea is as calm as it ever is in Storm's End.
You pass the pen and let yourself out the gate. The moon gleams over the water, reflection swirling in the mist. You follow the winding path down the hillside, soles gritting across the rocky shore. A chill stirs the tails of your sleeping shift and you hug the shawl closer as you look out at the water.
You find a place in the stony sand, just beyond the reach of the waves, and watch the sea. It is eerie to be there alone but peaceful. You take a handful of dirt and let it go, watching it cascade back over the ground. You stare up at the silver face off the moon and think.
How can Delia act as if all has changed and yet nothing has? The king and his men can hardly change the order of things, even with crown and title. No, every day is just as the one before and after. You can already hear your sister morning their departure and its insignificance.
You lay back in the sand as the noise of the water calms you. You close your eyes, knowing you should go back and sleep in the barn as Delia suggested. You don't, instead letting the night waft over you.
The sound doesn't disturb you at first. You think it's crabs or some creature scuttling, but then it grows louder, steady, heavy. You look over at the silhouette of a horse, it's rider glowing gold against the moon light.
You frown and stay flat to the ground. You watch with bated breath as he dismounts and lead the horse to the water. The salty foam is not fit to drink and the horse does not try. The man bends as he wiggles off his glove, dragging his fingers through the shallows.
You roll slowly, carefully, and lift yourself on hands and knees. You carefully begin to crawl towards the shadows of the hills. You hear the water and the sand, not daring to glance back at the soldier.
"You there," his deep voice carries over the coast, "halt."
You don't obey. Not at first. You go faster, hoping to evade him up the hillside where his horse can't go.
"In the name of the king, I said halt," he repeats.
That time, you must. Knowing he's a king's man, it would be next to treason to do otherwise. You hang your hand and sit back on your heels.
You turn as you hear his footfalls, his cape flapping in the wind as he nears. You watch with dread, knowing the gold silk can only mean one thing; king's guard. You can't wonder why he's there, more so detest that he is.
"My lord," you get to your feet and give a clumsy bow, "apologies, I was wandering--"
"Hiding," he stops and rests his hand on his pommel. He wears no armour, only tan leather to match the hue of his cloak, "and why's that?"
"No reason, lord, I did not mean to disturb so I was--"
"And if you are wandering," he interrupts, "why here? Where do you hale from? Some brothel or street corner?"
"N-no," you say stunned, "no, Ser, I am only sleepless."
He harrumphs and pushes his head back, "you peasants, so simple."
You swallow and stare at the high collar of his jacket. He's agitated as he shakes out his hand, only to once more grip his sword.
"I don't know how my brother finds you all so endearing," he mutters, his golden locks catching the moonlight as his square jaw is cast in shadow, "suppose it's more about what they give him for his coin."
"Ser, I am not a--"
"Course you aren't," he dismisses with a flick of his fingers, "what man would pay for you? I dare say my brother may even turn his nose up."
You furrow your brow and dip your head, "my lord. May I go now?"
"Where?"
"Home?" You reply, perplexed.
"And where's home?"
"My father's. He's a shepherd," you point up but without clear direction. You know this man, of his reputation. There is no other king's guard of the same cut. Jaime Lannister, the king slayer.
"Back to your sheep," he scoffs, "perhaps that is who my brother is paying for his lusts while I await him like some servant."
You clamp your mouth shut and shrug.
"Certainly, you wouldn't know. What do you know?" He waves his hand and turns away, "fine, go home to your father and his sheep."
"My lord," you keep your head down and spin on your heel.
She noise of steel on leather sounds as he unsheaths his sword and you stop. The tip of the blade rests on your shoulder, a good and dangerous weight.
"You know who I am?" He asks and you nod. "And you know what I've done?" Another nod, "so you have the sense not to speak of this encounter?"
"My lord," you whisper.
He pulls the blade off your shoulder and lets the tip brush along the shawl, "very well."
You don't move until you hear him stride away. He laughs to himself, his voice echoing up into the sky as a distant rumble rolls over the sky, as if to join in. You scurry up the sand, back to the path, without looking back.
Who would think to meet a Lion of Lannister down in the sands? Certainly not you. And you daren't mention it to Delia for fear of stoking her hopes. Even if she were to meet some knight, you doubt him to be any better.
⚔️
It's the same old answer. 'You may go, if your sister does.' While you agreed to the outing prior, it does not make that statement any less edged. As always, you are you sister's keeper, tasked with being a chaperone, rather than companion.
Delia nearly squeals at the circumstantial acquiescence. You thought your father would refuse and had no intent of truly watching the men pretend at battle. Still, your sister is not entirely incorrect. It is like an experience that will not come twice.
The frenzy that seems contagious spreads beyond your household. The other farmer, the merchants, even the beggars are alight with anticipation. Your own is restrained only by the memory of that peculiar night, the encounter with the king's guard which you could hardly believe was more than a dream. Perhaps it was. You don't worry either way as he would be unlikely to recall a commoner, nor to meet you again amid the hordes of unwashed.
You let the thought fade into the monotony of your daily toil, all as Delia is agog in her fantasies. She tells you aloud how she will meet a fair knight and no longer be the shepherd's daughter. You withhold your cynicism as you sweep what she's left untouched by her own broom.
You long for when she no longer is distracted by her fanciful delusions and so you count down with her to the first day of the tournament. She wears a yellow dress with a braided belt, her nicest, and you pull on your usual undyed cotton, beige and unremarkable. Amid the crush of the crowd, you expect to be muddied up, though she believes she will be a shining star amid the miniscule.
You follow the train of peasantry, old, young, and in between, along the winding streets and past the silken tents erected for the knights and their squires. You can't help but marvel at the blowing banners of houses, dyed in every colour and shade. Horses nick impatiently and servants run between canvas and wood at their duties.
The stands are made of thick logs, to be destroyed upon the departure of the royal party. A waste like anything else the rich indulge in. You don't think much on it, it isn't your trouble to worry for.
As you stream into the crowded pits, the shouts of vendors erupt, selling pies and watered-down ale, as the higher rows fill with nobles and merchants, dressed in bright tones and glittering jewels. The furor is deafening as bodies press together and push you to the limit of the pit.
"Oh, there are so many," Delia groans and you hold onto her arm, afraid to lose her.
"I told you--"
"Oh, you always tell me," she fans herself with her hand, "must you always be so right?"
You tilt your head wryly but say nothing. If you had, it would've been smothered by the blare of the trumpets. The horns are joined by beating drums and plucking strings, all before the crier announces the arrival of the king, to sit in his box to watch the entertainment. Too old and fat to sit a horse himself. Too vaunted to lift his hammer against blade.
Delia latches onto you and shakes you as she cheers, trying to see over the masses to the distant dot of the king as he waves to his subjects. You hardly feel beholden to him. So lowly that you doubt you have any effect upon him or him you.
A figure beside him, slender, tall, with golden hair to her waist, mirrors him in his greeting. His wife, Cersei Lannister, plays her part gracefully. There are two others, to either side, golden and still. King's Guard, though you cannot make out which.
"Can you believe it, sister?" Delia breathes in her ear, "we're really here."
You smile at her. She is happy then and you won't spoil it. Even if after you will have to live in her disillusionment.
⚔️
Delia loses you in the rush to disband from the pit. The prospect of free ale at the expense of the crown has the people thirsty and thoughtless. You’re nearly trampled as you lose sight of your sister, swept up in the futile flow of the swarm.
Finally, you come into open air, breaking free and turning to watch the train of spectators. You don’t see Delia, only the blend of bodies moving across the grasses, sandals, clogs, and boots crushing the wet grass. The tumult of the tournament lingers, booming in voices and jostling with playful punches and nudges.
You feel lost and a bit scared. She can find her way home and likely will but what if she wanders too far? You’re both full grown but that doesn’t make it any less dangerous. Drunkenness is hardly a parent of good behaviour.
You wait until much of the flock are in the tents before you follow. Outside, you hear horns and laughter from those tents further down, those reserved for nobility. There are those who mill about, covetous of the event, soldiers with sword on hips but eyes on cups.
You enter to the ribaldry, the flow of foam topping bone cups. You walk the parameter, dodging out of the way of fellow celebrants, searching, sweeping over every step. If Delia is there, you cannot find her.
The heat within the canvas grows stolid and sweat mingles with humidity to coat your skin. You elbow your way to the long flap and let yourself out into the evening. The darkness descends as the moon rises to its apex. The day has run by like a river.
You peer down the rows of tents, horses tied at posts and torches stuck into the dirt. You could wait there until she is forced out. It could be hours but it may be the best way.
You resign yourself to the tedium but a trill tweaks your ear. You tilt your head and listen. Hushed voices float in the air. There’s some rustling as you follow the noise, a sudden shriek shaking you.
Your heart lodges in your throat and you look around. Shadows pace lazily between tents, soldiers making their watch heedlessly. They do not seem to hear the shout. Another rises and you race past the ten without a thought. You know it’s Delia, she screams like that when she sees caterpillars in the house.
“Come on, girlie, just a taste,” the gritty voice growls, “stop squirming, eh? Pull your skirts up.”
You stop short as you see their silhouettes, skin pricking, head buzzing. The golden arm glints in the moonlight. What do you do? A soldier, a King’s Guard of all people, it is a crime to even challenge him, yet he is groping and grabbing at Delia. Was he not sworn to protect the king and abstain from all else?
Before you can find your voice, a light flickers from behind you. Footsteps near and a throat clears.
“Trant,” the deep timbre cuts through Delia’s whimpers, trapped behind the guard’s gauntlet, “are you truly going to do all this with a witness?”
The man, Trant, releases your sister and she falls to the ground as he squints as Ser Jaime. You step aside as he holds up the torch in his hand. His lips are crooked in a half-smirk.
“At least take her in a tent,” Jaime scoffs.
Trant chuckles and bends to grab Delia by the nape of her neck, “get up, wench.”
“Wai–” you lunge forward and Lannister stops you with an arm.
“Move another step and I’ll have him throw her in the sea,” he sneers.
“Please, ser, she is my sister–”
“I don’t care if she’s the Maiden herself,” he turns and shoves you as your sister squeals and kicks as she’s tossed over the other knight’s shoulder.
“Why–”
“You ask me questions, peasant?” He grabs your arm and shakes you, “how fate must delight in our meeting again. I believe it is a sign from the Seven, don’t you?”
You stammer and shake him off. He hisses and reaches for his pommel. You stumble, nearly bowled over by the venom in the noise.
“You think highly of yourself, like a queen,” he grips the sword, “that I, a knighted King’s Guard, dare touch you…” he closes the gap and grabs you by the chin, thrusting you close, “I could run you through and leave you for the crows to find. And who would care?”
You gulp and stare up at him, the dim grey of the night consumes you as he blocks out the moon.
“But what am I to do? The king is in his cups and shall have his queen, whether she wishes it or not. My brother has his whores, rented in gold, and I…” he inhales, “what do I have?”
You murmur, nonsensical as your fingers brush his sleeve. He tuts and throws you away from him.
“Don’t think yourself so special,” he snarls, “bend over.”
You stagger and face him, a quiver rattles your breath. He slides the steel slowly up from the sheath.
“Did I not give you an order?” he rasps as the metal shines in the silver moonlight. “Turn around and bend over.”
You wince and blink as your eyes burn. You move stiffly, your body resisting your mind. As you bring your back to him, he grips the back of your neck and pushes you down, nearly slamming you to your stomach before you can get your foot out to keep off the ground. You whimper as he pinches you meanly.
“This is what I hate about you peasants. You have nothing. You are nothing and you come and get your fill and go back to your sheep and your shit,” he drags his hand down your spine and tugs the top of your skirt, raising the hem as he gathers the layers into a bundle above your rear, “you don’t know what it is to matter… how absolutely miserable it is.”
He pulls his hand away and smacks your bare ass. You gasp and hear the steel against the leather as he frees it completely. You shut your eyes, is this how it happens. You wait for the sword to descend, for the pitiful execution in the muddy grass.
He steps behind you as you brace your knees. He tisks and presses the cold pommel of his sword to your bottom. He slides it across and down between your cheeks. You shiver, uncertain, as he reaches your folds.
He pushes against you. The hard round end strains against your tight entrance. He frames your hip with his hand and leans more weight into you. The metal stretches you, strangling a gurgle from your lips. The bulbous end slips past the last of your resistance as your thighs quake.
“You think you’re worth my cock?” He scoffs, “no, no, I am a man of the sword.”
He wiggles the sword and inches in further inside, the rough leather-bound handle scrapes against your walls. Tears trickle down, born of shame and pain, and the jams in the last of the pommel. He eases it back as you catch your breath, only to ram it back in.
Your pelvis rings with the force and you reach a hand to the ground to hold yourself upright. Your fingers graze the dirt as he thrusts again.
He fucks you with pommel, jolting you with each violent intrusion. Your tears well up and flow free, sobs hiccuped through your tight throat. You can barely keep afoot, barely think as he desecrates you. You throb and ache around the thick handgrip.
He stops abruptly and his hand crawls down from your hip to pinch your ass. He chuckles and bends over you, breathing down your neck.
“I had a funny thought,” he taunts, “as this is no man’s cock, though I must say it is as great as that weapon sheathed in my trousers, does that mean you are still virginal? Or perhaps you may claim you’ve been deflowered by The Warrior himself.”
He clicks his tongue and shoves the pommel deep, until your legs fold and he follows you down, descending to his knees as he keeps it buried inside you. You hide your face in the dirt as you wail, the vibrant clamour from within the tents drowning your cries.
“Say what you will, but you will never forget the King’s Slayer’s blade, will you, wench?”

Do tb incels pretend that criston is the only one got away with murder ???
Da*mon murdered his wife the lady of runestone and one of the vale vessels ladies
In books rhaen*yra and da*mon kill laenor and his parents didn't care about his murder !?
This definitely comes down to the writers deciding to add elements without actually changing anything around them.
Them writing Rhaenyra saying that people will believe her and Daemon killed Laenor but then never having anyone act like she and Daemon killed Laenor is such poor writing! For the book it’s a little more excusable because Laenor’s death could have been due to Qarl Correy, part of a larger plot from Rhaenyra and Daemon, or another person wanting him dead. It’s still weird for Corlys and Rhaenys to not be suspicious of Rhaenyra and Daemon after both their kids die and their spouses get together but Corlys is on some pretty strong copium and Rhaenys is toiling in service of her man.
Same with them rewriting Jeoffrey’s death from a tourney accident to murder with a giant audience but then never explaining or addressing how he got out of it is just so bad. The audience shouldn’t have to leave this up to interpretation!
HotD’s main flaw has and will probably always be the writing. It feels like a first draft was written then given to multiple people to edit without letting them communicate then having each scene use a different script. Plot threads, character motivations, and even time gets so jumbled up that it’s a miracle this show is still watchable and not a complete confusing mess. The writers needed to sit down, confirm character motivations and how they change over the 20+ years, then get a script together that actually follows through with each plot point.
Oh and Rhea Royce’s death being dropped after her cousin confronts Daemon for like two seconds is such a shame! They better bring her back up in season two when Jace meets with Jane Arryn. A rock to the head looks a lot different from a broken neck.

Hamefura Pokémon AU
This is an idea I have been working for a long while. It was inspired by @dulcito-on-ao3 ‘s fanfic Cute and Fluffy! and @logo-comics Fortune Lover Pokémon DLC prompt.
This crossover is an AU where Fortune Lover was an otome game/pókemon game fusion. Maybe something like Scarlet and Violet where the protagonist goes to the Academy and you can choose one of several storylines to follow. The events of FL 2 could be added to beef up the plot.
Here are some important notes:
Edit: @famousnintendopokemonlamp made a point that it’s odd for Eevee to only bond with mages. I changed that and made it so that they are just rare in the wild.
Edit 2: Switched Sandslash in Keith’s Team for Phanpy since I thought it fitted him better. Added Fidough to Maria’s Team.
Edit 3: Mary’s Tropius is a gift from Alan.
After discussing it with @dulcito-on-ao3 I decided that the setting will be modern but still retaining the noble society elements. Meaning that Sorcier is still a kingdom with nobility but they have access to modern technology like Pokédex’s, Rotom Phones, etc.
The Pokémon take the place of Magical Creatures. Normal animals still exist in this world because I don’t want the implication that humans eat Pokémon.
While Pokémon exist all over this world, they are most common in the Kingdom of Sorcier. Researchers think it’s because Sorcier has more magic than anywhere else so Pokémon are attracted to it - because they are Magical Creatures in this setting.
While magic is still mainly found on nobles, both nobles and commoners can become Pokémon Trainers. But, Pokémon Trained by mages are usually stronger than those Trained by non-mages, especially those Pokémon with typing that are compatible with their Trainer’s magic.
Mages whose Magic Element is compatible to a Pokémon typing can boost the power that Pokémon with their magic.
Eevee is a special Pokémon in Sorcier as they are very rare in the wild, so dedicated breeders exist. Even amongst nobles they are uncommon and are often a regarded as a symbol of great status, especially if they are evolved. The characters who have one are:
Katarina Claes - Shiny Eevee that later evolves into a Shiny Umbreon. Was a gift from her father.
Maria Campbell - regular Eevee that later evolves into an Espeon. By chance she found a wild Eevee and befriended it.
The Princes - Gerald (a small and fluffy Flareon); Alan (a Glaceon): Ian (an Espeon); Geoffrey (a large Vaporeon)
Selena Burke - shy Eevee wearing an Everstone but later gains confidence and evolves into a Sylveon.
Noelia Flores - a Flareon. One of her few evolved Pokémon.
Katarina’s Pokémon know about her past life and support her on her plans to avoid doom.
Katarina remembering her past life is part of a plan that the Legendary Pokémon Ho-oh and Celebi came up with.
Almost all of Katarina’s Pokémon are Shiny. The in-game explanation was to show how privileged and spoiled Villainess Katarina was by having a team consisting of rare Shiny Pokémon.
The Pokémon League equivalent is called The Pokémon Tourney. It was originally exclusive to nobles but for the last 100 years, commoners have been allowed to participate.
Trainers must be at least 15 years old to participate.
To qualify, they need to earn at least eight Honours (aka Badges) by battling against the Arena Champions, the ‘Gym Leaders’ of this setting (Arena Champion comes from Champion/Championne d'Arène, the French term used for Gym Leaders).
The Evil Team is called Team Dark. Members include Marchioness Dieke, Sora (later deserted), and Sarah. Team Dark seeks conquer Sorcier and use Pokémon to rule the world. Most members use Dark Type Pokémon.
This AU is GeoKata endgame, at least with how I’m writing it.
Here are the main Pokémon Teams of the main characters:
Katarina Claes
Shiny Eevee/Shiny Umbreon ♂ (Nickname: Biscuit) - starter/first Pokémon; he evolved into Umbreon after Katarina awakened from her Dark Magic coma.
Shiny Ekans/Shiny Arbok (Nickname: Noodle) - found it injured in her field and nursed to health; represents Katarina’s toy snakes.
Shiny Pumpkaboo/Shiny Gourgeist (Nickname: Pumpkin) - found in the woods near the Royal Villa; represents Katarina’s farming.
Shiny Pawniard/Shiny Bisharp (Nickname: Blue) - gifted by Gerald on her 16th birthday; represents Katarina’s sword fighting.
Poochyena (Nickname: Pochi) - found during the Keith’s Kidnapping equivalent event. This Poochyena has darker fur than a regular Poochyena, being almost black; it is the result of Team Dark’s experiments to empower Dark Type Pokémon; similar to a Shadow Pokémon but without “the door to it’s heart” closed. It represents Katarina’s Dark Magic and canon Pochi.
Absol (Nickname: Vanilla) - found during the equivalent of the mission where Sarah has a Dragon Dark Familiar; represents Katarina’s “knowledge of future events and desire to prevent her doom.
Other Pokémon Katarina has are: Shiny Galarian Yamask found in the ruins used for the practical exam; Shiny Flygon found as a Trapinch during a visit to the Adeth Duchy.
Gerald Stuart
Flareon ♀ (Nickname: Fluffy) - starterfirst Pokémon; smaller and fluffier than the average Flareon, making it extremely cute; knows Scary Face. Represent show Geordo looks like a handsome fairy tale prince but has a hidden, sadistic/scary side.
Bisharp - a knight Pokémon to protect royalty
Aegislash - in reference to Gerald using a sword
Charizard - I thought it would be cool if Gerald rode on this Pokémon.
Litleo - a birthday gift from Katarina; lions are a symbol of royalty
Tyrantrum - another royal Pokémon; red body with golden crest match Gerald's colors
Keith Claes
Tyranitar - starter; originally a Larvitar he befriended before being adopted by the Claes; small Pokémon that grows big and powerful, like how Keith was a timid kid that grew confident
Cottonee - Something small and cute because Keith is so precious
Golurk - a reference to Keith's Earth golems
Garchomp - caught as a Gible during a visit to the Adeth Duchy; a connection with Millidiana who has Dragon-Types
Bonsly/Sudowoodo  - another tiny cutie; it grows tall and lanky and looks like a Grass-Type, referencing how Keith helps Katarina with her farm
Phanpy/Donphan - yet another tiny cutie that grows into a powerful Pokémon
Mary Hunt
Lilligant - starter/first Pokémon; an elegant Pokémon and it even wears a flower on its head like Mary
Roserade - another elegant Pokémon
Vespiquen - because Mary is like a queen, plus it is good for her plants
Meganium - another good Pokémon to have in a garden since its breath can revive plants
Tropius - a gift from Alan. I just added this one because it grows fruit on its neck.
Serperior - another regal Pokémon; I think Mary would get a Snivy in response to Katarina getting her Ekans
Alan Stuart
Glaceon ♂ (Nickname: Gliss) - starter/first Pokémon; he chooses to evolve his Eevee into a Glaceon instead of a Vaporeon to stand out.
Gyarados - originally a Magikarp represents how Alan went from feeling inferior to Geordo to finding his strengths.
Lapras - it sings enchanting melodies.
Primarina - a birthday gift from Mary; another Pokémon that sings
Kricketune - another musical Pokémon
Shiny Tyrantrum - a royal Pokémon; the shiny is blue with a silver crest, so the colors match Alan.
Sophia Ascart
Gardevoir - starter/first Pokémon; it has red eyes like Sophia, and it's part Fairy-type representing Sophia’s dream of being a fairy.
Shiny Phantump - red-and-white colors
White Flower Flabebe - white color matches her hair
Togetic - white color; part Flying-type to match her Wind Magic
Clefairy - another fairy; people say this Pokemon came from the moon so it connects to Sophia being a reincarnation from “out of this [Sorcier] world”
Galarian Ponyta/Rapidash - it’s an unicorn! What kind of girl who loves stories wouldn’t want an Unicorn?
Nicol Ascart
Swanna - starter/first Pokémon - swans are beautiful but dangerous; Nicol is gorgeous, and I headcanon that you don't want to make him angry
Noctowl - represents how smart he is
Corviknight - dark plumage like how Nicol has dark hair
Chatot - ironic because Nicol is a quiet person
Liepard - in reference to the dream of being a cat
Shinx -  because Nicol dealing with an energetic kitty is funny
I also have this funny idea that Nicol has several other cat Pokémon
Maria Campbell
Sylveon ♀ (Nickname: Caramel) - starter/first Pokémon; wild Pokémon that bonded with her after she discovered her magic. Fairy-Type is the closest thing to Light. (It was originally an Espeon due to it being Umbreon’s counterpart).
Teddiursa (Nickname: Alexander) - meet during Keith’s Kidnapping equivalent event; represent canon Alexander
Audino - a Pokémon used by healers
Pikachu - Maria is the protagonist of FL, like how Ash is Pokémon's
Alcremie (Ruby Cream form) - represents Maria's baking skills; Ruby Cream form because pink is Maria’s color.
Fidough - another representation of Maria’s baking skills, this time bread instead of sweets.
Raphael Walt/Sirius Dieke
Shuppet (Nickname: Orion) - starter/first Pokémon; it was Sirius' Pokémon initially; it knows what happened and bonded with Raphael because it saw how sad and lonely he was. It absorbs negative emotions so it would try to help Raphael.
Phantump - may or may not be the original Sirius Dieke; has some unusual coloration: red leaves and gray eyes.
Sableye - A Dark/Ghost Type to match his Dark magic and how a vengeful spirit possesses him
Mismagius - the spirit of Raphael's mother; has unusual coloring: red accents and gray eyes
Polteageist (Antique Form) - represent his love of tea
Cofagrigus - Dark Mage that killed his mother reborn as this Pokémon

Since I'm talking about Suspension of Disbelief today apparently, here's a problem that took me a long time to articulate correctly that I have with worldbuilding.
Example A (D?) is Vampire Hunter D. I liked the movies, enjoyed much of the manga, so I picked up the books, hoping for more information. However, I finally gave up on the books (after the volume that the Bloodlust film is based on). Part of this is because the story, which I'd really enjoyed the movie of but had some problems with, wasn't better in book form. It was actually worse in some ways - particularly how I found out that Charlotte's name was either added by the movie staff or not translated in book form. She was just called "the girl" for the entire volume.
But while that was the main reason I gave up on reading the series, it wasn't the only one. Vampire Hunter D has a setting that I'm interested in, a bleak post-apoc fantasy future that intrigues me, and a certain level of angst that I generally enjoy.
But it also had a major, ongoing worldbuilding problem (for me), and that was that the story didn't merely follow the protagonist, it only followed the protagonist. All worldbuilding elements tended to be about how bleak and unbearable the future was, with a handful of technological advancements. The world itself was only interesting when D was present and interacting with it, even though it had a lot of elements that would make for a world I would usually enjoy! From a fan creation standpoint, it was very difficult for me to workshop fic for the series, because the world was only really 'real' when D was Being The Protagonist at it.
He was the only one allowed to solve problems, to fix issues, to kill vampires most of the time. And while I liked him well enough, his personality and motivations are vague enough that he really cannot carry the series on force of personality alone, in my own opinion. VHD isn't a bad series, necessarily, but it was one I couldn't engage with past a certain point.
And to be clear, this post is not about me slamming this series. It had a lot of interesting things I enjoyed, and the Bloodlust movie in particular is still appealing to me, even with its weird moments. This is just about how narrative and worldbuilding work, and VHD is an example that I can articulate my problems with. It's especially frustrating to me because the series has so much potential appeal, but I just can't get any further into it.
Now, my counterpoints. For some reason anime is on the brain, so let's bring up Helck, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Frieren: At Journey's End.
All three of these series, in some respect, avoid the problem I had with VHD. Helck is especially interesting as a comparison, because it also has a Specialest Boy In The World protagonist... but the thrust of the series is partly about how just being obscenely strong and competent doesn't mean he's undeserving of help, and that help changes the trajectory of his story in a very positive way.
But one of the fun things about Helck is the side stories and side characters. There's a gag a few times involving a series of characters that are experiencing their Hot-Blooded Shonen Cooking Manga storyline, completely divorced from the dramatic stakes of Helck's core story. Helck and Vamirio even butt into their story for a cooking competition chapter, which is hilarious. And we sometimes see characters like this interacting with side characters from other arcs, in ways that don't refer to Helck or Vamirio or Piwi at all. Further, we see side characters like the Demon King Tourney participants doing things like making new friends, fighting against the antagonists and getting stronger, and writing the empire-famous manga that Asuta loves. Over and over, Helck as a story acknowledges a very wide world that isn't directly involved in much of the core story, yet when the protagonists interact with it, doing so affects them, changing their ideals and widening their viewpoints.
FMA does hinge a little more on Ed's journey, but many of the characters doing things he precipitated had never actually met him. And what's important to that story in particular is stuff like the epilogue with Al traveling with the chimeras, and things of that nature - of Ed and Al over and over displaying compassion to the point that it changed people's lives. The protagonists are important, yes, but the world is repeatedly shown to go on without them, even during core story moments, because the world is full of strong (even, at times, stronger than the protags) characters with complex personalities and motivations.
Frieren is a little less so, probably since her journey with Himmel was extremely important on a social level even now, but characters, trends, and locations are typically fleshed out to the point where it doesn't feel like the Special Protagonists have to Exist At Them for things to happen. Soul Track being broken down and integrated into basic offense magic could have been something Frieren did, so I like that it's something humans did on their own, completely divorced from her interference past the initial binding point. Actually, a theme of the series as a whole is Frieren being ancient and knowledgeable and yet, willingly and willfully, learning from humans and the world around her more and more.
Lastly, a non-anime example, is how Sir Terry deliberately wrote Ankh-Morpork in a way that it could feasibly exist outside of the immediate tracks of a story. He succeeded to the point that virtually every location and character in the Disc could be transplanted alone into a completely new story and still be recognizable. I could, and would, read a story that takes place in Ankh-Morpork that namedrops not one known character and still feel like it fits, like it's vibrant, like it's alive. You could tell me that Granny Weatherwax dismantled a cult of people who thought the Disc rested atop the backs of pigs as an aside in a book not at all about her, and I could go "yeah that sounds like her" and move on.
I've heard it mentioned in DnD terms, the idea that one should account for players not doing as expected and ignoring a major plot point, and what should happen if they do. In BG3, if you take too many Rests, an inn fire will burn down and kill everyone trapped in the building that you could have saved, which will have some effects on the quest(s) you get at that location. FNV had "hunting ghosts in Baja" that I really respect, the idea that not only is there a wider world out there, but that it understandably doesn't really care what one person, no matter how Special, is doing in a distant place, because they have their own problems to attend to.
I don't know if there's a particular phrase for this idea that I'm missing, and to be fair, there are plenty of times where it is okay for the story to revolve around the protagonist! it's often plenty fine and enjoyable to watch the Specialest Person In The World fix everything! But sometimes, worldbuilding that doesn't account for the protagonist not existing can fall so flat that it makes it hard, even impossible, to continue enjoying the rest of the work.
I guess that's it - whether creators consider how to answer the question of "if so-and-so didn't exist, what impact would it have on the world?" and how they choose to answer that.

I know I asked this awhile ago, but that was right after submissions had closed, so a lot more people have their eyes on this blog since then.
So what I am asking is...
(Also might ask this again when the tournament is over, but idk)

Show!Criston is Dornish. In the first episode, there’s a scene where he takes off his helmet at the tourney and Alicent has this almost horrorstruck expression and exclaims “he’s Dornish” while she and Rhaenyra are gossiping. Since Dorne is not a part of Westeros at this point, it’s meant to be viewed as unusual that a Dornishman showed up to a Westerosi tourney.
*EDITED POST* (12/12/23)
Anon refers to this post.
Look, this is why I don't care for this show aside from the larger criticisms about it's racism, sexism, etc. Claims of either/both "The text of Fire and Blood is unreliable so I won't think of researching the lore" and "I will use what I 'remember' of the lore to make my own story". If we are really doing the "these are two canons" nonsense, this is why I say you cannot look to HotD for accuracy or telling you what the ASoIaF lore is. Because I went back to look at three separate scripts for episode 1, and this anon is correct that Alicent calls him Dornish as soon as she sees him (more at end).
The show leads us to think he is Dornish because he says in episode 2 that he is from the Dornish Marches, whose inhabitants are marchers and if you didn't know your ASoIaF lore, you wouldn't know that the Dornish Marches are not considered Dornish territory at all. Those who live in the marches are called "marchers". Marchers and the Dornish have fought each other for centuries and really hate each other.
And yet the "Narrator" section of a episode 1 script online that I've found calls Criston a "Dornish" knight, so in the show, Criston seems like he's supposed to be Dornish. However, in all the scripts for episode 2 AND while watching the episode, it's made clear that Criston comes from the castle Blackhaven, which is not in Dorne! Until GRRM comes out with new information or someone provides proof that Criston or his father emigrated from Dorne, Criston is supposed to be a Stormlander and a Stoemland marcher at that, even in the show.
There was a time when I thought Criston was Dornish in the original story--would have identified as such--until I went back and researched.
Unofficial(?) Episode 1' script's Narrator Portion (SOURCE):
During old king Jaehaerys Targaryen’s reign, tragedies took his sons’ lives, leaving the succession undecided. A Great Council convenes to choose Westeros’ future ruler. Jaehaerys’ grandchildren, Princess Rhaenys Targaryen and Prince Viserys Targaryen (Rhaenys’ younger cousin) are the candidates. Westerosi law gives a male heir precedence over a female, regardless their birth order and Viserys is chosen. Nine years into King Visery I’s reign, the Triarchy, an alliance formed by the free cities of Essos, threatens the kingdom, wanting to seize the Stepstones region. Viserys must also restrain his brother Daemon’s brutality as the City Watch commander in King’s Landing. Viserys, certain that pregnant Queen Aemma will bear him a son, holds a tournament to celebrate the impending birth. During the event, Dornish knight, Ser Criston Cole defeats Daemon in a competition while Queen Aemma and her son die in childbirth. The Hand of the King, Ser Otto Hightower, proposes that Viserys’ only living child, the young princess Rhaenyra, be named heir to the Iron Throne. After a dispute with Daemon, Viserys proclaims Rhaenyra as the next ruler.
Possible that this was just a draft, as the officially released script for the pilot episode shows only Alicent calling him Dornish and no mention of his actual heritage. (SOURCE)
It's possible that the writers tried to show, through Alicent's pointing Criston out, that his looks lend to "outsider" and thus a sort of racial or ethnic pressure (or plain xenophobia) in his characterization. Show!Alicent could, in the universe, just mistake him for Dornish because he looks like their idea of Dornish.
However nothing follows up here to build from that element into his actions and how people treat him later on, and if it's not on screen nor even something the characters themselves hint, use, etc, it doesn't exist in the story's universe.

My general thoughts on episode 1
Since it was announced they were doing an adaptation of the Dance, I’ve been wondering how this episode would go. Given how season 8 ended, and the unlikeability of some of the main characters of the Dance, I’ve been rather skeptical of the eventual quality of this show.
To my surprise, I actually liked this episode.
Daemon was played by Matt Smith to perfection. It feels very in character for Daemon to do something as audacious (and borderline treasonous) as to sit on the Iron Throne. They didn’t shy away from the unpleasant elements to him; his blatant disrespect to his wife (poor Rhea), the brutal crackdown on King’s Landing, the infamous Heir for a Day comment, which was a pleasant surprise.
Note: while it seems to be left off screen to create some doubt as to whether Daemon said it or not, his comment about not being so easily replaced by Viserys and the council is rather damning in my mind. I have a hard time imagining his toast to Prince Baelon was sincere after that.
Otto was great as well. He’s not quite a Tywin type where his disdain for the king is blatantly transparent, but you really get the sense in his 10 years as Hand of the King to Viserys, he’s gotten quite confident on speaking with the king’s voice. I imagine Viserys was quite happy to leave the boring stuff to him, but I can definitely see how Daemon would resent competing with Otto for his brother’s attention. Definitely one of my favorite characters for this episode.
Paddy fit well as Viserys. His quipping about worrying about dead pirates when Corlys was outlining why they should be concerned about the Triarchy was very in character - he’d rather be hosting a tourney, or spending time on his carvings. He has a soft spot for his brother that causes him to excuse a lot of the things he does, but when he gets truly angry the venom in his voice comes out.
Note: Viserys, either be a better ruler or start wearing armor on the throne, because you’re not gonna have a lot of untouched skin left.
Couple of other notes:
Loved the dragonkeepers speaking High Valyrian to the dragons.
Corlys putting forth his wife as a possible heir was great. It’s obviously a long shot (her claim was dismissed already), but he’s trying regardless to champion her claim.
The dynamic between Rhaenyra and Daemon is... interesting, to say the least. I think we’re going to get a very angry Viserys again...
That birth scene... eugh. I’ve watched all of Game of Thrones, and I don’t think I’ve been as uncomfortable as watching that. Aemma’s confusion turning to sharp terror, Viserys assuring her instead of telling her the truth, the scene ending just as Baelon started to have difficulty breathing... if their goal was to freak people out, they did it.
Probably a lot I’ve left out, but it’s getting late. Might post a more detailed post tomorrow.

GRR media adventures: A Squire’s Tale
Tumblr media
The GRR elements:
You are a young squire, and your knight/mentor is Lady Catherine D’Arundel. I’m pretty sure she’s older than the MC. She’s a skilled, honourable fighter and has no qualms about taking the lead or asserting herself.
You can play as a non-combatant squire, focusing on music and falconry rather than the art of battle. Let your lady do all the fighting and protecting #feminism
Even though the story makes it out to be a forbidden relationship, it feels like Catherine is the only romance that makes sense. You meet other potential romances, but it’s kind of hard to believe that they become your true love after essentially one adventure, whereas at least you and your knight have known each other for a while.
Despite the prose using "men" to refer to other soldiers, you do fight the occasional female opponent, and it’s treated as an ordinary thing rather than highlighted in the story.
I wish we got to romance the prince (and that, you know, we got to know him as an actual character rather than a plot device). The knight rescues a prince(ss) trope is a classic for a reason.
Also kind of wish we got to know more about Rose, the other female knight you meet at a feast.
This scene 😳😳
Tumblr media
If this got you excited to buy the game, sorry to say but romance plays a small role in the story. Better for me to be honest than to disappoint. You do get small moments here and there but not much else. At one point you even have to choose between dancing with your lover or spending the night with them.
Other notes:
The setting is Middle Ages England and all that implies, be it historical figures, fashion, locations, even concepts like the land of Cockaigne. Your character is a member of the Dacre, a real noble family.
The story seems to expect you to have some background knowledge as there is little explanation about said setting, whether diegetic or on the stats screen. You are thrown into the plot straight away--no prior interactions with major characters or learning about the world as you go about your squire-ly business. This hinders the reader’s investment in the story and the people involved. It’s hard to care about the quest the king gave you to find the kidnapped prince when you have never interacted with them, and have no sense of their personality or influence in court.
For positives, the characters actually talk like they live in a medieval society. You’re offered the exciting parts of knighthood: fights, a tourney, supernatural encounters.
The story is short and mostly stays the same plot-wise, like many CoG-style games. “Interactive-ness” is mostly about your choice of skills and companions/romance.
Verdict: A diverting enough read. Probably buy on sale.

what do you think about lyanna stark?
Short answer is that I roll my eyes like Cersei, as in "not this fucking girl again".
Long answer is that I can't get a proper feel on Lyanna as a character because we are missing vital information about her. I am SO curious about a lot of things that happened surrounding her, but as far as her personality is concerned I'm kind of .... whelmed? Not over-, not under-... she is just there, IDK. On the one hand, I get the Mary Sue vibes that make me want to roll my eyes as above, but, on the other hand, I know I'm being a little mean and her story is more complex than that.
She is the third child out of four. 14/15-year-old Lyanna has received enough training that she is able to scare off the three squires who were bullying Howland Reed and defeat them in a tourney under disguise (seriously? I am internally groaning just typing that out). She is so kind-hearted that she takes him in, knows how to take care of his wounds, is lively and spirited that she can withstand her brothers teasing her no problem, is moved by poetry enough that she cries at Rhaegar's sad song and is so beautiful and impressive that she catches the prince's eye and he becomes fixated on her.
Robert also has a life-long obsession with her, although, realistically-speaking, he must have seen her how many times in his life? She was so young during all of this, half a child herself. There's a creepy element to all of this. Despite her young age, the text makes a point in telling us how perceptive Lyanna was, since she did not consider Robert good husband material because of his philandering ways (she somehow already knows about his bastard daughter in the Vale). In some such way, she is more attuned to this than Ned, who was both older and knew Robert better.
But then there are so many questions that arise. Her problem was Robert's cheating, yet she "falls in love" and "runs away" with Rhaegar, a married man? How much of a willing participant was she in all this story? How much of Rhaegar's plans and knowledge of prophecy did he impart on her? In the TV adaptation, they show them getting married, but even so, that is a bullshit wedding since polygamy is outlawed in Westeros. How could such a ceremony be considered legal in these conditions? How could Jon not be a bastard? What freaking sellout Septon did Rhaegar conjure up in order to perform this? She is a Helen of Troy figure and her story with Rhaegar is often presented as a romance, but at a deeper glance, her relationship with him becomes very shady.
Ned is deeply traumatized by what happened to his sister, naturally, and regardless of her level of complicity, her story is a tragedy. Her father and her brother die horrific deaths trying to get her back, her other brother is in life-threatening danger because of the war her baby daddy / potential rapist started. She dies giving birth to Jon - the details are very blurry, it's hard to say whether she dies because she was too young to give birth or because she had other birth complications that could have occurred at any age or because she didn't receive proper medical care since she was so isolated. Did she even have a maester with her? Midwives? Staff? Ned's fever dreams make it seem like she was just with those three Kingsguard dudes. How did Rhaegar even convince these people, who are supposed to be honourable knights, to help him abscond with Lyanna and then keep her own brother from seeing her ON HER DEATHBED? Lord Commander Gerold Hightower, THE Sword of the Morning Arthur Dayne, whom Jaime idolizes - what happened here? How much of this information did Lyanna even have access to? Did she know what was happening with the war, with her family? I doubt she would have been okay with any of that.

Why would you put up Dante against Waver in the first round 😭
Look I understand, I love Dante too :(. But I seeded the brackets by assumed popularity in order to not get a hydrogen bomb vs. hydrogen bomb round one matchup situation and to have the tourney be naturally competitive. Imagine if I had Tamamo vs. Nitocris right at the start? That would probably result in boring landslide matchups afterword. That's the reason why the super (assumed) popular servants have easier matchups at the start while the others are more evenly matched or slightly uneven enough for upsets to be exciting.
As of now, Nzambi is actually ahead of Shakespeare who I pegged as the crowd favorite in that matchup. Odin is putting up a really good fight against Nero of all characters. Avicebron blew pass Helena from being at a big deficit. etc etc.
And it's not that I don't think Dante is popular but being a fanservant for a tumblr only event. Not everybody is going to know him but those that participated in Tgrailwar do. He is without a doubt a chaos element so it makes sense that he got the short end of the stick when I formed the brackets, sorry. Miracles can happen though. I've seen crazier upsets in tumblr polls before. There is a possibility that Dante can still beat Waver. Look at all the people cheering others into rooting for him as well. Its a uphill battle but the battle isn't over!

Hello hello! Your reverse au has pulled me into the deep end.
For one, are you planning on properly writing down this story as a fanfic? And if not would you be willing to let other write it? (With credit for the idea and au of course)
And two, I’m really curious about Wu in this timeline! Judging by the character designs and traits it seems that garmadon grew up fine without the poison or his oni/demon traits popping up until this point. So how did wu fair 👀 why is he fighting his son? And maybe how he adopted morro and a tidbit about morro and Lloyd’s relationship ☺️
I’m already brainrotting this like thinkin about how Nya would be her fathers assistant like Claus was to Chen while Kai infiltrates the tournament.
I know I’m rambling but speaking of, does Claus work at Chens restaurant? And are him and garmadon like brunch buddies? I can imagine all too well these two sitting down at like a Starbucks and talking about student shenanigans.
I KEEP GOING I CANT STOP- for the EMs in the tourney, would their whole characters be swapped or maybe just their personalities. Like this event was advertised as a friendly competition to find “who’s the best” and all the EMs are just like a collection of every day people who happen to have been training elemental powers.
I’ll stop now but I keep thinking about all the cool parallels and SIDJEKBANE SHUTTING UP NOW
Hi! Hi! Welcome to the pit! Thank you for sending this ask, it was really fun to answer!
For your first quesion: I do not currently have plans to write a Reverse!AU fic, I just don't have enough thought out story to write a proper fic yet. I may do bullet notes or oneshots at some point but not a full fic.
If anyone would like to write a fic of it I would be ELATED, please do not be afraid to do so, just @ me or something when you post it so I can see it! <3
Next! So my idea right now is the Spinjitzu brothers both took more to one of their halves, Garm is more Oni and Wu is more dragon. They both have traits from both but lean more to the side of one (Ex: Garm has gold eyes, Wu has red). Garm actually looks more Oni than he appears, he's just using his limited shapeshifting power to hide it as he doesn't like that part of himself.
When Wu and Garm were sparing and Wu's sword went over the wall Wu quickly went to get it and was bitten by the Great Devourer. However, due to his strong dragon blood, the venom was much slower to take effect, giving him a longer normal life and more of a chance to bond with his family.
Living with Lloyd and watching him grow up made Wu realise that even if it wasn't with Misako he still wanted a child of his own to raise. So, he found an orphanage in a small village nearby and adopted little Morro when he was only a year and a half years old. He was good enough to stay with Morro and raise him for the first 6 years he was there and loved him very much, that love probably held the venom back even longer than his dragon blood did. For a couple months he showed many signs the venom was finally getting to him, but he never showed them around Morro. One day he finally snapped and got sent to the underworld for another 6 years before the Pilots. He was there plotting his revenge for most of that time as the evil grew more quickly in the absence of his family. He hadn't even considered Morro being involved in the fight but when he found out, well... he'd come too far to let his emotions stop him now, if worst came to worst he'd spare him, the venom wasn't strong enough to make him take his own son's life, right?
(Sorry this was so long lol, I have many thoughts)
Now for Morro and Lloyd's relationship. (Get ready for some more sad) Morro was only about 3 1/2 years old when Lloyd ran away, he doesn't really remember Lloyd, maybe only a few vague memories. On Lloyd's side of things, however, Morro was old enough to talk and walk and have fun with him, Lloyd has a lot of happy memories of his little cousin and he misses him a lot.
*Smirks evilly* Great minds think alike. Nya is at her father's side for most of the Tournament, going off to do his dirty work while Kai is incognito as just another EM. Everyone knows Nya is Ray's daughter as she was introduced as such.
Clouse is Chen's adoptive son INTERN at Chen's Noodle House. He's 19ish and going to college for Chemistry (closest normal equivalent I could think of for magic). Chen has practically adopted him at this point TAKEN HIM UNDER HIS WING as cooking is, in some ways, a lot like chemistry.
Garm didn't know Chen very well before the ninja business but after talking with him when he came for Skylor and hearing her talk about him he reached out and the two have been enjoying brunch together every Saturday they can sense. And yes, they do talk about student shenanigans lol.
For your last one, I love your ideas!!! I'll have to take more time to think about how I'd do it for my AU but that is a great idea!!! Maybe I could have opposite personalities switch elements like Griffin and Paleman or something. I'm not sure about this one at all though, I'll definitely have to brain rot over this some more so I can post something more concrete about it.
Anyway, that's all I got for you right now, I hope this is what you were looking for!!!
Seriously though, thanks for the ask, I loved it and it made my day! Please feel free to send all the questions you want I would love to answer them! I hadn't thought a lot about these before you asked so it was fun to think about!
Have a great day/night!!! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3
