I know I asked this awhile ago, but that was right after submissions had closed, so a lot more people have their eyes on this blog since then.
So what I am asking is...
(Also might ask this again when the tournament is over, but idk)

🖊️Path but bonus content of anybody you feel like. Stretch your legs girlie.
OOPS I FORGOT TO ANSWER THIS prepare thyself because I am about to infodump
Fuck it I’m making it canon: Path is intersex.
She responds to any pronouns including it/its (mostly because its how she was referred to as a child) but generally uses she/her the most.
She is autistic and suffers from severe memory problems, both because the disability she was born with and the trauma she has experienced throughout her short life. She has a permanent limp in her right leg and wears a brace on her right leg because her femur was broken when she was 13.
She is borderline illiterate but theyre working on it
She is approximately 15 standard years old, 4’10”
She is human-passing but her official species ID is demihuman. Her parents were human and Arkanian, how much she got from each parent is debatable. She is cold-blooded and her body does not regulate heat very well at all, she is cold to the touch. She has talons but she keeps them filed down because she finds them really kriffing annoying when they get long. Her hands are stained black up to her mid forearms. She has above average night vision and can see *just slightly* into the infrared spectrum but more often than not it just gives her headaches.
Her favorite food and smell is chocolate muffins, specifically the kind that’s ALL chocolate. You cannot go wrong with gifting her a fresh baked chocolate muffin.
She loves droids, her favorite kind is the humble B1.
She is *technically* Mandalorian but she doesnt like to talk about it and more likely than not will deny it (despite wearing a very Mandalorian helmet most times, if mostly just because she hates her face)
She’s a crack shot with a blaster, having been trained in its use by Hondo Ohnaka.
She is a recovering alcoholic, her “father” (not her bio dad) having often employed the use of alcohol to make her quiet down when she was younger, which eventually developed into an unhealthy coping mechanism.
She is the youngest of 37 elder siblings, several of whom she herself killed, even if she doesn’t remember.
She has very little real experience in the force and spent three years trying to suppress it, she thinks shes very weak, which is not true. She is naturally gifted in the force ability of ferromancy, specifically mechu deru, but she doesn’t even realize it to be a force ability. She just thinks she’s really good with machines, which y’know, technically isnt wrong.
She lives with her B1 friend Dodger as well as the former Sith Maul Opress, who is also her teacher and caretaker. She likes his funny words and he treats her nice. Makes her feel safe.
Whew i should probably stop here because this is getting LONG, but i love the crap outta this girl

Ever since drinking the ambrosia, Matai has felt a heat burning within him. What he had once thought was simply a metaphor for his being ambitious was instead an actual truth as it seemed he had fire in his veins. Though he hadn't taken a thermometer to confirm, he truthfully believes that his internal body temperature exceeds that of normal humans - that if a mundane doctor were to take a look at his temperature, they would believe that he'd be on the verge of dying given just how hot he now runs. He also finds that too many layer of clothing is bothersome and tends to prefer to train in his armor - though he had always, and still does, work out in just a pair of shorts.
Tumblr media
This fire inside of him seems to come in handy, though, for when he needs to ignite the blades he uses to strike his opponents. A surge of magma coats the metal of the katanas, his ability to control the hot substance keeping it from melting the blade, and as he strikes, the magma burns through any armor the foe may be wearing to damage them. And though he has yet to use it in combat, for fear of damaging not only his teammates but their morale (for it is very destructive of the environment), he knows that he can strike his swords into the ground and cause a small fissure to crack in front of him, calling forth the magma that lie underneath to shoot upward and burn anyone - and anything - in its path.
When using arcane armament on an ally, he focuses on the metals in their armor and manipulates them until they can cover even more chinks or cracks in their armor - or he uses bits of metal from his own armor to help fortify their armor if they are wearing leather. To his ally, their armor may feel warmer and more snug than before, and he has to be touching them in order for him to fortify what they are wearing. Their weapons also become a bit heavier, as he does also use his ability to solidify their weapon of choice to make them tougher - and sharper, too.
Tumblr media
Because of his connection with metals, he can also focus on the metals his opponents are wearing. Almost as if he is meditating, he has to close his eyes for a brief second as he reaches forth with his ability to be able to sense the metals on the other's body - whether it's their weaponry, their armor, or even jewelry that they may or may not be wearing. As he senses, he gets a clear idea of where they are and he is honed in to them like a magnet, aiding him in his quest to strike them. Of course, there is a chance he may lose his concentration if he is struck, but he knows that is a price to pay if it means bettering his chances of attacking his opponents.
These powers are something that Matai is still learning to use, especially the more destructive of ones, but he has thought about potential ways to make them more interesting. For instance, he has wondered if he can use his ferromancy to aid the son of Zeus in making more advantageous lighting strikes against their opponents, given the fact that metal is not only a conductor of electricity but something that draws lightning to it, or to use his ability of volcanic sundering to knock down a bunch of opponents that are surrounding and preoccupied with the son of Ares goading them, but he has yet to practice these theories.
He does find, though, that when he uses these powers, he feels incredibly hot - even more so than usual - and he knows that if he isn't careful, he could potentially overheat. Sweat will coat his body, particularly if he is using an ability that requires him to call upon magma, and heat will radiate off of him. But he also finds that he feels... right. That this is what he was meant to do. While he had once thought that the Octagon was his home, he now realizes that this is where his home is. On the battle field, protecting his allies and fighting his opponents... being a hero.
He knows that this is just the beginning, but he can't wait to see what else he uncovers thanks to his father's blood in his veins.

I don't like the term "technomancy", it's too broad and since a stick used a lever counts as technology, the "techno-" in technomancy is trying to mean something that it doesn't mean.
So I propose A Solution:
have "technomancy" be only a broad category of magics, such as:
cybermancy: the magic of cybernetics
nanomancy: the magic of nanomachines
ferromancy: the magic of metals and magnets
radiomancy: the magic of telecomunications
plasticomancy: the magic of artificial polymers
etc.
where every technomancy corresponds with a "transmutative technomancy" that consists in turning odinary things into the kinds of things that technomancy controls, such as:
transmutative vitromancy: the magical ability to turn things into glass
with this you can go as vague or as specific as you like

Belladonna purses her lips, arms crossed behind her back as she regards you. “Aaron O’Brein… is terrifying. The blood and soul of Cu Chulainn, the mightiest of Ireland’s warriors. The rìastrad, a deadly battle fury known to strike fear into even the bravest men. Ferromancy, full control over the thing I fear most.”
She runs her tongue over her lip, grinning, “It makes wanting him all the more thrilling.”

Hello hello! The snippets from your find the word answers were very interesting! I would love to learn a little more about that world you've got brewing. Really a free-range topic, but I know sometimes having a point to start is nice, so no need to answer all of these: Where the inspiration for this world come from? Is there an element of the world building you don't expect to make an occurrence to the reader that you are really happy with( like a problem that you solved, an interesting and unexpected interaction, etc.)? Or is there an aspect of the world building you aren't quite sure about and thinking out loud(or typing lol) may help work through? Just a few ideas but really use this as a space to really gush about your story and world!
Hmm... Thanks for asking about it! If I'm being honest I loved your snippets from the Heads up 7 up game. You have a gift for describing scenes and I found myself completely immersed in the writing, especially when the first line of dialogue popped up. I just didn't say anything because I'm new to Tumblr and not sure of the etiquette of replying/responding yet. :D
As for your questions, I'll answer them in numbers.
My true inspiration actually came from mental illness. I have Agoraphobia and though it's improved, initially there were 4 years that I was so darn anxious that I couldn't leave my house at all (not even to go out to the backyard). I dealt with that anxiety by building a world of my own that I could enjoy, which I knew the rules for. One day, my partner found my binder of chapters, race designs, kingdom descriptions/maps, creatures, and plants and they were like, "Ohmygod! You have to do something with this!" That's when I decided that I wouldn't just make a book out of it. Since then I have built the overview for a full book series and I'm also now building a TTRPG inspired by D&D. It's been quite therapeutic if I'm being honest. The existing inspirations for my lore are LoTR, and Avatar - the last Airbender.
Sort of. There's a chapter where one of my OCs is being attacked by an assassin and disarms them, so they knock him into a lake and sink with him. The assassin got a breath before the fall, my OC didn't. The OC begins drowning and a previous chat with his mentor about the most important aspects of fighting in water pops into his head. He was told that the main 3 principles he needed to pay attention to were, elemental abilities, stamina, and lung capacity. So, as the OC begins to blackout and thinks about how he could possibly survive this ordeal that chat begins repeating in his head and he gets an idea. So he begins transforming into a Lycan (werewolf) underwater and kicks off the floor of the lake, allowing himself a brief moment to surface and take a breath. Due to the fact his transformation causes him to grow a full-size class (from medium to large) his lung capacity increases and he uses the surprised gasp of the assassin as his cue to pull them back underwater, instead drowning the assassin.
Yes actually. I've been having issues naming certain aspects of one of my magic systems. It works like this: The system is called "Elemancy" and the general idea is that it allows certain races to manipulate the elements. The main forms of Elemancy used are Geomancy (earth), Hydromancy (water), Pyromancy (fire), and Aeromancy (air). The issue I'm having is once you learn all four natural Elemancy types there are several subtypes and a new tree of abilities opens up leading all the way up to the ability to manipulate cosmic energy, but I can't find a good name for metal, or cosmic. Metalmancy, ferromancy... Neither sounds good, and ferro refers to iron specifically, when the ability involves all metals. Same with Cosmomancy, or Spacialmancy. None of those hit the ear right, y'know? Any ideas?

Piltovans are highly suspicious of most forms of magick and mystery religions. So dependent on mortal mundane invention and intellect. An arrogance that sometimes grates, although she never says it aloud. So, she becomes more careful.
No altars are placed where anyone can see them and wonder at their arcane meaning. She teaches her body not to bow and lean in acknowledgement of the Sun’s blessing at the brightest parts of each day.

SHOWCASE #1 : Various People of Titan
Braellian Gunman : The primary infantry of the army of the Braellian Empire, their distinctive face-masks are based off the designs used by the Metalworkers of the Steelworks in Natrus, Hylae and Hor-Skashi, from which many of the ranks of soldiers are hired.
Eumen-Riad Fighter : The Eumen-Riad are a warrior Euva who currently reside in the Isle of Erdione. They are descended from the Golden Band of Emmon, and lead the Neo-Marian invasions. They were forced from their home in Castle Rosa, when its current occupants took over and they fled to the Taprenyin Sea. They use ferromancy to control their weapons, specially designing them with faults through which deadly spikes of metal can be extended out of the blade, instantly killing the victim of the attack.
Rosa Knight : The Order of Rosa lead the reformation of the Central Republic as part of the nationalist movement. They would eventually defect to the Darkwater Republic (soon to be known as Ferenstraiter) during the Central-Darkwater War. They are known for their iconic armour which is impenetrable by nothing except the most powerful of firetubes, and are feared by all. Their base is Castle Rosa, which they seized from the Eumen-Riad during their founding. The modern Order is actually an imitation of a far older knighthood, which ruled the ancient Central Kingdom. Fashionable Soruki : The Soruki are the inhabitants of the Gilded Republic (also known simply as Soruk and Soruksten), which is best known as a refuge for the various noble houses that have been displayed throughout the various of the last two centuries. This mixing of noble families and their cultures has lead to what is quite frankly a bizarre series of fashion trends as the mix of clothing wealth and royal clout chasing bash against each other into a rather alien sense of style.
Marian Noble : The Marian Noble is from one of the Great Cities of the Gladencoast. Marian clothing often includes themes and imagery of sea-life and sea creatures often manifesting as the many swirling patterns engraved into the man's head-dress and collar. Due to their matriarchal society, both men and women follow feminine beauty standards, with men usually fully shaved and boasting young faces, enhanced by makeup.
Demon King Cultist : Various Demon King cults have existed throughout Titan, but who exactly this so-called Demon King is, is hotly debated. The Emmurian Consensus is that it's a corrupted form of Unville, the Braellian god of Primordial Ambition and important folklore figure. Some Marian scholars have instead argued its a version of the Mechanical God, a figure often referenced in ancient Onchi texts and believed to be their god of magic. Shie Koremlo : Member of House Koremlo, she is at the centre of the Koremlo Sundering and the later Ivar Sundering, an event that saw the Koremlo Clan, divide into the Ivar and Koremlo factions over whether the family should allow themselves to be annexed into the Marian Golden Empire. The Koremlo would eventually succeed, with the Ivars retreating back into Tareneauv. Later the Ivars would be similarly split on which side to support during the Tareneauvian Civil War.
Euva of Mearimir : The Euromancers of Mearimir make heavy use of Titan technology to enhance the physical and magical abilities. The Euva of Mearimir was founded by Kaeyon of Mearimir, founder of the Euvagean Empire, who was a heavy enthusiast of Titan technology, making regular expeditions into the Chasm. The modern Euva continue this legacy with their research.
Euva of Kin : The Euva of Kin are a culture of pastoralists, with their lifestyle and culture revolving around their raising of cattle and aurochs. They were the former heads of the Kingdom of Kin, the greatest of the post Neo-Marian states, whose war with Teva Teva forced the creation of the Marian Provisional Government. They would fall out of power following their defeat in this war, and later with the Necromantic Bombing of their capital Trelynska. The capital would be moved to Hollow Row and now the Kin are fiercely loyal to the Euvagean Empire.
Euva of Erdione : The Euva of Erdione are a euva of coral and pearl divers and have a close connection to the sea, as it is the centre of their lifestyle. The Erdione have a close relationship with the Eumen-Riad who reside on their islands. The corals and pearls collected by the Erdione are very commonly used in the creation of luxury goods, most notably being made into beads. They also collect many other forms of sea life for use in trade.

Path is a nobody.
She’s not the daughter or descendant of anyone with any importance in the grand scheme of the universe or Star Wars lore, she’s literally just a random kid who was supposed to be a Jedi but was instead stolen by an obscure dark side Mandalorian cult that barely anyone has even heard of because it’s leader is a nobody, too.
The only things that make Path noteworthy are her natural talent in ferromancy and the fact Maul has taken her on as his student. That’s literally it.

Ah yes, here I am, once again remembering people who technically don't even exist in my source, this time being Khrome (who I remember being a part of the Seidan resistance like Havik and Darrius).
I didn't know Khrome too well, but he seemed nice enough, and his ferromancy was quite impressive. I wish I got to know him a little better. I feel like we could've had a lot in common.
