elidibus and gourd have remarkable similarities and by total accident too cus i did not write him in tandem LMFAO. both were young and beloved and were given a secure place in the world by the adults around them and both lost them all violently and pretty suddenly while they were reaching the cusp of their adulthoods. both played the role of observers for a very very long time and both felt lost and needed a form of extreme denial to continue after losing their home. both longed for guidance and were okay with being puppets if it meant they could recieve it again. there’s a slew of fundamental differences in why they turned out so differently-yet-vaguely-alike of course but OK I PROMSJE it wasnt all for my malevolent wolidibus agenda

#elidibus fears gourd in the way that he fears the path he took #on top of everything else. and gourd loathed elidibus and was obsessed with him because he was proof that the path he wished to have… #was like incompatible with his very being. the if even one of the spires had lived question #if death wasn’t part and parcel of a mortal life and if he ever believed that he and his world were perfect #Anyway that’s part of why he wants him to live inna dog house. 👍
