I think the "op what does this mean" questions are rhetorical, like they think its funny that someone wants to make love with a fictional adorable not very intentionally sexy cartoon character, funny enough to show their followers with a reblog, but they need to signal that its funny and they're actually very befuddled and confused.

responding to rhetorical questions in good faith is my favorite thing to do, the results are funny whether it's intentional or just an autism moment. like someone said "why is it called creepypasta and not fettuccini afraido" and i said "because its a derivation of copypasta, and in turn copy paste. it's not just a random reference to spaghetti." and it was really funny even though i had no idea that person was just framing their pun as a rhetorical question.

Random thought: there's something to be said for addiction in Elden Ring.

I'm specifically fascinated by Sleep, Madness, and the connection between the two. Trina was involved with pacifying the merchants' despair, until she didn't anymore. Items that give you focus alleviate both Sleep and Madness. Both of them seem to mostly be effective against other Tarnished, though the Godskins are particularly susceptible to Sleep.

Sleep magic has been called addictive in item descriptions, and cut content had it heavily involved with alcohol from what I know? Or at least turned memories into some sort of drink.

While Miquella himself seems to mostly be characterized via holy magic (his rings of light, the Golden Epitaph, the Haligtree soldiers/knights), every single one of the Empyrean demigods taps into something beyond the Golden Order. Ranni taps into the stars, which are clearly some sort of eldritch force, and the moon. Malenia is possessed by the Scarlet Rot. While Miquella is associated with abundance, it's unclear what elemental affinity or god could have been connected to it. The moth cocoons around his city make it even more confusing.

But the only other element associated with him is Sleep.

So if Ranni made an age of stars, and Malenia would have likely turned the whole world into Caelid, what would sleep have done to the world?

Forgive my pretentious reference here, but with sleep being the brother of death, I think it could have had plenty to do with spirits. In what way, I'm unsure, but maybe the DLC will give me a couple of clues as to what St. Trina could have done to the Lands Between if she became the new god.

The kids had an event at school today. They were adorable, of course.

Right before it started a woman walked in holding a baby who looked exactly like a mini version of Henry. Then I thought I was probably imagining it, since he’s been on my mind.

This evening, after dinner, Felix asked me if I’d seen a baby in the audience who looked like Henry. I’d said nothing to the kids about it previously. So then I began to wonder if it’s another of Henry’s dad’s kids (he has many). I hope not, because I don’t want to risk Felix’s location getting back to Henry’s dad or his birth mom. That would be disastrous. The school doesn’t have the security to handle it.

I already got so upset last week because one of the teachers put up a Donors Choose page with a photo of Greta front and center. I am strict about keeping my children off all the school social media, and signed a document to that effect. This submission wasn’t sanctioned by the school which makes me even more frustrated. That some random specials teacher took a photo of my Black daughter and made her the poster child of “majority low income public school”. And risked her safety in the process. No thank you.

I still can’t get DCFS to tell me why I’m not licensed. I have tried to do respite for friends twice and DCFS won’t let me, but they can’t tell me why. I closed as a home in good standing. I had a new home visit done (was told all looked great). I turned in all the forms. Yesterday I got an email saying they think the problem is I need references and am I okay with them using my references on file. Um, yes. That’s why they are there. I emailed back right away and asked if that was the last thing they needed. No reply. My friend wants me to do respite again this weekend. The kids want the baby to visit. DCFS has zero respite beds and may end up driving the baby half way across the state instead of 10 minutes down the road. Foster care.

He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.

And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.

No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.

Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)

He needs to be quick.

Efficient.

Perfect.

And so he comes and goes like the wind.

Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.

Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.

He'd rather he never be late ever again.

It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...

There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?

Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.

FUN FACT! I actually had plans ALREADY for a food fight scene in my Medieval AU (Part One), so I wrote that! For context, Sabine and Ezra are somewhere between 5&7 and 7&9 (i'm still working on the exact ages).

If Mother were here, she would tell Sabine that it would be impolite to smash her whole plate of food over the head of that ugly boy, who was apparently trying to get seconds on dessert before he’d even finished his vegetables by stealing the sweet of the boy next to him. But Mother wasn’t here, and the boy next to him happened to be Ezra, and Ezra looked like he was going to cry, so Sabine committed the impolite act with unremorseful gusto. Then, for good measure, she dumped her glass of juice over the stupid boy’s head while he was still too shocked to move. The sound of shattering dishware hushed the whole créche into utter silence, except for Chopper’s naughty warble of laughter. Sabine glared down at Ezra, who was looking at her like she was a hero of legends, and put her hands on her hips. She was about to chastise him for just sitting there while his dessert got stolen, when the boy got himself together and made a face at Ezra. “Are you gonna let a girl fight for you like that?” Sabine was ready to lunge forward into a good old fistfight at the insult, but Ezra grabbed his own plate of food, smashed it into the bully’s chest, and yelled, “It’s called TEAMWORK, stupid!” Another moment of shocked silence. Then the créche erupted into chaos. Oleg was assaulted with a volley of mashed potatoes from every side, Leia lovingly hurled her vegetables into her brother’s face, Chopper used his grabber arms to pick up a bowl of fruit and fling its contents at whoever was closest, the tiny Yoda baby was screeching with delight, and Sabine climbed up to stand on the table, pulling Ezra with her, then raised their joined hands in the air like a king signaling the start of a cavalry charge and screamed: “FOOD FIGHT!”

firstly I'd like to admit I went into this episode with the wrong impression

I had assumed Beavis would have no idea this random guy wasn't butthead

and therefore his behavior would seem wildly out of line and beavis would take notice and think butthead himself was acting odd

and maybe this would've added to the ending where Beavis finds the real butthead and then promptly gets mistreated by him

I'm also getting the impression this is flipping their usual dynamic around, Beavis finally having to deal with this overly hyper and clingy guy that doesn't shut up and he's wildly uncomfortable with this, visibly so

even when in a place like the guitar shop where Beavis would be having the time of his life with a loud guitar hooked up to an Amp, he simply tries to put it down, and even apologized for setting off the Amp feedback

if this were the older (younger?) Beavis he would've jammed the fuck out on that guitar being as loud as possible and butthead would've egged him on to the point of smashing the guitar on the ground

I've never seen Beavis act so small and anxious in his environment before, he truly has no clue what to do without butthead by his side

I'd also like to add that once again, Beavis is out on his own in the beginning

the set up for this, we have no idea

but with Beavis saying butthead should be at the maxi mart we can assume maybe they were meeting up? or Beavis left the maxi mart and was on his way back?

both of these seem odd

even when the guy almost let's Beavis go on his own, he can't even believe it

sure this might be disbelief after dealing with him dragging him around nonestop and talking his ear off

but I also think it represents beavis's lack of authority over his actions that he's so used to being controlled by butthead

and the thing to set him free from this guy's grip on him, is him standing up for himself and saying enough

and yes his guy misinterpreted it to be about his girlfriend

but it still gave Beavis the results he wanted

I will admit I really like the moment of this guy teaching Beavis how to fist bump

incredibly wholesome thats all I have to say

and beavis coming home and trying to show butthead what he learned only to get punched for what I assume to be no real reason

really shows how butthead is just becoming a bully

he's snarky all the time now and hits Beavis nonstop and ignores all of beavis's attempts to point something logical out (which is out of character for Beavis as well I'll add)

my final note about both of these new episodes-

I feel like they just dislike eachother now

they feel like roommates staying together because the rent is too high to live on their own

these aren't two best friends that grew up together since diapers that say they aren't friends but don't mean it

no, there's malice now

where this came from I'm not exactly sure

like I previously stated maybe butthead is acting out more on Beavis due to his actions in the movie

but I feel like he's pushing it too far even then

there's tension between them that feels like it's never going to be resolved due to the episodic nature of this series

and although that wasn't a problem in the og series, it is now

My favorite type of family members are just those random friends who get claimed by someone and then stick around long enough to be considered children, siblings, aunts/uncles, grandparents....
