„Nehmt euch am besten einen Fahrer, wenn ihr auf Bali schnell unterwegs sein wollt. Ein Scooter ist viel zu gefährlich!“

Wirklich! - Am meisten vermisse ich das Roller fahren auf Bali! 🛵 Bereits am 2. Tag mussten wir feststellen, dass man zu Fuß für eine Strecke 3-fach so lange braucht wie mit einem Fahrzeug. Das ist halt einfach anders als in Deutschland spazieren zu gehen.

Angefangen damit, dass es in unserem Ort nicht mal richtige Fußwege gibt und sowieso alles aus einer Straße besteht, ist der Verkehr auf Bali auch ziemlich überfüllt... Das heißt also auch immer Augen auf! 👀 Zudem sind die Entfernungen auch immer ziemlich weit und wenn man sich in einem Ort noch nicht auskennt und zum Beispiel ein Restaurant sucht, kann das schon mal ziemlich zeitaufwendig werden. Deswegen haben wir uns entschieden einen Roller anzumieten, um mobil und möglichst flexibel zu sein. 😊

Ich muss zugeben, dass es das erste Mal war, dass ich überhaupt auf einer befahrenen Straße mit einem Roller gefahren bin und dann auch noch Linksverkehr! Ohwe, das hätte eigentlich nur schief gehen können. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Wäre es auch fast ein paar Mal, aber meine Divise war „learning by doing“ und ich hab mich nicht abschrecken lassen. Man muss auch hervorheben, dass ich in einer Großstadt in Deutschland, niemals mit einem Scooter durch die Gegend düsen würde, weil die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass mich hier einer platt macht in meinen Augen viel höher ist als auf Bali. 😌 Die Balinesen sind entspannte Gemüter und nehmen auf ihre Mitmenschen sehr viel Rücksicht. Außerdem hat man uns von Weitem schon angesehen, dass wir Ausländer sind und die Verkehrsteilnehmer waren deswegen noch achtsamer! 👀

Wir können die Anmietung eines Scooters nur wärmstens empfehlen. Diesen könnt ihr schon ab ca. 8€/Tag anmieten. Achtet darauf welche Tankregelung ihr mit dem Vermieter vereinbart und wie viel Tank wirklich in dem Scooter enthalten ist. Lasst euch außerdem gleich zeigen wo sich die Fahrzeugpapiere befinden, damit ihr bei einer Polizeikontrolle nicht noch in etwas reinrutscht. Ja - wir wurden bei unserer ersten Ausfahrt natürlich auch gleich angehalten. 😂 Bleibt in solchen Situationen einfach locker. Mit einer freundlichen Art hat sich das innerhalb von 3 Minuten sowieso schon wieder erledigt. Natürlich kann das auch immer anders laufen. Wir mussten zum Glück keine negativen Erfahrungen machen. 😪

Last but not least (!), ich weiß im Urlaubsland nimmt man die Verkehrsordnung nicht immer ganz so ernst. Jedoch möchte ich euch ans Herz legen, immer einen Helm zu tragen, egal wie heiß es ist, und zudem immer vorsichtig und rücksichtsvoll auf der Straße unterwegs zu sein. Ich selbst wäre schon fast mit ein paar Ausländern zusammengerasselt, weil die meinen auf dicke Hose zu machen und wie Geisteskranke auf der Straße zu fahren! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Ich bin froh, dass uns nichts passiert ist, weil wir auch schon andere Situationen beobachten mussten... Also passt trotzalledem auf euch auf! 🤗
