also also, i will update her info ( or finish her carrd ) soonish but leera serves somewhat loosely as a mediary in the domain she winds up settling in. she owns and runs 'the exchange' a hotel renovated into a gallery and restaurant that serves both humans and vampires.
* more importantly : she trades in favors and information in this space.

So You Want To Learn About Ada Blackjack
Tumblr media
Interested in learning more about polar survivor and finalist in the Polar Explorer Showdown Ada Blackjack? You've come to the right place! I am not a professional academic, but I am a librarian and research professional who has been hyperfixating on the Wrangel Island expedition (and its spiritual predecessor, the Canadian Arctic Expedition or CAE) for a hot minute. My current research is more focused on the boys, but Ada is amazing and more people should know about her!
Here's some background info that will be helpful:
The Wrangel Island expedition was organized by Icelandic-Canadian explorer Vilhjalmur Stefansson. Stefansson was a skilled survivalist and solo explorer, but also a terrible organizer, an attention seeker, and Not A Particularly Good Guy. In 1913, the Karluk, one of the ships associated with the CAE, was frozen in. Stefansson, a seasoned polar explorer, could have stayed and helped his inexperienced crew cope with the challenges of their situation. Instead, he abandoned them to go on a "hunting trip" with a small group that included his personal secretary and the expedition photographer. The Karluk crew made it to a desolate island between Alaska and Siberia named Wrangel Island, where the survivors lived for many months until their eventual rescue. You can read more about this story in The Ice Master by Jennifer Niven and Empire of Ice and Stone by Buddy Levy!
After abandoning the crew of the Karluk, Stefansson stayed in the Arctic until 1918. As soon as he returned to Canada, he immediately started plotting and scheming to get back in the spotlight. Somewhere along the way, he had the brilliant idea that Canada should claim Wrangel Island, the place where the Karluk survivors were marooned (and a known Russian territory). The Canadian government was not at all interested, and neither was the British government, but he didn't let that stop him!
He gathered a crew of 3 eager young Americans- Fred Maurer (28, a survivor of the Karluk disaster), E. Lorne Knight (28, a veteran of the CAE), and Milton Galle (19, had briefly served as Stefansson's secretary while he was on the lecture circuit, no polar experience), and told them that he wanted to claim Wrangel Island for Canada and set up a colony there. However, since all three were Americans, Stefansson needed to find a Canadian citizen willing to lead the expedition. Enter Allan Crawford (20, university student, no polar experience). These four men would claim Wrangel Island for Canada, a thing the Canadian government did not ask them to do, and set up a colony there, planning to stay for at least a year.
Stefansson promised the men that he would hire Indigenous hunters, cooks, and seamstresses to travel with them. However, only Ada Blackjack agreed to go. Ada was a petite 23 year old Iñupiat woman, a survivor of an abusive marriage, and a single mother with a sick son. She was uncomfortable being the only woman and the only Indigenous person in the group, but she needed the money to pay her son's medical expenses. She joined these 4 men (and a cat named Vic) and traveled to Wrangel Island in 1921.
And… you'll have to pick up a book to find out what happens next!
I highly, HIGHLY recommend the book Ada Blackjack by Jennifer Niven. It's meticulously researched and absolutely stunning! Please read it, fall in love with (some of) these people, and join me in Wrangel Island hell.
If you don't have time to read a book but still want the whole story, this Atlas Obscura article is excellent.
Want to read Ada's diary? It's digitized and available through Dartmouth Special Collections, along with a bunch of incredible photos!
Stefansson also wrote a book called The Adventure of Wrangel Island, and every time I think about it, it makes me want to throw up. He's an unreliable narrator, but there are some good pictures.
I hope you've enjoyed learning about Ada! PLEASE read the Niven book, I promise you won't regret it. If you have any questions I will do my best to answer them!

13, 16 and 22 for the ask game??
13. Worst blorbofication
I'm gonna assume this is basically fandom flanderization and say I feel a certain personal animosity for any interpretation of Drusilla that removes the danger of her. Like having her be so out of it that the Scoobs could just wander up and start chatting and she'd be perfectly civil bc she's just so crazy she doesn't even know they're her enemies, or just writing her as being just a tall hot child who's nice to everyone bc she doesn't know better and wouldn't even think to hurt anyone if Daddy didn't say so. I think people get tripped up by the fact that we don't see her away from the Whirlwind or just Spike very often and she's VERY affectionate with them and pays most of her attention to them rather than their food, but with humans she is very much a dangerous vampire who gets genuine delight out of torturing and killing people and lets not forget killed a Slayer. Respect my girl she didn't kill all those people for nothing
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
why are there so many fics where Xander gets powers. the fuck is he gonna do with those he has work in the morning
22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores
I'm not sure if this is a fair answer bc it's more that I've never seen anyone talk about it but the buffyverse vision mindscape is. So fascinating to me. Slayers get prophetic dreams but once there's two they seem to share them. Doyle and Cordelia and Birthdayverse!Angel all pass around a link to "the visions". Drusilla has "the sight", which seems to be different in that its always on, she can always see beyond herself, she can see the stars through the ceiling during the day. Lorne can feel when Cordy is about to have a vision and presumably gets similar glimpses of the future when he reads people. Buffy's spirit guide knows she's going to die and what will lead her there. When Faith and Buffy are both unconscious on the verge of death they can have a full blown conversation in a psychic space thats in one or both or neither of their heads, they're not sure, and while she's there Faith even feels that Buffy is going to die in 730 days but neither of them can make sense of the jumbled info as Faith got it ("Miles to go, Little Miss Muffet counting down from 7-3-0"), like Cordy sometimes gets visions she can't understand. There's something about how it seems like all the glimpses into the future come from the same place ("the visions"). Slayers have a natural link to it they can access unconsciously in dreams or consciously for a cryptic warning from the spirit guide in the desert, agents of the PTB can be tuned into it for a few agonising moments at a time to get the bare minimum info they need to act on, rare people like Dru and Lorne can passively perceive some aspects of it, it's just so MUCH. And it's ALL THE SAME THING they all just perceive it differently. I obsess.
Thanks for the ask 👏

Realization
Tumblr media
I didn't have a plan to draw today (yesterday, yes, I tend to post before I go to sleep because I draw late) but I just felt too anxious to do anything (self-hatred stuff), so I needed to focus on something to calm down. I kinda got tired of just doing pencil stuff, so I tried a black paper and colour pencils and man, those pencils weren't for this purpose... I had to use my old, random red colour pencil to get that red since that pack of colour pencils I used didn't have strong colours but the white one. It's been like... six years since I really used colour pencils.
This isn't really this bright IRL, it felt like I barely saw what I was drawing... Luckily, those pencils were blendable enough (it was said that they are blendable) that I could create those colours, somehow. I almost did holes to the paper while making those colours (you can see two such spots on his face)... Man, I need strong paper when I draw, it's so usual that I'm ruining the paper if it's too light... Like, for watercolour stuff I must use the heaviest paper or it will be a wavy thing, even when using the tape... I guess that my way to draw is somewhat rough... When I have done those pencil sketches, I have also succeeded to do almost holes to the paper but luckily, it's so strong that they haven't went thru the paper...
It was difficult to have an idea of what to draw because I was also at the same time reluctant to draw but something melancholic and well, Molluck... I didn't have a direct reference but as you can see, this refers to that bad ending in SoulStorm. But this more like relates to Molluck after he killed his Slig chauffeur since I just wonder what he thought after it. Maybe he realized that he just made it even worse... Frankly, I do understand him in that bad ending. He did warn the Slig to not to talk about it before but he just didn't learn from those warnings... Molluck did his best to stay calm but he just couldn't do it anymore...
I gotta say that it was interesting to hear how Lorne talked about Molluck recently, calling him 'a smart monster' but also 'a prick'. I have seen Molluck being called a bastard before too, like in this Abe's Exoddus info thing he is called 'a professional bastard', so it wasn't new but that 'monster', it caught my interest... I'm just unable to see him as a monster... Sometimes, I just wonder if there's something 'wrong' with me when I do not see this 'sinister Molluck' Lorne has also been talking about, the image OWI wants to give about him.
Despite of that presentation, I do not see him like that. I do can see him having certain sinister expressions but he doesn't still feel sinister to me... I more like just see myself in him and understand him... He just feels so 'me'... No any other character is so 'me'... I don't know if it's something 'worrying' but it's just the case. I'm not sure if my negative image of myself affects this significantly since well, I feel like I'm awful and I hate myself...
It did give me anxiety to see myself posting so often today (yesterday) since I cannot really stand my own creations but I'm trying my best to let them be... It gives me some peace when I tend to disable reblogs. It's just that I tend to dislike my stuff... I'm just not able to share my stuff more widely for this reason...
But why I do post my stuff if I tend to hate it? Well, I just like to create stuff but it's another question if I like what I did or not. I also wanna spread love for Molluck. I just love that Gluk so much... Maybe I have created a better image of him than he really is but it's what gives me life and how I do see him, how those cutscenes made me see him. I did see him as a sweet Gluk in those cutscenes. He can be harsh when he speaks but I can see actual caring behind it. I just feel like, if this blog wasn't about love toward Molluck, I would have already deleted it.
I have already said this back then but when Molluck does this expression:
Tumblr media
It reminds me of my stupid expression I sometimes did as a child for fun, 'a bull face'... Yes, I associate this expression with myself... I can still do it. So yeah, for me, it's kinda difficult to see anything else but someone I can identify with in Molluck... I have also liked boss stuff years before knowing Molluck, and well, I do can seem intimidating and bossy, even when I don't think so... But I have also heard that I'm lovely, so I just have different sides.
I have also heard often that I'm (very) handsome, so yeah, it's one more similarity between me and Molluck... Oh, and well, my name, Riki, also means 'rich and powerful', but it isn't the reason why I have it and I didn't even invent it, it was given to me by one girl who maybe flirted to me but I didn't realize it... She just asked if it's my name, and later on, I really started to love that name. I have told this stuff before too but I felt like saying this stuff again.
I just cannot help myself that I see Molluck like this... He is my precious Gluk, no matter what.

Shortest fic: 100 words; Longest fic: 9208 words (collab); 6290 words (non-collab).
I wrote m/m, f/f, m/f, multi, other, and gen categories (neat!)
I dabbled a little in graphics stuff and made some moodboards, so the fanworks breakdown is: 84 fic entries, 1 graphic entry.
Top 5 works by kudos
Lost Somewhere (Fellow Travelers) -> I am a bit surprised that this was my most kudos'd fic! Surprised in a good way!
On the Job (Stargate Atlantis AU)
The Line is Thin, Now (Stargate Atlantis)
Seasonality (Stargate Atlantis)
Down to Earth (Stargate Atlantis AU)
I made a chart and all (gosh, what does it kind of look like???):

I primarily wrote in Stargate Atlantis fandom (surprise!), but I branched out a bit too! Other fandoms were (in order most frequently->least frequently and then alphabetically when tied): Stargate SG1; Original Fiction; Peacemaker; Star Trek: Strange New Worlds; Who is Erin Carter?; Coffin Jackson; due South (crossover with SGA/SG1); Echoes; Firefly; Star Trek: Picard; Star Trek: TNG (crossover with SGA).

Rodney McKay (26)
Ronon Dex (16)
Teyla Emmagan (15)
Most-written ships
Evan Lorne/John Sheppard (16)
Evan Lorne/Rodney McKay (8)
Rodney McKay/John Sheppard (7) and Cameron Mitchell/John Sheppard (7)

Tumblr media
Top Additional Tags
Blow Jobs (21) (shock! le gasp!) (25% of my 2023 fics)
Alternate Universe (15) (yeah, that checks out)
Dubious consent (14) (yeah, that really checks out)
Maybe it's pushing it, but I think I need to include Humor here too, because it turns out I used it 9 times.
Ratings breakdown
Explicit and Teen+ tie at 32 works each. Mature = 14. General Audiences = 7.
A few other things
I wrote 26 gift fics (most for exchanges or organized events), and wrote 5 things for the Stargate Kink Meme. I had set a mini-goal of trying to reach a total of 300 works on AO3 this year. I didn't make it, but I did get to 298 (with a last-minute addition yesterday), which is pretty sweet.
Tag taggy tag-tag: Anyone who wants to do this! And go nuts! Here are some guidelines/rules if you want them!
Feel free to show whatever stats you have. Only want to show Ao3 stats? Rock on. Want to include some quantitative info instead of stats? Please do this. Want to change how yours is presented? Tumblr media
It seems for the past few years that every time the beginning of June rolls around, I find myself updating this image with better tech or newer sets or more nicely-made clothes or different hair or whatever. Maybe it’s just sentiment.
If it is, it’s one I embrace. These two characters are where my professional writing career started: the tall dark thoughtful rural lordling and amateur strategist, part-time sorcerer and stubborn seeker after the true Power without which he’ll die young, never learning what he was for: and the short blond bookish Prince-in-exile, hot-tempered and impulsive even when outlawed and on the run, and ever so good at screwing things up...but equally good at (eventually) doing whatever it takes to put them right afterwards, no matter how much it hurts. The plot of the book that introduced them and their world blindsided me over the course of several days in late 1976/early 1977. It  promptly plunged me into two months’ worth of nearly nonstop writing, sold within days to the first editorial team who saw it, and changed the course of my life.
That the culture in which the story took place was both pansexual and polyamorous apparently caused astonishment for a lot of people when it was published in 1979. But right then, that wasn’t the main issue for me. I was more focused on the fact that (like other works of mine since) The Door Into Fire was simply a present for a friend; someone who I wanted to have understand—borrowing another fictional character’s line—that being gay, or whatever else they might be along those lines, was absolutely “fine: it’s all fine”.
...And so it has been, and remains. So here they are again, this pair of incorrigible troublemakers: Herewiss (or Dusty, as his friends and spouses think of him, due to a longstanding tendency in his youth to be found “touching grass,” or indeed dirt, as often as possible), and Freelorn (a.k.a Lorn, a.k.a. “Oh Goddess what has he done now??”). And if they carry a message with them, it’s this: If you’re going to marry a prince (or a Ruler-to-be), marry one who looks at you the way these two look at each other. Forty years and more, now, they’ve been at it. Each of them is the other’s world (while helping the other expand his own beyond just-the-two-of-them). And now, as then, for them as for the rest of the extremely mixed marriage that coalesced around them in the works that followed: love is love.
To all the readers for whom These Two Idiots (as the trope has it) were the first gay/LGBTQ representation they’d ever seen in a fantasy novel, and to everybody else who’s celebrating: Happy Pride.
(ETA: If you want more info about these characters and the other works in which they appear, check MiddleKingdoms.com. … Also: Original image re-rendered for better hand poses [and again after that for improved lighting]. Because can I leave well enough alone? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAno.)

Coldflash Caritas (Demon bar from Angel) AU
"You know Scarlet," comes the playfully sneering voice as someone slides into the seat across from him, causing Barry to heave a sigh because he already knows where this is heading, "You're really horning in on my whole shtick here. Aren't you the one supposed to be seeking me out in seedy dive bars? Unless you simply couldn't bear to be separated from little old me for so long" the Frost demon gives him a salacious wink, his grin overpronounced and mocking.
Barry is not having it. Normally exchanging banter with Snart was one of the more entertaining parts of his job, one he secretly looked forward to if- when, always when -their paths crossed in the line of duty. But right now, he was high on victims, low on leads, and was personally at the center of this weeks world ending disaster again, and therefore in no mood for whatever Len was undoubtedly riling him up for. Not when in order to figure out his next step he had to ...
"Alright, ladies, gents, and all those between betwixt and beyond, give it up one more time for Dorthorax and his very visceral rendition of Toxic by Brittany Spears! What moves huh?" There's an inaudible murmured conversation and some pointed eye contact between Lorne and Dorthorax before the latter trudges off the stage, looking somewhat put out for someone who'd just done a split kick so enthusiastically.
Lorne looks just as cheeky as ever, already readying for the next participant.
"AND, next up we have a real, genuine treat for everyone, myself included. We've got ourselves a first-timer. And not just any first timer! Cute as a button and, I'm told, quite the vocalist, please welcome L.A.'s very own scintillating Scarlet-Clad Slayer, Barry Allen!!!" Lorne makes a sweeping, over-dramatic gesture towards Barry, who's face is red enough now to perfectly match the moniker he was introduced by.
There is a choking, gleeful wheeze of sound in the booth across from him, as Leonard, currently unable to form words for what is probably the only time in his life since learning to speak, realizes just WHY Barry is here tonight.
"Dont be shy, fella, everyones gotta pay their due at some point. You want the info, I've gotta be able to read ya." Lorne's voice, jaunty and charming, and too-pleased with itself is suddenly right next to him, and barry knows his time is up. He sighs burying his face in his hands.
"I am begging you. Begging you to drop it and leave, just this once Snart. Please just go" he sounds so flustered and defeated and utterly mortified by the situation, how can Snart be anywhere BUT here for this moment, he thinks to himself. Another grin lighting up his face as he shoos Barry to the stage with one hand, the other propping up his chin as he leans in with an unconcealed sort of sadistic enthusiasm.
Barry sighs again, features drooping in resignation as he makes his way to microphone for what, he is sure, will be his last moments because he is going to die of embarrassment. Right here, in this overcrowded bar full of demons, with Leonard Snart watching and laughing at him the entire time. Whatever. He has long since given up his own dignity in the pursuit of justice.
"So, kid" Lorne is much more downplayed when it's just the two of them talking Barry has noticed, but he supposes that's to be expected. He's a performer, a showman. Maybe Barry can channel some of that to get through the next few minutes. He glances over at the demon, who's looking expectant "What song are we singing tonight? I've got ypu pegged as a secret Lady GaGa fan"
and normally yeah, that would be the kind of thing he'd go for, but here? When he's about to literally bare his soul (so to speak), he can't bring himself to release even that little bit of extra info. So instead he just lists the first song that comes into his head, too nervous to even register the words out of his mouth until it's too late, and he's looking back up in horror at Lorne, who'd made a curious and thoughtful noise in response, almost instantly already at the side of the stage to queue up the track, before he's slowly turning his head back to the slightly shocked but undeniably pleased face of Leonard Snart once more. He looks like a self-satisfied cat who's just eaten a particularly fat canary, as the first few notes of Foreigner's "Cold as Ice" begin to play, before Barry is being shoved onto the stage and into the spolight. Microphone in hand, with no choice but to pushbthrough it, and, well....
Barry steels himself, too late to turn back now. He has the fleeting thought as he looks out at the audience- failing to avoid looking at Len's too-wide grin once again, all of his attention focused on him, as it usually, inexplicably was, those ice blue eyes intense and full of mirth- that Lorne had better come through on this, because he's already broadcasting enough of his secrets tonight, the least some of them could do was be useful to solving a case.

Some character portraits I’ve been working on as I build the world of my comic, Corrupted Earth, on WorldAnvil.
List of characters (starting from top left):
1. The BEAST, an Abhorre demon, mystically bound to a fighting pit and forced to kill other monsters in battle. More info and download here.
2. Lonny Scratwum, based on Lorne from Angel. An empath demon with a penchant for clubbing.
3. Cheryl Chlora, a plant-person environmental terrorist who uses genetically experimented vegetables to mind-control others.
4. Sam Liberty, a superhero-turned-abomination—stitched back together after being torn apart by a monstrous alien fly trap in 1979.
5. Ramses Bloodwing, an Annaki alien. Ramses was once the emperor of multiple galaxies, conquering planets left and right, before his race was driven to near-extinction.
6. Frederic Black, the Angel of Death. He is the right-hand man of the Cosmic God of Death.
7. COGWHEEL, the Cosmic God of Technology.
I’m about 40% finished laying out all the information in a format my brain understands so I can start to formulate the minutia of the story and actually get that first issue released.

I sent you the ask about track recs the other day, thank you so much for your response!! Are there any tracks/soundtracks that you think I should know the context of before listening? Basically, what I'm saying is, I know being aware of what scene is happening in a certain storyline can make the music even more meaningful in a lot of cases. I'm totally down to try and find any corresponding clips of the game on YouTube to certain tracks so I can be all like "ohhh that's what 'Ezio Confronts Lucrezia' (AC Brotherhood) is about" 😂
(Or is that not what the soundtrack is like? I first started listening to video game soundtracks with Detroit: Become Human's, and those tracks play during the actual game itself. But idk if it's the same case with the AC games, or if it's just a separate song album to go with the vibe of the games, y'know)
Also, while I'm here, why not just say this (even though I don't know what you're gonna do w this info 😂): I was googling what "Tarantella" means since there's Florence & Venice Tarantella (AC 2 & AC Nexus), and (the first thing on) Google was saying it's like an Italian folk dance. I keep imagining what was going on in the game was like that Kingdom Dance scene in Tangled, and I think that's what really made me think about what was happening during all of the other tracks, and what made me come back here :)
I can't even believe I didn't see this when you asked! My greatest of apologies<3
For the soundtracks, certain contexts are good! With your example, in ACB when Ezio confronts Lucrezia happens I believe happens when either speaking to her after Cesare's betrayal, or the dlc which I unfortunately am not familiar with yet </3
For Ac3, context is important to me, for the track Connors life I believe is so so important to know his backstory and his emotions throughout the game, it's also his theme so in general you'll hear it within a lot of tracks(bonus as well!) as a motif because it represents him as a whole and I love Lorne Balfe for that whegahah
Certain OSTs like unity, don't need too much context imo. The songs are enjoyable and constantly you hear the same motif for the main theme in a lot of the tracks! But the track Put your mind at Elise is played at a time with Elise, Arno's lover, who is very key to the game and Arno's story. So it's a bit mixed for unity if I think about it hard enough
All of these OSTS have tracks that play throughout their respective games and that's what gives the games life imo, some tracks aren't included in the official OSTs, so I recommend going to YouTube and looking for unofficial ones that people have posted! There are some really good ones :)
Kingdom dance from tangled is SO perfect for the label of tarantella you're so right asker
I'm so glad you came back to ask<3 again sorry for my late posting!!🩵🩵

Jordan Davis Character Bio :)
Jordan Gregory Davis was born on April 7th 1993 (Aries bb) to Greg(ory) & Ellen Davis, making him 27 at the start of In the Wreckage (yes, it begins in 2020; no, COVID does not exist in this little fictional universe).
Jordan was raised in the Lorne Park Area of Mississauga, ON. He is an only child, though not for lack of trying on his parents part, and he is extremely close with both of his parents. They were always incredibly supportive of Jordan and his hockey endeavors/aspirations without ever being THOSE hockey parents (IYKYK). They are incredibly proud of his accomplishments, but have only ever wanted him to be happy, whatever that looks like. In a recent TikTok from the Bruins Dads Trip, Matt Grzelcyk's said that he is, "...more proud of him as a person than a hockey player," and that is exactly what Jordan's dad would say about him.
Jordan has been out to his parents since high school. His Uncle Hank (his dad's younger brother) is gay and him and his husband were always incredibly involved in Jordan's life. He was the ringbearer at their wedding. That, coupled with his parents' general attitude/beliefs/the way he was raised, never made him worry about coming out to them.
Jordan has been best friends with fellow (fictional) NHL player Bobby Aldridge since they met in the first grade.
Phyiscal Traits (Disregard if you like to create your own headcannon, I won't be offended):
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Inky Blue
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 210 is where he started the last season
Hockey Stats:
Position: Left Wing (doesn't always put up the biggest numbers, but is a SUPER strong two way forward and is very valuable on the penalty kill)
Draft Info: Entered the draft in 2011; was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres late in the 2nd round
Juniors: Spent 3 seasons in the OHL playing for the London Knights (2009 - 2012)
AHL: Spent the 2012 - 2013 season playing for the Rochester Americans
NHL Team #1: Buffalo Sabres: Fall 2013 - December 2016
NHL Team #2: Florida Panthers: December 2016 - for me to know & you to find out :)
Awards: Nominated for Selke Trophy multiple times, but never wins
Any other Jordan facts you're dying to know? I'm OBSESSED with character bios and cannon fun facts so feel free to ask away :)))

ok guys i'm really bad at making these kinds of decisions so i am going to. tumblr poll it. more info on these projects below the cut »
UNCHOSEN: 2nd draft. Total plot revamp + rewrite. 3rd person multipov sword-and-sorcery. – When the Chosen dies, her identical twin takes her place to keep their home from falling into chaos—but will she be enough to save the kingdom?
BEARSKIN: 3rd draft. Rewrite for pacing, new scenes, + clarity. 3rd person dual pov folktale-aes adventure with a mayfly-december romance. – When a hunter kills an ancient snow bear, her brother is stolen as payment by the fickle and enigmatic Prince of Always Night, and she must play her part in the Prince's game to win him back.
SALT & SILVER: 2nd draft. Slight plot revamp, rewrite. 3rd person dual pov frontier adventure. – The Alchemist has been hunting the tombs of gods in the wasteland, but she's not the only one. When she's attacked and a critical map is stolen, she and loyal town guard Emilián chase after the thief before any more harm is done—too late.
TGOED: 1st full draft. I've been struggling through starting this for way too long. 3rd person dual pov baroque-aes intrigue. A sort of reverse murder mystery. – Ophélie is a Spicer Decadent, a glorified guild assassin employed by a mysterious benefactor who wants to keep the Palace Royal on its toes. Everett was the crown prince—but now he's nothing more than a tutor, baring his teeth at the children who were supposed to replace him. And when he finds the Decadent with blood on her hands, he realizes with a sick joy that he would love nothing more than to watch his mother's empire crumble.
JACKDAW: 1st draft. It's gone through a lot of POV changes to get to this point lmao. 3rd person single pov with brief interludes, surreal fantasy. – Jackdaw wakes in a muddy riverbank. He doesn't know where he is, when he is, or how he got there—all he knows is that he used to be a god. He explores the strange little world of Lorne to find answers to his questions, and instead he finds more questions. For instance, what is his sister doing there, and why does she want him dead?
CANTICLE: 1st draft, technically. This is a very old WIP of mine and honestly it's been a lot of different things in the past. 1st person single pov high fantasy drama with an extremely unhealthy romance. – Six years ago, a Fifth Temple guard kidnapped a young acolyte to save her life. Now, as they eke out a life together in the downcity dark, they come ever closer to danger—and then the Fifth finds them. When the acolyte is stolen back, the guard delves into the clutches of the faithful, desperate to save her again.
SECRET 7TH OPTION: guys there are 50 other projects in my scriv files i'm not joking. i could spin any of them up. right now. but these are the projects I'd like to work on/finish at some point in the next year or so, with the others being fun things I'm starting or playing with on the side, less "solid info" to intro etc. ofc if y'all have any questions please please please ask me i am an absolute brat when given any kind of attention. i will love you. forever.
