Dear Vector Prime, does Magmatron exist in the Viron cluster?
Dear Dinosaur Denominator,
Not to my knowledge, but there is one individual to whom he bears a very strong resemblance. Like Magmatron, he possessed a tripartite spark which could be split across three separate beast modes, each embodying a different facet of his personality: Overkill, the Gigantosaurus; Divebomb, the Quetzalcoatlus; and Splashdown, the Elasmosaurus. As a combiner, they could merge to form a monstrous beast mode referred to as the “Dinosaurer”, in addition to their robot mode combination. He was named Trypticon—after the monstrous beast from Cybertronian legend.
Trypticon was eternally loyal to the Predacon Council, and was the first leader of the cel that came to be known as the “Dinobots”, named for their prehistoric alternate modes. In fact, Trypticon considered it his right to command all saurian Predacons, using intimidation to recruit even experienced veterans like Reachout, and he demanded viciousness from all of his warriors.
For much of the Cybertronian Civil War, Trypticon's domineering and cruelty went uncontested, but eventually the other Dinobots had enough, and a number of them conspired to bring about his downfall. They prevailed by isolating Trypticon's three components and preying on their individual weaknesses. Overkill was provoked into a berserker rage by Sludge, Snarl and Terrorsaur, who put him down once his mind became consumed by blind anger. For Divebomb, Terranotron and Grimlock took advantage of his pride, luring him high into the sky until he was within firing range of the team's ship, the Megalosaur. As for Splashdown, it was simply a matter of isolating him on dry land, where he was vulnerable to Slapper’s earthquakes and Triceradon’s flame breath.
With Trypticon gone, the power vacuum he left behind drew the Dinobots into infighting. While they shared a sense of relief, some were angry over having been excluded from the scheme, and some took the chance to transfer to new positions within the Predacons. The remaining Dinobots, those who had taken part in the plot, disagreed over who was the team’s rightful leader, and squabbled fiercely until Grimlock was eventually accepted in the role. But once they began dealing with the Predacon Council directly, they had their worst fears confirmed, as it became apparent that the brutal methods they had attributed to Trypticon’s ideology were in fact endemic throughout the faction—and with it seeming increasingly likely that an errant ex-Dinobot would tip off the Council as to what had transpired, they begrudgingly made the decision to defect to the Autobot side. For this, they would pay a steep price, when Terrorsaur was slain by a Predacon bounty hunter… but it was their pursuit of revenge which ultimately united the team, and gave them a righteous purpose.

I Hate how much Hasbro has a Better-Looking Giganotosaurus Design than the Other One from Jurassic World Dominion
(Maybe because I still remember Hasbro's Crappy Jurassic World Dinosaur Toys)

What happened to the Ironforge Guild after the Primal Vanguard found out they were helping Overlord?
The Ironforge Guild was formally disbanded after their involvement was discovered, and most of its members dropped off the radar despite the best efforts of law enforcement.
Only Magmatron himself has been recorded to have returned, and he seems... different, somehow.

Transformers: Mosaic #158 - "That'll Do"
Originally posted on May 16th, 2008

deviantART | Seibertron | TFW2005 | BotTalk
wada sez: In this prequel to The Gathering, Razorbeast, Spittor and Magmatron appear in their Cybertronian bodies as designed by Don Figueroa—Spittor's notably went on to inspire Animated Spittor. On BotTalk, Priest said: “Razorbeast is one of my favorite characters now thanks to his portrayal in IDW's BW comics, and I wanted to capture that nervous, insecure side of him that disappears as soon as it's time to get professional and put on a poker face. And for all his worrying about being caught, Magmatron barely even gives him a second glance. [...] I knew I wanted to write a Razorbeast piece. I ALMOST was gonna do a story about Razorbeast returning to Cybertron post-Beast Machines and title it "Pig in the City", but him dying in Ascending kinda kiboshed that...” The title, “That’ll Do”, references the famous quote “That’ll do, pig, that’ll do,” from the end of Babe.

"Magmatron, beast modes! Landsaurus! Seasaurus! Skysaurus!"
Tumblr media
Recently just got this Magmatron piece done in preparation for his eventual Legacy toy, along with trying some new brushes. Everything was mostly comic but with some Dual Brushes & acrylic gouache for the background. Just in case, Landsaurus is a Giganotosaurus, seasaurus a Elasmosaurus, and skysaurus being a Quetzalcoatlus

Dear Vector Prime, exactly what is the Transmetal Driver? Megatron just seemed to have it without any explanation, and all we know of its powers is it stores Vok data, can upgrade techno-organics to Transmetal 2s, and even in some instances repair fatal wounds or even revive the dead, in the case of Blackarachnia.
Dear Driver Delver,
The Vok’s infamous “Planet Buster” was more than just a simple superweapon. During the Vok’s stay on Earth, the enigmatic aliens initially moved the artificial moon into prehistoric Earth’s orbit to act as a blunt terraforming instrument: its gravitational influence caused increased tectonic activity, which made it easier for the Vok to seed the young world’s crust with abundant supplies of raw energon. More importantly, however, the artificial moon’s unprepossessing surface concealed a sophisticated suite of sensory instruments and a interconnected network of data spheres, each one a library of information relating to the project: at any given moment, the moon was scanning the world below and gathering raw data on the planet’s atmospheric conditions, the evolution of its flora and fauna, and the development of sapient life-forms.
When the Cybertronians carelessly blundered into the Vok’s careful laboratory, automated sensors aboard the moon turned a fragment of its attention to the aliens. Using scans of Optimus Primal’s biology, combined with ongoing observation of what the Transformers dubbed the “Beast Wars”, the moon gathered a great deal of data regarding their biology, history, and sociology. In time, its archives had gathered and processed all the necessary data required to forge and program a protoform from raw materials, then improve upon the base design to create genetically modified warriors whose sparks could crystallize into solid form to manifest supernatural telekinetic abilities—until the day moon’s frustrated creators put their contingency plan into play and wiped the slate clean.
The Planet Buster’s destruction rained chunks of debris across the planet and wiped out almost all of the Vok’s accumulated Earth archives—save for a small fragment of the Planet Buster which fell to Earth and remained buried in a riverbank for some time until the Predacon Inferno discovered the strange device while on patrol. Intrigued by the alien data encoded within the disk, Megatron experimented further on what he dubbed the “Transmetal driver”, and its hard-coded ability to manipulate the Cybertronian genome to create enhanced warriors. However, the Transmetal driver had been damaged by its passage through Earth’s atmosphere and corrupted by the quantum surge. Cybertronians exposed to its energies did indeed evolve into stronger forms, but both their robot and alternate forms became monstrous amalgamations of organic flesh and living metal, and most struggled to control their own beast mode instincts. Combined with the long-lasting effects of the quantum surge, some of the crashed stasis pods on Earth, who would go on to play a role in the conflict between Magmatron and Razorbeast, would be affected to varying degrees by the long-distance radiation it produced over time.
