There's Lots of Reasons Why I Prefer the G1/IDW Versions of the Transformers Way More than "Bayformers"

MOLDS PREPOSED OH TINY TITANS
For March's Patreon-backed @tfwiki pictures, I'm plugging some gaps in the Tiny Titans coverage, particularly the not-Robots in Disguise ones, because I love the RID-style renditions pf characters not from RID. Like these bots from Series 2 above. Stylin'!
Each series of Tiny Titans has 12 figures, 4 each cast from one of three colors of plastic. Topspin's design there is... I'm not sure where it came from. Definitely a more liberal interpretation of the original.
G1 and RID make up most of the Tiny Titans, but not all of them! We got a few others, like Beast Wars Megatron thrown into the mix starting in Series 3. They also tried some more dynamic posing. Which uh... yeah.
After the first Series, this line wasn't heavily carried by big-box retailers, mainly showing up in drug stores... usually. Series 4 (where Inferno and Roadbuster here come from) as well as Series 2 were largely skipped by even those outlets, making these 24 figures harder to find.
There were some repeat characters across the line. The G1 Optimus from Series 5 was actually the second G1 Optimus. Plus pretty much all the main cast of RID ultimately had two figures. Curiously, there was never a G1-style Megatron Tiny Titan. An unexpected omission.
Okay, so... that knife Unicron got. Let's be real. That's pretty sweet. Yes, it's overkill for a being the size of a freakin' planet but like, it's Unicron, "overkill" is like half the point. Also it's interesting how often we see Cheetor in his Beast Machines form over the years.
If you dig these looks through the corners of the Transformers toy timeline, consider tossing a tuppence into my Patreon! Every little bit helps get more and more pictures up.

TF Surge: So, Megatron ended up being the Decepticon high command's token allistic.
I have to come up with some autistic Autobots too or this could look bad, even though Surge is pretty morally grey.
The problem is that i don't really know or care about very many Autobots. So i can't think of anybody except Perceptor whose G1 bio is very autistic-coded but didn't give him personality besides being nice, perhaps First Aid because G1 First Aid's bio maies it sound like he has hyperempathy, maybe Prowl but he's morally dubious and might be outright a war criminal....
Okay mood on knowing less about the autobots than decepticons, but I've seen headcanons regarding a few different versions of Optimus (I've seen it for G1 at least once I think?) being autistic so there's that!
I've also seen suggestions regarding Ultra Magnus / Minimus Ambus in IDW and OCD, which would make sense considering how I interpreted his character
Dunno if Rodimus / Hot Rod is involved here but I know for a fact I'm not the only one who thinks he's got ADHD in IDW, and I've seen other versions of Hot Rod can be interpreted as that too
I do admit I'm still unfamiliar with Marvel g1 and I don't remember much of the g1 cartoon because to me it all kind of blended together for me

A small custom job done on a busted Takara Legends Blackarachnia (her elbow joint is cracked), using pedipalps from a junk Animated Blackarachnia.
I've been meaning to do this for a long time as the stick-figure, pencil thin waist, always bugged me and I thought the spider mode with the waving "boob" mouthparts looked stupid. Swapping out parts like this fixes that issue for me.
I also swapped out her predacon insignia for a Decepticon one as I recently sold off all my beast wars figures except this one and Tarantulas (who I'm using in my Earthspark shelf, at least until/if an official warrior or Deluxe Earthspark one is released), so I wanted her to fit in with the rest of my Decepticon femmes.

Shelly wanted her own Transformers figure. So she claimed my Generations Red Alert. Isn't it fun when your fur babies take an interest in your hobbies? 🙄
