I was never a huge fan of Lou Reed’s music but apparently I just wanted him to sound like this.

Sooooo I need opinions. I made these book covers months ago and just used a few black-and-white images that fit the mood of the book. (For example, book 3 is the Nuka-World focus so there's a ferris wheel in the background, and book 4 has an abandoned insane asylum because it focuses partially on the Cabot quests and my OC desperately searching for a ghoulism cure.) Then I used Canva for the text. I'm in love with the colorful text and matching styles, which is why I used a black-and-white photo.

But now I kinda want to draw my book covers, featuring the main character(s) that they're about, because I may wind up making mini-books in between to feature some mentionable characters. Like, I kinda want to make one about Shaun (aka Liam in my book) about his time spent in the Institute, and maybe one about Danse after his accident (no spoilers).

For the Fallout February exchange, I have no drawing skills so here’s a sweet lil fic for @makkuromurasaki and Hancock!!

The gentle summer wind blew through the tiny holes of their old tent. If she tilted her head and squinted, she could see the stars above. Valerie never had seen the stars so clear before, it was breathtaking. Beside her, the mayor of Goodneighbor slept with a smile on his face.

They admitted feelings over dinner, Hancock wrung the life out of his centuries old hat, like he was that small boy on the water front all over again.

Val, baby I love you.

It was strange, being in love in a world like this. Hancock’s fingers wrapped around hers, held close to his chest. She tilted her head closer to his, listening to his breathing, watching his chest fall and rise.

Valerie was close to waking him up, just to kiss him once more. He promised he wasn’t going to leave, she wanted the rest of their lives to begin already, willing the sun to rise.

Instead she gazed up at the stars, heart swelling.

“Thank you,” she whispered.

What she was thankful for, and to who, Valerie couldn’t say. He stirred, snuggling close.

“Well look at you, I must still be dreaming.”

Sunlight highlighted his features, giving Valerie a toothy grin. He brushed her hair out of her face, placing a kiss on her cheeks.

“Hey, handsome.”

“We don’t need to get up, do we?”

They settled into camp far enough from the road, but not far enough into the woods. She weighted the logistics in her head, doubtful that any raiders would pounce any moment.

“Oh, I suppose so. It’s a weekend after all.”

“A what?”

“A day off, maybe even two.”

He smiled, pulling her by the waist closer to him. She smelled like wild flowers, what he felt now was better than any chem.

Eventually, they rose from the the tent. Hancock was set on wooing her even more, making her coffee and breakfast. As she packed up her gear, he gathered a bouquet. He wasn’t sure why he felt he needed to this, maybe just because he hadn’t done a thing like this in years. Maybe because Valerie just deserved it.

“Val, baby I love you.”

“I love you.”

Hancock wandered throughout his life, a lone ghost of himself. Yet there he was; the sun shining, fire crackling, and the most beautiful woman he ever met looking at him like he was the only thing that mattered.

This is where he belonged, there wasn’t any going back.

Whelp... I only have the one fanfic so... from what will be my last chapter of Wraith in the Ruins, The Living End:

😅 Anymore and I'd give too much away, but that really is the last line I wrote this morning.

As far as art wips; whooooo boy I've bunches. Most of which are literal lines and circles and aren't worth showing, but here are some with substance:

I don't have any written wips out of outline stage at this exact moment, so have some arts wips.

I got Ibis Paint on my phone so I could draw in bed, but I've mostly been using it to get composition sketches down while they're fresh in my head. 1. August out somewhere near Foundation sitting with a small cooking station. 2. Some atmosphere perspective weirdness inside Gate City Drugs. 3. That thing with Choly, Wanda, and that weird fungus stuff from Chapter 85, "Pr¡soner's C!nema."

I took one of my Ibis phone thumbnails to feel out the Nuka-Love ghoulified design for my OC Strasti, and repainted it with CSP. She needs more texture and her outfit needs some tlc, but I'm happy with her so far. And then there's a wip for the beginning of my Courier Mauve's storyline. It's going to be four pages, if I can get myself to finish it.

Because I have this habit of sketching out loads of vague scenes with dialogue in one bloated google doc and trying to string it together into a fic or a comic, I’ll just paste a few bits here. I don’t know enough people to include all the WIP in the creativity graveyard tbh.

I, admittedly, have one wip that's worth a damn, so here is the last chunk I wrote for Where the Dust Settles!

Hancock snorted, taking another deep inhale. “Must be nice.” “It ain’t about nice. I just … gotta let her love me, ya know?” He leant forward, grinding his teeth. “We still talking about you and Monica?” Fahrenheit grinned, feral at the edges. Her freckles and red hair were all her mother; her height, her large, broad hands, her double jointed elbows were all maternal genetic markers. But those blue eyes, deep and hollowed and mad were all John McDonough. “I dunno old man, are we?”

Nick's synthetic brows were furrowed as Erika concluded her story. He had his elbows on the desk and his fingertips together, the metal digits of his skinless hand glinting from the fluorescent bulbs as he tapped them against the others.

"That's quite a story," he acknowledged. "It's up there with mine, and believe me, that's saying something." Nick quirked his lip at her. His electric yellow eyes were as bright as ever, and she realized she'd never be able to read them.

ty so very much @makkuromurasaki for tagging me! i am, embarrassingly, not super familiar with most of the artists on your list although i listened to art angels by grimes almost exclusively when it came out.

i've pretty much been listening to the same three folk musicians since i was 14, although otherwise, i have a pretty broad music taste (and a 100+ spotify playlists, yikes). but! a lot of that is incredibly niche, so i filtered some out for the sake of this.
