Ok so The band is called Ghost!!! Y'know how Gorillaz has its whole shtick about being an animated band releasing real music? Ghost is the same way except not animated; the band is made up of the lead singer, currently Papa Emeritus IV (aka Copia) and a bunch of demons called the Nameless Ghouls. The band is also a satanic church! Papa is sort of like a priest (which is why he's Papa-- a mockery of calling priests father) and the other members are the Siblings of Sin. We're currently on Papa IV, but there were actually Four papas before him: Papa Nihil, Papa I, Papa II, and Papa III. Papa Nihil started the band and is also the father of papas 1-3. He may or may not also be the father of Copia; it's never confirmed but it's implied that he's the bastard child of Nihil and Sister Imperator (another high ranking member of the church) Ok now the ghouls. There's lots of them and we don't know who's under the masks. First there's Omega, aka Aether or Quintessence, he's the sorta lader of the ghouls!! He plays lead guitar, and you can tell him apart from the other guitarists by the fact his guitar is black. He also wears a lot of rings. He's overall chill but he does like to fuck around, especially with Alpha, aka Dewdrop, the other lead guitarist. Alpha has immense short guy rage syndrome lmao and he's kinda an asshole (affectionate) Then there's Rain, the base guitarist. He's got mega anxiety which is a little problematic considering metal band lmao but he's a sweetheart Mountain is the drummer and on the rare case that Omega doesn't have the braincell, he has it. He's a gentle giant and he's kinda like the group therapist lmao Then there's Swiss, short for Swiss Army Ghoul; he bounces around and plays whatever he's needed, usually keys or aux percussion. He's a chill dumbass, would totally eat candles just to piss off Multi, the other multi-purpose ghoul. She's sisterly and very cute and goes HARD on the keytar There's a few more ghouls but those are the main ones Back to the papas Copia loves rats and is an introvert and rides a tricycle around the church and it's great Papa III aka Terzo is… A whore NEHRKWB he's my personal fav papa and he's fucking ridiculous and he's clumsy (he's fallen on stage many times, the only papa to do so) and he's totally trans cus fuck you OKAY. SONGS From The Pinnacle to the Pit is about the fall of Lucifer and it goes HARD. The bassline is sooooo good!!! Rain sounds amazing Year Zero is about the birth of the antichrist and it goes super hard. At the beginning it chants the names of demons and ohhhhhhh man it slaps Square Hammer is such a good song I spent like 14 hours making a cover of it :D it goes super fucking hard Dance Macabre is what happens when Ghost tries to write a love song and it goes super hard Mummy Dust has SUCH a good key part!!!! In the wise words of papa himself it is one heavy motherfucker. And Cirice. Ohhhhh Cirice. Cirice is so good it won a fucking Grammy. It legit gives me chills to this fucking day. It's about how the church manipulates the masses and it's so fucking good. If you take one thing away from this rant it's that Cirice is one of the best songs ever written. so that's ghost ! now you know way too much about the band that made me a satanist <3 i will gladly send you pictures of any of the characters if you're interested

im rewatching jatp instead of studying for the 3 tests i have tomorrow and i thought i would share my thoughts and reactions with each episode so enjoy!!....

wake up

- hearing the “1, 2, 3″ at the start of the episode gives me more serotonin than my antidepressants ever will

- julie’s slippers...that’s it...that’s the thought

- that dry ass pasta the molina’s are eating for dinner??? someone needs to give my man ray some cooking tips or a cookbook... something

-the looks the boys give julie when she says it was an OLD cd she found. as if they could be old??

-the entire julie and luke kitchen scene i mean there are no words to describe how much i am in love with scene. the banter, the flirting, luke giving this girl he literally just met an actual PIECE OF HIS SOUL so she can get music back into her life. not a single time have i watched that scene and not felt my heart literally grow cause of how cute they are. 

-the entire scene when julie is singing wake up. that scene is what made me literally CRAVE watching the other episodes. like of course i was going to watch them cause i wasn’t gonna just stop watching a show after one episode, and yes the show was good already but seeing the lighting and her voice, and just everything about the scene,,,,*chef’s kiss*

- the flow from whatever the hell dance nick and julie are doing and the perfect harmony dance is so special to me and i love it

- going back to that line i could say so much about it but....for someone who’s life was literally MUSIC for the 17 years he was alive, and after finding out he could play music again even though he was dead and saying it made him feel alive, he would give that up- he would give up playing his guitar, playing in a band with his friends, give up writing and singing music- if he wasn’t doing that with julie. that’s more than saying i love you,,,that’s literally like saying i’d give up my ENTIRE LIFE and what i love to do if i dont get to do it with you

sigh do you have some aeron headcanons to warm our souls on this cold night

YES I DO ANON. Gonna do modern AU Aeron because canon Aeron’s life makes me cry

Aeron is obviously a youth pastor at a camp for troubled kids that the faith of the Drowned God runs. 

He also moonlights as a volunteer paramedic and is the scariest paramedic many people have ever seen. Man has zero bedside presence and several times he’s rescued people from drowning only to start berating them for swimming in dangerous areas with clear signs that indicate DANGER all around.

Tiktok eboy Theon is well established so at once stage Aeron swallows his pride and asks Theon how to be down with the youth tm. This results in a horrifying moment where Aeron comes to camp dressed in Theon’s eboy clothes but still with his cryptid seaweed hair.

He plays the guitar and sings the westerosi equivalent of modern christian rock except for some reason (he’s gay your honour) he always picks the ballad-y songs with really high notes. So when the kids try to sing along it sounds like a bunch of cats being murdered.

He has a small hydroponic garden with tomatoes he grows to honour the Drowned God and Theon and Asha keep planting weed in it and telling Aeron its “Myrish parsley”. Aeron was young once he isnt stupid. But it isnt hurting anyone so he pretends he doesnt know and sometimes to get back at them he steals it. Him and the drowned men smoke a j and have a bonfire party.

He attends some of those interfaith conferences but he hates them and is rude to everyone. Him and Melissandre have gotten into a fistfight in a parking lot while Moqorro filmed, because Melissandre said the Drowned God was the Great Other.

He met Falia Flowers at a food bank he helped run because she got pregnant when she was a teenager and had to drop out of school and couldn’t find a job that would hire her because of her son.

Aeron offers her a job at the youth camp and she is sort of the receptionist/logistic manager. She plans field trips for the kids!

Falia and Aeron are really good friends!!

Him and Theon get closer as they get older. They are both abuse survivors and in this AU they get therapy and go on to live rich and fulfilling lives

One time he was driving somewhere and Theon and Jeyne needed a lift as did Victarion and Asha. They were all going in the same direction so Aeron suggested a road trip and that they all chip in for gas money. It was the noodle incident of the family. No one ever speaks of it again but they never reached their destination, Victarion ended up tied to the roof of car, and Theon projectile vomited from the backseat all over Asha who was sitting up front.

Aeron is actually quite sensible but when hes around Balon he relinquishes control of his braincells. Balon will be like “trickle down economics works and if poor people want to be rich they should follow the iron way” and Aeron will be like “so true king” forgetting that he basically lives in a religious commune.
