"hey yeah we didn't feel like doing long questlines anymore :) sorry!" feels like an ao3 author's note who stops posting and leaves their fics unfinished on chapter 25/27 because they moved fandoms, except this is a (supposedly) professional company getting paid to produce a product people are paying for who are just leaving not just the event questline but like half a dozen proper questlines in general abandoned and unfinished in their game on what is essentially a whim.
Finishing a project is a skill that is quite literally expected of university students, let alone working adults, and offering good experiences to your players means giving them satisfactory endings to quests after stringing them along for years.
Any goddamn professional who goes "hey these long questlines aren't working, lets shift to a more stand-alone shorter style of quest development" should still have the goddamn decency to finish the ongoing quests instead of abandoning them entirely. It's messy and immature not to.
"oooo but [insert name] left the company!! so we don't know how to finish it :(" the only thing less professional than just throwing shit out unfinished is to have entire parts of your process rely on a single person with no way to pick it back up if that person gets sick/quits/gets fired. do fucking better.

Teddy and Manda posing for a picture like "we're contest besties, keep scrolling--"
So anyway this is me saying please info dump about Pokemon Teddy I'd fucking LOVE to hear--

As a fantasy reader, you might be drawn to the novels of J.R.R. Tolkien, George R.R. Martin, and other masters of the genre. summary: when ezra overhears sabine reciting a mandalorian custom, ezra regrets all the years he's missed out on. word count: 1K a/n: i came up with this fic during my mando'a studies. my goal is to someday write an entire fic in mando'a, complete with a work skin that'll include a mando'an font. that dream is still many years off though, but until then, here's a fic inspired by a little bit of manda-lore i've learned!   taglist:@laughingphoenixleader @accidental-spice @kanerallels @piraterefrigerator @jedi-nurse @dootchster @lucasbridger @redroverrider @light-umbra @commander-tech {if you’d like to be added to or removed from my Sabezra taglist, let me know!}
also on ao3!
Here For You Now
It took Ezra a moment to figure out why he'd fallen asleep on the floor, less than a foot away from his bed. He would've totally assumed that he'd fallen off the bed in his sleep again (it was less than a foot's drop; he'd slept through it before,) but the pile of blankets underneath him told him this was definitely intentional. He couldn't quite piece together why he would've done something like this though— until he heard a murmured whisper coming from the bed, a voice he almost thought he was just imagining again, until he remembered that yesterday was the day he'd spent over a decade waiting for.
 Sabine had found him.
And, since his trailer offered little in the way of comfort, he'd let Sabine take the bed and offered to sleep on the floor instead. Good hospitality, he'd called it, something he'd learned well from the Noti, and also a way to say "thank you" for coming all this way just to bring him home. (And in actuality, he'd never make his favorite person in this [and any] galaxy sleep on the floor— and also he knew he'd irreversibly stumble over his words if he suggested they try to share the bed.)
But despite being on the floor and definitely sore from it, it was one of the best wakeups he'd had in years— certainly the one that ushered in the most hope along with it.
Though he'd never lost faith in Sabine, hope had been in short supply the past year or so— that is, until yesterday, when the Noti had told him that they found a girl ("your girl," their language put it, and he was too ecstatic to disagree) and she'd come to the camp looking for him. He'd never thought she'd looked more beautiful than she did when she saw him, and gave him a smile that conveyed the same genuine joy and total disbelief he was feeling.
And now he woke up knowing she was here, and it wasn't another stupid dream about her return: she was on Perida, actually with him, quietly chanting something in Mando'a.
"Ni su'cuyi gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum."
Ezra wasn't sure what she was mumbling about, but it felt almost like some kind of meditation, or a prayer. His interest was piqued when he heard the next two words, and he looked up to see her sitting cross legged with her eyes closed.
"Kanan Jarrus. Ursa Wren. Alrich Wren. Tristan Wren. Ahsoka Tano. Ni su'cuyi gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli, gar darasuum."
Sabine sighed, and there was a moment of silence.
"What's that?" Ezra asked, once he was sure she'd finished.
"Ah-wha?" Sabine started, apparently not having known Ezra was even awake "it's nothing. Just an old Mandalorian tradition. I didn't mean to wake you up. Did you sleep alright?"
"What kind of old Mandalorian tradition?" Ezra asked, completely disregarding her attempts to divert the conversation.
 "Nothing," Sabine shook her head.
"Didn't seem like nothing to you."
"Well, it's nothing that matters to you," Sabine said.
"Everything you…" Ezra stopped mid-sentence, knowing that if he said "everything you say maters to me," she might start to think he had feelings for her— which he did, but he was pretty sure she still didn't feel the same way, and he didn't want to run the risk of scaring off his only ride back home. So, he switched trains of thought.
"You mentioned Kanan," Ezra shook his head.
Sabine looked at him, and in her eyes he saw the softness and pain she was trying all too well to hide. He smiled slightly, nodded slightly, raised his eyebrows slightly, tried to remind her with merely a look that her secrets were safe with him.
 Sabine sighed.
"It's a remembrance," she offered, "'I am alive, but you are dead.'" she shook her head as she choked out the words, "'I remember you, so you are eternal.'"
Ezra smiled a little at the sentiment, at keeping the memory of someone alive long after they're gone— but then he realized that the names of her family were included in that list.
"You mentioned your family too," Ezra said, quietly, "Are they…?"
 Sabine nodded, "they're gone."
 "And Ahsoka?"
"I think so," she said, the words petering out as a single breath.
Ezra thought he saw a tear trickle down her cheek as she looked away from him. He didn't fight the urge to climb up onto the bed next to her and wrap an arm around her for comfort. He realized after he did so that he'd taken a gamble, and she was likely to be annoyed by his attempt to comfort her, so he was surprised when, instead of twisting away from him, she actually leaned closer, accepting the shoulder he gave her to cry on.
"I'm so sorry, Sabine," Ezra whispered, with no idea what other words he could even offer.
"There's nothing you could've done," Sabine said, "there's nothing anyone could've done."
Ezra remembered thinking the same thing when the empire took his parents, that there was nothing anyone could've done to help him— but that didn't mean he didn't want anyone to.
"I could've been there for you," Ezra shook his head, "I should've been there for you. Kriff, I've missed out on so much."
Sabine lifted her head off his shoulder and looked up at him.
"But I am here for you now," Ezra said, letting go of her and resting his hand on the bed behind her, "if you wanna talk about it at all."
Sabine shook her head and looked away.
"I don't wanna talk about it."
"Alright," Ezra nodded, "is there anything I can do?"
"Could you just sit here with me?" Sabine asked.
 "Absolutely," Ezra smiled.
They treasured a moment's silence, before Sabine leaned a little closer, resting her head on his arm again. She glanced up at him as a smile crossed his face, and he rested his head on top of hers.
Maybe he hadn't been there for her for the last few years. Maybe there were a lot of moments she'd needed him that he missed out on.
But this moment? It wasn't going to be one of them— he was here for her now, and that's what mattered.
And he wasn't going to stop being there for her ever again.

•When sounds travel far and wide, A stormy day will betide.
•Flies bite more before a rain.
•If birds fly low expect rain and a blow
•Killing a black snake and hanging it on a fence with its belly turned to the sun will bring rain before the next sunset.

•Thick, tight shucks on corn indicate bad weather
•If you hear locusts singing, it means dry weather lies ahead
•The wider the stripes on a skunk the harder the winter would be
•If smoke from a fire rises, expect clear skies. If it rolls along the ground, expect storms
•If the rooster crows on going to bed, you may rise with a watery head
•When a cow endeavors to scratch his ear, it means a rain shower is very near. When he thumps his ribs with an angry tail, look out for thunder, lightning and hail.

hello i would like to hear about your “jaster never adopted jango” analysis
(LOVE your jaster art. im also inhaling crumbs)
(thank you for the compliment!!! I want to draw more of him sometime.  perhaps from one of the many ‘jaster lives’ aus i’ve seen lmao)
Tumblr media
Alright here we go gamers. strap in i'll try to organize my thoughts coherently.
It all comes back to "The Mandalorian: Season 2, Chapter 14", where Boba gets his armor back and shows Din his chain code to prove it belongs to him. Din's immediate reaction is "your father was a foundling", which seems to raise Din's opinion of Boba (but that's. another thing altogether lmao).
So this establishes that, not only was Jango a Mandalorian, but that he was specifically a foundling. Okay, what does this mean?
Foundlings, as portrayed in The Mandalorian, were kids from outside of the clans who were rescued and brought into the fold. They were raised by the clan until they could be 'reunited with their own kind' or came of age, where they could choose to swear the creed, or leave. Jango could not be returned to his family, since they were all killed, so Jaster raised him as a foundling, and we can guess based on the fact Jango's still running around in beskar'gam twenty years later, he swore in. HOWEVER.
Being raised as a foundling is different than being adopted! Foundlings raised in Din's covert were not part of the Clans, but if they swore the creed, they could go on to form their own (re: din and grogu forming Clan Mudhorn).
Okay, what does this have to do with Jango and Jaster? Once again, we wheel back to the scene where Boba shows Din his chain code. Remember, Din takes one look at this, and knows automatically that Jango was a foundling:
Tumblr media
(source, a translation of Boba's chain code).
The most notable part here is that it lists Jango as Boba's father, but Jaster as Jango's mentor. The "Mentor/Father" distinction is key to my theory here lmao.
We know that Mandalorian's have a proclivity for adoption, but it seems to be limited to children of other Mandalorians, and that 'new blood' like foundlings are less likely to be adopted and typically form their own clans instead. Another source for this theory actually comes straight from the OG "Open Seasons" comic that goes over Jango's backstory and formally introduces Jaster.
Tumblr media
(pictured; Frames from Jango Fett: Open Seasons, Volume 2. Montross is essentially harrassing Jango for “not really being Jaster’s son”.  Also of note: normally I hesitate to source Open Seasons because so much of it is outdated lore, or downright racist or misogynistic, but. We’re going back to the beginning here)
This comic was published before a lot of the existing lore on Mandalorians was established (re: the “Republic Commando” Novels by Karen Traviss), but if we take it in that context, Montross saying Jango isn’t “really” Jaster’s son implies that Jango hasn’t been adopted, that the gai bal manda (mandalorian adoption vow) hasn’t been said.  Adopted children ordinarily have no difference in standing, and typically no distinction is made between adopted and biological children, so Montross saying Jango isn’t Jaster’s son - I’m inclined to believe Montross.
(though Montross does later get Jaster killed in this issue so lmao.  He’s trying to needle Jango here - and I’m sure Jango himself might’ve questioned why Jaster hadn’t adopted him).
If Jaster never adopted Jango, this could be why in The Clone Wars, Season 2, Episode 12: The Mandalore Plot, Prime Minister Almec states: “Jango Fett was a common Bounty Hunter -- How he got that armor is beyond me”.   (This was apparently very controversial when this episode came out - saying Jango wasn’t a Mandalorian after all? In Meta, the reasoning was that the Mandalorians should be more than a mercenary company).
If Jaster never adopted Jango, this could be reason why Jango was not part of Mandalore’s records.  Then again, Din’s name was apparently listed in a registry on Mandalore proper, so another question is: why isn’t Jango listed there? I have a few options:
1: Jango’s presumed death upon starting the Kamino Contract meant he was removed from any registries.
2: Jango’s earlier presumed death after Galidraan (and his subsequent time in slavery) meant he was removed from the registries.
3: Jaster’s Death on Korda IV meant Jango was removed from the records, since his Mentor died (kind of a stretch, since Jango seems to have already sworn the Resol’nare at this point).
4: Concord Dawn kept it’s own registries (possible, but unlikely, given Din was registered on Mandalore after being in the ass end of the galaxy (sorry, Aq Ventina)).
Anyway, Jango’s mandalorian status nonwithstanding, this doesn’t entirely explain why Jaster wouldn’t have just adopted Jango, since Jaster is well aware there is no one for Jango to go back to. So why didn’t he? I have another couple thoughts!
1: The funnier, albeit less likely (in my opinion) is that Jaster couldn’t legally adopt Jango because he is technically a convicted murderer (re: the republic commando novels, Jaster was exiled from Concord Dawn after murdering a fellow Journeyman Protector for corruption - likely Jaster caught him in the act of some Nasty Things and he was compelled by his own moral code to kill him).  Even mandalorian’s i’m sure have legal statues against letting ‘violent criminals’ formally adopt children (though the Foundling loophole clearly still stands lmao.  Also, as Mand’alor, i’m sure Jaster could just.  Adopt anyway aklsdjflkasdj)
2: More likely in my opinion, is that Jaster didn’t adopt Jango out of respect for Jango’s old family.  If an old friend died suddenly and you took in their kid, you wouldn’t want to replace them as the kid’s parent, right?
Jango was about ten years old when his parent’s were killed by Death Watch - plenty old to remember them fondly, recognize them as his ‘only parents’, and certainly old enough to get hostile with anyone who tries to replace them.  I’m sure this isn’t uncommon among mandalorians or foundlings, so Jaster may have recognized the potential hostility and was extremely clear on not replacing his parents.
Tumblr media
(pictured: clip from Jango Fett: Open Seasons, Volume 1 showing Jango’s father leaving food out for a ‘beggar’. Someone  somewhere once used the name Cassius for Jango’s father, and it’s what I use - gotta inject a KOTOR reference somwhere, right?).
Jango’s father was covering for Jaster when Death Watch came knocking - He trusted Jaster enough to leave out food and put his family at risk for Jaster’s sake.  It’s entirely possible they grew up together on Concord Dawn, or, barring that, were close friends as they were both Journeymen Protectors.  He’s still covering for Jaster even as he’s beaten within an inch of his life in front of his family.
Tumblr media
(Pictured: Poor Dad Fett getting beat up while Death Watch threatens to kill him in front of Jango.  Dad says he Hasn’t seen Jaster since he was exiled.)
This is all to say, beyond the ordinary treatment of foundling’s it’s entirely possible Jaster didn’t want to adopt Jango, as doing so would remove one of Jango’s only remaining connections to family - Jango is a Fett first and foremost, and adopting him into Clan Mereel would remove him from that. (the Fett clan is old as hell, predating the Vizsla’s, but that’s another sidebar lmao).
Also super minor, but.  What kind of kid calls their parent by their first name? lmao.
Tumblr media
In summary: Din’s reaction to Boba’s Chain code implies that Jango wasn’t adopted, and ye olde Open Season’s Comics support this in various ways - from Montross’ dialogue to Jaster’s relationship with Jango’s family.  Even if he wasn’t fomally adopted, Jaster and Jango recognized each other as family and the respect that came with it.
I’ll leave you with my favorite frame from Open Seasons, lmao.  baby jango you are so cute

I really like the idea that din was raised by a zabrack Mando ie the armourer but idk what the ex death watch Mando is but I like to think mirialan but death watch seemed to concist of only humans
I like to think he left with his group of mandos cause of what they did to arla fett or finding out about it which might be a problem lore wise but I can see a lot of young Manda leaving due to being lied to about what death watch actually does but Death watch did make propaganda so it would make sense why so many joined them at the beginning
Doesn’t surprise me why Disney likes them so much but that’s another topic

💥 I feel like this is a loaded question considering canon right now lmao
💥 What is one canon thing that you wish you could change?
Oh it is loaded as fuck but I already know the answer and it's the one thing that I think could've changed the entire trajectory of The Mandalorian:
Don't reunite Din and Grogu in Boba Fett's fucking show.
The decision to do so because Disney was such chickenshits and Favs didn't want to ruin the successful formula of the first two seasons did, in my not so humble opinion, so much damage to both Din and Grogu as well as the future of the show.
Boba Fett lost the spotlight to them. We spent 1.5 episodes on them and where the fuck was Boba the entire time? Standing in the background in silence for like 10 seconds in one of those episodes. Personally, if you decide your season/show has less than 12 episodes, you have to make them count. And while I appreciate all the Manda-lore in the 5th episode, it should've been slotted into Season 3 of The Mandalorian where that lore actually fucking mattered.
(don't even get me started on how they handled Cobb Vanth and Cad Bane omigod he truly was the precursor to how they wrote Gideon in Season 3 jfc)
Back when I thought The Mandalorian was Din Djarin, I wanted to see him develop as a character without Grogu. What is he like now that his quest is over and he's lost everything except for this stupid Darksaber? How does he cope without Grogu? How does he grow, or does he devolve without Grogu at his side? Episodes 5 and 6 baffled me but the decision to reunite with Grogu in episode 7 felt so fucking wrong. Can you not trust your characters and your audience, Favreau?
Hearing about Grogu's "arc" in Season 3, he really should not have come back in Boba Fett's fucking show. I think he should've spent more time off-screen or in short scenes with Luke and Artoo on Ossus. It's probably the Dinluker in me but I'd have loved to see Luke try to reach out to Din about Grogu, either about his progress or his desire to return to his father.
The decision to have them reunite in Boba Fett's fucking show so that they'd be together at the start of Season 3 just tells me that Favloni wants to play it super safe by not letting Din and Grogu grow as characters separately and then together as a family unit, and it tells me Disney/Lucasfilm is buckling down on "we want to MCU-fy the 'Mandoverse'" and "money, money, money". I get that they're trying to recoup the cost of buying the franchise and trying to make up for their losses with D+, but like, haven't you already done enough fucking damage with the Sequel Trilogy? Are we really doing this again?
Then again, I got fooled twice so I guess I'm the fool. Thank god that Dinluke remains such an insanely compelling ship. This ship is just so good for my soul, Anon.
Oh god I'm so sorry for the rant. I'm sticking a few extra tags on this post so that people can filter this post out if they want to.

I watched Season 3 of The Mandalorian
The added world-building was very appreciated, and I don't think Bo-Katan has been taking the spotlight away from Din Djarin as much as some people have complained. The only real problem I noticed was the pacing, which the critics had already pointed out as far as I saw.
Also, this season, the second-to-last episode of Season 2, the entire Manda-Lore (sorry for the pun) ever since Mandalorians were named on-screen and debuted on the 3D-animated Clone Wars TV series... All of this is hitting pretty close to home (perhaps closer than it probably should) for me as an Argentinean in 2024.
No, I'll not elaborate.

If i was waitifng for the right excuse to uninstall fortnite and it's already here: They're adding FUCKING ELLA BAILA SOLA DE PESO PLUMA AL PUTO FORTNITE FESTIVAL CHINGADAMADRE PUTA MUSICA DE NARCOS WANNABE.

Welcome! To Manda Tries To Talk About One of Her SSO OCs Without Spoiling Her Longfic!
So, now that Dorian's little poll thing trend is going around I really felt an itch to talk about my horse game OCs. One problem, however, I'm the author of a lore heavy, rewrite fic of which one of my OCs is the main character of. Nevertheless, my other OC works off of the exact same lore foundation, meaning that talking about her Too will get slightly dodgy and weavy. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna try though! (This gets long, I love talking about writing and characters. You all know that my longfic is insanely long already. You have been warned.)
Introducing; Freyja Winterbird!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Freyja is my NA Alt, and is just like Deia, not actually named her proper name in-game. Her "actual" name is Amanda Winterbird, but just like Deia, the Amanda is only there because Amanda is me, and that's not their canonical names regardless. (Not to mention, their names don't exist in game-) I instead like to think that Amanda is my OCs' first name, while their middle names are their actual given names, meaning that Freyja's "official" name would be Amanda Freyja Winterbird.
I generally worked very closely to canon when I created my horse game OCs. That is to say, as one might notice, Deia is inspired by the old intro text, and Freyja is somewhat inspired by a rework of Deia's circumstances. I also have their actual story arcs work very closely to canon, but naturally, I cannot go into details about that given that that's what a certain fanfic of mine is about. (Read A Quintessential Jorvegian Summer Vacation To Find Out More-) This is usually the exception though, given that all of my original stories originally come from me reworking a work I already enjoy, and dodging copyright laws by making it completely unrecognizeable. My SSO OCs are actually SSO OCs though, and not simply original characters of mine in an original universe, so they don't have as heavy reworks as my other OCs, naturally. That is to say, I change a lot, but not too much for once, while cherry picking what I want to keep and throwing the rest out head first.
Freyja's actual lore is that she is a mirror version of Deia. Think alternate universe, same person, different individual type of thing. Freyja and Deia are ultimately different people, they just exist in each others roles in different timelines, if you will. Which is to say they don't exist in the same universe, except when I want them to for funky and fun content shenanigans. But the general idea is that everything that Deia is, Freyja is too, and everything Deia experiences, kind of, Freyja experiences too, sort of, they simply do them in different ways, take different things from them, and are ultimately different people.
For example! The biggest difference is that while Deia is not from Jorvik, Freyja is born on Jorvik. She's from above the map, if you will, which is to say somewhere from northern Jorvik (details omitted for my own personal convenience), but ends up working at Moorland Stables for a summer, because the stable she usually works at lowkey kicks her out because the stable owner/Freyja's boss thinks it "would be good for her to get away for a bit". Freyja is similarly to Deia rather snarky and relatively pessimistic. Freyja, however, is a lot better at social interaction, and has actual manners. Freyja is also a lot more outgoing and generally friendly, and keeps most of her hostility to herself.
Why Freyja has these pessimisms at all I cannot really talk about, given that since Freyja and Deia share lore, Freyja's backstory works off of details that are also present in Deia's story. Their backstory's are incredibly different, but Freyja's is actually more intertwined with my personal lore, which means that it's actually a bigger spoiler than Deia's backstory, which is only a spoiler because I am setting it up as a future reveal. Let's just say that Freyja has taken the wrong lessons from past upsetting experiences, and is now an expert at bad faith interpreting everything and everyone. (And unlike Deia, Freyja is not semi-verbal.)
While Deia is around 18/19, I imagine Freyja to be slightly older, think 21/22, and while Deia is 157cm, Freyja is 176 instead. And of course, Deia has white hair, and Freyja has black. Which was intentional on my part, yes. I am The achromatic and I refuse to stop. Freyja works with horses full time, and Moorland's riding camp is simply the next stop on her list, while Deia simply takes the job offer at Moorland to [redacted], and will only work there until the school term starts. They also have different birthdays, which is the 3rd of December for Deia, and Freyja's is 27th of November, because those are the dates their respective accounts were created. With a solid year difference of [checks notes] 12 years!
The biggest similarity, of course, is that Deia and Freyja both ride the same horse. Both of them ride a mare named Moonlight, who is the same individual regardless. The main difference between Deia's Moonlight and Freyja's Moonlight is in dynamic with her respective rider, and her personality. While Deia and Moon get along really well and are two old bitches in crime, Freyja is initially dismissive of Moonlight, and it takes some time for the two of them to get along. Moonlight also has different circumstances in her whys, hows, and whens, of course, but that is spoilers so heavy going into Any detail will spoiler Most of the endgame of QuintSum as such. Why Freyja and Moon don't get along initially is, once again, because of Freyja's backstory which spoils details about Deia's Moonlight in QuintSum, so I cannot go into detail, but they have different dynamics with their respective Moonlights. (The biggest difference being Freyja knowing Jorvik's mythology, while Deia doesn't, hint hint.) Moonlight herself is a rather tall mare, standing at 163 at the withers, because I Love bigger horses, and I can do whatever I want. (I imagine her build to be leaning Irish Draught because whoboi do I Love Irish Draughts.) She has long, curly mane and tail, but otherwise looks pretty much exactly the way she does in-game. The tack she wears is also her "canonical" tack in QuintSum, because it is my favourite tack on the JWB.
(I will say, though, I vastly prefer Deia and Moonlight's dynamic, and I'm very glad it's Deia I'm writing the fic about. If we ignore that Deia is my baby who I've had for most of my life, and that Freyja has existed for a whopping three months. I simply believe Deia has the more interesting perspective story wise. Not to mention how Freyja has too much knowledge to reasonably pull QuintSum's set-up off, and the story itself would be Vastly less interesting had the Literal Protagonist known almost everything from the start-)
And before you ask, no, making Deia and Freyja's names rhyme was not intentional, I simply really enjoy the name Freyja (specifically with that spelling in particular), and Deia has had that name for years by now. I think it's pretty funny though!
Sorry for clogging your dash, thank you for reading me ramble about character writing, and come back once QuintSum is finished (or read it if you don't have the patience of a saint) for Deia's character bio, because the lord knows I'm going to Never shut up about Deia once I can fully talk about her on main.

Revisiting the Manda section from chapter 27 after reading that ask has BROKEN me. Are we allowed to keep asking you lore questions or would you rather us not send asks like this or the Patrick sexuality asks that would reveal info that is going to come up in the story? I just have so many questions about this girl’s history. Has she ever interacted with any of the other characters in the bowers gang before? Or does she have any connections to any other characters in the story besides Henry (and Liz and Peter)? I’m officially fascinated by her
Honestly, you can ask me anything.
I’m usually pretty good at catching myself and editing myself when I start revealing too much (yes, the delete button and I have become very well acquainted 😂), and if anything starts creeping too far into spoiler territory, I’ll say so and respectfully decline to answer.
And regarding Manda, she’s part of Martin’s extended network of friends. I wouldn’t say they’re particularly close, but they often frequent the same parties and have a lot of mutual friends. She’s technically part of the popular crowd, but she exists within a subset separate from Liz Mueller’s more preppy clique. These groups sometimes overlap, but they usually keep to themselves. Obviously, Liz doesn’t care for her very much.
I doubt Manda has had any previous interactions with the Bowers gang, except maybe some casual flirting with Patrick (Patrick should be a senior and he hangs out with Martin more than anyone else, so it’s likely their paths have crossed in the past). Those boys only recently started getting invited to Martin’s parties, like within the last year or two. Prior to that, they were just too young. 7th- and 8th-graders are usually ignored by upperclassmen. Most don’t even think of them as actual high school students.
