I finally got myself to finish the mastermind nagito- it wasn’t even that hard I just have so many other projects I’m messing around with so it took forever
Anyways, I’d probs change his design altogether from this but I was trying to keep it true to the junko/monokuma aesthetic

Mastermind Au with Komanami as the Masterminds with Hajime as the traitor?
Oh dear. Now that’s a fun concept!
Personally I feel like this would be the revelation of Chapter Five but with staging Nagito’s death and Chiaki would be in on it. Chiaki would be the manipulative force, trying to get her friends to doubt one another but never suspect her.
Then Nagito and she would have Chapter Six to reveal Nagito is still alive and I feel like their motive would be destroying Despair through the program. A sort of new backstory for the NWP. Originally it was made to rehabilitate people who had fallen in Despair, but when Nagito, a Despair himself, invaded it, he wanted to see the extent of the NWP’s abilities and so he gained influence over it as well as Chiaki’s programming. And by gaining influence over Chiaki’s programming, I mean he convinced her at her original stage of being to question whether or not it is better for the Remnants of Despair to perish in a program happily with friends rather than face a cruel world on the outside.
That’s what I’m getting with a KomaNami Mastermind vibe. Pretty insidious! Hajime’s true loves can’t just do this to him!
The only thing I have trouble working with this is how Hajime can be a “traitor”. Perhaps something to do with Izuru? We’ll think on it.

Im thinking about Izuru and Hajime in my Harbinger au again and how the tragedy can only truly end when Hajime is given his acknowledgement and reparations for the great wrong done to him, how the two of them haunt the narrative as a reminder of the sins done to them, and how only when they gain peace will their vengeance upon the world be stopped, only when they are appeased and the wrong made right can healing begin. Only when their ghosts are put to rest, can they reclaim their humanity, and become more then the metaphor for pain and loss they were turned into.
