The music video for "Daydream Generation" was released on October 21, 1994. It is also the 5th ending song of Yu Yu Hakusho. Matsuko Mawatari was really young!

Pony Canyon published it on Youtube today, maybe because the live action is out. I remember having watched it somewhere, probably on TV. Was this video on YouTube before?

last week, i was doing so great w starting work at 7 am because my body just wakes me up early now and i’ve somewhat accepted it. but tonight, i can’t sleep after a rather long nap in the afternoon i’m phonetically learning enough japanese pronunciation to sing matsuko mawatari’s sayonara byebye. i wasn’t certain how challenging this would be but it’s quite fun! i haven’t written about this here but, lately, i do like to sing. i haven’t sang this often since before i was 10, i think. i especially like singing pop songs where i get to be cheeky and have fun. lorde’s mood ring and carly rae jepsen’s let’s be friends are ones that i practice a lot. tbh, i like the acting aspect just as much as the singing, even if acting in front of others feels terribly embarrassing... but, alone, it is a lot of fun <3 i like the idea of entertaining others and can send audios of my singing one-on-one but... god, i just hate doing things in front of people. but it feels too stifling, this social anxiety and stage fright, like buttoning something up too high. i don’t care for this fear and i try to challenge it but it’s such a slow process. i’m just trying to persevere  it is similar to the way that i dress. i like that neutrals make me feel more invisible to men (and docs, heavy jackets, sunglasses, etc) and thus safer in my cocoon of sleekness but... what if i wore pastels and heels? and clothes that were formfitting? that thought was horrifying for a second but, lately, i am easing into it and looking at the wardrobes of celebrities like jennie and sydney sweeney i bought a dark pink lip tint and have been using fluffy pinks and browns in my makeup. i am looking at a baby blue jw pei bag (the one with ruffles) for my birthday. my bags include a black corduroy tote with a broken strap, a somewhat stained ny times tote, and some mini purses in muted/dark colors that look like they’re from the 90s (one is my mom’s and is from the 90s - a small, rectangular, olive green purse with a lot of pockets that i like to take to concerts) in a way, these things don’t matter so much but they do bring me some small flutter of happiness. i will admire these items visually but then return to the world of my thoughts, which feels more appealing, as i can create a purse out of clouds in my head

having a good snack with a warm cup of coffee (or cold cup of tea, if it's spring/summer) just when the sun is rising, after I failed putting myself to sleep. I like how pretty, serene and silent the light lifts throughout the sky in the first hours of the morning - it's arguably my favorite time of the day. I mean... it's so pretty I just can't, ughhh. I don't particularly like being an insomniac, but that is one of the perks.

When I get a song that vibes a lot with me during a few days, I like listening to it in repeat mode (currently, it's Sayonara Bye Bye by Matsuko Mawatari). It's like being cuddled and soothed, but in my brain. It gives me the brain soothing. Can't describe it, just vibin'.

I like collecting notebooks. Hard cover, colorful, bullet point, big, small, I just love having many, many notebooks - I'm the notebook hoarder. I actually have a crate full of them, all written halfway. I've only managed to finish one notebook (used as journal) my entire life.

Daydreaming. As I grew up and began being medicated for my ADHD, my daydreams became more and more distant for me, and for the past 5 years or so, it was pretty rare to daydream at all. I'm very happy to have come back to daydreaming with fictional story plots, drawings, and random ideas in general that aren't so utilitarian (like things I need/want to do around the house and such).

Hyped chatter about something with someone that is as hyped as I am about that. When I'm healthy (ergo not in a depressive little hole), I tend to function very energetically (at least mentally), and some of that energy comes out in the form of chatter or art making (drawing, writing, singing etc.). I know I tend to get kinda tiring or annoying to people most of the time, so it's awesome when I find someone to be hyped by my side.

So these are 5 things my cringy self loves. 🦉

30 years of Yu Yu Hakusho also means the 30th anniversary of Megumi Ogata as a voice actress. She debuted in October 1992, in the role of Kurama. To celebrate this moment, she is releasing a mini album with some covers, from the ending theme of her latest work "Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie", to the opening song of her debut work "Yu Yu Hakusho". Ogata-san conveys her love for her works and characters, and gratitude to her fans ♡

The cover of "Hohoemi no Bakudan" (Smile Bomb) debuted on the NHK-FM "Radioman Jack" radio station last Saturday, January 7, 2023. This is not the same cover from the album "Yu Yu Hakusho Super Covers". This new one features members of the famous band Angela, KATSU was in charge of the arrangements and Atsuko sings in the chorus.

I tried to record the song from the radio, the quality is not high, but you can get an idea of how it sounds.

If there is one event i'm definitely gonna watch, its the karaoke. Originally Rikka and Astel is part of this however both talents are in recovery. So they chose other talents to replace them. Rikka chose Temma and Astel chose Uyu.

Its amazingly nice how they set up the ones who doesn't have 3D yet, the same way Neo Porte's Minase was presented in Gamma's birthday stream, moving cardboard!! lol

Its pretty cute how Izuru initiated going up in front of Hakka and Octavio, kneeling in front of them and cheering for them as they sing. Of course the rest of the Stars quickly follow, kneeling in front of their kouhai to cheer for them. Seriously, Izuru's excited tippy taps is so cute!

A personal funny thing that happened when Octavio sang Hohoemi no Bakudan (Yu Yu Hakusho), I commented 'the song of my people'. My fellow "South Elysium" countrymen is well acquinted with this anime song, you can't call yourself an anime fan here if you don't know this song. Later on the chat I saw "THE SONG OF OUR PEOPLE". I just laughed, my phone is not new and opening the keyboard while in full screen mode is quite annoying. I really want them, all 23 of them, to be one one stream!

I was expecting them to be all loud but I guess Roberu have to be senpai to his 2 kouhai. Roberu was quiet and wore a worried expression while in between bouncing Gamma and Jurard.

I'll be honest, I wasn't paying all my attention to this stream. But everytime Jurard freaks out, my attention goes back to the stream. It's pretty funny cause they commented on Jurard's reactions/tension. Initially they think he was nervous but they concluded that he was just very happy.

A lot of Roberu and Gamma's fans were interviewed and luckily for Jurard, there was a cosplayer who dressed up. I was wishing they interviewed more cosplayers like last year but I guess because their on site reporter, Toshinari Fukamachi, is a famous voice actor his safety is taken into consideration.

Its also pretty nice to see their mama's (illustrator's) drawings around the expo.

Also its pretty cool that Roberu is translating what Jurard was saying. I was worried that Jurard was mixed in when he is not fluent in Japanese. I bet they have a translator behind the scene and I was wondering it wasn't Izuru, Temma or Axel. I forgot that Roberu had that one episode of WachaStars with Izuru where they translated English to Japanese.

Not gonna lie though, because the walk through is curated they managed highlight the Holostars Expo quite well.
