HI HELLO THE FRATERNITY BOY THAT BUFFY'S MOST DRAWN TO BEING "THE ONE TO WATCH OUT FOR." the one who differentiates himself from the shitty Other Boys, the one who takes time to make her feel special and goes out of his way to try and meet her on her level, THAT is the one that's the most dangerous and sadistic. absolutely obsessed

Yknow I think one of the saddest parts about Malorn being a professor is that his social circle in particular must have taken a hit. Idk if he had any homies before his promotion but with that Teacher and Student relationship having to be almost strictly professional, I can't imagine it would be smiled upon to have Malorn acting buddy buddy with some of his peers anymore. And like that's really sad that one of the many aspects of his childhood is essentially taken from him because he's in this awkward spot of mentally, physically, and emotionally at par with his students but has to be different than that in order to be their teacher
Like imagine how lonely that is bro. He can't be a kid with his students anymore but he's not an adult that can necessarily relate to other adults either so he's just in this separate space all by himself because there are no others like him (except The Wizard who has at least some similarities)
Thinking about how Malorn's former friends just slowly drifting away from him not because they hate him, but because they have to regard him as a teacher FIRST above all else is super sad and once again I'm crying for Malorn in the evening

Story
Ray's friends are finally back home from college. But in the seaside town where they grew up, everything has changed. Madison is always distracted by work and her controlling parents. She's dating Oliver. Oliver doesn't know what he wants to do with his life anymore, but he knows he can't stay in Point Blink. Lonan has made a new home for himself in the city with his boyfriend, so nobody is quite sure what he plans to do next.
June in Point Blink isn't turning out as perfect as Ray planned.
Judith just moved to Point Blink.
A somewhat disastrous pair, Ray and Judith fall victim to an act of arson on a mysterious landmark in the woods. Whilst the girls uncover the identity of the arsonist on a dusty old camera, they develop a strong bond with one another and a connection to their mental health neither of them had before. However, as Ray gets closer to saving herself, she digs up damaging truths about her closest friends that threaten to tear the five of them - and Point Blink - apart.
Characters
Ray – 20, a somewhat optimistic college student who misses her friends but will do anything to keep them together. spends most of her time in alone her bedroom or in the woods with a camera.
Judith – 19, the energetic new girl in town with an enigmatic background and a savior complex. used to live with her brother but decidedly does not anymore.
Lonan – 20, Ray’s best friend who loves his friends dearly but struggles to put himself and his art first. struggling to live with past decisions while navigating a new relationship.
Madison – 20, hates the idea of college and is very set in her ways, which can be detrimental to her friendships. works at a local coffeehouse.
Oliver – 19, the last person to join the friend group; the first person to leave. known for his boastful grades and sour humor.

one of my (i thought) good friends, who’s been posting a lot of support for israel in her insta stories, seems to have removed me as a friend once i started posting support for palestinians
this is incredibly frustrating that she wouldn’t even attempt to reach out and have a conversation before pulling the plug. she’s also been aggressively pro “self-defense” for israel, which is even crazier to me.
it’s frustrating because i thought we had a good connection before, and i thought she was pretty smart and wise, but for her to not only be unwilling to recognize a different perspective, but also to openly support the continuation of the ethnic cleansing of palestinians, is disappointing and tragic. i’m not sure if i should attempt to be the grown up in the situation and reach out and try to talk through it, or if i should just let it be.

“if I had a crush on a high school senior in my second year of uni that would be so weird.”
Yet Eddie is a high school senior and if Steve went to college he would be in his second year.
Not trying to make that ship look problematic bc I’m not saying that as someone who considers that ship problematic, I’m just here pointing out the hypocrisy, I couldn’t help myself this one was way too easy.

So this thought has been in my head for quite some time but... I can't help but think about an angst filled, heartwarming tale between Morganthe and Malorn if Morganthe was still a teenager and a student struggling in Ravenwood

31 'mature student' feel like im going through the worst artistic burn out of my life after deciding to do arts at uni because it was the one thing i was any good at and im so creatively drained having to work to someone elses standards ive just, lost interest in drawing, im fustrated i used to love drawing. I tried to google a solution and it said once a passion is dead and has been for over a year its never going to come back, it'll just feel like a chore forever, do you have any advice for what to do? I can't just stop trying to do art right now and i cant just do another sort of art as my course is game design, but im failing my course and im so depressed and anxious and scared ill never draw again.
Hey there,
It can be really hard when what you once loved to do, you no longer enjoy as much.
You mentioned that you are really drained when it comes to art and having to work to someone else’s standards. So, I guess I’m thinking, is there a way that you can go back to your roots, back to when you enjoyed it and try and find your spark in creating art again. Maybe if you think back to when you first began to love it and do some pieces for yourself (to your standard and not someone else’s) then you may be able to restart and find your love in it again.
I know this won’t be easy and especially with your current course, so can you possibly speak to a guidance counsellor about your studies and possibly taking some time off or asking for an extension on your course? If you were able to do this then you can take some time off from your course and just focus on yourself, yourself and your own art. And then when you feel ready to, then going back to your course and seeing how you go.
Another option may be to just leave your course now but you sound to me like someone who would want to try every other avenue first before quitting your course!
In the end though, it is completely up to you what you decide to do, no one can make the decision for you. But maybe just try to re-engage with your love of art and see where this takes you?
I really hope that this has helped a bit and please do let us know if we can help to support you in any other way!
I’m thinking of you and hope that you are going well!
Take care,
Lauren
