Played Metal Slug Anthology this time !  I’ve had it for a while, but never really played it much until now
Tumblr media
-- It was pretty cool, for what it was.  They were a little samey after a while, but it was something to keep busy for a while
-- Reminded me somewhat of Contra
-- The characters can become fat, though only temporary...not unlike Fat Princess.  Or Um Jammer Lammy
-- Maybe I should try Metal Gear or Guilty Gear or Guilty Slug someday.  Though, if Metal Gear is like a whole game of that brief stealth part in Ocarina of Time, I might not really care for that

Rotten Love (anthologies of the poorly medicated) (2023)
I crave the passion of violence and how it affects our brains. I crave a disturbing connection to ones body, something sinister and filled with a vial rage. thats what I perceive love to be.
This idea of love and beauty bores me. I feel a sense of anger when I see the mundane. I know my soul is destroyed and I know how to cause pain.
That is my love.
Anguish and the soft touch of danger.
I want taste your flesh between my teeth and push you until I can taste the metal. I want to drink you until you need me to stop. Until you can’t think about anything else. I need you to let me indulge.
The psychosexual desire of cutting open your body and licking your lungs. Devouring every last essence of your bloodied corpse until we are both no more.
Until you hold me.
That is all a girl wants.
The decay is what I crave and I have to cause it. Cover my body in your blood and play in the bath of sin.
Beg us to stop and keep going until we can’t.
The disturbing outcome of a toxic love affair.
Emotionally unrequited due to the primal urge of violence towards each other.
I cant imagine being committed, but I fantasise about being upsetting.
I became a woman when I discovered the power my husk holds. I am a powerless slug subdued to the imbalance of the sheer ornate impossibility of this skin.
She can do it all, I can do nothing.
Love is meaningless when we all crave something morbid. When pain is easier to welcome than a fictitious future of average living, why must I crave something so simple?
I want something awful.
Girlhood tainted me with reality.
Nothing pure comes from being a woman when you learn of your only currency.
So I crave the gore-porn of the rotting flesh of a man beneath my soul, to feel connected to Aphrodites beauty.

METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART HOW TO
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART MANUAL
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART VERIFICATION
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART SOFTWARE
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART TV
I've never had a problem with having to use a second Wiimote. That does sound a little bad, PS2 version it is! Virtual Reality Deals Best Sellers New Andy Bogard or Marco (from metal slug) for SNK. There is probably a way around those issues, but I haven't played with it enough to correct it. Download: Capcom Vs SnK 3 Battle Of The Millennium (PC Game). Also annoying is that it wants 2 controllers set up even when you are playing solo and if you set player 2 to a Wiimote, the game will complain when the Wiimote times out from not being used. For some reason even if I use the Gamecube controller, I sometimes have to go through the options with the Wii mote. The most annoying thing is that the menu wants you to use the Wii mote.
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART HOW TO
It took me awhile to figure out how to switch from the first game to the sequals. And Metal Slug 6 is a bit blurrier than the others, due to the art style used for the backgrounds and upscaling of the sprites to a higher resolution (though, technically, all of the other games are upscaled too.) I dunno if anyone mentioned it, but unlimited continues are on by default for all games, but you can turn them off if that bothers you. There is no Xbox version of the Anthology. The loading times are roughly the same as the Wii version (though they don't have the little animation of the Slug going by) and the method of unlocking the galleries makes a bit more sense.
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART MANUAL
(B) A manual to use a menu, which by nature are supposed to be user friendly? Are you serious?īack on topic - I'd agree with Slash and say the PS2 version is preferable due to the control schemes/flashing, but if you don't have a PS2, the Wii version is suitable unless you're REALLY fussy about controllers. Why would you even bother? It's an arcade game that, by nature, is meant to be played without a manual. I've had people quit 2-player games on me because they hit pause by mistake and couldn't figure out that they had to rotate the d-pad for it to make sense.Īm I seriously the only one here who reads the manual before playing a new game? This is how the pause menus work (even though they're normal menus, you have to use the remote in the vertical position regardless of the control scheme you've selected). There are no indicators anywhere to tell you that that's how the menu works and you just kind of have to feel it out to get used to it.
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART TV
Instead, you use the d-pad in the vertical position to change channels on the TV to select the game you want. Turns out that you hold the remote facing forward like a pointer, but it doesn't use the pointer at all. it's a menu you scroll through it to find the option you want and then you select it right?.īasically, there's a TV screen on a battlefield and a giant metal slug logo which makes you think "this is the title screen, I should hit A" so you hit A and Metal Slug 1 starts and you're all like WTF? I have to ask this I've seen the complaint about the menu system for the Metal Slug Anthology before and have absolutely no understanding of it. no boss flashing (something that makes me generally go "meh"). Gamecube controller support.Ĭon: weird menus take some getting used to. Awesome art galleries and music galleries. High resolution reverse printed image which is then laminated and applied to 3/16' clear acrylic. Standard - High-resolution print on 9mil translite film which can then be sandwiched between your two sheets of plexi or glass. Damned near perfect emulation, even for MS6 which is on AtomisWave. Choose between our Standard (Translite) or Complete (Plexi) Marquee. Pro: 7 of the best games ever made for $40. (Firefox is currently the fastest environment, although other browsers should work as well.I have the Wii version. If you are encountering issues with control, sound, or other technical problems, read this entry of some common solutions.Īlso, Armchair Arcade (a video game review site) has written an excellent guide to playing on the Internet Arcade as well.īelow are a suggested collection of games that run at proper speed in a powerful browser. Please report any issues to the Internet Arcade Operator, Jason Scott. In some cases, odd controllers make proper playing of the systems on a keyboard or joypad a pale imitation of the original experience. Many games have a "boot-up" sequence when first turned on, where the systems run through a check and analysis, making sure all systems are go.
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART VERIFICATION
Most games are playable in some form, although some are useful more for verification of behavior or programming due to the intensity and requirements of their systems. The game collection ranges from early "bronze-age" videogames, with black and white screens and simple sounds, through to large-scale games containing digitized voices, images and music.
METAL SLUG 6 ARCADE ART SOFTWARE
The Internet Arcade is a web-based library of arcade (coin-operated) video games from the 1970s through to the 1990s, emulated in JSMAME, part of the JSMESS software package.Ĭontaining hundreds of games ranging through many different genres and styles, the Arcade provides research, comparison, and entertainment in the realm of the Video Game Arcade.

Metal slug ps2 rom

#Metal slug ps2 rom ps2
The integrated save system will not save your progress. Instead, you’ll need to click File > Save State and then choose an empty slot. You can save your progress in whatever point you like within the game, not only on the official checkpoints offered by the game. When playing in the future and you want to continue from your saved state, you can use File > Load State to load up the game from exactly where you last saved it.Show off your shooting skills with the Metal Slug Anthology. This original collection of games includes seven Metal Slug releases, including Metal Slug, Metal Slug X, and Metal Slug 6. The games emulate the arcade systems, but the major benefit is that you can enjoy these video games without needing to put quarters in the slot to play.
#Metal slug ps2 rom ps2
This PS2 release came out on March 27th, 2007. The action game has a rating of "Teen" by the ESRB for animated blood and violence. Up to two players can simultaneously play this video game, so grab one of your friends and battle it out.Metal Slug is a bona fide classic and looks great on the PlayStation 2. Choose from two different characters at the start of the game. Over the course of six levels, you'll shoot and bomb the enemy forces. At the end of each level is a giant screen-filling boss. This tank will destroy anything in its path with ease. The second game in the anthology adds a number of enhancements.Īt various points in the game, you can get behind the wheel of a massive tank. You can now transform into different forms during play, such as a mummy. There are new weapons and vehicles, like a gun-toting camel, and the number of characters has been increased from two to four. Metal Slug X is a remix of the second title, which is why SNK designates it with a letter instead of a number. It features more enemies per level, music, and a slightly altered level design. The third title in this PlayStation anthology introduces branching paths. At specific points in the title, you can choose from one of two routes. This choice gives the title an additional level of playability. The fourth title in the franchise also features new weapons and vehicles.

Video
youtube
Many of our readers, whom come from NTSC (60Hz) TV regions like North America and Japan. Will likely never have experienced the horror of a poorly ported game to PAL (50Hz). However this video is the perfect showcase of what happens when developers don’t convert games correctly. Despite being released in 2007, the PAL PlayStation 2 release of Metal Slug Anthology is truly awful, not supporting 480i or 480p in PAL.
The screen is misaligned at the top with giant borders and the game is running ten frames slower a second. The end result is that all the games in the Metal Slug series end up feeling like they are running underwater. This version also has huge input lag to make matters worse. The end result is a poor NTSC version, is made even worse in PAL.

SNK Arcade Classics Vol.1 (PlayStation Portable, 2009) ORIGINAL PUBLISHER(S): SNK Playmore / JAPANESE PUBLISHER(S): SNK Playmore / DEVELOPER(S): Terminal Reality (cover taken from the SNK Best Collection reprint as it was the only good quality scan I could find)
Retro Atari Classics [Atarimix Happy 10 Games] (Nintendo DS, 2005) ORIGINAL PUBLISHER(S): Atari / JAPANESE PUBLISHER(S): Atari Japan / DEVELOPER(S): Taniko
Mega Man Legacy Collection [Rockman Classics Collection] (Nintendo 3DS, 2016) ORIGINAL PUBLISHER(S): Capcom / JAPANESE PUBLISHER(S): Capcom / DEVELOPER(S): Digital Eclipse
Japan's obviously gotten loads of retro compilations over the years, some exclusive to the region, but they've also gotten a few Western-developed ones as well... mostly ones by Digital Eclipse 'cause they were super prominent back then in that area.
Some facts about these... Namco Museum Arcade Hits! differs from the original 50th Anniversary in a few ways, mainly by having the unlockable Pac-Mania and Galaga '88 available right from the start, and replacing the licensed soundtrack featured in the original release's main menu with an originally composed track. Other than that (and the fact that it's all in Japanese, obviously), it's the same as the original English release.
Game Center USA is in fact a compilation of compilations; it features various games from both Midway Arcade Treasures 1 and 2, but rather than unifying it all in one menu, the game has you select either Arcade Treasures 1 or 2 from a menu, which leads to the menus from the respective original compilations. Notably a fair few of the more violent games from the original Arcade Treasures 1 and 2 are absent (namely NARC, Smash TV and the Mortal Kombats), with the exception of Total Carnage. If it was edited in any way I have no idea; I haven't been able to find an ISO of it, and videos of this particular release are basically non-existent online.
Namco Museum GBA and Pac-Man Collection are somewhat amusing in that the Namco Museum title they both use as a base (the 2001/2002 PS2/GameCube/Xbox game, just titled Namco Museum) never reached Japan (or Europe, for that matter), so, in the case of Pac-Man Collection, it's the only home port of Pac-Man Arrangement (the 1996 original) they ever got. Both collections eventually got re-released on the Wii U Virtual Console in 2014, with Pac-Man Collection being Namco Bandai's first GBA release on the service in Japan. However, in April of this year, this was delisted from the Japanese eShop, and only on the Japanese eShop, strangely; other regions still have it available. Why was it delisted specifically in Japan, we don't know.
Regarding Capcom Classics, of the three that Digital Eclipse developed, this is the only one the country got; neither Remixed for the PSP nor Volume 2 made it over there. The only other one they got was Reloaded, the second PSP one, which was made and released in Japan first by Capcom themselves... and was mostly the same as this original PS2 one in terms of games, anyway, considering both took the old Capcom Generations PS1 releases as their base. This amusingly mirrors a bit what would happen with the two Mega Man Legacy Collection games, where Digital Eclipse made the first and Capcom themselves handled the second. Speaking of which...
Mega Man Legacy Collection also saw its PS4 and Xbox One versions being released in the region, but unlike North America, these two didn't get physical releases, only the 3DS version... and even then in this version's case they didn't get that Collector's Edition with the gold Mega Man amiibo. Oh well. Also interesting is that, in Japan, the 3DS version came first, unlike everywhere else where the PS4/One/PC versions were the first.
...also, yeah, Japan got that terrible Atari compilation too. I wonder how they recieved it.

Youtube Channel UPDATE #1 Photos Above: The Mclaren P1 in all it's glory in Forza Motorsport 5, Giant Insects attack a Ranger in Earth Defense Force 4.1 and The Ferry in New Tristram early on in Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls. For those who do not know, I have my own Youtube Channel called TheAutisticGamer (For obvious reasons) and do Lets Plays and Streams on it frequently. I am getting back into the shape of things and am recording a bunch of stuff in the works. Some have been uploaded and others haven't. Heres my channel plan: Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOw54fnFgqO8fe2ctomAB_w?view_as=subscriber HALF-LIFE 2 (COMPLETED/UPLOADING) I have just finished Half-Life 2 a few weeks ago and am uploading it now. I have four videos up for it and it will be a 12 part series. HALF-LIFE 2: EPISODE ONE (COMPLETED/UPCOMING) After I'm finished uploading all of Half-Life 2, I will be uploading Episode One. I'll try and do Episode Two once I'm closer to uploading Episode One but for now it's going to get uploaded once HL2 is done uploading. This will be a Four Part Series. METAL SLUG ANTHOLOGY (RECORDING/UPLOADING) I'm in the midst of uploading this series and there is only Metal Slug 6 left to do in the Anthology. I'll complete it as soon as I can with my sister. YOSHI's CRAFTED WORLD (HIATUS) Yoshi's Crafted World was a coop project me and my sister were doing. However, with us focusing most of our time on Metal Slug Anthology, it's become stagnant. We'll get back to it once Metal Slug is done. LEGO STAR WARS: THE COMPLETE SAGA (RECORDING) We have finished Episodes 1 and 2 and we'll be doing Revenge of the Sith as soon as possible. This lets play has a lot of screeching and screaming and it's extremely silly once you watch it. DIABLO 3: REAPER OF SOULS (RECORDING) I have completed 5 videos for this series and am hoping to complete it before the end of the year arrives. This will be a wizard playthrough. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 2017 (COMPLETED/UPLOADING) This early chaotic third person shooter for the Xbox 360 is done and completed and is (I Think) a 12 Part Series. I'm very happy with how it turned out and am uploading as we speak. EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 4.1: THE SHADOW OF NEW DESPAIR (RECORDING) I am having so much fun with this one. I recorded two videos today and it will be uploaded as soon as EDF 2017 is finished. I don't know how long this will be as I heard this is a 20 hour game and I usually record for about 30 minutes per video. Who knows how long it will take? FORZA MOTORSPORT 5 (RECORDING/UPLOADING) My plans to do the Xbox One versions of Forza Motorsport start here. I'm currently 11 videos done and 2 uploaded at the moment. This series will be uploaded very frequently and is the main focus besides Diablo 3 ROS and EDF 4.1. Those are my channel plans for right now. I hope I have informed you well on this. Thanks for reading!
