I keep reading posts about the biblical plaques and my brain keeps trying to force it into biblical plagues. So either the writers have dyslexia or they’re referencing the Saint Jaime Luna bible.

#🤷‍♀️ at some point I will catch up #until then #riverdale #also the plagues of Riverdale go #snakes falling from the sky but they’re based on FPS incorrect knowledge of snakes #all the milkshakes turn into maple shakes; Cheryl is beside herself with glee #bags of chips from the lastest product placement and there’s like #fifty up close shots of each flavor #that have nothing to do with the plot #but is just a cash grab #bonus points if one of the parents is chewing the scenery #the last born is given a ticket to ride the f*k out of town and never come back #sweet water runs red; at first they think it’s blood but then it turns out it’s just mine run off #the real curse is everyone turning into a redhead because of it and the joke is that they’re all now related to Archie #Veronica is immune tho because she washes her hair with alpine waters #there’s a sudden coffee shortage; normally this isn’t a problem but it makes Jughead infinite time more insufferable and cranky #Tabitha unleashes him on everyone who’s left a bad Yelp review #and on the truckers who tip terribly #there’s a plague of fog in the town and only pops diner sign cuts through it #that’s solved in half a day when they realize Reggie’s just being inconsiderate with the fog machine he brought out to make the dealership #scarier for their ‘scary low prices’ sale #(Betty plots to make the dealership the next location for SKC because why not? it’s free real estate)#there’s a minor infestation of maple syrup covered aliens on the lonely highway #this is mentioned once in passing; a pair of drably suited FBI agents take up space in the diner #the red head is always rolling her eyes at her partner who seems to deliberately try to goad her #he and Jughead become quick friends and neither is seen for a week; when they come back it’s never mentioned again #there a plague of fries that fly through the town #it takes three episodes for someone to realize the typo but by then there’s a new plague of nerds playing G&G on every available surface #I’m just saying lean into RAS #damnit tumblr and your 30 tag limit

Sort of? I've certainly made up a few characters to use in my AUs, but I'm not sure I could call them Psychonauts OCs specifically, since chances are I'll use them again in other continuities as it suits me.

But of that number, we've got Archelaos from Buried Beneath, ancient bodystealer looking to have a good time, Denver, his on-and-off lover who he taught the bodyhopping trick to. And some other psychics who have figured out the bodyhopping trick throughout history but they don't have names yet.

There's the Entity in Symbiosis; Aranka Naumann and the clones in Pooter Pile; there's Creed and Tammy and the Owl from The Lion, along with all the other denizens of Ouroboros; and Carrie in Sit Still, Look Pretty. And that's about it for AU OCs actually.

That evening I'm at Betty's house with the girls plus Kevin. We’re currently trying to catch gummy bears in our mouths

"Okay, I'm gonna try it" Betty says opening her mouth. Cheryl takes some gummy bears and trying to throw them into Betty's mouth

"Whoo" we all yell when she does it

"Okay, can we please order pizza from Little Cicero's?" Betty begs. Toni scoffs a little "guys it's not a sleep over without a greasy pizza. Right Kev?" We all look over at Kevin who's sat on Betty's window seat looking out

"Kev?" I sit up from my position on Betty's bed

"Sorry it's just... working on the variety show made me feel like I was reconnecting with pre farm Kevin” I frown feeling confused

“Long story” Toni says, still making me feel confused

“Mr Honey didn't just take that from me. He made me feel like I was nothing. Like I didn't matter" Kevin sighs looking back out of the window

"You know something that makes me feel better?" Betty says “make over”

"I hear what your saying Betty but I'm not sure

even a makeover will help" Kevin speaks. Kevin's words mean nothing and the girls all take out makeup and wigs. We all give each other a make overs and dress up.

“Everyone try this” Veronica takes out a bottle from her bag “this is mine and Cheryl’s rum. Try it” she hands the bottle to Betty who takes a sip. The bottle is passed around until it gets to me

“Oh no I’m ok thank you though”

“Come on just a sip” Cheryl encourages

“Hey if she doesn’t want to don’t pressure her” Betty defends me

“It’s just we have school tomorrow and I don’t…”

“You don’t drink?” Cheryl asks. I shake my head no “ok fine but your missing out” she goes to take the bottle from my hands

“Ok wait. Just a little sip can’t hurt right?” I take the tiniest sip which causes me to cough

“Should have warned you it may burn a little” Cheryl shrugs

“Hey YN why don’t you try out for the cheer team. We’re all on it” Josie says

“Oh I don’t know I’m not that good”

“That’s ok, Cheryl can help can’t you?”

“I can?”

“Look I don’t want to be a bother so…”

“No it’s fine. You wanna hang with us, you gotta be like us”

“I’m going to wash off my makeup” I tell the girls and head into Betty’s bathroom. When I return though I hear Josie saying some horrible things

“Are you making fun of me Josie?”

“If the shoe fits” Josie says getting up

“She’s just jealous because a few summers ago her and Sweet Pea had a fling. She didn’t want to go public and so he moved on” Cheryl says

“Whatever”

The following day I enter the gym while no one else is in there to practice and stretch. I try to go down into the spilts, like Cheryl showed me, but I get a little stuck

“Hey YN” I gasp hearing Sweet Pea’s voice behind me

“Hi” I feel his arms around me lifting me up

“Since when we’re you a cheerleader?”

“Oh Veronica said I should” I walk away from him, not wanting to be close by him

“Hey your not upset about yesterday are you? Couldn’t you tell I was glad to see ya?”

“Well you could have been a little nicer to me in front of your friends”

“You don’t know them. Especially Reggie. If it were up to me I wouldn’t look at another girl”

“Well it is up to you”

“Cheryl’s having a party Friday night. Why don’t you come with me, so I can make it up to you”

“Fine but you’ve got some making up to do” I say crossing my arms. Sweet Pea walks over to me, he moves a stray hair from my face and tucks it behind my ear

“Hey guys” Josie says walking over. Sweet Pea and I move away from one another

“Sweet Pea my mom said you should come over for dinner again tomorrow night” Josie says emphasising the words ‘again’

“Pea?” I frown “why were you at hers? You just said…”

“I know what I just said. I was only there for homework”

“You know what I can’t wait wait to make a good impression on those cute letterman’s”

“Oh so that’s the real reason your wearing that”

“Don’t tell me your jealous Sweet Pea” I pout

“What? me jealous? I don’t get jealous”

“Fine so you won’t mind me cheering in front of the bulldogs”

“Na”

“Good”

“Fine”

“Hmm” I turn and leave the gym.

Friday Valentine

Umm... Kevin? What is this?" Y/N looks down at the song sheet full of music and lyrics. At the top were the printed words of the song: Friday Valentine. Kevin was making a musical for the school with Archie as the main character in this story. Pretty fitting since the nice guy in school would be the center of attention. Go figure.

Kevin looks at him. "It's my new version of Friday Valentine that I wrote. Originally, it was about four best frenemies fighting over one guy. So, I thought I'd add to it and have a male profess his love for Archie, and why he would choose him over the other girls. Isn't that a gas?"

"Umm... No?! You're making me sound so queer. Do you really expect two boys to get together?"

"You'll never know unless you sing. So, please from the top." Kevin sat at a piano and started to play the melody of the song as Y/N rolled his eyes and began to sing the words on the page.

Hey Veronica, Toni, Cheryl, and Betty too

Listen up, I've got something to tell to you

Y/N was surprised to see that the music room of Riverdale melted away as he was in Pop's diner when Toni, Cheryl, Betty, and Veronica swiveled around on their stools and looked at him.

Archie Andrews, he's a good guy, no doubt

But when it comes to love, I'm the one that stands out

They all roll their eyes in annoyance at his statement as they 'shu bop, shu bop.' Y/N thinks this is crazy at what's happening, but he starts to get into the music as he stands on top of the table as the girls sit on both sides of the booth. He points to all of them.

He'd choose me over you, that's a fact

I've got the charm to keep his heart intact

At the Friday Valentine's Day dance, you'll see

Archie's eyes will be locked on me

He takes a nearby milkshake from the table and puts it to his lips in sip as he looks at the window to see Archie arrive in his Jalopy. Archie looks at him and waves his hand. Y/N licks cream off his lips and gives him a wink before looking back at the girls.

Veronica, you're glamorous and full of grace

But my love for Archie, I'll boldly embrace

Toni, you're cool, but I'm the one he adores

Cheryl, your fire's strong, but my love soars

Pop's melts away into a stage at the gymnasium as Y/N is dressed in a red tuxedo surrounded by Archie, Veronica, Betty, Cheryl, and Toni as they all put on a musical concert for all the female students in school. This is getting weird. Y/N thought to himself.

The boy's mine, next Friday Valentine's dance

My chance of ending the chase

Can't hardly wait to be the one, hot fun

Next Friday, Valentine

Y/N stopped singing and the illusion or whatever in God's name that was, melted away back into the music room with Kevin and Clay looking at him with bright smiles. "Yowza, so fun right? What a bop."

"A bop on the head maybe. Kevin what was that?" Y/N asked.

"That was the magic of music, Y/N. And I'm definitely keeping that part in. You did so great."

"Gee thanks." Y/N rolled his eyes.
