Please read this short culture appreciation post
As a white girl who was raised by a Chinese couple, I decided to share my experience growing up. I love the Chinese culture (I’m biased) and my parents are simply wonderful, but they never neglected to teach me about my own roots. Since I was around 4, when I was adopted, I could easily learn mandarin, but also forget my beautiful native language. My parents, however, made sure that I speak Polish fluently, in case I ever wanted to reconnect with my country. So, even though growing up around East Asians as a blond hair, blue eyed kid was… an interesting experience and many times people immediately assumed I can’t speak mandarin (it’s the language I know the best, but I understand; looks can be deceiving). Still, I love the culture I was raised in as well as the one I was born into. Race never mattered. My parents are and always will be my real ones (even if we’re not really related). They showed me that tradition and family knows no bounds, skin colours or borders. I may have been born in Warsaw, but my heart belongs to Hong Kong where my home is.
Sorry for any grammar mistakes. English is obviously not my first language.

Late Night Rambles: With Elizabeth (me)
You know growing up in a mixed family is kind of eye opening and sad because you really start to notice the upsetting parts of family growing up.
For instance growing up my grandma on my dad side of the family rest her soul (she died before I turn 13) was an Indian Black woman or more like Trinidadian and she married a Purto Rican man and had three children my dad, his brother, and little sister or little sister then little brother. Don't at me about that please. Now what was upsetting to me about my grandma was that I feel like she never got to fully express herself culturally wise. Like when it came to dinner she would really MAKE dinner she would make Spanish rice, plantain, and medulos but that isn't the part that upsets me. I loved her food. What upsets me was the way she would try and erase herself like she did not want to acknowledge the fact that she was black or half black. She kind of just shunned that side of herself because of history toward black people and I wish she was more open about that and about herself.
It's upsetting because growing up she would always say "Marry up Marry White" and that in a way its like her trying to make her grandchildren erase her in some way. Like I understand if that was from a financial perspective sure I guess but when you're trying to erase yourself through skin tone or bloodline it's just not right. I don't subscribe to Marry Up Marry White (rhyme not intended) I would love to have a girl friend or a future partner be a POC to counteract her self-erasure quote above.
But I'm also aware that my heart and brain choose who they're attracted to you know, so I'm not entirely sure who that future partner will be exactly. That person will grow with me but I suppose time will tell.
I sometimes wish she had more time to tell her story or at least journal her history down but I also know that if she were still alive she would be toxic and homophobic so I'll just leave it as I hope her soul is partying up somewhere.

Checked out the Shadow company tag and have thought of Shadow 10 x Shadow 13.
Also, Shadow company would find ways to mess with Ghost ,Soap, and Gaz with their American terms and traditions. Sometimes they just make shit up to see if they believe it.
Soap: Heard you guys were getting married! Congrats!
Shadow 10: Thanks, man. We're excited but fuck we're already having issues
Soap: Shit- What issues are you having?
Shadow 13: I'm having a hard time with the whole choosing which religion to go with
Soap: ... EH?
Shadow 10: Ya know, when two people with different religious backgrounds get married, they have to pick one to go with. His Catholic ass is insisting we go Catholic but I'm Pagan, born and raised, so we're clashing
Soap: First off, didn't know you were pagan. Secondly, can't you two just do both? Why force yourself to choose one?
Shadow 10: We don't want to go to jail for religion hoarding, MacTavish
Soap: Religion WHAT!?

The King of Koiláda Chalkou
The king and his sister is available for download. A perfect fit for a Early Civilization save. More info and download under the cut.
They are siblings and quite close, because they understand each other. Nevertheless they are both looking for life partners, and they both have the looks, and even the charm, but these two also have "complicated personalities" and oozes trouble. We feel sorry for the poor guy or girl who might find themselves marrying one of them.

The range of Erik's potential diet is once again fascinating me, on the basis of the sheer number of things that can highly inconvenience/kill a human. Obviously there's the chemical/plant/animal poisons that first come to mind—y'know, arsenic, belladonna, the unpleasantness that happens if you try to eat a monarch butterfly, that sort of thing. And I do have fun wondering if Erik's the type of guy to just … snatch some poor, poisonously bright insect off the side of a trunk and pop it in his mouth, as is his due as a Dragon Slayer who are just kinda like that sometimes.
However. The thought of Erik carefully harvesting and making his own wild licorice and monkshood tisanes, making use of a well-loved copper teapot and his treasured, antique tea service painted with lead-based glaze … kicking back with a cordial of pure ethanol, and the cordial is of course made of lead crystal … Meredy wandering over to an unsupervised, brightly-colored cookpot because whatever's in there smells amazing, then suddenly Erik is tackling her away and shouting about the cyanide he just spiced his quail and grass pea soup with, did Oración Seis not tell her to not touch his cadmium-painted cookpots?! Just, Erik being fancy about his poison consumption, because humans sure have figured out a bunch of ways to really inconvenience themselves and he might as well take advantage of their mistakes.
Also, what counts as poisonous enough to use? Humans can intoxicate themselves on too much water. Can Erik use that? There are so many things that are nonlethally, and even unnoticeably, harmful to us, so how trace can a poison be before Erik can't convert it into magic? Carbon monoxide is a notoriously odorless, colorless gas that is very bad for us—can Erik convert a poison he can't perceive? Can he straight-up eat rotten food because it would otherwise be harmful for literally anything else to eat? Relatedly, does this mean he really likes fermented food, because that's essentially rotten food that humans like to eat? I have questions
