Its bizarre how our generation has 'evolved' - i remember as a child, we did'nt have the option to 'suggest' that we did NOT want to visit a family friend or relative for the weekend,. If the parents were going - its but obvious that we too are. While on a social visit - we'd sit quietly or at best watch the hosts' kids. Today, if we want to plan a social gathering, the kids 'suddenly develop their own prior engagements ! Do u have any idea how difficult it is to get a teenager to visit someonr with their parents ? If they agree to the visit, after the initial courtesies,, they gradually coil back into their gadget world of oblivion. WiFi password is that exclusive ticket that can be requested at any relatives house but asked awkwardly at any friends place for the kids to 'source some important information !! We are a weird generation !! Dominated by our parents while we were kids and when we turned into parents - we are dominated by our kids. Perhaps - dominated is not the correct word but surely the feeling we get. Have we really messed up bringing up this generation ? Ps. Spotted this sign at #Dollartree and had this epiphany.
