When rain drops started hitting his forehead, Charn turned his face upwards, blinking slowly at the dramatic sky above him.

  Of course it was raining right now. Of course it had to, because his life wasn’t already absurd enough, cliche enough. He would have chuckled if the cold hadn’t already taken over his body, numbing both his mind and his heart. The last scratch of humanity he’d possessed, unknowingly and unwillingly, had been frozen forever. And it was okay, it was fine, he thought, he didn’t need it anymore anyway.

 Or: Chan lost it when he realised there was no way to catch Thatthep legally. It didn't matter anyway, he'd lost his humanity long ago after all ...

Tagged ages ago by darling @fleet-off but I didn't have anything to share til today, this most tragically DFF-less of Saturdays.

At some point it occurred to Non  - maybe the fifth time he vainly tried to nudge White towards the horror section of the comic book store - that he was pretty genre-savvy when it came to this stuff. He knew what he was: Phi Tai Hong. The most feared of ghosts. What he didn’t know was what it was about cohabitating with White’s soul in White’s body that kept the ravenous bloodthirst at bay. He’d never watched or read or heard of anything like this. At first he speculated that his death wasn’t unexpected enough to count, but even if it made him a complete idiot, he really had believed he was going to make it out of that shitty casino and go on to prove everyone wrong. He still sometimes expected to wake up from all this as if it was just one long bad dream. It seemed impossible that he could finally be that ready to fight for his life and it could just be snatched from him.

Current activity: This post (duh!). Oh, okay, went to Sonoma for a day trip.

Currently thinking about: Finding out whether I can watch I Feel You Linger in the Air through a legit channel as I don't want to sign up for Youku - and am not even sure I can.

Current favorite song: Oh, gosh, there are so many. I don't actually listen to current music, so there's nothing I listen to regularly.

Currently reading: **Spoiler alert** In between books at the moment. Just finished Flamer by Mike Curato, a young adult graphic novel about a bullied teen who realizes during a week at scout camp that he's gay, set before the Boy Scouts opened themselves up to gay scouts and leaders. Highly recommended for the topic and execution. Interesting use of color: it's mostly in black and white with strategic occasional uses of red. (Actually, tagging @respectthepetty given your interest in color.)

Currently watching: Kiseki: Dear to Me, and loving it (and gritting my teeth wondering if Chen Yi and Ai Di are going to survive to the end of the series).

Current favorite character: This has to be between White (Not Me), Pran (Bad Buddy), and Thun (He's Coming to Me). But I'm going to go random and say Ai Di (Kiseki: Dear to Me) because he's currently taking up the most brain space. (Sort of. Boston from Only Friends is also taking up a lot of space, but I don't love him, just think the series gave him a raw deal.)

Current WIP: I don't write fanfic, if that's what you're asking. And I don't have any Tumblr drafts active. Not sure how to answer this one. I've been posting episode by episode notes on Kiseki: Dear to Me, so that's the closest I have right now.

I haven't been writing a LOT lately, (because of....reasons) but @zhaozi-main set me the task of writing my threatened Pruk/Manaow pwp (my first het ship!) so i started that the other day

Manaow has never felt sexier in her life than she does right at this moment. She hasn’t had a whole lot of experience with the feeling, period. Here, though, at a club with her friends and her boyfriend (boyfriend!) and her friend’s boyfriends (boyfriends!) it’s easy to relax. Be confident.

When I created this blog: 2012, the year I started university and I've been here for the last decade ( no escape at this point)

What I post: Mainly reblogs of the shows I'm currently watching or shows I'll forever be obsessed with, veeeeery occasionally I'll post my thoughts or writing

Other blogs: I really only had sideblogs to keep URLs that I've had previously in case I want to use them again, but I just run this blog into the ground by having every current obsession in the one place

Do I get asks: really only when I reblog ask games and my mutuals send me asks, but not out of the blue ones even though I love talking to people about shows I love ( ask box is always open and I swear I'm nice)

Average hours of sleep: around 7-8 hours, my body naturally wakes me up after that ( I haven't set an alarm in over 2 years now)

What I'm wearing: PJ's ( it's a work from home day so I'm being comfy 😂😂)

Dream job: I want to write, but I don't see it being a fulfilling career for me, as long as I can write in my spare time, I'm happy

Dream trip: Japan and Korea ( which is hopefully happening in a couple of years when I turn 30)

Twenty Questions for Fic Writers!

1. how many works do you have on AO3?

Currently 18, but so much that I still have to translate and upload. And sort it beforehand, it's all a bit chaotic and there are too many fandoms to have a good overview of everything.

2. what's your total AO3 word count?

66,312 (but in the last year alone I've increased my average word count to at least 2000, often between 3000 and 4000, previously always around 1000 and I'm proud of the improvement)

3. what fandoms do you write for?

Oh God, too many. Far, far too many. From anime to other tv shows, but where I usually come back to sooner or later are for example Stranger Things, Yu-Gi-Oh or Teen Wolf. But at the moment it's Kiseki and Alice in Borderland.

4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?

“Wait, you like me?”(Alice in Borderland) with 472 kudos “I don’t trust him” (Alice in Borderland) with 425 kudos “Don’t touch him” (Alice in Borderland)  with 366  kudos Feeling something new (Wednesday) with 364 kudos Thunder (Alice in Borderland ) with 351 kudos

5. do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

To most, if only with a heart or something, but to my shame I must confess, not always, but I'm working on getting better.

6. what is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I always write a happy ending. Always. If there isn't, something is very wrong with me and you should be seriously worried

7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Wait, you can categorize happy endings? So, there are some that are even happier than others? That's something new to me and I think mine are actually always equally happy?! xD

8. do you get hate on fics?

Well, if I had, I'd have successfully suppressed it, but I don't think so.

9. do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, I do, but I'm still struggling with it. So I don't really have an answer to the question of what kind.

10. do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

Nope, not at all. I don't read them either. Just not my kind of thing. ^^

11. have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don't think so, but I don't think mine are good enough for anyone to want to steal them either. xD

12. have you ever had a fic translated?

Oh god, there was something but it was so many years ago that I really can't remember what language it was.

13. have you ever co-written a fic before?

No, but I would actually like to try it out, even though I imagine it would be very messy. But also very funny and exciting somehow.

14. what's your all-time favorite ship?

Do I have to choose? I really can't. I can think of at least 5 spontaneously. xD

15. what's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I have an open story on ao3, if that counts? I'm still missing a chapter, but the pairing is off because another one has formed. That's why I just can't finish it, but since it's only one chapter, I feel the need to. With the unpublished ones, I firmly believe I'll finish everything eventually. Maybe not for a few years, but I firmly believe I will. xD

16. what are your writing strengths?

As soon as I think of something I'm good at, I'll add it. But I doubt I'll think of anything, I usually find what I write mediocre or worse. But I publish it anyway in the hope that someone will like it. If it's even just one, I'm happy about it. 💚

17. what are your writing weaknesses?

The inability to write or finish stories with several chapters. Generally a deep storyline I guess. But there are many things I can hardly do or am rather bad at.

18. thoughts on writing dialog in another language for a fic?

Sure, if it fits and makes sense, why not?

19. first fandom you wrote for?

Inu Yasha, I think. Or Yu-Gi-Oh, that came right after, if I remember. But I think Inu Yasha. Lost my heart to Sesshōmaru. xD

20. favorite fic you've written?

Holy shit, now I'm supposed to choose that too? xD Depending on the fandom, I'll find one, but not in general. You have no idea how many projects I still have unpublished. Let's say this much: a very, very large amount xD

So I needed a little warm-up and used my “What the plot”-cards for that and since it was so much fun and MORE than a “short” piece, I decided to post it here XD

prompts: "tell us about the time your guardian angel refused to protect you" and "execution, space-time-continuum, velociraptor" Warnings: implied violence&death by dinosaur, insane characters, supernatural characters

“No.”

“No what?”

I stared at my guardian angel as if they’d grown wings. Which should be something they had anyway, but not mine. No, mine had no wings but blue glowing horns and their arms crossed and a gaze so adamant, it felt final.

“No to this, to you, to this whole damn mission. Velociraptors? Seriously?”

Helplessly, I shrugged. As if the Velociraptors were the weird part of this story.

“But it’s your job.”

“No”, they shook their head to fast, their twenty-two eyes seemed to become one, reminding me of Sauron, “My job was to protect a normal person with a normal life. You were supposed to be mediocre, remember?”

Again, I shrugged but this time I had to grin: “That’s a pity then that I don’t remember being told to stay mediocre.”

“This is your own fault.”

“How?”, They could accuse me of much, but the situation they were supposed to get me out from for sure wasn’t my fault!

“Free will was a mistake”, they grumbled, dropped down onto the floor and stared at me, knowing very well they were stuck with me now. It was a rule after all that they couldn’t simply vanish and do whatever they wanted. We’d both learned that the hard way.

“Okay, listen”, I tried, shuffling a bit closer, ignoring their death glare with practised ease, “I couldn’t know the new machine would cause such a mess with the time and space continuum, okay?”

“But you built the machine!”

“I am a scientist after all, what was I supposed to do? Not build it?”

“Yes?”

“Nah!”, I shook my head and lifted my fist into the air, “It’s my honour of ...”

“Shut up”, they rolled their eyes and I wanted to know if they were allowed to even. This one seemed rather rude for an angelic creature.

“Are you actually a devil? A demon?”

Used to that question, they threw some of the dirty straw of the ground at me.

“I asked you to sit still for one damn week at least. Not even a month, not even a year. Just one damn week. And now what? I have to rescue you from an execution! With a velociraptor!”

Okay, to be fair I could see their point, but really, it wasn’t fair to blame it only on me.

“It was supposed to be the fifteenth century. How should I have known that they have tamed dinosaurs and use them to execute people?”

The deadpan look was one I was familiar with and the bright moonlight shining into my cell only heightened the round features.

“Listen”, they leaned forward and threw some more straw at me, “You claim yourself to be a scientist but does this look like the fifteenth century? What’s with all the filth? The murder and torture? Where’s all the culture and colours? You got it so wrong, I am not at all mad that they’re gonna kill you.”

“Is this personal?”, I asked but they looked away, pressing their knuckles until a satisfying crack was to be heard.

“Come on”, I grinned, “Those might be my last hours. Can’t you tell me why this has you so worked up?”

They squinted at me and then huffed: “It’s just on principle. I liked the century, okay? It’s my favourite.”

“With all the torture and wars?”

“I told you it wasn’t like that!”

We stared at each other for long moments, their pitch black eyes and rainbow coloured skin once more fascinating, especially with the enigmatic light.

“So, now what?”, I asked a bit later, “You’ll just stay and watch me get eaten?”

“Sure”, they shrugged.

“Okay”, I replied and leaned back against the cold stone wall of my cell. Maybe I should have worried more and maybe I should have panicked, but instead I felt calm and quiet, too used to last-second-rescues and insane situations. I appreciated the night as much as I could see through my small window, not even feeling the cold. The flimsy medieval farmer costume I’d gotten from a Halloween store for sure couldn’t be the reason for that. I wondered if my guardian angel was helping out by making me feel warm but I didn’t care enough to ask. Instead, I watched the way the clouds shifted slowly through the sky, covering the moon now and then, as if to hide it from our sight.

“They would have mistrusted you even if it was the actual fifteenth century and not some wild medieval filter horror fantasy”, they told me with their quiet, raspy voice which only seemed to echo in my head, “Your clothes look horrible and your green skin will forever be too obvious, but you know that at least.”

I stretched my arm out so it caught some light from the moon, the green almost greyish in this world. I had known. Of course, I had. I turned it around and opened my palm as if to catch each particle of colour I found. There was barely a difference between day and light here and I wondered if their sunrise and my execution would be here soon. The thought didn’t fill me with horror but with fascination. I giggled.

“You’re insane.”

I grinned: “You know you love me.”

“You’re a nuisance.”

“And I’ll forever come back to haunt you.”

They sighed dramatically: “I know. Sadly. But I’ll hide your equipment, I promise!”

“You can try!”

I’d only ever died once, despite their efforts to save me from getting between the lines but I already knew I’d always find a way back. And I was sure I’d find my equipment anywhere. I had a mission to continue after all.

Sudden voices outside and a low growl made us perk up and for a second I thought my guardian angel looked worried, maybe even thinking about rescuing me.

“Will you get into trouble?”

They shrugged: “A stern talking probably. But they don’t have anyone else to guard you.”

I laughed out loud, enjoying how the sound seemed to explode in this cold and silent space.

The guards coming into my cell looked at me with fear and confusion, unsure what to make of this strange creature who looked almost like them, a glitch in the matrix maybe. Five of them pointed their weapons at me, even though I would have followed them willingly, simply out of curiosity.

I turned to my Guardian Angel one last time, winking: “It’s always an honour to study Earth. It’s a pity I didn’t get to see much from this world this time.”

“Maybe”, they hissed, forced to follow me till the bitter end, “Don’t try to eat the pope next time.”

I snorted, remembering the taste I’d gotten and then I laughed and laughed and laughed, even when big teeth sank into my chest, ripping me apart, sinking the grey world into darkness.

 “Welcome on Earth, visitor”, a familiar voice said and I opened my eyes once more, staring at a world that looked as if it had been coloured by an especially happy five year old.

“This”, the disembodied light voice introduced a familiar, scowling figure in front of me, “is your Guardian Angel. They will accompany you during your time here and help you stay safe.”

“Hi”, I grinned, feeling a bit strange in my new skin, although it looked exactly like my old one, “Fancy seeing you here. How was it?”

They pulled a face: “Horrible. Your intestines were everywhere. At least my superiors stopped the scolding because I was still throwing up. No more dinosaurs please.”

I sat up properly, the fondness in my chest swelling thanks to their scowl: “I’ll try.”

As if put my feet down on the ground, sensing the soft, grassy texture for the first and thousandth time, a well known excitement took me over.

“But”, I couldn’t but grin and through their exasperated eye-roll I could see the hint of a mischievous smile, “I can’t promise.”

A walkikg green flag really. A human who doesn't let his past mistakes or his family's define him and works hard on himself. He made me understand what the term comfort character meant.

Know how they say, that once God starts giving, they give in abundance?

Yep to meet him and Pat Napat so closely? When I needed comfort? Yep. He is kind, hard working, genuine, respectful and just over all a lovely gem of a person and deserved a happier ending.

3) Kinn Theerapanyakul - KinnPorsche

He is my TO comfort character. Know that if world ia against kinn, the world is wrong. He is such a well written character and mile did great justice in bringing all the layers of kinn to life kn screen.

4) Rahul from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham

Resposible. Takes accountability of his actions. Understands the meaning of respect and commitment. A MAN.

5) Vincenzo from Vincenzo

Mafia consiligere who decides to put a pause on his revenge plans to help the opressed fuck the people in power and supporting a bamf lawyer whom he may have a crush on avenge her father's murder. 10) Arnav Singh Raizada - Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon

This a glimpse into my teenage days. Apparently i haven't changed all that much. I still like characters with a rough shell and soft inside. Dude saw his parents die due to his dad's cheating, had his relatives betray hik for property-developed a hard shell and lost faith in love only believing in money. Worked hard to make money and looked down on others-yep very mills and boons but khushi (the fl) actually had a backbone so a level above mills and boons.

Current favorite character: once again i'm bad at picking favorites and i jump between things too often but i have the consistent favorites of Hua Cheng and Lan Wangji and i've spent quite a lot of time thinking about Kiyoi Sou ever since i watched My Beautiful Man a couple months ago

Current WIP: uuuhhhhh there's the lwj chronic pain fic i started recently and that one ramking fic i started months ago but still haven't finished and also the Guardian birthday fic i started awhile back because i got caught up in thinking about how like half the characters in that are like at least over 100 years old (and Shen Wei who is over 10000) and was wondering how they would feel about the concept of birthdays and how they would work for them and if they even mean anything to them and if Shen Wei even remembers when his is anymore and i got a little angsty over it so i started writing about it lol
