Em (@mushroomminded) has made me laugh so hard that I cry as well as burst into laughter while actively crying. MiCoVerse has been so, so fun; I have recommended it to you all time and time again. If, for whatever reason, you haven't picked it up yet, now is a great time. Things have gotten chaotic, to say the least! But the characters are near and dear to my heart, and I have it on good authority that the end is bittersweet at best.

Backstory under cut!

I've fallen into the pit that is Splatoon lore, more specifically the Octo Expansion, so that's where the idea for their story came from! Basically Agent 5 was one of the inklings on the New Squidbeak Splatoon that went down to reclaim Inkopolis' Zapfish. They felt bad for the Octarians having to steal from the Inklings to get by, so they tried a more pacifistic approach, and ended up getting hit with sanitizer ink because of it. The New Squidbeak Splatoon assumed they were as good as dead and left them behind.

Fast forward to the present and Agent 5 is only half sanitized, VERY bitter at the New Squidbeak Splatoon/Inkopolis in general, and has faded into anonymity to try and have a normal life to the best of their ability. The sanitizer messed with their head a bit so they don't remember what their name used to be, hence them going by their old title.
