Random Qi Headcanons

- He cannot cook except for the most basic dishes and some slightly more complicated fish centric dishes. Since his parents were fishermen, his mom forced him to help with dinner sometimes and so he ended up learning a lot of fish dishes but it’s been a while since he’s made any of them.

- Despite it being such a big part of his early diet, he never really liked fish. The taste and texture were just too odd for him.

- He has a secret sweet tooth he’s a bit ashamed of. If you look at his likes, his only consumable he likes not involving tea is a Milk Chestnut, which is a desert item. I feel like aside from tea, he also tends to like sweeter drinks. I also think whenever he does drink coffee, he prefers it sweeter. I just can’t see him taking his coffee black lmao.

- Even tho he does like sweet things, he rarely admits it. I have an idea in my head of someone bringing him those super over flavored sweet iced lattes and every time he goes “:/ I don’t really like sweet things…” but then he drinks the whole thing in like 10 minutes and whenever the person is like “So you don’t want me to bring one next time?” He’s like “Well uh I never said that…”

- I also think it would be cute if the reason why Milk Chestnut is in his likes is bcuz it was a nostalgic thing, like his family always used to make it.

- This isn’t rly a hc since it’s very implied, but this man has a serious problem with compartmentalizing everything. He can take almost any type of stress bcuz he compartmentalizes it, but occasionally it will lead to him just randomly breaking down in silent tears and he has no idea why (I speak from experience..)

- He is aroacespec! He just is to me idk what to say. Not many deep thoughts on this one but he is very aromantic and asexual to me. If I was to put a deeper label on it probably like demiromantic and grayasexual, but sexuality and stuff like that isn’t really a big thing in the MTU (which makes sense like not only is it way in the future but the literal apocalypse happened)

- He has a whole binder of old designs he made up when he was a kid, some he’s made a reality some he hasn’t. He’s a very sentimental person, so it makes sense he would keep things from his past close. He wants to make his young self proud and prove everyone who said he couldn’t do it that he, in fact, can.

- This one is inspired by @/mytimeatlautia, he has a weighted blanket as a sensory aid. I think it would be adorable if he made the design for it himself too. (Imagine a personal quest where you need to make it for him and he won’t say why he needs it idk I just think that’s cute.)

- He names all his plants even though he thinks it’s stupid (he will not admit he names them). I also think that despite having so many plants he doesn’t really like biology that much, like he knows a good bit abt it ofc but I don’t think he’s super interested in it. He just likes having plants, he heard somewhere it’s good for your mental health and was like “So if I get a lot of plants it means I don’t need to spend as much time outdoors” (even though those things don’t really connect my guy is out here trying to be as efficient as possible.)

That’s just a couple. He’s my little guy. I love him vm.

Finished My Time at Sandrock a few days ago and started playing Coral Island. Ended up marrying Qi in Sandrock.

I'm only a few game days in so I'm not sure who I will pursue on Coral Island. Generally in farming games I usually don't worry about romance until the second year. Although when I gave a flower bouquet to Surya and he blushed he moved up on my list. There are many benefits to dating a marine biologist.

₊˚⊹⋆ Howdy there! It’s finally time for Sandrock's final release yay ₊˚⊹⋆

To celebrate this special occasion Sandara pulled off her jewelry making skills to prepare some unique rings for every sandrocker who wishes to propose to their soulmate ! So without further, here's a little story behind each design,

Qi - Sended an intriguing blueprint to Sandara with complex symbols and diagrams…He assured her that it meant something important to his soulmate so she craved the coded message in precious silver with care. Even if she didn’t get Qi special love language as usual she was sure his loved one would get it ;)

Owen - Our favorite bartender showed an intricate design to Sandara, a delicate pattern almost the same as his own parents' engagement ring. Like the gilding flowers on the cover of a fine book he wished to give his lover the beginning of the story they were about to write together in this life.

Fang - The swan holding a special meaning to him Fang requested Sandara to make his ring the shape of that gracious animal to seal his promise to love and cherish his dearest one forever.

Ernest - Came by with this big and expensive pearl that got a special meaning to him asking Sandara if she could add it to his ring. The pearl symbol of his loyalty and love was carefully placed on the gold ring, the initials of his name and his lover one engraved on the inside.

Pablo - He made a special request to Sandara in search of the most colorful metal they could find for his ring in which bismuth mineral was perfect! Showing how bright and full of all the colors of this world his love was for his chosen one.

Arvio - Insisting on getting the most fine materials Arvio asked for a special ring. He showed Sandara a rare sand flower from Baranarok symbolizing hope and renewal inspiring the shape of that jewel meant to bond him and his other half forever.

Miguel - Requested a rather simple but very elegant ring, made with pale gold with a single diamond to show the purity of his love for his chosen one.

Burgess - Asked for something extra special to convey all his will to live in happiness and kindness with his soulmate. The yellow diamond he chose shining in the center of his ring radiating like the sun all his love.

Pen - In secret Pen demanded the most powerful ring Sandara could make to give his special one great strength and power he’s all for. However he never delivered it himself…

Unsuur - While admiring his collection Unsuur couldn't choose which gem was more fitting so he brought them all to Sandara to make a special ring! (even adding a few shards Wilson lost to make the base of his special ring ;)

Justice - Wanted a pretty ring that still felt like him so Sandara took great care at bringing out Justice strong will and honesty toward his most precious one with this silver and copper ring.

Logan - The only one Sandara didn’t make because well Logan made it himself for his special one! On late hunt nights he sat by the fire and carefully carved this ring in bones with the will to give his loved one something he made with all his heart.

This isn’t much but I hope everyone will have much fun playing and living wonderful adventures with Sandrockers friendly as romantic ones ! As I used to study jewelry making it was very much fun to do and fitting hc that Sandara would make them for the town folks !

It’s been already one year that I have being in this fandom and so so grateful for everything it brought me and the wonderful people it allowed me to meet ♡

I’m currently working on the girl next and some custom ones for my fellow builders who helped me with the designs ◇

Okay I finally have some Qi's cosplay shot !

I LOVE TO TAKE STUPID PICTURES so don't be surprised.

I imagined some story while taking photos.

Qi explored a new abandoned ruins alone in order ro find some data disc and relics. And he get into an... Weeb appartement ? (I DON'T HOW TO DESCRIBE MY HOUSE MORE EASILY HAAAAA)

But the thing he liked THE MOST into this appartement is... A kettle that makes blue light ! The perfection for him, cuz he always drinking tea !! And he found a little statue of Dark Samus, but from his point of view it's just a little robotic armour, but that's still cool.

And finally, into the living room he found... A computer, with a digital version of him !! How strange, maybe that's a sign 🤔

Okay I only have one non stupid picture.

Excepting the fact that the cup is a Pikachu head but anyway.

And like usual I have "funny unwanted pictures" because I have a Bluetooth button that activates the phone's camera remotely, and usually I'm putting in under my feet or underarm. Aaaaand sometimes I press it without knowing it. So when I open my phone gallery, I have some surprises 😂

I just had the cutest idea. About Qi and the kids.

So, I don’t think he ever explicitly says it but Qi definitely does not like kids. They’re kinda stupid and a lot of kids (esp young kids) are very annoying and distracting. He also does not know how to interact with kids, because kids are strange.

So because of this, I always imagine that whenever Jasmine gets him his mail, he’s always like “alright you can go now.” (Because I don’t think there’s a mailbox by the research center so I imagine she just knocks on his door and hands it to him.) just generally cold towards her bcuz he doesn’t have time for this shit and also doesn’t know what he’d talk about even if he did. I feel like despite this, Jasmine wishes she knew what was up with him because she just wants to be friends with everyone.

Because of this, I think it would be silly and fun if Jasmine picked up on Qis interest in Gungham and read some of the comic books or something and started talking to Qi about it.

I think at first Jasmine absolutely does not understand why Qi likes it so much. It’s all fights and that’s just not really her thing. But when she starts talking to Qi about it Qis like “Nono listen, now I doubt you’d be able to understand but the fights are what makes it emotionally powerful. How could you possibly think it’s boring when robot 623 is struggling to find a reason to keep going on. It’s about his issues with humanity, obviously it’s a metaphor not just a fight.” And then I think Jasmine gets it a bit more.

Qi will “Begrudgingly” explain all the deeper nuances within the themes in the series. Jasmine is pretty smart for her age, and I think that this would probably happen when she’s a bit older, like 8 or 9 instead of 5 like in canon (I think she’s canonically 5 at least?) (edit: now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure her age isn’t canonically confirmed BUT I think she’s probably more around 7-8 years old just because Andy seems much more like around that age and they’re about the same age. So for her being friends with Qi maybe she’s like 10-11.) I don’t think It annoys Qi to no end that she doesn’t just get it but also he loves to talk about his little robots and overtime she grows on him.

I also think it would be funny if Jasmine tried to get Andy into it and Andy’s like “Wow I love these fights that’s so cool!” And Qis like “Hmph. I honestly don’t think I can help you. Your prefrontal cortex is clearly nowhere near developed enough to even being to process any in depth emotional moments. You simply don’t have enough experience in any type of field to even start to grasp it on the most basic of levels.” (Andy does not know what he’s talking about at all.)

Plus it’s funny to imagine Jasmine going to Trudy and being like “I think I made friends with Director Qi :)” and Trudy is like huh. If she asks him about it, he’s like “Your daughter is truly remarkable for her age, most children are completely idiotic and incapable of understanding the very base level of most concepts, but she’s quite intelligent.”

ANYWAYS. I just think they’re cute :)
