The 19th century AU exists only to put Narinder in a suit, sorry guys the rest of it is just salad dressing (shitty doodle and color attempt of his clothing here)
cotl grabbed me by the throat and hasnt yet letme go, have a short (500ish words) blurb i wrote about my lamb and why they eventually grew to betray narinder
there is a terror in knowing, the lamb has come to recognize. a terror in the knowledge of the future and past that no entity should have. a terror in knowing there is something. something beyond even the gods, which has set it sights onto the lamb. dug its claws in so deep, the lamb fails to understand where they begin and the entity ends.
the first time was confusing. the lamb had completed their duty. the purpose for which they had been granted life twofold complete.
and yet here they were, shackled again, become threefold become four.
they questioned it, at first, begged the god from which they derived existence to grant them knowledge, to tell them why they must live again, why he remains shackled, why the hearts of interlopers remain beating, when the lamb had spent eons ensuring otherwise.
but he did not understand. he claimed the lamb to new to his domain. freshly slaughtered.
what did a lamb know, compared to a god?
they accepted what was truth and continued on. no matter of visions or memories they had a duty. their birth was one destined to end in death, this they know and this they accept
they relinquish what is not theirs. they complete their duty
they awaken. shacked and pathetic. walking towards the faces of fallen gods they know well. they know the heart of these four, they know their deaths two times over. they will make it threefold
there is a horror. in knowing the rolls of dice. of knowing the exact movements of enemies, of knowing the name, the thoughts the prayers of a follower not yet recruited
the lamb continues on. they will complete their duty. The crown weights heavy on their brow. To be returned to its rightful place.
The lamb relinquishes what is not theirs.
They awaken shackled.
they are chained to this duty. their cycle. it is an honor awarded to no others. none else remember
they wonder if this is simply a dream. a cyclical reality held within the domain of their beloved. their god.
they awaken shackled. there is something behind them.
The lamb relinquishes what is not theirs. the cracking of their bones is still the same. they find a comfort in it. their flock screams.
They awaken shackled. there is an entity behind them. they do not turn their head.
it is familiar to them. they feel its hands guiding them forward, it feels sacrilegious
The lamb completes their duty.
They relinquish what is not theirs. the crown is lifted from their brow.
They awaken shackled. hands grasp at their neck.
They kneel. once again.
a familiar setting. it is pure, white. godly. the lamb does not belong here. they have been tainted, another watches them, they have forsaken their god, their benefactor by no will of their own.
a voice whispers at their ears. they cannot make out the words
They relinquish what is not theirs.
They awaken, shackled. there are hands at their neck, guiding their arms, pushing them forward. there is a voice at their ear.
The lamb completes their duty. they kneel and relinquish what is not theirs and they ignore the voice at their side, it is a voice of a smiling entity, it beckons them to disobey, to discard their purpose, to grow claws unnatural to their own flesh, and hold onto what is not rightfully theirs
The lamb awakens shackled. there is a voice at their side and a smile in the corner of their eyes.
I sometimes be thinking about old faith fashion and culture and trying to construct in my head what garments would look like each of the bishop's domains but a lot of problems arise in the process. Apart from having to think of how the different environments would affect fabric preferences as well as fabric construction technology, you gotta somehow imagine what their technological capabilities and limitations are in a magic fantasy world.
I think in anchordeep they might prefer very light and flowing fabrics. The way the fabric flows around the water is very crucial to how the figure is shaped.
So I do think Christopher Lee is a good choice for Narinder, but could I also suggest Griffith Kimmins specifically with his voice for Mao Mao?
You mean Parker Simmons? That man is a friggen beast, he voice acted like, half of the cast. I can see that! His delivery wouldn’t be nearly as hysterical as Mao Mao typically is, but the gruffness of his voice would suit his small cat form immensely well. Ntm The part where Mao Mao barfs up his binoculars will never not be fucking hilarious to me, the whole show is incredibly underrated. Badgerclops’s voice would also suit Lamb (Ill think of a name for them soon) really well in that scenario
Once brought back to life and integrated into the cult, those who were once deities themselves have been reduced to mere mortals condemned to immortality.
At their side, a caretaker in charge of keeping them in line, helping with their integration and, perhaps, a punishment in itself.
Hey, now there's the complete collection! I have plans for a comic that includes all of them, so I needed a reference of their looks.
I'll add a bit of info about them below.
**You can find info about Leshy, Heket and Narinder here.
The new additions, Kallamar & Shamura, "The Unwanted".
Kallamar causes a particular disdain in the False Prophet, so going to find him was not a priority until it became inevitable. The confrontation and recruitment of him did not improve that impression, really. He was assigned the clown suit to lower his ego and to work in the refineries. Choosing who would be in charge of him was the easiest, considering that the squid arrived directly to the infirmary.
Shamura is a very special case. There are two reasons why they weren't annihilated once they touch the cult's ground: their lack of memory and their siblings. The False Prophet didn't do much more than give them the golden skull necklace and left the rest to whoever wanted to take charge. It's hard to get a clear idea of what the leader really feels about the spider, but their silence and how they ignore their existence is something the cult tends to share in solidarity.
Camellia was assigned to take care of Leshy as a "guide cat." Prior to this, the False Prophet had had some problems with him since he was a somewhat violent drunk, so in part, this mission was his rehabilitation. Able to confront the worm's aggressiveness and keep his spirits high, they ended up having a good relationship where they were usually seen laughing while tending to the gardens and the harvest. His grave always has fresh flowers.
Mushu was assigned as Heket's interpreter, since she was the only one who was not intimidated by her and could understand her easily. Cordial and friendly, her personality allowed their relationship, although somewhat difficult at first, to end up being harmonious. Something similar to a shadow, the mushroom girl was there at all times to help the frog communicate. Thanks to her work, the cult learned approach the former bishop and future generations were teach how to understand and communicate with her.
Crystal, the head nurse at the time, was in charge of keeping the temperamental former bishop in line, with permission to use force if necessary. Hurt ego and justified fear aside, she was the only one who showed him sympathy apart from his siblings, so it wasn't strange to see Kallamar wandering around the infirmary even when she allowed him some freedom. Crystals decorate the infirmary to this day.
Aracnia was the only volunteer to help Shamura at the time, since despite their siblings' wishes, the ex bishops weren't able care for them all the time due to their own obligations in the cult. The False Prophet accepted his wish for what it was, simply wanting to help someone in need, so they provided him with whatever he wanted for this task. After his death, it's not strange to see some followers and even disciples take care of the spider on their own. The leader just remains silent.

+ Bonus because I wanted to have a clear reference of all the clothes they have in game and yeah, I did an edit of the lamb with the closed outfit in game that I could use.
