Week 5 Intro to Public Relations Campaign NBA 75 Playoff Anniversary
Tumblr media
What the PR activity is that they are analysing: This Article is showing the history of the NBA playoffs through out the last 75 years celebrating the NBA playoffs and their is an excellent Video that adds more to the campaign.
Who is leading the campaign and who is involved: The NBA legends and the future of the NBA are leading this campaign with the some broadcasters legends and new broadcasters. The NBA wanted to have a mix and match when it came to this because of the history of the NBA but also how new generation has changed the NBA.
What are the major PR tools being used: Video opportunity and celebrities/athletes the NBA created a video prompting lots of attention however adding some of the best basketball players of all time and some of the best basketball players now added more attention and made people watch the video more.
Where they saw it and if/how they engaged with it: I saw it on Youtube because I subscribe to the NBA on Youtube and have notifications on. When I watched the Video I loved the dynamic of it I thought the NBA did a really good job especially with the Top 75 Players in the NBA having the jacket they received in the Video
Critical reflection: I believe this was a reflective campaign because how the NBA have used the past present and future and added a new dimension to everything. The NBA got the message across by showing fans how the NBA has evolved from the 1950's to now.

William Felton Russell (February 12, 1934 – July 31, 2022) was a basketball player who played as a center for the Boston Celtics from 1956-1969. A five-time NBA MVP and a 12-time NBA All-Star, he was the centerpiece of the Celtics dynasty that won 11 NBA championships during his 13-year career. He is tied for the record of the most championships won by an athlete in a North American sports league. He is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. He led the San Francisco Dons to two consecutive NCAA championships in 1955 and 1956 and he captained the gold-medal-winning national basketball team at the 1956 Summer Olympics.
He was born to Charles Russell and Katie Russell in West Monroe, Louisiana. When he was eight years old, his father moved to Oakland.
He never averaged more than 19.0 points per game in any season. He led the NBA in rebounds four times, had a dozen consecutive seasons of 1,000 or more rebounds, and remains second all-time in both total rebounds and rebounds per game. He is one of just two NBA players to have grabbed more than 50 rebounds in a game.
He was the first African American player to achieve superstar status. He served a three-season (1966–69) stint as player-coach for the Celtics, becoming the first African American coach in North American professional sports and the first to win a championship. President Barack Obama awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his accomplishments on the court and in the civil rights movement.
He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, was one of the founding inductees into the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame, and was enshrined in the FIBA Hall of Fame. He was selected into the NBA 25th Anniversary Team and the NBA 35th Anniversary Team, named as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History, one of only four players to receive all three honors, and selected into the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. The NBA renamed the NBA Finals MVP trophy to the Bill Russell NBA Finals MVP Award. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for his coaching career. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence #kappaalphapsi

how would you describe your (fashion) style!
well i've got long legs and a short torso so lots of pants that are either at the ankle or longer. i typically get my clothes from M&S, Uniqlo and H&M. I love formal wear so i've got lots of little bits and bobs that allow me to create outfits! i wear mostly greys, blues and blacks. i do like bold patterns and colors so i've got some bright light blue pants, checkered golf pants (which are my lucky pants) and bright blue nike shorts i got on sale at Academy but as an athlete i've got loads of sports gear both from my school and my own that i use for training and such but today i've got a sweater on that i thrifted and dark blue pants from M&S and the 75th anniversary fiesta NBA air force ones :))

💥MY TOP 5 GREATEST NBA PLAYERS OF ALL TIME💥
#EMTECH
#1STBLOG
1. MICHAEL JORDAN - "THE GOAT"
This man is arguably the Greatest Basketball Player to ever set foot on Earth. Wins 3 rings in a row then retired and when he came back, they win another 3 rings. So this man have a 6-0 record in the Finals. He won a Defensive Player of the Year Award in 1988 along with his 5 MVPs, 6 FMVPs with his 10 Scoring Titles and was named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team and if I mention all of MJs accomplishments and achievements it's gonna take years.
2. LEBRON JAMES - "THE KING" "THE CHOSEN ONE"
They are only 2 players who are in the conversation of being the "GOAT" or the Greatest Of All Time. It's Lebron and Michael, You can't hate someone when they put Lebron in their Top 1 because when you say greatness it's a crime to leave The King behind. For me what secured his spot in the "GOAT CONVERSATION" with MJ was his performance in 2016 when he led the Cleveland Cavaliers back from a 3-1 deficit against the 73-win Golden State Warriors. He was a 4x Nba Champion, 4x Nba Finals MVP, 4x Nba MVP, 19x Nba All Star, 19 All Nba Selection and was named to the NBA's 75th Anniversary Team. He also surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the All Time Leading Scorer. Greatness.
3. KAREEM ABDUL-JABBAR - "THE TOWER FROM POWER"
The former NBA's All Time Leading Scorer and the inventor of one of the most iconic move in Basketball History, the "Classical Sky Hook" it was his move on his road to 38, 387 career points. He was an 6x Nba Champion, 2x Nba Finals MVP, 6x Nba MVP, 19x Nba All Star, 20x All Nba Selections and was named to the 75th Nba Anniversary Team. Old but Gold.
4. EARVIN JOHNSON - "MAGIC"
The Best Point Guard of All Time. Just think about how incredible it is that in his first season in the legue, Magic startd Game 6 of the NBA Finals at center and dropped 42 points. He won 5 NBA Championships, 3 Nba Finals MVP, 3 Nba MVP, 12 Nba All Star Appearances and 10 All Nba Selections. He also was named in the 75th Nba Anniversary Team. Magic. Showtime.
5. KOBE BRYANT - "THE BLACK MAMBA"
First of All, Rest in Peace to the Mamba himself Kobe Bean Bryant. He is one of the most iconic names in all Basketball History. Many kids idolized him for his Mentality and I can't hide the fact that I am one of those kids. We see the accomplishments in Kobe as he won 5 NBA Championships , 2 Nba Finals MVP, 1 Nba MVP, 18 Nba All Star Appearances and 15 All Nba Selections. He was also named to 75th Nba Anniversary Team. Mamba Mentality. Mamba Out.

The Nike Dunk Low EMB ‘Bulls’ is one pair in a collection celebrating the 75th anniversary of the NBA, delivered in the unmistakable palette of the Chicago Bulls. Chili Red and black overlays at the heel and forefoot intersect the all-white leather base while the signature Swoosh appears in a contrasting black leather. Branding saluting the anniversary appears on the tongue tag and with diamond imagery on the lace dubrae. I decided to take this pair to the next level by adding some personal custom touches. I used my Foxtrot Customizing Kit to add some aging and vintage feel to the sole and edges to the upper. Yellowing of the tongue, lace swap and a Foxtrot Locker box with mix-matched Nike top. As you have probably already figured out, this custom job was inspired by the classic Union 1 Jordan collab and the Lost and found Jordan 1's.
