Rings of power's diverse casting was done very poorly. I am not against it, but i am against how it was done, you can't just slap poc around and have no one saying anything in a full white environment.

Yes, black people exist in both our world and Tolkien's world but since this isn't 2022 were globalization is everywere but a medieval-like setting, you have to justify it.

A diverse decorated armor plate for a soldier, maybe a sword with a different shape, something indicating he's from the south.

Even better, immagine Durin's home but with a mix of decorations, then have his wife dressed in elegant foreign clothes and jewerly instead of... those rags with a necklage they gave her in the show.

I have no idea how to explain Saddoc though, since hobbits are close to outsiders and very distrustful of new things.

I realized how i didn't mind diverse casting in Lotr related media with Sadow of War, that game has some lore friendly issues *cough cough Shelob cough* but Baranor never felt weird expecially because he fucking tells you he's Haradrim so every time i see him my mind focuses on him and not on how different he is from anyone else

A trope I dislike: fruity slut gays. It's been done to death, it's a narrow slice of the gay experience as a whole and I think it's generally played in a boring way. That's my biggest complaint about it honestly.

OC I'm proud of: I'm very proud of Audrey of course, she's my gal, but I'm particularly fond of one of her on and off again compatriots: Richard "Big Dick" Grant, a South African ex-merc turned supernatural big game hunter. At 6'4" he lives up to his name (with a personality to fill in any space that might have been missed) and even though passing middle age a decade ago has softened his profile, it hasnt dulled his edge as the necklage of mongolian death worm teeth he wears will attest. He's got a bit of osteomancy magic but mostly relies on being incredibly skilled in tracking and strategy to get the job done and it's earned him an impressive collection of heads on his wall. He's currently trying out a cozier contract gig as Han's second in command and goon wrangler. Idk if he'll ever show up on Tumblr as more than an occasional mention but he's been very fun to develop.

Fondest rp memory: getting to meet you honestly, that day and everything that's come of it has been a turning point in my life that I treasure.

I thought I was done crafting, I just wanted to do one (1) of these, but my brain exploded once again... But well, at least it was fun? (although I sweared like. A LOT.)
