More Soul Eater Au!!  Technically a prequel to this where prom is a weapon hesitant to transform as his pistol form is a dead giveaway to his origins in Niflheim and accidentally ends up partnering with Noctis, the crown prince who just so happens to be looking for a weapon partner. Shenanigans ensue, and the two become the best meister-weapon pair in insomnia. Eventually, noct reveals to prom that he’s a weapon himself, able to transform into the form of every weapon in the armiger! :D

Sola/Little Nox Dissidia au
@raven-6-10 @secret-engima
The promised trainwreck under the cut!
The Citadel's been a wreck of tension ever since Spitfire and the prince went missing. Abyssus yowling fit to wake the dead brought the on-duty glaives running to find Sola's bed empty, phone still on her bedside table and all her shoes still in her closet, all signs pointing to an unwilling departure despite a clear absence of any sign of a struggle.
They'd raised the alarm, checking on the rest of the royal family and their retinue-
-and found Prince Noctis' bed as empty as his sister's.
Then, while Citadel security was swarming like a kicked anthill, spearheaded by a blackly furious Marshal and King's Shield looking for their godschildren, those guarding the Crystal had sounded the alarm.
Which is when they'd found their missing royals, via the Crystal putting out a hologram of the two like something from a bad science fiction movie.
Tredd hasn't gotten a decent night's sleep in four days.
If it's not the palpable worry radiating from the King racking up the tension, then it's the fact that the royal children have been summoned to a desolate world to participate in what's essentially a glorified death match on opposite teams, during which Prince Noctis is in nothing but his pajamas.
No one is ever again calling Sola's insistence on keeping her deployment bags in her armiger frivolous.
Though, if Tredd has to be completely honest, Sola's younger brother's lack  of proper attire is only a fraction of what's causing the tension. No, the bulk of it goes to Spitfire's newest Uncle and now youngest brother. The once-Chancellor of Niflheim and Captain's kid. Captain's kid who's apparently the Crown Prince's clone, created from a sample Niflheim stole how knows how many years back.
Luche had dipped out to make a phone call to Axis, because those are Arra braids in Ardyn and Nox's hair, and Axis had completely neglected to mention that his recent adoptees were Lucis Caelums, leaving Tredd to watch Axis' clansmen on this fucked-up version of reality TV.
Nyx has been teaching Spitfire the Ulric Dance ever since her Rage a few months back clued them all into the fact that Spitfire's as Sky-born as anyone can get without being an actual dragon - and seriously, Tredd is this close to shaking Nyx, the idiot needs to adopt her already, for Ramuh's sake - so he's in the room whenever he's not sleeping. Which means Libertus is also here, making sure Nyx does take the time to sleep because the last thing any of them need is the twitchy Ulric doing something Dumb, aided by Abyssus literally carrying Nyx out of the room when it's time to catch some shut eye.
Crowe's anxiously watching her girlfriend fight off various monsters and champions, fingers plucking at the rubber band Crowe's worn on her wrist ever since the Burning. This hadn't been how Sola and Crowe had wanted Sola's family to find out about that particular relationship, but Crowe had adamantly refused to be barred from the room for a second until Sola came back.
Luche, like Tredd, is there as Axis' braided brother, leaving the rest of the Fourth Regiment to attend in shifts depending who's on break, with Pelagia and her Third Regiment counterpart running everything because Captain is also busy watching this clusterfuck.
The Marshal's not left since the whole thing started - has he even slept? - but the King and Shield have to leave for short periods to make token appearances lest the entire country learn the royal children have disappeared into the ether. Gladiolus and Ignis have to be forced out of the room for their studies, which has apparently resulted in temper tantrums worthy of a Raging Sola, but the two young teens have yet to convince the King, Shield, or Marshal otherwise so the process repeats every day without fail.
Sola latching on to her new uncle and brother isn't a surprise. She's Sky-born, they do that. Especially because for all that the ex-Chancellor is clearly missing more than a few lines to his sails, he equally as clearly cares for and is protective of his niece and nephews, despite his distaste for Regis and Mors.
Were it not for the danger to her brothers, Sola would probably be having fun. The chance to cut loose against other skilled fighters? No one looming over her shoulder, scrutinizing her every action and deeming anything not up to their standards as 'monstruous'? Sola would have loved that in any other scenario.
But Spitfire has two brothers to protect, and Tredd swears under his breath when Sola assigns herself to Noctis and Nox's guard team, instead letting Ardyn join the strike team. The self-sacrificing dumbass.
"Care to explain that?"
Whoops.
Tredd cringes away from the Marshal's displeasure, silently thanking the Storm-Father that the King and Lord Amicitia are off in an unavoidable meeting with one of the Councilors.
"Sola is better suited on the strike team, sir." Luche says politely, before Tredd can stick his foot further in his mouth. "She's not usually charged with guard duties in the field."
The Marshal eyes them both severely. "Izunia is stronger than Sola." He says sourly. The revelation of the former Chancellor's heritage and all it's unpleasant implications hasn't been fun for anyone. "He can take a smaller strike team, freeing more people to guard Noctis and Nox." Unsaid is the fact that neither Sola nor Ardyn will leave the princes alone with strangers.
"Yes, sir." Luche demurs. That had been the argument Sola used to convince Ardyn.
(Tredd hadn't thought anyone could be more protective than Sola of her brothers, but Ardyn has her beat by a mile. Ifrit have mercy on whoever tries to harm either of the princes in the future, because Sola and Ardyn sure as Pyre won't, and Tredd doubts there'll be enough of the moron in question afterwards to scatter their ashes.)
Tactically, the assignments have merit. As Tredd exchanges a glance with an equally grim-faced Luche, he knows tactics aren't what they - or any of the glaives - are worried about.
Spitfire doesn't do defense. It's not a matter of skill. Tredd wouldn't be worried if it was, skill they can compensate for.
No, the issue is that Sola's a damn dragon of a Sword. Her first, second, and third instinct when dealing with threats is to kill it. She can't do that on defense - her priority has to be Noctis and Nox's safety, even if it means letting her target escape.
It's not impossible. Not when she's got help.
And yet Tredd can't shake the feeling that this isn't going to end any way but badly.
.
Tredd's right.
Two days later, everything goes to Ifrit's Pyre in a gift basket.
The strike team is away, trying to complete whatever the objective is that will send them all home.
(Ardyn is a force of destruction to contend with, tearing through enemies like they're tissue paper, making the King pale with an anguished epiphany he refused to share.)
The ambush catches everyone off guard. The strange dragon-like creatures swarm the protective detail. The healers push Nox and Noctis behind them, the champions better suited for close quarters combat struggling to keep the creatures off their more vulnerable companions.
In the commotion, Tredd doesn't see what sparks it, but he sure as Pyre sees when Spitfire loses it.
A low snarl rips from her throat, gaze and focus narrowing down on the threat in front of her.
Crowe swears. "Pyre-damn it all, someone back her up-"
But none of the other champions are watching Sola's back. They're too busy with their own battles, too busy keeping the kids safe. They don’t notice how Spitfire's been drawn away from the rest of the group, don't see the blind spot left vulnerable without a glaive or Abyssus there to cover her.
If Sola's family hadn’t known before, they've sure as Pyre realized it now. It's impossible to miss the glaives' reactions - Luche's grim certainty, Libertus' hand a physical restraint on Nyx's shoulder, Nyx's hands clenching and unclenching as he resists the useless instinct to grab his kukris and throw, Crowe's snarling at people who cannot hear, the way every muscle in Tredd's frame coils as he fights off the Fury rising like a wave-
-and crests, as Spitfire staggers, the attack she doesn't see ripping through her. Magic erupts throughout the room as Sola's eyes widen and her face twists in an agonized cry that has no breath to voice.
Sola hits the ground, and Nox s c r e a m s.
Ghostly weapons tear through the remaining creatures, a constant stream of light and steel that is nothing like any armiger they've seen. Champions startle as weapons pass through them harmlessly only to shred the creatures around them, until nothing remains.
The healers rush to Sola's side, but even from here, Tredd can see that it's bad. Really bad - he doesn't know if Spitfire's going to make it even with three healers and her own regeneration trying to save her life.
There's another burst of magic and Ardyn arrives, terrified and protective - Nox's magic must have alerted him, but Tredd doesn't know what the ex-Chancellor can do that the healers can't, Lucis Caelum magic just doesn't heal…
Ardyn takes in Nox, boneless with exhaustion and sobbing in Noctis' hold. Noctis, trying to keep it together. The champions doing their best to shield them from where Sola is laying on the ground between the healers.
(None of them can see it in the blue of the Crystal's hologram, how Sola is too pale against the shock of red hair haloed around her face, nearly indistinguishable from the blood staining the grass.)
Something in Ardyn's spine steels. He strides forward, ignoring the champions' attempts to keep him back, shedding his upper layers before he kneels and gathers Sola against his bare chest.
(The scars hit Tredd like a sucker punch. They've all seen some gnarly scars, no one survived the Burning unscathed, but these… these are torture scars. Torture scars and death blows and the glowing sigil of the royal family that can't be anything other than a brand.)
(The King is white as a sheet. Tredd wants to throw up. Parents are supposed to support you, not… not this.)
(Six, no wonder Axis kept Ardyn and Nox's heritage a secret. That Ardyn is able to trust and care for any of his Kin is astounding.)
It's not until magic rises from Ardyn's skin that Tredd realized what's happening. That he realizes what the tint of the Crystal's magic had disguised. But he's seen Spitfire heal others dozens of times out in the field, he recognizes this shaping of magic, and Ardyn is so much stronger than Spitfire-
It doesn't make it any easier to watch as Ardyn's skin splits, his blooding pouring out to join Sola's painting the ground. Doesn't make it any easier to watch as his wounds close, Ardyn gasping and trembling from more than just pain as he curls over his healed but unconscious niece, even as Noctis and Nox barrel in to comfort him.
Tredd's almost relieved when the Marshal turns to them and demands, "What the fuck just happened?"
As one, every glaive turns to Nyx. He's the only Chief present, he's the only one who can make the decision to share Galahdian lore with Outsiders as he has been with Sola.
Nyx stares a few moments longer at Sola's too-still form, hands flexing. Finally, he turns to face the Marshal and the King, expression dark as a thunderstorm. "We call it the Draconian's Rage."
"We?" The King's eyes are sharp. Tredd thinks he sees something of the warrior the King must have been when he visited Galahd twenty years ago.
"Galahd. The Draconian and the Infernian weren't the only Astrals to Bless humans. The magic disappeared long before the time of the Founder, but we still Remember." Nyx glances back to where the healers are fussing over Sola and Ardyn and Nox. "You have the Draconian's Blessing. But the Draconian isn't human."
Nyx turns back to the King, storm-blue locking with armiger-blue. "The Astrals aren't human, and sometimes their Blessed aren't either."
The King's lips thin. "You're saying my daughter isn't human." Treading on dangerous ground - the King's never taken kindly to the rumors painting Sola a monster.
"Physically, she is." Nyx says, steady as the cliffs against the storm-swept tides. "In her soul? Her instincts? She's no more human than I am."
That startles the King. "You are-?"
"Ramuh's. Storm to Sola's Sky."
There were rumors that the Ulrics were Ramuh's Blessed. Coeurl-Kin. Shape-changers and Wind-Walkers and as Black as the storms in their souls.
Tredd never thought he'd hear the rumors confirmed. This is Clan History. Private Clan History only ever shared with Clan Allies. If that.
"We thought you knew." Tredd says, trying to buy some leeway for Nyx. Tredd can't reveal that he's also not-quite human. Not without his Chief's permission. He might be able to get away with telling Sola - it's only a matter of time before she joins the Clans - but King Regis? Tredd would be in serious trouble. "You have thousands of years of history. Family customs as unique as any of ours." Customs catering specifically to those non-human instincts, Tredd doesn't say.
Tredd suspected otherwise after Sola's Rage in HQ. Sola didn't know anything about her Rages, only that she'd get so angry she couldn't think beyond needing to kill something. She was terrified that she'd try to kill anyone near her, hence her retreating somewhere secluded until she could regain control over herself. When she'd come out of her Rage to find Nyx and Tredd at the end of her weapons, injured but otherwise in one piece, she'd been horrified that she might have tried to kill them.
She hadn't known that she wouldn't. That even in the deepest Rage, her instincts would recognize the difference between hers and threat. Sola would never harm an innocent bystander. Not on purpose. Not unless they provoked her first.
So Tredd had suspected. He didn't want to believe it - how could the Lucis Caelums not have any information of the Draconian's Blessed? He knows Mainlanders don't keep Tales like the Clans do, but they do keep records! Sola cannot be the first Lucis Caelum to be Skyborn!
But no. The royal family has no clue.
What a mess.
"What does that mean for Sola?" The Marshal asks while the King processes Nyx's revelation.
"She's protective." Crowe says. Tredd snorts at the understatement of the century. "She'll react violently to anything threatening her Claimed. Lethally, if she can - Skyborn don't like leaving threats alive to try again."
"Prince Noctis and Nox are her only vulnerable Claimed. Prince Nox has his uncle to protect and care for him, which will satisfy Sola's instincts." Because nothing short of an Astral will be able to get past Ardyn to harm Nox, and even then Tredd would still put his money on Ardyn. "But Sola's Sword to Prince Noctis, and the oldest and strongest of his Retinue. She's his primary protector. Not being allowed or able to kill anything threatening him will stress her instincts."
The Marshal grimaces, glancing at the King and Shield. Tredd wonders if he's thinking about how Sola came to join the Kingsglaive. She'd eventually told them the circumstances behind her joining their training, one night out on deployment. Knowing now that Sola's Skyborn, that was a really Stupid decision on the King's part, banning Sola from protecting her disabled brother. The King was lucky Sola didn't try to sneak out of Insomnia after them.
"When she's under a lot of stress, she'll lose her grasp of human language." Tredd tells them. Tredd's never had that happen to him, but he also knows that as far as Seaborn instincts go, his are fairly tame. Sola, unfortunately, is way out on the extreme end of the scale. "Sign language she can comprehend, and that empathic thing she does with her magic. She'll lose her words before she Rages, so if it's that bad don't bother talking to her. She won't hear it."
Another glance between Sola's relatives. Six, how many signs had they missed?
Tredd determinedly ignores it. "When she's Raging, either give her space to work through it or spar with her. Sola won't hold back, but she won't try to kill you. But if you need to step out of the fight, make it physically clear that you surrender. Weapons away, hands down and open, on your knees and throat bared if you have to."
The King frowns. "That seems… dangerous."
"Not with Sola." Nyx says before Tredd's temper leads him to say something snarky and unwise to the King. "She'll always recognize her own."
"Shit's starting up again." Luche suddenly says.
Everyone turns back to the Crystal, conversation tabled.
For now.

Trying to decide in the Spark!Ardyn au where Ardyn goes after getting Blessed by Ifrit, because there’s no way on the Pyre he’s sticking around in Niflheim now that he knows Besithia is insane enough to try daemonifying an Astral.
Now the only question is: where does he go?
There’s Tenebrae, the closest and easiest to reach when Ardyn has no identification or money and hardly any knowledge of the modern world. Get Tenebrae world building and politics, stuff on the Oracle family, and eventual interactions with a younger Sylva, who might not even be the Oracle yet depending how old Sylva’s mom is. The threat of Niflheim discovering Ardyn (again) is highest in Tenebrae, given Tenebrae’s proximity and vassalage. The people of Tenebrae would likely be more religious than other countries, so we can build on the established Cosmogony and how that ties into the official religious doctrine. Ardyn’s grief for Aera would be more raw here, with Aera’s family as constant reminders. There’s also the possible conflict of the Oracles potentially knowing about Ardyn’s new Blessing, and if Bahamut had made known to the Oracles of his mandate that no other Blessings are permitted, that could put the Oracles in a position of having to choose between Ardyn and the will of the gods (or at least the only one whose actually awake). Depending on how far the canon historical timeline gets yeeted, Ardyn would be present when Noctis is brought to Tenebrae for healing and would promptly derail Niflheim’s whole invasion.
Next closest location is Accordo. Harder to get to because of the necessity of traveling by boat, but it is part of the Empire so there’s less travel restrictions to worry about there. Here we’d get Altissia world building and politics, meeting young Claudia Claustra and her movement to free Accordo from Imperial rule. No daemons in Accordo, so Ardyn’s magic would stay under the radar longer, and therefore less risk of Niflheim and Besithia finding him. Ardyn would integrate more into city life here, rather than living as a hermit. Dunno what Ardyn would do to make a living, but he’d pick up some sort of quiet career. In addition to meeting young Claudia, we’d eventually meet Prince Regis and his Retinue when they come to Altissia and get tangled in the politics there. There’s also the chance of Leviathan waking up and being Not Pleased to find the former Accursed and now one of Ifrit’s Sparks living on her front lawn. In this location Ardyn would probably get involved with Claudia’s underground resistance movement, and would probably interact quite a bit with Weskham after he stays in Altissia.
There’s Galahd, which has less world building needed (bless @secret-engima) but I could play around with the Clan politics of the time and their oaths to the Crown. Galahd would fold Ardyn in no problem, and without havens and only a scattering of temples Ardyn would put his magic to use the quickest of all locations. He’d be safest from Niflheim here, and pretty safe from Mors sending assassins too. Dig deeper into the differences between Galahdian religion and the official doctrine. Meet some of the baby glaives. Meet Prince Regis when he comes to Galahd briefly. Help fight the Niflheim occupying forces after Mors pulls the wall, which adds the risk of discovery from Niflheim.
Lastly, we’ve got Lucis. Farthest from Niflheim and hardest to get to, but the easiest to disappear in the Lucian Outlands. Would probably set up shop as the og ‘Witch’ of Malmalam Thicket, and meet young Kimya when she shows up demanding to learn from him. Highest threat from Mors’ assassins. Would likely meet Regis and co at least once. Offers the chance for Ardyn to rescue Cor from the Tempering Grounds, including a long overdue meeting between Ardyn and Gilgamesh. After Mors pulls the Wall, would have the threat from Niflheim’s invading forces. Ardyn would be more involved with the Hunters in this, if only tangentially, and might have more interactions with Cid and Cor as time goes on. Of course, being in Lucis means he’s faced with reminders of his brother’s family, and could even make the pilgrimage to Somnus’ tomb if he’s feeling particularly self-destructive.
So, any thoughts or ideas on where Ardyn ends up after running from Niflheim?

Day 4 Recap
Tumblr media
Another wonderful day of Nyx! Celebrate our Hero by checking out these!
Title: Colours of the Heart Author: WhoStarLocked Link: Tumblr, Ao3 Prompt(s): Comrades, Companions Relationships: Pelna / Nyx Summary/Excerpt:
Soulmates didn’t work like the movies in real life. In the movies, relationships between soulmates were always romantic, and the people always met in such ridiculous and dramatic circumstances, and their relationship was always perfect with absolutely no effort required from either party. But it wasn’t real. or, Nyx has been friends - and nothing more than that - with Pelna for years. But after a close brush with death, something changes between them
Title: Not With Haste Author: Garbria / Loki_chan Link: Tumblr, Ao3 Prompt(s): Soulmate AU Relationships: Cor / Nyx Summary/Excerpt:
He rubbed the brown mark on his side, one of the few transferred scar marks from his soulmate. All of his were from when he was too young to remember receiving them. He hadn’t had a new one from his soulmate in years. He wasn’t sure what to make of that. If the marks weren’t brown, he would think his soulmate was dead. He wondered what happened to his soulmate, if his soulmate looked at the few scars Nyx had accumulated over the years and wondered about him. His foot skidded on a rock and he shook his head to clear it. This was no time to be daydreaming. The Lucian delegation was almost here and his mother needed to know.
Title: A Coeurl’s Home Author: Firechocobros Link: Ao3 Prompt(s): Companions, Soulmate AU Relationships: Clarus / Regis / Nyx Summary/Excerpt:
Nyx always knew he wouldn't be King and that was okay with him. Or the story where Nyx might be resigned to his fate a loveless marriage to the Lucian King and never finding his soulmate, but that doesn't mean he's not going to get Galahd the best deal possible. Nyx Week 2023 Day 3 for the prompts: Companions and Soulmate AU!
Title: Sharing is Caring Author: Awlwren Link: Tumblr, Ao3 Prompt(s): Soulmate AU Relationships: Cor / Nyx Summary/Excerpt:
With the kind of trouble that finds Nyx, it's a very good thing he has so many soulmates. In which all of the Glaive are pain-sharing soulmates.
Title: A Prince and a Princeling: Chapter 4: Intruders Author: Niaswish / Shiary Link: Tumblr, Ao3 Prompt(s): Home Relationships: Noctis / Nyx Summary/Excerpt:
Intruders have invaded Galahd and entered Ramuh’s Temple. Nyx would not let that stand, and would gleefully remind anyone why Niflheim and Lucis failed to conquer them.
Title: Comrades! Author: Blossom Adventures Link: Tumblr Prompt(s): Comrades Summary/Excerpt:
For a long time Nyx was fighting for Galahd, and Galahd alone, he would have done anything to see is home free. But now, as he looked across the table he was sitting at, seeing his friends, his new family, made him wonder if he was just fighting for Galahd anymore.

Clone Leak: An AU where it's a little more slice of life (still a war with Niff, still have clones, ect..) just no destiny to die or anything like that. The Niff facilities get found and leaked to the news, and the fact that they all look like Prompto is in the news (though only those that know him realize the connection).
Soulmate Writing: When one reaches puberty, they can start to see writing on their skin. If one writes hello on their arm, their soulmate will get the same writing on theirs in the same spot. That also goes for unfortunate circumstances - piss off your soulmate and you might have to go in public with a dick on your face.
Niff Prince Prompto: Having grown up in Niflheim, Prompto was raised as the Prince along side the Emperor. He was supposed to be trained as an assassin, and when he was old enough, a treaty was put into place: The Prince of Insomnia was to marry the Prince of Niflheim. However, once Prompto is in Lucis, he decides he doesn't want to do that. He wants a normal life. He wants this life.
Cubby Prom: Self Explanatory
Modern AU: Prompto is a piercer in downtown Insomnia, with a thing for needles and tattoos.
Cured MT: AU idea where Noctis, like Luna, can absorb some of the shadow (though not as much) and ends up finding an MT that seems to act... different. He ends up trying to absorb the shadow, leaving behind a completely different figure. Now they just have to teach him who he is.

Traitor!Cor Leonis AU
This one was inspired by @midgarmosquito and their game theory. There is also added picture by @risingoflights that I can literally see when I wrote the last sentence of this.  And I have an excuse to write for Titus as a big brother and father/mentor.
WARNING! In this headcanon is mentioned abuse and beating.
--
- Cor was angry 15 year boy that despised war and decisions made by King Mors, like pulling the Wall to Insomnia's ramparts (he though that it was a honor to serve king, not anymore)
-  Cor started to be more bitter and cold towards everyone ( which did not escape a certain Drautos, who shared the sympathy)
-Titus took him under his wing, which blossomed into beautiful brotherhood (both of them cherish it dearly)
- It was slow and budding relationship from rivals to friends to brothers till death (Titus calls him affectionately “Little brother or tiny daemon”, Cor calls him “ Old bear or grumpy cat”, sometimes calls him “Big brother” when he´s feeling emotionally down)
- But the greatest confirmation of their brotherhood was when Cor came to Titus all bloodied and battered. Titus helped him bandage his injuries, gave him food meanwhile containging the rage inside. “Who did this to you, little daemon?” And afterwhile with choked voice came the answer. “It was my step dad. He tried to beat mum again, so ...” Titus didn´t need to hear anything else. He let Cor crash at his apartment, while he plotted.
- Next day, Cor recieved a news that his stepfather was arrested, for what he didn´t know. He went to Titus, because he knew the older male had something to do with it. When sleepy Titus opened the door, Cor with no hesitation huggs him. “Thank you big bro, thank you so much.”  Titus never felt more alive than at this moment.
- Few years later, Cor is dissatisfied with Regis who acts as a puppet of the nobility. Especially with decisions of the reffugees, who are threated poorly and used as pawns for a war
- Titus introduced Cor to Nyx Ulric, his troublemaker protegee. Cor in private jokes with Titus that Nyx is more like his son. “Shut up, that´s not it!” “Yeah, yeah whatever you said Titus.”
- Titus takes Cor to Cavaugh more specificaly to his village. “This is where it all started for me. My quest for revenge.” Tells him about his family and friends who have died. How from loyal soldier to Crown he became the feared general Glauca of Niflheim.
- There Cor truly meets the real Titus, broken man with nothing  else to lose. And Cor doesn´t even hesitate when Titus asked him to join in their rebellion. “ You have my sword ,Titus. Whatever it takes, I am on your side.”
- Cor met all the glaives that joined, promising them a better future. Is took by surprise by Luche Lazarus, who thanked him for everything he has done for them
- Cor also received information about sleeping agent placed in Prince´s retinue, Titus didn´t specified it just said “ It´s insurance if anything goes wrong.”
- when the Day of Signing came, Cor did as Regis told him with exception that he joined Glauca in the fight.
Nyx´s eyes reflected pain and utter disbelief. “ Captain, Marshall ... It was you two all along.”
- “ Forgive me, old friend.” Cor´s the one who deals the final blow to Regis.
-  Meanwhile Titus went to fight Nyx alone while Cor was coordinating their forces (what's left of them, anyway)
- Whole fight sequence later  Cor at last came to the side of the battle, tired disolving Nyx sitting on other side of gravely injured Titus.
- ” Titus, Titus goddamn it! Here, take the potion!” Titus stops him, his eyelids starting to feel heavy. “It´s okay little brother, you can´t help me ... “  Cor eyes started to water. “No, don´t do this to me Titus. You´re my fucking brother, the last good thing I have left.” Cor catch him by his collar. “As you were my, Cor.”

Intruders
This is based on an au I introduced in 2020 for the NyxNoct week (Chapter 7 of the Heroic Start by Shiary on AO3).
Rating: Teen +
Warnings: Slightly graphic violence near the end. Implied character deaths.
Tags: Hurt/Comfort, implied character deaths, Nyx Ulric/ Noctis Lucis Caleum, eventual fluff, no major character deaths, Dark-ish Nyx, Royalty AU.
Chapter summary: Intruders have invaded Galahd and entered Ramuh’s Temple. Nyx would not let that stand, and would gleefully remind anyone why Niflheim and Lucis failed to conquer them.
Nyx slipped into the night with Libertus by his side, Pelna in his ear, and Luche behind him. The jungle rustled as the other hunters spread out as ordered. They had to find out the intruders that had tried to infiltrate Ramuh's Temple.
Tried and failed but not without injuring Nyx's mother and several other clerics.
The Elders and his father had ordered Galahd searched, the intruders found and brought to justice.
Nyx felt the anger bubbling in his chest as he remembered the bandages wrapped around his mother's throat and arms. Whoever had dared to attack their home was going to learn why Niflheim had so miserably failed. No one attacked Nyx's home and got away with it.
"I've got eyes on tracks." Tredd's voice called out. "Looks like at least 4 people but no more than 10. They're heading Northwest."
They wasted no time in following the tracks deeper into the jungle. The intruders weren't half bad as they managed to use fallen branches, rivers, and boulders to hide their trail. But their tricks couldn't prevent the experienced hunters of Galahd from finding them.
The tracks lead to a small cavern entrance at the edge of one of the smaller rivers in the region. Nyx smirked as he recognized it, seeing his own friends recognize it too.
Libertus chuckled as he dropped into a crouch beside Nyx. "Of all places they had to set up in."
Nyx nodded but waited until his team had gathered around him before speaking. "Pelna, we've found the intruders at Goary Training Cavern. We're going to trigger the traps and wait for them to come to us."
His Hunters all grinned and Sonitus took out a small tablet, handing it to Crowe with a bow. Their favorite mage cackled as she turned it on. It didn't take long before they could clearly see the various training caverns on the small screen. Sonitus had several other tablets that he shared around.
Nyx frowned as Crowe shifted from camera to camera. "That's a lot more than 10."
"I count 3 dozen." Luche whispered from over Nyx's shoulder. Axis chimed in with another ten keeping watch on the edges of the training caverns. They kept watch for a while longer before they were fairly certain that they knew how many intruders were there.
"Fuck. This might be a bit harder than expected. The Marshall is here as are Princeling's friends." There were agreeing noises from around Nyx as he considered how to best deal with these new pests. The training set up within the ground would be too much for the Lucian, it was set up for Hunters after all, but there was no way the Cor Leonis would have too much trouble with it.
Still, Nyx was intrigued in how Cor Leonis would perform in front of... "Princeling?"
"What the hell is he doing here?" Crowe hissed. "He's supposed to be at the Temple."
Nyx pressed his lips together, anger bubbling up in his chest at the sight of the Prince walking freely and happily with those responsible for injuring HIS people! "Crowe, start it up."
Crowe glanced at him, "You sure?" Nyx nodded firmly. She shrugged then started up the training program. "I'm setting this entrance as the finish line."
Nyx felt Libertus squeezing his shoulder. He ignored it as the first screams came through the tablet. Nyx straightened and drew his kukris as he strode towards the entrance. His Hunters followed without hesitation.
When Cor Leonis walked out of the Training Ground, bruised and bloodied but firm, Nyx gave him only a single chance. "Surrender and you will not be harmed further."
"No." The Marshall swung his katana towards Nyx. It was the only thing he did before Nyx Stopped him.
None of the intruders would die. No. They would just be injured and captured for trial at the Temple.
And the misbehaving princeling would pay the price of betraying his duty to Ramuh.

prompto au where he is raised by verstael
i wanted to base his look on some of what we saw from the Versus XIII and a mix of some official wear we’ve seen from verstael and others in the empire.
i imagine this prompto would, for the most part, be the same personality-wise from what we see in FFXV, but put on a more confident facade (again like from what we see in his Versus XIII iteration). his skill set would def revolve more around machinery, firearms, and upgrading mechanical items if he were to join noctis’s party.
~~~~
Lucis and the Niflheim Empire have had tense relationships ever since The Great War. However, recently Niflheim’s truce offerings signal hope for change throughout Eos. After a 19-year stand-off, Lucis humors the Empire’s false sense of security. Prince Noctis, the only Lucian prince, attends the first negotiations in Lestallum. There, he becomes intrigued by the young Niflheim noble, Prompto Besithia - son of the Empire’s Research Minister - and his eccentric behavior. The two begin an unlikely friendship despite the tense atmosphere and the kingdoms go their separate ways with hope for the future.
A year later at the official peace treaty signing in the capital city of Lucis, the Empire betrays the Lucians leaving the wall collapsed, demons running rampant, and a failed assassination attempt on King Regis. It was to be expected really and thanks to help from the Kingslaive the Lucians are able to recover. It isn’t until after the dust settles, however, that an alarming fact becomes apparent:
Why is Prompto Besithia still within the citadel?
HIIIII !! I just wanted to know, do you write for Ravus ? I can't find any new Ravus x reader, so i asked you. AND TY SM FOR CREATING YOUR BLOG DHJBVHDFJKBFJ- hm hm but anyway, have a great day, bye !
And thank you for the request! I’m glad that I’ve been getting more requests lately, it helps me keep this blog alive!
This will take place in an au where everything didn’t go wrong and everyone is happy! Tw: none
A large green house tucked away in the middle of the woods. A place where even the coldest of seasons could not harm the plants that could not harm the plants that were tucked away inside.
A sanctuary where you would spend a lot of your time. Somewhere that you can leave your stress behind the moment you step into it.
Today you came here hoping to do just that. Hoping to find an answer to your problem Though, you highly doubt the flowers and bushes could help.
You were in love with the prince of Tenebrae, and you were unsure of what to do or how to express. Yet, there was another part of you telling to say nothing.
To just let it go and in hopes that this would just be a passing crush. Though, crushes shouldn't last this long. You've had eyes on the prince for a long time now.
It was hard not to seeing as how you spend a lot of your time with one another. You just so happen to be one of his closest friends, and not many people can say that.
It did sting a little when he only referred to you as that, but you were also honored to be considered as one of his friends, and you didn't want to ruin that.
The reason how the two of you became friends in the first place started many, many years ago. Back even before Niflheim took Tenabrae for its own. Those were really dark days, ones you don't want to remember.
You were one of the only survivors left, along with Lunafreya and Ravus. You were luckily able to work at the manor, with some help from the siblings.
It pained you to see your friend change in the worst way right before your very eyes, but a part of you knew that he was never truly on the emperor's side.
All of that's in the past now. Everything was able to work out for everyone in the end. No one else needed to fall in order for the true king to rise.
Because you were so lost in thought, you nearly jumped out of your skin when someone knocked on the greenhouse door. You instinctively grabbed a hand shovel that was in reach before turning around, nearly tripping over a table holding a lot of flowers in the process.
When you were able successfully make it to the door without hurting yourself, you noticed how it was only Ravus, and you also noticed how he was holding a little plant friend while he waits to be let in.
"Ravus!" You excitedly say as you rush over to let you dear friend (and hopefully future boyfriend) in.
"It wasn't my intention to startle you." He confesses, though he did have to hide a chuckle. But how was he to know that you'd nearly jump into the air.
Oh, how you wanted to die then and there from embarrassment. You hoped he would never bring that up again.
You just chuckle it off and place the hand shovel on a table that was sitting by the door. You were a bit more curious as to why he decided to randomly show up, not that you minded at all!
"What are you doing here?" You ask once you open up the door, making sure to step out of the way so he knows that he can enter.
"Is it strange to have me randomly visit?" The man questions as he turns to face you, not even masking his amusement.
"Oh hush!" You say before closing the glass door. "You know exactly what I mean, Ravus." Giving him a playful smile, you walk over to a bed of flowers. On the way you grabbed a rusty looking watering can so you could do some light watering while your childhood friend was there.
Ravus follows closely behind, still holding onto that tiny potted plant. You were kind of curious about that, you've never really seen him care for a plant before that wasn't one you or LunaFreya didn't own.
"What's with the little guy?" You ask, pointing at the plant with your spare hand.
"Well, you're one the only people I know who really care about things like this," The blonde-haired man extended the plant to you, "so,, I hope you accept." You couldn't help but notice that his cheeks seem to be a bit flushed as he offered you this gift.
Placing down the watering can, you happily accept the new green friend into the family. 'Thank you!" You shout with complete sincerity, touched at his kind gesture.
He was only making this so much harder on your heart. Why did you have to fall in love with your best friend, isn't there a rule against that!?
"I know exactly where this little guy will go!" You say while rushing to said spot like your life depended on it.
Ravus just chuckled at your sudden burst of excitement. He only watched and followed once more as you hastily planted his gift to you in a very specific spot by some vines.
"And what made you choose this spot?" He asked from behind, slightly peering over your shoulder.
"My vines needed a friend, but I couldn't find the right one, so you really helped me out!" Turning around to face Ravus, you give him the brightest smile.
His cheeks grew just a tad bit redder from the sight before him. He always liked how excited you got over any sort of flora you saw. How you were able to pull out any fact you could, no matter time or plant.
"Your cheeks are getting red, are you alright, are you getting sick?" You began asking questions while placing your hand on his forehead to check his temperature.
"You do seem a little warm, if you weren't feeling well, then why did you come over?" Anyone could tell that you were clearly worried.
"I'm not feeling sick, and I am perfectly fine!" Ravus grabbed your hand with his only good one. His eyes softened a bit when he realized how worried you became.
It truly did warm his heart to see how quick you acted to see if he was alright, it's not like you haven't taken care of him when he fell ill before. There's been multiple times in fact, but those are stories for another time!
"But, there was another reason as to why I decided to pay you a visit." Ravus continued to hold onto your hand, like he needed to hold onto it to help him find the right words to say.
"Oh? You mean you didn't come here to just bask in my glorious presence?" You asked in an obviously joking tone of voice, which caused Ravus to laugh at that.
"For once, that's not the reason why I wanted to see you."
"What would that reason be?" You have taken note of the fact that he is still holding hand captive, it just made your heart beat so much faster.
"(Y/n), you've been there through the worst. You never left my side when I was the empire's,," He sighed before continuing on with the next part of his sentence, which with what he said next did make you stifle a laugh.
"When I was the empire's lap dog." You kind of wanted to laugh since he just quoted his younger sister. A specific line you never thought he would say, but here you are.
You opened your mouth to speak but Ravus held up a finger. "There were times where you had every chance to leave but you always stayed, for both my sake and my sister's, and for that, I thank you."
The expression he wore made you melt, it made you want to confess everything then and there, but you felt that it was wrong. Especially after he just got done saying all that.
You were going to respond but Ravus beat you to it, and it had just occurred to you that he has not let go of your hand yet.
"What I am trying to say is, you mean a lot to me, you have for a very long time, and I was hoping..." He seemed to be hesitant.
"And I'm hoping that you'd do me the honor in joining me this weekend." It was quite difficult for Ravus to ask that, but because he was so nervous, it just didn't look like that on the outside.
You were trying not to overthink his request, so you decided to take the oblivious route. 'This sounds like you are asking me on a date!" You point out, trying to laugh it off.
There was a slight bit of playfulness in his eyes, but it was also masking the hurt of possible rejection.
"That would be because I am." Ravus lightly squeezed your hand, looking into your eyes for an answer. Whatever playfulness that was there, left.
You just stood there in shock. You've been wanting this for so long but now that it was finally happening, you froze. You never really expected this so a part of you was waiting for it to all be a prank, a joke.
The shock on your face and the lack of response was enough to discourage the poor man. He let go of your hand and backed away from your form.
"I apologize, I'll take my leave now, you can forget what happened here." He tried to mask the sadness plaguing him, but a little broke though.
You finally snapped out of as Ravus turned around to walk away. You panicked and chased after him. "Wait!" You called out to him, hoping that you didn't just lose your chance.
He turned around just in time to have you run smack into his chest, you nearly took the both of you down. Luckily Ravus was able to stabilize the two of you.
"You were going to leave before I could even answer!?"
"From my perspective it didn't look like you were going to answer." He defended himself in a calm tone.
"You caught me off guard and I'll have you know that I accept your request!"
Ravus let out a sigh, he believed you were only pitying him. "You don't have to say yes for my sake, if it's not something you want-"
"It most certainly is something I want! Something I have wanted for years!" And that is where whatever confidence you had, vanished.
You expected him to poke fun, but when you looked, he was gracing you with a kind smile. One that always successfully tugged at your heartstrings.
Ravus felt a wave of relief wash over him once he heard your words. All that panic he was previously feeling was now gone. He was just so happy to see that you felt the same way he did.
"This wasn't how I expected this to turn out, but at this point I should be expecting the unexpected when it comes to you." He was trying to make you feel less awkward about things, which actually kind of helped.
You gave a slight laugh in response. "I'm surprised you haven't been doing that already. With how long we've known each other, you should be used to this by now."
"I really should." He laughed alongside with you, ridding any tension that was there. The two of you just stood there giggling at what just happened.
After calming down, you look him in the eyes while wearing a soft smile. "I will happily accept your invitation."
"And I will make sure that you don't regret it."
"You better." I actually had to do some research on him to properly do this, so I hope you enjoy!
About Prompto
I headcanon that Cor is who took Prompto out of the Niflheim labs as a baby. After he was turned over when he reached Insomnia, he didn't keep tabs of him. He wanted Prompto to have a normal life. He likely doesn't even realize at first that the kid who's the prince's friend is the same baby, until their friendship becomes serious and Cor runs a background check on him.
In all verses, Cor is fond of Prompto, and will encourage him and help him.
I am not against ships with Prompto in this verse or aus.
However.
I also love the idea of Cor keeping Prompto and raising him. Dad Cor is adorable. Obviously, there's no shipping in this au. This verse is kept very separate.
If you see threads with either of these ideas, or if I reblog both Dad Cor art and shippy art, please keep in mind that separation. If this bothers you, I apologize.
Final Fantasy XV- Fate & Destiny
Chapter One, Part One
Chapter One will consist of my own AU backstory, taking place around where Chapter 2 is in the game. For now, I don't believe anything is restricted, although as the story progresses, it will become more mature. Warning tags will be added then.
Chapter One: Fate and Destiny
Fate and Destiny. Synonyms of a sort, though one sounds like doom and the other, a happy ever after. Neither is correct, nor completely wrong. I suppose it depends on the fated or destined situation. I never dreamed one or perhaps both of those words would describe my fortune.
Within the Kingdom of Lucis, the Crown City of Insomnia had been at peace for more than a century. Though to have heard my father talk, it was simply a matter of time until the Niflheim Empire found an advantage, shattering our illusions. It was only very recently the Imperials had done just that, infiltrating and bringing the illustrious city to ruins in one fell swoop. An unknown source had conjured a way to break down the magical barrier which held the Empire’s menacing machines at bay for over a decade, leading to the destruction of the city.
I had only been to the Crown City once or twice when I was very small, and there’s not much I can recall besides long concrete roads and lighted buildings which reached the sky. It was impossible to forget the Royal Castle, the Citadel. It was a massive masterpiece of stone and marble, shining white and, to a child like myself, there was something warm and pure about it. For weeks after my visit, I would ask my father what it would be like to live there, to count how many rooms there were and find out what kinds of people worked there. He forced a smile and gave my head a pat. He told me of guards and cooks, of teachers and royalty, but said living there would be lonely, especially for a child.
He died a few months back, just before we heard on the radio that the Crown City had fallen, and so had the King, the Prince, and his betrothed. It was a sad situation, the Imperials trying to annihilate the entire royal family. Here in Duscae, southwest of Insomnia, King Regis no longer held the authority of his ancestors. Though most citizens still saw him as their ruler and protector, King Regis seemed a myth. It was his magic that had kept the Imperials from overtaking Insomnia and this outlying land, though some were bitter that his focus was kept on barricading his precious capital. It seemed as though he had traded the remainder of Lucis for the safety of the Capital. Since his death, my mother and I had seen several Imperial Warships pass overhead. They were gargantuan metal wonders, or rather, horrors, that appeared to carry perhaps thirty of their mechanized soldiers. I had seen some of these soldiers with my own eyes, dropping from the sky with guns, patrolling nearby towns or scouting the forests as if in search of someone. Rumor had it that they even had tall robots, large enough for a person to sit inside and control, with machine guns for arms, some able to shoot small rockets. With weapons like that, it seemed no wonder to me that Insomnia fell. Yet in all fairness, the warships themselves were a marvel. They had no wings, yet were able to glide through the air almost noiselessly. At night, they could be spotted by the huge, glowing red orb that seemed to power it. As fascinated as I am with Imperial technology, they can keep it far from me.
I’ve lived these past nineteen years in Duscae with my parents, Arthur and Louisa Willowby, on a little patch of land, part forest, part field, with nary a care for the larger world. My father spent the majority of his career in the Crownsguard, a soldier for King Regis, and spent weeks, sometimes months in the Crown City. My mother, also once in service to the King as a music teacher, retired when she found out she was pregnant with me. She and I were able to get by on our own while Father was away, cultivating our garden and raising a few animals. After an injury, my father was honorably discharged from service to retire. However, he claimed he needed to do more. He joined a local Hunter’s group, which basically made him a bounty hunter for large beasts and daemons that had begun to infiltrate the area. With his military background, he got a little cocky when agreeing to take a bounty. Even when a beast seemed out of his skill set, he wanted to make an attempt, to keep others safe. Yet this last mission, well, it was his last mission.
promptis hanahaki apocalypse AU
[originally on twitter. finally got around to writing this! this was supposed to be an apocalypse AU but really - all of WoR is an apocalypse AU. so i just set it there for funsies.
[including the meme photos here for attention. check my QRT in the twitter link for the source.]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the most part, it was all right. Prompto could go for days without thinking of him. As long as no one mentioned him, Prompto could busy himself with other things and he'd be fine.
There was, after all, so much to do in the Dark. He had that chocobo shelter to help run. And the Lestallum armories to maintain. Not to mention dropping by Hammerhead every time Cindy said she needed a hand.
All this and more should have been enough to keep his mind off Noctis.
They almost were.
But now and then someone would say his name. Sometimes it would even be Gladio or Ignis, which made Prompto secretly glad that they rarely crossed paths anymore.
Those two had their own things going. And after years, they only got back together on Noct's birthday as a matter of ritual.
And then, inevitably, they would talk about Noct.
Or at least, Ignis and Gladio did. They never seemed to notice how Prompto would stay silent as they told their stories, and only made small sounds where appropriate.
They must have thought that it was just grief, and never faulted Prompto for it.
Whenever they caught Prompto coughing slightly, they would joke about how that cough seemed to be as old as the end of light.
Prompto only ever laughed along. He hid it well.
But once, Ignis caught him in a coughing fit. He was alarmed by the sound. It was as if Prompto was struggling for air.
Prompto was about to collapse forward, but Ignis caught him.
Flower petals fell on Ignis' bare hand and arm. Then he finally understood.
"Are you all right?" he asked.
"Yeah," Prompto rasped.
More gently, Ignis asked, "Are you lying?"
Prompto answered with a small, miserable laugh.
Ignis sat Prompto down, and urged him to talk about his condition. After some reluctance, Prompto admitted that he believed it started when he was in Niflheim, after he fell from the train.
He didn't know WHY that was when it started, but he had a theory: it was being separated from Noct that did the trick.
"Absence makes the heart grow fonder…that's what they say, right?" he lamely quipped. "So Aranea said she caught up with you guys and when she said 'princely pal', it just…happened." His hands formed into loose claws in front of his throat, as if Ignis could see them. "Like something wanted to burst out of my lungs."
"It must hurt," Ignis said sympathetically. He had read up on the disease. It was rare, but it was sometimes fatal, and it always caused pain.
"Buddy," Prompto bitterly chuckled, "you don't know the half of it."
"It doesn't help that while you feel this way, there's no known cure," Ignis sighed. "Except for your feelings being returned by the object of your affections."
"Yeah? When's THAT gonna happen?"
Ignis softened his voice again. "He's going to come back."
"He'd better!" Prompto sounded cheerful, in that forced way that had become familiar to Ignis. "Because if he's dead and I still have it, I'm probably going to have it forever, and…" He started to sob. "…and that's going to suck, right?"
Ignis didn't answer. He only laid a hand on Prompto's shoulder, kept it there as his younger friend's sobs quieted down and his breathing evened.
Besides fighting the dangers in the dark, Prompto had been suffering unspoken confessions, unreturned desires, choking him from inside, for years.
It was the first time for anyone else to know that he had been fighting the hardest to survive until Noctis' return.
havent written much recently so im gonna talk about/summarize some of my wips because i can (this ended up as all FFXV based ones oops)
-Mermaid AU: mostly pulling from the little mermaid and various mermay fics ive read. noctis and regis are at cape caem on vacation and while playing on the shore, noctis falls into the water and is saved by mermaid!lunafreya. the two eventually keep meeting up and talking. some specific things to bond over include magic and being prince/princess. soon after, the two do some kind of spell that turns lunafreya human. noctis helps her back up to the house from the shore, but its difficult going for the two of them since a) luna doesn’t know how to use her legs yet (and for parts like this, i was thinking of incorporating og little mermaid stuff, like every step hurting) and b) helping luna aggrevates noctis’s old injury (as something i was trying to keep in line with canon).
dont really have more than this, but a possible second half of this would go like this: regis wakes up in the morning and when going to wake noctis up, also finds an unknown girl in noctis’s room. he tries to figure out who she is and whats shes doing here from noctis, but only gets the full answer from luna later. would mostly be regis trying to figure out what he’s supposed to do when he finds out she’s a mermaid princess (with magic!) who’s effectively just run away from home
-Fateswap AU: Noctis is the oracle and luna is the chosen king. main focus on noctis, ignis, and prompto. main “story” i have is noctis and ignis are plotting to escape their niflheim guards, of which prompto is one. the two put their plan into motion: noctis pretends to be sick, prompto goes to help/check out whats happening, and ignis disarms him. its right at that moment that prompto decides yes, he really does want to defect and can he go with them pretty please? ignis thinks its a bad idea, but noctis does agree. thats where i initially ended my outline, but i can see expanding it to include some roadtrip stuff, but its harder to find a solid stopping point after that
-Insomnia: started this one with “somnus couldn’t sleep” purely bc i find the irony amusing and i have fun writing hooks. then i had to work backwards with why he wasn’t able to sleep and it turned into one of my standard introspection oneshots. ends up more as a reflection on being in someone’s shadow/being expected to be like/just as good as an older sibling and deciding to do your own thing despite expectations/comparing yourself to others. this one partially arose because i was on an ardyn & somnus kick as seen in my next wip
-Somnus gets the ring: this one is a mix of gap-to-fill type of fanfic and wanting to do something with the high messengers (theres 24 messengers, but we only see a few of them. soo... [insert free real estate meme here]). I had fun coming up with a High Messenger OC for this, who i mostly based as being an opposite of gentiana in appearance and is dressed a bit like a roman soldier. i also sort of incorporate my HC that the gods/bahamut/messengers very rarely interact with the line of lucis and don’t tell them much when they do. this would be dialogue heavy which is where im getting stuck.
my current outline for the story goes like this: somnus realizes he’s in a dream and in front of him is the crystal and a soldier. somnus quickly realizes the man’s not human, but something divine. the messenger delivers what he’s supposed to say from bahamut and theres a bit of back and forth as somnus tries to pry more info out of him. somnus eventually accepts (almost a vow-ish type thing) and wakes up with the gem of the ring in his hand.
-regis, noctis, and the crystal: takes place when noctis is really little, before regis finds out he’s the chosen king. main thrust would be its cute, and a bonding moment as regis teaches noctis about the responsibility that comes with their (literal) god given powers. events would be: noctis has been slipping out of his room to sleep on the throne room steps (which i HC the throne room to be right above the crystal). regis takes this as a good opportunity to teach noctis about the crystal, their magic, and the duties the gods gave to them as the world waits for the chosen king. they go to see the crystal and noctis finds himself both drawn in and frightened by the crystal and the magic (his magic).
FFXV x Naruto crossover with Hatake Kakashi as Ravus Nox Fleuret that no one asked for, because I stumbled into the FFXV fandom again on AO3 and was reminded this AU existed in my docs
In which Kakashi dies ... haven't quite decided exactly when but before he's made Hokage ... and is reborn as the prince to a nation and it's so familiar to grow up with war on the borders of your country, but this time, this time, he's not just a soldier. He's not a tool. He's not the last shinobi of a dying clan. No, Ravus Nox Fleuret is the only son of a beloved monarch, and his country strives to protect and shelter him. And it is so, so, strange, because he knows that war is hounding the country, that Tenebrae is under Niflheim rule and people are dying, but here, within the walls of the Fenestala Manor , everything is bright and soft and peaceful.
And then Lunafreya is born and Kakashi falls in love at first sight and he's never had siblings before, but this, this is pack. He has a mother who adores them and a sister who's so small and so easily harmed by the cruel, cruel world of war, and he rages at the chains that bind him to a higher position, to the royal line, because all he has known is how to protect by fighting, by taking a blow, on the frontlines. He knows how to command troops from the front - how to utilize a small, deadly force of people to the greatest effect. He doesn't know how to protect against political manipulations and from the safety of the manor - doesn't know how to command soldiers symbolized by nothing but mere pieces on the board. Doesn't know how to fight a war that everyone insists is not happening.
Kakashi has always been one of the foot soldiers. He has never wanted to be Hokage. But he has people and an entire country to protect and while he may not be in first line for the throne, Kakashi is determined to live up to his people's faith in him. He has always been a quick learner.
I'm not entirely fixed on how the whole invasion of the Fenestala Manor goes? If Lunafreya stays back, Kakashi/Ravus will too, that's confirmed, and the story will go differently. Kakashi/Ravus will definitely give his all to see Lunafreya to safety. It would be interesting to see Sylva still die protecting him. Lunafreya stayed back because Ravus was left behind, but would it change if Ravus had yelled for her to stay with Regis?
Subject to change, but I think the events of the Nox Fleuret manor invasion probably plays out with Sylva dying, Ravus staying behind to buy them time to escape. Lunafreya hesitates and looks back at her brother, and he meets her eyes and smiles at her even as he commands, "Go with King Regis, Luna." And Ravus isn't the Oracle - isn't next in line for the throne. He would never rule unless something happened to Lunafreya but he had never been jealous or shown any resentment at being the second-choice despite being first born. Ravus is a prince who isn't slated to be king, but in the backlight of battle, standing tall and fierce, Lunafreya has never seen him look so Royal.
"I'll be right behind you," Kakashi/Ravus states, and it is with this promise held close to her heart that Lunafreya turns and runs.
Lunafreya is a child, and Kakashi/Ravus has had a whole life behind him. Children do not understand when a battle is hopeless.
Lunafreya arrives in Lucis safely. She waits in Insomnia for her brother to appear - battle-worn and weary - at the gates with the ever-present crinkle of his eyes as he smiles at her. Her brother does not appear for a long, long time.
Anyways.
In this universe, Ravus does not blame Regis for leaving - does not spit on his name and call him a coward. He is not a child believing adults are unstoppable - that kings win every battle - that good always triumphs.
Kakashi has been a soldier since he first put on the headband symbolizing his place as a shinobi. He knows what a losing fight looks like, and he understands that despite their alliance or what is left of it, Regis's loyalty is still first to his son and country. All he can hope for is that defense spreading over to Lunafreya as well.
Niflheim opens fire on the Fenestala Manor, and Ravus watches as his home goes up in flames.
(Kakashi remembers being protected and a bijuu towering over his village and the piercing knowledge that he is alone. He remembers betrayal and large beasts in the backdrop of wooden houses and sand in his mouth, and a funeral for a Hokage.)
Might have Kakashi/Ravus be granted Ramuh's blessing? Because the Nox Fleurets have long been the voice of the gods, and although it was only female line with the power of the Oracles, is it any stretch of imagination, for a male Nox Fleuret to take up the role as one of the Blessed as well? And Kakashi with lightning still running in his veins is wonderful. Maybe he watches magiteck open fire on his house, watches his only remaining pack member flee, and he needs to stop it - needs to bring attention on himself - buy enough time for the people who call him their prince to escape.
Hatake Kakashi grows up with lightning in his veins. He reaches for the same power now in desperation and gets a god instead. Ramuh looks down at him, the personification of the storm, and recognizes a Stormborn. The Lawkeeper, the Galahdians call him. Kakashi was ANBU once, and a shinobi even more. He is no stranger to playing judge, jury, and executioner, to being the sword held by his Hokage.
Ramuh grants him a covenant in exchange for one thing.
Bahamut watches over his Lucis kings, the Leviathan over Accordo, and Shiva over Tenebrae, but Ramuh's people have always been the people of Galahd, and they still hold faith in him.
"Stormborn, Twice-Walker," Ramuh names him and says. "Take my people as your own, and I will be your god."
Anyways, Altissia happens but whether or not ends the same is still undecided, but it does happen, mostly because I wanted to draw the parallels for Kakashi between sea monsters and a girl as close as family and blood on his hands that wont wash away.
