I usually talk a lot about Akina because he’s my kamioshi but did you know I actually had a different kamioshi before Akina? Meet Suzuhara Lulu! She graduated in 2021 due to harassment on July 30th but she was the reason I got into Vtubers in the first place and will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Only recently did I realize that some people don’t know who Suzuhara Lulu is and that’s insane to me because she used to be pretty popular among Nijisanji Fans.

So as a small memorial and nostalgia, introducing totally normal art student, Suzuhara Lulu!

Suzuhara Lulu, also referred to as “Eldritch God”, is often jokingly seen as non-human and feared among many livers in Nijisanji. She is rather passive and soft-spoken but often carries an unsettling aura around her through her streams and models. Here are some of my favorite moments of her through the remaining clips I could find:

There more I can post but I wanted to share some more popular ones as of now. Perhaps it’s cause I love psychological and unsettling stuff despite having so much fear but Suzuhara Lulu is still my oshi in my heart despite graduating long ago. Thanks for getting me into Nijisanji Lulu, I hope you are doing better now and that more people will realize how cool you were.

Vtuber Graduations

Whenever one comes around I see a lot of comments about whether or not people should be sad, or expect to see them show up somewhere else, or pointing fingers as if a tragedy has occurred

I think this has always been a little off.

The term "graduation" itself comes from idol group culture, and usually just meant someone was leaving a group and usually following a new career path. It's never meant something so final as the death of someone's career entirely, and isn't supposed to be connotated with a failure on anyone's part. And neither of those reasons are why it's still sad to people.

People get upset when things change, to know they won't be participating in something the way they've gotten comfortable with. It's like when a TV show ends and you wish it would get a sequel, but the creator never intended for one. The writers and actors move on to do other things, and you can still enjoy whatever they put out if you choose, and it certainly isn't the writer's fault for not wanting to continue for another season. But there's still a hole left that won't be the same, because what you liked is over and done.

The only real difference is the tendency for corporate Vtubers to be barred from advertising where they are going next - make of that policy what you will, but the fans deepest in the hole will figure it out anyway; just like an idol fan will either follow the graduating idol's career, or be content to stick with the group they left.

So I feel weird about comments saying "I'm not even sad, they'll just get recruited by another company" or "what's the point of making a big deal out of graduations anymore?" in light of the recent ex-ID retirement announcements, and also the recent VShojo recruits. If the only concern was missing their livestreams, that'd really be the end of it.

But even so I'm still a bit sad about Nina and Mysta and Yugo, and even older graduates like Lulu or Melissa or Mayuzumi, even though I know where their careers took them, because I liked them as a part of Nijisanji. And that's still a feeling people are valid in wrestling with. But I am at least not overly worried - they all leave eventually one way or another, and regardless of the circumstance, they're capable of finding their footing when they land. It just doesn't do to feel spiteful or look so far ahead as if their time there didn't matter.

That's right, it's the 2nd anniversary of our lost succubus of holofive. She was our shining star and a true idol that people and new people never seen her before. If she would've stayed, it'll be whole again! But it's not...

I've been researching this beautiful succubus for since she debuted like her genmates but she's like a forgotten child as time passed by. But since gen 5 announced that she's graduating with a heavy heart due to being bullied like lulu of nijisanji.

If she didn't graduate, she would've seen her new senpais of holo en 1, project hope, holo en 2, holo id 2, holo x, and holo id 3. That's why I want in my dreams. Every gen mate is here. Everyone, everyone, everyone.

Because of this 2nd anniversary of hololive 5th gen and her graduation, holo five is going strong as we speak! A certain snow elf, a lion, orange prodigy, a circus fox and a succubus will be in my heart forever and ever

It’s been about 2 years since you graduated but happy birthday Lulu! When you announced your graduation on your birthday I remember falling into a shock yet even so I watched you off with a smile as you left by the end of June.

I fell out of Niji after you left but I’m grateful for the earlier days when you kept me in with your strange contents and streams. Even though there where many days I woke up or came back to you still streaming despite it being 8 hours ago they where fun and it’s great to see you happier now!

Happy Late Birthday Lulu, thanks for being my first oshi!!
