ok so. I've made several (like two lol) posts about what bug Lurien is. And in my mother post somebody pointed out that their are moths that look like other bugs. And the thing that I liked was they could impersonate butterflies. There is SO much to go off of hc wise. I like to think that maybe PK thinks that he's a butterfly and so does most people except a few chosen ones. (and some people who just found out) the list of people who he told that he's aa moth are: Monomon, his butler, Herrah, and Quirrel. The people who found out are Marissa who, being a butterfly herself immediately knew something was off and evetually figured it out. The other would be the Soul Master. Lurien obviously hates the fact that he knows and the Soul Master uses it as leverage against him every chance he gets. This is one of the main reasons that the Soul Master got away with a lot of his stuff. So some plot for this hc. To set the scene; theres a big party at the watches spire, don't ask me why lol and PKs there for reasons and lurien get drunk. BIG time. Maybe it was a casual party or something idk. But lurien get drunk and PK feels bad for him so they end the part early and everyone goes home and PK brings him to his bed (idk why his butler doesn't, maybe it was his day off or smthin.) And Luriens just like spouting nonsense and PKs like omg what do I do with him and then Lurien confesses that he's a moth not a butterfly like PK thought. (Tbf Lurien never told PK he was a butterfly PK just assumed.) And maybe some feelings get confessed. Ya know. Gay bug stuff. Also angst cause PKs sad cause you know. Radiance moth stuff. Idk PK leaves confused and sad and then the next day even more angst happenes. Tada. Wow. Gay bugs. Who knew. The end. Goodbye. If you end up doing something with this tag me so I can see it.

rules : answer as many (or as few) of the questions about your WIP as you can.

1. what was the first part of your WIP that you created?

the main character. fun fact: atticus wasn't even called atticus! his name was supposed to be 'calyx,' and before that, it was 'leto'! this wip has been going for almost three years, and i am very dedicated to make atticus- calyx - or leto- get the story he deserves. being the very first idea that sprang into my mind, he still remains as my favorite, and the very first thing that formed the basis of beneath the waves, since his backstory and his emotions form the majority of the wip.

2. if your story was a TV show, what would the intro song be?

hole dwelling by kikuo!! this song has EVERYTHING. the music crescendo, the scream (oh my god the scream), the lyrics eerily similar to the ideas in my wip, the soft voice, everythingggg!!!!! the lyrics remind me of my worldbuilding ['the sun, the sky, the moon- so vibrant, all of them'] AND ITS 6 MINUTES LONG. SIX. MINUTES. OF PURE BLISS!!!!!!! especially with headphones omg also the fact that the lyrics can be interpreted as anything just makes it so much fun to listen to. i take it as talking about a literal void in which people are trapped. which. which is basically

3. who are your favourite character(s) and why?

atticus :D he was the first 'serious' or 'story-based' character i made, and i had further plans for him, too. all the characters i made pre-beneath the waves had no further plans for development, or they weren't unique enough, or just made solely for the YA market (young girls, skinny, magic powers). atticus, or leto, at that time, was made purely for me, and from my own ideas. leto was used as a sort of practice for my short stories. then, leto became calyx- a character, not an entity. from there, i got the idea of an abyss. everything spiraled from there lmao

4. what other pieces of media could share a fan base with your WIP?

i got the idea of 'changing the laws of the universe' and 'interacting with the divine'-- yknow, all of those otherworldly aspects from puella magi madoka magica, a magical girl anime, childish from the start, mature at the end. it had a lot of those otherworldly elements, and i find myself leaning to the concepts explored in pmmm whenever i work on Heavenly. if the pmmm fandom somehow stumbles on beneath the waves in the future i have no idea how it'll end. theres a small chance of heavenly and pmmm sharing a fan-base, if i understood the question correctly.

5. what has been your biggest struggle while writing your WIP?

figuring out how atticus develops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! figuring out where i should end this story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! figuring out how atticus's life is gonna go from there!!!!!!!!!!!!!! figuring out how to write tbh

6. are there any animals in your story?

if you take the mariana trench and dump all of its animals into the abyss but corrupt them by taking out an eye or two for an exchange of more teeth and install fantasy elements, yeah you get the abyss's animals. there's also my own species of carnivorous fish that reside in the abyss. my customized fish species play a huge role in the story. those are spoilers (for now).

7. how do your characters get around?

8. What part of your WIP are you working on right now?

if we hypothetically take the lore, the characters, the inner workings of the plot, the events, the nitty-gritty details and backstories as the engines of the car and the plot as the outer plating and wheels, i've created a mercedes (without the wheels)

9. What aspects of your WIP do you think will draw people in?

i don't know 😭😭😭 uhh the lore-lovers will like it. i hope some theorist will pick it up one day and wonder if the author is okay

Out came JOHN CENA OMG! what a pop,what a reaction. He wants to bring WRESTLEMANIA to London!! Grayson Waller interrupts him he wants Wrestlemania in Australia. Cena AA's him. I hope this means a push for Grayson.

Next one Becky Lynch vs Zoey Stark vs Trish Stratus vs Zelina Vega vs Bayley vs Iyo Sky in a women's Money In The Bank ladder match. It was great seeing Trish live,the fans were hot for the entrances but then were quite. I think Cena killed them. This was fairly clunkly, the people did have thier chants,all the women climbed. Trish looked great in this match,the story here was Zoey and Becky trying to stop each other. Trish with a Strarusfaction to Bayley on a ladder. Becky and Trish brawl on the outside,Zoey grabs some handcuffs. Back in the ring and Zelina with a move off the ladder onto another one on Zoey. Iyo climbs but Bayley pushes the ladder over. Becky and Bayley climb but Iyo handcuffs them together,then she climbs and has taken down the briefcase and she's Mrs. Money In The Bank.

Lets get to the next and we have Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor for the world heavyweight championship. The crowd was very loud as Seth stood on the ring apron for a good 2 minutes as the people sang his song. Seth with taped ribs as Finn takes over. A brawl on the outside then back in and taken over,he hits a pedigree,Damien Preist came out,Finn takes over hitting a couple Coup De Gras and one outside the ring off the steps,he goes to the top rope for another but Priest distracts him leading to Seth hitting the stomp to retain.

Well we know whats next. The MAIN EVENT! Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs The Usos in the bloodline civil war. What a match this was,i ofcourse acknowledged my tribal chief. Some very creative and great chants,Solo starts the match,he didnt want to tag in Roman but he did,Reigns takes over but Solo back in. The crowd chanting if you hate Roman stand up this ofcourse annoyed him. Roman back in as Jey hits a suicide dive on him then one on Solo. Then a double spear to Reigns from The Usos, Reigns takes back over and hooks in the guillotine but Jimmy escaped,the referee gets bumped out the ring,The Usos hit a 1D to no avail. Roman and Solo took over,a spear and spike combo,Reigns then stacked The Usos but they kicked out which totally shocked Roman,he broke down. Solo hits a splash on Jimmy on the announce table but Jommy moved. Jey with 2 super kicks on Roman,Reigns with a spear,a kick out. Multiple super kicks from both Usos to Roman,the splash from Jey and he pins Roman. 3 and a half years since Reigns has been pinned. The Usos with victory.

I give it an amazingly epic rating.

OK LET ME PREFACE THIS BY SAYING I HAVEN’T BEEN INTO ANIME SINCE 2014 AND I AM JUST RECENTLY GETTING BACK INTO IT!! BUT

- DEATH NOTE (netflix, crunchyroll, funimation, kisscartoon)

it follows a guy named Light Yagami who discovers that a shinigamai(god of death) dropped a notebook into the human realm and that whoever’s name is written in it will die(and you can specify how, if you’d like). it shows how he becomes sort of a vigilante to put criminals in place. he is then under suspect as the killer by L, a smart and elite person who works with the police and has never lost a case. 

seasons: 1 total episodes: 37

RATING: 10/10!!!

warning: violence/murder, major character death but like thats expected, religious themes(i guess), light swearing

fave characters: matsuda and L are high up there...as well as Mello, Mikami, and Gevanni ships: i mean the most common ship is Lawlight(LxLight) but i think my main are lawtsuda(L x matsuda), mikalight (mikami x light), mikanni (mikami x gevanni), and mellodramattic(mello x matt)/nearlymellodramattic(near x mello x matt)!!! remisa is also cute:( notes: i just spent all my money on the manga! i’m so excited to read it!!! 

- SIRIUS THE JAEGER (netflix,  probably kisscartoon but i havent looked)

the main character, Yuliy Jirov, is the last of his tribe (he is a sirus. so like...sorta like a werewolf) and he is set to revenge his family’s death as a jaeger(hunter. but like. a vampire hunter) but it turns out his brother, Mikhail, is alive and was turned. the main goal of the plot is to find and also somehow protect this thing called Ark Of Sirius , which is sort of like sacred power that was given to Yuliy’s tribe, from falling into vampire hands. 

seasons: 1 total episodes: 12

RATING: 10/10!!!

fave characters: Yuliy...i love him so much; Mikhail, Hideomi, Willard ships: so uh i wouldn’t recommend going thru the ao3 tag because its a common thing to ship the brothers(*disgusted emoji*) but i am working on writing something to fill the tag with hideomi/mochizuki, hideomi/willard, and yuliy/phillip

notes: i think the way the creators did the vampires is really interesting. honestly i watched it bc of the pretty vampire man in the cover. i learned that i hate him but he’s still pretty. THIS SHOW IS REALLY SHORT PLEASE WATCH IT I AM BEGGING TO HAVE SOMEONE TO TALK ABOUT IT WITH

- CASTLEVANIA (netflix, ???)

Dracula sends creatures of the night(? literally don’t know another way to describe them. uh. monsters?) to attack the cities of Wallachia because they killed his, albeit human, wife (her name is Lisa)because they thought she practiced witchcraft. It follows Trevor Belmont, the last son of the Belmont family (a family that basically killed these creatures + vampires); Sypha Belnades, a badass speaker magician; and Adrian ‘Alucard’ Tepes, the son of dracula. their goal is to end the war against the human race. It also shows Dracula’s side of things and follows the two humans that are on his court, Hector and Isaac (they both denounced humanity because of their bad upbringings/experiences)

seasons: 3 total episodes: 22

RATING: 10/10!!!

 Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?*I’ve already talked before aboutKl/apol/lo being the main answer for this (more so than Nar/u/mitsu Iguess because at least I understand where Nar/u/mitsu comes from) soI’ll mention these two:I wouldn’t say that the fandom hasmade me dislike La/namia, but it’s really disheartening that there’sso much content of it that’s either blatantly bisexual erasure(“they’re lesbians sorry i don’t make the rules!” shit likethat) and/or is less about celebrating the pairing and more of avessel to spread hatred of Godot (and very occasionally Jake).  So asa result I don’t actively seek out content for it the way I do otherships I like, which sucks, because  I don’t get to enjoy it as muchas I want to.  It’s my fave f/f ship after Junith/ena, mostdefinitely.As for a pairing I was originally indifferent tothat the fandom has soured me on?  Lmao Simon/Nahyuta anyone?  Backbefore SoJ came out and this was a crack ship that was born out of“omg Simon would think Nahyuta is so anime bishie! ^_^”(because they were aching for a male character to ship Simon with,I’m sure), I was just like “whatever.  Immature and side-eyeinducing, but ultimately, whatever.” Now, after seeing their purely negativeinteraction in SoJ treated as “omgz sexual tension!” when,if it was a heterosexual pairing, I GUARANTEE it would becondemned/considered wildly unhealthy (Kl/ema is the closest thing Ican compare it to?  Like, can’t bitches just dislike each other???),I can not possibly roll my eyes hard enough at this steaming garbageship and the idea that Yuty’s precious luv will heal Simon’s abusedbroken baby birb soul! And omgz they’re so hawtttt together i hopedem boiz maek out xD! It just reeks of “yaoi” fandom (andyes I mean that in a derogatory sense).  Oh, and don’t forget thatFulbright isn’t dead now, because he’s not even treated like he was alive in the first place! he’s just a plot device for Simon to angstover even more so Yuty has more chances to soothe him!  Ew.I mean, I guess it boils down to, Iwouldn’t dislike this ship so much if it was actually acknowledged asa silly crack ship instead of being extolled and placed on thispedestal as if it’s some pinnacle of how a relationship should be. Because ah, no, as a legitimate pairing it really is total andcomplete shit.Most disliked character(s)? Why?GOD well my most hated characters arecharacters we’re supposed to dislike, and/or love to hate?  I sayKristoph a lot for this since Klavier is one of my faves, and becuaseof how innocent Vera was.  Gant and MvK too, because of (likeKristoph) how long they were willing to be so self-serving anddeceitful and manipulative and had no guilt over their crimes?  But Imight hate Kristoph the most because, like Dahlia for you, Holly, Isee him get a lot of apologists, which is gross.

 I see this a lot for Phanty too, theapologists and humanization of him when he’s nothing but fuckingtrash, and I hate the fandom for it? but I don’t care about Phantyenough to really hate him (opposed to hating a certainship involving him COUGH COUGH). He’s just like some meme to me; Ilaugh at him and would rather spend my time focusing on Fulbright andhow much I like him because he’s the one who deserves my time, notthis loser^.   

Kristoph, however, was a betterdeveloped/written character. Even though we don’t know what’s behindhis psych-locks, and granted his motive was petty, I think that’swhat makes him interesting and creepy and realistic, and therefore heevokes a stronger opinion from me.

Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

I really like TUrnabout BIg Top a lot, because I generally like ensemble casts such as this, and Acro is one of my favorite murderers.  I definitely understand why it makes people uncomfortable but I also have to wonder if people dislike it and JfA in general for the reason that there is little interaction between Nick and Edgey.   I don’t think Moe is as annoying as the fandom generally thinks he is, either, I honestly find him pretty sympathetic in many ways; it’s just his testimony that’s frustrating, as the player.

 It puzzles me when this fandom whines for poc/disabled characters and then we have Acro (even though he assumably wasn’t born physically disabled considering he was a professional acrobat but) and lmao no he’s boring.  But wait, actually, it doesn’t puzzle me…  because..... (see below)

What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom?

Oh there’s more than one thing, and it’s certainly not exclusive to the AA fandom but:

If you think ANY character (other than a commonly hated one like Godot of course) is white OR cis OR straight OR neurotypical you’re a horrible person who doesn’t support marginalized folks! 

Along that vein, if you don’t ship X popular gay ship/do ship x het ship, you obviously are just a homophobe! and should kys because you don’t ~respect the source material~ 

Also along that vein, a character is ONLY interesting if you slap on random labels re: their sexuality/gender identity/mental health because that’s what defines them, of course!

Female characters can do whatever the fuck they want and can not be criticized for it, because it’s always justified and they’re always the victims but if you like a morally grey male character (or even just find him interesting as a character!)… that’s right!  You’re awful!

On a more personal note:  It’s perfectly acceptable to develop an AU where Dadworth lives, or where Mia lives, or where Clay lives, or Jove lives, or literally any character not named Fulbright lives, but if you ship (ACTUAL) Black/bright  you’re an idiot who isn’t following canon, how dare you!I hated this fandom going into it so I’ve kind of been like… resilliant to letting it get to me too much, and I have made some wonderful friends and it’s really reinvigorated my love for writing, which is important.  BUt on a whole, it’s a shit fandom and I advise against people getting too involved in it, if they have any opinions on the games/ships/characters that might mildly differ from the majority.
